Tarazed wrote:Lanvin heard Titan start her approach, while he was somewhat puzzled that she hadn't been thrown back very far as a result of the telekinetic blast, he did know that she was charging at him.

Fast.

Lanvin was about to blink when an idea struck him; he remembered that there had been a roof support column just behind him - one of approximately 12 on this section of the floor. Which he could definitely use to his advantage, mainly since it was obvious that he could in no way stand up to the punches that Titan's momentum would allow her to deliver.

Without a moment to lose, Lanvin decided that it was either now or never to give his teleportation power a test run - albeit a test run in combat conditions. He concentrated deeply on a point in the room just behind where Titan was and willed himself there; a return of the overwhelming disorientation signalled that his efforts had been successful as Lanvin vanished from where he'd been standing before staggering back from another position across the room.

He shook his head as his vision blurred slightly.

That was going to take some getting used to.

He turned to face Titan as she charged towards where he'd been standing nanoseconds before; only now she was running face first into a support column.

If he repeated this a few times then the tables would turn drastically in his favour - more so than they already were. The roof collapsing would certainly limit Titan's mobility at least and completely pin and trap her under a pile of rubble at best.

Titan charged forward at Lanvin, and before she could reach him, he was gone, Titan stopped and paused in her tracks as she looked around. Lanvin had teleported a bit from her, she jetted forward at him again, though to the same result. 'you want to play, well let's play', Titan thought as she continued to jet after Lanvin, him teleported as the chase continued around the yard, Titan smashed through a Brick wall, an empty cement truck, and finally they headed towards building. Lanvin teleported between some beams, Titan smashed through, nearly getting Lanvin, however he teleported behind some more beams. Titan continued to smash through to try to get Lanvin, but after a 5th time, she looked around to try to see him.

Titan finally spotted Lanvin out from under the building, then heard a groan come from the building above her.

He jumped up with Tomia in his arms, very high in the air, and began observing his surroundings. He could make it to a hospital in reasonable time, or atleast he thought so. The child could take city destroying blasts so they could probably last long enough for him to find a hospital.
With that in mind his body began rapidly accelerating with Tomia in his arms. Occasionally landing as he would kick off again.

As she was carried through the air, Tomia felt her sobbing begin to subside, her chest rapidly rising and falling as numbness spread up her arms and legs. How much longer did she need to hang on? How long could she? When was her Father, the one who was alway supposed to be there for her, coming to save her?

Black Hand - Anarcho - Sony

Black Hand fired an explosive Crossbow Dart, blowing up the jeep infront of the convoy sending the truck quickly skidding to a halt.

"Go time!" Anarcho yelled as he took out his 2 Vektor Sub Machine guns, quickly running up to the truck, he jumped off of a large chunk of the jeep, flipping before landing infront of the convoy truck. Anarcho fired a few shots, killing the passenger, however the driver was protected by bulletproof glass. "F*CK" the driver yelled as he floored it, promptly running over Anarcho as he smashed through the jeep, "owowowowowowowowowowowowowowowow" Anarcho continued to say as he held onto the bottom fo the truck, trying to climb to the side. Black hand saw the truck drive off, "Crap, Sony, go and stop the truck" Black Hand yelled to Sony, who nodded and jumped after the escaping Iron Mountain truck. Black Hand looked over to Alice, "Can you fight?", "What's to say I shouldn't fight you?", Black Hand looked over to Alice, "1.), Because you aren't skilled enough to take me down, 2.) these guys are drug trafficking murderers, who's the evil one here?".

Alice raised her eyebrows as she thought about it, "Good point", Black Hand nodded as he dropped down, hipshooting his crossbow and blowing up the second jeep, using his other hand to shoot his pistol, capping 2 Iron Mountain security in the head. Black Hand quickly put the crossbow in a sling on his back, taking out his crowbar he meet the approaching Security personal, smacking one over the head and grabbing his head in his arm pit. Black Hand then knciekd another security personal, firing his pistol shooting him dead on the ground. 3 more Iron Mountain security came from behind the destroyed jeep, aiming their assault rifles at Black Hand, they were then thrown off their footing as a large crate came from behind Black Hand and knocked them all down. Black Hand looked behind him, to see Alice standing there, "That was fun" Black Hand nodded, dropping onto his back, smacking the security personal's head on the ground knocking him out.

Anarcho used one of his axes to pierce the side of the truck as it sped through the streets, pulling himself up with his free hand and taking out his other axe, using them as makeshift climbing tools. Anarcho pulled himself to the top of the truck, where 2 Security personal stood, half hanging on. "Relaxing ride isn't it" Anarcho said, kneeing one of them, he then swung his axe, crudely cutting the Security Personal's head off, Anarcho them kicked it, hitting the other Security man in the head, causing him to fall off the truck. Anarcho cracked his shoulder, "I, Am, An BOS-" he was cut off when Sony dropped infront of the truck, causing it to immediately crash into him and stop, Anarcho getting propelled off and crashing through the windshield of an oncoming car. Anarcho climbed out onto the hood of the car, looking back at a terrified woman he said, "Nice ride", before dropping off and running to the back of the truck, breaking the lock with one of his axes and opening it up.

The truck was full of drugs, cocaine, crystal meth, and so much more all pilled into fairly neat containers, along with a slew of weapons crates. Anarcho put away his axes and rubbed his hands together, "What do you think? how big do you think this stuff will fly if we blow it up", Sony cocked his head as he looked at Anarcho, "Don't answer that". Anarcho quickly contacted Black hand with his earpiece, "Yo, scary mask, we found a crap ton of stuff in the truck, what now?". "Right now, you're gonna get on your knees and beg for mercy" Anarcho and Sony looked behind them to see Tyrannt, with a slew of Iron Mountain Security Personal and vehicles all aiming at them, Tyrannt stepped forward, Anarcho looked around, "Do you think flashing your private army d*ck in broad daylight is a bit dangerous?". Tyrannt shook his head as he chuckled, "You mean, the Iron Mountain Security Firm coming in to stop A Sociopathic Vigilante, A crazed internationally wanted mercenary, and a dangerous Ogre who just attacked an Iron Mountain supplies transport", " A Transport full of drugs" Anarcho took a few steps forward, gesturing to the truck with his right arm. Tyrannt lowered his free left hand, an Iron Mountain APC fired a round, destroying the truck into smithereens, "Oh you Sonuvabich", "ENough talk, time to die".

Tyrannt fired a few shots with his pistol, right before 75 Highly equipped iron Mountain Security Personal moved forward infront of him, firing their rifles as Tyrannt dissapeared into the crowd. "BRING IT" Anarcho yelled as he pulled out his SMGs, beginning to cut down the Security men as they came, Sony roared, slamming his fists down and sending 15 of them flying back. 2 Iron Mountain jeeps armed with turrets, and an APC moved to cover the right flank, firing at ANarcho and Sony causing them to fall back, ["Blacky, We've got trouble"], ["So do I, we need to fall back, loose the heat and meet up at the Bunker"]. Anarcho whistled, Sony noticed and dipped his head, Anarcho pulled out his LMG and jumped on Sony's back, firing his LMG at the Security personal. Sony jumped off of the bridge onto the Highway, roaring and sending the cars vering away from them, Sony jumped, landing on a far off bridge, and jumping again and landing on a side street.

Tyrannt watched as the Ogre and his insane piggybackrider raced off, the remaining Security personal fanning out and securing the area. Tyrannt recieved a call, "Brandon, we were unable to kill the Ogre and the mercenary, the Vigilante and some woman who helped him fleed aswell", ["They're trying to work their way to our Headquarters, so let's let them. Leave a hole in our defences so they may attack our tower"], "why the f*ck would you want that?", ["So that we may enclose and suffocate them, now follow my orders"]. Tyrannt paused, "yes sir", Tyrannt ended the call, looking off to where the Ogre had jumped off to.

I N T E R M I S S I O N
WHERE DRAGONS RULE

Two figures fade into view

"Welcome, ladies and gentlemen of NationStates. I'm Mars." The first comments as he straightens his tie.

"And I'm Kiris!" The second says cheerfully, waving her claws in the air.

"And tonight we're here to talk about what we're paid to describe as the best story arc ever." Mars states.

"Which it probably is." Kiris points out.

"Of course, of course. Anyway, for those of you who might not know, Where Dragons Rule is a story arc for the roleplay Infinite Justice, designed and written by our lord and savior, Nick Furry." Mars explains as a portrait appears on the screen.

"He's the cutest secret agent ever!" Kiris exclaims. Mars coughs a little.

"Kiris, focus please." He pleads

"Oh, of course." She responds. "The arc is, by the admission of our fuzzy messiah himself, partially inspired by a popular song of the same name belonging to British Power Metal band Dragonforce."

"Which is apparently also the namesake of one of the most important cosmic forces in the world of Infinite Justice." Mars remarks.

"Yup! Doctor Furry sure likes music." Kiris comments

"He's a doctor now?" He asks.

