Also, yes I'm working with her but I don't feel like having any pity right now, I think you understand that."
Naunet spoke, a light smile on her face.
She waited for Laurel to grab the shield before she double jumped on the roof.

"There. We're on the roof."

"You're thinking of the little folk. I am Aes Sidhe. You might also notice I am taller than most human females, rather than six inches tall."

She 'didn't feel like' obeying the rules of the organisation... oh boy... it would be interesting to see how Alice reacted to that. Badly was a given... She shrugged without any apparent concern, "I am assuming you are suffering from the human condition they call 'blood lust'. I do not suffer from that." she took hold of the shield, letting it lift her up, before dropping lightly to the rooftop and rolling behind a vent.

She paused, waiting, listening someone would have seen her and would start shooting, which would give their position away. She drew the sunglasses down, even with the tinting she would see better than any of the humans, plus she could release the glamour and put her whole focus into surviving the next few minutes.

Anowa wrote:There was the sound of a sonic boom in the distance as a large humanoid roughly 12 feet in height crashed down nearly 3 meters from Zara's position. It was Mother and she had repaired 90% of all damages from 5 years prior, she didn't give the mook a chance to surrender, simply blasting him into vapour with a stream of plasma, the second man barely had time to get a shot off before being backhanded into the forest. She turned to Zara and Spoke in a cheeky tone, "How has your day been so far Ms. Delic?"

Mother had deplyoed from the small Island of the coast of Nova Scotia the moment the fighting started, she had just arrived at the manor now, "Ms. Kosa I'd like to inform you that Mother is on station and ready to assist."

'Excuse me sir, it's rude to interrupt a conversation." I followed the man rocking the earth with every step I took, in fact I was ruining the lawn, well at least the groundskeepers would be paid, "If you let Ms. Delic go, I promise I won't hurt you...Much."

Zara was a tall girl, not exactly an easy person the tuck under an arm and she made the most of the situation, deliberately dragging her heels in the dirt to make Tiger-5's job harder...

Then the giant robot showed up. To protect her? She was pretty sure Aegis hadn't invested in anything like that, so where the hell had it come from? She waited, expecting defiance from the trooper. That was alright by her. He would need to put her down, and she still had her legs free, "How has my day been?" she answered, "It took a sudden turn for the worst a few minutes ago... up until then, pretty good."

Alice, meanwhile was not fully aware of what was going on, "Deployed to what part of the field?" she asked the person on the phone, "I'm not getting much in the way of radio chatter now that Nightjar has gone dark."

That was not a good sign, all things considered, but she had more pressing concerns, like not getting her head shot off.

"Hostile mech spotted. Plasma gunners, up front!"

A group of soldiers came forward, wielding heavy plasma guns. They opened fire on the giant mech.

The soldier on the ground looked up at Mother. "I cannot comply." It turned back around and continued on its path.

Mother
As the man called out for plasma gunners my processors skipped into overdrive, It began with firing an Anti-matter missile at the largest concentration of the gunners, then finding a backdoor into the armor systems of the soldiers, causing them to lock up or disable themselves, causing the power armored soldiers to stop moving or deal with the weight of the armor on their own. Next was putting the hostiles radios to full blast and playing high pitched white noise, anyone with an earpiece was deafened and had balance issues, and anyone with a normal radio would need to find a way to turn it off, removing their ability to communicate and revealing their position. In succession I disabled the power for the manors property plunging the area into pitch darkness, illuminated only by gunfire, plasma blasts and fire, then I alerted the Police, National Guard, and West Point, as well as directing several satellites to survey the area. All this happened before the AM missile left the tube.

There was a terrible screeching that tore through the area, a few cries of pain, several soldiers fell over or became extremely sluggish, and the plasma impacted non vital areas, and the AM missile trailed forth, I returned plasma fire into the tree line.

"You joined Aegis, an organisation with lofty ideals with no intention of living up to them?" Laurel looked puzzled, "That is why I did not join Aegis when I was asked."

