But lets put the topic to rest.

indeed, they tried it last night... ... didn't turn out well for them

Anyway, way am I the only nation scrambling for Earth? Wasn't this RP about imperialism? Also, I don't think the impact of oil scarcity is really affecting this RP. I think we need some changes here soon.

Who? The west is still trying to act like the good guys, Thailand retracted his attempt, EU is seemingly doing nothing in that department, Russia is being vague.

The only other country to really try anything is South Africa, and they are still in planning.

Sorry it was a bit short. I think it's better to add the letters in a future post so that these are buried

APPLICATION

~Basic Information~
Country name, short (do not choose individual states in the E.U.): North Korea
Country name, formal: The People's Republic of North Korea
Ideology and political system: Communism, Autocraticism
Current head of state and title: Kim Jong-un, his excellency/supreme leader (I'm not kidding)
Current head of government and title: Kim Jong-un, his excellency/supreme leader

~Economy and Demographics~
Population, total (2024): 25,872,000
Birth rate: +0.5% annually
Nominal GDP (2024): 17,411,000,000
Unemployment rate: 5-20% (not known for sure do to information restriction from North Korea, I'll go with 10%)
Energy self-sufficiency (as percentage): 89%
Key electricity sources (mention share of each): 86% coal, 2% hydropower, 2% other
Key natural resources: Coal, Iron Ore, Non-knitting textiles

~Military Affairs~
Active personnel: ~1.5 million
Reserve personnel: ~0.6 million, but I'll bump it up to 1.0 million for 2024.
Military aircraft (count): 940 in 2014, probably 1,000 in 2024
Navy vessels (differentiate surface and subsurface vessels): 560 surface, 501 subsurface
Military funding (USD per year): 10.4 billion USD annually
Doctrine (see notes, above): Superior Firepower, but would use techniques of Force Projection first.

~Strategic Warfare Resources~
Nuclear technology (yes or no): yes
Nuclear bombs (number): 30 by 2024 under current production rate
Nuclear power plants (total power output): 1.24 gigawatts
Bio-weapon capabilities (yes or no): yes, limited
Delivery systems (how to get bomb from point A to point B): short, medium, and long-range missiles fired from subs, planes, and missile silos, bombers, placement by infiltration (a suicide bomber enters the target area and detonates the bomb, usually from a truck; works best in large cities with moderate to little security)

~History~
Between 2015 and 2024, North Korea's relations with the US and her allies became increasingly tense, almost erupting into war several times. However, through diplomacy, North Korea has managed to keep the capitalist pigs (I actually have nothing against capitalists IRL) off of it. Under the ruling fist of Kim Jong-un, the nation has increased its nuclear stockpile greatly, and now is a major threat to peace. In 2016, Kim Jong-un's son, Kim Il-Sung II, was born. He is being trained to become the next ruler of North Korea, or, hopefully, all of Korea. North Korea's supplies of steel are running low, and it has its eyes on North Africa. The Oil crisis of 2021 hit North Korea especially hard, since Crude Oil is its top import. However, with its coal, it managed to move past the event without too much damage. But North Korea hungers. Its coal stocks will not last forever. Most officials believe that the coal supply will not last another twenty years before it sinks to dangerously low levels. With Kim Jong-un sick and getting worse, still without having seen a united Korea or the burning of his enemies, there is only one way to go: South. The Minister of War, the temporary heir to the seat of power, has vowed to make North Korea a world power and spread communism around the globe, preferably before the Supreme Leader dies. Peace, once such a sure thing, is looking very fragile.

Aren't we like in an oil crisis right now? Not to metagame, but wouldn't it be more prudent to be conservative with your oil, and use it for things that have more of an impact on your region, as opposed to altruism?

Well, as a member of BRICS, I believe I have access to Brazilian and Russian oil. Obviously not for free, but like preferential access to buy said oil.

Not good, not bad. But with the industrialization of the country standards of living will get better in the future, many years from now.

Also, Nigeria has a navy?

Edit: Apparently it does. Not a large, or particularly effective navy, but it is a navy.

Okay, 25

Still. From what I've gathered, Nigeria's territorial waters extend out to 12nm, so around 15 miles.
