These five hold seats on the Board of Directors for their CEOs, and Hyperion-Frost holds the seat of Viceroy. All possess monopolies on their sectors within Corporate space. The Core had long been a haunt of pirates and other less than desirable factions; this made it less than desirable to anyone, as the Core had no major pockets of resources, and the scum within often united to repulse any assault on them. When The Hexagon Conglomerate discovered several mineral rich systems on a risky Coreward run, they, along with the other members of their corporate alliance and what would become the Corporate Sector, allied with the Black Hand to conquer the Core.

Without the Black Hand's leadership, and before the resources arrayed against them, the alliance conquered the Core and proclaimed the establishment of the Corporate Sector, where they could operate freely. Many pirate bands were soon absorbed into the newly-established Corporate Sector as protection against other corporations. A strike soon came, in the form of a Weyland-Ashcroft assault on the Corporate Sector backed by Hyman-Yevenii, the first a pharmaceutical company, the second a major rival of The Hexagon Conglomerate. The assault was repulsed, and Hyman-Yevenni was absorbed into The Hexagon Conglomerate while Weyland-Ashcroft was bought out by Hyperion-Frost.

With the Sector now secure, the Board of Directors opened it up to smaller corporations to develop the Sector's economy, eventually leading to the current situation.
Culture: The Corporate Sector's culture is a mish-mash of hundreds of small cultures colliding, but one fixed element remains; respect for ambition. The plutocratic nature drives a meritocracy; if you have the skills to gain money, you gain money, and that is respected, and respect is the highest form of currency in the Sector.

Troopers who are the most common soldier within the Empire go through about a 1-2 year boot camp that pushes them to the breaking point and then rebuilds them to be the best that they can be on the battlefield. Most recruits are washed out within the first month of boot camp form the intensity that they go though during bootcamp, by thee time that the recruits are finished bootcamp only the 30% of the recruiting class is left and ready to become Troopers.

Trooper within the Empire are equipped with the MkII Battlesuit, the suit is a combination of Titanium alloy and a kevlar suit to increase mobility while adding protection for the user, the suit also has a light shield generator to provide a small about of protection against small arms. The battle suit allows the user to lift 4x his/her weight, as well as increases the users reflexes and speed, and allows air to be sealed in for about fifteen minutes. The suit comes in urban digital camouflage and fits any size fame that the user has.

The parliament is also responsible for the impeachment/removing of the emperor when he/she has committed a crime against the country. Finally is the Judicial branch which is responsible for interoperation of all laws and determining of the law is unlawful or lawful. History: The war had destroyed much of what Arcadian had before the Great Collapse, most of the survivors who where German and English descendants fled to the Procyon system in order to rebuild and hopefully learn form their mistakes. Once they landed on Arcadia they noticed that it was largely misnamed as the planet was incredibly cold and winding, the first few months where hard as the climate made living on Arcadia impossible however the survivors adapted to the extreme cold and windy conditions. Their was two different nations on Arcadia their names where the Arcadian Empire who came form the largest and most northern continent then their was the New republic who controlled the middle most continent both nations had opposite ideals as the Aterian Empire was more imperial, capitalist, and cultured; the New Republic was the complete opposite of the Arcadian Empire, as both nations grew relations between them collapsed to the point of war. And it was during this fifty year war that the Arcadian Empire becomes a hyper militarized nation hellbent on destroying the New Republic, after the war the Arcadian Empire became the dominate nation as grew more then three times what it was before the war. Today the Arcadian Empire covers 4/6ths of the planet and three planets within the system.

First is the executive branch is headed by the emperor who is in control of the whole military, most domestic and foreign affairs. Next is the legislative branch is lead by Parliament, who is responsible for all of the laws of the land. The parliament is also responsible for the impeachment/removing of the emperor when he/she has committed a crime against the country. Finally is the Judicial branch which is responsible for interoperation of all laws and determining of the law is unlawful or lawful. They are also responsible for disputes for between both people and the nation.

History: The war had destroyed much of what Aterians had before the Great Collapse, most of the survivors who where German and English descendants fled to the Procyon system in order to rebuild and hopefully learn form their mistakes. Once they landed on Arcadia they noticed that it was largely misnamed as the planet was incredibly cold and winding, the first few months where hard as the climate made living on Arcadia impossible however the survivors adapted to the extreme cold and windy conditions. Their was two different nations on Arcadia their names where the Aterian Empire who came form the largest and most northern continent then their was the New republic who controlled the middle most continent both nations had opposite ideals as the Aterian Empire was more imperial, capitalist, and cultured; the New Republic was the complete opposite of the Aterian Empire, as both nations grew relations between them collapsed to the point of war. And it was during this fifty year war that the Aterian Empire becomes a hyper militarized nation hellbent on destroying the New Republic, after the war the Aterian Empire became the dominate nation as grew more then three times what it was before the war. Today the Aterian Empire covers 4/6ths of the planet and three planets within the system.

