Townsville, Great Sandy Desert (No shit Sherlock), New South Wales, Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia, Northern Territory.

Used to think the Nullarbor Plain was an epic name, then found out that 'Nullarbor' is just latin for 'no trees' :3 So No Tree Plain.

New South Wales is fine - it's no different to New York, and they added "south." But don't forget the Australian Capital Territory, which is almost as boring as the Northern Territory.
