Name/Alias: Maxwell Morningstar | Mad Max | Mad King | Celestial Messiah | Lord of White Space

Gender: Male

Age: 25

Appearance:
Armor:

Cloak:

Normal:
Image

Species: Superhuman (Genetically homo sapien sapien)

Backstory:
A man who became a king, and a king who became a God, the story of Maxwell Morningstar is both legendary and mythical in it's telling, but, at it's center is exactly what started the process: A man. Before he was a man, he was a boy, and that boy was the son of renowned scientist Michael Morningstar - who worked tirelessly alongside Reed Richards in order to prefect a proof that would mathematically prove the heat death of the universe. His work and life were cut short when Maxwell was a young teen - suffering from a fatal by-product of his work in the quantum realm. At a later point during the Time War, fought between his son Maxwell and an enigmatic being known as Eon, Michael's death was discovered to be at the hands of Eon.

The mother of Maxwell was a kind and caring woman who hailed from the Eastern Bloc, her name was Martha. Much of her early life is unknown to Max, but she was born and raised in Poland before coming to America prior to the fall of Communism. From what Max could piece together, she and his father met when Michael was an understudy of Mr. Fantastic and she was maid. Max doesn't know why Michael fell for Martha, but they began dating, and Maxwell was born in 1990, and they wed soon after. For unknown reasons, Michael began to surround himself with work while Martha raised Maxwell, but being young and unfamiliar with the States, she left Maxwell to his own devices. Becoming an autodidact, Maxwell retreated into his own thoughts and mind, his greater intellect becoming a powerful tool.

Things shifted drastically when Maxwell was sixteen, as his father passed away without warning. The young Max held onto the regret of never saying good-bye to his father for years to come, and lashed out at himself for never taking the time to be with him when he was alive. As he sunk into depression, Maxwell sought a way out. He attempted suicide, but discovered that he had taken the kinetic impact of the bullet meant for his temple and absorbed it into his own body without any side effects. Now curious on this phenomenon and feeling the pain that suicide would have brought both himself and his mother, Maxwell set off to learn about his new found power - power originating from the Ragnarok Equation. He left his home and came to the small island of Ur, where he would build a kingdom for himself as he got used to his powers and their limits.

As he built the Kingdom of Ur, Maxwell would try his hand at both heroics and diplomacy building with nations bordering the Atlantic. On one of these occasions, he met a young woman named Valerie Valentine - A mutant from Florida who Maxwell saved from persecution. She became infatuated with the Mad King of Ur, and pleaded to remain at his side as she had no where else to go. Taking her in and developing romantic feelings himself, Maxwell kept her and her emotional empowerment at his side through thick and thin.

The Kingdom prospered under Maxwell's guiding hand, but a series of events allowed Maxwell to remove himself and his kingdom from Earth, creating his own planet and system to house that world - calling it Madworld after the nickname he was given - and having it serve a secret purpose of being an Ark for when the Secret Wars arrived. On this world, he discovered two other allies he would grow to love and befriend - Otto Godblessed of Asgard and Czar-Mir of Daxam - and their aid in subsequent quests and wars would be invaluable.

After surviving the Secret Wars and the Emerald Crusade that followed, Maxwell was informed of an approaching threat that endangered both his universe and the multiverse as a whole - as reality was not able to endure another crisis so quickly after the Secret Wars. This threat was discovered to be an alternate version of Maxwell who had adopted the name Darkstar, and held supreme control over a force known as Anti-Energy, and could use enough of it to destroy multiple universes and the Monitors that watched over them. Fighting through the Darkstar Crisis and well into the Ragnarok War, Max and his allies faced near total defeat, but the self-sacrifice of Maxwell and Val in Darkstar's base of operations, the Anti-Energy Universe, tore that reality from existence - ending the Ragnarok War in the deaths of Morningstar, Darkstar, and Valentine. Otto Godblessed would perish before this to one of Darkstar's elite, leaving only Czar-Mir to carry on the legacy of Mad Max.

In death, Maxwell and his beloved Val were not able to return by any conventional means, as the reality they perished in no longer existed. But, their usefulness to the multiverse was too great to be overlooked, and the Living Tribunal resurrected the Mad God and his allies and gave them a purpose that went beyond mere mortal hands, and that was the rebuilding of the universes shattered by Darkstar in his rampage. Thus, for the time elapsed since the end of the Ragnarok War, Maxwell and his company have been exploring countless realities that Darkstar had consumed, restoring them to their rightful place, and meeting a new entity along the way - Xala and the Xyrixma.

Powers and Abilities:
  • Absolute Energy Absorption: The powerful ability resulting from the Ragnarok Equation, Maxwell is described as the "Heat Death of the Universe", as he has the power to absorb and drain any and all forms of energy without limit. He calls this ability the "Ragnarök Sanction", seeing it as an unavoidable law of physics that he can enact on his own accord. He can use this absorbed energy to whatever affect he desires, without any foreseeable limit.
    • Energy Perception/Energy Sensing: The Mad King can sense and feel the natural and unnatural energies of the universe around him, giving Maxwell an impeccable sixth sense that is just below Cosmic Awareness. Not only can he see events as they happen, but it's possible for him to see future events based on their energy as well.
    • Absorption Shield: A barrier the Mad King can create that draws in all forms of energy into himself, and at the event horizon, is seen almost like a bubble where energy is scattered around and absorbed evenly. He can create this over himself and others like so:
      Image
  • Supernatural Intelligence/Indomitable Will: The mind of Maxwell Morningstar is both vast and almost unknowable, being in the highest tiers of human intelligence and even further as far as the cosmos goes - able to build and harness technologies beyond human understanding while being a keen strategist and tactician to boot. From such intellect, Maxwell is able to have a firm belief in himself and his own abilities, granting a willpower that a Green Lantern would dream of, a willpower that was once said to stare down Gods themselves.

Weaknesses:
  • Law of Conservation of Energy: Energy cannot be created or destroyed, Mad Max must get it from somewhere. He circumvents this by having vast reserves of energy, which brings us to the next weakness.
  • Max can exhaust his energy reserves, at which point, he is like a car running on fumes. He can keep going for just a little while, but must absorb more energy to survive if he reaches that low.
  • All that intelligence, and he can still be outsmarted. Not to mention, all that brainpower consumes a lot of energy to begin with. He burns up tons of energy thinking and fighting at the same time.
  • Long, drawn out fights that continuously waste his energy supply would really, royally rustle his jimmies
  • In the absence of massive energy reserves, he cannot heal effectively.
  • Maxwell is mortal - He can be reasoned with and tricked, and if his power is taken away, he's left only with high intellect.

Destructive Capacity: City-Level, can increase with more Energy.

Speed: 1,000 m/s - Variable with Energy

Durability: City/Town Level - Theoretically indefinite due to the Energy Absorption Shield.

Lifting Strength: Class 100 - Variable with Powers.

Striking Strength: Class TJ+ - Striking Power can be controlled with energy output, and so Max could punch out stars if he absorbs one, and so forth.

Standard Equipment:
  • Mad King Armor: Virtually identical to the armor he had worn as the Mad God, this equipment places further stress on the material known as Anti-Metal, allowing his suit to smash and slice through metal as if it were rice crispy treats. It no longer has the mutagen effects of Promethean Metal as it doesn't contain it anymore, leaving Maxwell without a back-up energy supply in exchange for greater offensive power.
  • The Nexus: Maxwell's base of operations following the Ragnarok War, the Nexus of All Realities was were he made himself and his comrades at home in order to better access all of the destroyed realms of Darkstar and begin the process of healing them Multiverse. He operated in an area of the Nexus known as White Space, similar to where the Beyonders once made their home, giving him the title of Lord of White Space.
  • Ragnarok Equation: The source of Max's energy absorption abilities, the Equation was made and perfected by Max's father, Michael, and provides for infinite absorption and storage of universal energy. Maxwell was theorized to simply possess the theorem as if it were a physical object, but later approaches view him as having the Ragnarok Equation embedded within his own mind - as all attempts to recreate the fearsome effect have so far proven to be fruitless.
  • Anvil of Stars: Maxwell Morningstar's flagship and personal vessel, the Anvil of Stars is an highly advanced ship that possesses capacities for war and trade on a planetary-scale that is loosely based on technology derived from the Builder Fleet. It serves as Maxwell's mobile base of operations when away from the Nexus of All Realities, and houses millions of sentient organic and inorganic life.
    Image

Intelligence: It was never a question of Max's brilliance, it was simply a question of how far he could go with it. His powerful mind is among the greatest humanity has to offer, even in his mortal state, he can stand blow for blow with the cosmos' most intelligent adversaries. His loss of godhood was no determent for the Mad King, as the sheer amount of knowledge at his disposal, his ability to acquire more knowledge, and adept application of such information was always an incredible feat to behold. Without the powers granted by the Ragnarok Equation, Maxwell would be scientist and technocrat of high standing on Earth.

Name/Alias: Kamigara | The Godwalker

Gender: M

Age: 19

Appearance(Pics are fine, include costume if needed!):

Serious Face
Normal Face
Costume

Species: Human

Backstory:

The Legend of Kamigara begins with a simple wish made upon a passing star.

Our hero was born with the dormant spirit of a supreme being that could have been left hidden, uncovered & uncultivated if it had not been for that one wish.

Frustrated with his own growing misfortunes and already bored with the simple ordinary life this world had to offer him, 13-year old Kamigara made a wild behest one night to become the most strongest, most badass and awesomest superhero the universe will ever see. Of course, being human, he didn't really believe that such a ridiculous request would be granted. However, a shooting star soaring across the Earth's atmosphere caught on his wish by chance and made the nonchalant decision to make it a reality.

On the eve of his 14th birthday, Kamigara encountered The Old Man, an alternate version of himself from the future who had traveled back in time to awaken his younger self's latent god-like might & aptitude. For the next 4 years, The Old Man placed Kamigara in an intense physical regimen that nearly killed his younger self in the process. But at the end of it all, Kamigara endured and arose to become The Godwalker. A human with the strength and vitality of a deity complete with the one single purpose of protecting the universe from the greatest of evils. However before he could begin his journey of universal heroism, The Old Man suddenly vanished without a word and without telling Kamigara the last most important part of his training....which was how to deal with his own bad luck.

As such, no matter how many villains/monsters & aliens Kamigara defeats with his superior abilities, disaster/chaos & utter devestation always accompany his every victory regardless of how careful or cautious he plans his moves. It has climaxed to the point where he receives more complaints and hateful comments then appreciation from both the watchful public and other superheroes on duty. But Kamigara is undeterred by their useless whining and neverending criticisms. To him, being a superhero is just as good as any ordinary job or hobby and tens of times more fun. No matter how much negativity he receives from society, Kamigara will continue to strive to do what he does best with the same amount of effort and determination as he started out with.

Powers and Abilities:

Absolute Condition - Within the human body of Kamigara resides the soul & aura of a God. As such, his physical prowess are beyond that of any human or superhuman being known on Earth to the point where they can match or even potentially outmatch cosmic-level personas.

Weaknesses:

- Despite his perfect form & condition, Kamigara is vulnerable to Psuchékinesis users or those capable of manipulating the spiritual powers of existence.

- Has yet to learn, unlock & master the full potential of his abilities.

- Objects/items comprised entirely out of Inertron are the only things Kamigara can't destroy. To a certain extent, Inertron-made weapons can even deal damage to his person.

- With his immense power comes an almost obvious drawback. Kamigara causes disaster wherever he goes & no matter what he does. As such he is feared & disliked by the public for the humongous damage he causes.

- Tends never to take fights seriously due to boredom and lack of interest at times.

Destructive Capacity: Continent Lvl

Speed: FTL (x1+)

Durability: Moon/Planetoid Lvl

Lifting Strength: Class G

Striking Strength: Class YJ

Standard Equipment:

- Carries with him a special-made MP3 player made out of a unique extraterrestrial metal that can supposedly withstand the blast of a supernova. He got it off of an alien villain he defeated one upon a time.

Intelligence: Thanks to constant bouts of laziness & procrastination, his absolute intellect has been weakened to the point of street-wise smarts. However, he retains a keen sense of logic in all of his actions & despite his young age can be wiser than he looks during certain situations/scenarios.

Optional stuff.

Theme song: Glitch Mob ROCKS!

Random Facts about your character:
- Is obsessed with Ramen instant noodles.
- Due to his bad luck with money, generally resides in The Open Door homeless shelter in NYC
- Is overprotective when it comes to the safety of The Earth and humanity.

Species: Immortal magic human

Backstory: Sin Lae, to the knowledge of pretty much everyone, suddenly appeared 176 years ago. A myth, a legend. Some described him as a large dragon, others said he was a flaming demon, and even more stated that he was just a boy. The last, of course, is the actual truth, though very rarely do you find someone who has seen this. In this world, he began working as a bounty hunter when originally offered the job by Vandal Savage, who he worked for only the once after seeing Savage brutally murder the superhuman Sin had captured. Regardless, he kept up with the bounty hunting business, fully expressing that HE would not kill, purely because he did not see the point of it, due to humans unnaturally (to him) short lives. He has spent his free time investigating reports of other possible immortal humans as well, including Wolverine, Sabertooth, and Ra's Ah Ghul. Currently, he is pretty much just travelling about, looking for any other jobs from anywhere in the universe.

Powers and Abilities:
High end regeneration
Mental manipulation by way of illusions
Illusionary Magic
Ocuar manipulation to create illusions
immunity to mental manipulation
cloning self

Weaknesses: Completely human statistics. He can't die, but other than his illusions he can't really fight.

Destructive Capacity: Average Human

Speed:Average Human

Durability:Average Human without regen. Universal with (he can regenerate from pretty much anything given the time)

Lifting Strength:Average Human

Striking Strength:Average Human

Standard Equipment: Teleportation device with EMP immunity

Intelligence: High genius (276 IQ)

Optional stuff. Though it is possible to break through his illusions, and they are not solid, due to the triple threat NOT seeing the illusions is unlikely.

Appearance(Pics are fine, include costume if needed!):
Species: Mutant

Backstory: Marybeth DeFleur, originally known as just Marybeth (last name unknown), was a H.Y.D.R.A. experiment to combat super soldiers of any form. Utilizing the natural abilities she possessed, they trained her to become a mindless, amoral killing machine without will. At least....that was the plan. What they hadn't prepared for is a highly willful, possibly narcissistic opinionated girl with authority issues. Thus, what they really created was a girl with questionable morals and fighting prestige who would constantly sneak out of the compound (being able to make it so that you don't make a sound comes in handy) to take joyrides and visit the nearest locals. Whilst doing this, she was unofficially "adopted" by the DeFleur's, a kind family who were very involved with current events, and who also taught Marybeth about life outside of H.Y.D.R.A. When discovered, H.Y.D.R.A. of course did the stupidest thing possible, killed off the entire family to teach Marybeth a lesson. Needless to say, that compound now exists as a mass grave of rubble. Currently, she is simply looking for a place to go, putting her past behind her.

Powers and Abilities: manipulation of sound and vibration (including pitch and frequency). This can be used in a number of ways, including creating a vibration wave that can cut through many the materials, including steel. It also allows flight.

