"Run up to them and punch them in the face?" Alice suggested, "Or hit them with the Halberd? Otherwise there are P90s in the armory." In fact, someone had left a P90 on the sideboard... probably when they were upgrading to a grenade launcher.

"And I wasn't joking about the pierogi in the kitchen." she said as she moved to leave, "We can eat when this business is complete."

"Commander Lareylis." Zupan's voice sounded deeper and a little tinny from inside his powered armor.

His appearance seemed to put the Aegis troopers at ease, "Your presence is unexpected, though not unwelcome. It would be worth discussing whether a business case can be made to expand operations in Northern Europe."

"These two..." he motioned at Heamet and Alrick, "Are your brothers? And they wish to speak to Commander Kosa? What has happened?

"Well, both of them wish to speak to Commander Kosa because of personal matters, they know her personally and thought nothing wrong with a small courtesy visit, however, Alrick, the taller and lightly jerk looking one felt that something was about to go down, so instead of warning her and creating panic, he simply stayed up there to confirm whether he was right or not." Naun continued to explain the situation calmly, still not slipping in her words.

"Fuck you too sis." Alrick shouted from his 'pedestal'

"Do not mind his interruption, however, do continue with what you've said on the business case in Northern Europe. We have a high sphere of influence ranging from Germany to Greenland, so we can hope to make a lot of things develop." She continued, genuinely interested in the propositions.

"We can discuss more inside." nodded to Naun. He glanced up at Alrick, not looking especially impressed, "Though first we should deal with this personal matter. This meeting may go on for some time and it is really only of relevance to Aegis personnel."

"What is perhaps more important to Alrick is he will find it boring." Alice supplied. She had changed into her own Aegis gear, though unlike the black uniforms the soldiers wore, Alice's kit was in winter-pattern camouflage. It made her stand out like a sore thumb... which was the point. She was easily identifiable as the most threatening person on the field and could draw fire away from her 'muggle' support troops.

"Hello Alrick." she greeted, "It's been a while. What brings you and Jesse Pinkman to my humble abode?"

"He doesn't like science that much, plus... I'm not Walter White and if I had cancer I'd most likely ask myself how'd that happen. But anyway, I came here because I wanted to know where Laurel was, and since you spent a lot of time with her, I thought you might know where she was." Alrick spoke, calmly, lightly stretching himself, he was in his living body, a rare occurrence.
"Damn, I haven't been in my living body for ages... Also, we're still Aegis affiliates right? I mean, the original team may have split up but we're still affiliates and her bodyguards no less, could they get it straight even if we don't look like it? I'm undercover most of the time. So I don't wear my shit wherever I go."

"Who's Jesse Pinkman? Sounds like a Kirby boss or something. We're still affiliates though. And I wouldn't really mind attending to that meeting, after all, it does concern me a lot as well." Heamet said, greeting Alice with a waving hand."
"Also, I smelled something good in the kitchen. So I was wondering if I could eat with you guys." He continued, letting his air head personality show up.

"Good, then we shall. But what my dear brother Alrick, felt something that could be similar to a drone, so he kept his post up there hoping not to draw attention from anyone.
By the way Alice, I found it preferable to hide the fact that Heamet actually time traveled back to now, it would've been hard to believe and just would've put us in a bigger problem." Naunet spoke, completely forgetting the hierarchy.

Alice gave Alrick a blank stare for a moment before asking, "You want me to tell you how to get in contact with Laurel? This is the same Laurel Alaunus that I am thinking of? You do realize she's not human right?"

"Actually..." she seemed to suddenly decide she was going to be helpful after all, "If you want to get Laurel's attention go out into a place she will be able to sense, some ancient woods or a stone circle, and do something she'll find interesting, like knife fighting a bear while blindfolded. You know, the kind of thing that would impress an immortal hunter."

She hen turned her attention to Heamet, "Are you intimating that you want to sign up with Aegis? Because this organisation isn't a country club - you can take a job with us but there are expectations and rules."

