But amazingly, she's had a crush on me for several years now (damn am I blind...), and she's been waiting patiently for me this entire time (I'm a romantic, and this really played with my heart strings). RIght now though, I am working with her parents to try and gain their approval. There are some issues that I won't talk about, but needless to say, if I am to date her (and hopefully marry her) it is going to be an uphill battle. I mean, we could go without their approval, but for various reasons (and I can assure you, they are actually good reasons), this would be our last resort, and I will do everything I can to avoid that.
As a result, I am working my tail off to make this work. Almost my entire free time is going to be spent with her, with her parents, and emailing and calling her. I'll do whatever I can to try and work this out, no matter how crazy it might seem to some. Because...I swear I am crying right now as I write this...She.Is.Worth.It. She is worth even more than the pain I may have, or the tedious talks, harsh conversations, hearing tons of BS, losing sleep, she's worth more than everything I could ever go through. And I will make this work.
It's never happened to me before. But...I held the most beautiful young lady to walk the face of this Earth in my arms as she poured out all her fears, worries, thoughts, depression, everything on me. And we cried together for a long time, because this will be difficult.
I'll make it work.
In the meantime, I'm not going to be active on NS for a little while. Hopefully this dark period ends soon, and I can resume a little more normal of a life. But until then, I'm putting things on hold.
If IJ and Rob still wish to keep things going on here while I am gone, I would be very happy and appreciative of that. But otherwise, I will see you guys once things are looking up for me.