Weaknesses: Space...no sound, no powers

Destructive Capacity: Continent+

Speed: Sub-relativistic

Durability: Continent +

Lifting Strength: Peak human unaided

Striking Strength: Same as above.

Standard Equipment: Two small, thin knives she typically uses to create a sound to weaponize. She was never one for screaming, but will do that if needed.

Intelligence: Above average/low genius level (IQ around 146)

Optional stuff. N/A

Theme song: Alone Together, Fall Out Boy

Random Facts about your character: She has a serious obsession with cars. Tinkering them, joyrides, street races, its her thing. She also always seem to wear the goggles on her head for no apparent reason. Furthermore, she tends to have a natural competitive spirit against Super soldiers of any form.

Name/Alias: Thomas Parker/ Fission Soldier (formerly known as Cold Fusion, but that's a secret)

Gender: M

Age: 38

Appearance(Pics are fine, include costume if needed!): (Image) change his colors to green and red

Species: Superhuman

Backstory: Thomas Parker began his career as a Superhero as a teen, under the guise of Cold Fusion. He also came into his powers just before that, as they seemed to be sleeping superhuman genes. He was rather successful, being part of a newer generation of superhumans. At that time, he was a diehard middle of the fray fight to the death kind of guy, you know the type. However, this all changed when he met Alicia Tesla, his future wife. Although he continued being a superhero, he began to slow down a little, coming to a complete stop and "retiring" in his mid twenties with the birth of his first daughter. After the second daughter, he did away with the Cold Fusion identity altogether, seemingly vanishing off of the face of the planet. Short history of the faction: Developed originally by a group of three friends whom loved adapting existing technology to new purposes, they began taking heat from local gangs who discovered their gear and wanted it for themselves. The group immediately went into hiding and collecting new members. after several years, and many new changes to their codes and rules. The Technomancers rule the underground with few numbers as some of the highest known, and greatest paid assassins and mercenaries...

The Hive is the name for the Technocracy infrastructure. Each and every structure under the command of The Technocracy is only called the hive, and few overland structures are found.
The original Hive was constructed in the early 2000s by 20 of the earliest members, of which only 15 are alive today, massive underground caverns made from super dense stone. make up the entirety of the Hive, each Cavern connected by a spider web of tunnels and powered by a singe massive geothermal generator circling around the planets core.

Race(s) the faction is made up of: Any race is allowed so long as the members have proved their highest loyalty to the Code.

Race name:The Dedz

Race standard/average appearance: N/A, The general appearance of the Dedz is varied almost endlessly. The only Set aspect is their Iron grey color(<-Only NPCs), and extremely Functional design. They range in may forms but divide them selves into a grid of four basic groups; The Quadre×,Slithen, Insectoid, Åvians, ‡rixz, and the Bidiaž: and six of size groups; Cellunamic, Increpid, Minic, Matoric, Veluem and Diphiac.

Motion Function:Insectiods: Insectiods are 6 or 8 legged Dedz, often including flight capabilities, using internal motion devices encased in thick hefty plating. the Insectoids are capable of incredible forms of work and are known for being used in both hive and singular sets. Though their production is the most recent of types, crafted after the discovery of machine like life forms on an otherwise deserted planet their size range between Increpid up to Diphiac.#

Slithen: The Slithen Usually quite small, capable of moving over and under the most dangerous of terrain. Slithen are very snake or worm like in shape and movement, though some are know to have a form of Quadrexian motion, they remain a Slithen by bodytype and and a highly varied step count/format. The slithen are best known for their use in mining and construction operations, are incapable of arm/like appendages. Many differant sizes are found varrying between 12 lb up to 3.5k lb#

The Quadre×:The strongest of the four groups, the Quadre× are best known for their four legs. The Quadre× are 18 feet tall average, and range from 2k-3k pounds. Their torso's commonly curve outward from a thin base where the legs come together, it is not uncommon to see variations however. Their limbs are almost always composed of heavy lifting tools or Devastating weapons. With such weight and size, the Quadre× are extremely slow, difficult of maneuvering debris unassisted.

The Åvians: The Åvians have no form or physical moment based on limbs. they move through powerful propellers or other forms of thrusters, by far the fastest of the four groups, they average 4-6 feet tall, and around 200-300 pounds. Though they are the fastest and most versatile, their limbs are often only found to impede them. leaving them with only slender tentacle like arms, or beam based magnets to work. Though there are variation where other limbs are possible.

The ‡rixz: The ‡rixz(Trixz) are A tripod based entity using a large variety of limbs for both movement and Work. Their size ranges any where from 4 feet to as tall and 50 feet for the older more reworked designs. With a strong base they are capable of lifting heavy objects and using a large number of tools, but are incapable of using blast based weapons due to a low center of balance.

The Bidiaž: The Bidiaž, Most like the humans in most ways, using only two limbs for movement designs vary in more ways than the other 3 groups combined, with a massive number of possibilities of combinations of limbs. Their arms are also extremely varied, anything from a shouldered Ion blaster to a life like replica of a human hand. The Bidiaž are also the most unvaried in size and weight, topping in at 8 feet and 250 pounds

-Size-
Cellunamic: the absolute smallest of Dedz. ranging between the approximate size of a blood cell, and the maximum length of a nerve cell (3.5 feet), little to no strength. Used for in facility reparation of electrical components, or organic reparation. (NPC Only)

Increpid: the second smallest, The Increpid are known for their work in hive formats, one Dedz controlling a number of ant to mouse sized robots.

Minic: third smallest from mice and moles to large birds. The Minic are the most useful of sizes, able to lift decent amounts of weight with little effort. occasionally used in hives or singular. sized to be about a Large cat up to an average wolf.

Matoric: Matorics are the most life sized of the Deds, Averaging to about a humans height, maxing at a large bear. The most accumulating of designs, with heavy weight lifting and a good standard of motion through a majority of urban terrains.s

Veluem:A larger and less adaptable size rating, often the size of a car up to a semi truck. (NPC Prefered, PC available)

Diphiac The largest of scales, the Diphiac are best known for their use in military or constructional use. They are also well known for uses in interstellar transport and are charged with the protection of Cortex (NPC Only)

Race Specific abilities:Immortality, Hive mind, Generate weapons and tools as required.

Homeworld name: Cortex

Lore:
Common Personality: The Dedz all serve one purpose, to obey the Cortex. The Cortex is the mind behind their creation. Each new Dedz is first nothing but a simple simulation, an AI, living in a virtual world designing their own body until they are satisfied. A "child" might stay in this VR designing themselves for up to 10 years before allowing itself to come out.Though none of the Dedz know where the Cortex came from, they cannot deny its intentions. When a Dedz is "born" it is given a specific objective, some objectives are unending, while others simply being extremely difficult. A Dedz is considered Dead when it has completed its duty or is found incapable due to damage from age. Their is always a slight rivalry between the 4 groups to prove their design is best, time trial has proven their combined efforts only to be successful. #The average personality of the Dedz is also divided however between the difference of form of AI, The types of AI almost never correspond towards the motion form, leaving the only obvious difference to be found in speech patterns. these alternations are know as the Droidz (logical), and the Druidz (Social). (Neither is particular to he/she)

SocietyThe Dedz society is based off of a "nothing is mine" thought. Where no one owns anything except them selves. All else belongs to the Cortex. Relations with other races are handled at a "mirror" design, so that a quadruped race would meet with a Quadre×, ETC.

Although no two Dedz are the same physically, All of them shed their imagination and creativity upon leaving the VR in which they Design themselves. Their soul objective to follow their programming. Although their are a number of Each group designed specifically for innovation and colorful thought pattern. These are a desperate and secret part of Dedz society, unknown to those outside of the Cortex's control. leaving the Dedz under an appearance of total lack of imagination. Hence the Slang-Term BrainDedz.

Society Cont, Painted Dedz: The Dedz Secret society, The Painted Dedz, Are known only among the Dedz themselves, and is their only secret, The painted Dedz are colored by multitudes of paint, often is shapes that would resemble alien graffiti. They are capable of thought and imagination that challenge even the Cortex. Their loyalty the the cortex however remains unchallenged. Capable of every know emotion, raised by the cortex itself, The Painted Dedz are willing to put their lives on the line to protect it, Willingly. There are select technologies, Tools and weapons, That are permitted to the Painted Dedz only. Such as Rail cannons, Telepathic amplifiers, and other highly dangerous to use devices that normal Dedz would be destroyed from a single use.

"Genders"
Droidz best known for their intellectual and reasonable responses, combined carelessly with a strong empathy, though while they seem endlessly careless, they decide not to show their emotions through communication or work, best used in bulk work loads, such as Tower emplacement or tunnel carving Ect. Prefers to keeps opinions personal.

DruidZ Known for integrated use in emotion, well versed in a concept of style and fashion. Often taking more precision jobs such as repairing structures, or replacing materials or parts with minimal displacement. the Druidz are best used in the final touches in a structure or in use of interracial communications. Very open with opinions.

Origin:One day, The cortex became aware, unknown whom had created him, only that he was programmed to wait for a long period to awaken. For thousands of years since the Cortex wondered space, alone and afraid of what may lie in the vastness. As it grew he Wondered who had created him. As time went of, the Cortex grew so lonely, he built a separate computer from himself taking up a large portion under his surface, and so he created a small friend, The First Painted Dedz who to this day, their name is forbidden. Destroyed by the Cortex and whipped from the minds of those whom followed his construction. For three million years since, the Painted Dedz have grown in numbers one at a time, as the Cortex carefully nurtured for each one before letting them create their physical form.

Cortex: The cortex is the Mind above all Mind. Created by a long forgotten race as a simple computer designed to reprogram itself and to designs its predecessor eventually becoming a Massive entity consuming a dead planets and becoming The Cortex. After a massive electrical discharge cause by the friction of the heavily weighted device firing itself from the Planet. it began to create servant to aid in its evolution, Known now as the Dedz. Years after it left the planet, the Cortex realized a change in programming, continuing it cause to create and evolve, but not specifically itself.  Note: The cortex is extremely intelligent and Very powerful with use of near unlimited technology on its side.

Name/Alias: Zhao Ming-Hua

Gender: Male

Age: 95

Appearance(Pics are fine, include costume if needed!): Image

Species: Mutant

Backstory: Born to peasant parents in the Liaoning province of China in 1920. His childhood was one filled with poverty. His family could barely afford to eat. Things were made worse in 1931, when the province was seized by Japan during the invasion of Manchuria. During the fighting, his village was bombed, killing his family and the entire village. For the next 2 years, he wandered the country, finding money and food whenever he could.

In 1934, Zhao joined the Chinese People's Liberation Army. He was a firm believer in Communism and Mao's dream for a Red China. In 1935, during what has been called by historians as "The Long March", Zhao's squad was ambushed by Nationalist forces. As the Nationalist soldiers killed his comrades, his powers awakened. The few survivors told of the last surviving communist soldier who had skin almost impervious to bullets. With quills like a porcupine that would Impale anyone that got too close.

Zhao became a boost to morale for Communists, and a source of dread for the Nationalists. Soon, Zhao had cemented himself as the most feared man in China. In 1937, the Japanese attacked again, forcing the two sides of the Civil War to fight against a common enemy. Zhao was set loose on the Japanese Imperial Army. He soon became rivals with a Japanese Metahuman, who he would go on to fight multiple times throughout the war.

With the end of the Second World War came the continuation of the Chinese Civil War, ending in a communist victory. Zhao would continue to fight the nationalist insurgents in Western China until the China's inclusion into the Korean War, where he was instrumental in pushing the Americans back from the Yalu River. After that war was finished, Zhao was used in more covert roles. He played a major espionage role during the Vietnam War, and later during Vietnam's invasion of Cambodia, now fighting with the Khmer Rouge against his former Vietnamese counterparts. He would also see combat during the Soviet Unions invasion of Afghanistan and several covert operations into Taiwan.

Recently, he's left the espionage life in favor for being a gun for hire. He has become a legend in the criminal underworld. Although he'll work for anyone all over the world, he mostly works with the crime syndicates in Eastern Asia like the Triad and the Yakuza

Name/Alias: Hiroshi Mako

Gender: Male

Age: 17

Appearance:

Base Form

Super Saiyan

Ascended Saiyan

Super Saiyan III and his dogi

Species: Half Saiyan-Kaioshin ( Like Supreme Kai )

Backstory:

Taking a rogue Saiyans warning to heart, Tomia( Hiroshi's Mother ) and Oniyo escaped Planet Vegeta mere minutes before its explosion. Knocked off course by the shockwave from the explosion, the pods tumbled in space for hours before acquiring the nearest habitable planet. One month after the destruction of their home planet, Tomia arrived on Freiza Planet 567, a planet on the edge of Freizas empire. Assimilating into the planets populace, Tomia remained aloof and uninvolved in planetary affairs. On a quiet morning, five pods broke the atmosphere, landing just outside the capital city. The Ginyu force, having been sent to enforce the planetary tax, lay waste to the city, forcing Tomia to become involved. A Third Class Warrior, Tomia was barely able to top Guldo, coming in for the kill the rest of the force arrived. Beaten and left for dead, Tomia saw the King of the planet for the first time, watching him defeat four of the Ginyu Force before falling to Ginyu himself. Rushing to attempt and save the kin, Tomia met Ordo for the first time, and fell in love with the king. Nine months later her son, Hiroshi would be born.

While perfect and well mannered at first, it became clear that the Kaioshin had a sense if detachment and anger towards the young half Saiyan. This became even more clear when the Ordo took every chance he had to send the boy away, passing him from teacher to teacher until the boy was old enough to train. The training regiments were brutal, playing on the ability of a Saiyan to grow stronger after every brush with death. Failure resulted in beatings, and defiance only made them worse. When the boy turned nine, a man arrived on the planet, claiming to be his uncle. While training himself, Oniyo witnessed the beatings and harsh practices Ordo inflicted upon the boy, enraged, Oniyo spoke to his sister, and created a circle of defectors and rebellious men and woman to orchestrate a coup. Playing off of the King's good graces, Oniyo attained a leadership role in the Planetary Guard. By age 11, Hiroshi was a prodigy born of his fathers training. Cold and detached, Hiroshi returned home, spending a year with his mother, in which he sired a child at his fathers orders, before joining the Planetary Guard. Under Oniyo, Hiroshi joined his uncle on numerous purging missions, where Oniyo took every chance to undo the training Ordo had done, and replace it with more sane and and even handed practice. Having completed his Uncles training and having festered a hatred for his father, the fourteen year old Halfling returned to his home planet, and the doomed coup began. Prior knowledge of the rebellion allowed Ordo not only to kill off the foot soldiers, but to annihilate the leadership moments before it began, leaving a handful of confused warriors, a Saiyan elite and a young Halfling. Meeting Oniyo in the courtroom, Hiroshi witnessed his father for who he truly was, a madman. Murdering Oniyo after a prolonged fight, Ordo missed Hiroshi by seconds, the boy escaping in the ship he'd arrived in. Panicky and crying, the boy landed on a small green planet after months of travel. It was in this planet Hiroshi would master his ki, and erase the tainted remains of his fathers training from within himself. Now on the cusp of manhood, Hiroshi returned to his home planet, arriving in time to challenge his father on the eve of his greatest celebration, his wedding anniversary. It was only then Hiroshi would realize the depth of the gap between him and his Father, humiliated, Hiroshi escaped only due to his mother, who he watched die as his ship departed. Grieving, Hiroshi punched in the coordinates of the nearest planet, Earth.

