So your a combat ship? In which case since I was in the old RP you might be suited to scouting unknown vessels and taking control of them for loots.

I'm more of a support ship, supplying shit-tons of labour and space tools to ships with production capabilities and storing large amount of stuff.
And carrying the strategic reserves of provisions and fuel, considering I start with more than double that of anyone else.

Mothership's Name: Icarus-01
Short history of the people behind it: The Icarus is one of some 30 motherships dispatched from the Icarus System. Somewhat odd amongst planets, the Icarus System had few natural resources, but what it did have was a surplus of barren, but habitable and vast planets. The Icarus System became a loose hybrid between a Galactic handyman and a military garrison. The vast amount of space meant that the military was free to use it for mass training, weapons testing, prison camps while the barren nature of the planet meant that it was soon inundated with vast cities sprawling across the non-military planets.
When the Sphere started expanding, the system panicked. The military dockyards were hastily retooled as battleships were refitted into motherships and smaller ships were stripped of their systems to speed up construction. This enabled the system to produce some 30 motherships, but due to the system's long distance from Earth and the vast amount of different courses ships were sent on, it is highly likely that many ships were destroyed by the Sphere.
Mothership's Crew type: Ace Pilots
Mothership's Class: Noah-Class
Mothership's Appearance (optional): Big-Ass Ship. Note the cannons are non-functional, but will be made operational as quickly as possible. For self-defence only, of course.

Cool, Pilots. The Noah is a good choice, because with a bit of trade you can tool her up nicely, and everybody always wants fuel and provisions. Accepted.

The Noah is interesting because although you can't have the most active units at the start (that goes to the Brodie) and have nothing to build, you've got the most crew units of any ship total and the most tools to build stuff with, provided you can get elements.

Mothership's Name: Silence in the Dark
Short history of the people behind it: No matter the differences in ideology, religion, culture, or race, it is an ancient truth that every human being in existence possesses an indomitable will to survive, and nowhere in the vast reaches of space is there a better example than the creators of the Silence. Exiled long ago for an offense almost forgotten, these ancient humans were expelled from the warmth of human civilization and left to roam the stars, until they eventually settled on a barren, lifeless rock they termed the Wanderer Moon. For generations, they lived and toiled in near perfect isolation, until news of the Progenitor artifact finally reached their ears. Something within them sparked once more, and they found themselves emerging from isolation for the first time in living history, joining the other human civilizations in their desperate bid for survival. Incorporating unique technologies developed over their long imprisonment, they built their one and only mothership, filled it with the remains of their people, and launched it into the void. Now, as the hopes and dreams of countless souls reaches towards the stars, the Silence will join them. Unnoticed, uncelebrated, and completely unperturbed.
Mothership's Crew type: Particle Scientists
Mothership's Class: Heisenberg
Mothership's Appearance (optional): You would not believe how hard it is to find images from the Remastered Edition...
I'm back. And what do you mean by that last bit in the OP? Do the 4 previous players get to keep their ships?

I'll be making a new one- otherwise we'd have issues with editing the IC to include tech and whatnot. The Burning Sun wrote:APP

I suppose I'll take you
Indeed so, indeed so. Those ships will form the 'core' elements of the new fleet, since they're modestly more formidable after a week of building. A few things will be jiggered around mechanically, but we'll be continuing in-region. Hark has a lot planned out, so it wouldn't make sense to restart the entire arc.

So wait? We're pretty much continuing where we left off with some differences?
