Those of you who participated, what killed it? What were the flaws? The parts you liked?

I dunno. But for a first OP; I enjoyed it greatly. I think the combat mechanics could be improved upon, as well as the maps, and tech system. Just my thoughts. Even though I'm the OP.

I would say it could use a more subdivided map, downsides to income for expansion, and a more frequently updated tech tree.

The tech tree would've been updated Turn 6, however, it died before it ever reached that turn.

I second G-tech's comments, and also add a different combat system. This whole instant defeat is kind of cheap in my opinion. Doesn't even allow an opponent a response, like "Hold your ground" or "retreat" or anything.

...

Retreat is always an option. I just forgot to put it in.

Mm, yes, that's why you needed smaller provinces and more space- once all the expansion had been done, folks started wars, and losers often just outright jump ship. With only five active RPers, and nothing to do but war, that went downhill rapidly.

A discussion on Cradle's death, and how it could be improved upon.

Hmmm... Honestly, I would prefer if we discarded the current mechanics and started from scratch.

Soooo... Would anyone be interested in an 18th century-esque settlers RP (with a twist)?
Everyone would RP individual settlers who grow and harvest crops, build homes, craft tools, weapons, trade with fellow settlers... And do their best to stay alive in the new world filled with mysteries and dangers.
Of course, this would be all backed up by some serious game mechanics!

I could also make a sci-fi version if that is more appealing.

Sounds cool, but I need to know, will there be Organ Cannons?

That sounds pretty chill, frankly. I'd be down.