Heamet looked at her with a anxious stare.
"Ah... Well, it's unlikely that I'll manage that. So unless you know what I'm capable of... I'd rather not. Plus I live an easy life going wherever I want and tag along with Gramps so it's cool." He spoke, he felt anxious at drawing back what he said.

"Well I take it we aren't welcome anymore but thank you anyway. I'll go and do that. Don't worry, I won't summon the horsemen of the apocalypse, I had a dream about that once and gods did you and Hussar give me shit about it. Although, I think it's an accurate description. Anyway, bye, going to... Probably somewhere magical and shit, maybe something like the Bermuda triangle or Stonehenge, we'll see." Alrick cut before tapping Heamet's shoulder.
"Well, we're out now, bye Naun, see you at home. Heamet, keep a portal here so she can come back home."

"Roger."
The both of them disappeared, leaving only one portal on the ground with something scribbled in the air.
Portal back to home

Smiling at the thought, the commander spoke.
"Well, might as well start with the meeting then."

"Actually..." Alice said to Naun, as the pair departed, "I was vaguely hoping you'd take one of them on as a Lieutenant and try to knock some sense into them. Sooner or later their little indiscretions will go to far and they'll end up being hunted by one organisation or another."

"There is a summoning ritual to get the attention of the Faie your brother is interested in." she gave a slight smile, "I get the impression he wants her for a bit more than a friendly chat though... which is why I didn't give it to him. He'll have a far better chance of winning her affections if he impresses her, rather than dragging her unexpectedly out of her dimension."

She led the way back across the lawn towards the house, "In any case, this meeting has taken a somewhat unexpected turn. I had initially been planning to meet with Zupan and discuss what the ramifications of the MHR bill will be for the Meta-human community in America. My preliminary feelings are that it will lead to an exodus and Europe will absorb the bulk. This will lead to increased Meta-human crime and a need for Aegis' activities. If we can promote ourselves as a viable organisation that will work with local Governments and Law Enforcement then we are virtually assured more contracts in the near future. It would seem prudent to expand our operations in anticipation of the increase in business... at least that was what we were initially going to be talking about."

She paused, darting a sideways glance at the other woman, "Atlas has shown up and wants to talk about the MHR bill."

Naun would definitely know that Atlas was a large part of the reason for the existence of Aegis. Alice believed he was an out of control mutant with no respect for the law. She had diverted a lot of the organisation's energy into plans to combat him... though Naun would also know Alice preferred talking to fighting and believed strongly in redemption. Anybody could change.

Briefly chuckling at her mention on the side of the ritual to summon Laurel, she became serious after that.

"I see, problem is, France and Spain already have trouble with immigrants and Germany is just full of them, I know that Germany could handle them for a short while, but on the long term, nobody is equipped for Meta Humans except Norway, Iceland and Finland, which are the places we've mostly worked on, Denmark is on it's way as well. But with the political problems over in Sweden, I momentarily held myself from trying to make anything pass, after all, if they can't handle their own people without meta humans, how could they handle actual meta humans?" She spoke, giving a very brief report of what had been happening.

"Also, going on the subject of my brothers, Heamet would make a good lieutenant, but that wouldn't be the point of knocking some sense in him, since he is the most sensical of the two, and taking my brother for lieutenant would just be impossible to manage, he's like a wolf in cage if I make him that, he'll go crazy one of these days and we'll have to put him down, which I don't want. Even if he does have his moments of postal... I'm not going to lie that I've covered some of it up, but I'll join you on this and I've already warned them, they can't continue like this and expect me to cover it up. Oh by the way, have you ever met the gods? They usually have some good ideas." Naunet continued, slightly going off track before being cut by Alice herself.

"Atlas? You mean fallen angel guy that's kinda like my brother but calmer? Him? Here of all places? You really must have good reasons." She knew what she thought of him and if she had welcomed him here it meant that something was about to go down.

