Adolf walked down the hallway. He was going to talk to Hermann Göring to talk about annexing Switzerland. " Hermann, should we blitzkrieg Switzerland or shall we peacefully annex it?" Said the dictator, adjusting his glasses. "It's your choice." Said Hermann. He went back into his office, writing a letter to Benito Mussolini.

We can make a alliance, since your nation is the same ideology.
Adolf Hitler

Goebbels entered. He then saluted before sitting down. "You must get Germany back up again, I can start. I can make propaganda."
"Ok." replied Adolf. Goebbels left only to return hours later. " I made several propaganda posters." Goebbels handed 5 posters. "They are good." Said Adolf. "Send them to the Department of Propaganda."

Villa Torlonia, Rome, Italy

In the early morning, Benito Mussolini enjoyed a quiet breakfast with his wife, Rachele. "These eggs are very good," the Italian Prime Minister said to his significant other. "You really should make these more often."

"Thank you," Rachele replied. "They're my mother's recipe."

At that moment, a messenger in military uniform entered the dinning room, and handed a message to the Fascist Duce. "Letter from Berlin," the messenger said.

"Thank you, my good man," Benito Mussolini responded as he opened the envelope and began to read the brief letter from the new German Chancellor, Adolf Hitler. "I figured he would seek an alliance," Benito remarked. "Like-minded leaders need to stick together after all. I shall send a letter to Hitler."

Image
To: Adolf Hitler, Chancellor of Germany
From: Benito Mussolini, Prime Minister of Italy

Greetings, mighty Chancellor!

I would be honored to accept an alliance between our two great nations. I believe that if Germany and Italy work closely together, we can accomplish many great things. To that end, I would like to propose a conference with you or your representatives at the Royal Villa of Monza. There, we can sign a formal treaty of alliance, and discuss our plans for the future. I look forward to working with the German Reich, and may God bless our glorious alliance.

Signed, Benito Mussolini

After sending out the message to Germany, Mussolini quickly finished up his breakfast, then went upstairs to his study to look over a world map. While Germany was a powerful nation and logical ally, Mussolini decided he needed other allies if Italy were to remain strong. Britain and France, while worthy allies, were likely to come into conflict with Hitler due to the German Chancellor's rhetoric denouncing the Versailles treaty. The US was too far and too isolationist to be a strong ally. So, Benito Mussolini turned his attention toward the Pacific, to the Empire of Japan.

Image
To: Hato Akaito, Prime Minister of Japan
From: Benito Mussolini, Prime Minister of Italy

Greetings, powerful leader of the East!

I write to you today to propose a Non-Aggression Pact between our two countries. While our nations are far apart and practice different ideologies, we do share at least one commonality: we were both rejected by the Entente powers. The Treaty of Versailles denied Italy valuable territories in the Balkans that were promised to her in the Treaty of London of 1915, and Japan was shunned by the Western powers through actions such as the rejection of a racial equality clause in the Treaty of Versailles. If our two nations unite, we can prove to France, Britain, and other nations that Japan and Italy are formidable powers worthy of respect. I dearly hope we can reach an agreement, and God bless the Empire of Japan!

Signed, Benito Mussolini

Finally, after handing the Japanese letter to a courier, Prime Minister Mussolini sent out orders to Italy's ambassadors in Paris and London to request an audience with the national leaders of France and Britain respectively.

Tokyo
Japan

Hato Akaito took a look at the message sent from the Kingdom of Italy, a nation of which Akaito knew little about; even despite this, he was well aware that a new government had taken control of Italy, lead by Mussolini, who fashioned himself as ll Duce, or the leader in Italian. A vehement anti-militarist, he had managed to secure the support of the Emperor and become the Prime Minister of Japan. He knew very well that there were still militarist elements in Japanese society; Japanese army officers operating independently had accused the Chinese of detonating a bomb near a railway in 1931, causing the infamous Mukden incident. The Emperor was angered, due to the whole thing haven been done without his express consent. Chinese forces were soon forced from Manchuria by the IJA. As punishment, the Emperor began to divert funds from the army to the navy, hoping to build a fleet that would make the Western powers finally recognize Japan as one of the Great Powers, and a force to be reckoned with.

