Synopsis
In the year 2020, the world continued as normal. Children were born, people died, wars were fought, laws were passed; nothing of extreme consequence occurred. However, Heaven was about to invade.
For many eons, god had been preparing his forces to destroy the world of men. Recently, mankind had successfully rebelled against his will, creating a world wherein god was seen as a dead relic from the past, a figurative tyrant created by primitive persons whose puny minds had no understanding of the laws of science. Moreover, there was no such thing as the spiritual realm, for all was material. This created a stir within Heaven, and Heaven’s god decided to punish these worthless humans for their rejection of his ways.
Late that year, a large number of respected persons, from renowned politicians and businessmen to the most brilliant of scientists, began having visions of angels. In these visions, they were granted prophecies about the destruction of the material world by the wrath of god. No evidence could be gained to prove that these visions were anything other than the imaginations of those beholding them, but man’s belief in the purely material realm was shaken. Gnostic cults emerged with these visionaries as their prophets, proclaiming to unbelievers that they must renounce the material world if they are to become pure in spirit and achieve divinity. As the visions continued to increase in number, these cults grew alongside them.
In 2021, their leaders suddenly declared the union of their cults into one grand religion: Ira Die. This group, lorded over by thirteen prophets (named “Elohim”, or “Gods” in English), began proselytizing on a massive scale. Soon enough, their religion encompassed twenty-five percent of the world’s population. As a result, they became a powerful force within the governments and societies of mankind, directing the world toward the acceptance of the spiritual realm and the rejection of the material realm.
It was in that year that several teens and young adults in Seattle, Washington, began having their own dreams: dreams of Demons. These Demons told them of Lucen, the creator god of this world. They were told that Ira Dei was the hand of Heaven’s god on this Earth, and that they would attempt to destroy all of humanity and the material universe very soon. Therefore, Lucen had chosen these teenagers to be the universe’s saviors (whom he called the Illumined Ones, or Illuminati), and destroy Ira Dei. To aid them in their upcoming war, they were given the help of Demon familiars to grant them supernatural abilities.
In recompense for the use of demonic power, they had been called to Chimera Tower, a massive skyscraper in the heart of Seattle. There they met with Lucen’s prophet: Balaam. Under the tutelage of this man and his subordinates, Christopher Karlson, Selena Da' Ravielle , Conrad Stern, and Anthony Corbin, these teenagers were turned into demonic soldiers, the spearhead of man's counter-assault on Yahovim's forces.
Now they are heading back to Chimera Tower, awaiting their battle against Heaven.
Creation Myth
In the beginning of time, there was One: Yahovim. This god was the ultimate source and being of all things, the one from which all springs, to which all return, and of which all exists. This god created the Bene-Yahovim, also known as Angels, and the world in which they lived: the Heavens. These creatures were the incarnations of his spirit, the representation of his ethereal existence.
However, Yahovim’s creation unwittingly was his downfall. One day, the Seraph Lucen found in his heart the desire to be a god of his own, on par with Yahovim. To fulfill this desire, he created the material universe, and filled the Earth with material spirits, the greatest of which were Mankind. At his word, the world of men was given life, and existence. However, just as it was given life, Yahovim became angered that Lucen would dare attempt to become a god. Therefore, he decided to end this rebellion, and destroy the universe.
Yahovim was successful, in part. He came to the Earth, wiping out all of mankind. However, many of the Bene-Yahovim became angry with god since he murdered so many innocent men who had nothing to do with Lucen’s rebellion. So, they joined forces with Lucen and attacked god, forcing him to retreat back to the Heavens without destroying the universe as a whole and protecting the Earth.
Lucen’s love for mankind caused him to create once more. Taking his love and angelic life, he poured them into the soil, creating a woman, whom he named Deumos. He took this woman to be his wife, and planned to create a new race from her. However, Yahovim refused to allow this, and created a man named Adam. This man was the first human son of god, and Yahovim took Deumos, removed her memories of her first husband, and implanted within her a love for Adam and a full devotion to Yahovim. As a result, the two were divinely wedded, and Adam took her and gave her the name of Eve. From them, Yahovim decreed that a king would be born who would overturn Lucen and destroy the material universe.
This was more than Lucen could bear. So, in retaliation, Lucen led a great host of Angels against god. His army found many supporters amongst the Heavenly hosts, including Seraphel, who was the Seraph that once served alongside Lucen before Yahovim. In the battle that ensued, Lucen and his followers were cast down to the material Universe. Lucen’s own blood was spilled in the fight, though he did not die. A drop of his blood hit Earth, growing into a great apple tree, which was the Tree of Gnosis. This tree would grant to humanity a free will, the ability to go against the wishes of Yahovim himself.
