Small Town that is rather typical from outside appearance, not so typical if your a resident.

Places of Interest
Some interesting Places in town;
Mortica's Private
Image
Originally an all girl's school MP became Co-ed two years ago. The school caters to the ghoulish, monstrous, and special. Generally anyone who would have a hard time at the normal school due to stigma concerning Monsters. Located on a hill, what began as an old Victorian home has expanded into two dorms (one for the boys and one for the girls), with unsegregated classes being held in the main house. Gillmen, Mummies, Vampires, and Werewolves are all said to attend with the school's max capacity at 24 students, and it's average enrollment at 12 students. During Halloween the school opens it's doors as a fun house planned, and ran by the students as a fund raising event, and to build trust between them, and the humans. It gets a few visitors every year, most coming from out of town.

  • Headmaster Creak: Head of the School, though not it's owner, Headmaster Creak is a Warlock who attended the school back when her lady Morticia ran the establishment. He began his career at the school as a Drama instructor though he now teaches literature along side his duties as Headmaster.

Ron's
Image
A Soda shop & Ice Cream Parlor Ron's is a place where the young folk tend to hang out when not at the Pizza joint. Pop and Ice Cream being cheaper then a full meal. Ron's is a hang out place for with the majority of business coming in during Summer. Ron's also serves burgers, fries, and corn-dogs though such isn't as commonly ordered as the rest of the menu, and thus always made fresh upon demand.

Woodview High

Where as Elemenary is taken in the neighboring town of Smitton Woodview prides it's self in a function Senior & Junior High which is home to the Woodview Whippoorwills, the local Baseball team though football is picking up in popularity.

Sunday Morning - The End of Summer

Postby Harbertia » Sun May 17, 2015 2:27 am

4:38 AM - Strumvitnir Residence
Janna Strumvitnir, the dirty blonde 40 something mother of three came down the steps into the kitchen of the family home when she stopped as the door slowly opened. Quickly Janna flipped a switch catching her 17 year old daughter. Janna gave her a firm look as she crossed her arms while leaning against the fridge; "I told you to start getting use to school time, it starts tomorrow."

"It's only one night." said Monica in a 'what's the big deal' fashion as she let a satchel drop next to the door.

Janna stopped leaning on the fridge, "One night that happens to be a day prior to school." Monica moved towards the steps that would lead to her room, but her mother Janna wasn't gonna just let her leave like it's nothing, "Your brothers would have stayed in."

Monica stopped thinking about how her brothers ran off, while she had stayed, and how despite this her mother still had the nerve to bring them up. "What ever."

"You get some sleep now," said Janna as she again leaned against the fridge, "You don't need to be falling asleep on the first day of school."

Monica said nothing as she continued up the steps to her room.

Woodview
Woodview was greeted with a grey sky that would, as usual, turn into a clear blue and white.

Blair yawned as she sat on the roof of a house. Whoes? She wasn't sure. She just sort of curled up here and fell asleep. She was comfortable enough sleeping anywhere, but she really prefered beds most of the time, although often humans would toss her out if they found her inside their houses. A few didn't, and they were her friends. It took a glass of milk, a bag of candy and a good nights rest on the foot of their bed to get Blairs friendship at most.

She decided to go for a wander. After all school doesn't start for a while and she could wander for a bit longer. She transformed into cat form, her clothes doing so too.

She had really explored. She had gotten chased away by a pack of dogs, though they were quite surprised when they found they had been hexed with a slipping hex. It was much amusement for the Neko. She then wandered and looked around for her other non Neko cat friends. They were pretty dumb, but they were fun. She didn't find them though unfortunately.

She eventually made it to somewhere she had not been. She found exploring this new place looked nice, in the heart of nature and trees. It seemed the sun was shining and the birds were chirping... birds...

She wandered around in front of the house for a bit. Sniffing a few things but mostly just taking a look around.

Strumvitnir Residence
The door to the house opened as a black haired girl in boots wearing a black and red jacket with a hatchet at her side came outside, and closed the door. Her eyes seemed sensitive to the morning light as she sheltered her eyes while looking up into the tree tops as she made her way down the steps. Half way down the porch she noticed the black cat exploring the yard. She had not seen a cat this far out of town. Upon reaching she stopped before continuing figuring that the cat would leave as she approached as it was most likely feral.

Sun was just cresting through the window, enough to stab him right in the eye. Awaking with the roar of a dragon the boy rolled out of bed and closed the window, leaving the plush world of velvet and satin behind. In the dimly lit master bedroom that was upon the second floor of this manor he spent many a lonely night, well, used to. A knock came upon his door.

