A bunch of tin can soldiers taking our attempts to save and rebuild the world as terrorism and considering us like war criminals won't get any mercy from me, the next time I see them, they'll get what's coming to them, just like Edge Lord before us. If they just come so close as trying to hurt any of you, I'll drop a couple dozen road rollers on them. Or maybe distort the dimension around them. Nah, Road roller. I want them to suffer. I won't kill them though, I'll keep them alive, no guarantee that I won't have some fun with them however." Alrick said, his tone growing darker at the mention of the Warhammer units.
"I know you won't. If you did, I wouldn't be there, unless you already have a descendant coming, which I highly doubt you have at the moment. But if you came so close to death, know that I won't control myself either. Former Aegis or not." Heamet spoke, his cheery tone growing slightly angrier but quickly going back to what it was.
"No one we care about will die on our watch, that's what Lios said a couple hundred years ago. It became famous in my day, actually we're considered as very high members of society. Nobles if you will, that's what Lios hoped to achieve. Get his family on a higher social sphere."
"I do remember saying that, and it still is true today. No one I care about will die on my watch. As one of the first Metas in history, they'll know what three hundred years of nonexistence can bring." Lios spoke, slowly and smirking.
"They'll see what messing with the Lareylis bloodline can bring."
"Cheech and Chong!" Alice called, "Get in the car... also try to remember who I am. Excessive cruelty is the weapon of the people we are supposed to be opposing. If you employ it, you are no more than them. We need people to respect Meta-humans if we don't want to be hunted.
There are far too many people abusing their powers, fueling the public's fear of us. If we want to survive, we need to sharpen up our act."
"Will you stop calling us that? At worst call us Al and Bloodlad but not Cheech and Chong, this sounds like an extremely bad sitcom."
The both of them said in unison with high levels of dismay, however Alrick frowned at her mention of extreme cruelty.
"Well, I won't argue on such a point with you since you won't change your mind, but I'm just warning and if needed, Lios will knock me out and take over. You know that incident with the nanites back in the Bunker? Yeah, he took over, I was about to go postal. But the thing is, the normies feel like THEY are the ones being hunted, they just think it's self defense that they attack us on sight because we've somehow hurt them in the past. In all technicality, we did, but those were other people. Heck Beowulf, that Nordic king, I'm absolutely sure he had something mystic going on. Same goes for Achilles."
Alrick put down his hypothesis about past history and tried to explain his sudden changes in mood as he never truly explained them.
