The vocalist of that band is insane.

That he is. One of the many reasons they are in my top five favorite metal bands.

One thing I personally like (yes, I said like) about Japan is that they aren't so strict about maintaining the whole "men must look different than women" thing that we have in the West. Hence why nearly all the Japanese bands that I listen to that are all-male look rather feminine (which is something I prefer).

I dunno. I guess I just don't really like the whole "metal rockers that look like vikings" bands that I often see in the West. Probably because I don't like beards...

But I'm rambling.

To me it all kinda sounds the same. Deep screaming and heavy guitar strums blocking out the deep screaming.

That's because you've not listened to many metal bands. Try Ganglion, Within Temptation, Nightwish, Unsun, Dama, Leaves Eyes and Yousei Teikoku. Those groups rarely have any form of screaming, and several of them have none.

Glad we listen to some of the same groups. Most likely, I would like nearly all the artists you do. Just with me, I like even more variety, like death metal, metalcore (shyat ap, Rahb), black metal, nu metal (Rahb, gest shtahp eet), and the like. At least, that's what I suspect, anywho.

If you think it all sounds the same, that is only because you just haven't listened to enough. Which is fine, but no genre in the history of genres "all sounds the same". It might a lot in some regards (Radio play stuff), but still.

Also, this is literally a legitimate genre of metal (Drone metal)

I did that once and felt suuuper weird about it, so much so that I never did it again. I kept thinking about this person I'd never met and that they'd be super creeped out by having their life rewritten for my fictional nation. I tend to overthink this sort of thing though.

Trust me, I've done that myself. But I'm horrible at drawing, horrible at descriptions for appearances, don't like using anime characters, and also don't like using other peoples artwork all that much...Sooo I'm kinda low on options.

I am using actors, though, sometimes the appearance directly from shows, so they're pretty much "rewriting" their lives by being in films and TV shows

The first of their videos I watched was actually Saku. Because of its... uniqueness and shock factor, I was drawn in aesthetically, and the fact that their music, personal dress, and just the band overall fit the atmosphere so perfectly, I've been hooked on them ever since.