History: The Legions of Volohk were founded by a military force which fled earth led by General Alester Volohk. They found their way to the system now known as the Volohk system and settled one of the moons which now orbits The Crucible. They were followed by colonists who quickly colonised the other planets in the system, though the army began undergoing a radical change. Edward Volohk declared himself the Lord of the Legions and quickly conquered the system, using their resources to construct New Rome inside The Crucible. The Crucible is a gas giant which absorbs light and does not reflect it, giving off its pitch black look, though constant red storms fluctuate across the planet giving it an even more sinister look. New Rome is a massive base built inside, constantly shielded to keep out the gases and has an artificial gravity and pressure. Access to New Rome is through a large shielded gateway which can be opened or closed, giving the planet an extremely good defence mechanism.

With a rapid wave of recruitment they began to expand through the galaxy, though they did not settle or colonise, merely annihilated any beings found to be breaking their laws and left numerous space stations scattered across the galaxy. The Legions swelled, and began to change from their original purpose of enforcing the law to becoming true conquerors with an autocratic government. They conquered several systems before a coalition of nations formed against them and won several decisive victories, though they could never breach The Crucible. The Treaty of Envir was signed between this coalition and the Legions, binding the Legions to an oath which prevents them from ruling planets directly (often circumvented with puppet governments) and establishing the Intergalactic Code. The Intergalactic Code was signed by all those involved in the war, but was not ratified by all and rarely kept to except by the Legions of Volohk who enforce it regularly.

The Legions recovered from this war and excelled in their new role, establishing a myriad of bases across the inner galaxy and taking tribute from large numbers of planets to fund themselves. They boast a navy to challenge secondary powers, though it is so spread out that it is not seen as a threat. They are currently ruled by Lord Endrin Volohk who has taken a keen interest in expanding into the outer galaxy and attempting to have the nations of the galaxy sign up to the Intergalactic Code.
Goals:
- To enforce the Intergalactic Code across the galaxy, until there is a single law unto which all citizens are accountable to.
- To have all nations inside and outside of the galaxy sign, ratify and work according to the Intergalactic Code.
- To continuously expand in size to counter the threats within the galaxy.
- To research new technologies to gain an edge over nations and lawbreakers alike.
- To enhance The Crucible until it is completely impregnable

After seeing how large my territory is on the map, populations below 100 billion may be too low an estimate for such galactic powers.

Oh, well anywhere near the Galactic Core would be fine, like the ring that loops around it. It is only a single solar system, so perhaps an agreement could be had with any nation, such as the Corporate Sector, that they have control over it as an autonomous region in return for free policing in several areas?

The Intergalactic Code was signed by all those involved in the war, but was not ratified by all and rarely kept to except by the Legions of Volohk who enforce it regularly.

The Legions recovered from this war and excelled in their new role, establishing a myriad of bases across the inner galaxy and taking tribute from large numbers of planets to fund themselves. They boast a navy to challenge secondary powers, though it is so spread out that it is not seen as a threat. They are currently ruled by Lord Endrin Volohk who has taken a keen interest in expanding into the outer galaxy and attempting to have the nations of the galaxy sign up to the Intergalactic Code.
Goals:
- To enforce the Intergalactic Code across the galaxy, until there is a single law unto which all citizens are accountable to.
- To have all nations inside and outside of the galaxy sign, ratify and work according to the Intergalactic Code.
- To continuously expand in size to counter the threats within the galaxy.
- To research new technologies to gain an edge over nations and lawbreakers alike.
- To enhance The Crucible until it is completely impregnable

Oh, well anywhere near the Galactic Core would be fine, like the ring that loops around it. It is only a single solar system, so perhaps an agreement could be had with any nation, such as the Corporate Sector, that they have control over it as an autonomous region in return for free policing in several areas?


The Corporate Sector is fairly loose; corps make and enforce their own laws, there's one corp (Lushyanka) that handles all prisons in the Sector and otherwise they're left to their own devices unless the Sector is invaded (or profit margins are threatened) when they all group together to defeat the offending party before retreating to their profit-making.
