NS Nation Name: The Nuclear Fist, AKA the One True Mack Daddy Wu Tang Clansman.
Clan Name: Clan Commyn
Clan Banner: Tartan of the MacCommyn clan
Description of Clan: Clan Commyn is the paramount clan of Caelish, the folk that populate the Gaellic region. Clan Commyn trace their origins to Roger the Red, an explorer of sorts who would ultimately lead a warband against the rival MacDaegal clan, decisively defeating them and taking for themselves the small wooden longhouse atop Commyn Hill. His son, Roger the Builder tore down the damp, driftwood longhouse and built a proper keep of stone, named Blackhall. Since the beginning of the reign of Angus MacCommyn thirty-five years previously, Clan Commyn has slowly risen in power and status, making allies of amiable clans and making extinct rivals. Under Angus, Clan Commyn has reached the zenith of its power, having united all the Caelish clans under their banner.
Description of Head of Clan: Angus MacCommyn, known better as Angus the Cael to foreigners, is the chieftain of Clan Commyn, and the self-styled Lord of the Caelish. Though only on the low end of average height for a Cael, he is as broad as any two burly men together, with a barrel chest like a plow horse and arms like tree trunks. Though fifty, Angus remains a hard man, a slab of muscle with only the slightest touches of grey in his wild mop of fiery hair and massive, braided beard. Though slow to anger, Angus is terrible in his wrath, and when roused is unwilling to be dissuaded from invoking the most terrible of atrocities upon those who gained his ire.

Angus has had to fight constantly to achieve his position as Lord of the Caelish, and it has extinguished much of the flame in his heart. He aspires towards civilization, founding a kingdom of his quarrelsome peoples to rival all the other realms. However, he knows that before any such dream could begin to be realized, he would have to bring his enemies to heel, and sate the lust for conquest and plunder the clans have garnered. Thus, somewhat reluctantly, he has put the massive Caelish horde on a war footing, looking toward Royeg with hateful eyes.
Description of Relevant House Members: Angus MacCommyn is the most important of all the members as its chieftain and strongman. Other prominent members are:

Hexilga MacCommyn, aged forty-eight, the wife of Angus. She is, much like most Caelish women, tall and broad, with fiery red hair and a matronly air about her. Also like most Caelish women, she is a fine warrior, though more suited to the bow than the claymore.

Aoghen, age twenty-five, eldest son of Angus. Aoghen is a thin, wiry man with close cropped hair and a thick moustache. Though less temperamental than his father, Aoghen has something of a reputation for rashness, being far more likely to attack outright than commit to any sort of plan, unlike his father.

Brannog, aged twenty, youngest son of Angus. Brannog is everything his elder brother is not. Peaceable, where Aoghen is quarrelsome. Scholarly and considerate, where Aoghen is brazen and rash. Diplomatic, where Aoghen is violent.

Cadha, aged eighteen, daughter of Angus. She, like her mother, is tall and broad, more so than her father but less so than eldest brother, which in turn would make her larger on average than women from the rest of Bretonnia, and even many of the men. At the same time, though, she is considered to be somewhat pretty, with a lean face and sharp features like her mother, instead of the heavy, square ones of the male Commyns.

Seat of Power: Blackhall, a large stone structure halfway between a castle and a longhouse, which sits atop a large rocky hill in the central Gaillic highlands.

