If you are unable to read, After watching an episode of Community and listening to This song, I've come up with an RP idea so ludicrous and revolutionary, it's the best thing since the Power Glove:
A RP taking place in the late 80's, early 90's, when video games were hip, music was all synth-y, and Arnold-style action movies were more common than today's crappy movies.
PLOT
Basically, the plan and cheesy plot for this rp is somewhat simple: As the title says, it's the summer of '80 something for your characters, middle of the summer for Kids, students, teachers, and adults alike. A massive K-12 College prep school by the name of Woodbridge Academy, in Somewhere, Maryland, has found that students are not having fun towards the end of the year, unlike other schools, mainly due to the deadly exams that happen each semester's end. So, after a cup of coffee with the school superintendent and a long talk with the faculty, Woodbridge administration has decided the only way to increase "fun" for everyone is through a deadly paintball
"On this massive school campus, will be the largest school paintball war known to mankind, with every faculty, student, and teacher taking place. No survivors, but one main goal: be 'killed', or be victorious.
At some point in the RP, word of the battle will have been broadcasted to the state police, so at some point in the RP the SWAT [controlled by me] will have to siege the school using their battering rams, Paintball assault rifles, and tanks, in hopes of getting the reward of NOT HAVING TO TAKE POLICE EXAMS, and overall quell the anarchy the school [and the area as a whole] have been thrust into.
MECHANICS
It'll have two main sides: The Reds, run by the younger Middle and Lower school students and Staff, and the Blues, led by much older Middle Schoolers and upper schoolers, and staff respectively. Caught between the crossfire will be Whites, a hostile team of staff whose only goal is to prevent the Reds and Blues from getting the reward [locked in the highly-fortified principal's office], and a variety of smaller gangs and lone wolf individuals, who want the reward all for themselves.
Characters will be given the opportunity to join the teams: Red or Blue if student or Teacher, White if teacher or school staff, or create an entirely different colored team on their own! Keep in mind that the SWAT faction and the whites will be controlled by me; whites being faculty out to keep students from getting the "Goal" and bringing it back to their base as a challenge, and SWAT being the police force to bust into the school, grab the goal themselves, and overall keep everyone from going apeshit insane.
Note: If someone is shot, they are out for 2 hours, leading to some very dramatic moments.

EQUIPMENT
Equipment in the roleplay will consist of military-grade weaponry-turned paintball weapons, such as M16 Paintball guns and Paintzookas [guess what a paintzooka is]. Melee weapons will be fun. They will consist of painting equipment like paintbrushes and rollers, whose effects will vary based on their use.
Armor is up to the character. If it's a nerd, expect cardboard and power gloves. If it's a jock, expect football pads. I will leave it up to the poster to decide how their Character's armor looks like, and their weapon.
Keep in mind: Factions may be either UNDER-equipped, or OVER-equipped. Obviously factions like the SWAT would be amazingly over-equipped, whilst smaller, nerdy groups would be drastically under-equipped.
Vehicles will vary from Technicals, to sports cars, to even golf carts. It's a big Campus, might I add.
CHARACTERS
Since this is going to be both a Faction RP and a character RP, where you can Rp as either a faction member or a lone wolf, expect the character apps to have something such as Extensive bios, or Faction allegiance. Keep in mind characters who are lone wolves are either heavily over-equipped or drastically under-equipped, depending on their status. You can have a nerd who is armed to the teeth, or a jock who uses his NAVY SEAL ROTC MLG skills for sneak attacks.
Characters will be diverse, and, yes, you may RP As faculty and teachers! Some of mine shall range from the Elite - the White Faction Lower/Elementary School history teacher with a dark Navy SEAL past in Vietnam, and the New Lone wolf "athletic and quiet" kid with the skills of a guerrilla soldier - to the novice, such as the Red 8th Grade Cheerleader who has never picked up a paintball gun before, let alone a real weapon, and the Blue outspoken geek, who thinks his video game skills will allow him to win, but will realize that real life is drastically more different than a game.
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, I hope that this role-play will go far. It seems like a very epic concept, and, although I expect it not to last long, I believe it will be a very fun time, while it lasts. It'll be funny, romantic, and epic, all at the same time, and I believe some of you interested might enjoy it.
If we get enough interest, I will put up an official OOC thread. For now, start drafting plans for characters, if you'd like, or help out in assisting in the rp, such as for making the map and background information.

If your character is shot, he/she is out for 1 to 12 hours, depending on the injury. Normal bullet wounds will mean an hour, but something like getting shot up by a quad paintball machine gun or a Paintzooka will mean more than 6 hours. If ones leg is shot, they are not dead, but slowed down.

Please no overly OP characters or mets gaming. Please.
