It still stands. And even so the USSR signed the Non-Nuclear Proliferation Treaty as did Ukraine. Plus the Ukrainians willingly gave them up

The creation of UUNF itself shows that Ukraine was not entirely independent, and it was almost a puppet state, UUNF bombed and killed the members of the previous puppet government, starting a rebellion, and I stated at my application that a lot of Ukrainians in the Odessa Military District were working for UUNF, when shit hit the fan, they immediately changed sides and secured most of the previous Soviet bases. Some loyal Soviet forces surrendered, some keep on fighting, but nobody has secured the weapons since.
