I walked up to the gate of the decently sized manor on Long Island. Finding the abode wasn't hard, at all in fact, Google was a major help and for someone as high value as Alice Kosa I expected more security than a gate, some fencing, and a few cameras. Maybe she had motion lights and a rather vicious sprinkler system, who knew.
I jumped over the gate and landed on the cobble driveway leading to the woman's garage, I silently made my way to the door before hitting a snag, the door would make a shit load of noise if opened, 'I swear my lack of forsight is gonna be my downfall.' I then facepalmed my helmet realizing my plan was overly complicated... and creepy as fuck, I walked down the darkened path leading to the frontdoor before plucking a feather out of my wing and stuffing it into the mail slot, my hand went through as well, I gazed at the delivery method before realizing how easy it would be to stuff a bomb in there, a decent sized bomb, 'I've seen IEDs smaller than that.' I glanced up at the camera silently recording me, 'I wonder if the halberd on my back is gonna send the wrong message... nah' I shook my head before ringing the door bell and flying away, east to Chicago, to visit another old friend of mine.
"We have movement by the front gate." Alice Kosa didn't keep the best security in the world. She wasn't going to live her life in fear because she was a Meta-human, and she was more than capable of dealing with the run-of-the-mill stalker types. Still, there was Aegis equipment in the other garage, so it paid to keep some security around - that stuff was dangerous in the wrong hands. Right now one of the security force had noticed Atlas.
"What do you see?" came the crackling reply over the radio.
"Obvious Meta-human, huge, armed and armored. Had wings."
There was a pause from the other end of the line, "You think its him?"
"Possibly." the guard didn't want to commit to that kind of answer, "Though if it is, its a pretty big coincidence when we have Triglav due to arrive here within the hour. He seems to be gone."
"I'll inform the commander. Stay alert you'll be relieved from your Station shortly, I am going to issue Milkors with some of that new HESH ammunition." the radio chattered back.
"Roger that." the guard in the office replied. He replayed the recording. Could that be him?
It took Alice all of about a minute to get to the camera monitoring station. She was dressed smartly in a grey skirt-suit, "Hey Wilson!" she greeted the guard cheerfully, "Seen another squirrel?"
"Haha, very funny." Wilson replied, rewinding the recording to the point where the giant suited guy came in.
"Well I'll be damned." Alice whistled, "After five years. What the hell did he put in my mailbox?"
"Could be a trap." Wilson advised.
Alice shook her head, "No. I know Atlas, if he wanted me dead he'd come through the front door guns blazing. He's not the kind to sneak around. Just radio to Triglav, tell him to keep his eyes peeled, we don't want his helicopter getting knocked out of the sky. I'm going to go and collect the mail."
Half an hour later the helicopter touched down. Immediately a pair of suited men with P90s hopped off, exchanging a quick challenge and response with a trooper in full black combat armor and a grenade launcher. They were followed by a man and a woman. He was an average looking man in a finely tailored suit. She was young, pretty despite the black fatigues she was wearing, hazel eyes studying the dark field with ill-concealed suspicion. Alice was there to meet them. She was about to make a greeting, but the man spotted her first "Commander Kosa!" he declared, "As I live and breathe you look more beautiful each time I see you... and slightly shorter."
"Commander Zupan." Alice greeted him formally, offering a hand, which he shook, "It's been too long Shane. Though, as it turns out your visit may have been more timely than expected. Do you have the suit?"
"The metal one... I do."
"More timely than expected." the woman spoke up for the first time, "Might this be why your men are carrying grenade launchers? You are expecting company in powered armor."
"She's smart... is she...?"
"Lieutenant Zara Delic, Nightjar." Shane introduced her.
Alice extended her hand to the younger woman who shook it firmly, "It is an honor to meet you Commander."
"Just Alice." she corrected, "I'm not a huge fan of titles... and yes, you are right, but I will explain more when we get inside."
She led the way from the Helipad back into the manner, making sure Shane and Zara were settled and had drinks in their hands (brandy and water respectively), before she jumped right to the point, "Atlas is back."
Shane raised an eyebrow then nodded, "And you're worried what that might mean."
"He left this." Alice reached into her pocket, fumbling around until she found the feather, "This, though I have no idea what it means."
"A white feather... it's a challenge." Shane said immediately, "He's calling you a coward, wants to draw you out into the open where you are more vulnerable."
"I hate to be contrary." Zara put in. She spoke good English but it was still tinged with a South-slavic accent, "That is not what it is. You burn it and you summon the angel to your location." there was a pause as the other two looked at her. She shrugged uncomfortably, "Our organisation has always rated that one as one of our bigger threats. I made it my job to research him in case I ever had to face him. He is of Polish extract."
"Huh... a Slovak, a Croat, a Bosniak add a Pole and we could be playing Slavic happy families." Alice commented, "Do either of you have a lighter?"
There was a universal shaking of heads, "Okay, I'll do this the manual way." she began summoning up heat to unleash on the feather...
"Wait!" Zara blurted out, "Just don't burn it yet, give me two minutes."
She came back two minutes later with one of the Milkor grenade launchers and an armored vest. Alice raised an eyebrow and the other woman shrugged, "You can't be too careful."
"Alright then, let us find out what Atlas wants." without further ado, Alice unleashed a torrent of energy into the feather, dropping as it burst into flames. It was fully consumed a foot above the floor boards.