All seemed to be fairly quiet on the rooftop. Which was probably a good thing. Finding herself with a self proclaimed meta-human lunatic put her distinctly on edge. Open firefights were really not Laurel's thing at all - too many bullets flying around. She preferred hit and run tactics or a one-on-one confrontation. This kind of battle was for the robots and folk in powered armor.

Fox-1 made a difficult decision amongst the chaos. He climbed out of the window of the building and removing the magazine from his gun. He tossed it to the ground, and threw up his hands. "Stop! "Well shit, it doesn't even seem like I have to do anything anymore, and I used that spell for nothing... Bloody hell Mother, you could've held back up a bit. I mean, I was called here for a reason. I'm not going back to Aberdeen and say I haven't done anything. And that lass Naunet is up and about back in the mansion so I can't find her." A red haired woman spoke, feathers floating and lightly twitching from annoyance.

Her claymore planted in the ground, leaning against it and smoking, she spoke again.

"Next time, you should warn me, so I can at least do something. What a pain you are at times. Anyway, are there any hostiles still alive and kicking? I want to fight a bit."

Her rapier's runes glowed through the dark, creating a dim light around the woman.

"I follow them, I just have a hard time having any pity for hostiles right now, which is something rather rare for me, plus, you didn't understand me correctly, it's something I told you to do, never said I would kill them, I can handle myself most of the time. Don't you worry about anything. I can guarantee they'll live, however, what I can't guarantee is whether or not they'll suffer before dropping unconscious." Naunet spoke, her anger had mostly disappeared after all.
She was a lunatic for sure, but only emotion wise.
Otherwise, she followed orders and whatnot.

"And don't worry about gunfights, I can put an end to them if needed. A small solar flare always calms down everybody."

Mother
I muttered a single phrase, "Insignificant trade off." I fired a plasma burst at the man and continued to ravage the treeline.

Atlas
I glanced down at the P90 still strapped to my hip, it was inadequate for the current situation, I needed a rifle or something with a higher caliber, "Alice, can you TK a gun over here for me?"

Mother
The man was very emotional about this, however ceasing fire would result in being disabled, "Hostile action will be taken against hostile action." I continued to fire into the tree line, the forest was engulfing in flames now, people were stumbling out on fire or laying dead, having large amounts of them burned away from the plasma, the forest was a colossal light source providing just enough light to vaguely see, but too much to effectivly use night vision goggles, thermal would also be useless.

The woman noticed Mother hadn't heard her but instead continued shooting and trying to kill the soldiers.

"What a pain you are..." She spoke, bringing out her sword and pulling out a small stone with a rune on it.

"Shield." The woman spoke, the rune activated and created a dome like shield around the various soldiers.

"Ey Mother, will you calm down for a bit? They have hostages, now we have some too, we can trade them out for the ones the lad Alrick already retrieved. And don't try to hit them, I'm putting them in cuffs. Well, cuff is a big word, they're coming with me whether they like it or not." She made small hand signals, telling Tiger-5 to put down the girl, in the mean time, she got out a second rune, she sent it to the ground and stuck to each member of the team in the vicinity.

"Bind." Just as she spoke those words, chains appeared, tying one to the other, however, if some were stupid enough, they could've moved out of the effective range.

Iron Mountain HQ, skyscraper

Black Hand stood and looked at the CEO Office, it had been very much renovated since he last saw it. Black Hand placed his Mask on the Table and sat down in the CEO Chair. "Well.....What to do?" Black hand muttered to himself as he looked around. Just then, Black Hand felt a Jab in his mind, causing him to wince, Black hand then saw a gray misty fog in the shape of a figure, with a jagged Helmet. "What the hell...." Black hand said as the figure became much more clearer. then, the Figure cleared up, revealing the same armor of the Deity he had defeated Half a Decade ago. "Hello Old chum" the Ghost said in the Same deep voice as Dark Lord. "What The!" Black Hand jumped to his feet, causing the chair to roll back and hit the bookcase against the glass. "Malikath..." Black hand said Grimmly.

