I say we do a nationwide (USA) faction thing, not just the American Southwest. Because I would really like to RP as the Dixie Confederation.

If I'm honest, I don't think we should make this a full-blown faction RP. OUTBREAK is, and should remain, a character focused RP with faction elements. I feel like us taking control of entire armies would make character and story development near impossible.

That's just my thought, but I'll leave it up to Bei, seeing as he's OP.

Alright, know first that any country having survive through this will be primarily isolationist, so don't expect reinforcements. But feel free to try making contact. Here's a rough estimate of how I assume the world to be.

Europe and Asia were hit hard. Britain would effectively be wipe out as would the interior countries. Iceland and Scandinavia still retain functioning governments but have essentially become police states to a degree to protect themselves from outside infection. Russia has pockets of functioning governments but has largely collapsed into various independent states, none of which are major players in their section of the world.

China and India annihilated once another, with neighboring countries being adversly affected by the fallout. Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia, and Pakistan are essentially gone.

The Middle East and Africa have largely fallen as urban areas were consumed. More rural areas have largely been successful in staying alive but are unable to fully support themselves with the sudden influx of refugees. The same can be said of Australia.

Most small island nations have survived though not those with booming tourism.

Alaska attempted to reorganize itself around Anchorage but without outside supplies this state quickly fell.