Atlas
I had wandered out to the courtyard following the woman in the riot helmet, and stood there for a while as 'Commander' Lareylis and Alice spoke to each other... less than 6 feet away... talking about me, "You know I'm standing right here right? as in I can hear you? really well?"

"Well all of those places are bound to get an influx, and the first wave will probably be of the less salubrious variety of Meta-human." Alice commented, "I would predict a crime-wave that local Law Enforcement will struggle to handle."

"Now as for your brother and Heamet, just keep doing what you're doing for as long as you can. I haven't met your gods, no, but nothing and nobody will have a better idea of what to do about your brother than you - you're his sister. The only thing I would say, is this MHR bill is bound to have a flow-on effect overseas. The whole world is going to be looking at us as a problem they need to fix. If there is any way you can make your brother a part of the solution..." she left it at that.

Alice gave Atlas an innocent, wide-eyed look, "Yes.. I didn't say anything innacurate did I? You wanted to talk about the MHR bill?"

I nodded at that statement, "Yes. But I've been looking around and most of the rent-a-cops here are looking at me like I'm three seconds away from eating them, combine that with tin-man over there," I gestured at the man in power armor, "and the fact you made ammo specifically for me, tells me you dumped a assload of resources into finding a way to kill me, something I'm not to keen on. But yes I'm here to discuss the repercussions of the MHR bill, it would be better if we discussed inside."

"Well the last time we met you were ordering Grendel's steroid enhanced brother to smash a man to bits." she said, in her usual sardonic tone, "There has always been a reasonable chance that you would return from your Mountain holiday and start murdering anyone who looked at you funny. Aegis takes rogue Meta-humans very seriously."

She paused at the entry back into the house, nodding to Delic who was just making her way down the stairs, "In any case, don't take it so personally, there is also a plan in place for if I go rogue."

"A dart gun with a heavy dose of barbiturates." Delic responded, "Then restraint using those peculiar restraints Apex manufactured."

"Anyway, I need to get changed, as does Zupan. Delic, can you keep our guests entertained for a while?"

"Aye, Commander." She gave a small bob of a bow to Naunet, "Commander Lareylis." she said formerly, then directed a look at Atlas that didn't look quite as openly hostile as it had before, "Did you know this is a dinner meeting? You might want to get changed if you don't want to break the chair, sjevernjak. Or at least take the armor off... unless that would make you naked."

Ulrich dangled a man over the edge of a roof. "You think I wouldn't catch you? That you could run from me, you sick bastard? You can't outrun justice." The man flailed and struggled. "WHAT DO YOU WANT!?" "You know what I came here for. You screwed over innocent people while you lines your pockets." He dropped him in the roof, then quickly pounced and snapped his neck, then kicked his body off the roof. "Dogs get put down." Ulrich disappeared, leaving his calling card, a red serpent in a black background.

You might want to get changed if you don't want to break the chair, sjevernjak."

Smiling, she spoke to Delic.

"No need for formalities, just call me Maat or Naun, either is fine. Also, might I have the information on what could contain me in the possibility that I go rogue? I'm simply asking, if that is not something to be revealed to me, then so be it." She spoke, calmly as possible.
"Also, I just can't get rid of the sun disk. Neither can I get rid of the sun tablet. I can minimize it, but that's all."

Meanwhile, at Stonehenge, Scotland

"Okay, so we've got there and we need to do an amazing hunting feat. Thing is, what should we hunt? I would guess a manticore, but they aren't exactly from there, are they?" Alrick spoke, sitting in the middle of the circle of stones.

"Well, Manticores are native from greece, antic greece to be exact. What we would need to hunt here would be a wendigo, or something similar like a leprechaun or something. Wait, didn't they have a shitload of vampires in Scotland? Oh wait! The Green man!" Heamet tried to explain, before jumping off one of the stones.

