Alright, that's a little too much to ask, I mean, I'd have no issue at all if the brother wasn't actually dead but like, his body was trapped in another dimension (like Alphonse from Full Metal Alchemist). I'm not even sure why the grandparents are dead.

Yeah, I may not have done the best job of explaining it. The Nayi Ahia basically just allows Adam to exist as a ghost, capable of seeing the world and having the tiniest influence on it (like if he focuses he can just barely push objects). Adam can only be seen by and communicate with Cyrus. That's basically all there is to that. Sorry if I made it overly complex

Can you provide me a kind of mock post with the characters here on this thread so that I may get an idea of Cyrus in this world. Like, him interning at the community college?

Like, just how I'd write for him? Or how he'd relate to other characters?

The grandparents are dead from the fire, just so Cyrus could be sent here. And, I had some big long idea about how the brother actually is in another dimension, like dead spirits go to one dimension that is unobservable to the mortal dimension, and the Nayi Ahia keeps the brother in a separate dimension. I figured, in a world where there are witches and jelly creatures, anything's possible.

Edit: ill do the post, it'd give me a good opportunity to get in the feel for this character

I really don't know how to explain this well, like the band keeps the brother in a certain dimension very close to ours, and also gives Cyrus the ability to see into that dimension.

You should add as you post on the IC, I'm not sure what to make of him, but I'm in that 'tell all come clean treat well start fresh' moods that tells me that he's perfectly fine.

I may make a character that is a wizard, but outcast from his group.
Two questions:
1: Can a wizard focus on one type of magic (such as fire)
2: Can basic spells be cast through thought (this has been in many books, like eragon I think, we're talking so basic like making just a cold breeze, those kinds of spells)

1. Yes they can have their specialization while still having the ability to branch out if they so desire.
2. No, because we often think before we reason which means that if thought was all that was needed then the area around someone with such magic would be chaotic. More then thought is needed.