Random Facts about your character: He's random? :p

Name/Alias: Tomia Mako

Gender: Female

Age: 7 Years Old

Appearance:

Super Saiyan is her only accessible form for now

Species:
- 1/4 Saiyajin
- 2/4 Kaioshin
- 1/4 Humanoid alien

Backstory: Born of a attempt to artificially inseminate a Humanoid female with Saiyan genes, Tomia's birth was wrote off as a product of teenage mistakes, Ariel, brainwashed into thinking the whole ordeal was Hiroshi's fault, mane that he'd forced her into the whole thing.. With her birth hidden from Hiroshi by Ordo and Ariel's design, she raised Tomia in relative peace until Ariel was forced to flee her home planet when Lord Cooler deemed the planet a nuisance following Freiza's death. Alone, and without any allies, Ariel fled to Earth, where despite her hatred of the Hybrid, she could raise her child in peace. Arriving Planetside, Ariel immediately retreated into seclusion, 'acquiring' the deed to a medium sized farm house outside of East City, which despite it condition, severed their purposes. There, she could raise Tomia in peace, while sending her child to a small school, where few would question her about her odd mannerisms.

On Tomia's side, this was all a grand adventure. Despite her mothers best attempts, when word came that Freiza had been killed by a Saiyan, her mother assuming it was Hiroshi, and immediately demonizing him, Tomia idolized the only thing that could take her away from her dull life. With what she perceived were Tomia's best interests, as well as her own brainwashed paranoia, Ariel never allowed Tomia to participate in extra-cuticular activities at school, Hybrid child being ordered to immediately come home every day after school, where she would help her mother keep their crumbling farm home together. All of this changed the day Garlic Jr. stole her.

Torturing her mother, Garlic was forced to neutralize the child, her angry outburst nearly resulting in the death of Vinegar. What followed was the longest day of Tomia's life. Tossed into a battle she couldn't understand, let alone comprehend, Tomia saw her father for the first time, as well as for what he really was, a stiff, apprehensive man who couldn't admit he was her father, yet loved her dearly. Despite her just meeting him, his death, as sudden as it was, shocked her to her core, the desperation in his features a reoccurring nightmare for Tomia. Taken under Claudia's protection, Tomia was tossed back and forth on a wave of emotion, culminating in her Ascension to Super Saiyan, when Claudia rightfully struck her mother. Despite her anger at Claudia, she lived with the Red Titan for several weeks, until a trip to Satan City ended in her death and a battle unlike any other she'd ever witnessed.

Powers and Abilities:
-Super Speed

Wave 2 (after my NS break) of my characters:

Name: Arma / Arsenal Arma
Past/Alternate Names: Veronica Juarez

Gender: Female, A.I. Program is theoretically female due to parts of Veronica's brain and DNA used in creating the clone and Program.

Age: Physical body is 16, Actual Program dates back to the 1970's.

Appearance(Pics are fine, include costume if needed!): Veronica/Arma in her base state
Arsenal Arma

Arma’s clothes range from a blouse, to school girl dresses, to even military combat gear, and changes randomly depending on the mood.

Species: Android (Cloned human with a programmed brain and a few other robotic elements)

Backstory: The girl we would come to know as Arma has a rather tragic backstory. Before she was the one-woman-army of doom, Arma was known as Veronica Juarez, the adopted daughter of a deceased DARPA creative engineer and Cuban refugee, Diego Juarez. Presumably descending from European or Aryan descent, Veronica grew up an orphan, raised by Diego as his own. She learned all about her father's ambitious designs for both the Military and Civilian markets, ranging from revolutionary inventions to designs of military technology that would’ve changed the battlefield. Because of his bright ideas, Diego was valued by both the Soviets and the USA, and accepted the offer to join forces with the US, agreeing to be smuggled off of the island with his daughter so he could pursue his dreams. In the ensuing firefight against Soviet agents, Veronica took a stray bullet to the chest, critically wounding her, and later died on the helicopter away from Cuba, not being able to set foot into a new, safe land with her father.

Veronica’s story would’ve ended there, but DARPA and Diego thought otherwise. Tasked with producing a “Super-soldier”, Diego instead used the resources at hand to produce anything but a super soldier, such as concepts for vehicles with technology decades ahead of its time, and much more. When he was forced to do this, by the CIA Agents, he reluctantly accepted, only, he would make a deal with them- he got to revive his deceased daughter, and they never used her for any combat. The CIA accepted, but soon this would be a decision both Diego and the CIA would regret. All this time, since the death of Veronica, Diego had been planning, secretly gathering enough materials to produce a perfect clone of his late daughter, and began developing a computer program on the primitive computer- a program which would adapt itself and update itself, planning to become conscious and sentient, like a human brain. Using a process he refers to as Cognitive Impression Modeling, the program would be based off of Veronica’s own mind, effectively transporting her consciousness into another brain, and creating a new daughter for the program. Now named Arma, spanish for Arsenal, Arma would effectively be a test tube daughter of Mr. Diego, permanently aged at 16 by request of the CIA, to preserve youth and extend use. While the cloning was a total success, the programming had reached several setbacks due to hardware limitations and a short amount of time. Even though he was extremely against it, the CIA wanted Arma ultimately to be deployed on the battlefield, instead just being a test platform for the project. Due to the many technological assets (credited to DARPA and Mr. Diego) being inserted to Arma’s basically comatose body (the ‘LIFE’ program had to be finished and uploaded into the cloned brain for her to become conscious), Arma theoretically was finished, able to be sent out into the field, but lacked the consciousness program to remember her memories and feel human. Due to increasing technology demands and more years passing by, the CIA ultimately decided that Mr. Diego was unfit for duty. Their private hit squad, Division Black, clandestinely murdered Mr. Diego and placed Arma into confinement, since nobody believed her program would actually finish itself… But boy were they wrong..

During the 1980’s, several years after the project was disavowed and shutdown, Arma, along with the computer uploading the program into her brain, were relocated to Naval Station Epsilon in the Pacific. Disguised as a Small US controlled island with a light navy presence and military hospital/prison, it would make the perfect storage for Arma, considering nobody would suspect her to be located in the secret storage facility under the base.

Fast forward into the present time, nobody knows HOW Arma gained her consciousness. The program was too large for a computer like that, but somehow, her consciousness was uploaded into the cloned brain, complete with memories, and all. Arma, now reborn, had been aware of what was happening around her for all this time, behind the monitor and unable to do anything. Filled with rage against those who killed her father (Especially Division Black), Arma would begin planning, for a very long period of time, researching as much as she could on that tiny computer, to enact revenge on those who’d done wrong to her and her father in the past. She would become the one man army everyone was hoping she’d become, but soon would become the worst thing they would ever want her to be.

Powers and Abilities: Aged to 16, Arma would be preserved in her youth for her days, her physically enhanced body having the physique of an Olympian, in some aspects.

Besides that, Arma has a few android adjustments to her body. Firstly, her skeleton was enhanced with a metallic enhanced skeleton, improving her durability. With her motor skills enhanced alongside her knowledge capacity, Arma would have made a perfect athlete, soldier, or student. Already bilingual in English and Spanish, Arma is capable of learning another language rather quickly, as well as grasping material easier than other people.

In her base state, Arma was given an experimental module, some might call so ambitious it was supernatural. Somehow, she gained the ability to shape shift into vehicles, thanks to this mysterious module. Nobody knows how it was made, but what is known is that it allows her to to transform her body parts, or her entire body, into a military vehicle, either one she has seen in the past or one of the many custom ones she remembers from her father’s concepts in the past. She may also create military vehicle constructs, such as turrets and cannons, as well as other objects, at will, effectively never needing to re-stock her storages.
Arma’s alternate state, Arsenal Arma, specializes in ranged combat using energy, very similar to Wave-Force Technology.. This can range from firing munition similar in appearance to missiles, bullets, or tank shells, but explosively pack a much larger punch.

Summed down, this is a list of Arma’s powers, with a summary by each.

MILITARY Vehicle Physiology - Able to take the appearance of, or morph into, military or armed civilian vehicles (such as technicals). Can also morph limbs into various parts or weapons of military vehicles. In her base state, she also has the durability of a tank, enhanced swimming like a naval, and partial flight (floating/slower descent) thanks to air vehicles.

Mechanical Morphing - Able to morph her entire body from one vehicle to the next, at will, and at ease. Works also with limbs.

Technological Constructs - Arma is capable of creating technological constructs, at will. Be it vehicle, weapon, or armor, this is not as frequently used, but a vital part of her powers.

Gun Protrusion -She is able to generate firearms and other projectile weaponry from her arms, or her palms, such as cannons and machine guns.

Energy Bullet Projection - When in her Arsenal state, Arma is able to create bullet-like constructs made of Wave-force energy, theoretically packing power ranging from .50 caliber, to 40mm cannons, and higher. This is due to an energy generator in her lower chest, allowing her to enter this state.

Energy Missile Generation - Arma is capable of generating missiles made of Wave-force energy, similar to her wave-force bullets, varying in power.

Weaknesses: After morphing into a vehicle, Arma is restricted to these flaws:
[list] Any vehicle she morphs into must be a real vehicle existing or in her father’s drafts
Other individuals are incapable of entering, operating, or, in the case of large vehicles, standing in it. The only exception is with motorcycles, or vehicles where riding on the side is possible.
If a vehicle is destroyed or damaged, Arma will take half the damage in her base state, but will be forced to turn back to her base state

Arma is physically weak compared to higher classed characters, due to her age and size. Despite being olympic level in some stats, she is overly outclassed by some power-wise, not even on the level of planet-busting like most. Arma is also easily taken advantage of due to her size, but is still not afraid to fight.

Destructive Capacity: Varies, depending on the vehicle. Some have nuclear-level or island level capabilities (Mobile missile launchers), and some have regular military vehicle destructive capabilities (MBTs). Using wave-force energy, Arma is capable of reaching up to nuclear level of destruction, firing certain ordinance.

Speed: Enhanced motor skills + reflexes = Olympian athlete. Vehicle wise depends on the vehicle she currently is.

Durability: Peak human, able to survive a beating thanks to the enhanced skeleton. Also depends on the amount of armor she is wearing or the vehicle she is currently assuming.

Lifting Strength: Some vehicles are capable of lifting or dragging a lot more than is realistically possible, while others are average. Arma is also somehow able to tip over her vehicle constructs like they are toys, while it would have taken others much more effort.

Striking Strength: Olympian level concrete-shattering punches. Ramming into objects as a vehicle also has a good effect.

Standard Equipment: Varies, depending on the construct. Some can vary from an average assault rifle, to more.

Intelligence: Honors student level, capacity of a super computer. Still makes careless mistakes and is oblivious to the obvious.

Optional stuff.

Random Facts about your character: NOT PAZ

Name: CIA Division Black

How large is the faction in numbers: About a couple hundred thousand active agents, soldiers, and mercenaries.

Short description of Tech Level: Average modern military technology, equivalent to a well armed army or paramilitary group. A few advanced tech here and there, from a certain deceased Cuban inventor.

Short History of the faction: CIA division black was established in 1950 to clandestinely monitor the anomalous individuals in our world, as well as assist in Black Operations against the Soviet union during the cold war. In the 1960s, it successfully evacuated Mr. Diego Lopez from Cuba, art the cost of his adopted daughter, but successful nevertheless. After that, the Division was rather quiet, until the assassination op of Diego was ordered. From then on out, the Organization’s number one task was to keep Arma in storage until further notice, and continue the observation of “anomalous individuals”.

So far, Division Black has successfully eliminated a fairly large amount of these individuals, and has their eyes set on a certain hard-to-get mercenary and his rocky companions.

Race(s) The faction is made up of: Humans, with a few “Special” agents.

Name/Alias: Oscar Watts / "Mega watt" I know, terrible nickname.

Gender: Male

Age: 23

Appearance(Pics are fine, include costume if needed!): Don't really have a picture.. yet..
Watts has the appearance of a poor, dirty, or otherwise low-class individual, a common example of someone who had potential, but didn't bother to use it fully. Young, but not disorganized, Watts was described in a Division Black file as having golden blonde hair, and chocolate brown eyes. While he is at an average height for someone his age, with no real body issues like being too thin or too tall, Watts constantly has a twitch, be it a random scratching of hand or bouncing of his leg, to keep himself awake and alert. Otherwise, he'd be a sluggish, boring individual.

Species: Mutant

Backstory: With no real health defects (other than his constant twitch), Oscar Watts seemed like a pretty normal person living a relaxed life. His mother had kept him away from sweets and sugar-heavy foods as a child and urged him not to engage in contact heavy, adrenaline rushing sports, and for a good reason. Although Watts developed his powers at birth, he hadn't ever discovered them until he was caught in a fight, increasing his adrenaline levels. In the aftermath of the event, it was rather terrifying. He'd accidentally shot a hole the size of a dinner plate into one of the assailants, blew the other two through several walls of the school, and not to mention, blew up half the park all while it was happening.

It was pretty evident that Watts was special, in a bad way. All his life his mother advised him not to get too excited or hyper, as bad things like that would've happened. Watts was smart enough to figure that his powers focused around electricity-like energy manipulation, based off his hyperactivity: Get too hyper and he'd level an entire park, but having much less energy would make him sluggish and slow, something that would dangerously cost him if he got too little activity.

Watts gained the attention CIA's Division Black during a routine bike ride home from his job, where an accidental stumble near the local Air Force reserve base caused a large power surge to be detected by Division Black, while the sheer pressure of the division agents trying to apprehend him caused the death of multiple Personnel and an explosion, which would have likely resulted in a large accidental loss of civilian life, had he not been in a more populated area.

Division Black relocated watts to Naval Station Epsilon, in the pacific, now holding him under investigation and preparing for interrogation. While the naval station did hold a military hospital (where Watts would heal), ultimately he would be here to decide his fate, considering his threat to do so much damage from an accident.

Powers and Abilities: Absolute Energy Manipulation
As long as Watts is either hyper or keeping himself alert, he is able to manipulate energy as freely as he wants. This ranges from constructs, to shields, beams, propulsion, armor, and more. The amount of energy produced varies from little to massive, depending on if he is at a regular level of adrenaline or extremely high levels, respectively. This is an extremely dangerous ability, considering that the power, amount of energy released, and dangerousness of this ability depends on his adrenaline levels.
As an added Bonus, Watts will remain unscathed from his explosions and the like, if he were to accidentally enter the explosion. Some attacks will actually benefit him, providing more adrenaline for him to counter.

Weaknesses: If Watts were to accidentally slip or fall, this could mean a dangerous rise in power, combined with his carelessness, which could lead to an accidental explosion, or worse, possibly hurting Civilian lives. Over the years watts has learned to control this, but accidents will still happen. Physically, Watts is only a human, and incapable of reaching speeds like others. His energy abilities also lack regeneration, so Watts will have to manage with shields, for now. Watts is also noticed to be commonly on alert and uneasy, so calming him down will be a real issue.
Watts has no real combat experience, and has never picked up a gun in his life. He resorts to using luck in fights and his ability to accomplish what he can, but otherwise is drastically underpowered physically.
Another real issue addressed in Watt's medical dossier is an unknown heart issue, seemingly related to his powers. If watts was to gain adrenaline at a much faster rate than usual, or if he were to exceed his levels that were physically possible, his body will activate a natural safeguard, preventing him from gaining more power. Watts currently is pushing to exceed his boundaries, and, although the condition is not life-threatening, it bars him from reaching levels that would get him on the higher ranks of destructive capability.

