In case there's any confusion...inactive peoples' characters won't be deleted OOC or killed off IC; they'll just be kept on ice as if they were on inactive status. This way, if players can come back when they're not busy, they're free to pick up right where they left off.

Also, come to think of it given the setting, Lei should be able to have plenty to do.

I'll post in the Beijing thread tomorrow. I got XCOM Bureau for dirt cheap a while back, and I'm playing through it at the mo'.

Take your time (I actually just picked up the Enemy Within expansion from the Steam sale awhile back, so I completely understand) :) How do you like Bureau so far?

My copy of XCOM should come in a few days. Amazon is a wonderful thing.

Combat mechanics are extremely similar to Mass Effect2/3, with a few notable exceptions. Mass Effect's "pause time" mechanic, to issue orders, is instead a "slow time" mechanic which was implemented fairly poorly. The cover system is also pretty bad, and using it fluidly is damn near impossible; it's many times worse than ME2's (I've played through ME2 on 'Insanity' many times, and XCOMBureau has proven difficult in some sections, on the easiest difficulty, simply because the mechanics are so clumsy). In terms of story it's not bad, but not spectacular, and the length of the campaign is fairly short and it doesn't have dynamically generated sandbox missions. On the whole, I'd give a 5.5-6/10.

If I'd paid retail price for it then I'd feel really cheated, but I got it for less than a buck so it's fine.

You can't beat the convenience of downloading via Steam. :p

Ouch, I'll definitely take that off my want list (I'll go ahead and replace it with XCOM 2 :p )

When I still had the game, I liked mediums the most. I was also going down the french line since I wanted the ELC AMX, cause it looked fun.

Warthunder is better for tanks IMO. Red Orchestra 2 lacks variety (4 tanks; T-70, T-34, Pnz III H and Pnzr VI G), but it perfectly nails the feel and realism of an actual tank, and has excellent infantry combat. I personally could never get over the arcadey-ness of WoT.

Never tried WT (only because my browser yelled at me when I tried to download it :3 ), but want to. The realism is kind of putting me off though. I want to get the feeling of 'aww yeah - I'm a m********** tank'. You know, the action hero, smashing through walls, armoured knight of the 20th century type tank rather than the awkward clutch, steel-coffin tank :)