"A rapping, a rapping and a tapping upon mine chamber door? Who seeks me at this hour, might I ask?" He spoke buttoning up the white dress shirt that clung to his figure, it was a large enough size that it covered his mid thighs. "Juliett, sir, your breakfast is prepared. The weather is supposed to be sunny today, so I would suggest moderate clothes and a bottle of water." The boy did not smile once, just nodded his head, "Alright the, thank you Miss Juliett, I shall be right on down once I clothe." He stood behind a wood and paper divider near the closet and tossed his shirt over it and into a hamper of clothes as his silhouette could be seen pulling on a set of boxer shorts, another long white button up shirt, and pants. Stepping out he was in the same color an style shirt as before, with khakis, and sitting on his bed he pulled a pair of brown leather boots on. Grabbing his hat off a hanger by the door he put it around his neck by means of a leather rope like string anchored to the sides, and let it sit on his back.

"Morning, sir, you look dapper today." Juliett smiled at the boy, she had a distinctly British accent. "Juliett, you can just call e Robert or Rob, and thank ya; I was debating this or a blue one. I know it is not likely to rain, but I actually wanted to explore the old burned down church with the guys. They say Satanists offer praise and sacrifice to 'Lord Satan' in its remains." He laughed and said a small prayer before eating the omelet Juliett had made. "Just do be careful, still got that knife?" Robert nodded his head, "Course, never go anywhere without it. Anyone looks at me wrong and I will just give 'em a good old Texas liver tickle." She laughed at that, "Just don't go getting in fights at school or anywhere else unless you have to, you may be sixteen, but I am still twenty two and can pull the parental guardian card on you." The dark haired girl leaned down and kissed his forehead, "Have a good day at school, okay?" Robert blushed and pushed his chair back before standing up, "Yep, I will," he coughed into his hand, "headin' out now, see ya later. Anything happens today, you know where to find me."

Walking out the front door after grabbing his satchel and letting it rest against his right hip the boy walked on. He would head through town and meet up with the guys before going on to school. Ofcourse that would be awhile, the walk to town was probably a mile. So he would get there in fifteen to sixteen minutes.

"Huh?" The girl thought she heard something from the cat but a yawn interrupted her thoughts as she took her back hand to her mouth. The cat seemed to lack interest in the girl, which was perfectly fine with Monica who continued to walk right past the feline, and right to the kindling pile where she leaned over to the side of the cutting block and grabbed a wedge shaped wood slice in one hand, and in a way let it fall onto the block while still gripping it. She then unbuckled her hatchet and began splitting wedges as the first of the kindling process.

Blair was offended. Who the hell just ignores a talking cat like that!? She didn't even bother to investigate! How rude of her! She thought, she made a humph sound as she scampered away.

Blair frowned, slightly hurt. "What? I just went out to wander. Fell asleep on a roof and then got chased by dogs. Stupid dogs... Cmon you can't expect a cat like me not to wander." She replied. Then she gave a seductive smile. "What... are you jealous I'm sleeping on the edge of someone elses bed." She teased with a chuckle. She poked Rob just to emphasise her teasing. "Wow Rob, I didn't know you cared about me that way..."

Nothing like those boys you hang around with, speaking of, who are you with now? This makes what, asshole number four?" Rob grinned wickedly, he took every chance he got to tell Blair what he though of her choice in guys.

She replied. Then she gave a seductive smile. "What... are you jealous I'm sleeping on the edge of someone elses bed." She teased with a chuckle. She poked Rob just to emphasise her teasing. "Wow Rob, I didn't know you cared about me that way..."

"I just was worried. I thought you might be in danger. It is a guy's right to worry right?" Robert blushed and turned his head from her, he could feel the heat on his own cheeks. "I just like having you around is all. It is a lot less lonely with a cat in the house, I just like petting your cat, okay? You are cute when you nap... But I am only a small time farmer, right? Nothing like those boys you hang around with, speaking of, who are you with now? This makes what, asshole number four?" Rob grinned wickedly, he took every chance he got to tell Blair what he though of her choice in guys.

Blair rolled her eyes. "He's not like the other!" She replied with some passion. She never got why her friends hated her boyfriends. "His name is Tristain and he's an artist." She explained, crossing her arms while she floated on her broom. "He's a tortured soul who just needs my love and care..." She made a strange meowing sound and then a chuckle as she said that.