"The Green man? Are you serious? He's literally unkillable. Sure, it's said that he can't be cut, but we can't just get up to him and pull out an adamantium/carbonadium alloy and wreck his shit back to here, it doesn't work like that. The same way, we can't just kill a selkie and get it here, plus I think they're sacred so if we kill one of those, we'll get so much shit from literally everyone that we'll have to live with it until we die, and I do not want that at all. I already take enough shit from people like Alice, Atlas or even Naunet sometimes." The anchor replied, explaining calmly, lying down on the stone in the middle.

"Point taken. so we need to hunt a beast, so no vampires, those won't impress her at all, wendigos? Nah. Those are just the most dickish beasts I've ever met. Oh! I have an idea!" Heamet suddenly shouted, hitting the palm of his hand with his fist.

"Go ahead?" Alrick continued, slightly confused.

"A Nuckelavee! We could capture one! Or just flat out kill it, with out own hands though." Heamet explained, looking as excited as could be.

"Waitwaitwait. A Nuckelavee? You mean the absolutely disgusting thing with veins and muscles showing that just killed for the heck of it and was almost fusioned with a horse that was the same way?" Alrick looked lightly anxious.

"Yes exactly."

"What the actual fuck is wrong with you? I like that. Let's kill one. And just for glory, I'm going to kill it in my human body, all organs in." He smirked and jumped off the stone.
"Where can one be found?"

"I'd say at night, likely where a battle took place, we'll just search the highlands. We'll find one eventually."

Eds eyes shot open as he sprung his trap. He summoned up a pair of blade constructs from the music and smashed through the glass intobthr control room, shredding the guard to pieces. He cranked up the sound system, causing the music to flood the halls. The two armed guards burst in, and opened fire. Ed exploded into a shower pink light, then reformed, bisecting the two guards. He exploded down the halls, shredding security officers like tissue paper. He also smashed open as many cells as he could, freeing dozens of imprisoned Metas, monsters, and creatures. There was chaos as the Facility was overwhelmed by a wave of rioting prisoners. "I'm free, baby! Eddie is back in action!"

Ed exploded out of the hidden entrance, the freed prisoners scattering. He amplified his own voice. "EDDIE IS FREE, BABY! FREE!" He made wings and carried himself towards the nearest town in search of life sustaining music.

Perking up at the sound of Atlas suddenly speaking to her, he heard what he said about Alrick.

"Well, he refuses categorically, but he does his job and settles paranormal happenings across the world as well, so the hyperactive bomb wouldn't be him I'd qualify Heamet of that, if you've ever met him in person. Did you know Alrick personally? I heard he helped in Godkiller, in which you participated in if I recall correctly." Naunet spoke, she was oddly calm about everything that was happening, usually, she would've tripped in her words but for some reason today, she didn't. Likely because of the fact she had came back from a meeting prior to the one about to happen.

Hartman grunted, watching Alice via drone. "Activate plan A. We'll see if she takes the bait." Hartman lit a cigar. "We're gonna catch us a Meta, boys."

An hour and a half later, a letter was dropped through the mail slot.

"Alice,

We need to meet. Come alone. Its important. Come to the address below and we can talk.

I shook my head, "Anyone who has untreated mental disorders aren't usually stable, A Meta-Human with untreated Mental disorders is a walking bomb, if they don't now how to deal with it then one day they'll end up snapping, unsure of whats going on and how to fix it, either that or their problems lead to excess stress and a decline in health. Do everyone a favor and get him a few meetings with a psychologist."

"The thing is, he doesn't have any disorders. He's just like that, it's his personality, although he has calmed down, he just snaps at people that pissed him off, he doesn't bottle it up. I guess you could say that the one crime he is guilty of, is being overly honest about himself, albeit being a weird way of putting it, I think you can guess what I meant by it." She smiled genuinely, yet inside, she was worried that something might happen, as her brother thought and she would certainly not be ready for it.

"If you do meet him again, don't think ill of him, and if you have to work together, he will gladly do it if he believes in the cause he is fighting for."

