Basically, what Cristo said above you. You've pretty much got to save that post for later on, after you prepare for the coup. A coup would be completely unsuccessful without preparation, and weapons are quite expensive.

I'm not sure what you mean here. The army is a real force.

I intend to make it very powerful like give it up to 9% GDP or even more.

As a result of the small GDP and the military's utterly ridiculous size in comparison to the population it has to for the most part achieve the bulk of it's funding from the president's own fortune. Think about that before you do anything rash for large numbers of the military are straight up mercenaries(contractors to be polite) and will not exactly be happy when their payment stops.

That does not contradict what I said at all. Specifically that has nothing to do with what I am referring to which is the power of sub-national Divisions in comparison to the Central government which in a unitary state is rather vertical with the central government being ultimately supreme and any administrative divisions (sub-national units) exercising only powers that their central government chooses to delegate. In contrast to a federation like say the USA. A commonwealth is basically just a synonym for a republic with the definition being for a community founded for the common good.