To prevent this from occurring, god commanded Adam and his wife to never eat of that tree, upon pain of eternal punishment. However, Lucen loved his old wife and longed for her to overcome the tyranny of god. Therefore, he took upon himself the form of a serpent, and came to Eve. With his loving words, he persuaded her to eat of the fruit of his blood, and give the fruit to her husband as well. She did as he said, and upon eating it, Adam and his wife gained knowledge of the ways of Lucen and the Demons, and were given freedom of will.
Because of this, Yahovim created a place in the Heavens called Purgatory. Upon death, men’s souls would enter this place and be tormented by Yahovim’s Angels until they had done penance for all the times that they went against the will of god. However, once their sins were atoned for, their spirits would be set free. Thus, they would become Angels, serving Yahovim for eternity. This was the curse of man’s disobedience, and the redemption of his soul.
Demons and Hell
After man was cursed by Yahovim, Lucen created a world in the core of the Earth, which he named Hell, and created a gate therein from which he could enter the lowest Heavens.
Hell itself is a mirror image of Earth. No lakes of fire, no impossibly massive volcanoes, no evil beasts torturing you for eternity. Rather, it was a great pangaea-like continent surrounded by a massive ocean. In the center stood Hades, the capital city. Therein was Lucen's Throne, and a river of blood flowed from its midst into the oceans. Here the Fallen Angels resided with him, constantly staging attacks from thence against Heaven.
However, the battle was a losing one. God’s hosts continually replenished as a result of man’s souls entering Purgatory upon death, eventually becoming Angels. However, Lucen’s forces could not be replenished, since only Yahovim could create new Angels. To remedy this, Lucen and his male Angels took wives for themselves from the daughters of Eve. These women bore children unto them that were half-angelic and half-human. These hybrids were called Nephilim. As a result of their hybrid blood, their men and women were supernaturally strong, swift, beautiful, and intelligent, becoming mighty warriors and hunters amongst the societies of mankind.
Upon death, the hybrid spirit of the Nephilim would guide them to Hell. Once there, their souls were bidden to drink from the river which flows from beneath the throne of Lucen. This river, the River of Transcendent Knowledge, is composed of Lucen’s blood, and pours forth from the unhealed wounds he received in the first Heavenly War. Upon drinking, these souls gained transcendence. Wings of darkness sprouted from their backs, and they were granted certain Angelic abilities. These new spirit warriors were called Demons, and they were Lucen’s first line of attack and defence against the Heavenly Hosts.
Because of the nature of their spiritual bodies, Demons are unable to last for long outside of Hell and the Heavens without inhabiting a human body. To this end, they have one of two methods for inhabiting a human. The first is through possession. By doing this, Demons forcibly wrest control of a human’s body from its spirit, thereby giving them direct power over the host. In this form, the Demon is left open to being exorcized from the host, leaving the host intact but killing the Demon. The second is through the signing of a blood contract, whereby the human and Demon agree to bind themselves to one another. In this, the human soul gains the powers and companionship of the Demon in return for surrendering his soul to Lucen upon death. Thus, the Demon does not have direct control over the host, but nevertheless gains a fellow Demon as a result of the transaction and cannot be exorcized. This is how one gains a Demon Familiar.
Most Demons have certain weaknesses, such as salt, Holy Water, Holy Magic, Holy Weapons, quotations from Holy Writings (the Bible, Qur’an, Book of Mormon, etc.), Heavenly Light, and Angelic Weapons. Moreover, because Demons are merely Angelic hybrids and not pure-bloods, they are weaker than most Angels.

Hello fellow RPers! In response to popular demand, I have decided to brush the dust off this old RP of mine and bring her back from the pits of Hell.
As you can tell, everything is a work in progress, and I am far from completing this. There will be many changes to the mechanics, the overall plot, the battle sequences, even to the role that your demon familiars will play. Since I want this to be as high quality as possible, I will be taking my time in crafting this.
In the meantime, I would like to see some interest drummed up here. All the old cast is invited back, and I hope that we will have many fresh players as well. To this end, I am currently working on making an app form for ya'll, which I expect to be finished either tonight or tomorrow evening.
So, I hope ya'll will join me again as we tell of one of the most important stories of all: the fight for human freedom.