Realm Number: Six.
Realm Name: The realm itself is called Gaillic by foreigners, though natives know it as Cael.
Realm Description: Geographically, the Cael is divided up between the Highlands and the Lowlands. The Lowlands are to the north and west, a land a sloping hills and prairie. The Highlands are to the center and southeast, dominated by steep hills and small mountains and covered in thick forest. The temperatures are generally warm and wet, approaching tropical. The lowlands have only a few villages, with most clans being nomadic and following herds of sheep and wild cattle in great horseback hordes. The highlands have more villages, often packed close together, and some of the wealthier ones would not be out of place in the 'civilized' northern lands.
Capital City: Caelsynne
Population: Two hundred thousand.
Majority Religion: Druidism
Description of the people and culture: The Caelish are a hard nosed, hardy race, quarrelsome and lacking respect for authority. Unlike their more 'civilized' neighbors to the north, the Caelish will not follow a man just because his father was ruler, and will not deny a woman leadership because she is not a man. The Caelish can only be ruled by the strong and the capable. The people follow a traditional religion, worshiping the nature around them as gift from their gods, and offering sacrifices to them for their favor. Animal and human sacrifice remain common amongst the Caelish, with a class of priests called druids conducting religious rites and acting as advisers to clan chieftains.
Description of Economy (Include major imports/exports): The Caelish have a very traditional economy, based mostly on fishing and grazing. There is little trade with outsiders, and is mostly for finer goods like steel. It could be said that the Caelish are poor, in that they lack the many fanciful goods of the other realms, though it would be wrong to assume they are poverty stricken barbarians.
  • Exports: Horses, meat, iron, and, perhaps most importantly, precious gems and gold.
  • Imports:
Armor, weapons, steel, foodstuffs, wine, luxuries, salt.
Major Cities (max six): Caelsynne, Caeolac, Tyrre, Terthe, Alastyraeoeche
Major Citadels/Fortresses (max six): Blackhall, Stonehold, MacDaelga, Hex

Military Description: The Caelish are, by and large, a highly militant people. For all time clan warfare has been endemic, with near constant raids and wars. Thus, almost all men and many women have some proficiency with the sword and shield. In the lowlands, the people are nomadic, with entire villages up and moving when the great grazing horde of cattle and horses exhaust the supply of feed in one area. Entire clans live and die on horseback, and are nearly unparalleled as light cavalry archers and heavy lancers. The highlands make maneuvering cavalry and men harder, and thus horses are much less prevalent. Highlanders wear heavier armor and wield spears and swords, with wealthier clans outfitting their men with the claymores that the Caelish are famous for throughout the continent.

At sea, the Caelish mostly fight on small longships called birlinns with twelve to fifteen oars each. Though they are far quicker and more maneuverable than the heavier warships of the civilized realms, birlinns cannot fight the heavier galleys on their own, and in naval combat rely more on outrunning and outmaneuvering enemy ships, peppering them with arrows and boarding them. Where the Caelish birlinn excels is in raids, where its speed and maneuverability, as well as small size, make it excellent at committing lightning strikes against coastal settlements, and even up rivers.

Strengths/Weaknesses:

Strengths:
-Very large, capable of bringing to bare large forces in short order
-Speed and maneuverability, able to evade and tire enemy forces
-Large cavalry forces mixed with relatively heavy infantry allow for good hammer-and-anvil tactics
-Cavalry and longships make the Caelish hordes very good at raids and lightning strikes

Weaknesses:
-Lack of professionalism: the Caelish are warriors and not soldiers, with each fighting for their own glory and for their own clan, and are largely unable to conduct sophisticated attacks
-No siege equipment: the Caelish rarely commit to sieges, largely preferring instead to sack all the lands around a settlement and put their populations to the sword as a way to draw out of the enemy army.
-Lack of a formal command structure: Warbands are made up entirely of clans. Chieftains will lead their household troops into battle, and are at severe risk of quick disarray when their chieftain falls.
-Reliance on plunder: The Caelish hordes rely on plunder to keep their troops fed and content. A horde will slowly bleed away back to Cael if the clans in it don't see immediate reward.
-Very few fortifications

  • Total Numbers
  • Navy:

1,500 men spread across one hundred birlinns.
  • Army:

Eighty thousand warriors spread across a five hundred clans.

Everything Below is optional:
RP Sample: viewtopic.php?p=19525610#p19525610

Apps are still open right?