"He's everything, Mars. Anyways, the original plan was to have each installment correspond to a song from the band, but sadly, that didn't pan out. Still, it is a very successful arc, with the number of readers far surpassing... Um..." Kiris trails off and looks at Mars, who shrugs awkwardly. "Uh, anyway, it has tons of readers!" She assures.

"The premise of the arc is an universe oppressed by corrupted versions of the World-Dragons we all know and admire. Set five years after the infamous Builder War where many of Infinite Justice's characters began to shine brightly, Where Dragons Rule displays a hopeless, enslaved Earth where only those aligned with the evil Dragon Lords can survive. Shortly after the Builder War, the World-Dragon Hadrimmelis-" Mars explains, cutting off as he hears Kiris squeeing.

"She's awesome!" Kiris exclaims, before noticing Mars staring at her. "Sorry..." She says awkwardly, prompting him to continue.

"Ahem, the World-Dragon Hadrimmelis goes missing, along with seemingly every other World-Dragon known--not that the others have had too much of an impact in the roleplay--and shortly afterwards, the Dragon Lords appear, twisted versions of the benevolent creators that preceded them. Led by a superpowerful being known only as The Tyrant, their only purpose seems to be the oppression and destruction of every civilization in the universe, and they soon make their intentions known. Interstellar empires such as the Kree don't last long, and even the Oans are single-handedly defeated by The Tyrant." Mars continues.

"He sounds really scary..." Kiris mumbles.

"Yeah, and that's not the worst part." Mars remarks.

"Indeed. When the Dragon Lords get to Earth, the tragedy continues. Superman, Thor, S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Praetorians all fall to them. Valka closes the gates of Asgard to plan revenge for Odin's son. Xander is no longer allowed to babysit the world and is thrown into the dimension of the Dragon Lords. However, not all is lost. Five years after the Builder War, there is an extensive underground movement determined to free Earth from the yoke of the Dragons: the Rebellion." Kiris announces, as three portraits appear on the screen.

"Led by Commander Garnet Greyson in Asia."

"Commander Sarah Grimm in Europe."

"And finally, General Gilbert Graham in America. Because of course the leader of the whole thing would be here."

"Now now, don't be like that." Kiris chides him. "The general is first seen taking a report from a young soldier slash healer, whose appearance is a shout out to a 2015 NationStates roleplay called Pandora's Requiem, where Mister Furry also participated."

"What about his doctorate?!" Mars interrupts. Kiris frowns.

"Mars, focus, please." She tells him, shutting him up with a taste of his own medicine. "Throughout the scene we get to see a glimpse of the Rebellion and the situation it's going through, and get to hear some names of the ones working with Graham, names that we'll likely hear more of in the future."

"That's not everything, though. In the next scene, we see the ruined capital of Shamra, home to the creatively named Shamrans and to the Shattar, who are nowhere to be seen. We get a glimpse of the elite troopers of the Dragon Lords, the Hadrians, renamed Enforcers, divided in Muses and Banshees. We get to find out how strong they are after razing down Mireshar under the command of a Dragon, and we're shown a high-ranking Muse in particular, who sports a pink braid and a pair of wings." Mars adds.

"Oooh, I think I know her! Although... Wings?" Kiris scratches her head.

"Yes, Kiris, you heard right, wings. We also see Charles Crawler, codename Manifest-" Mars begins, but is interrupted.

"How do you even know that?" She asks him.

"The producers told me. Anyway, we see Manifest, who has apparently abandoned the path of justice and become a lowly mercenary for the Dragon Lords, although a very powerful one, given how defeated Ronan and subjugated the Annihilation Wave by himself."

"He really is a meanie. And speaking of meanies, the last segment of the first episode shows us the twelve Dragon Lords feasting in Tyrannia, which is obviously the dormant form of The Tyrant. Not much detail is shared in this part, but we get to see the human form that the Tyrant opts to take on when not conquering worlds, and we also get to see how mad he seems to be." Kiris states as an image appears onscreen.

"He may be crazy, but he's not really bad-looking..." She remarks, before being interrupted.

"Kiris!" Mars shouts, but he does not know what else to say and simply stands there, blushing in embarrassment at his fit of jealousy.

"U-umm, sorry... Anyways, the next installment takes us straight to China. The Chinese were among the first to ally with the Dragon Lords, making things harder for the Rebellion, but even then, they managed to squeeze their way in. Good for them! The troops under Commander Greyson's orders are apparently trying to gather the shards of Mjolnir, which was broken when Thor was killed by the Dragon Lords." Kiris resumes, trying to ignore the awkward moment they had just been through, on air no less.

"For what purpose, we don't know, but it must be something pretty important, because we see the rebels ready to give everything to make sure the shard is transferred to Japan safely. After a rousing speech from the local commander, who only appears in this scene, the troops are emboldened. But they were not ready to face the enemy chasing them, an evil half-yokai who went by the name of Demon King. Using his magic sword, he cuts through most of the base's forces with ease, and though the commander manages to blind him and knock him out, in the end no one survives. However, the shard of Mjolnir safely reaches Japan." Mars explains.

"Wow... Poor people..." Kiris speaks grimly, and Mars pats her on the shoulder.

"Poor people is basically the subtitle of the arc. Regardless, want to talk about what happens on Shamra?" He suggests.

"Oh! Of course. This segment is a continuation of the one that took place in Mireshar in the previous episode. The only ones present anymore are Manifest and the Golden Dragon Lord, Mirennú." She states as yet another picture appears.

"Pretentious prick." Mars scoffs. Kiris giggles.

"I know, right? Anyways, Mirennú and Manifest talk about the war against the New Gods and the fate of Annihilus, and the Dragon Lord concocts a cruel plan: using Annihilus as cannon fodder, he sends Mr. Crawler to attack New Genesis and crush the alliance between Uxas and Izaya. The outcome of this campaign, though, is only seen in later installments, run parallel to the main story by Silhouette of Adventure, the man with the silly name." She says, Mars barely holding back a chuckle.

"That's not the only thing that happens there, though." He points out.

"It isn't?" Kiris questions, surprised.

"Not at all, Kiris. Mirennú also rewards Manifest with a certain rose brooch that readers of the Builder War are likely familiar with, the brooch that Manifest gave Hadrimmelis on their farewell, after the war. Clearly, it no longer means anything to the man formerly known as Charles Crawler, who breaks it without a second thought to claim the power within." He explains.

"WHAAAAT?! Weasel! Scoundrel! He should burn at the staaaaaake!" She shouts vehemently. Mars shakes his head.

"Kiris please, calm down..." He mumbles, and Kiris complies.

"Oh, um, sorry... Anyway, the last segment of this installment takes us back to the Gotham City Headquarters, where we see yet another member of the Rebellion. But it's not any of the ones mentioned previously. No, this one is a cyborg, Cora!" Kiris cheers as a picture appears.

"I wonder if this means we'll see more of the Justice Queens in the future?" Mars asks thoughtfully.

"I sure hope so. They're pretty cool! Not as cool as the Young Bloods though. Either way, in this scene Cora receives a call from the Gotham City Defenders, another insurgent group led by Henry Boxer. The narrative cuts to the General, who is reminiscing about his lost wife before receiving the call from Cora and beginning negotiations with the Gotham City Defender. The Defenders eventually join the Rebellion after a short meeting that we will be skipping over due to budget issues. Sorry, folks. The next few issues are exciting ones, though!" Kiris nods enthusiastically.

"Yeah. In fact, the very next one shows us the Battle of Mireshar in more detail from the perspective of Arnulgaar, the Red King, who describes the massacre that took place within the city's walls. Unable to die, the Shattar were instead imprisoned into the Dragon Force Dimension." Mars continues.

"Like Xander, Mars?" Kiris inquires, curious.

"Yes, Kiris, like Xander. Who knows, perhaps it'll come into play later." He responds. "After the introductory section, we see a world that has been torn apart into nineteen individual segments, all of them barren and lifeless, floating around an artificial black hole. It is soon revealed that this so-called 'dismembered world' is none other than Oa, home of the Guardians of the Universe and the Green Lanterns, which was broken down by The Tyrant in order to remind him of his victory."

"Wow, that's cruel... and petty." She says quietly.

"Indeed. The Tyrant isn't a nice character, that much is certain." He replies.

"In that scene, we also get to see two new characters, who appear to be discussing the state of the universe and conspiring against The Tyrant, clearly not content with their rule. The twist here is that both of them are Dragon Lords, or rather, Dragon Ladies. Their names are Astillis and Irkallis." Kiris continues as yet another series of images appear on screen.

"They don't look that evil, but I'm sure they're not innocent if they're on the side of the Dragon Lords, nevermind their conspiracy." Mars states with a frown.

"Who knows? Maybe they were scared." Kiris suggests.

"I doubt it." He replies.

"Fiiiine. Well, the scene ends with the implication that a chunk of Oa was somehow stolen, and then the focus shifts to Ark." She continues.

