The Mechanics' Guild: An RP(G) Community

Some see the universe as a kaleidoscope of infinite possibilities. I see those possibilities as infinite d6 rolls.

Welcome, one and all, to the Mechanics' Guild! This is an RP group for those of us who might not be so good at writing compelling stories or interesting romance, but find themselves crunching numbers and reading rulebooks in a basement while the nice kids go play in the sun. Those of us gathered here believe that any RP can be spiced up with a bit of good ol' math, hard mechanics, and copious amounts of d6. Created after some of us realized just how much of a rarity these clockwork masterpieces are, we aim to promote our genre and make it known to all of P2TM. New members are always welcome, and those seeking assistance can get it from our resident Mentor.

Rules:
1. No flaming, trolling, or otherwise being a douche
2. Follow the main NS rules
3. This is a democracy. Ideas supported by the players should generally be implemented. Goes hand-in-hand with rule 4.
4. Use common sense. Please. I cannot stress this enough. I don't want to see 50 pages worth of rules, nor 5 paragraphs of non-constructive criticism.

Featured RP's

Homeworld, the story of a fleet of motherships fleeing the oncoming apocalypse in what is totally not a ripoff of FTL. May include: rhymes, silly singing, and ~~necromorphs~~ aliens
The Last Colonies: A supposedly post apocalyptic colony making game, in the spirit of Alpha Centauri. The pace is just a little bit faster, and the mind worms happen to come a little bit more often. Completed at last, G-Tech the victor.
Blood Horizon - Mad Max + base building. What's not to love? Careful, though, or you might find yourself on the wrong end of a boomstick, as resource and territory scarcity make diplomacy a bit more important this time around.

Experience: I have a Rifts RPG (2005) book, I've played multiple MMORPGS, multiple video games like Civ 5, and multiple mechanics heavy RPs.
Preferred Level of Detail: Complicated but not so complicated it requires 4 hours to figure out what to do.
Activity: What are you asking me for I..I...mean often but I can stop anytime I want!
