Name: Florian Myles

Sex: Male

Race: Original

Age and Origin: 15 years; Birthday August 8th; Dublin, Ireland

Picture Appearance:
Yes. Florian is famous YouTuber jacksepticeye. Because reasons.

Character Class Specialities:
Armor| Armourer
  • Border Patrol
  • Field Mechanic

Height, Weight, Body Type: 5-foot 10-inches; 140lbs; Average build

Equipment: Pretty much the only things Florian carries around with him constantly are a photograph of him at age 10 standing next to an IS-2, his favorite tank, at the famous Kubinka Tank Museum in Russia; and a Swiss Army Knife as an aid for his Field Mechanic work. Florian most often wears a white t-shirt displaying a shamrock and an Irish flag inset on the shamrock, and faded blue jeans. When it comes time for Sims or Exercises, Florian dons a Russian World War II-vintage leather tanker cap in addition to his normal wear.

Character Story: Florian came to S.T.A.G. through a friend of his father's. He was planning on taking mechanical engineering courses if the application fell through, and already knows enough about certain tanks to fix them up in a jiffy, even using unconventional methods. Thanks to his knowledge of the history of warfare since AFVs came into play during World War I, Florian has a good knowledge of the Simulations and they shouldn't be too difficult for him. Florian is a happy-go-lucky kid when he's not commanding tanks and will be happy to make friends, especially among those interested in tanks. Florian strives to be the best he can be despite knowing that such an ideal is pretty much impossible to achieve. He wants to be recognized and known for his fierceness in tank warfare and general friendliness around others.

That was a response Tom could expect. "Pretty boring in here, huh? You'd think they'd try and spruce it up a bit." He almost said 'lively', but that would be a terrible choice of words when talking with a suicidal girl.

"Well, alright then, let's just get straight to the chase and blabber out all this crap that's almost scripted. I'm Tom, your guide in this place that you'd probably rather not be in. I'm just supposed to follow you around during the day, make sure you eat and stuff, don't kill yourself, and oh yeah--" He took on a sarcastic tone. "--Be your bestest buddy ever!"

There was a short pause before he continued.

"Look. I'm sure you're just absolutely joyous about this place and you'd much rather the world forgets you exists, because you don't want to exist anymore. I know how you feel because I was just that way too. I was in a similar place to this. But it was a guide like what I am now who helped me change, and now it's my turn to spread that to you. Make you realize the world doesn't want to forget you, because underneath all the pain you're a wonderful person that the world needs. Now, I know that sounded ridiculously cheesy and cliché, but just bear with me, okay? I know that you probably will hate me, but there's really nothing we can do about that now is there?" Tom finished. Goddamn, he needed to work on his explanations.

Additional Fun Stuff: Not Required

Personality: Florian is headstrong and confident. He won't take "no" for an answer, and this can make him a little bit of a perfectionist. Oh, and don't ever diss Russian tanks in Florian's presence, unless you wish the wrath of a Stalinium-powered maniac upon you faster than you can say "Stronk tenk iz ded". He will launch into a red-faced tirade that might last up to a full hour, and then, to put it lightly, greatly dislike you for an indeterminate amount of time. Since Florian knows so much about tanks to begin with, he learns and adapts very quickly in Sims or Exercises, so he is quite the force to be reckoned with. And god help you if he's on the other team in a Russian tank...

Moral Alignment: Chaotic Good

Bio: Florian's father and uncle were serving in a British armoured regiment in the Middle East when he was born. Florian's father was the gunner of a Challenger 2, while his uncle was the driver of an FV107 Scimitar light tank. So it was only natural that Florian would come to be a tank enthusiast as well. By the time Florian turned 7, this interest was already well in motion. Anything Florian read "for fun" was about tanks in some shape or form. Any video game he played had to have something where you got to control a tank. He went to as many events involving tanks as he could possibly go to. The commander of the old unit Florian's father and uncle had served in recommended S.T.A.G. to Florian, as the commander had sent his own son there a few years before and it had been a great experience. He told Florian all he knew about the Academy, and Florian was easily convinced. Through a high-ranking friend of the commander's, Florian was able to obtain enough influence to get into the program and pay for it easily.

FINALLY DONE WITH THIS. Tri, I know you told me to trim the abilities down to three, but there were three he kinda had to have, and then one that was the whole reason I made this char, so I left it at four. Sorry, just didn't seem to make sense any other way.