"Why do you hate all my boyfriends automatically? I mean Trevor wasn't so bad." She had found Trevor cheating on her with a werewolf chick after he had claimed she was the love of his life. "Johnny was... cool..." Johnny been close to running her over with his motorcycle. It was an accident, but after a few more close calls it became clear he didn't care for her safety and would actively endanger her every chance he got. "Craig was nice..." Craig was not nice. Craig was creepy, and that is all we will say on the matter.

Robert looked at her, "Blair, you are such an amazing witch. I mean, I can't count the times you have helped me. Your brews are always the best cure for my illnesses, and playing with your tail passes the time so nicely." Rob giggled and grabbed her tail, "Plus every time I do this you always get so angry, it is adorable. Please, take more pride in yourself? If you really need help in finding a guy I will help. I could find you a guy twice as handsome and five times the gentleman of your current brute. I know just the guy too, sweet little fella, human of course. He is well read, not too bad in the money department later," Robert paused for a breath, "Thomas of the Agriculture Club, I think you know him? Okay, so maybe this town only has assholes in it, but could you at least pick the less rotten of the apples?" On cue he pulled a red fruit from his leather satchel, eating the apple he noticed they were both running late.
"Oh dear, we are running rather tardy. I do not have the car today either... if only we had some sort of transportation, darn it."

Neither of us have helmets, plus do you even have a license?" Robert whispered in Blair's ear half afraid as their feet no longer were touching the ground.

"Relax Robin, the Catmobile is perfectly, 100% safe as long as I'm at the wheel." Blair looked back and said. She winked. "I've been doing this since I was just a little kitten, I know my way around a broom." She gripped the front of the broom and her smile widened and became mischievous. She spoke, the broom suddenly retreated backwards, and then shot upwards, high above the buildings. It zipped around Blair going on the route back to school. She was cackling maniacally as she rode forward.

OOC: Adam speaks in italics. If you don't like this or want it to be represented another way, please tell me

Cyrus Harrison double-checked his backpack, ran a hand through his hair, and locked his apartment. He didn't want to forget anything on his first day. Taking the steps two at a time, he ran down to the bottom floor of the apartment building. Checking his watch and making sure Isaa was safely in his pocket, Cyrus began walking to Woodview High School.

Just a moment after he had started, Cyrus's ghostly brother, Adam, appeared beside him. "Good morning!" the specter chirped. "Hey, Adam." Adam looked very similar to Cyrus, except he was a pale blue color and had a soft radiance. "So, high school, huh?" Cyrus sighted the school, just a few minute's walk away. "Yep. Hope it goes well." "Do you wanna do something after?" "Can't. I have to go to the lab after school." Cyrus interned at the robotics lab at Woodview Community College, and went there often. "Ugh. That's boring. Why don't we just skip?" "Because I need to make money, because unlike you, I can starve to death." Adam groaned, and Cyrus smiled. They walked in silence for a couple minutes, until the pair arrived at the gates of the school.

"Well, I'm here. You may want to lay low for a while, I don't want to look like the crazy kid who talks to air on my first school day in this town." Cyrus could see Adam because of the Nayi-Ahia, a golden band around his ankle. Nobody else could see or communicate with him, and Cyrus learned from experience that it's unwise to talk about your ghost brother around others.

Adam sighed. "Fine... See ya later." The specter rolled his eyes and faded away. Adjusting his backpack on his shoulders and taking a deep breath, Cyrus walked towards the school.

Inigo steps out the door and says goodbye to his parents. They don't respond. The door slams behind him, and he is off on his way to school. Honestly, he would much rather be working on his new robot, or conducting experiments than doing this. Ah well, gave him a chance to test out his new invention. Inigo takes a small robotic device from his backpack, and programs some coordinates into them. Now, if there was no one else on the sidewalk, and o other external factors, it should be fine. The little ball sputters off and slowly begins moving in the direction of the school. He would occasionally take out a small notebook to jot down how it was doing. As he walked, he saw a bird flying by overhead. Bluejay. He whistles and it lands on his hand. How interesting. A sudden thought crosses his mind to capture it and examine it. He quickly shakes off the thought. Why would he do such a thing? After writing down a note or two, he lets it go and it flies away. This data would be useful for the scientists he worked for. Plus, he was working on a project of mechanical animals. Inigo keeps walking cheerfully, feeling great.

It appeared that the robot had stopped. It had bumped into someone else. He stammers an apology out to the ghastly teen and continues on his way to school, happy as can be,
behold, a signature.