"Ark is a hollow world, much like Earth is according to a certain popular crackpot theory on the internet, except its structure is explained through the sheer power of The Tyrant, rather than pseudoscience. It is the world where the Muses and Banshees live. The scene paints us a very detailed image of what it is like to be an Enforcer, of what it is like to live in Ark, and also provide some insight regarding the world's history, which logically does not span more than five years. Though rather mundane from a storytelling perspective, as the scene consists of the mystery Muse arriving in Ark and fetching some food for herself and an unknown companion, it is rich in worldbuilding." Mars explains.

"The last part of this episode is a small reflection in the General's mind, followed by the beginning of the meeting with Boxer in the Ace Chemicals building, which, as we've already explained, ends with the Gotham City Defenders joining the Rebellion." Kiris notes.

"A surprising thing, considering how rude the Runner acted over the phone, though I guess in the end he wasn't so bad." Mars comments, with Kiris nodding.

"Yeah... Well, the next episode starts out sad... And a little gruesome. In the introduction, we see a so far unknown Hadrian acting as a bounty hunter in order to keep afloat her tribe, which was rejected by the others on account of being too violent. She details what her life was like after the disappearance of the World-Dragons, and has an encounter with The Tyrant after becoming bloodlusted and killing her target. However, instead of fighting him, she joins him, becoming the Hand of The Tyrant, the first and most powerful of the Enforcers." She carries on.

"That's a creepy scene if I've ever seen one. Luckily, the next one takes us back to a familiar location: Ark. The scene is the same as before, with the Muse arriving at her room and throwing one of two plastic bags in, which apparently serves as an excuse for us to meet the other person there, who... Oh, wow. That's an older me! It was about time one of us got some spotlight, right Kiris?" Mars asks, but there's no answer. "Kiris?" He asks again, catching her attention.

"Wha-Huh? Oh, sorry." She says at last after quietly staring at the onscreen image of older Mars for a while, wiping a bit of drool from the corner of her mouth. "Um, anyway, this marks the first appearance of a Young Blood in the arc. Yay!" She says cheerfully. "Meanwhile, the Muse attempts to convince him that the food she brought is not harmful in any way, which seems to hint at a rather tense relationship between her and the human. After being successful, she takes off her armor and helmet, and..." Kiris says and then pauses.

"Holy mackerel, Kiris, that's you!" Mars exclaims, pointing at an onscreen image of the Muse.

"I HAVE WINGS?!?!?!?!" She shouts out excitedly.

"Looks like it, Kiris." Mars tells her as she simply beams at her older self. He chuckles and continues. "As the segment goes on, we learn more and more about those two, finding out that Kirisvala rescued Mars three years ago, in defiance of the rules of the Dragon Lords."

"We also find out that the food establishment my older me visited is basically a space Burger King." Kiris remarks. Mars facepalms loudly. Sighing, he continues.

"Anyway... The scene concludes with a heartfelt moment between the two, and-" Mars suddenly cuts off, as if surprised. Neither him nor Kiris say anything for a bit. "Ah... It concludes showing that... Um... The two... Get along really well." He says unconvincingly. Suddenly, a clip of the exact moment where they kiss appears onscreen, and both he and Kiris blush brightly. Neither says anything for several moments, until another picture appears onscreen.

"Oh, right! Umm..." Kiris begins, trying to shake off her embarrassment. "The next scene takes us to Asgard, the Realm Eternal. All-Mother Valka is revealed as the one who snatched the nineteenth piece of Oa from its place around the black hole, and seems to be looking for something within the Sciencells created by the Guardians of the Universe. The Asgardians seem to have lost their fire, but they make up for it with their determination to see the Dragon Lords fall. Eventually, at the end of the scene, we see Valka emerge from the last Sciencell with something in hand, a black orb that was formerly known as The MadGod Sector 3600." She explains as a detailed profile appears onscreen.

"Man, what a twist." Mars comments.

"I know right? I wonder what she's up to. This arc is exciting!" She replies, jumping up and down. "Oh! But now, a message from our sponsors."

A snowy background fades into view

The screen cuts to a happy couple on the throne room of the Inhuman Palace in Attilan. "Thanks to Necrosanta Foundation, I was able to spend Christmas with my husband." Medusa says as she smiles at the camera.

The background changes to the Hadrian neighborhood in Travenios, with the crystal tree easily visible. "We're all very happy with what we've got. Thanks, Necrosanta Foundation!" A group of Hadrians and humans shouts as they say hello at the camera, along with their deceased relatives.

The scene shifts to the living room of a Japanese house, with a woman in a wheelchair at the front, and two blondes, one young and the other old, happily conversing on a sofa nearby. "One of my son's new friends was able to catch up with her mother on the holidays, all thanks to Necrosanta Foundation." The wheelchair-bound woman smiles softly at the camera.

The snowy background returns. A boy walks into view wearing a Santa Claus outfit while a Christmas carol plays.

"Merry Christmas!" He waves, smiling

"Wow, that sounds like a really nice option for some families that have lost members recently. And that's such a cute kid! Don't you think so, Mars?" Kiris asks, before looking at Mars, who seems to be writing down a number in his phone.

"Hmm? Uh, yeah, of course. Anyway, onto the next episode, shall we?" Mars suggests. Kiris nods.

"And speaking of that, the next two episodes are a bit different than the rest. They're written by The Silhouette of Adventure, rather than the mexican kitten we all love. Despite not being as high-quality as the works produced by Professor Furry himself, they're pretty thrilling and quite important to the development of the mercenary extraordinaire of the Dragon Lords, isn't that right, Mars?" Kiris asks him.

"Now he's a professor...?" He mumbles to himself. "Ah, er, I mean, yes, of course Kiris. The mini-arc begins with a meeting between the dwellers of New Genesis and the forces of Apokolips, the silliest-named realm in history. We can see the uneasy truce that has been born between the two factions, formerly antagonistic, and we are given a recount of the losses that the New Gods have faced in their war against the Dragon Lords. The meeting is interrupted when Desaad detects the ships of the Negative Zone approaching, and two New Gods are dispatched to investigate, though they are quickly dispatched by Ravenous of the Annihilation Wave. Uxas himself heads out to deal with Ravenous, but, in a surprising twist, the meeting hall of the New Gods and all those within are destroyed just as he leaves." He explains, glancing at Kiris.

"The mini-arc continues as Darkseid looks back at the meeting hall, realizing that his allies are dead and that his sworn enemy was taken from him. Manifest, the man behind the death of the New Gods, orders the Annihilation Wave to pull back, and then engages Darkseid in combat. The two seem evenly matched, with Darkseid being stronger than Charles despite the latter's versatile powers, but in the end Manifest is able to claim victory by tricking Uxas and trapping him in some sort of highly advanced matrix, ending the arc with him boasting that he killed Darkseid." Kiris finishes.

"Isn't that cheap? He didn't even kill him, he just trapped him... Uh, somewhere." Mars comments.

"Well, that's Manifest for you. He's cheap and stupid and doesn't deserve to be on the arc." She responds, upset.

"...You're still angry about Hadri's brooch, aren't you?" Mars asks.

"YES! HE SHOULD-" The sound is cut off. Kiris is seen seemingly throwing a tantrum onscreen. The sound returns.

"Ahem, the next chapter begins with a gruesome account of the subjugation of the Hadrians, from the mouth of the Muse Kirisvala herself." Mars resumes.

"Wow... That's pretty harsh... She sounds really sad..." Kiris comments, shivering. Mars takes a moment to hug her.

"Better, Kiris?" He asks with concern. She nods.

"Y-yeah, much better, thanks... A-anyways, the episode continues by displaying a bleak, barren dimension with only the occasional rock floating across it. This is what has become of the Dragon Force Dimension, though nobody knows why it became this way. Trapped on it are four of the Shattar defeated in Mireshar: Erlinmaar the Cruel, Isdragaar the Selfish, Arnulgaar the Just and Lucismaar the Faithful." She counts with her claws as the four corresponding portraits appear onscreen.

Both Kiris and Mars pause for a moment as they stare at the second and fourth pictures, respectively, before crossing their gazes and awkwardly turning away.

"Err... These four Shattar are seen interacting while within the Dragon Force Dimension. The other five likely fail to appear due to budget constraints." Mars explains after a moment.

"I guess even a fuzzy little God has problems dealing with capitalism." Kiris muses (an ironic choice of words).

"Yeah. Regardless, after seeing the others bicker for a while, the Yellow Queen, Lucismaar, decides that they aren't going to do anything productive and instead heads off to investigate a rhythmic thumping she hears echoing through the empty air. Her quest leads her to the now corrupted Great Temple of the World-Dragons, and there, banging on a mysterious blue door, she finds none other than the Golden Guardian, Xander Smith, who is desperately trying to break the door while he thinks of his beloved Naja." Mars continues.

"Say what you will about his totalitarian tendencies, but he sure is loyal." Kiris remarks.