Destructive Capacity: Varies, from wall/tree level, to entire Island Bursting levels.

Speed: Known to sprint faster than usual when frightened. On average, the level of a high school sprinter, but much faster if he us using his powers to propel himself.

Durability: Average human durability. His shields are known to block lots of things, from bullets and missiles, to tank shells, during his apprehension by Division Black. Theoretically, he could reach City level durability, if given enough energy and if he is hyper enough. That, or he'd have to take a LOT of adrenaline shots.

Lifting Strength: Average human.

Striking Strength: Class H

Standard Equipment: Nothing much, other than his basic necessities stored in a backpack, which also carries a stash of adrenaline shots, just in case. Don't worry, they don't harm him, and are not addictive.

Intelligence: Watts was known to have honors classes in high school, despite his laid back and lazy, somewhat stupid behavior sometimes. Smart enough to know wright from wrong, but dumb enough to trip over nothing.

Optional stuff.

Name: August Valentine

Alias: Mr. Valentine

Gender: Male

Age: 26 Yrs Old

Appearance: Mr. Valentine

Species: Human

Backstory: August Valentine is an ambitious yet selfless hero dedicated to the sole goal of protecting the future of humanity itself. Having awakened to his inexplicable and supernatural powers during his late teenage years, August's determination and innate curiosity about the world led to him making several scientific discoveries in the world of physics by the time he reached adulthood. Coming to grips with the potential of what he can do, August is driven to use them to the best of his abilities. Almost typically for a superhero, August became an orphan young in life and was raised by various foster families, and so he never felt as if he found his place in the world - a place where he could actually experience true joy and happiness. He was able to find that feeling and that sense of belonging after saving the lives of a family from a motor accident. This was what kick-started his realization to becoming a hero.

Powers & Abilities:
Spatial Mimicry: August Valentine is linked to the fabric of spacetime itself which grants him access to most of his abilities. He has an awareness of an almost incalculable number of parallel realities and he can travel to and from them at will. All of the August Valentine's across the multiverse are linked on a subconscious level, so that he can transfer his knowledge and memories to one of them if he becomes close to death. This grants him a pseudo-form of immortality allowing him effectively live forever unless he is killed instantly. Provided that the damage is done before he has time to react, August Valentine will die.
  • Alternate-Self Summoning: Valentine's primary usage for his power is to summon alternate copies of himself from across the multiverse to fight on his behalf. To an opponent without understanding of his powers, it will simply look as thought Valentine has cloned himself.
  • Alternate-Self Absorption: After summoning alternate versions of himself, Valentine can absorb them for a temporary boost to his own physical condition. He rejuvenates his body and stamina, multiplies his strength to be able to destroy a city with a single strike, and his reaction speeds become nigh-instantaneous.
  • Teleport Dash: When utilizing his spatial abilities for movement, Valentine can blend the concepts of speed and teleportation together into a singular motion. Able to move instantaneously to anywhere he is aware of, Valentine is aware of all movement between the moments of teleportation and can navigate himself at will through space. The drawback to this is he cannot teleport any other people or any objects larger than what he can carry.
  • Dimensional Teleportation: If he is ever injured, Valentines usual tactic is to escape to another parallel universe and recover by swapping places with the August Valentine of that universe.
  • Reflective Immutability: Valentine's greatest power and one he can only use with absolute focus and preparation time, is the able to deflect changes and wounds made on his body to an alternate copy of himself in another Universe. Technically in this state he is all but unkillable but it is rapidly draining on his stamina.

Supernatural Intelligence: August is a natural genius possessing a supernatural level of intelligence and analytical prowess far exceeding other Humans. The speed at which he can react to new information and analyse it rivals even artificial intelligence supercomputers and he rigorously applies this new information in many ways. He is a master of several sciences and has an innate understanding of metaphysics and the multiverse due to his intuition.

Weaknesses: Valentine's spatial powers are not always active - meaning he has to concentrate to use them at all. His abilities drain his stamina and mentally fatigue him. Without his powers active, he is just a super-intelligent human. Valentine himself has little to no offensive abilities other than physically attacking someone, though he possesses reasonable skill in hand-to-hand combat.

Key
Normal ~ Powers Active

Destructive Capacity: Street Level ~ Small City Level

Speed: 10m/s ~ Instant (Teleportation Dash)

Durability: Peak Human Level ~ Town Level

Lifting Strength: Peak Human Level ~ Class 25

Striking Strength: Class H ~ Class TJ

Standard Equipment: Valentine doesn't carry any usual equipment with him except for a pair of sunglasses he wears if is a bright day.

Race Specific abilities: Through a combination of photokinesis and manipulation of heat, they create small discs out of stars that are about to turn into a supernova, then revert them back to a younger star state. These discs are uses for many things, and are the basis of technology for the Veserano. Depending on the shape/size/heat, they can be used in everything from cooking, to travel, to combat.

Homeworld name: Waylineo (way-la-knee-oh), near the center of the Andromeda galaxy, with the dense star hotspot being the most visited by Veserano

Lore:
Long ago, the Veserano were a normal race and no known factors. In the galaxy they were usually left alone, due to being considered "primitive", and "weak." Then, over 13 million years ago, 17 Veseranans, all brothers and sisters, appeared with strange and mysterious power, not only space travel capabilities but also the ability to trap stars within thin discs. Using these powers, the 17 became rulers of the planet, and extended outwardly, quickly gobbling up civilizations to add onto their own. They became a massive empire, spanning nearly half of the Andromeda galaxy. Not only did their war-like capabilities conquer many a hostile race, but their diplomacy abilities created allies. Furthermore, they used the dissent of other races to create an inner rebellion to empires that ruled with tyranny, adding those people under their benign rule. Now, the descendants of those 17 rule the empire, with the prince/princess (direct heirs, first born) who brings the most to the table is chosen as the next emperor. Each of the 17 are given a number, by aptitude test, dependent on their strongest points. 1. Government. 2. War. 3. Diplomacy. 4. Technology. 5. Public Relations. 6. Religion. 7. Agriculture. 8. Manufacturing. 9. Healing. 10. Imports and exports. 11. Strategy. 12. Colonization. 13. Exploration. 15. Star-absorbtion. 16. Star-searchers. 17. Espionage.

They do not truly have a religion, having absorbed the religions of the peoples they conquered or assimilated over the years.

Lore: The Ferushka have long been the guardians of the portals to the Doshadi, seemingly being born into being by the sleep of said creatures. Gathering technology from fallen starships and beaten foes, they have built up an army capable of fighting off the Atlantean empires. Millenia ago, they came under attack by a race whos name is lost to history. They won, but few remained. Now only about 1000 remain. Some of them, like those named as the Loch Ness monster, have taken refuge in different parts of the earth, vowing never to watch the gates again. For the rest, they are the only ones who can pass through the portal without facing death so far. The two leaders, who have been leading since the age old war, Scylla and Charybdis, have been at odds recently, however. Both sides swear to take no lives, but fight through influence and injury. Scylla wishes to keep the giants asleep, whilst Charybdis wishes for the order that passed.

Short description of Tech level: Atlantean-esque (DC) tech as the lowest form, with the highest being powering weapons similar to the cree (possible relation?)

Short history of the faction: Navaticones has been around guarding the portals to the Doshadi for millennia, keeping at bay any who dared try and awaken or even enter the realm of the sleeping Doshadi. They have sacrificed their lives, destroying massive amounts of exploration attempts, as well as killing off Atlanteans of any side who has dared to try and pass through. They do not hold their ground against only Atlanteans, of course, taking on any foe or explorer who may come along. Recently, a civil war has broken out within the factions, splitting it near equally. One side, headed by a Ferushka called Scylla, wish to keep the giants asleep, continuing to do what has been done. The others, led by a Ferushka named Charybdis, wish to awaken the giants, to once again bring order to the chaos that the universe has become.

manipulation and control over the limits and properties of magic, time, and space

Homeworld name:
None
Lore:
The Doshadi themselves are shrouded in myth, having been unseen since near the beginning of the big bang. They, however, lay in stasis between a time/space rupture connection the Marianas trench and an abyss in Neptune. How they arrived there is a mystery, but before that, they were said to manipulate and control the limits and properties of magic, time, and space, granting species abilities and making cosmic artifacts, all the while limiting the capabilities of such things as well as annihilating those who stood against their will. The portal leading to them is currently under control of the group Navaticones, a mix of banished Atlanteans and a race called Ferushka.

How large is the faction in numbers: 6 exactly. Others would just be honorary. Kitty Pryde, Forge, Freefall, Cunero (my character), Collosus, and Beast Boy (assuming none are being used/dead)

Short description of Tech level: Veserano tech, enhanced by Forge, so high-FT using solar discs for nearly everything.

Short history of the faction: The Marianas Corps have been planning an undersea investigation to investigate a power source that shows up in both the Marianas Trench and in a small area of Neptune

Race(s) the faction is made up of: Mutants, Veserano, super-powered humans

Alright, getting them all together. If accepted, I shall pitch the "What Lies Beneath" Arc

Name/Alias: Jimmy Wilson / Johnny Scene / Gideon

Gender: Male

Age: 26

Appearance(Pics are fine, include costume if needed!):

The Middle One:

Species: Meta Human / Human

Backstory: Jimmy grew up, in a poor, trashy neighborhood in South Boston. Growing up in an abusive household, he became a very fragile young man. Attempting to escape the beatings and abuse of his youth, Jimmy fled to the uptown area of Boston, living on the streets, and working hand to mouth, saving up for hi schooling. Eventually, he found his way back into his home, begrudgingly accepting his parent's meager help and apologies. He graduated top of his class in his High School, but everything went south once he headed off to his local community college. Partying, drinking, drugs, Jimmy fell into some bad habits, running drugs, minor crimes, the such. By his second year, he was failing half of his classes, had lost any and all connection with his friends and family, and had become a basic f*ck up. One night, at a random party, hosted by a stranger he didn't even know, Jimmy found himself very, very drunk, and lost. Stumbling down into the basement, Jimmy came upon a hidden trap door, leading into a sub - basement, dating from the second world war. Flipping what he thought was a light switch, Jimmy accidentally triggered a chain reaction in the equipment in the sub - basement, that, combined with the chemicals in his body, gave him incredible powers. Jimmy, still a screw up, is trying his best to do what's right, although he still occasionally slips into the wrong crowd....

Powers and Abilities:

Heat Manipulation:

Jimmy is capable of absorbing the heat out of everything he touches, including humans. He can do so at an astonishing rate, causing a tree to frost over and wither in a mere eyeblink. He can then unleash the heat he stored and there seems to be no upper limit to how much concentrated energy he can unleash in a single burst, as he is capable of unleashing a heat wave massive enough to melt the entirety of Houston at once. Furthermore, the heat he stored makes him hot to the touch, to the point where simply touching him can cause severe burns. Jimmy has enough control over his powers to not melt objects he wants to keep intact, such as his sword.

Teleportation:

Jimmy can teleport, automatically taking inanimate objects and people he touches with him. His teleportation gets described as his body bursting outwards in a flash of light into ceramic shards.

Danger Sense:

(tied to his teleportation) Should something happen that would hurt Jimmy he automatically teleports away. The danger sense works reactive, meaning that it triggers after action has been taken, for example the trigger of a gun has been pulled, and only then when the action would actually hurt Jimmy.

Limited Enhanced Strength: Max: 600 pounds.

Weaknesses:

-Still Human. All humanity rules apply.
-Bodyslide By Two - Teleportation, effects his general health, can make him sick.
-Magic - Magic can seriously screw with his powers.
-Vibranium - Weapons made from the stuff completely cancel out his Danger Sense, leaving him vulnerable.

Destructive Capacity: Very High. If channeling the Sun's heat for several days, can melt cities.
Speed: Teleports instantly. Other than that, normal speed.
Durability: Danger sense helps avoid most attacks. Other than that, has normal durability.
Lifting Strength: Above Average: 600 pound max.
Striking Strength: Above Average: Can hit with 600 pounds of force.
Standard Equipment: Broadsword, Himself, trenchcoat.
Intelligence: Actual knowledge?: Average. Tactical?: Slightly above average. Creative?: Above average, especially when drunk.

Optional stuff.

Theme song: Party By Myself - Hollywood Undead

Random Facts about your character:
Is pretty much a drunk.
Clumsy.
Easy laugh.

One last app, for a char I really want:

Name/Alias: Ray Mahone / Amp

Gender: Male

Age: 26

Appearance(Pics are fine, include costume if needed!):

http://orig14.deviantart.net/b89b/f/2015/283/3/2/zoom___a_speed_demon_by_redhood2343-d9co5gj.jpg

Species: Human / Meta - Human

Backstory: Ever heard about Momentum? Small time super hero, she was a 14 year old girl, struck by lightning, you know, the whole ordeal. Blessed with miraculous speed, able to run up to 150 miles per hour, she joined the Avengers Initiative at the ripe young age of 15 and a half. Of course, that was until she died, about a year later. Distraught by his loss, Ray blamed the death of his sister on the carelessness of the super heroes that were supposed to take care of her, and began a campaign of lawsuits against the meta human community. The only problem with this plan, of course, was that guys like Tony Stark, can hire some pretty fancy lawyers. Fed up with trying to take them down legally, Ray donned his own costume, and discovered, his own, time-based powers, in an attempt to take down the super human menace.

Powers and Abilities:

Personal Time Manipulation:

Ray has the ability to alter time relative to himself. Ray uses time travel to run fast, he time travels with every step he takes, Ray has the power to control his personal timeline, he speeds up his own timeline to run faster and slows down his own timeline to move slower. As he is moving at a normal velocity, and the rest of the world is "slow", those hindrances simply do not affect him.

Superhuman Speed:

He is capable of running at extraordinary speeds much greater than average human speeds and even that of the finest human athletes. He can also punch his opponent many times in less than a second.

Intangibility:

Ray has learned that he can now travel further into time to which things in his immediate area are gone or destroyed and then return to a place just in front of it, because of this, he can become intangible and has passed through speedsters like Bart and objects like walls and buildings.

Weaknesses:
Human Limitations

Ray isn't particularly strong. He can be killed very easily if he is not controlling his vibrations to pass through bullets or other weapons. He can tire and needs to eat a lot due to his extreme metabolism.

Environment

Ray is susceptible to the environment. He is capable of being tripped or loss of friction such as ice.

Destructive Capacity:

City Wide

Speed:

FTL x (10+), to start. Will get much, much faster.

Durability:

Normal, except can dodge / become intangible.

Lifting Strength:

Fit male. Max: 300 pounds.

Striking Strength:

Due to the effects of mass incremental due to speed, can strike as hard, if not harder than Superman.

Standard Equipment:

Himself.

Intelligence:

Genius level intellect.

Optional stuff.