Hey Naun, sis. While you were gone, ol' Bloodlad and I managed to find a solution to my problem with Laurel, both him and me know a person that could lead us to her, namely, Alice Kosa. So we're going to pay a courtesy visit to our old friend and see what she knows, we'll be back in... About an hour or two, also, it'd be awesome if you could start making dinner.
Your loving brother

"HESH actually." an unknown woman said matter-of-factly. She had an Eastern European accent, though her English was good. She wore black fatigues, with a small circular image of Athena on the left shoulder, "Powered armor has so many little cogs and gears... it spalls quite spectacularly."
Another man next to her made an effort to clear his throat. He looked like the son of some kind of Russian oligarch, though he had the same logo in the form of a lapel pin, "As for..." he paused to cough, "Where it came from, that would be me."
"It's going to take days to get this out of the carpet." Alice commented, rolling her eyes in (possibly feigned) irritation. She was wearing a grey suit and had the exact same lapel pin as the gentleman who had just admitted to supplying a whole lot of men with grenade launchers, "Well I hope you're satisfied, I'm pretty sure I can't explain this to the insurance company..."
"So. Atlas. Back from the dead." she said, her tone switching to one of careful neutrality, "And you left me a calling card which Miss Delic told me I should burn. I assume you have business you want to discuss? Though if you have something to wear that will not destroy any more of my furniture you are welcome to stay for pierogi, business or not."
That comment earned a smirk from the oligarch's scion and a concerned frown from the woman with the grenade launcher, presumably 'Delic'. Alice, it seemed, had been busy for the last few years.

"Each of my associates grenades can deliver an explosive charge 29% greater than the one that took out Pan Am Flight 103. You should take it as a complement, they were designed with you in mind."
What he didn't mention was how catastrophically dangerous it would be to Delic if she fired one of those at Atlas from this close...
Alice raised an eyebrow at the mention of the MHR bill, "Were you aware of my meeting with Mr. Zupan regarding this bill?" she motioned to the Russian looking Australian, "As you may be aware I have opposed it, but it will almost certainly pass. We are making contingency plans for that eventuality."Serah wrote:

Heamet and Alrick were very much noticed, they were about the least discrete people on the planet and within moments the lawn had a dozen or so Aegis troopers armed with grenade launchers for some reason swarming across it, "Hold it right there!" someone yelled from behind a balaclava, "You are trespassing on private property!"
Inside, Delic frowned, lifting one hand from the launcher to press a button hidden behind her collar, "Understood. I have the Commanders here." she turned to the rest of the gathering, "The property has been breached at the rear lawn by two unidentified Meta-humans." she announced, glaring at Atlas.
Both of Alice's eyebrows shot up this time, "Friends of yours?" she asked, though unlike Delic she didn't sound like she'd already made her mind up.
"I think it is a appropriate moment for me to slip into something less comfortable." Zupan said with a slight smirk, bowing out of the room.

The drone operator zoomed in. Another technician stood nearby. "I don't understand, why are we going after her? She's high profile, and she's not a threat." Commander Hartman stood with them. "We must do what needs to be done to bring him in. People like him are a threat. And threats will be dealt with. We've been hunting him for years, and now we might have a lead. Prepare a Task Force for assault." The technician was quiet for a moment. "Yes...yes sir." It didn't feel right to him.
The drone left undetected, returning to the designated drop zone.

Tenere Maximum Security Prison. One of the most secure supervillain prisons in the entire Western United States. "Tenere'' literally is the Latin word for "Hold". The Allies had brought the Axis here 5 years ago, after their attack on the Allies' headquarters. They were each placed in cells that would dampen or contain their abilities. Thunder was placed in a cell bounded by magic, Livewire was placed in a cell that had high levels of humidity and Velocity was placed in a cell with high gravity. Each of them prevented them from using their powers and the others were stripped of their weapons and accessories and placed in ordinary cells.
A prison guard was doing a routine check of the cells when he was watching the monitors. He could see that Velocity's heart beat was really high. He didn't think nothing at first until it flatlined. The guard then ran to the cell, stopped the gravity and went to observe Velocity. He didn't seem to be breathing. The guard grabbed his keys and unlocked one of Velocity's cuffs. As soon as Velocity's hand was free, he grabbed the guards keys and punched the guard unconscious. He then freed himself before locking the guard up. "Man it's good to be free again." He then made his way over to the other cells and freed the Axis. "You are welcome. Now, how about we go get those Allies goons?" Thunder rubbed his hands from the cuffs. "No. Not so soon. But, I say we do something different." Thunder turned to the rest of the Axis and then looked at the cells. "How about....A breakout?" Thunder smiled and the Axis then freed the rest of the supervillains that were at the prison. Before they made their leave, Techno used his repulsors to burn a message into the wall of the prison. It said "CAN'T KEEP US CAGED FOR LONG".

I just came back from the meeting in Finland and my brother Heamet up there created a portal to here, my other brother Alrick, wanted to speak to Alice and as he suddenly got an impression that something was about to go down, he climbed up there. Although I'm sure they didn't mean to alert you, probably an error in the former portal placement." She spoke, loud and clear and holding her badge.
Heamet suddenly chimed in.
"I SAID IT WAS SOMETHING I'LL NEVER DO AGAIN AND THAT I WAS SORRY! Gods..."
"You're still a bloody idiot for having tried that and not slow down your fall earlier." Alrick still patronized his grandson.

"Run up to them and punch them in the face?" Alice suggested, "Or hit them with the Halberd? Otherwise there are P90s in the armory." In fact, someone had left a P90 on the sideboard... probably when they were upgrading to a grenade launcher.
"And I wasn't joking about the pierogi in the kitchen." she said as she moved to leave, "We can eat when this business is complete."

"Commander Lareylis." Zupan's voice sounded deeper and a little tinny from inside his powered armor.
His appearance seemed to put the Aegis troopers at ease, "Your presence is unexpected, though not unwelcome. It would be worth discussing whether a business case can be made to expand operations in Northern Europe."
"These two..." he motioned at Heamet and Alrick, "Are your brothers? And they wish to speak to Commander Kosa? What has happened?