"Indeed. As for the next segment, it begins with a lengthy description of the realm of Nidavellir, home of the dwarves in Norse mythological world. The dwarves are feasting in their palace, but all of the sudden, the All-Mother storms in, causing them all to turn her attention to her. After a rather threatening exchange, Valka orders Sindri and the dwarves to merge the black orb that she recovered from Oa and the legendary Odinsword in order to make a weapon capable of taking down the Dragon Lords." Mars explains.

"Wooow, she's a badass!" Kiris states.

"Well, it helps a lot that she wasn't killed offscreen or something like that." Mars remarks.

"Oh, yeah, I guess that's true. We owe it to Mister Furry, then. What does the next segment hold, Mars?" Kiris asks.

"Ah, good question. Let's see..." Mars appears to look at a teleprompter. "We're once more taken back to Ark. It is night time according to the artificial conventions of the Enforcers, and Mars is just waking up after... Uh..." Mars trails off and both he and Kiris fall silent and turn red like tomatoes, with Kiris running off. "God, yes! Er... Well, the point is that he wakes up and starts working on some weapons disguised as random machines. The whole segment is mostly worldbuilding, really, no need to stop on it too long..." He half-mumbles after a bit, still blushing. He pauses.

"Anyway, the next part, now that's worth talking about. In it, we see Commander Greyson, the Fist of the Rebellion, riding through Japan on her Phantom Horse, heading towards an Enforcer-guarded base, apparently planning to take it on by herself. Why is that almost all blondes are badasses in this roleplay?" Mars wonders. "As Garnet reaches a field of cherry blossoms, however, she is attacked by a mysterious opponent."

"I thought this was a roleplay? Did we wander into a manga?" Kiris asks from offscreen. Mars chuckles.

"Who knows? Regardless, the Commander is attacked by none other than the Demon King, who is revealed to be Akihiko Yamamoto, a character in the main universe that is so far very minor due to technical difficulties in arc progression." He explains as an image appears onscreen.

"Aw, he doesn't even look that evil. Maybe just a little misunderstood. Kind of like you Mars." Kiris comments as she walks back into view, holding two hot dogs. Mars frowns at the comment. "Want one?" She asks him.

"Uh, sure..." He responds a little confused as he takes the hot dog.

"Here you go. As for the Commander and the Demon King, they exchange some words, showing that they used to be friends before the Dragon Lords struck. Then, they engage each other in an epic, dynamic battle. Garnet's versatile armament and superior skill give her an edge at first, but Akihiko's higher stamina and durability are a growing concern. In the end, Commander Greyson makes a daring gambit, but she does not anticipate the magical properties of the Demon King's sword, and is stabbed through the chest at the end of the battle."

"Damn, I guess being blonde isn't a 'get out of jail free' card after all." Mars comments before munching on his hot dog.

"Yup. Want to take the next scene, Mars?" Kiris asks him as she too eats.

"Oh, sure. Let's see, next up we get to meet the third member of the Rebellion's triumvirate, Commander Grimm, who seems to be in charge of contacting extrasolar factions to help them go up against the Dragon Lords. The only problem is that, understandably, nobody ever answers their calls. However, she is also a sort of spymaster for the Rebellion, which makes her a lot more useful. However, throughout most of the scene we only see her locked in some sort of internal conflict, and the end of the scene hints at betrayal, though who will be betrayed, we don't know yet."

"But she's so nice in the main timeline! Even if she's a little..." Kiris trails off.

"Perverted? Lustful? Creepy with her powers?" Mars completes her sentence.

"Um, yeah, that. Anyways, the last segment shows us yet another minor character that Mister Furry graciously decided to feature, a girl with alien armor called Ashes." She resumes as a picture appears onscreen.

An image

"Weird alien armor notwithstanding, she actually looks kind of cute, what with the big eye and the part that looks like a skirt..." Kiris thinks out loud.

"Eh, if you say so..." Mars says, assuming Kiris is more open to alien physiologies. "Either way, the last scene of this chapter takes us to the moon, where Ashes is using that, uh, enormous arm-spear thing of hers, to dig deep into its core, eventually unearthing three stones that she was sent to look for by Commander Grimm herself." He says as Kiris finishes her hot dog and throws the small cardboard tray away.

"The latest issue is a bit different than the others. In addition to the fact that it lacks an introductory scene, it is also the first episode, barring the Manifest spinoffs eww, to focus on a single location, rather than exploring several events at once." She states.

"Indeed. It begins with Commander Grimm in her office, in pain due to an unknown condition and reminiscing of the past. We are taken three years back in time, where Sarah embarks on a long journey to find the evil wizard that's after her family and kill him once and for all, in order to ensure the safety of her sisters. After three months, she finds his lair and encounters him, but after they exchange words, he kills himself instead of fighting her. Exhausted and confused, Sarah drinks his blood to get the strength she needs to go back to her sisters, but it has unforeseen consequences, as she suffers an intense pain and passes out." Mars takes over, before nodding at Kiris.

"Strangely enough, when she wakes up, she feels stronger than ever, and so, she easily finds her way back, but when she finds her sisters, they're alone. John and Roy, who were previously with them, have been imprisoned by the sympathizers of the Dragon Lords. Distraught, Sarah finds the General, whom she had met once before, and joins the Rebellion, in order to keep her sisters safe and hopefully free Roy and John one day." She continues.

"Back in the present," Mars carries on. "Sarah's pain has subsided, but now, she's called away from her office. The scene cuts to the General as we see him exiting a teleporter, and meeting up with Commander Grimm. The two head back to her office, and the General expresses his suspicions that Sarah's behind the string of defeats the Rebellion has been suffering. But before the discussion can continue, the true extent of Sarah's betrayal is revealed, and an unexpected guest appears."

"The Hand of The Tyrant!" Kiris exclaims after gasping.

"Indeed. It turns out that Sarah's sisters had been taken hostage by the Hand of The Tyrant, and in exchange for their freedom, she sold out her fellow rebels and, finally, delivered the General on a silver platter. Sarah's sisters are freed and she takes them out of the office, while the Hand of The Tyrant maims and mortally wounds the General." Mars states.

"Oh, but that's not where his story ends!" Kiris points out eagerly. "As he lies mortally wounded in the now empty office, the enigmatic entity known as the Autarch of Names approaches him, and though we don't know what happens between them, it is implied that he forfeit his name in exchange for some sort of power."

"Talk about rapid-fire plot twists." Mars comments.

"Yup. Meanwhile, after the Grimms reunite, Ashes shows up, having returned from the moon, and gives Sarah the three moonstones she collected. The scene ends with Sarah telling her sisters that they will use the moonstones to fight... After she seemingly forgets her own betrayal. Annnd that's about everything that's happened so far." Kiris concludes.

"Woah, well, that's quite a bit! Isn't it, Kiris?" Mars asks her.

"Yeah! It's been very thrilling, I really can't wait to see more!" She responds excitedly. Mars chuckles.

"Calm down or you might explode there. Anyway, this has been everything for tonight, thanks for tuning in, ladies and gentlemen of NationStates. I'm Mars." He says.

"And I'm Kiris!" She adds.

"And this has been the first intermission of what we're paid to describe as the best story arc ever..."

"WHERE DRAGONS RULE!!!"

"S-so... When do we get to kiss...?"

The world was fading to a dull white. But that at least meant she could make an informed decision about her blindness. It was definetly from the fall. It had been scorching heat, darkness, then intense pain.

As she was carried through the air, Tomia felt her sobbing begin to subside, her chest rapidly rising and falling as numbness spread up her arms and legs. How much longer did she need to hang on? How long could she? When was her Father, the one who was alway supposed to be there for her, coming to save her?

Luckily Adrian wasn't a mind reader or he would have felt kind of useless with how they were thinking about their father when he was the one saving them.
Then again this was kind of a depressed situation and Adrian was still semi-rageful all of the time so he was mostly thinking about how he would punch the absolute shit out of anything alien within the coming years. He could feel his pocket vibrate, apparently the stupid phone thing was still working. One of his regular arms moving towards it he flicked it open, apparently it was routing to the nearest hospital. Maybe because of how damaged he was, or the girl, he didn't bother asking the intelligence on it and simply began jumping there.

When he would arrive he made quite the scene, he was kinda a wanted terrorist. He simply made his way inside, punched a wall, and left the girl there. He figured the hospital would help her, and decided he would come back and punch his way into a viewing room some other time.
He had such a way with words.

Having only taken on a few gigs, she wasn't really known besides being a member of the JQ, which suited her just fine for now. As long as no one finds out about the past ten years, of course. She sat in her room, music blaring quite loudly, destressing. I wonder what everyone else has been up to recently. Having seen much of them, perhaps hermit life isn't for me. Yawning, she turned off the music and went upstairs. She paused by a room, just outside of it, she wasn't sure which, and heard two voices. Cora and Jamie. Extending the sounds within her area, she listened. Something about Cora, and helping. Sweet, something to do. Peeking in, she called out. "Hey, anything I can help with?" They don't need to know I was eavesdropping.