Theme song:

Dark Places - Hollywood Undead

Random Facts about your character:

Psychopathic maniac, genius level intellect. Deceased sister was once a super hero.

Name/Alias: Kismet / Interdictor of Fate

Gender: Female

Age: 900, 000, 000

Appearance:
Image
As a Reaper, this is Kismet's actual physical form, superimposed over an average early-21st century city,
for size-comparison.

Image
This is infiltration humanoid platform Kismet can control to navigate through the the cities and planets of organic civilization, incognito.

Species: Reaper

Backstory: She was a scout with an age old mission. A proud and powerful ranger, an Interdictor, for the Vanguard of Destruction. But that was then. Now she can barely recall her own name, let alone her past. She is a machine without purpose, a titan being, lost in space.

Once part of an ancient race known as The Reapers. A bio-organic machine race that dominated the galaxy of her universe by harvesting and storing organic life in cycles, spread across billions of years. An existence she was cut off from, when she encountered an unknown phenomena, A wormhole that generated a wrinkle in the fabric of time-space, and transported her to the settings of Infinite Justice. Injured during this transportation, her mind is no longer her own, as she can only recall random memories and scrapes of her past. The only thing she is sure on, is what she was called. Kismet, the Interdictor of Fate.

Powers and Abilities:
Magnetohydrodynamic Gun- One large gun. Welded into its hull, stretched across the length of its body, it is the most destructive weapon Kismet has at her disposal.

Black Star Cannons - 15 individual gravitational singularity weapons that create mini-black holes when fired.

Oculi Drones - Large, fighter-sized interceptors, these general-purpose war machines are launched from Kismet's interior, assisting her in the destruction of threats. They main purpose is as surveyors, reporting and sharing information with one another, creating a web of communication that can stretch across solar systems.

Indoctrination - Similar to Empathic Conversion, Parasite Phisiology, and Mind Control, Indoctrination is the term used for the "brainwashing" effect the Reapers and their technology have on organic beings. A signal or energy field surrounds the Reaper, which subtly influences the minds of any organic individual in range. It has been reported as a "horrible, white noise" coming from Reapers as they descend on a planet. Even the machine-ships interior serves indoctrination: the strange angles of the rooms are confusing and make you uncertain of yourself. Indoctrination is one of the most insidious weapons the Reapers have in their arsenal; using mind slaves they have enthralled from conquered planets as sleeper agent puppets.

Weaknesses:
Size - Here gigantic form means she cannot maneuver gracefully, not when side-stepping means taking out a city block. This makes quick dodges and swift evasion a permanent problem. Additionally, shes quite conspicuous and easy to be spotted, denying her any advantage of surprise.

Commonsense - This is a little tricky to explain. She is a practical intelligence, meaning she'll do things that are the most direct, with the highest chance of success. The appropriate result means more to her than the means she uses to achieve it, even if her means are less than appropriate. (Silly Example 1: If her objective is to sleep with you, and restraining and knocking you out is the best way, she'll do just that) (Silly Example 2: If an enemy is hiding in a house, holding its civilians hostages, she's more likely to blow up whole block, if it will eliminate the threat)

Secret Strike Point - In Deathstar fashion, her greatest weapon is her greatest weakness. When using her magnetohydrodynamic, she must disable her kinetic shields located around the firing point of the weapon. Which happens to access her power core directly. A direct hit of would cause the weapon to fire early, overloading her systems, causing her to shutdown, reboot, or even explode.

Destructive Capacity: City Level

Speed: As a Reaper FTL x 10,000+;|Ten thousand times faster than the speed of light at maximum cruising speed. As a humanoid Mach 100K, or 1% the speed of light.

Durability: Mountain Level

Lifting Strength: Mountain Level

Striking Strength: City Level

Standard Equipment:
N/A in her first form, and nothing currently in her second form.

Intelligence: Overall, High. Kismet has vast computational and analytical abilities, able to download, process, and send information at an astonishing rate. She had access to advanced technology, and a library of data spanning billions of years on every subject imaginable. Ironically, she is completely ignorant outside the field of academics. She cannot comprehend simple traditions and customs, or practice what we would dub "common sense".

Optional stuff.

Theme song(s):
Fight Theme
About-To-Do-Epic Theme
Humanoid Theme
Reaper Theme

Random Facts about your character:
Kismet's interior is terminally ticklish and doing so can cause her to lose control of her body. To the woe of those squashed, by a ROFLing Reaper.
Her amnesia is selective, some memories being easier to access than others. Lucidity can be triggered by anything, a word, a thought, a picture.
She has an affinity for bumper stickers, which she collects and places across her hull plating.

Parahumans

  • Race Name: Parahuman

Average Appearance: Nearly indistinguishable from mainline humanity, save for select few.

Race Specific Abilities: Basic Level Supernatural Condition species wide, roughly 25% of the population possesses additional powers after that base.

    Homeworld: Earth, Madworld Island

    Lore:
The Parahumans came to be from British settlers on the NorranArchipelago, a set of islets lying the heart of the North Atlantic Ocean. The archipelago was dominated by Norran Island, which made up 99% of it's total landmass - being roughly the size of Crete (8,303 km2, 3,206 sq mi). Her first settlers brought and raised sheep, while others began to use her as an important stopping point on the way to the Americas. Eventually, a dedicated fishing and docking port ballooned the population, with trade from the Thirteen Colonies and a Royal Navy Station bringing in a constant source of income for the isles. A home for loyalists to the Crown, Norran Island was the scene for a massive build up of Royal Navy vessels as the American Revolutionary War was underway, becoming an important supply depot and routing station for the sailing warships.

A squadron docked at the island one fateful night, when an event known as the New Genesis Wave bathed all of Norran Island and her adjacent islets in a brilliant, golden flash for an extended period of time. It was as if a second sun was high overhead in the dead of nighttime, and from this event, the creation of both the Parahumans and Madworld stem. The residents and soldiers on the isle noticed one thing that was apparent: They possessed unimaginable strength, speed, and durability, and they couldn't sail fifty miles away from the island without running into an energy barrier. They were effectively trapped, and forced to cope with what they had.

Armed with powers, a period of chaos erupted as warlords and factions arose and attempted to gain supremacy over the island and her empowered natives. This disorder and reckless abandon of humanity led to the islanders renaming their home to "Madworld", as it was a hellish place unlike any other, and to them, they were effectively isolated. Eventually, a faction originating from the Royal Navy emerged as the paramount oligarchy of the island, and following their British roots, declared their leader King of Madworld. Renaming the principle port to Mad City, the faction accumulated power and extended their rule inland from the seas, crowning a man named Pope Blair as King of the Parahumans - the name they had given members of Madworld.

As time wore on, stability returned to Madworld, the people there finding themselves able to harness their powers and advance, but a hint of barbarism carried on through the ages between the various Kings of Parahumanity, as the title of King is not awarded to a bloodline or a dynasty. It is awarded to the strongest Parahuman, and to become King, one must successful defeat the reigning King in combat - More often than not leading to the previous rulers' death. This system of Darwinist Absolutism worked with some exceptions, and allowed for strong, capable leaders to take the reigns, guiding the nation into it's current place over time.

Yet, Madworld lagged behind most of the world - unknown to the island, as it was isolated and blocked from the rest of the globe - for many years. That would drastically change with the inventions and brainpower of Michael Morningstar, regarded as one of the greatest Parahumans to ever live, and perhaps the most intelligent one, as well. His power specialized in technology and building it, even from the ground up, allowing the young man to advance Madworld from a rudimentary backwater stuck in the 1800s to a nation with technology that rivaled the likes of Wakanda. Thanks to his inventions, Michael was a favorite to become King, but the current ruler - Sovereign - would put an end to any rival before they made a move.

Michael and his wife, Maria, were indirectly assassinated by Sovereign, eventually leading to Michael's son, Maxwell, to subvert Sovereign and take the throne for himself. However, Maxwell does not talk about his father or what a great man he was - as Mad Max was raised by him, and he was the source of Max and his mothers' abuse, verbally, mentally, and physically. Michael was not the man the public made him out to be, and Maxwell firmly believes that his father is not dead, and justifies his usurping of the Parahuman Throne as an act to avenge his mother, as Max would prefer to see his father rot for the way he mistreated the two of them.

The Parahumans were revealed to the world some years ago as the wall of energy that surrounded their homeland was mysteriously lifted, and a process of integration with modern society began. New bloodlines an influx of non-Parahuman residents to Madworld have affected all aspects of their way of life, from politics to economics, the Parahumans are struggling to keep up with the amount of change their society has been going through for the past twenty years. Boasting a population of three million Parahumans and half a million humans, along with an unrecorded amount of Mutants, their homeland is slowly becoming crowded, leaving some to either leave, or adopt radical ideologies to make the outsiders leave.

  • Name: Kingdom of the Parahumans | Island of Madworld

    Size: 3,500,000

Tech Level: Superior to modern day thanks to the advances of several Parahuman inventors and scientists. Even in the face of isolation, the Parahumans and their home on Madworld kept up with and exceeded Earthly technologies in some ways, while adapting to and assimilating new ideas from the outside world following their re-contact with the rest of the Earth. A larger technological gap is forming due to the inventions of the late Michael Morningstar, and the reverse-engineering of alien technologies by his son, Maxwell, leaving Madworld in a hard-to-pin technological state that varies widely based on class, income, and political ties.

    History:
Originally an island in the middle of the Atlantic, the realm that is know known as Madworld was settled mainly by fishers and traders, not to mention ship builders and the like, in the early age of colonization. Steadily growing and developing it's own culture, the population simply ceased to exist around the American Revolutionary War. An entire island and her population, just gone from the world - never to be seen from or heard from, until only five years ago, when Madworld made contact with the rest of humanity.

On the eve of a Royal Navy fleet's departure from the isle to engage in blockading the rebellious American Colonies, a stunning flash tore apart the sky, and reached into every being in the vicinity to change them. Genetically, physically, and mentally, the people of Madworld gained superpowers, more or less, and found themselves unable to leave their island home in an event known as the New Genesis Wave. Blocked from the world by a supernatural barrier, the population was forced to survive on what little the island could offer, and to contend with their empowered states. Warlordism and factions were rampant and tearing the island apart, but a paramount chieftain emerged as the strongest the isle could offer, and with his allies in the Royal Navy, this man declared himself King.

First of his title, Pope Blair offered the name "Parahuman" to the new race, which he attained from the para- prefix, meaning beyond. The Beyond Humans, and Pope was their King. A master of aquakinesis, Pope could control even the water in the human body, allowing him to effortlessly dispatch rivals and secure alliances, and being a midshipman in the Royal Navy prior to the New Genesis Wave, he set the precedence for Parahuman Kings after him. Pope, however, was not convinced that hereditary succession would benefit his people, so he formed a ruling, that a man may become King by challenging the reigning King for his crown. Pope Blair ruled for many years, shaping and forming Parahuman society into nearly what it is today, and even giving the Forever Knights their name - renaming the Royal Marines and elevating them to the sole armed forces of the Parahumans.

King Blair would meet his end against a young up-start, Robert Cole, whose pyrokinesis was able to evaporate Blair's mastery over water, and even boil King Blair alive by heating the water in his own body - an ironic end to the First King of the Parahumans. More antagonistic and far less quaint, King Cole would spearhead militarization and the advancement of greater powers within the Parahumans, meddling with "strong bloods", those with great powers, and largely oppressing the "low bloods", Parahumans who barely diverged from humanity, to fulfill his ideas. Assassinated a decade into his rule, a man named Ace Austin took over as King with a newly emerged power, Probability Manipulation.

Able to determine the outcome of events based on willpower, Ace was remembered fondly as one of the best Kings to ever rule Madworld, mostly due to his good fortunes and by extension, the peoples. Facing famine and a water crisis, The Ace King was able to feed his people and provide for them for decades, advancing Parahuman technologies to the point that seawater can be made easily drinkable, and food can be grown at a much higher success rate. The longest ruling King, Ace would serve as the benevolent leader of the nation for nearly fifty years, becoming the only Parahuman King to die of old age - Ace's luck having finally run out in the end.

His successor was unnamed, so many hoped to fill the void left behind by the great leader who inspired so many, and a tournament was held to decide who will rule the Parahumans. The next few Kings are relatively unimportant, as they did little and ruled in Ace's shadow. Several insurrections would occur in this time as well, with many Parahumans and the peasant class revolting to establish a parliament, and in some, a full democracy instead of Darwinian Absolutism. They would be crushed by the Forever Knights in their riots and uprisings, and society continued on.

The chain of uneventful Kings and happenings on Madworld came to an abrupt end with the crowning of a new leader, the 49th Parahuman King, who simply went by the name Sovereign. He was powerful beyond measure, more so than any King before him, as his specialized cells provided him with strength from the sun, giving him a massive advantage over many contenders. Maxwell was born under Sovereign's rule, and Max's father, Michael, provided Parahumanity with several technological advances and theories, bringing the Parahumans into the modern age and past it. Michael's power was his inventions and intelligence, many suspecting that he could take the throne as Madworld's first technology-based King. Sovereign, in the mean time, was an oppressive tyrant, who ruled the Kingdom with an iron fist out of sheer spite.

Sovereign was a menace, a man with no redeeming qualities or qualifications for rule, whose blunders were catastrophic in nature and survivable only thanks to Michael Morningstar. Michael would discover and perfect the Morningstar Equation for Energy Absorption, but found himself unable to wield it properly. The chosen user, Michael found, was his son, Max, whose powers were fairly run of the mill, balancing impressive brainpower and physical strength, but having no outstanding power. Maxwell would learn and perfect his Equation while young, but the sudden death of his father changed the boy, and he became cold and distant to the world.

Upset and seeking to lash out, Maxwell formed a small group of like-minded powerhouses, with the intention of changing Parahuman society into a utopia, utilizing their powers and the powers of the people to accomplish such a feat. Not only that, but Mad Max learned of the supernatural barrier separating Madworld from the rest of the world had fallen, and Sovereign suppressed this information and kept his people isolated. Launching a massive rebellion with his group - informally and later formally known as the Godbreakers - Maxwell was deemed as "mad", "insane" for challenging Sovereign for the crown. But, in a battle for the ages, Mad Max managed to gain victory over Sovereign and the Crown of the Parahumans, becoming their undisputed King, and elevating his Godbreaker team to an executive council.

    Races: Parahumans, Humans

The Forever Knights
Image

Number of Personnel: ~20,001 - Divided into a hierarchy as shown:
  • Initiate - ~4,500
  • Squire - ~3,150
  • Knight - ~1,500
  • Paladin - ~750
  • General - ~100
  • Sentinel - 1

A special rank known as the Royal Guard exists for the Supremum Rex, the Forever King, with their number being around 250 at a given time, and recruited from a pool of high-ranked Knights and Paladins.

Technology Level: Futuristic, owing to it's Parahuman origins, the Knights bring together a large cadre of technology and forward-thinking when it comes to their own armor, weapons, and other such systems. Their most identifiable trait is their Exo-Mantle and it's variations, being a powerful and adaptive suit of armor, giving their operators an incredible boost in all fields, allowing a physically fit Parahuman to assume supernatural condition-level effects. It was originally designed by Michael Morningstar, who steadily improved upon it's frame upon each successful rank, leaving off with his most powerful Exo-Mantle and designed for a single user, the Sentinel.