Character App
NS Name: Ihurantshia
Character Name: Aiden Trevan
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Image
Biography/Background: Originally born to the minor noble house of Trevan, a young Aiden was the sole survivor of an attack by an ambitious rival family that left his family destroyed. Rescued by a passing hedge knight who would later become his mentor, he learned the ways of sword and shield rather than the scheming and politics of a nobleman's life. Aiden now finds himself fallen on times considered hard even for the life of a traveling warrior, but news of the chaos in the south and the rise of a new militant faith promise to provide ample need for fighting men such as himself.
Personality: Despite his mercenary like life, Aiden is still driven by the knightly image of a chivalrous warrior fighting for justice and righteousness. He thinks little of the noble life he left behind, remembering very little, relating to his fellow warriors and knights far more than any nobleman. His travels have caused him to look upon the feudal system with disdain, where too many times he has seen a more noble peasant beneath the boot of a cruel lord. Although he considers himself an adherent of the Trinity he could not be described as a religious man nor one driven by faith.
Equipment: His only belongings are his horse, sword and shield although he also carries a dagger for 'emergencies'.
Strengths: Skilled Swordsman although far from the best, comfortable fighting with or without a shield, can sympathize with the thoughts and fears of the small-folk far better than most.
Weaknesses: His sense of honor has caused him to miss out on many well paid commissions and made him enemies among more unscrupulous nobles.
Theme Song: Not sure what this means
RP Sample: This will be my first so i'm afraid i don't have one

The End of the Empire. The year is 612 of the new era. Christians use the Anno Domini era though.

Character Name: Pompier Xeries
Age: 23
Gender:Male
Image:ImageBut he has a hood as well
House, if any:N/A
Personality: Loyal to those who hire him, he is extremely tactical and a realist. But his love of money and well obtaining knowledge on people has lead him to no boundaries. This meaning he will do what ever it takes to gain and complete his objection. He at times is arrogant over his abilities which tends to get thrown out at tavern when he starts a fight.
Biography/Background:Pompier was a son of servants at a local knights house until that knight was killed by an assassin. Pompier had the luck to run into the assassin as he killed the knight. So instead of killing Pompier the assassin took Pompier with him of course after knocking him out. The man who Pompier later became to know was Fred Yhurstic, a well known spy and assassin for hire. Which of course only Pompier knew his name, but from the age of 13 Pompier trained under his mentor and at the age of 17 he had his trial he had to spy on a knight who was plotting a coup in a province and then kill him. Everything went off without a hitch until he had to kill the knight, Pompier hesitated for a second and the knight saw him. Which lead to a fight in which Pompier received a cut on his upper arm, lucky Pompier was taught to fight dirty and threw a near by torch at the knight then as the knight was focused on the torch Pompier kicked the man in the balls and slit his throat quickly grabbing any important looking documents and then quickly exiting the manor while being chased by the guards.

Strengths:quick on his feet, tactical, well trained and versatile
Weaknesses: Over confident, alcoholic and small build
Theme Song:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pf8CuLIOCwc
Other:N/A
RP Sample: Pompier was sitting in the cool autumn air, it was dark not even the moon's shine was coming through the clouds. Which was exactly what he was hoping for, he had been tasked with stealing documents of a lords rival and then bring it to him. Though he had a time limit to do this, he had to turn the papers into the man who hired in within the next five days. Pompier wanted to get the papers yesterday, but his shadow gave him away the first time he tried it and now the whole manor was on alert. Guards were patrolling the whole area and it looked like lord had hired some mercenaries to bolster his guards numbers. Damn, this whole place smells of shit and piss. But now this guy hires mercenaries, now that is just over the top. I guess my client wasn't at truthful as I had thought. This lord had some money and that wasnt a good thing, if I am here I might as well steal some stuff for find a vault and steal some coins which would no doubt be heavily guarded. Then Pompier's thoughts were interrupted by the rustling of a bush, he slowly crept over to it and a bird flew out. He sighed and started to make his approach towards the manor.

NS Name: New Kratopolis
Character Name: Sir Richard Solomon "Backbiter" Hallick
Age: 34
Gender: Male
Image:
Image

House, if any: Formerly House Solomon
Personality: Calm, cautious, intelligent, slightly arrogant, prideful, a true penny-pincher.

Biography/Background:
Born and raised in Bismarck City, Richard Solomon's family was long the head of the House Solomon, one of the oldest - and wealthiest - houses in the whole realm of Victoria. They were often known for their political prowess and their support of the Bismark Empire. However, much of their power came from their militant branch, the Swords of Solomon, a clandestine paramilitary organization that used shady tactics to meet their goals, like bribery, interrogation, and often engagements in "profitable military intervention".