Cora seemed to freeze when she heard a voice behind them, afraid it was Kylie or even worse Katie. She breathed a sigh of relief when she realized it was Marybeth. Cora then wondered what she should do. Having Marybeth along with them could help, but she didn't want to endanger anymore people than she needed to. Still, they were teammates so Cora decided she needed to trust her teammate and at least tell her the truth. "Well, come in close the door." Cora said, making sure that only Marybeth could hear them now. "I was asking Jamie to help me on a... personal mission. There are some very bad people, kidnapping children and well... they're turning them into cyborgs like me. I can't allow this to go on, so I asked Jamie to help me. I understand if you don't want to get involved Marybeth, there's a reason why I won't ask the team as a whole, I know that this is a controversial move and I don't want to drag you into it but I would be honored it you would join us." Cora told her team sincerely.

Oh, at last, she decided to make a move. I swiftly turned around to see myself being endlessly bombarded with metal blades. Come on, it's just metal, I can take it! My right foot stepped forward as thousands of shards and blades charged at me and kept bouncing off, with only a few going as far as to make an instantly regenerated stab wound. It doesn't seem to be doing so well.

And then she swung her sword again. In an instant, I saw and felt the power emitted by her and the weapon to skyrocket, as the... force, or whatever it was, struck me with considerable force, blowing me away for a hundred meters or so and sending me crashing into a mountain. Well, that happened. I guess she is not nearly as mediocre and useless in this universe. I could even go so far as to put her in Xander levels of strength. Maybe a little higher. Maybe a little lower.

I cracked my neck a little, then teleported back in front of Valka and started clapping, speaking:

"Bravo! What kind of exercises have you been doing to get this much stronger?" I extended my hand forward and materialized a complete replica of the Asgardian's Oathbringer, made of the same material and everything. Valka's memories + Lucien's powers + my enhancements = success. "Last time, you couldn't even tag my fat form. Let's see if you can get a higher score this time."

As soon as I finished the phrase "this time", I vanished from view, slamming towards Valka from the side and proceeding to send a barrage of sword strikes at the Asgardian. The borders between the helmet and the body and between armor chips should be the weak points - let's target those.

She observed her attack of metal being for naught, but witnessed with some satisfaction that the Valkaforce had made an impact. She noted his teleportation abilities, but made no reply, letting her mouth uplift into a smirk. However, a frown came over her face as she witnessed her own sword. That was Oathbringer, surely, and this Buu had spoken of how she had gotten stronger. Perhaps, he was from an alternate universe? But that still did not explain his ability to summon his sword.

And then, suddenly, he teleported, Valka almost instantaneously going on guard, but she was too late to see his slash toward her flank. However, his attack was for naught, for in Hell, Valka had forged this armor, of a World-Scale, within her own fires, metals and those of hell. Her own sword would not be able to penetrate it, and so, she allowed his barrage, only ducking when this other Oathbringer swung for her head. Taking advantage of her position, she threw a punch at Buu's stomach, charged within the Valkaforce.

She then spoke her first words, curtly, saying, "That sword is not for you to wield," and with a flick of her finger, Oathbringer dissolved into liquid metal, Valka launching it, along with other liquid metal at Buu, to meld to his skin, heating the metal to thousands of degrees Fahrenheit as she did so.

Majin Buu (Sigma Island)

Huh. The armor didn't break. That's definitely no good. And I can see that it's made of a different material than before... Before I could come to a conclusion, though, Valka dodged my last slash and sent a powerful punch at my stomach. I could actually feel it. I was actually blown away. Well, she's stronger than Xander, that's for sure. Something really, really crazy must have happened in this universe to make this big of a diversion.

The Asgardian melted my sword and fired the heated liquid at me. Come on, really? It's hot for someone like her, maybe, but I've taken on hotter things before. I was thrown into the core of a star once and I still survived, I'm pretty sure liquid metal won't do much. I started walking forward, towards Valka. Let's recap - her personality hasn't changed, but she's many, many times more powerful than before. The armor is stronger and she can world some weird mystic force. Maybe it's a version of the Odinforce, maybe.

All in all, this is a tough opponent. When I'm restricted to this power level, of course.

"Not a fan, Valka. Not a fan." I muttered out as I approached the armored Asgardian, then stretched out my right arm to meters in length and sent it to backhand the woman, followed up with a piercing eye beam.
I have a severe case of addiction to writing. At least 3k words every day is my fix.

The Templar High Council wrote:"Aren't we all heroes, officer?" Kylie couldn't help but laugh at the childhood notion that police officers, firefighters, and doctors are superheroes too. Super, no; but Kylie did appreciate the fact that police dealt with a lot of the small stuff, and knew when to stop and call in the supers. "And yes, I am green. That's pert of being a Green Lantern. Now, if you mean green like in a noob, I've been doing this for almost 2 years. I think I know what I'm doing.

"Now about Red: Real name? Dunno. Motive? Well, he wants to kill me. Anything else? The only thing he's ever said is 'PERCEVAL KILL RARGH,' so I doubt he's thought further than that." Kylie jokingly imitated the Red Knight during his attack on her. "You don't have to do anything if you don't want to, I'm going to protect my family. That's that."

"I mean, we COULD use another portal." Kylie sarcastically said as she stepped through. "Now that I think about it, I could fly us too. But wow, your power is pretty useful."

Kylie's praise was punctuated with an elbow, knee, and sword through the chest. "Aah! Why'd you have to kill him!? It's not like any of us could tie him up, or anything!" Obviously, at least a few of them could. Green Lanterns are apparently more recognized than she thought. the cop at least knowing what she was. "Alright, new plan: only kill the guy I came here for. Otherwise, I think we're going to cause more trouble than we fix."

"What he said, too!" Kylie continued, turning to face Simon as he began talking to her. "Yeah, that makes sense. Last time I checked, wizards liked towers, right? At least, Merlin from our time has a tower. So... who wants to go check out a tower?" There were two towers apart of Castle Camelot. Identical from the outside, but only one contained a magician's workshop. "I'll go check out one, who wants to look in the other?" She singled out Salis with her index finger and declared: "Besides him. I have this strange feeling that if you go, someone else is going to get hurt for no reason."

"No need," Simon said. "I've already found him. That tower, the one on the left. Hella strong mystic vibes from there."

And indeed, the tower was positively thrumming with magical energy. It pulsed and vibrated through the air, emitting a simply ludicrous amount of power. Simon hadn't felt anything stronger than this, besides Doctor Fate, and even then, Fate had been in his own home, at the apex of his strength. It stood to reason that Merlin would be so incredibly powerful.

"Oh. Well alright then." Kylie replied warmly as Simon told them exactly where Merlin was. However, due to quick actions from him and Salis, they both disappeared and reappeared in Merlin's tower. Kylie stood, worried, with Nelli, Rip, and Boxer with her.

"So, uh, let's go then?" Kylie made a platform of green beneath the three beside her, despite the fact that two of them could get up on their own. Slowly raising everyone up to the tower, somehow not being spotted by anyone on watch, the group of time travelers deposited on the tower's balcony as a small scuffle came to en end.

Empire of the Siberian Flaming Eskimos wrote:Salis' temper flared as the man questioned his actions, and was painfully obvious on his face. Moving forwards, he came within centimeters of the other man's face, staring him down as his sword's tip rested lightly on his belly. "Don't lecture me about cruelty boy," he said, forgetting his reversed aging from the Lazarus Pit, "I've been through more than you'll ever know, and I can say that was far from cruel. I only take the lives of those who deserve it, and those get in the way of me doing that. He got in the way and I gave him a warning. His death is on his own hands for not listening." With that, Salis backed away from the man, checking his surroundings to make sure no more guards were there yet. He listened as Simon and Kylie talked, apparently signaling out the location of Merlin.

"If anyone else dies, there'll be a reason," replied Salis to Kylie's accusation, "Now I'm going to go check on our good boy Merlin so I can get back to the present, preferably not in a jail cell anymore. I suggest you try to keep up if you're so interested in trying to babysit me." A portal opened next to him as he said this. Taking one quick step forwards, he no found himself inside Merlin's workshop. It was a cluttered room, various tables and chairs covered with stacks of books and other documents. Tools, papers, and various magical items were scattered about in a seemingly random fashion. At the edge of the room, Merlin himself stood in front of a table, hunched over as he worked on something blocked from Salis' veiw. Behind Salis the portal closed immediately, cutting off the others from following him the same way he came. Sword at the ready, he moved towards the old wizard. He was within grabbing distance when the old man suddenly swung around, blasting Salis off his feet with a bolt of energy emanating from the end of his staff.