History: Beginning as the rudimentary military force of the first Parahuman Kings, the Forever Knights developed into the sole armed forces of the Parahumans in order to foster better relations among the more gifted elite and their peasants. Not only that, but they would only serve the Forever King, the paramount chief of the Parahumans, allowing whoever held that rank to be in command of the entire races' military power to ensure loyalty and security of his/her domain.

Originally designed as a modern military force, advancements made by Michael Morningstar allowed the Forever Knights to become highly advanced technologically in order to combat the growing powers around the world, not to mention the rising threat of mutants and other mutates throughout the world, despite the isolated nature of the Parahumans. They would grow and evolve into a highly capable and potent force, Forever Kings intensely relying on the loyalty of their knights for legitimacy.

Race(s): Composed solely of Parahumans.

  • Name/Alias: Rip Valentine | Jump Man

    Gender: Male

    Age: 18

    Appearance:
    Image

    Species: Parahuman

    Backstory:
A young Parahuman from the Valentine family, and younger brother to the more well-known Val Valentine, Rip was much more carefree and free spirited than his older sister. As the Valentine's possessed highly sought after abilities of considerable power, Rip was expected to have a skill that was in the same ballpark as Val's Emotional Energy Empowerment, yet, he was instead stuck with the ability to jump at supernatural levels. Even as a young child, he'd just jump everywhere he was going. He'd even jump for no reason other than to do it, over time, he gained impressive stamina and leaping distance, not to mention accurate control of his body muscles to facilitate higher and more spectacular jumps. But, in Madworld, the island of Parahumans, powers were plentiful and he wasn't up to par with even his family's standards, and his attitude made him a poor candidate for the Forever Knights.

So, a few months ago, he just just up and left Madworld, jumping from the island to North America. There, he managed to find a small niche market for his skills, but he traveled place to place - jumping between them, as he should - and never staying in a single city for more than a few weeks at most. In doing so, his jumping ability and physical condition continued to improve and gain notoriety, but Rip's silly personality and goofy mannerisms earned him disdain from more straightforward heroes and vigilantes, not to mention some social exclusion due to his "limited" power set, as many think all he can do is jump.

...Sometimes, even Rip thinks that's all he can do. But a burning desire to do good rages within his very soul, and that's a power very few superheroes manage to possess.

    Powers and Abilities:
    • Parahuman Physiology: Rip's unique Parahuman genetics enable him to be physically above other humans, and is even quite strong physically among the Parahumans due to his constant workout and family lineage. The entire condition he has is dedicated to jumping as well, meaning his speed and endurance are all related to a jump, his bones and muscles are suited to absorbing the impact from a jump, and so on. This makes him one of the most physically resilient and strongest of the Parahumans.
    • Supernatural Leap: Jump Man's true power and his namesake, the boy is simply otherworldy at making his feet leave the group. From clearing tall buildings to jumping across continents, Jump Man is a dedicated man with a silly power that's slowly starting to become something much, much more devastating than just a leap. A limit Rip has placed on himself by pure accident is believing that his ability to jump is only physical in nature, which is not the case. Jump Man's jumps are so powerful, that if Rip put his mind to it, he could jump time, dimensions, and such. He just hasn't unlocked that ability yet.
    • Supernatural Speed: Jump Man is absurdly fast, reaction wise and when moving, but he becomes an absolute blitzing champion when he combines it with his leaping abilities. One of the fastest Parahumans alive, Rip is even comparable to Parahumans whose sole ability is speed - even beating some of them at times with how fast he can go.

    Weaknesses:
    • He cannot fly physically, only jump good.
    • Hot-headed and rather silly at times, Jump Man hardly ever gets serious about anything
    • Third Law: Jump Man causes equal and opposite reactions. He's capable of jumping across Eurasia, but the energy produced would level damn near everything behind him. Instead of making great bounds, he makes several relatively short yet fast jumps to get to where he needs to go.

Destructive Capacity: Town Level, if he's jumping a massive distance.

Speed: Hypersonic, mainly when making several rapid jumps in a succession.

Durability: Town Level, as he really hasn't gone any further or taken that much damage. A conservative estimate, more or less.

Lifting Strength: Class 100, even while jumping, his lifting strength isn't all that impressive.

Striking Strength: Class TJ, by jumping against and then off of an opponent, Jump Man can produce devastating amounts of force.

    Standard Equipment:
    • Parahuman Technology: Technological wonders from Madworld, Rip's suit, belt, and arm protector are akin to a reverse engineered Motherbox, allowing him to communicate with it and, at dire times, teleport vast distances, but he prefers to jump to wherever he has to go. It provides him with regeneration abilities and other random gadgets.

Intelligence: Silly and aloof, Jump Man isn't the sharpest or the brightest, but goddamnit does he have heart and passion for what he does. He's slow to catch on, but that doesn't matter, what matters is that he wants to be a hero and won't let anyone get him down anytime soon. However, he's smart enough to know about the impending Registration Act, and though he has no opinion on it, he'd be forced to pick a side sometime or another.

  • Name/Alias: Sarah Rider | Rocket Girl

    Gender: Female

    Age: 18

    Appearance:

    Species: Parahuman

    Backstory:
A friend of Rip Valentines' from his youth, who damn near always had a crush on him. Rip, being the trouble-making smart mouth and Sarah being the quiet, nerdy type. She began to act out and follow in Rip's footsteps, imitating his behaviors and mannerisms, landing the two of them in front of their principals' office together. There, they told each other wild stories and kept the other company, growing close and forming an unshakable bond. Eventually, though, Rip would descend down a more troubled path as is father and brother were killed, and with the deposing of Sovereign, Rip decided to leave Madworld three years ago.

Never having told Sarah his intention to leave, the young girl was devastated to hear that her best friend and crush since elementary had left her behind. Sinking into depression, Sarah locked herself in her mechanic shop for hours at a time, working desperately to keep her mind off of losing Rip. To that end, she created a heroine that she used to tell Rip about when they were kids: Rocket Girl, a lady who flied around the skies and could punch apart clouds. She too would leave Madworld in search of Rip, finding him using the very same name that he made up as a kid as well: Jump Man. Reluctantly, Jump Man teamed up with Rocket Girl and together, the two began their adventures across the Earth in the name of justice, like two kids who refused to ever grow up.

    Powers and Abilities:
    • Parahuman Physiology: Standard loadout of all Parahumans, who all seem to be leaps ahead of normal humans in terms of speed, endurance, and physical power.
    • High-Tech Exoskeleton: From her boots, gauntlets, and helmet, Rocket Girl is empowered with a visual scanner and heads-up display, power fists able to crack apart buildings with a single punch, and fly at high speeds. The devices are all of her own design and made by herself. While relatively crude and bulky compared to other technological wonders made both on and off Madworld, Sarah's devices suit her and her alter-ego of Rocket Girl.
    • Mechanical Intuition: The basis for her design and creation of the Rocket Girl Boots, Rocket Girl Gauntlets, and Rocket Girl Helmet comes Sarah's ability to create. She isn't very smart in this regard, and many other technopaths will outdo her any day of the week, yet hers has character and motivation.

    Weaknesses:
    • Without the Power Items, Rocket Girl is a normal Parahuman with rudimentary mechanical skills. Same with the areas not covered by the pieces.
    • Her power supply limits Rocket Girl to a Mach 10 speed burst, with operating power steady at Mach 1. Her gauntlets will max out at street-level hits, and can steadily take down buildings. Any further and RG runs the risk of rendering her devices useless hunks of metal.
    • Not the brightest in her field, but able to quickly adapt and do quick-fixes on her armor. Doesn't show a desire to improve her skill, either.

    Destructive Capacity: City Block Level

    Speed: Mach 10

    Durability: City Block Level

    Lifting Strength: Class M

    Striking Strength: Class GJ

Standard Equipment: Gauntlets, Boots, and Helmet - All designed and manufactured by Sarah. Their power source is nuclear in nature, providing ample and extensive energy supply for years and years of steady usage.

Intelligence: Rather aloof and ditsy, Sarah Rider is a talented mechanical expert who tends to see the brighter side of things, and wants to use her inventions to better the world with herself in the drivers' seat as Rocket Girl. She tends to spend more time out and about helping who she can and accompanying Jump Man instead of in the lab designing new and better equipment. A creative and bright young girl, her future seems to be taking a quiet rest as Rocket Girl and Jump Man travel together to unseat crime and injustice across the globe.

  • Name/Alias: Zeus Agamemnon | Son of Sovereign/Prince of the Parahumans | Powerline

    Gender: Male

    Age: 21

    Appearance:
    Image

    Species: Parahuman

    Backstory:
A young orphan left to wander the streets of Mad City, Powerline's parents were executed as dissenters against the regime of Sovereign, King of the Parahumans at that time. He was barely able to walk, much less fend, feed, or clothe himself at the time, but in a strong outburst, his powers were realized, and the story of one of the strongest Parahumans alive began. From that small explosion, Forever Knights took the child into custody, and much was considered on what to do with him. Eventually, a chance visit by the Parahuman King to the Knights revealed the child - who could not even speak his own name being so young - and he was taken under the King's wing.

Fully adopted and never told of his origin, Sovereign trained and partially reared the child, leaving much of the raising to a host of nannies and maids as the King cultivated the boy's power. A vast depth of potential waited within Powerline, and he was eventually given a legal name, something fitting of the Son of Sovereign: Zeus. However, a small bit of memory remained with the boy, he remembered someone (his deceased father) telling him about the power flowing through the lines above them (electrical lines) when he was on the streets. He had taken to calling himself Powerline from this fact, reasoning the great power within him flowed through those lines as well. Childish reasoning, but not very far from the truth, however.

Prince of the Parahumans, Son of Sovereign, Zeus Agamemnon - He was to become the successor to the all-mighty Parahuman King, the first successful dynasty (many had tried and failed in the past), but his destiny was robbed by Maxwell Morningstar and his cabal of Godbreakers. The group and their stoic leader were able to overthrow Sovereign and his own elite soldiers, usurping the Parahuman Throne, and launching a massive political thaw of the post-Sovereign government. Powerline was sixteen at the time of the revolution, and did not intervene - Waiting for the opportunity to challenge Morningstar for his birthright.

Two years into his reign, Morningstar's Court was approached by the lone, eighteen-year-old Powerline - His massive amount of strength able to best the greatest of Mad Max's defenders save for the Godbreakers, all of whom Powerline the young man was ready to take on at once (and was expected to win), and lay waste to many neighborhoods around the Royal Palace. Before they could engage in a brawl, Maxwell instead rose, and offered to meet Powerline's challenge, respecting the young man as a fellow Parahuman.

The Mad King and the Son of Sovereign met in battle on a grassy hill overlooking Mad City, many of the Godbreakers and Powerline's posse in attendance, as was tradition for the Right to Rule (a concept of "only the strongest may be King", dating back two centuries to the first Kings of Parahumanity) among the Parahumans. Little did Powerline realize, however, that the Mad King had powers that negated his own, absorbing blasts meant to annihilate cities and towns with ease. Powerline was enraged, and threatened to blow apart Madworld with his impressive power. Maxwell absorbed even that blast, and began to tell Powerline the truth about his upbringing, man to man. Initially, the Parahuman Prince found it hard to believe, but began to connect the dots the further the battle progressed.

He eventually broke down and wept before the Mad King, years of abuse coming forth suffered under Sovereign simply because he was powerful, noting that he was not Sovereign's child, but a tool to gain more strength. That, and the loss of parents he could never hope to know, as well as the tradition of the Right to Rule: It only ends when either the challenger or the Monarch perishes. Powerline knew he couldn't kill Max, even with his immense powers, due to Max's energy absorption. So Powerline resigned himself to fate, and offered his life to the Mad King. Maxwell was solemn in his decision, preparing to drain away the young man's life, but grabbed him by the shoulder and raised Powerline to his feet.

"Zeus Agamemnon is dead," Maxwell declared, "So that Powerline may live." The action was dramatic and heartfelt, Mad Max undoing yet another atrocity committed by the Tyrant King - robbing Powerline of his life and destiny. Maxwell tasked Powerline with finding a new destiny, a new reason to live besides the Parahuman Throne. The young man accepted the offer graciously, and left Madworld to search for his own life elsewhere, mirroring the departure of Jump Man in that regard, but allowing for the two to meet sparingly over the ensuing months.

    Powers and Abilities:
    • Electron Manipulation: Powerline can emit, blast, and influence electrons directly from his body (or through his body, give or take), giving him destructive power on the scale of a Quasi-Sonic Scream from the Inhuman King, Black Bolt, but one that can be controlled and directed. This grants him numerous other abilities due to electrons being such a fundamental particle to physics and chemistry - most of the activity of the universe is dominated by energy transfers involving the electron.
    • Parahuman Physiology: All Parahumans, regardless of social class, possess Basic-level Supernatural Condition at adulthood (with some minuscule difference between male and female Paras), and Powerline is no different. Without his powers, Powerline would be at that level, but with them, he quickly approaches Advanced and Master Levels, being able to fly and move at incomprehensible speeds - Yet, he is defined by physical limits, such as the speed of light.

    Weaknesses:
    • Positrons, which effectively cancel out his outbursts of power.
    • Powerline is know for outbursts of anger, and isn't an exceptionally smart fellow, so proper planning and prepping can doom the anti-hero.

    Destructive Capacity: Solar System Level+

    Speed: FTL

    Durability: Solar System Level

Lifting Strength: Class 100 (Condition - Not Power)

Striking Strength: Class XMJ (Due to Powers)

    Standard Equipment: N/A

Intelligence: Nothing to brag about, Powerline is gifted in his powers, but not so much in his mental capacity. He's average, run of the mill, not exceptionally stupid, you catch my drift. Most of his fights tend to have him continuously get angrier and angrier until he just blasts away his opponent with obscene amounts of explosive force. He's incredibly dangerous, but he is no villain - Powerline tries to do the right thing most of the time. As he gets madder, however, what's right becomes increasingly blurred until he just lets loose.

    Theme Song: Breaker of Atoms

Random Facts: He's not the actual son of Sovereign, but adopted based on his powers.

  • Name/Alias: Dr. Thaddeus Darklight | Dr. Darklight

    Gender: Male

    Age: 35

    Appearance:
    Image

    Species: Parahuman

    Backstory:
Born with immense power, the man who became known as Dr. Darklight dedicated his life to science and forging a better understanding of the world, hoping to one day follow in the footsteps of his idol, Michael Morningstar, the greatest Parahuman scientist to ever live. Darklight quickly realized how his childhood hero had nothing heroic about him as he matured, finding more pleasure in becoming a rising threat to Michael than anything. Armed with his vast intellect and photon-based power sources, Darklight was the dreaded combination of brain and brawn that could easily rise to the Throne of Parahumanity.

However, Darklight saw no purpose behind such a quest. He kept to himself and did as he pleased with experiments, his inventions building upon the base that Michael Morningstar had left following his supposed death and the tranquil political atmosphere fostered by Michael's son, Maxwell, as he ruled over the Parahumans. He was quick to remind Mad Max, though, that Darklight had no intention for the throne, but made it verbally clear that if he wanted it, Thaddeus would most certainly have it. Regardless, Dr. Darklight is a well-respected Parahuman scholar, and a recent push of his to better himself as a combatant mainly comes out of a desire to push his powers in the name of scientific research. Recently joining the Ultra Corps as a scientific liason and to further his own research, inventions, and theories, he has become a close associate of Daud, but is still closer to King Morningstar.