"Yes! In the.....Not....So real flesh.....I'm a ghost", Black Hand raised an eyebrow, "How are you here?" Dark Lord leaned on the nearby couch, though it didn't compress under his weight since he was indeed a ghost. "Well.....Remember that Stab wound i gave you when i Mortally wounded you? Yeah, THats my little conduit, and Now I'm able to use your mind as a Conduit to be, well, here". Black Hand shook his head, "Great, I'm guessing now you'll kill me" "Well....About that, I'm, well, ethereal. I have no powers, No one except you can see me, and no one can hear me except you, But i can however interact with small objects in the real world". Black Hand sat back down in the chair, "Great, I have you poking around in my mind"Dark Lord moved over to where Black Hand was and put his left arm around Black Hand's shoulders, "Look at it this Way! I'm basically invisible, making me a tactical advantage to help you, and you with you, well, mind, allows me to Be here in the real world" Dark lord stood up infrotn of Black hand, "It's a win win!". Black hand eyed the ghostly image of Dark Lord, the grayish haze over him.

"Fine..."

"There are inconsistencies in your statements." Laurel shrugged, as if that were to be expected, "You are human."

"It is quiet though." she added, "I think the giant robot has their attention."

She broke into a jog moving forward, moving the barrier with her as she went, moving forward until she could see the outline of the SAW gunner on the tree line. She dropped to her knees, cowering behind the Triglav suit as the shield came down, and a split second later the SAW gunner came flying out from the tree line, hit a statue, dropped his gun, then was flung sprawling towards Atlas. The gun came flying his way a moment later, "No killing prisoners! I need to know what this was about."

A couple of bullets had hit Shane while the shield was down, but the powered armor had held up and as soon as Alice was able to fix her attention forward again, the shield shot back up into place.

Tiger-5 ignored this strange woman, continuing toward the building, despite his comrades surrendering. "Do not resist."

"Sin koze" Zara spat, dragging her heels in the dirt. She was half tempted to take this opportunity to attack, though that might turn out to be a lethal mistake with her hands bound and this man's rather nice suit of armor making him a lot less vulnerable to hand-to-hand attacks.

I caught the flying gun deftly and gazed at it, a standard M249, I tpped the ammo box to find it aboput half full, around 50-60 rounds, "Thanks kid." I leaned out of my cover and scanned for a target, I spotted a power armored individual dragging Zara somewhere, 'Where do you think your're going?' I reached out with my hand and 'motivated' his gravity to pull him to the ground, I then fired a round at the back of his knee hoping to ground him for a while.

"Hey fuck you too over there, you're going to get yourself killed. Not my problem anymore though. Okay mister emotional, you're going to be fine, although there has been some casualties, but you're fine now, as long as you don't move and simply stay put. I'm going to get you guys somewhere else while the robot lass is bugging.
And then I'm going to heal you people up. Because I'm not that guy.
You know the type, helps you out but not fully. So yeah, but I'm counting on you to stay put.
If you don't obey I'll have three runes wasted on you and you'll get killed. But we're also using you as a trade money. If anything, we could get our men back." The mysterious woman spoke, she hadn't even told her name, she simply continued and told them to come into a clearing of the forest.

There, she put a rather small totem, a ten centimeter high and wide chunk of wood she pulled out of her pocket dimension to know where they were.
She then proceeded to take a healing rune.
A red glow came from it.

"Even if it's red, it is something that heals, so calm down and just enjoy the ride." She buried it under the ground and muttered something again.

"Heal." Suddenly, a big wave of red energy came from the rune, effectively acting as a painkiller and closing most wounds, starting by the major ones.

"Well, I'll be off now. Remember what I said, no running off or you'll get your team killed."
She flashed a smile and left, a small stone landed shortly after with the name Cuchulain.

