The next day soldiers move as well, seeing the barrage not coming, soldier simply take watch returning the favor by not firing theirs and giving MG squads a break.

The Eisenlanders head back to their trenches, and the following week is relatively peaceful, save a few rifleshots in false alarm.

As the high command plans, all this is to change in a few days. For the last months, the Western Front has been relatively stable - but trains have been constantly bringing shells, artillery, and freshly trained recruits to the battlefield. This is kept as secretly as possible, though it is obvious that Eisenland has been building up its military forces - still, the full size is scaled down in reports, and the news of an offensive is kept strictly limited to the high command.

With more ammo and weapons coming, forces have carefully been stockpiling them, planes likewise have been in stockpile, Togeria prepared to do anything to hopefully beat back the Eisenlanders.
