It's 1936 the so called war that ends all wars is long over, but it seems like a another one is about to start. Tensions all over Europe are starting to rise. As one French filed marshal Ferdinand Foch at Versailles put it ''this is not peace this is an armistice for twenty years''

Re-occupation of Rhineland has happened which has lowered Germany's neutrality.

Pavel Novotný was overseeing the construction of the so-called "Heavy Elements." The first few of what was to be very many such elements.

Magnificent things. Boxes of concrete hidden behind mounds of dirt covered the entire Silesian frontier. Nobody was going to roll over this line anytime soon. That was true even of the Polish Army, should they come knocking. The fifty-thousand strong German Army wouldn't so much as stand a chance.

Of course, there were chronic budget problems to worry about. The State declared that this section of the border was the most critical and so this section of the border was prioritized for the heavy elements.

If only Beneš would approve more funds! Within a year, they could make the entire German border (and the Hungarian one too!) completely impenetrable.

The clock sounded. Time for lunch break, it seemed. The workmen came trudging back. Pavel began to hand out food packets. Delicious things they must be, given the way the workmen hungrily devoured the contents of the packages.

Alas, Beneš and his administration counted money like a miser. Doling out just enough to keep the constructions from outright stopping. Could he not understand that, after Hitler's reckless abandonment of the Versailles Treaty and his illegal rearmament of the Rhineland, that there was nothing, absolutely nothing, left to stop Hitler from recreating the massive two million men strong army of the Second Reich?

New Panzer's are being constructed for the Wehrmacht, they will be ready in 1937 August.
Training of new recruits for the army will end at 1938 and will be three million well trained and well equipped troops.

The current Prime Minister was in a meeting with the members of his cabinet. The elections had been delayed from the previous year to March of this one. The current Leftist alliance was hanging on a fine thread, knowing that should any slip ups occur, even if it wasnt their fault, the Centre-Right alliance would take over. An idea to play on the fear of the Germans was proposed. It was not completely unfounded, French intelligence agents had reported that Germany had begun rearming itself. This plan would definitely score points amongst the militarist faction, always spoiling for a fight. There were also fears of the Britons, the old nemesis of the French. But they had lost an empire, and on their island, the Prime Minister hoped that they would be content with their remains. The ministers finally agreed to mobilize a portion of the French forces along the border in Alsace-Lorraine, an area hard-won from the Germans in the last Great War, in hopes of deterring any possible attempts of invasion. The Germans still owed the French reparations, and if they would not pay, the Rhineland would be taken as compensation.

The plans for Africa were also discussed. The old British territories were ripe for the taking. New French schools were being built throughout the France's lions share of the continent and military conscription was mandatory for all locals who wished for full citizenship, regardless of gender. French newspapers and pamphlets were given out to promote the usage of French amongst the locals and to build up solidarity amongst the many races of French Africa. French North Africa was the model for the other territories; Francophone, Francophile, and ready to serve the empire.

Mosley's Invitation to Hitler


Sir Oswald Mosley has wrote an official letter to Adolf Hitler inviting him to the Union of Britain and Ireland. He hopes this will bring the nations closer together as they both wish to restore the glory of Germany against the oppressive allies in France and India who would ruin the great nations and the ideologies. This will bring the Brownshirts and the Blackshirts closer together. He would also like Hitler to give a speech on the ideology and how they can both strengthen their nations.

The Sino-Japanese War still rages on

Despite all attempts to make a peace treaty with Japanese. The only issue that is arising is who will gain control over Korea. With both sides demanding full control over Korea. Fighting will carry on until either Japan or China falls at this rate, unless a larger power can prevent this from happening and somehow manage to force a treaty between the two of the nations and their lusts for power over the Korean Region.

The war with the Nationalists was over. They were crushed due to lmass support for the Popular Front, with their support coming from some generals, the royal family and clergy. Fransisco Franco was executed for numerous war crimes. The royal family was ousted in a referendum. Furthermore, this proved to be the perfect opportunity for moving further to the left and establishing a socialist system with anarchism and communism a core part of the new government which had mass support due to defeating the fascists.
Manuel Azaña had been elected President of Spain and had established a system to meet everyone's demands. While Spain would continue to be united, Catalonia and Aragon would be run by a coalition between CNT and POUM. Already anarcho-syndicalism was on the rise and the system CNT/FAI had introduced in Barcelona was presented along Catalonia and Aragon. They had a separate anthem as well, the popular anarchist anthem "A Las Barricadas".
Andalucia and Valencia would be run by the PSOE with a communist system being introduced as well and the workers much like Catalonia and Aragon, seizing the means of production for their country and not foreigners' interests.
Manuel Azaña was pleased as everyone was united in diversity. The country was run by a council between the parties which comprised the Popular Front and their heads.
The world was heading for war and everyone knew that. Manuel had consulted with the National Council and had decided to send requests for an alliance to the Eurasian Communist Union and France.

Conclusion to Sino-Japanese War

Following long talks between the two Emperors a final conclusion has been drawn over the Korean lands and peace has been settled. Qing will be taking the north of the Korea while Japan takes the south. The end of the war resulted in a massive military parade in Beijing before half of the army were dismissed from active duties. More guards have been placed on the Sino-Ruso and Sino-Japanese boarders to keep the peace and prevent further conflict.