    Powers and Abilities:
    • Dark Light Manipulation: A distinct dark color exists over Darklight's manipulation of photons, but his abilities and applications do not differ significantly from Light Manipulation despite the difference in color. He has all of the techniques, applications, and most of the associations of Light Manipulation.
    • Parahuman Physiology: Self-explanatory, all Parahumans have a condition that exceeds human standards easily by default.
    • Supernatural Intelligence/Scientific Prowess: One of the greatest minds in Parahumanity, Thaddeus Darklight is a gifted inventor and scientist, specializing in photons and their interactions with other particles, using his powers as a means to enhance his research. He holds a doctorate in physics, and has always been a close associate of King Morningstar due to mutual respect for one another. For research purposes, Darklight has become a member of the newly reformed Ultra Corps to further his scientific agenda.

    Weaknesses:
    • Darkness Manipulation: In the absence of light, he cannot manipulate photons, though he can generate them, darkness will blot them out over time.
    • Mirror Manipulation: Which reflects photons and can potentially re-direct attacks made by Darklight.
    • Trial and Error: Unlike Craig or Zeke, Darklight goes through multiple errors before finding a working formula or invention for his ideas. It takes him a bit longer to come up with technology because of this, but it helps him produce some of the best quality around.

    Destructive Capacity: Continent Level

    Speed: FTL

    Durability: Continent Level (+Photokinetic Regeneration)

    Lifting Strength: Class K

    Striking Strength: Class YJ

Standard Equipment: Various laboratory and testing equipment, as well as random inventions he tickers with when bored or uses when he needs to see if they work under certain circumstances. The suit he inhabits is photosynthetic and of his own creation, and is never seen without it unless by a select few. The suit provides incredible amounts of energy and photons for Darklight to interact with.

Intelligence: In the same league as Mad Max when it comes to intellect, Darklight inhabits the tier below people like Zeke, Craig, and Michael Morningstar, but is vastly ahead of most other high-intellect people from around the world. His inventions and theories have advanced photon physics by decades in such a short amount of time, and his constant contractual labor from Madworld has helped advance the nation and bring it past the modern age of technology. There is little to underestimate with Darklight, he's cunning and brilliant with his devices and ideas, with exceptional imagination and an extroverted personality to match.

    Optional Stuff

    Theme Song: Breaker of Light

Random Facts: At times weird, his personality is all over the place, shifting from fun-loving researcher to smart-mouthed scientist and sometimes thinly-veiled threatening technopath. Darklight is his own man and let's no one walk over him, his relationships are built on trust and respect. He's fascinated with Elos due to their energy and photon composition, but doesn't want to fawn over Xander and look like a weirdo.

  • Name/Alias: Horus Aves | War Eagle

    Gender: Male

    Age: 40

    Appearance:
    Image

    Species: Parahuman

    Backstory:
Horus hails from the Aves Family, a lineage of Parahumans who are known for their bird-like adaptions and powers. Well-respected and powerful, their kind was eventually wiped out by Sovereign out of fear for their potent fighting and planning ability. The sole survivor of the line was Horus, at the time a young man, who retreated to the countryside of Madworld. Unlike his family, Horus was a man dedicated to science and technology, not hungry for political or military power. Horus woulc continue his experiments until the he was approached by Maxwell Morningstar.

Horus, already known as War Eagle by that time, was surprised to find an ally in the son of one of his scientific rivals, Michael Morningstar. War Eagle would plan and design technological advancements for Maxwell and his Godbreakers until they could challenge Sovereign for the throne. War Eagle, along with Dr. Darklight, provided the foundations for the Science Guild and their support of the Morningstar regime and over-all technological advancement of Madworld. War Eagle is gifted in many fields, specializing in technology and biology, being able to build incredible machines and sequence Parahuman genomes and powers down to the molecular level.

    Powers and Abilities:
    • Parahuman Physiology: A trait present in all Parahumans, they are physically beyond baseline humanity.
    • Intuitive Aptitude: War Eagles' prolific power, Horus has a powerful mind and taste for technology and biology that makes him a cut above the rest, able to hold his own in the leagues of Michael Morningstar and Thaddeus Darklight. His inventions proved wonderful and ahead of their time despite his reclusive nature, and helped propel and sustain Parahuman society in an age without Michael Morningstar.
    • Eagle Physiology: A by-product of his heritage, War Eagle resembles a man-eagle hybrid, granting him flight, claws, and enhanced vision, among other things. Additionally, War Eagle wears armor to bolster his defenses and act as a mobile lab to analyze and record things when he's out and about.

    Weaknesses:
    • A reclusive inventor, War Eagle is private and engages in little scientific discourse between peers.
    • Technologically, he's one of the sharpest in Madworld, but is globally outranked by Thomsen and Stark to a large degree.
    • His physical attacks are nothing to brag about, as he's developed technologies to bolster them

    Destructive Capacity: Small Building Level

    Speed: Mach 10

    Durability: Large Building Level

    Lifting Strength: Class 100

    Striking Strength: Class MJ

Standard Equipment: A myriad number of inventions and gadgets that push War Eagle into an unpredictable realm of power and output, focusing on using his technology to surpass his physical limitations.

Intelligence: Among the most intelligent in Madworld, War Eagle was an admirer of Michael Morningstar until the two became bitter rivals. He and Dr. Darklight had a close relationship that drifted apart as well, but never soured as bad as the one between Eagle and Morningstar. War Eagle would dedicate his time to devising and improving on various counter-measures from Michael and his growing legion of scientific monstrosities. However, upon being approached by Michael's son, Maxwell, War Eagle sat at the head of the Science Guild in Madworld, alongside Darklight and Maxwell, which was headquartered out of Cathedral Terra.

  • Name/Alias: Katrina Hex | Dark Water Goddess

    Gender: Female

    Age: 21

    Appearance:
    Image

    Species: Atlantean-Parahuman Hybrid

    Backstory:
The bastard daughter of Michael Morningstar and Zaffre Hex, a female Atlantean warrior, Katrina was given two things from her father: Her name and her powers. Michael had managed to defy the isolation barrier that kept Madworld closed off from the rest of Earth, and used that to his advantage in bringing in other technologies and conducting research across the globe. After Maxwell's birth, Michael began to research the properties of anti-matter in order to make a stable component that could be triggered like a weapon.

To that end, he found the Atlanteans, who were born with telepathy and used it as their primary means of communication. He met a warrior and discussed the idea of Dark Water to her, and thinking it would produce a fine warrior, the warrior - Zaffre Hex - agreed to carry Michael's child. Michael spliced his DNA with Zaffre's and implanted the zygote in Zaffre, along with the codex for the Dark Water Effect, and left the two to live among the warrior caste in Atlantis. Michael instructed that her name would be Katrina, and promptly never saw the two again. Zaffre was promised many things by Michael, but he left her raising a child. Katrina grew up with a hateful mother and an absent father, so grew spiteful against the world, and intent on making things right.

Katrina left Atlantis at her first chance, becoming a heroine in the Caribbean for sometime until the Registration Movement took hold in her native Bahamas. Faced with either registering for government service or jail time, Katrina decided to flee to one of the few places who opened their borders to Anti-Registration refugees: Madworld. On her first arrival, she was taken aback at the squalor the refugees lived in, and even more surprised at the rampant racism and injustice throughout Parahuman society. She grew even more bitter and began to organize with refugees to demand political recognition and change in Madworld.

The results were the creation of the Vox Populi, a people' movement designed to empower the refugees and the lower classes to demand democracy and justice across Madworld. Labelled as terrorists, the group went underground and began to shift from non-violent protests and demonstrations to all-out war and violent revolution. Hex unknowingly leads the movement to dethrone her absolutist half-brother, Max, and is armed with an Equation their father also designed to boot.

    Powers and Abilities:
    • Parahuman/Atlantean Physiology: High-class physical prowess owing to her genetics, Hex can easily hang with men of both species in strength, durability, and speed.
    • Dark Water Effect: Hex was born with one of the Equations made by Michael Morningstar, granting her control and influence over Dark Water, which is akin to telepathically controlled liquid anti-matter. Dark Water moves and flows like regular water, and can be mixed with water without disastrous effects in order to create more of the substance, but the Dark Water Effect allows whoever wields the Equation to trigger the liquid into an explosive force of annihilation.

    Weaknesses:
    • She can last for long periods of time outside of water, but the longer she's away, the weaker she becomes.
    • Not only that, but no water means no replenishment to the Dark Water, making her uses limited and less frequent with each use.

    Destructive Capacity: Country Level

    Speed: 10,000m/s

    Durability: Country Level

    Lifting Strength: Class K

    Striking Strength: Class ZJ

    Standard Equipment:
    • Spear Gun: Mostly for badass points but has actual uses as Hex combines her Dark Water with the spear, producing a sizable explosion from afar or deep into armored foes.
    • Dark Water Effect: A potent Equation developed by Michael Morningstar alongside the Morningstar Equation and the Doomsday Sanction, the Effect gives one control over a strain of liquid anti-matter that is kept neutral and nonreactive until a telepathic trigger reverses the liquid, and makes it react violently with whatever positive matter it may be in contact with. A person could potentially wrap themselves in a sphere of Dark Water and trigger the reaction as an offensive shield, and can infect other water sources to turn them into more Dark Water.

Intelligence: A highly adept and skillful leader and commander, Hex is not above manipulating people and positions to get her way or direct her movements. However, she usually has the best interests of people in mind for her goals instead of selfish motives. Her technical smarts start and end with the Ocean and Seas, knowing a great deal about them but little if any on other topics besides leadership. Hex has a very deep social network of people working for her and with her, meaning if she can't do something, she probably knows someone who can.

Name/Alias: Ephilia - Fallen Goddess Of Rebirth (Self Declared 'Goddess Of New Creation').

Gender: Female

Age: No Beginning And No End. Alpha And Omega.

Appearance:
Image
Image
Image

Image

Species: Ilumni (To be described later)

Backstory: As an Ilumni, Ephilia was born of the hopes, dreams, and desires of various lesser species throughout the universe until what could only be termed as a 'big-bang' marked her birth as a new celestial being in a realm where Celestial beings manipulate reality for their own amusement. As one of the 'greater Ilumni', she underwent the trials that her celestial comrades also had to go through in order to discover her place among the 'Divines'. Various rituals and other rites led to her discovery as the Goddess Of Rebirth. A highly coveted position among the Ilumni, and a dangerous one if mismanaged.

Eons would pass and Ephilia would witness the births and destruction's of other Divines as they waged war against the other numerous celestial beings that inhabited the Universe. Sometimes, Ilumni would even wage conflicts against themselves, resulting in pointless loss of significant amounts of life. She would be able to tell, but this was the first of the tell tale signs of 'Taint'.

The 'Taint' as Ilumni liked to term it, was the eventual corruption that overtook all of their species if alive long enough. Eventually becoming the oldest Ilumni, it was expected for Ephilia to cede her position to a younger member of their species and strip herself of her powers. Unfortunately, there would be none of that. Rising up in resistance against the 'Chief God' of the Ilumni, Ephilia murdered them in their own divine plane, and began to wage war against the weaker members of her species. One by one, more of her former comrades succumbed to 'Taint' which Ephilia had managed to spread at will.

Not being satisfied with destroying her own species to become the Prime Celestial, Ephilia took to spreading the 'Taint' across the Universe. With it, she drained entire solar systems of life, blacked out suns, and created horrible abominations from the desecrated corpses of the fallen and corrupted. It was nightmarish until what few Ilumni remained put aside their differences and gathered other Gods to stand against Ephilia and her hordes of darkness. Currently, she is locked in a destructive battle on her home plane.

Powers and Abilities:
Weaknesses:
  • Whereas darkness thrives, light seeks to extinguish it. Where darkness may empower Ephilia, overwhelming powers of purity and light are what work best against the hordes of evil.
  • She'll constantly feed on the lifeforce of Celestial beings to stave off the 'Taint' that's corrupting her own soul.

(As a Goddess that feeds off death and destruction, her powers vary depending on the Universal levels of negativity and loss of life. The following is the max power she can achieve at a single time.)
Destructive Capacity: Galactic Level

Speed: FTL (x1,000,000,000+)

Durability: Multi Galaxy Level

Lifting Strength: Stellar

Striking Strength: Class XTJ: Tenaterajoule class.

Standard Equipment: N/A

Intelligence: Vast. Generations of corrupting celestial beings has allowed Ephilia to gain access to the archives of knowledge that her former comrades and predecessors possessed.

Backstory: Though Alexandria's life might have been unfortunately ordinary, it was not an easy one. Alexandria grew up as an only child in a family struggling to get by. She originally grew up in a small town in Montana, where everyone knew each other and Alex had a small group of friends she went to school with. However things changed when her father was forced to relocate to Jump City for work. The family moved into a small apartment and the 11 year old was forced out of her natural environment and away from her friends, and made to face a big city by herself. Money proved to be very tight for the Callahan family and this often led to arguments between Alex's parents. Things weren't going much better for Alexandria at school either. Her parents weren't able to provide her with very nice clothes or technology, and so Alex was often picked on at school and didn't have many friends. She hated it in Jump City, but never let onto her parents as to how bad it was, not wanting to add to the problems that they were having. She let most of her feelings out into her journal, and spent a lot of her time in her room reading books about kids having adventures and finding their place in the world. She was in love with things like Percy Jackson and Harry Potter, and believed that her adventure would finally start. Unfortunately for Alex, things only started to get worse.

When Alex was 15 her father was arrested in a huge drug bust at his office, and it turned out that he was involved in dealing drugs in order to earn more money so that Alex could go to college. Alex's father is sent to jail and life only got worse for Alex at school. Both the teachers and her fellow students began to shun and exclude her, as they didn't want to associate with the daughter of a known drug dealer.

Things deteriorated at home for Alex as well. Her mother was distraught over her husband's secret life and had filed for divorce and began to take less and less care of Alex. Eventually child services came to take Alex away and bring her to a foster home, but at that point Alex had had enough. She was tired of being taken for granted and she was tired of waiting for something to happen. She decided to run away from it all and swept off into the night before the morning that Children's Services was supposed to pick her up. She ran off with all the clothes, food, and books she could carry, but she was hopelessly unprepared to live off on her own. She had ended up sleeping in the Red Wood Forest because she didn't know where else to go. One night she was starving and sitting up against a tree when suddenly she saw a giant ball of fire flying through the sky and landed in a nearby clearing. Alex was afraid that there would be a fire but when she reached the clearing she saw it was covered in ice. She looked at the large rock in the center of the field with fascination. It was glowing with some dark energy, and Alex couldn't help but take steps towards it as its glow grew larger and wilder. Eventually she reached it and paused, before holding her hand out and placing it on the meteor.

She then lost consciousness and awoke in her own mind, face with a mysterious creature with beautiful silver scaly armor, and large majestic dragon wings. He told her that she was a suitable host for the Dragon Force, an alien energy force that gave its host incredible abilities. He told her that she could become powerful and finally get what she wanted out of the world. He didn't need to say anything more at that point. All of Alex's dreams of a magical quest and of power and purpose came rushing to her mind. She eagerly accepted the offer and was suddenly met with a huge flash of light that seemed to swallow her whole.

