Yeah sure, that works. Were the Kurds in Europe at some point in time?
It would be good if they won a battle of Kosovo thing but where then defeated and pushed over the straits.

Kurds were likely once as Scary as the Ottomans. Byzantines maybe held out on Morea/Athens, managed to push back the Kurds with regional help, Kurds driven out of the Balkans.