The cat noticed the slip, but thought nothing of it. She really didn't think she was good enough for Rob, and that he deserved someone more pure and less... her. Why would someone like Rob want to date a witch after all? Much less a cat witch. "Yeah, I'll give you a ride home if you want." She offered, smiling as she aimed the broom down at the school for a gentle decent, feeling his arms around her and his head on her shoulders nearly made her purr. "We're pretty much there." She spoke.

She spoke.

Robert looked at her, his face mere inches from hers, a space between them he had never noticed before, her smile was a heart breaker for sure; some how he did not mind at all. "What do you say we skip school today? We could literally do anything else on the planet, I am sure they'll understand." He found himself balancing her hand on the top of his own and just looking at the way her hand was compared to his own. "I feel like being a real bad dog today, going off leash could be fun." His relaxed smile turned to a more naughty and mischievous grin, "You know... Juliett is probably out getting groceries by now." He shocked himself back with that comment. Standing up and dismounting he apologized without looking her in the eye, how could he after something so vulgar? "Sorry, Blair, forgive me, that was rude and I must be going." He did not even run away, it was as if he vanished in the wind like dust through against a hard structure, and just vanished.
His friends had seen him with Blair as they walked up to the school.

One could find him in the boy's bathroom looking at a mirror as if expecting a monster to suddenly appear inside of it. "You devil, how could you? Supposed to be a gentleman... you just offered to skip school and have sexual relations with a girl who happily has a boy friend. You trash." Taking a good long look at the mirror revealed a more saintly figure in it than himself, he was turning into the monster and the guy on the other side was an angel. He slammed his fist into the mirror, it broke into shards and fragments just as David and Arthur walked in, they found Robert with a bleeding fist.

"So, you and Blair- Good God, Rob, what did you do man?" Arthur smelled the human blood and had to step aside and look at the bathroom wall while David used water and soap to clean the cuts and bandage them with toilet paper and paper towels. "Mind explaining?" Rob sat on the counter and explained what he had done while Arthur lit a cigarette and David chewed tobacco.

"Are you serious? That explains why anyone that was out front just erupted in all sorts of rumors. Dude... they are saying you two secretly have met up at your house and done the nasty! Other have proof of seeing her at your place." Robert could not deny that at all actually, well her staying over, not they "doing the nasty thing" that he was rather clueless of the meaning. "Your secret is safe with us, but, bro, you are human. She is a witch. That would be on the same level of bad as you fu-" David remembered that Robert did not care for swearing in front of him, "having sex with a vampire or a werewolf. She could possibly turn you into something with her potions if you piss her off." Robert laughed, "If her potion making is anything like her cooking a have nothing to fear. Witches make pretty good soup, well at least this one does."

"I'd watch your mouth about stuff like that though, I bet what's his face- the artist, wants to make a Picasso of your face once this gets back to him." David looked at Robert, "That is the thing, 'round here we don't worry much about fights as we all know who would win- you are a human though. You have no weaknesses based on what you are aside from being normal. I will get some dirt on the guy, if he is a wolf too I can get you some bane and silver, the silver will still work if he is a vamp too, but you will need garlic then- the a-holes are allergic to it real bad." Arthur nodded his head, "I can vouch for that, closes up our throats, five minutes without treatment and you are dead. I have a pen thing you can stab in my leg though, most don't. Wait, Dave, what if he is a ghost, you got salt? Oh, never mind, cafeteria does. I could get a fire going pretty easy too. Don't worry, Rob, if a fight breaks out you got us on your back." Robert pulled out his switchblade, "I got this thing too. Though I technically am not supposed to." Arthur and David bolt felt hair rising on their necks, "That is some serious mojo voodoo juju, Rob, where did you get that thing?" He told them the story.

"Excalibur? No wonder you are here, Hell, we won't need to send back up- we will need to send an ambulance- a hearse if they aren't fast enough. You know what that thing does to guys like all us? Just keep it in your pocket, that thing would probably get you expelled, but the headmaster probably knows you have it or else you would not be here. Well, welcome to the social experiment then." The three friends all laughed and talked more about how their mornings had been so far.

Cyrus paused mid-step when he felt a small bump against his shoe. Looking down, he saw some kind of small, spherical drone repeatedly smacking itself against his sneaker. He started to bend down to pick it up, when he heard a voice. Looking up, Cyrus saw a teenager standing a few yards away, apologizing profusely. He raised an eyebrow, but the teenager had already moved on into the school.

Thinking how strange that was, Cyrus examined the ball at his feet. It was a metal sphere about three inches in diameter, several blinking LEDs on various sides. He slipped the robot into his backpack, making a mental note to investigate it in more detail later, and entered the high school.