"Thought it would be that easy?" said Merlin as Salis picked himself back up, "I tell you, this isn't my first rodeo. Killing me won't be that easy." Suddenly another blast of energy shot from his staff, but Salis quickly redirected it through a portal to behind the man. Spinning around, Merlin blocked the projectile with his staff. "Impressive. You obviously have some powers of your own. I doubt they're enough though."
Lavan Tiri wrote:Why am I always stuck with psychos? Simon wondered, as he flicked his wrist and teleported into the tower to find a battle. He extended his hand, raising a barrier of energy across the room, while his other hand shot out, and he released a burst of energy that shoved Salis, spread-eagled, against the wall.

"ENOUGH!" He shouted, rounding on Salis. "You want to go back to our time and avoid a jail cell, do you? Well, it's really fucking obvious why you'd be locked up, considering that your main method of problem-solving is murder! As for you," Simon hissed, pointing at Merlin, "you're Merlin, and we're here to see you!" He whipped his head around, looking for Kylie. "This chick says you--the you in the present, well, our present, sent us back here, to your present, to fight some Red Knight dude."

"What happened?" Kylie asked, watching Simon yell at Salis, plastered against the wall, and Merlin across the room staring them down with his staff raised. From the looks of things, Simon had been the antagonist, if Kylie hadn't already know that Salis had killed a man and Simon was fairly kind to her.

"There are more of you?" Merlin was somewhat taken aback by the flow of strange people into his workshop, and readied a spell to remove them.

"Hold on!" Kylie replied, reaching for the coin in her pocket. "I kinda heard what Simon said. We're here from the future, year 2016. And we're here to fix something." Kylie eventually pulled the coin from her suit's impromptu pocket and showed it to Merlin. "You gave this to me about an hour ago, maybe. Which to you now, is like a couple hundred years from now." She handed him the coin, and he seemed to calm down.

"Well, you must at least have some truth to you." Merlin shrewdly said as he compared the future coin to one of his own, before passing it back to Kylie. "You're here to fix something? What? Hopefully, it's related to that young man who tried to stab me." He stared daggers at Salis, definitely not ready to forgive and forget what he had tried to do.

"No, um, he's supposed to be with me." Kylie apologized as she explained. "You sent for random people to help me, and we just drew... these guys. And girl." Hurriedly waving her hands, Kylie got back on topic. "Right. Fix. Well, my last name's Perceval, and there's this Red Knight, and apparently he killed Perceval's father. Perceval the knight, not me, and well—"

"Say no more, I think I've got it." Merlin waved his hand and looked back to a nearby table with materials on it. "You came to find the Red Knight? Well, actually, Ser Perceval told us himself that he took care of—"

"No you don't understand." Kylie tried her best to get her point across, but sadly Merlin was already off looking though materials. "Perceval took care of the Red Knight, but he came back. He tried to kill me in the present, future, whatever. Same guy, II'm pretty sure. But he's glowing red and looks totally evil and... I don't know! I just know I came here to stop it, so tell me where I can find Ser Perceval."

Merlin sighed, very bothered by the interruption of his work. "Fine. It shouldn't be too hard for you to find Arthur's war room, where the Round Table lies. Show him the coin I gave you in the future, and ask him. I've got work to do; apparently eventually towards time travel." Slightly more content than before, Merlin returned to working and proceeded to ignore the people behind him.

Kylie sighed as well. "OK then. Off to a great start." She turned to Simon, so far the most reliable person with her. "Do you want to lead the way? So we don't get lost?"

The Ultimate Majin

Part Thirteen: Solar Power

Atiala Hypernova

...

A tumbleweed rolled by. That's never a good sign.

"How about you leave the snarky comments to me..." Zen Buu muttered out, clenching his fists. "Besides, I've got more urgent matters to deal with, so how about we do less talking and more absorbing?"

Look at him, already confident that he will win and that he will absorb me. how foolish of him. Everyone and their mother knows that I am supposed to be the victor of this fight. Heroes always win. I'm a hero. I will win.

"Don't act all high and mighty. You may have been stronger last time, but I have improved dramatically!"

He yawned.

"Your reign of terror is over, Majin Buu! A hero has arrived to save the day and end you, here and now, and her name is Atiala! We will not let ourselves be absorbed! We will not vanish! And as for yo-"

The Majin suddenly appeared in front of me and slapped me right through the left cheek, sending me crashing right into the main building. I'm... I'm okay...

"Wow, a heroic speech. Haven't seen that in a while."

I pulled myself out of the ruins of what was supposed to be the bigger side of the Lookout, now turned into a bunch of floating pieces and rubble, and flew right back to face Zen Buu. The cheek is still sore, and yet I can feel that he's heavily holding back... Why is he holding back? Well, I suppose his stupidity is my saving grace. That or he's just toying around with me - in which case, I should do the same.

"Was the opening course good enough for you?" the pink blob spoke.

"Too greasy and sticky. I would like a refund. Oh, wait, you're the one paying, right?"

For the first time, I actually saw Buu narrow his eyes in anger. For a little while. "I am going to drown you. I am going to drown you in my own body."

"Well that's not very nice."

"You know what's not very nice? The fact that you're still cocky as all hell, even though both of us are aware that I'm leagues ahead of you."

And there's my cue. I leaped back, stationing myself about ten meters away from him, then immediately clenched my fists and started powering up. My pure white aura started rising, growing exponentially, while the dust and the rocks around us were getting picked up and started swirling around. I heard Dende screaming - I guess he got picked up, too. Fingers pressing across my palm... clenching and powering up as hard as I can... He definitely won't see it coming!

"Oh, you can transform?"

The flowing debree around me immediately stopped, Dende dropped back to the surface and the aura faded. "Okay, HOW?"

"I figured there was something fishy with you suddenly being all confident in your ability to beat me. Let me tell you something - I have extensive knowledge of both Saiyan and Kryptonian anatomy, and when you add Super Saiyan to the mix, it becomes problematic - Kryptonian powers start to fade and become less effective. You might just make yourself weaker, and I wouldn't appreciate that."

...Okay, he doesn't know. Moving on. My aura reappeared and spiked up again, growing, increasing, becoming more dense and electric with each passing second. The debree started moving around and flowing again, boulders started shattering, Dende got picked up and thrown around again. The entire Lookout was starting to crack and shake - and that is a good sign. Veins pulsating... energy flowing inside my body... amplifying... I let out a finishing scream right out of my lungs and bended back, my hair rising and starting to glow, more and more... Golden, but in a different way. Come on... come on... There! I let out a burst of energy, signalizing that I have finalized the transformation.

Not just any Super Saiyan. He's not the only one to know about the fact that it weakens my Kryptonian abilities. But, inside the Time Chamber, with the help of Mr. Spiky Hair and the Void, I discovered a way to infuse the transformation with solar energy, retaining all of my Kryptonian strength and powers.

It's no ordinary Super Saiyan. A Solar Super Saiyan.

"Solar Super Saiyan, you say?" Damn you, stupid mind-reading Majin Buu. "Even I wasn't aware that such a mouthful of a transformation exists."

"If that's a hard name for you, try Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan. Or just Palindrome Super Saiyan."

"That's not a palindrome. A palindrome is a sentence which can be re-"

I slammed my fist right between his eyes - he bounced back from the strike, but soon stopped in his tracks and punched me back with the same amount of force. Okay, similar power level. Not good. I moved back into close combat range and attacked the monster with a barrage of ki-amped punches, then a step kick. He appeared behind me, grabbed me by the shoulders and slammed me into the tiled ground, then extended his arm to pull me out. Not today. I opened up with Heat Vision and cleanly cut his arm off, then, while he's still phased by the surprise attack, shoved my knee into his stomach, sending him flying upwards.

Don't let him get away! I leaped into the air and slammed the Majin towards the planet with a double axe handle. Phew, I missed the Lookout. That kind of strike wouldn't leave anything intact for the next generation to appreciate. Dende, I'll call you back. I have some bubblegum chewing to do.

I powered up in the air a little and flew right towards the falling Majin, with the intent to grab him and slam him to the surface. Come on... approaching the target... Here we go, just a few meters... Oh, WHAT? His arm suddenly regenerated and grabbed me, flinging me towards an island in the horizon. It's like he knew what I was going to do...

Oh, right. Mind reading.

And then I slammed into the ground, creating a blast large enough to envelop the entire island. Well, I hope nobody was trying to live there a moment ago, because as soon as I leaped back up to the sky, I only saw a crater slowly filling up with water where my crash site was supposed to be.

Anyway, should probably start looking for Zen Buu. A tiny pink speck is flying right towards me. Aaaand... found him. As he was charging towards me, I took the opportunity to fire a rapid barrage of energy blasts, hundreds of city-busting homing attacks targeting him every second. Shouldn't be hard to get a few of them to hit, at least. He's not stopping... they're about to hit... I see explosions...

!!!

He suddenly appeared in front of me. Thousands of blasts were charging towards him, but all kept dissipating right before touching him. What, does he have an energy shield up? I just kept staring at him until the last of the blasts "hit".

"A valiant effort, but-"

I step-kicked him right in the groin. Unphased. Oh no. When a male opponent can take a nut shot, you know you're not gonna last very long.

