He's sleezy and ambitious, and loves to charm his way up the ranks, if possible. Any rank he might have doesn't only come from his charm, however, as he's skilled in combat as well. He cares little for other people, though he doesn't show this.

Moral Alignment: Neutral Evil

Bio: Seth grew up with rather poor parents. They both worked a lot, leaving him with a babysitter, or as he got older, alone. And when they were home, they only paid enough attention to him to feed him, really. As he got older, he started going to the extreme to get their attention, and would steal their things, and either hide them or sell them. He would also intentionally make himself sick so they'd have to notice him and take him to the doctor. He even got himself spliced with a snake at the age of 10. Once that didn't work, though, he stopped bothering, and changed entirely. He became much more polite with them, and everyone else, and he learned that his got him what he wanted, so that was who he became. He joined the academy at 17, but after an accident involving a explosion, he was sent home due to his injuries and was unable to continue his training. It had cost him an eye, which took him a while to get used to, but he returned next year to try again.

Sex Orientation: Asexual. Doesn’t mean he won’t pretend to be otherwise if it gains him something.

With extremely limited carrying capacity for firearms or explosives the operator has to rely on subtlety, tampering with enemy machinery rather than blowing it up and spreading misinformation rather than jamming operations wide communications for example. In a supporting role the operator can join friendly units of all sorts to assist in setting up ruses, bluffs and feints or simply remaining undetected.

So I decided to make a custom class, nothing already available seemed exactly right for my character.

I'm also considering making a second character, what roles are we missing or are less filled out at least?

I'm with Rob on this one. Turing into an animal is a bit out there. If you were able to suddenly gain the strength of a bear, then sure, but this ability would be subject to a bunch of rules.

Personality: Seth is charming, and a gentleman, but in a way that would make some people want to punch him in the face. He's sleezy and ambitious, and loves to charm his way up the ranks, if possible. Any rank he might have doesn't only come from his charm, however, as he's skilled in combat as well. He cares little for other people, though he doesn't show this.

Moral Alignment: Neutral Evil

Bio: Seth grew up with rather poor parents. They both worked a lot, leaving him with a babysitter, or as he got older, alone. And when they were home, they only paid enough attention to him to feed him, really. As he got older, he started going to the extreme to get their attention, and would steal their things, and either hide them or sell them. He would also intentionally make himself sick so they'd have to notice him and take him to the doctor. He even got himself spliced with a snake at the age of 10. Once that didn't work, though, he stopped bothering, and changed entirely. He became much more polite with them, and everyone else, and he learned that his got him what he wanted, so that was who he became. He joined the academy at 17, but after an accident involving a explosion, he was sent home due to his injuries and was unable to continue his training. It had cost him an eye, which took him a while to get used to, but he returned next year to try again.

Sex Orientation: Asexual. Doesn’t mean he won’t pretend to be otherwise if it gains him something.

Bio: Landon was abandoned in a dumpster when he was just a week old, and was luckily found by a young couple. They couple tried finding his real family, but with no luck, they adopted him, themselves, hardly believing their luck, since they couldn't have kids, themselves. He grew up hearing various things about the Academy, and took up his parents line of work, before volunteering to go to the Academy, much to the concern of his parents. He assured them that this was what he wanted to do, and set out for his new home for the time being.

I haven't done the class and subclass thing yet, because I wasn't sure if it was needed yet, and I wasn't sure How it's meant to be done.

• Birthdates are incorrect and need to fit the timeline. FR&R is set 19 years prior to events in OG&G, which makes the setting time 2025. Honest mistake and one easily fixed.
• I need you to fill out the class and subclasses. While they won't apply at first (when the PC's are at Fort Navarone), it would be smarter to just have them already selected and placed in the app, so that they are ready when they do come into play. For an example of how to do it, check the application example in the OP, or view the accepted apps in the Archive.

Custom Class Request Application


Class Branch: Infantry

Class Type: Main

Class Name: Operator

Description: A distant cousin to the commando, the operator class specialises in deception and subterfuge, sacrificing firepower and any sort of armour. Unrivalled in disguise and infiltration, the operator does best behind enemy lines spreading misinformation and committing precise acts of sabotage. With extremely limited carrying capacity for firearms or explosives the operator has to rely on subtlety, tampering with enemy machinery rather than blowing it up and spreading misinformation rather than jamming operations wide communications for example. In a supporting role the operator can join friendly units of all sorts to assist in setting up ruses, bluffs and feints or simply remaining undetected.

So I decided to make a custom class, nothing already available seemed exactly right for my character.

Maybe, you just gain some stronger physical attributes of the animal. Literally turning into them seems a bit cheesy.

I'm with Rob on this one. Turing into an animal is a bit out there. If you were able to suddenly gain the strength of a bear, then sure, but this ability would be subject to a bunch of rules.

Its a interesting idea, but its has some issues:

• Splicing makes Beast Within redundant. With humans already augmented with the ability to have animal sense (sight, hearing, smell) and attributes (wings, gills, fangs), I don't see what new things this sub-class would offer.
• The ability is out of touch with the Cyberpunk-atomosphere in Eureka. The ability for a large amount of the cadets to turn into animals is leaning more towards Fantasy than Science Fiction.
• It puts Partials at a disadvantage on the battle field. While in their animal form, most couldn't operate firearms (lack of opposable thumbs) and vehicles. This presents a very real problem for Partials who depend on machines to complete their missions (Armored, Air Force, and Naval PCs).

If you want to adapt the sub-class to the problems given, I think we could then accept that modified version.