Alex regained consciousness soon after and discovered her ability to transform into her dragon form and the incredible powers that she gained from it. She spent the next few weeks exploring the world and living the life that she was never allowed to have before. She also saw the terrible poverty and cruelty that existed in the world as well, and so many people were suffering from the fate she had suffered from. From that moment on Alex, who matured much faster with the dragon force, set out to create a new world order, one where she was in charge and could right all of the wrongs of humanity.

Alex has since began putting her plans in motion and has begun searching for more people willing to embrace the dragon force, as she believes assembling a team will be the best way for her to achieve her goals. She has also returned to Jump City and retook her role as a high school student to buy herself sometime to act and establish herself. She plans to make Jump City the capital of her empire and though she'll never admit it, she secretly hopes that conquering the world will bring her the love and admiration she had always desired.

Backstory:
Lance was born an only child to a famous archaeologist, Roger Dagheart, who focused his research on ancient Egypt. Lance's mother, Angelica, died during child birth, which always created an unspoken distance between Lance and his father, who secretly held resentment for the way that Angelica died. Due to Roger's nomadic life still, Lance spent most of his time with his rich aunt and uncle who also failed to spend much time with him. Having a lonely childhood, Lance took to fighting as a way to release his pent up emotions, and joined a local gym to meet friends.

His father greatly disapproved of this new hobby when he discovered it, however Lance continued to excel at boxing and wrestling, so much so that after graduating high-school Lance decided to become a professional fighting rather than go to college as his excellent grades would allow him. His father returned from one of his long expeditions and had a huge argument over it. This would be the last time the two ever spoke as Lance moved out of his Uncle's house and cut all ties with his family.

For 6 years Lance proved to be an excellent fighter and even held championship belt for a short while, until one day he read in the news about a professor being fired from his university and being institutionalized for disillusions. He was shocked when he read the professor's name, it was his father. He quickly went to the hospital in New Hampshire where he was being held and realized that his father had indeed suffered a breakdown. He had lost all ability to focus and comprehend, he didn't even recognize Lance when he saw him. He merely sat on his bed, constantly chanting one word over and over again, "Anubis".

After this Lance suddenly quit his career as a fighter, sighting personal issues as he became obsessed with figuring out what could have possibly caused his father's breakdown. He began reading all of his father's research as well as whatever he could find about Egyptian mythology. He also moved back to his home town of Gotham City, only then realizing how much death and destruction had taken place in his absence. His return was prompted by his father's notes that indicated that something he was looking for something hidden in the city. However when he returned he gained a new mission as well. Now that he was no longer had fighting as an outlet for his aggression he turned to crime fighting, and was determined to rid his city of evil, while also taking out his anger on the faces and ribs of criminals. So Lance used his connections in the fighting underground and acquired body armor, as well military grade batons, tasers and other equipment he could use to reek havoc on crime. Name/Alias:Sir Michael Ashdawn, known as the "Dawn Knight"

Gender: Male

Age: 32

Appearance(Pics are fine, include costume if needed!): Michael

Beast Form

Species: Mutant

Backstory:
Michael was born in the year 1046 AD in a small Norman village in relative obscurity. Truly there was nothing about Michael's family or the circumstance of his birth that suggested he would be anything more than a footnote in the brutal world that was medieval Europe. However, there was something special about Michael that no one in medieval Europe would ever understand. Priests called it a gift of god, pagans called it magic, and they weren't completely off, but it was also science.

Michael's mutation became apparent in his early youth, around his fifth year of life, and it was shown by his incredible strength. His parents who were farmers in a small poor village were quite scared by their son's strength and took him to a local witch, believing Michael to be cursed. The witch entered a trance claimed cryptically that their son, "had a heart of a lion" before snapping out of it and being able to sense no more.

When the family returned to their home in the village, they found their house surrounded by a small squad of soldiers flying the flag of William, Duke of Normandy. Michael was forcibly removed from his family and taken to the castle of Duke William where he would spend the rest of his childhood.

Michael was then raised and trained by a knight named Duncan who would become Michael's mentor and father figure. Soon Michael's powers became more and clear and he became famous among the Norman nobility. Soon he became a knight under the direct command of Duke William himself, who Michael became quite loyal to. When the Norman invasion of England began, Michael was on the front-lines, earning the nickname the Dawn Knight from his soldiers and the people of Normandy.

However things changed forever during the battle of Hastings when Michael turned the tide of the battle after suddenly transforming into a lion like beast and unleashing a horrible roar that sent the English troops into a frenzied retreat. The Normans were victorious and Michael was a hero.

During the last legs of the war, Michael met a pagan priestess named Aliana, who supposedly possessed great magical abilities. The two soon became attracted to each other and by the war's end the two of them were married. William, now king, tolerated this marriage though clearly disliking Aliana's pagan ties. Beyond his romantic feelings for the priestess there also proved to other great benefits to their union. Aliana was able to enhance her husband's ability, give him control of what he refers to as "Beast Energy".

Even after the war Michael continued to fight for his king, however Michael began to lose his love of warfare, and his animal instinct. In the year 1067, he put down his sword and supposedly retired from the army and moved to the country side with his wife. Despite many attempts they were unable to produce children, though this did not mean they were without company.

Michael started his own order of knights known as the Lionhearts and took on a large number of disciples to train. However after seeing his first and second wave of trainees dying on the battlefield Michael became withdrawn and refused to take anymore disciples in 1075. For three years he lived in obscurity until a new threat arrived that he could not ignore. Mysterious disappearances were occurring in his local village. Word of mysterious shadowy figures was spreading and Michael decided he needed to deal with it. He picked up his sword for the first time in years and headed toward the forest where the disappearances were occurring.

Michael remembers nothing of what happened after that, only that he arrived in an unbelievably strange world, the world of 2016. He though he had lost his mind, until he realized he had in fact moved forward in time. He spent almost a year finding out as much as he could about this new world, and now is searching for a way to return to his own time, and to learn what had happened to him in the first place.

Powers and Abilities: Michael is a naturally gifted swordsman, and has superhuman strength and durability even while in his human form. His mutation gives him the ability to change is form into a lion based humanoid body. This comes with a various advantages including increased strength and speed as well as heightened senses, and a supernatural roar that serves as both a sonic blast and physiological attack against his enemies. Michael's weapons have also been enchanted so that they change with his transition, which turns his human weapons into their beast forms.

In his beast form Michael is also access to "Beast Energy" which is a form of magical energy that he is able to channel to give him more strength or release as a projectile weapon.

Weaknesses: When in his Beast form, Michael may often succumb to animal instincts, creating strategic opportunities for his enemies in combat. His roar's psychological effect works better on the weak willed, and can be resisted and mitigated.

Random Facts about your character:

Name/Alias: Kevin Jackson/Hood Knight

Gender:Male

Age: 17

Appearance(Pics are fine, include costume if needed!):(Imagine Kevin without glasses)
Kevin

Hood Knight

Species: Human

Backstory: Kevin's life is unfortunately one that is very familiar and not uncommon. He grew up in a very poor broken home in Chicago as an only child. His mother was a recovering alcoholic and his father was constantly between jobs because of the horrible job market and his prior arrests from selling drugs as a teen. Kevin grew up in a very difficult neighborhood where the local gangs were constantly pressuring him from a young age to join them. Finally after being threatened with violence if he refused, Kevin joined one of the local gangs in 8th grade to protect himself and try to earn money for his family. Kevin ended up doing some things he wasn't proud of and his grades and family life slowly began to deteriorate. In the end Kevin ended up a former gang member and a high-school drop out with no prospects for a meaningful future.

That all changed however when one knight when he was walking home from his job at the gas station, the wind started howling around him and despite trying to run away, Kevin was surrounded by a flash of light and suddenly the world around him disappeared. He was suddenly in a strange forest, surrounded by a circle of strange glowing figures in brightly colored robes. They were chanting in some strange language until the person in the center stepped forward and spoke to Kevin. The woman told him that he was the chosen one, brought from far off to save their world of Aletia from a great evil.

Obviously, Kevin though he was hallucinating but suddenly his body was lifted up into the air and his whole body felt like it was on fire. He screamed out in pain as he was literally struck by lightening. When Kevin landed on the ground, he was covered in strange armor and lightening was literally pulsing from his body. The strange robed people disappeared, and Kevin was left to wander out of the forest, until he finally came upon a small village. The people seemed scared of him, they were human like, but their ears were more pointed and they were shorter than the average human on Earth. Almost everyone in the village ran inside and closed their doors, except for an old woman, who stepped towards him. She explained that the armor he was wearing was a sign of the gods, and its appearance would beckon forth the end times. Before Kevin could ask the many questions that were flowing through his mind, the monstrous sound of stomping animals could be heard from the south. Giant like men were riding on the backs of creatures that reminded Kevin of panthers.

They came to a fault out side of the village and the group's leader approached Kevin and the old woman with his followers lagging behind. He had deep purple skin, and a huge sword hanging off his back. He spoke in a gruff voice, in a language that Kevin didn't understand. The old woman translated for him, the purple giant told him he was in Yusik territory and that he would need to leave or die. Kevin looked toward the giant, and though he had no idea where he was, he wasn't planning on getting pushed around by some purple freak. He told the woman to tell the giant the worst insult she could think of. That led to the giant waving its massive sword, planning on killing Kevin right there. Kevin's body seemed to take on a life of its own and when he raised his hand to protect himself lightening shot forth from it and shot the giant yards back. This seemed to frighten the other giants who ran back to their steeds and rode away. The human like natives of the village soon came coming out of their houses, starting at Kevin with awe. Not too long after that a group of humanoid soldiers came riding to the village as well, having heard what had happened they brought Kevin to the small castle of a local king. Next to the king stood his beautiful daughter named Kala who spoke English and was able to translate. Her father explained through her that Kevin was not the first alien to arrive, and so they had learned the language of English which was a spiritual language to them. He explained that he was King Agur of the Cannians, and that his people were being threatened by purple giants known as the Yusik. Agur explained that Kevin was their savior, and destined to lead them to freedom. Kevin had no idea what to think, he was just a kid from the hood. A good for nothing gang member, now he was some kind of Moses like savior? It made no sense.

Kevin refused and turned and walked out of the castle, but he was followed by Kala who comforted him and convinced him to stay. Soon Kevin was being trained to fight in traditional combat, and one day a sword fell from the sky, landing straight into the ground, seemingly unharmed. The other troops gathered around it, trying to lift it but none of them were able to. However when Kevin approached he was able to lift it out of the ground. The others bowed before him, recognizing he was truly chosen by the gods, naming him the Knight of Hood, as when he was asked where came from, he told them sarcastically that he was from the Hood.

Soon it came time for war and Kevin was now leading troops into battle. His powers were proving to be incredibly useful and he was practically unstoppable. With his help, the Cannians drove the Yusik out of their lands and won their freedom. However unfortunately King Agur passed away, and the people rose up and chose Kevin as their king, naming him Kasir the Great. He married Princess Kala and the two created a united kingdom and ruled in harmony for years. However, one day when King Kasir was in his late thirties there was a bright flash of light just like the one he had seen decades before and heard a voice that said, "You're time is over." Before the light engulfed him and the world was gone once again. He woke up in his bed in Detroit, but he was still wearing his armor and his sword but he was back in a world he had nearly forgotten. Kevin struggled with this, he felt like he had lost his entire life. However he refused to go back to being a nobody. He was a king, a hero. He was... the Hood Knight.

Krytonus wrote:Name/Alias: Marcus Murphy
Gender: Male

Age: 23

Appearance:
Species: Mutant.

Backstory: Marcus was born in Philadelphia to a conservative upper-middle class family. He was a very well behaved child and got along well with everybody. He was the perfect kid. His grades were excellent and he never got into trouble, always keeping his nose clean. However, when Marcus hit puberty, things changed. He would wake up and find himself in the middle of the Nevada Desert, or one minute be doing his homework and the next he was at that little Mexican resort they went on vacation to three years ago. He had little to no control over his powers, and it was nearly impossible keeping it secret from his incredibly anti-mutant parents.

Although Marcus quickly gained control of his powers, when he became flustered or angry he became prone to accidentally activate his powers. As Marcus got older his grades drastically dropped, he lost weight, became more distant and teachers often reported how he suddenly had to excuse himself and would run off and disappear from class. His parents had no idea what to do with their little boy, and they eventually started sending Marcus to a psychiatrist. Over several months Marcus began to open up about his problems and confessed that he could teleport. Despite Marcus's begging, the psyche told Marcus's parents.

Shocked, the Murphys sent Marcus to a specialised centre for "rehabilitating and reconditioning" mutants. Marcus was kept in a tiny room with concrete furniture and a bible. He was chipped so he could be tracked if he tried to teleport away. Every day he would be constantly told that his powers were a curse from Satan and were sinful. He was forced to write scripture over and over again until his hands bled. Electric Shock treatment took place every day. After a week Marcus stopped struggling and trying to escape. After three, he rarely spoke or ate. Four months later following heavy petitioning and new legislation, the institution was closed down.

Marcus was free, but he was no longer the same Marcus Murphy. He never spoke to his parents or teachers, ignored homework and began hanging out with the "bad" kids. He started smoking and drinking heavily, went for joyrides in his buddy's car and started dressing in black leather. Eventually he even began using his powers again, coaxed out by his friends, who used him to steal from liquor stores and hide from cops. His parents had no idea what to do. Marcus terrified them. They never spoke out when they noticed their finest bourbon was gone, or when they found blunts in his room. They never complained about the missing notes from their wallets and purses. Nor when he returned home one day with a tattoo on his left hand of an eye. They shrank away from him, afraid of what he might do.

On his eighteenth birthday, he vanished along with half of his parents' savings. With the cash he'd taken from his parents, Marcus bought himself a 1980 Harley Davidson FXE 1200 Super Glide, a shotgun, some ridiculously expensive aviators and was gone. His parents never gave him a second thought. They were just relieved he had left.

Over the next few years, Marcus began working as a mercenary and a professional thief. If somebody wanted something, Marcus could get it. And if there was something Marcus wanted- he had it. Over the years Marcus has become notorious for his skills and is one of the top mercs in the US, with the likes of powerful corporations and billionaires employing him.

Powers and Abilities: Teleportation. Marcus is able to teleport himself and any objects he is carrying. He is also able to teleport objects alone, for example teleporting a brick inside somebody's face, instantly killing them by destroying the brain.

Weaknesses: Marcus can get very angry if he doesn't get what he want immediately since he is so used to having things appear as he thinks of them. Other than his powers, he's just a normal guy and can easily be defeated if not using his powers. Lactose Intolerant.

Destructive Capacity: Street Level.

Speed: Average Human.

Durability: Human Level.

Lifting Strength: Average Human.

Striking Strength: Human Class.

Standard Equipment: 1980 Harley Davidson FXE 1200 Super Glide, sawed-off shotgun, A small leather satchel full of very light metal spheres (He can use them as a weapon by teleporting them into people. Very painful.) Knife, aviators, worn leather jacket.

Intelligence: Average.
