She'd need refueling. Why not a Nimitz? The Essex class was great and is iconic, but the Nimitz is, in a word, badass.

I'd like to think that since he was a college student, that maybe some intelligence carried over, and he was a would-be sleeper reaver. Only a local would've been able to see through the facade. That and the motel wasn't too far from the University of Dubuque, so she would know that the university was vacated when the Mississippi flooded.

I like looking at the city maps and planning around real world locations ^^

Same here. All the small towns Hugh is going through are real and their descriptions IC parallel their real layouts. And I am using the Truman's real strike group as its fleet.

I'm down. I'll RP the captain of a support ship, the USS Normandy. It's a cruiser stationed at Naval Station Norfolk. I figure the air craft carrier will need at least 1 support ship.

Everyone seems interested in a spinoff of OUTBREAK. I could always get something up and running no problem, but shouldn't we wait for the current RP to come to a close first?

Of course. We already have enough OUTBREAK to RP with. On the subject, I actually had another spinoff idea where players are astronauts aboard the ISS when the outbreak silences the surface.

Honestly anything is possible. We could spinoff merely another locale and what happened there. ISS would be interesting but wouldn't allow for a large cast (unless there was those groundside trying to reestablish a link).

Oooh, I like that idea. Mien godt, we could turn OUTBREAK into an entire franchise. We've already got a book in the making, I found out my uncle has a friend in hollywood he might be able to talk to about this, but probably not, and we're already talking spin offs.

I was originally planning a Boston spinoff, but I think it'll end up in a good place to stop once the RP ends. If it ends.