Akaito stared at the window which gave him an excellent view of Tokyo; with the Mukden Incident still in his mind he wrote a message back to Italy.

Addressed to: Benito Mussolini
From: Hato Akaito

While we agree completely to this non-aggression pact I must inform you that we the Japanese bear no particularly ill feelings towards the West, despite their actions in the past which we, of course, we know to be unfair and discriminatory towards Japan and all Asians in general. However, I am almost certain that they will, perhaps in the near future, come to their senses and promote racial equality and the fair treatment of all races. I agree that such a treaty between our two nations would be mutually beneficial between the both of our nations, and, with your consent, I would like to request a possible meeting (at the location of your choice) between Japan and Italy to discuss the future, as well as trade agreements and the like. Please respond at your earliest convenience

Sincerely,
Hato Akaido
Prime Minister of Japan

War on the Iberian Peninsula
The people of Spain, after decades under the oppressive Republican government, are in revolt. The Republicans have killed clergymen and women, the Republicans have desecrated churches and other holy sites, and the true sons and daughters of Spain have had enough. Led by Francisco Franco, the Nationalist forces have managed to gain control of Spanish North Africa, most of the Balearic Islands, major cities along the Guadalquivir, as well as a foothold in northwest Spain.

Troops are on the move in Seville, moving north to secure the Portuguese border. 20,000 soldiers with an assortment of artillery and aircraft are with them. To meet up with this force is an additional 20,000 soldiers moving south from Salamanca. A further 20,000 soldiers are on the move from Saragossa to Tortosa, in an effort to cut the Republican held lands in half. Air superiority is being achieved in these areas in order to screen the advance of Nationalist forces. Bombing runs are being held on Republican strongholds along the paths of these soldiers as well as around Toledo to prevent the city's capture. The Army of Africa is being raised on the North African coast, with volunteers and conscripts alike joining the army.

A Speech to the Spanish People
Radios across the nations are tuning into Francisco Franco's speech, a declaration to the Spanish people.

"Españoles! Hear my voice, and recognize that Spain's deliverance from the hands of the godless Republicans is at hand! For too long have we Spaniards been oppressed by the evil communists. For too long have we allowed those devils to desecrate our churches. For too long have we allowed them to kill men and women of the clergy. We have allowed them to rape nuns! We have allowed them to have a mock execution of the Sacred Heart of Jesus! I say, enough is enough! The true sons and daughters of Spain, loyal Catholics, patriotic Spaniards, are now in revolt! We shall take these injustices no longer! My countrymen, join us in our revolt against these godless desecrators. Join us in our fight to liberate Spain from this evil government! Not only do your countrymen need you, not only do your ancestors need you, but God needs you. Come, join in our restoration of Spain. For too long have we been complacent, and now is your chance to take action. Viva los españoles! Viva España!

Franco's speech to the Spanish people has roused the hearts of many and people are flocking to Nationalist territory in order to liberate Spain. The Nationalist forces are swelling with recruits across Spain. Similar speeches are being made daily by Franco are are similarly being broadcast across the Iberian peninsula.

Spain, as you know, is in a state of civil war. The evil Republican forces have made a mockery of Spanish history, heritage, and culture. We true Spaniards are in revolt against them and need aid. With Germany's help, we will win our war and restore order to the peninsula. We have similar ideologies, you and I. We both believe in national pride, in a strong government, and a hatred for the communists. So, I entreat you, send aid to the true people of Spain.

Peking, China
With anger of the Mukden incident, President Lin Sen called in a meeting in the Chinese Parliament to discuss about the hostility towards Japan. Mao Zedong of the Communist Party joined the meeting, seeing this as a chance of ending the civil war in China. Other parties joined the meeting. The meeting remains private.

Shanghai, China
As the result of the Mukden incident, Japanese families were forced to leave China or face execution. In Shanghai, over 2000 Japanese protested against their expulsion from China. They clashed with the Chinese riot police, resulting in 200 deaths and 400 injuries.

