Would you be Co-OP, Terrelis as Neo-Chicago is an ex-nation?
I'd be OP since the other two are gone

I would be interested.
Will it be a complete reboot or would the events that occurred in this and the other iterations with the three states have happened?
Just looked at some older posts and we had, sort of the same conversation, almost exactly a year ago, xD.

That, perhaps, is the best way to go as quite some time has passed and new people will be more attracted to a completely new world, rather than one with three previous threads.
This was a very good RP and I hope that the reboot works well.
Will it be at the same place and same time or change locations and years?

Here's my idea:
February 2001 - Group of Billionaires move to Bir Tawil, they sign an agreement with the Sudanese and Egyptian governments to maintain control of the territory.
March 2001 - The founders open the border to a s elect group of American workers to begin building infrastructure. Population reaches 5,000.
October 2006 - Jamestown is completed though relatively small.
December 2006 - Founders open borders to corporations, and only tax them 3.5% with a minimum wage of $5/hour. Population reaches 15,000.
May 2007 - Jamestown is expanded. Founders come to an agreement with the Egyptians and Sudanese to attain control of the Hala'ib triangle, construction on new city in Hala'ib begins. More workers invited, population reaches 35,000.
January 2011 - New city is completed; named Oasis.
January 2011 - Constitution is established; James Andrews is elected president unopposed. The first senate is also elected with Xavier King as Speaker. The country is named the Republic of Columbia.
March 2011 - After the passing of basic laws, majority of which were authored by Senator King, the government votes to open the nations borders. Majority of the immigrants come from Africa and the middle east, as well as American minorities; Caucasians become the countries minority race. Population reaches 150,000.
January 2012 - Population reaches 465,000. Columbia is recognized by the United States, Canada, and France. A gorup African-Americans found a new community called Freetown in Southwest Hala'ib. Three new cities are approved by the government; one in Bir Tawil and two in Hala'ib.
July 2012 - Deadly sandstorm kills nearly 1,000 people; Andrews does little in relief efforts.
January 2013 - James Andrews is defeated in the presidential race by Xavier King; Progressives lose Senate to Pioneers.
November 2014 - Communist Terrorist group calling themselves the Peoples Front, led by a man who goes by The General (Dunn), launches an attack at a sporting even and kills 432 people.
January 2015 - King narrowly wins re-election, Pioneers garner even higher majority and National Civic Faction gain more seats as well. Largest sum of corporate donation in Columbian history, nearly all of which went to Pioneer candidates.
June 2015 - Private schools are legalized, limitation on firearm purchases are relaxed.
August 2016 - Two of the governments approved cities are completed: Plymouth (Bir Tawil) and New Havana(Hala'ib) are completed. Population reaches 1.2 Million.
January 2017 - Dakota Douglas wins the Presidency, Pioneers maintain large senate majority. Corporate donations reach a new high, once again in favor of the Pioneers.
April 2017 - Corporate tax is lowered to 2.3% and flat tax of 10% is instituted.
September 2017 - Freetown reaches a population of 163,000; government fails to recognize it as an official city. African Americans outraged.
January 2018 - Military funding is increased while Education and Healthcare are decreased.
February 2018 - National Healthcare Act is repealed.
May 2018 - Largest city in Columbia is completed on the shores of the red sea, city named Kingston after its primary donor. Population reaches 1.9 Million.
January 2019 - Douglas wins re-election; Pioneers lose seats, but maintain majority, while Progressives and NCF gain seats; Peoples Front sets fire to the Progressive headquarters 134 people are killed.
January 2020 - Several candidates announce their bid for election, and the Pioneers are projected to lose their majority in the 2021 election. Population reaches 2.45 million, as annual immigration limits are instituted, no more than 175,000 annually; illegal immigration is on the rise.
We'd start off in January 2020 with the campaigns for president and senate.

Seems pretty good. Do you think the high attention to detail could turn some people off or not?
I have some suggestions and questions, though.
1)I do believe that it would make more sense if the terrorist group you mention would be more rightist, as it is also led by General Dunn and it isn't like communist terrorist groups are very prevalent since the fall of the Eastern Bloc.
2) At least for the RLUF, I was thinking that in this timeline they could have emerged from towns and cities with large percentage of students, Africans, immigrants and African-Americans and have some support in industrial areas. They could have started in universities and in the unrecognized towns of Columbia before moving on to a national level. What do you think?
Otherwise, this looks really good. I will be very interested to participate. It must attract new members, though. Only with quite some players could it work well.

Which cities/towns do you think the RLUF would be popular in?

Jefferson, Freetown and New Havana. Just adding Freetown if we are going for my idea for how RLUF started. Perhaps not having the majority, but more support there.
Also, I will tag the new thread. Do you have any idea of how to attract new members?
