Right, well my character has become a lot less interesting. A linguist who would rather just walk around the hillsides looking for ancient and extinct languages rather than rule as a king... Eugh...

Well, conquest to unearth historical wonders isn't the worst motivation :P

Honestly, being a cultured badass who picks up swordfighting like a master in order to get past guards and observe historical wonders would be a story I would read.
