A. A national military shall be established and called the Commonwealth Defense Forces; these forces shall be responsible for defending our nation from foreign threats;
B. The President shall be commander-in-chief and the Secretary of Defense shall be second-in-command;
C. The Defense Forces shall be comprised of two branches the Army and the Air Force; both led by Deputy Secretaries who shall be civilians appointed by the President and have no operational control;
D. The commonwealth army shall be responsible for all land operations of the military, and the commonwealth air force shall be responsible for all aeri al operations of the military;Secrion II
A. The military shall be organized into two operational command centers, the Commonwealth Defense Northern Command, responsible for military operations in the north, and the Commonwealth Defense Southern Command, responsible for operations in the south; both led by a Chief of Staff, a uniformed officer ranked Lieutenant General/Commander or General/Commander appointed by the President;
B. The Army Command of each operational center shall be divided into the following; Divisions, which shall consist of 3 or more brigades; brigades, which shall consist of 2 or more battalions; battalions, which shall consist of 2 or more companies; companies, which shall consist of 2 or more platoons; platoons, which shall consist of 10 squads; and squads, which shall consist of 5 soldiers;
C. The Air Force Command of each operational center shall be divided into the following; a wing, which shall consist of 2 or more groups; groups, which shall consist of 2 or more squadrons; and squadrons, which shall consist of 2 or more flight; flights, which shall consist of 6-10 aircraft and their crews;
D. The rank structure of the army shall be as follows from least to greatest in authority; Private, the entry-level rank; Sergeant, may lead squad; Sergeant Major, may lead a squad; Command Sergeant, leads a platoon; Lieutenant, may lead a platoon or 2-9 platoons; Captain, leads a company; Major; may lead a company or battalion; Colonel, may lead a company, battalion, or brigade; Brigadier General, leads a brigade; Lieutenant General, leads a division; and General, leads a command;
E. The rank structure of the Air Force shall be as follows from least to greatest in authority; Airman, the entry level rank; Lieutenant, a junior officer in a flight; Captain, a senior officer in a flight; Lieutenant Major, leads a flight; Major, may lead a flight or squadron; Colonel, may lead a squadron or group; Major Commander, leads a group; Lieutenant Commander, leads a wing; and Commander, leads a command;Section III
A. All citizens sixteen years and older shall be able to sign up for the defense forces without refusal, but they must pass a physical and mental aptitude test to be admitted into basic training;
B. Basic training shall last for 8 weeks; after basic training recruits will enter advanced Training for their specific branch, advanced training shall last 6 week;
C. After completing basic and advanced training soldiers will be assigned to an operations command center;Section IV
A. The content of the physical and mental aptitude test, basic training, and advanced training shall be established by the President;
B. The President, Deputy Secretary for the Army, and Deputy Secretary for the Air Force shall together write a code of conduct for the defense forces;
C. Soldiers may not be promoted before serving five years in their current rank, and may not be promoted more than two ranks above their current rank; this shall be waived for the first 100 trainees with the consent of the President;
D. The promotion of ranks beneath Colonel shall be at the discretion of the Chiefs of Staff; the promotion of ranks of colonel and above shall be at the discretion of the Deputy Secretaries with consent of the President; the president may promote any soldier they so desire;
E. The equipment used by the defense forces shall be at the discretion of the President with advice from the Secretary of Defense, Deputy Secretary for the Army, and Deputy Secretary for the Air Force;
F. Soldiers may be honorably discharged by their Chief of Staff or the President after 10 years of service or after receiving an injury making them handicap; soldiers may be dishonorably discharged for breaking the Commonwealth Defense Forces Code of Conduct, abandoning a battle without orders, or committing a crime;
G. The Commonwealth Defense Force shall be the official military of Columbia; all other military and paramilitary groups shall be considered illegal and their members considered to be committing treason;
H. The members of the "military" at the time of the passing of this bill shall have 72 hours to renounce their allegiance to that "military", and join the Commonweakth Defense Force if they so desire;
