For example no one wants to play out the holocaust because it is a sensitive subject and can get you in mod trouble. The way to successfully do such things is to push to the limits and dive back down like a wave almost.. rise and fall. I kept my RP open because of interesting characters, events and active discussion on the OOC along with doing what the players wanted and not what i wanted. I watched people RP and figured out what i could do to keep them entertained. For you guys i did events and kept upa lot of debating that kept you all in to the idea of what to do and left you all wondering what everyone would do next. It is this playing of the mind that allowed the RP to keep on going for hundreds of pages.

The difference between a successful RP and a Failed RP is that people remember the Successful ones...

It aint a go to method.. You have to develop a new one every RP to match the players playing.. I aint going to do things i would do in a politics RP for a war RP would i? I myself love using Characters and dark story writing when i can but there are times when i can't because it won't work in that situation. I find people like my RPs because you actually have to get into the country and it's politics and issues if you hope of staying around. Take the Chinese civil war we had and notice how quickly such a powerful nation fell because the player did not understand things. I use RPs to entertain people and teach them at the same time.
