Which two?

1. Losing an entire post

2. Watching Jurassic World.
The name's James. James Usari. Well, my name is not actually James Usari, so don't bother actually looking it up, but it'll do for now.

Oh, the first, by a long shot. Losing nearly a thousand words is much worse than sitting through two hours of mediocre action and silly dinosaurs. Not a single one had a single feather on it, and it was really bothering me. The movie, other than that, was good, I guess, but it wasn't a shocker like the first two.
Where must we go, we who wander this wasteland, in search for our better selves?
In Egypt's sandy silence, all alone,
Stands a gigantic Leg, which far off throws
The only shadow that the Desert knows:—
"I am great OZYMANDIAS," saith the stone,
"The King of Kings; this mighty City shows
"The wonders of my hand." The City's gone,
Nought but the Leg remaining to disclose
The site of this forgotten Babylon.

We wonder, and some Hunter may express
Wonder like ours, when thro' the wilderness
Where London stood, holding the Wolf in chace,
He meets some fragment huge, and stops to guess
What powerful but unrecorded race
Once dwelt in that annihilated place.

Gods damnit, I knew that, I forgot it in the frustration of writing up a post to compensate for the fact that I lost my other one. I'll delete it, edit it, and reinsert it when I'm less demoralized.

Just a random question about the world, did the previous alien civilization leave any active defense grids behind that are still around? :P I got an idea of how to put the word "Rigelite" to some use.

I'm not sure. I remember they left behind something still sort of active today but can't remember what really.

Well I had the idea of there being several subterranean bunkers with homicidal automated crystal prism drones actively patrolling those parts of the subterranean. I thought it be a neat contrast. :P

Hope everyone's weekend was a good one? Jurassic World was entertaining, yay dinosaurs!

So... We're missing Constanza (cleared in TG), Slat (post WIP), Oli, Hassan and Kir to get to the back. Tomorrow I'll move forward with or without them, those missing would technically have another day to be selected, so don't fret. I don't see us moving out til this mid-week, this'll give chars the chance to get to know one another and go stir some shit up before the job :P

Minus IJ, if those missing haven't checked in by the time we roll out, we'll figure something out... hopefully... maybe we'll use your character as bait. Always good to have a meat shield -nodnod-

The Gods are crazy this weekend. Non-stop thunderstorms for a while. I think Thor and Perun are having a heavy metal concert and tonight is the encore. A freaking lightning bolt hit I swear a few feet from the house, making me hit my head on the roof from the jump.

I don't know about you, but loud noises are my forte. Plus, I don't watch lightning. The occasional rain shower is nice for my plants, but thunderstorms are annoying.

Are you in the northeast? Because that's basically the weather situation for me too. And it's probably going to keep going on for the next week of so, maybe even more...

Also Min, I saw Jurassic World too just today. :P

Not all plants have chloroplasts. There's at least one parasitic plant that has thrown those overboard.

In other news, I'm fairly certain I'll fail this exam on molecular biology of plants. It's this Wednesday and I still have to do five chapters, plus redo three that I did awhile back and need to freshen up. Then I have to review those and the 4 I just did.