Name: Adrijan Crncevic

Sex: Male

Race:
Adrijan is spliced with the DNA of the Latrodectus tredecimguttatus, commonly known as the Mediterranean black widow. The most obvious physical feature that has resulted from this splice is a set of thirteen large red spots on his back, essentially larger versions of those on the actual spider, which give it it's name (tredecimguttatus meaning "with thirteen spots" in Latin). The splice has also given him a very wide range of abilities, including ones such as wall-crawling and web generation. In addition, there are several more... threatening abilities. In his mouth are a pair of small, needle-like fangs, easily retractable when not necessary. These fangs are linked to poison sacs in his cheeks, filled with various neurotoxins such as latrotoxin. From a tiny black widow bite, these toxins can cause pain, muscle rigidity, swelling, vomiting, and sweating. From one of Adrijan's bites, symptoms can range from intense pain, to paralysis, to death, depending on how much venom he chooses to use. Lastly, and arguably the most interesting of Adrijan's abilities, is pheromone generation and manipulation. Using this ability, Adrijan can emit powerful pheromones from various glands in various places in his body, for a variety of reasons. Depending on the pheromone used, they can be used to produce fear, aggression, protectiveness, behavior control, sexual attraction, and so on in anyone exposed to them. It is important to note that this last ability isn't quite mind control... the victim may very well know that what their body is telling them isn't true, but in many cases it isn't enough.

Age and Origin: February 23, 2008; Banja Luka, Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Picture Appearance:
Image

Character Class Specialities: Infantry | Operator
  • HazMat Prepped
  • Deadly Ambidextrous

Height, Weight, Body Type: 5' 11"; 157 lbs

Equipment: Having gone straight from a Croatian prison to Eureka, Adrijan doesn't have much. Other than clothing, much of which consists of Republika Srpska soccer shirts and sweat pants, his possessions are limited to several pictures (mainly of himself, Emil, and his family), an old cell phone (Verizon NV3), 50000 Serbian Dinar (about $460), and a small drug stash (mainly heroin and prescription drugs).

Character Story: Isolated from the Serbian Mafia, Adrijan seeks to use what few contacts he can still get in touch with to help create a new criminal empire on Eureka. The reasons for this are many but the four largest are power, money, an eventual merger with the Serbian Mafia, and revenge at Ravencroft for imprisoning him, combined with several other perceived injustices. His plan is rather simple: bribe/seduce/threaten/blackmail a member of the disciplinary committee, get some accomplices, and start dealing in drugs and weapons. Piece of cake... right?

RP Example: I've been in like, four or five RPs with you.

Additional Fun Stuff: Not Required

Personality: Adrijan is pretty outgoing and friendly, although at times he can end up shutting everyone and everything out, usually when he ends up thinking about the living hell that was his childhood. As he had very few people in life who genuinely cared about him, he is incredibly protective of anyone that does, and generally defensive of anyone who manages to befriend him. He doesn't really like or trust any kind of authority (Ravencroft, police officers, governments, etc.), largely due to the failure of law enforcement to protect him and his family against human trafficking, in some cases selling him to different human traffickers after failed escape attempts. He is essentially an anarchist, believing that anyone should be allowed to do whatever they want, without laws or social stigmas getting in the way.

Moral Alignment: Largely chaotic neutral, but in some regards neutral evil.

Bio: Adrijan Crncevic has not had an easy life. Born to a poor Serb family in Banja Luka, Adrijan was often beaten as a small child, his father having numerous psychological disorders, having done some questionable things during the Bosnian War two decades earlier. Forced by his father to only spend time around fellow Serbs, Adrijan grew up both discriminating against and facing discrimination from the sizable Bosniak and Croat minorities in Banja Luka. On one occasion, when he was six, he tried to bring a new friend from school, a Bosniak Muslim, over to play, and he was badly beaten, told not to talk to the other boy again. It didn't help that his father was associated with the Serbian Mafia, often selling drugs on their behalf and inviting over other members. In 2015, when Adrijan was seven, his father's connections cost him; several Bosniak members of the Bosnian Mafia came to their apartment one night, in search of drugs and having heard rumors both of Adrijan's father's connection with the Serbian Mafia and that he had participated in the infamous Srebrenica Massacre of 1995. The men dragged his father into the hallway outside of the apartment and shot him, before grabbing Adrijan, his older brother and sister, and any valuables they could find. In order to escape punishment, the men simply took their captives across the border into the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where the Republika Srpska had no jurisdiction.

After being held by the Bosniak mobsters for about a month (and spending his eighth birthday locked in the back room of an apartment in Travnik), Adrijan was separated from his siblings and sold to human traffickers, who then sold him to the Bosnian Serb Mafia, which used him as a thief. Flash forward two years, and Adrijan, on a trip with several other mobsters to make a deal with the Croatian Mafia, made his first attempt at an escape, homing to make it to the Croatian authorities. Luckily, he was found by Croatian police the day after he escaped. Unluckily, the police that found him were corrupt, and attempted to sell him back to the Bosnian Serbs. When they denied the offer, he was sold once again to human traffickers, who kept him for several weeks before selling him to the Croatian Mafia. Now eleven, the mob used him once more as a thief, and, impressed with his skill, slowly allowed him to take part in larger crimes such as mugging and burglary.