I stared at the woman, "How do you know he doesn't have any disorders if he never got tested? Mollycoddling someone is a terrible way to treat them. and from experience I know what an altered mind looks like, get him a psychologist." I looked away from her as we entered what looked to be a meeting room of sorts, long wooden table, some fancy wooden chairs, both made of teak, at least Alice knows how to compliment hardwood, although it worries me were she got her funding from. Possibly the aristocratic looking guy who was with Alice when I was summoned? No, that wouldn't be economically sound there are most likely several installations like this all costing a significant amount, combine that with the paramilitary force and the cost of all this is immense, I paused before mumbling to no one in particular, "A lot of work needs to be done."

Delic gave Atlas a stony glance that more than suggested she found his attitude highly suspicious, but did not deign to say anything further. She hoped Kosa would not make some kind of deal with him - she was one who was rather prone to showing sympathy for the devil...

As if summoned by the thought, Alice appeared at the top of the stairs wearing a modestly cut black dress, "Zara." she said, smiling at Zupan's Lieutenant, "Can I borrow you for a minute?"

Delic gave Atlas another quick looking over - he could be hiding anything in that armor, then went up the stairs to a small landing where they were joined a few moments later by Zupan, now wearing a white shirt and tailored charcoal shirt. An animated discussion followed in which the two Commanders were quite clearly ganging up on Delic. After a few minutes she sighed, glared at Atlas for some reason, then stalked off.

"I told her she is expected to join us, rather than lurk in the corner looking for trouble." Zupan explained as he and Alice got to the bottom of the stairs, "I value Delic's input in Southern Europe, she tends to see the threats that others miss in their over-confidence." he said.

The dining room was the kind of dining room you would expect in a manor - big, and dominated by a long oak dining table and flanked with rows of artfully carved chairs... one space was different though. Someone had replaced the chair with an empty beer keg and from the way Alice's eyes gleamed with suppressed mirth while she studiously pretended not to see it, it was her idea.

"As I am the host, I will take the head, and according to the rules of good etiquette, we will put Shane on my left and Andre the Giant on my right." that was the beer keg, "Naun, you are next to Shane, Zara will sit next to Andre... and yes I am dropping the formalities." she added more for Naun's benefit that anybody else's, "Formalities and food don't mix." She clapped her hands together, "Now everybody, sit down and Andre, you can give us the spiel you were about to launch into before Spongebob and Patrick showed up looking for Tinkerbell."

Sighing she continued.

"Well, I actually know this for a fact, Lios possessed him and locked him out of his consciousness for long enough so that he would get a checkup, and as it turns out, he hasn't got anything, he's just like that because he is. And unfortunately, no one will change him now. Anyway, time to get to work."
Naunet sat down on a chair and waited, occasionally exchanging a few words with the gods.

Whispering at a low enough intensity Khnum started to speak, his voice was very low, dull, but somehow comforting.

"Maat, is the angel really trustworthy? He did come to insinuate your brother had issues with his his own mind, and it is blatantly obvious he hasn't got anything, maybe he is here to create discord between you and your brother?"

"I highly doubt it, if he fought with my brother, I don't think he has made up opinions about him, simply misguided, nothing to fret about." She spoke, her disk close to her, floating around irregularly.

Quickly changing seats to put herself in her assigned place, she lightly smiled at Alice's thoughts and personal issues with etiquette.

'It's nice to see that they do care about you, even in a high place.'

Atlas
I looked at the chair suspiciously, hoping it would hold up 430 pounds, I sat down, the chair creaking a bit but it held, I removed my helmet and set it on the table.

I waited until everyone was seated before speaking "Okay so, I was gonna launch into a tirade when I first got here but it would be better if I gave you the jist of it. The MHR act, if you've read it completely, mentions several worrying prospects including RFID chips implanted into Metas at birth, special facilities to contain meta criminals, special trails for them as well, that is all standard and expected. What isn't expected is the SCP Foundation, I'm sure most of you have heard of it, if the bill passes the SCP foundation will be given the same treatment as the NSA in terms of leeway, the CIA in terms of secrecy, and the FBI in terms of armed forces, they will also be legally allowed to kill meta-humans with powers labelled too dangerous, regardless of intentions. How will they be able to take down meta humans of that scale you may ask? they'll be able to do it because they're developing a few nasty things which technically banned via the Geneva conventions, however they technically aren't either, I don't know their specifics but on paper it claims to be able to depower mutants and damn near kill mystics. I also found a list of a few 'Dangerous Meta-Human subjects' they have already tagged, among said list were: Laurel, Myself, Heamet, and Alrick. anyone who may know them is a target as well, obviously this is concerning for you all considering your relationships with said individuals, myself not included. and Aegis isn't ready for this."