"Really? You're going that low?"

"Yes."

I fired my Heat Vision right after saying it, cutting him up to five separate pieces pretty handily. Huh. It works. Oh, crap, he regenerated while I was thinking that. No matter, I just cut him up again, and this time immediately sent a wide golden beam of energy towards him at point-blank range. Phew. Should do the trick...

Oh, it didn't. He just regenerated, again. You know, the whole "recover from every attack" thing is getting really ol-

BOOM! He kicked me upwards. BOOM! He smashed his elbow into my back. BOOM! I crashed into the ground below. Agh... I coughed up a little blood. Bleeding? I'm bleeding? And we're just beginning the fight...

"What do you say now, Atiala?" It was Zen Buu. He lifted me up from the rubble, with his arm, by the golden hair. A few slaps across my face followed, then he grabbed me with his tentacle and slammed me around, until he finally dropped me by throwing my body into a mountain. No. Not today. I clenched my fists and vaporized the remains around me, then charged right at the Majin at insane speeds. He didn't even see it coming - the next thing he knew, I shoved my ki-infused hand into his chest and created a massive, city-wide concentrated explosion. Boom.

The smoke is clearing. Dozens of pink chunks are flying all around me and clumping back together. Not today. I started firing barrages of eye beams into every single piece of Buu I could find around me - all of them, vaporizing them on sight. There is no escape.

I'm going to be the hero, and you are going to be history. Is that all? Is that all of them? Looks like i-

"Surprise!" Oh... no... The next thing I could feel was a pink fist slamming across the back of my head, sending me face first into a boulder. I didn't spend much time contemplating my life choices while covered in rubble, and immediately rose back up, turning around to fire an energy wave at Buu. He deflected it and ran up to me at hypersonic speeds, grabbing my arm and tossing me to the skies, only for me to stop in mid-air and retaliate with a heavy punch finish to the stomach. Yes, he feels it! And here's the opening! Now, for part two of my master plan... I unleashed my Freeze Breath on him, coating him in a nice block of ice, then immediately fired a double-handed energy wave, before he had a chance to thaw out.

I panted a little as dust covered the entire area. I mean, I shouldn't be idealistic - I can still sense him, - but I'm still going to say it - I hope that's the last one. Now-

Oh crap! I only barely managed to dodge a pink energy blast coming right out of the smoke by bending back. That thing was seriously distracti-

AGH! A chop to the neck from behind... And targeted perfectly, too... Buu's arm caught my practically limp body by the stomach, then tossed it away. Ow, ow, ow... Tumbling, tumbling, tumbling...

"You know, here's one thing to uplift you a little bit," Buu exclaimed as he started walking towards me. I slowly rose from my position. My shirt was all torn up and my bra was showing. Thankfully, I was still healthy enough to keep the Solar Super Saiyan state up, and even powered up a little, but it wasn't helping me much. Who could've known that even by becoming over a hundred times stronger in the Time Chamber, I still won't be anywhere near the monster I was supposed to defeat?.. Am I not worthy or being the hero? Am I going to be the second fiddle, the time buyer to what Itaku and the Kai are planning? The Majin continued. "You are definitely in the top three of the people I have fought in this universe so far. Pretty close to the first and second place in power, too. And here's one thing to sadden you a bit, as well - you're not worth the power you have. You're strong, and yet you are completely incapable of using your power to it's full potential - which is why you did the worst of the three."

"That's easy for you to say, when you ten times stronger than me or something... You're not worth your power too!"

"Idiot. Unlike you, I actually had to fight for my strength! Every single ounce of power I use was gained by fighting and absorbing someone!" His calm is starting to break.

"Oh, that's much better?"

"You know, I could spend hours sitting here and chatting with you, but I've got to prove someone wrong, so let's make this quick - do you have anything worthwhile to say to me?"

I inhaled, clenched my fists and started to power up to my maximum. I might be beaten around a little, but I can still definitely stand for my own. "Yeah, I've got a few important things for you. Listen carefully." The entire continent beneath us started shaking as my Solar Super Saiyan aura got amplified, started rising, frowing more thick, energetic and fiery. Power... more power... more solar energy to rejuvenate me... and focus it in my palms. I suppose it's time to throw out and spend the last-ditch efforts, and I have quite a few prepared. It's like fighting a boss on Dokkan Battle, and spending a bunch of items and Dragon Stones to last out long enough to activate Dokkan Mode. Costly and probably unnecessary, but makes for a spectacular finish.

Come on... Here we go. He was thinking I'd go for a beam, didn't he? Instead, I charged right at him, unleashing a powerful flurry of punches to his chest and stomach, - all of them ki amplified, and definitely looking like they hurt, - then grabbing him by the head and slamming him to the ground. Finally, for a finish, I leaped to the sky, put my hands up, created a massive, city-sized golden energy ball in my palms, screamed out:

"RADIANT BUSTER!" and then tossed that massive attack right at the Majin. Good thing I concentrated the attack to not make it destroy the whole galaxy in a single boom. That wouldn't be very nice to everyone trying to live here. Heavily panting and sweating, I watched as the attack slammed into the ground in hopefully one fascinating display of fireworks. Come on... where's the boom? Boom! Blow up!

Wait...

No...

It's moving back! Someone's pushing it out! Don't tell me he is strong enough to take one of my strongest attacks head-on? My arms were shivering in fear. By now, the Radiant Buster - the city-sized ball of doom - was already seemingly floating above the ground, moving up faster and fasted. I only barely managed to move back fast enough to avoid it, and only then did the case was clear - Zen Buu was holding it with his hand. Like a giant basketball.

"That was one literal Hero Ball drop." he spoke out. You bastard. Don't you mock me! Some of us have to work hard for our ultimate attacks! "What, are you unaware that only a real hero can kill the main villain of the story, not a random schmuck?"

"DON'T RUIN MY MOMENT!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, then immediately fired an energy blast to the core of the Radiant Buster, instantly causing it to explode. Boom, my child, go boom! And boom did it go. The explosion was powerful enough to blow me away for dozens of kilometers, and even then I could see it clearly. You know, I'm almost certainly going to lose and probably die in the meantime, because I can still sense him inside, but my god, it's so fun to just blow stuff up sometimes.

Shooting massive energy orbs is fun.

"Indeed." Crap. He's behind me, isn't he-

And then the backhand hit home - sending me crashing to the ground with enough force to crack a few bones of mine. Well. The first last-ditch effort didn't work. Guess it's time to pull out the last-last ditch efforts.

Her mind was focused, just as her moves were precise. I am not surprised. This is after all a woman who has made the Forever Knights essentially just give up on catching her. Her shield easily cut through my grenade but the attack had no chance of hitting me, and the grenade was out of range as it tore the sky open. Flying over the sailing shield, my eyes captured the image of several of the arrows she manipulates time with. But the trajectorywas too far off for me to be the target. So, the sky was her target? Sure enough the sky itself began to change, recreating the storm from last night. Impressive, the extent of her power. It was still technically mid day, but you could never tell at this moment. Storm clouds covered the sky and thereforethe sun, as rain cascaded in a torrential downpour. But as lightning cracked the sky I landed in the darkness, ignoring the rain as the armor kept me dry as I glanced back at tne darkened sky.

Clever girl...removing my flight advantage by trusting I would ground myself in the storm.

Well, as I was careful to evade her line of sight reentering the slums, I moved myself into the shadows as I activated my night vision, opting against thermal for the sheer amount of bodies in the slums. Now, this was a time for a change of pace. Taking my time in engaging her again, I stalked slowly through the slums as I placed two C4 Knives in hidden places to activate later for a diversion.

Then, discovering a larger and very incompleted industrial building, looked like a potential factory or warehouse I stabbed five more in the cold beams supporting the structure, creating the base for a trap I could use later, keeping a single C4 knife on me, as well as my titanium katana. With the diversion and traps set, I set back out on my hunt. I have allowed Lysia a window of roughly eight minutes to prepare herself since she started the storm, as it took me that long to make the necessary preparations.

It did not take long to find her, as I stalked her from the shadows of a crowded second story of a vacated home in the slums. Empty because the occupants like many others migrated out of the immediate combat area. I was crouched on the balcony, but there was no railing. Gripping the katana, I waited as I sat hidden about as invisible as one could be without actually being the invisible girl. Anticipating the thunder to cover my approach, as the next rolling orchestra sounded, I brandished the blade and lunged at my target from behind, aiming for a slashing flesh wound in her blind spot, but rather than open up another brawl. I rolled as I landed, slickly moving into another dark crevice as I sheathed the blade.

This was result of my training with Slade. Lysia is skilled, powerful and damn good. But the true test is adaptability. A master warrior can flow like water between the changing demands of a battle. I am not only the one demensional gun slinger she met in Baravia. I can fight Lysia hand to hand, unleash a bullet storm, confront her in sword combat, place a single long distance precision strike or use the elements and environment to my own advantage. Whatever will get the job done.