Four years later, Adrijan was a master thief, pulling off big jobs for the mafia and even getting small shares of the money from jobs. Yet Adrian still sought escape, and in the summer of 2023, fled the Croatian Mafia in hopes of reaching Serbia, where he had distant relatives. While he managed to escape, even reaching his great uncle in Belgrade, his luck soon took a turn for the worse once again. His great uncle, who had a serious gambling problem and heroin addiction, was deep in debt to a wealthy member of the Serbian Mafia named Emil Jovanovic. In order to pay off part of his debt, Adrijan was secretly sold to Emil, and was abducted by masked men one day when he was walking home. Emil soon forced Adrijan into prostitution, often hiring him for his own use. Obviously, this was far from ideal for Adrijan, but it was admittedly better than much of Adrijans earlier life; he got to keep a fair amount of his earnings, he was treated relatively well, and after awhile, he actually started to like Emil.

By his sixteenth birthday, Adrijan was for the most part settled in with the Serbian Mafia. He moved from prostitution to serious crime, keeping up a mostly consensual relationship with Emil. Ironically, despite the fact that he had essentially purchased Adrijan as a slave, he was nicer to the boy than most of his own family members had been, and the two soon developed an actual, legitimate relationship, which probably only partly could be attributed to Stockholm syndrome. This relationship ended up benefitting Adrijan in the long run; Emil happened to be friends with a corrupt Ravencroft scientist (now in hiding) who, at his request, gave Adrijan DNA splices.

With his new spider DNA, Adrijan became the Serbian Mafia's greatest weapon. All across the Balkans, reports of the "Srpska Spider" began popping up. Bank security cameras would be found obscured by webs. Police would be found terrified at seemingly nothing, or turning on other police. Bosnian and Croatian mobsters would show up dead, their blood full of neurotoxins. Utilizing his new abilities, Adrijan essentially became Emil's right hand man, at the young age of sixteen. Of course, this good period in his life didn't last... in March of 2025, Adrijan was arrested by Bosnian police in Sarajevo after robbing a bank owned by a subsidiary of the Ravencroft Institute. He remained there for roughly two months, before recieving an interesting offer...

Since Tri wanted you to cut down the abilities to three, and you said you can't do that, I'm unwilling to accept it currently. Let Tri decide, because I don't know whether he would accept it when you haven't changed it to reflect what he asked for in that area.

Don't take this wrong, but no. If this were my RP, I would want to have all the new recruits be exactly that: new. They wouldn't know much about fighting, and most certainly wouldn't be expert killers by any stretch of the imagination. And I do think that's what Tri was referring to in the second OP of this thread,

PC's will take the role of a newly applied/volunteen-told cadet. What does this mean? It means that for the most part, I want the Eurekan Experiance to be something totally off the wall to your PC. They, for the most part, should just be your average, everyday kid whose signed or been signed up for something that isn't your average high school.

In my mind, your character breaks that mold waaaay too much, and is too experienced in fighting.

Usually, in an RP like this, you want to have characters who have a ton of room for growth. Otherwise, you're way ahead of everyone else, and that can create tension between players, or even cause problems to the plotline.

That's another reason why I'm leaving it up to Tri. Maybe he has a different line of thinking about this than I do, so I won't intrude on his choice.

Though of course your characters having some knowledge in the territory is probably fine, like Callandra knowing a bit of flying due to flight sims and research, and Kylie's parents making her learn shooting. But either way, both of them are by no means experts and will need to learn a lot once they get there.

Speaking of, how much could someone actually learn about the Academy and everything related to the island from research? As in, could someone use, say, Google and learn about the Disciplinary Committee? I'm just trying to decide if Callandra would already know some about these kinds of places here, or if she'll learn about them from observations IC-wise (Either one works for me, I'm just trying to narrow down my options)

She'll learn primarily from observations IC-wise, since the Academy was kept a secret pretty much up until now.

It does not reflect my real life world political views, which are considerably less authoritarian and more moderate
Refer to my factbook for canon, it´s however out of date, and badly written. So take it with a grain of salt

My character knows next to nothing about fighting, outside of her Naginata, but is quite good with computers. She's going to be starting from square 1 on most subjects

Excuse me, Internet, I'm trying to read the IC.

Alright.

I still have the thing where she torments her parents for a year (I can shrink that) because they wouldn't let her go here when she was 13...It was accepted but I might need to tweak that around a bit. Maybe she just tormented them for a few months until they would let her go :P And Kylie's parents made her train so they could force her to go here...

BTW, Legatia, whose character were you referring to? It seems like it's mine, but I just wanted to make certain.