Kremlin, Moscow, Russian SFSR, USSR

Inside the Kremlin, Joseph Stalin had already been talking about spreading the Soviet influence through Asia and Eastern Europe..the only problem is economy and the Empire of Japan, they have already been fighting Japan during the Russo-Japanese War as an imperial Russian entity which they show weakness to the Russian people and it is no good but this Russia today is different, it is no longer Russia, it is called the Soviet Union which comprises 15 socialist republics.

Joseph Stalin said, "I want a full Soviet influence in Manchuria and the Baltics, this would be our future expansion for the Soviet Union if needed." the advisor replied, "My premier..Manchuria is now a recent Japanese sphere of influence, do you still remember the treaty when the imperial Russia was defeated in the Russo-Japanese war against the Japanese imperialists? It was imperial Russia's fault that Japan turned into a great power, defeating a major European power!" Joseph Stalin replied, "Damn..we will have two choices, either we will focus on Baltics or Asia?" the advisor replied, "I prefer Asia, my premier because I'm afraid that Japan will invade us sooner or later if they invade our neighbour China; a country that engulfed in a bloody civil war between communists and the Nationalist government, we will focus later on the Baltics, my premier." and Joseph Stalin said, "Good choice, I was also thinking that we will focus on Asia, alright." the advisor asked, "And also my premier, I think Mongolia became our closest link to us in Asia, I think they'll be the one informing us about the Japanese movements in China." and Joseph Stalin replied, "Of course, they are Marxist-Leninist state since 1924, eh? And also tell General Georgy Zhukov, the General of the Soviet Red Army of the Far East that prepare for anything, we will try to skirmish against the Japanese imperialists." and the advisor said, "Indeed, my premier." the meeting was dismissed, the Soviet Union will now focus on Asia rather than Europe.

Greetings, my southern neighbour,

It seems that Japan will make its move to your territory called Manchuria, if they'll invade it, they have a chance to invade the Soviet Union. As you engulfed in a bloody civil war with you and the communists which I kept supplying them, it is good that you will ally with the communist guerrillas now because of Japan, you will create a UNITED FRONT with your nationalistic government and the communist guerrillas, we will established a defensive alliance against Japan if you accept this so-called Chinese United Front. I hope you understand this, I will wait for your response!

Republic of Spain

Manuel Azaña after becoming the elected president of Spain, General Franco a nationalist, fascist tyrant had seized Spanish Africa as well as some cities in the north and south of Spain. His speeches were full of hate towards the new, leftist government which was aiming to make progressive reforms. He was planning to split the Republican territory in half by attempting to secure the Portuguese border. Manuel ordered the Republican army to head towards the Portuguese border. He also armed the people of the towns and cities in order to protect themselves against the monstrosities the Nationalists commited.
Manuel Azaña made a speech to be heard across Spain.
" People of Spain, hear our voices. The voices of elected politicians who will protect your rights and your freedoms. The Republic of Spain is an official legal country which its only master is democracy and the people. General Fransisco Franco is a monster who commits acts of terror against the people of Spain who support the government they voted for. This amn and his supposed government will only make Spain go back centuries and will support constant violation of human rights if you disagree with him and his puppets. He will become a tyrant who will oppress the Spanish people for years, if he is not defeated.
People of Spain, protect democracy! Protect freedom! Help us defeat the evil of authoritarianism and the desire to oppress people and violate their rights. Help the Republic!
VIVA LA LIBERTAD"
The people of Spain cheered him and many joined squads to protect their hometowns and cities. Moreover, people from other countries joined the fight against dictatorship and for democracy.

Villa Torlonia, Rome, Italy

It was mid-afternoon when Benito Mussolini received a few letters from other world leaders. The Italian Prime Minister read over each one carefully. "I shall respond to Hitler first," Mussolini said. "I have a feeling this conference will be very important."

Image
To: Adolf Hitler, Chancellor of Germany
From: Benito Mussolini, Prime Minister of Italy

Greetings, mighty Chancellor!

Between Rome and Berlin, I would prefer Rome. It is a beautiful city, and I'm sure you and your ministers will be quite fond of it. We can meet at the Quirinal Palace in Rome. Myself and King Victor Emmanuel will be in attendance.