Tiger-5 did not seem to notice, and continued in its mission to drag itself inside the building. It activated its beacon, signalling for extraction. "Crazy bastard...." Fox-1 thought.

This was her moment to attack. With her opponent sprawling, Zara wrapped her own leg around his injured one, driving her knee into the wound Atlas had made, "It's over." she grunted, "Give up this pointless struggle before you get yourself killed." or get me killed... damn that was a good shot.

The Laurylis family (and Maen) found themselves in a separate realm, seated on a couch with me standing in front of them, "So here's whats going to happen, 1. your going to find yourselves hilariously exhausted if you try to create a portal or teleport from now on, if you want to travel do it like normal people. 2. Your going to feel the effects of your power usage, you will get tired from overuse, same as everyone else. 3. I'm going to dump each of you on your own separate deserted island without powers for the next 7 hours. If you feel this is unfair.." a grenade appeared in each of their hands, filled with carbonadium shrapnel, and the pull rings each had a number on it. "..take a number."

The man was crazy.. or perhaps he was not a man at all, perhaps he was some kind of meta-human. She had no idea what kind though, she had never encountered a description of him in her research, but she had never really researched any powered armor user apart from, "Atlas!" she called, "A little help over here!"

She struggled, trying to get her ankles around his neck, though realistically, if he even vaguely knew what he was going, she was not going to succeed with that one. Attacking the wound had seemed the best bet and that had not worked...

Atlas
I could barely hear the call over the gunfire but I heard it, glancing at Zara to find her rather tied up with the power armored meathead. I sprinted over to the rather uncovered position, a few bullets pinging off my armor. I grabbed his right upper arm and squeezed, metal deforming, a few rivets popping and his bone turning to dust, before dragging him and Zara to behind a sizable rock for cover, I kneeled onto the man's chest, "Move and I'll snap your femurs like twigs," I looked up at Zara, "You called?"

Oceanside

Techno was working in his lab in Oceanside when he sensed somebody with him. He stopped working and spoke.
"Please. I know you're there."
The Darach stepped out of the shadows. Techno grimaced in his suit.
"All I want is Thunder. Tell me where he is and you may live through this."
Techno suddenly began to laugh. The Darach didn't know why he was laughing and she frankly didn't care.
"Unlikely. I was monitoring Livewire when you made him a similar offer, you see. Your actions do seem however, rather suspect."
She put her hand in front of his face and magic energy emitted from it.
"Tell me where he is, or you will suffer Livewire's fate, firsthand."
"I think not."
Techno pushed a button and suddenly the darach was encased in some kind of clay. Techno began to walk away before the clay began to harden. It then burst into pieces and he was knocked to the floor. The Darach walked over to him with the magic still emitting from her hands.
"That was a fatal mistake, you pathetic fool."
Techno tried to shoot a blast at her but then it went through her. She stood over him.
"No! No, no!"
She blasted him unconscious.

Allies Headquarters

Guardian, Specter and Xcelerate had just returned from a mission when they noticed that the mansion's systems had been disabled. They made their way to the living room where they had found Thunder standing beside Stealth and Apex.
"Allies. I require your...assistance."
Specter tackled Apex and began to pound him while Xcelerate and Guardian moved closer to Stealth and Thunder. Stealth stood in front of Thunder.
"Allies, please. We don't want to fight. Just listen to what Thunder has to say."
"You are the aggressors here. Your teammate attacked mine."
Guardian looked over at Xcelerate then to Specter.
"Specter, stand down."
Specter looked at Guardian before punching Apex one last time.
"Now I'll stand down."
"It appears someone is attacking my team. Someone has declared war on me."
"Why Thunder?"
"Hell if I know. But so far, Techno has been unresponsive and I can't find any sign of Livewire. They're eliminating my team one by one looking for me. I am asking for your help. Do I have your word that you can help us find out who it is and assist in taking them down?"
Specter and Xcelerate looked at each other while Thunder held out his hand.
"You have my word."
Guardian and Thunder then shook hands as Thunder smiled.
"Good."
