Indepdendence as a unit.
Task Force Atlas should be fully independent as a force, with standalone assets tasked just for the unit. The base, while not necessarily the base for Task Force Atlas, obviously supports the unit as a major priority.

I have a base and support assets.

-It's not really that bad, but the folks like to build-up a 'lore' surrounding "hell-month" of spec-ops training. Doesn't help that during some of this training they're doped-up like a stoner.
There's a good backstory to why the base is abandoned, though. Simply put, it was never intended to actually be used by my forces, but on the upside it has a ridiculously large warehouse of odd things. Accomodations as noted in the bar-thread, are pretty epicly fail unless you stay at the "haunted" officers' cabins... they only get called that because every officer who has slept in them has gone missing (a non-fantasy legitimate reason, but my people like their lore-craft and never honestly tried proving this one wrong).
Just... for gods sake, stay away from the north-shore...

1. Commander-in-Chief of Task Force Atlas (has authority over the entire force)--> Company Major (commander of all forces in an operation)--> Platoon Sergeant (commander of a team of two to three squads, like the nuke teams in Legion)-->Squad Leader (commander of an individual squad)-->Squad Member(cannon fodderan individual soldier.)
2. Yes.

No.
We've already addressed low command. I meant higher command.
Command structure accepted so far is this: Higher Command --> Field Commander(equivalent of your ComMaj.) --> Squad Leaders --> Squad Members.
The reason for this is a platoon sergeant would either need to be a squad leader in addition to a platoon sergeant, or an extra man in the field, which causes a whole score of issues for either option.