As for your occupation of Switzerland, I am afraid I cannot fully commit myself at this time. I shall send one tank division as a show of my friendship, but I fear an attack on the famously neutral Switzerland will provoke war with Britain and France. That would be especially inopportune, as Germany has not had much time to mobilize, and without the industrialized Ruhr Valley that is currently occupied by France, Germany's capability to wage war will be limited. Still, that is only my humble advice to you, and whatever you do, I hope it works out for the best. Good luck, and God bless the German Reich!

Signed, Benito Mussolini

Next at hand was Franco's Nationalist forces in Spain requesting aid. As Franco was ideologically similar to Mussolini's Italy, Mussolini was eager to assist.

Image
To: Francisco Franco, Caudillo of Nationalist Spain
From: Benito Mussolini, Prime Minister of Italy

Greetings, Generalissimo Franco!

Italy has received your request for you aid, and I shall agree to help you secure all of Spain for the righteous Nationalist forces. I shall send several ships full of weapons, basic supplies like medicine, and money to your port cities. I shall also send 15 military advisers to assist your forces in any way they can. Finally, I shall begin to assembly a 350,000 men force under Mario Roatta to aid you in fighting the Republican forces. May the Nationalists soon control all of Spain, and God bless the Nationalists!

Signed, Benito Mussolini

Lastly, there was the matter of Japan. "I don't need Japan to be anti-Western," Mussolini said after reading the letter. "I just need allies. I'll send a response right away."

Image
To: Hato Akaido, Prime Minister of Japan
From: Benito Mussolini, Prime Minister of Italy

Greetings, great Prime Minister!

I do not require Japan to be anti-Western; I am just eager to have a strong ally in Asia. I am glad you have accepted my proposal, and I am sure we will accomplish great things if we work together. I would like to have the conference in Korea, as I do not believe the Italian delegation is worthy of meeting at one of your mighty Emperor's imperial palaces. We can meet at the Japanese General Government Building in Seoul. The Italian consul to Shanghai, Galeazzo Ciano, shall be appointed the new Italian Ambassador to Japan, and he will represent Italy at the conference along with Foreign Minister Dino Grandi. I look forward to working with you, and may our friendship produce great things!

Signed, Benito Mussolini

After sending out the three letters, Prime Minister Mussolini sent orders to the Ministry of War to mobilize 350,000 troops, to be known as the Corpo Truppe Volontarie (Corps of Volunteer Troops). In addition, 5 ships were loaded with supplies for Franco's Nationalist forces. The vessels departed from Palermo, and began the journey to the Nationalist port of Cadiz.

The Army of Africa
The with the Army of Africa raised, 10,000 soldiers were shipped across the Strait of Gibraltar, landing in Cadiz. These soldiers will soon begin their march east into Republican Andalusia. Meeting these Moroccans are another 30,000 soldiers. This new Army of Andalucia numbers 40,000 strong and intends to capture Malaga as soon as possible. The ships used to transport these soldiers, after delivering their payload, set off to intercept the Italian reinforcements in order to bring to them Cadiz unharmed. Combined with the ships on Mallora, all 30 National ships are on their way to protect the Italian convoy.

The Portuguese, mostly sympathetic to the Nationalist cause, have sent some 20,000 soldiers across the border of Extremadura. Expecting National forces coming from the other way, Republicans on the border are caught by surprise and quickly routed. From there, the soldiers are marching east to unite with the 40,000 Spaniard moving south and north. A combination of some 60,000 soldiers will formed a line facing east to engage incoming Republican reinforcements. Defenses will be prepared, artillery set up, and aircraft will await the Republican forces. National reinforcements totaling 20,000 have left Caceres to reinforce this line of defense.

Advance Down the Ebro
With no sight of Republican reinforcements, the soldiers marching out from Saragossa encounter little resistance and quickly begin securing the river. With no serious resistance, the soldiers will be outside Tortosa within a week. The Army of the Ebro, on their march to the coast, have picked up some 2,000 volunteers, thus enlarging their force to 22,000. Some 10,000 reinforcements have left Saragossa to secure the newly captured Republican territory.

