That morning, sunlight shimmers on a sea of bloody corpses. Eisenlander troops, exhausted, climb out of their trenches in amazement at the sight. Medical crews immediately go to work recovering the enemy wounded, searching through the dead to find them. An uneasy calm silence marks the morning of September 16th, on the Dutch-Ostfriesland border.

The Second Battle of the Ostfriesland Line is calculated as the most bloodshed in the least amount of time of the entire war. 20,000 Badassistanian soldiers were killed, and another 40,000 wounded. Eisenlander losses are far more slight, just 1,000 killed and 2,500 wounded.

A highly nationalist and anti war group called the AWP (Anti-war party) quickly forms after the major defeat in Belgium. Its motives are not entirely known as of yet but it seems to be growing in membership almost daily.

Many Togerians huddle up as the snow falls but nonetheless ordain each other with gifts, most of them being made from supplies in the trenches. General Revouir of the western front raises a flag of peace as he crosses to speak to the supreme commander of the Eisenlanders.

In Italy the stalemate remains. Field Marshal Kovacs has been court marshaled now and replaced with a more competent leader. This has caused the troops from the Togerian trench to be pulled back for the most part, turning into a far more static battle with Alpine troops holding their fortified position. Uniforms have already been replaced, the soldiers now wearing camouflage the color of the snow and wearing heavy wool cloaks, faces concealed behind white masks.

Christmas in the trenches is bitter sweet for the soldiers along the Netherlands front, the constant losses due to bad leadership and tactics continued to lower moral of the soldiers but they still hung on to the chance of a victory. In London, propaganda supporting the war is on almost every street corner which even makes Christmas at home bitter sweet as unfilled chairs around the dinner table remain unfilled.

UM continues to send shipments of Weapons, Ammunition, Artillery Pieces, and Arty Shells to Togeria, and secretly asks Badassistan if they require any military materials.

The Eisenlanders propose a game of football (non-American) with the Togerians, sharing with them the same moments of joy as with the Badassistanians.

The next day, the Eisenlanders trudge back to their trenches. It seems as if the war is on again, but the usual artillery barrages are called off.

The next day soldiers move as well, seeing the barrage not coming, soldier simply take watch returning the favor by not firing theirs and giving MG squads a break.