Richard, always an ambitious boy, was taught a variety of talents ranging from mathematics and economics, to military tactics, fencing, horse riding, and archery, often by Hallick Solomon, his Uncle, and the head of the Swords. Richard's father was often too busy to even meet his son, let alone train him. In this way, Hallick became more of a father to Richard than his own father, and together the two formed a strong bond.

As Victoria hit hard times, so did the House. Internal issues led to infighting, and when Richard was in his early twenties, his father was killed by an assassin's blade, though this didn't affect Richard much. Hallick, along with his nephew, took what was left of the House's wealth and deserted, the fractured Swords of Solomon with them. From then on they acted as Mercenary group, using previous tactics to obtain profit, mostly from corrupt officials, or those with issues that required "personal" attention. Overtime the organization grew, both in size and wealth, and started getting involved in the wars and conflicts of other nations, typically on the winning side. By the time Richard got to thirty, the Swords of Solomon had encompassed most of Bretton, and had influence across the globe.

Richard, already a formidable warrior, had long served next to his uncle, and felt he was ready to finally settle down somewhere. However, his future plans were washed away, when his now elder uncle was killed in a deal gone sour, and Richard was handed the torch of leadership. Using what he learned, he achieved revenge on his uncle's killer, and changed his surname to Hallick in his honor. Now, several years late, faced with the inevitability of war, which meant gold and opportunity, Richard Solomon Hallick would lead the Swords of Solomon into whatever fate or bloodshed seemed the most profitable.

Equipment: Wields a large silver broadsword that is sheathed on his back, two steel short swords, and uses a longbow carved from redwood at range.
Strengths: A brilliant tactician, Richard has a knack for strategy, and often uses the enemy's position against them. While in the heat of battle, he keeps a calm mind and stays focused on his surroundings for the sake of survival. Trained personally by his uncle, Hallick Solomon, Richard also excels in hand to hand combat, and holds the record in his group for the most kills with a bow.
Weaknesses: Despite his excellence at combat and his intellect, he's a worthless case when gold gets involved. Richard tends to wade into tense situations when a large sum is proposed, and while his talent on the field solves most problems, other times his arrogance have resulted in high casualties and even higher refunds.

Nation Name: New Kratopolis
Guild Name: Officially the "Swords of Solomon", but also goes by "Richard's Riders", and quite unofficially "Hallick's Folly"
Head of Guild: Richard Hallick
Function of Guild: Mercenary/Sellsword
Strengths: With massive numbers, and an awful lot of gold, the Swords of Solomon are able to do mostly whatever they please with little intervention. Surprisingly well disciplined and organized, the men of the Swords are able to respond to a number of specialized "requests", ranging from assassination, security, even war on occasion. They have some of the best cavalry in the whole of Bretton, earning them the moniker of "Richards Riders".
Weaknesses: Quite alike to Richard himself, many agents will rush into dangerous or deadly situations if enough gold is in hand. Because of their size, training and discipline can be difficult. This occasionally leads to high mortality rates when inexperienced agents or armies engage in their "requests". Even though they could afford it, they lack a navy, preferring to use boats only to travel outside of Bretton, while on assignments overseas.
Wealth: As their organization grew, so did their wealth. With their hands in the pockets of many, a deep connection in the criminal underworld, as well as a number of grateful donations from their "benefactors", the Swords of Solomon are able to buy virtually anything they require, whether it be tomorrow's dinner, or one of the dukes of Ghondra.
Military: About 40,500 men total, the majority of them centered in Bretton.
15,000 horsemen armed with a combination of swords, spears, and bows.
20,000 soldiers and swordsmen, scattered in regiments across Bretton, most at 1,000 each
5,000 individual agents, people specialized in specific tasks.
500 hedge knights, personalized in tasks that require Richards "Personal Attention". Richards Riders

Once the Empire fell, so did much of the House.

Great thanks. I'll get started on my intro right away.
Say, you wouldn't mind if I had Richard hunt down Paul the Holy (likely on a contract from someone within Trinity) would you? I know he's another character, but if you guys want him alive, it could turn into some sort of rivalry.
Anyway, if anyone wants their characters to come into contact with Richard tell me.