The Attack on Madrid
With a large Republican force leaving for the west to the Portuguese border, military intelligence agreed that an attack on Madrid would be opportune. Thus emboldened, 50,000 Nationalist forces began the march on Madrid. Screened by the air force, little resistance by air was encountered by the marching soldiers. Bombers began runs on Madrid. On their march, the Nationals recruited some 5,000 volunteers to liberate the ancestral Spanish capital. Combined with the volunteers, some 55,000 patriots are marching on the den of thieves. A further 100,000 soldiers have circled around Madrid to the east, intending to flank the capital from the east and south. In Toledo, the garrison of 30,000 soldiers have been drilling since the start of the war and are prepared to aid in the march on Madrid once the main army lays siege to the city.

The Northern Frontier
20,000 soldiers have departed Galicia to wipe out the feeble, isolated Republican resistance in the north. The small pocket of resistance along the coast is expected to fall quickly and from there, the Army of Galicia will start to advance on Asturias.

Hitler's plane landed and to a cheering crowd, Hitler, his wife, Joseph Goebbels, and Hermann Göring steps out of the plane. Hitler then saluted and then 2 SS officers followed. They then walked to a nearby hotel to stay until the preparations for the speech was done. "How's the propaganda doing, Goebbels?" Hitler asked, opening his suitcase. "Slowly but surely, it's doing good." Replied Goebbels. "1,000 men have enlisted this month alone." "Good." Replied Hitler.
The next day, the preparations was finished and Hitler walked up to the podium.
"Today, my fellow Spanish counterparts, Germany will enter. We will protect our ideology, our culture, our traditions from democracy." He said. "Democracy is evil. It destroys entire nations because the government is basically useless in a democracy and no government means anarchy."

Belweder Palace, Warsaw, Poland...

Naczelnik Józef Piłsudski stared at the map of his dreamed Intermarium, a Polish-led Federation which would topple the damned communists and the Russians. However Józef knew that he would need allies if he was to achieve this and that was why he was writing two letters. One to Benito Mussolini, a man who's career mirrored Józef's almost to the T and the other to Francisco Franco who was fighting a righteous revolution against the ruling Republicans.

Prime Minister Benito Mussolini,

If it would please you I would like the chance to speak with you on the possibility of bringing our two nations closer together and to speak on current events which concern both our proud nations. If it pleases you I can come to Rome for this meeting so as to make it more convenient for you.

Sincerely,
Józef Piłsudski

Francisco Franco,

I send this message to you to congratulate you on your glorious revolution against those Communist Republicans and to wish you well in the coming campaign. I also wish to inform you that 100,000 Polish soldiers are being mobilized with my intention to bring them to your aid as soon as I can secure their transport to Spain. Perhaps when it suits you the two of us may meet to discuss the future of our two nations.

Sincerely,
Józef Piłsudski

Ok. We will meet in Rome maybe sometime next year. I just started becoming Chancellor! But I have reduced I have reduced the people who are going to be at the meeting. So it's probably just going to be my, Hermann Göring, and Joseph Goebbels.

Villa Torlonia, Rome, Italy

In the late afternoon, Benito Mussolini was in his office looking over economic reports when a courier arrived, handing the Duce two letters from world leaders: one from Poland, and one from Germany. The Italian Prime Minister looked over the Polish letter first. "I can certainly sympathize with Mr. Piłsudski," Mussolini remarked. "We have similar beliefs and governing styles. A meeting would work quite well. Just so we can discuss things before committing to anything."

Image
To: Józef Piłsudski, Naczelnik of Poland
From: Benito Mussolini, Prime Minister of Italy

Greetings, great leader!

I can definitely relate to you and your struggle; we are both military men, and we have similar beliefs about governing. I think a meeting between our two nations would be wise. I would approve of your visit to Rome, and I will agree to host you at my state residence at the Villa Torlonia in Rome. I look forward to meeting with you, and may God bless the Republic of Poland!

Signed, Benito Mussolini

Secondly, another letter from Hitler had arrived. "A year, eh?" Mussolini questioned. "Well, that'll work. That should give me plenty of time to meet with Piłsudski first. Looks like it's all planned out."