I took a sip of water from a glass in front of me, "Which is where I come in. we have 3 weeks before the Act goes to vote, we have that amount of time to turn Aegis into a force to be reckoned with, because truthfully, at the moment there isn't much you'll be be able to do against SCP if they come knocking. This included improving weaponry and armor, from peashooters and riot gear, to something with oomph and can stop a few bullets. Among other things" I looked at Alice, "All I need is for you to accept my help."

"Well, personally, I am not against your help. Plus, since two of the main targets are siblings, might as well start now, however, my team spoke about it in a meeting prior to this one and as expected, the Meta Human community is well welcomed up there and the act has a very low probability to be voted for in Northern Western Europe, the nordics are flat out against it and are fully with us, except for Sweden for political reasons." Naunet spoke, she knew the things could take a turn for the worst if the meta humans started immigrating in Northern Europe, and nobody except Finland and Iceland would be ready for it.

"Heamet is already working with our engineers to design new weapons and armor, of course, if they prove to be efficient, I will submit the issue to you, whether or not those weapons and armors are to be used."

"We use the 'pea shooters' to reduce collateral damage." Alice said bluntly, everyone misses, even Zara from time to time, and most times we are trying to apprehend an enemy in an urban environment. On top of which they are compact, easy to maintain, reliable and the position of the ejection port means they can be used ambidextrously which is safer for our users."

Zara had managed to find jeans and a white T-shirt. She looked definitely under-dressed next to Alice and Shane, though she wasn't wearing fatigues, "There are larger caliber weapons." she said vaguely, mostly referring to her own collection of rifles, but like Alice has been alluding to, we're not the army, we are Disaster Recovery and Law-Enforcement-Assistance. From what I understand your proposal is to turn us into some kind of paramilitary outfit.

While she was speaking the first course came out - some kind of South-Eastern European soup made from sauerkraut and sausage... though Zara's didn't have any meat in it. She continued, "The problem I see is this. Aegis has always worked within the parameters of the law, cooperating with Government when Government wishes to cooperate with us. Are you proposing we try to go toe to toe with the SCP Foundation acting as an arm of the US Government? Because that is no longer seeking justice within the parameters of the law. That is a revolution."

I Chuckled at the girls naivety, "Allow me to reiterate, Alrick, Heamet, and Laurel will be hunted for the rest of their life, and if they get caught they die, do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars, them and countless others will go through that if you don't do something, Alice. And the reason 5.7 rounds are so hard to come by is because they have unpredictable wound channels and low muzzle energy leading to more deaths than 5.56 or 7.62 calibers, that's a fact. You'd know that if you hired people who knew what they're doing."

I chuckled some more as I looked around, "The hypocrisy of this operation is hilarious as well, you claim to be a charity yet you spend billions on mansions and weapons research. You claim Aegis is peaceful but you're better equipped than most SWAT teams. You say you want the best for humanity but you have yet to do anything about world hunger or poverty and allow Qatar's human rights abuses to continue for a fucking soccer game, You say you aren't a paramilitary force and stay within the law but you have fucking grenade launchers, Blackwater can't even buy those, because their illegal, full auto P90s, which you have, are illegal in every state, period. Power armor? really fucking illegal. You've already broken so many laws and promises already it's a wonder you haven't been lynched, oh, wait no it isn't because you have an army of rent-a-cops. The path you've chosen has one ending Alice, and right now is when you choose that ending."