Hail, great Chancellor!

A year will work well for me. We shall still meet at the Quirinal Palace in Rome. I have many things I would like to discuss with you. Until then, I wish you the best of luck in your term as Chancellor, and I look forward to meeting yourself, Mr. Göring, and Mr. Goebbels.

Signed, Benito Mussolini

Cartagena, Republican Spain

Elsewhere, Italian forces had arrived to assist the Spanish Nationalists. The Corpo Truppe Volontarie made a landing just outside of the Republican city of Cartagena. A siege of the city from both land and sea began, with General Mario Roatta also sending a message to the commander of the city garrison, demanding their surrender.

OOC: A bit rushed, so I apologize for that

Tokyo
Japan

The Emperor was consulting with his Imperial advisors on the situation in East Asia; with his alliance with the British gone, due to American pressure, Japan found itself out of any sort of alliance. Now, as China and the Soviet Union continued to remain threats to the Empire Japan had found itself growing closer with nations such as Italy, who had been cheated out of land during the Great War. Even so, they wouldn't be able to help much in case all out war broke out in Asia; the simple fact still remained. Japan needed allies. The United States was out, due to conflicting interests in the Pacific; the same with Britain, who preferred better relations with the US rather than Japan. China was not a viable option due to the fact that the nations had had a history of tension, which wasn't helped by the Mukden incident and the invasion of Manchuria. Japan couldn't exactly return it, either; it would be a sign of weakness for the Empire, and humiliate the Emperor as well as the Imperial government. The only nation that was left was the Soviet Union; both nations had conflicting interests but unlike China the two nations had not had a long history of tension and the Emperor was confident that he would be able to strike a deal with them.

Even so, the Soviet Union and Japan had different governments that followed different ideologies but they had one common enemy: China. It was in both of their interests to keep China divided for as long as possible, since a strong China could threaten both country's interests. After nearly half an hour of heated discussion the Emperor had made up his mind- he himself would send a message to the Soviet Union asking for a non-aggression pact and a meeting between Soviet and Japanese representatives to discuss various matters include the improvement of Soviet-Japanese relations.

To: Josef Stalin
From: Emperor Hirohito

Greetings esteemed leader of the Soviet Union, I have sent you the message in the hopes that both of our nations - the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and the Empire of Japan - will be able to thrive in peace, through a mutual non-aggression pact. I believe that this will be mutually beneficial for both of our nations; I will offer to carve up Manchuria, which is currently occupied by Japanese troops, between our Sphere of influences. Northern Manchuria will go to the Soviet Union while the Southern half of Manchuria will remain under Japanese control. To help map out the lines which will separate Northern Manchuria to Southern Manchuria I also request a meeting, at the place of your choosing, between Soviet and Japanese representatives to discuss it. If you choose to accept, then I hope this will usher in a new era of peace and prosperity between our two nations.

Sincerely,
Emperor Hirohito

To: Benito Mussolini
From: Hato Akaido

I apologize for the late response, but the meeting has been decided by the Japanese government to be held in 2 weeks, in Seoul. A Japanese representative - Masutora Homma - will meet with Ciano there. Full directions to the place of the meeting will be given to you when you arrive. Keep in mind that Homma served as a military attaché to Great Britain for 2 years and has a thorough knowledge as well as interest of Western culture and the politics of various European nations. We look forward for this opportunity to improve both of our nations standings as well as relations.

Sincerely,
Hato Akaido

From Nationalist Spain
To Poland

Józef Piłsudski,

I humbly accept your pledge of 100,000 troops, and thank you for them. I will dispatch my ships to the Polish coast and bring them back here. Or, if you prefer, you can arrange to transport by other means. When this conflict is over, you and I will meet in person to discuss the problems of this world. Until that time, however, I am needed here to combat the Republicans.

Francisco Franco

Emperor Hirohito,

Great Emperor, I greet you with my utmost respect. Your nation has a long and storied history of isolation, but in recent decades this tradition has been broken. Continuing on this new path, I would ask your assistance in our conflict against the Republicans. As you are on the other side of the world, I can understand that there would be no military assistance. However, I would request trade with only National Spain and a declaration of support for us. In return, when we win this war, Spain will become Japan's greatest European ally.

Rising Fire

"There comes a time, when you see the embers from the fire of war shine so bright...
...That it can no longer be left alone, and MUST be STAMPED out."

That time is now.

It was a eerily silent day in the office of Eisenhower, who stood behind a window watching the neatly kept, and groomed lawn of the orderly base he lived on. He and the president knew just what was laying on the horizon. In a way, the American people themselves knew, along with the whole world what was soon to come. But Roosevelt had gone to preparation early, in response to the growing horizon he had worked closely with Eisenhower to begin bringing the US economy into a state of preparedness for war. Never before had a president and supreme commander worked so closely. Although the stakes have never been quite as high. Together they formed a system to ration precious goods, and materials in the American populous, on the guise of "What if?". They turned the massive American industrial machine, into a massive war machine, churning out war goods that would be unrivaled by any other nation. They even created many jobs, by making a powerful pro-American propaganda machine, inflating the already massive Army, and creating incentives for more to join. The American nation was ready for a state of war, but when. Was the ultimate question...

The general moved to sit down behind his desk and begin reviewing letters, and proposals that could and may wind up being sent to the president for approval...but he found one that was meant for his approval. Slowly he opened a manila folder and saw the clear sight of military class documents. The title read "OPERATION: DELIVERANCE".

Back in the oval office, the President was sitting at his desk, simply reviewing a few documents. As he slowly rolled his wheelchair back Roosevelt wiped his glasses with a handkerchief. Before wheeling himself over to a telegraph station. He had planned to do this, but now it seemed he had no choice. With swift haste, he began to send a telegraph across the ocean... one that would change everything.

ATTENTION;IMPORTANT.MESSAGE;
DIRECT-TO;PRIME.MINISTER.CHURCHILL;;
-
-
SUBJECT;CONCERNS;

It has come to my attention, that the fires of war rise in the European continent, as a direct result of several inhabitants. It is for this reason, on behalf of the American people, we declare full solidarity with our ally great Britain, and her Commonwealth. As a direct result, I had several contracts that will offer industry goods including but not limited to; Food Stuffs, Small Armaments, Oil, Aircraft, Self-Propelled Armor, and Or dance, on a basis of credit. You will not be required to crack into the industry, however when the time arises you may pay for these goods when the future is clear from conflict.

Also, out of strong suggestion, from myself, supreme commander Eisenhower, and congress it is a strong belief that American forces should begin to be stationed in Whales, safe from harm from the mainland. To act as a defensive, and expeditionary force should the need arise.

It should go without additional commend Prime Minister, that the contents of this letter should never be discussed outside of your Parliament.

Your truly,
President Franklin D. Roosevelt

From:King Zog I of Albania

Greetings,great Prime Minister of Italy

The city of Canton, the birthplace of the Cantonese Chinese dialect, is in middle of a Sino-Japanese fight. 2000 Cantonese Chinese citizens and 2800 Japanese citizens scuffled over ethnic issues. The scuffle led to 400 deaths and 200 injuries as the Chinese riot police and the Chinese Communist Party militants together crushed the scuffle.

Villa Torlonia, Rome, Italy

It was just after lunch, and Prime Minister Benito Mussolini was reading an Agatha Christie novel. "Oh, that clever Poirot," Mussolini said to himself.

However, Mussolini was soon interrupted by a messenger. "Letters from Japan and Albania," the courier announced.

The Italian dictator nodded and took the letters. "Thank you," he said. Mussolini open the letter from Hato Akaido first. "Well, looks like everything is set. I'll dispatch Grandi and Ciano to Seoul at once." Mussolini then put down the letter and opened up the message from King Zog.

"A Non-Aggression Pact?" Mussolini questioned after he finished examining the message. "Surely they're joking? Do they really think they can avoid hostility at this point? King Zog is a fool if he thinks he can avoid the inevitable invasion. Still, I could put off war with Albania in favor of attacking Yugoslavia. Tough choice. Either way, I think this must be discussed with the Albanians."