Still observing her reaction to the last strike, this time I pressed a small button, detonating one of the two hidden diversion bombs. Hoping to draw her attention away as I leapt forward one more, this time going in with quick successive strikes with ninjutsu, as I struck from her left flank and targeted the lower gut and the back of her knee first, the objective being to bring her to her back or knees to set up a more devastating blow.

Lysia
Madworld, the refugee slums

As I kept my senses peaked as we were now fighting in the dark I was sure I would have the advantage, he was wearing a heavy suit with many items that make sounds with even the simplest of motions. Regardless this is no time to underestimate your opponent, this is a place of supers, I must go from the assumption that he may have powers beside flight. Before I realized I felt a slash at my back. This was unexpected, I did not take him to be his follower. It doesn't matter though, at best he left me with a single wound that does not even hinder my motions by much. There was no way I would fall for the same thing twice, I would be ready for this man's second attack. Besides, I can already see him.

Suddenly an explosion went off in my back, I began turning my hand, I knew this was a distraction but it was vital I made it look like he had an opening. As expected he dashed forwards for another attack, this time to more vital areas. He should have made those his first strike. As he moved in I quickly jumped backwards only by a handful of inches, just enough to make his strikes completely miss their target but close enough to allow retaliation. "Even from total dark no disciple from Erebos can strike me twice!" I shouted as I prepped my arm and lunged at his face with a vicious strike. One hard enough that I could hear a cracking or breaking sound. Probably not bone it sounded more mechanical but it was still a good blow as my own hand was trembling from the impact.

Having hit him that hard I felt the need to jump back and make a bit of distance. It might only be a fleshwound but after the hit I dealt I needed a moment to recover myself, even if only a few seconds. I took up a defensive stance and I looked straight at him, let's taunt him a bit. "I am linked to time itself, everything about me emanates with temporal energy, energy I can see. And my eyes can see a bright blue glow pulsating from my blood on your blade!" It might seem like a tactical error to tell him something like that, but he likes to play mind games, let's play some back and see how it goes, will he simply continue fighting or will he begin discarding any weapon he struck me with. Maybe he'll even try avoiding drawing blunt and go for blunt strikes. This will be interesting.

Lanvin smirked from where he was standing as he gave Titan a smug grin and a quick wave before gritting his teeth and throwing another Telekinetic blast in her direction to stop her from jetting out of harms way.
The building above her cracked before letting out an ear shattering groan and collapsing; if Titan had been able to see Lanvin before the roof and building had subsequently collapsed, she would have heard him shout a smug goodbye at her - the taunt echoing around the yard as the downward motion of tonnes of concrete and materials ceased.

Taking a moment to adjust his tie, Lanvin spun on the spot as he attempted to locate the Knight; his ears tuning in for even the the slightest sign of movement.
"What did I tell you, 'Knight'!?" Lanvin laughed as he looked around the yard, "You didn't stand a chance!"

The Fall of The Masaki
Part One, A Broken Bond: Asumar Masaki vs Emperor Arctico

It only took the quiet death of Shimura to incite a large scale reaction from both Asumar and Kazuko, whom were broken hearted at the passing of their longtime teacher and their surrogate father. As the two brothers stared down at the body of their master, Asumar seemed to be the one most impacted at the sudden loss of Master Shimura, the two brothers and the old man had been through almost everything together, Shimura helping the two brothers grow up in an age that was filled with nothing but darkness and uncertainty, if it wasn't for Shimura to be there for the two brothers, they would have never survived even a moment in such a hostile environment "Kazuko..." Asumar asked blankly, staring down at Shimura with a saddened expression on his face "Where did we go wrong in our lives? Why did Shimura have to die now? When we had such a bright future ahead of us?" Asumar asked, his voice as emotionless as the look in his eyes. He was blatantly unaware of why Shimura passed away in regards to such circumstances, his pride would not allow him to face his grievous errors and problems, he may have thought that he was free from such an enormous amount of pride, but he could have never been so horribly wrong in his entire life.

It was at this point that Arctico, finally fed up at Asumar's incompetence unleashed a threateningly large amount of his energy in all directions, as well as slamming his tail down onto the ground "You want to know what your problem is Asumar?" Arctico practically growled, ignoring the cold glare from his 'friend's' eyes "The problem is that you are so ignorant that it has gone beyond bliss, It was YOUR fault that Shimura passed away, the old man could not bear to see you destroying yourself, It wasn't simply because of Old Age that Shimura died, It was coupled with his sickness and your profound stupidity that he died, his poor old heart could not bear to see you destroying yourselves, and in the process, the very thing that he struggled to preserve: the survival of your species-" It was at this point that the entirety of Asumar's attention was upon Arctico, glaring down at his soon to be enemy with such murderous intent that the atmosphere around the two began to intensify with every passing second "You believe your species to be one of the strongest and most important of all in this blasted Universe, well I will tell you something, there are those who will view your people as a FUCKING joke!"

That was the breaking point for Asumar, as he brought his hand up, and with a heartless expression on his face did he yell the words "Almighty Push!" A force of gravity great enough to rip a star apart extended forward towards the Arcosian Emperor at such rapid speeds that he was not able to defend against such power and was shot straight out of the hut and send violently hurtling to the ground, which Arctico managed to regain his balance just before he hit the ground. As Asumar walked out of the hut at a casual and purposeful rate, his eyes were glowing bright purple in unquenchable rage of the Arcosian's comments about why Shimura died "You have some nerve pinning the blame of Shimura's death on me, do you actually think that your species is as innocent as they get?" Asumar noticed that Arctico, being relatively unharmed from his attack began to stand up and walk towards Asumar slowly, his light blue aura wrapping around him in reply to Asumar's show of force "Your species is nothing but planet-conquering, genocidal curs that should have been cleansed from this universe a long time ago, and if no one is willing to wipe them out..." A sword of energy-based origins materialized in Asumar's hand "I'll be the one to personally wipe you all out."

Arctico darkly acknowledged Asumar's threat by taking to his Ultimate Evolution Form, his Silver Bio Armor and Blue Bio Gems shining brightly and intensely as he readied for a battle to the death against his former friend and ally "Very well Masaki, you wish to threaten my species with such a brash and bold statement." a sword of ice began to materialize in Arctico's hand "I'll be sure that the next lesson you learn will be how to respect others and their own views..." And with the words of battle exchanged between both foes, Asumar and Arctico shot forward towards each other with murderous intent, their bond shattering into pieces, and serving as a the prelude for what would soon be known as The Great Masaki Purge.

Daniel Carter/Killswitch-24-Mad City, Madworld

The force of the punch was like getting slammed by a train. In fact, had it not been for the powered weaves in the armor around my neck, the kinetic force alone would have snapped my neck like a twig. All in all, the armor did it's job. But the remains of my mask however began to flake and fall away. As the various shards rained down to the earth the upper left side of my mask was entirely broken away, showing about forty percent of my face through the darkness. Not to mention shooting all of my night vision capabilities to hell. But more impressively, is that she smashed her way through a titanium plated mask. As in the same damn thing my armor is made up of. Revealing two things, first that if she so chose, she could smash through whatever protection I have. Second, I need an upgrade. I doubt it was easy for her, and it likely requires her to not hold back, but nontheless she has done it.

Finally, I picked myself up from next to a dumpster, as I dented the entire front side when I was thrown into it by her blow. I listened as my eyes tried to naturally adjust to the darkness. A distant ringing in my ears a reminder of the hit I just took. So, claiming you can see anything your blood touches huh? I began to move my left hand to one of my Flash Bang grenades while she could clearly see my left eye, gaze down at the blood decorated sword. Does she expect mt to just discard it? To forfeit a weapon on the sake of a hunch? After all, I only know what she said she could see. Nothing to mean that she was being truthful. Finally both my masked and naked eye locked on her as my left hand pulled the pin from the Flash Bang.

"Your bluffing." I shot at her.

"But why speculate?" I reasoned as I unleashed the Flash Bang, more to buy me a moment to pull back than to hamper her.

I then dashed through the rain soaked streets as I tactically retreated back to the abandoned structure I have set the bombs. If she was bluffing, she should eventually pick up my trail but if she was not bluffing, a possibility I was counting on, she will be hot on my heels as I lay the trap I had prepared in advance. Running at near my full speed, I could have been a competitor in a Olympic dash, despite the more than hundred pound bulky armor. I wont be able to spring the trap immediately, I have to wound her, slow her down first so she won't escape the explosion. Hopefully, I will be able to end this in one final confrontation.

It was strange, but if anyone with vision sharp enough looked closely, they could see I was actually starting to grin.

It had been a long time since I felt this alive.

The Knight then appeared behind Lanvin out of the darkness of the yard, putting his right arm around Lanvin's shoulder and neck, The Knight then used his left hand to inject a vial, with a large needle, into Lanvin's neck.
"On the contrary, You were nothing but a nusence" The Knight muttered in Lanvin's ear, before letting go and kicking him forward. "And Lanvin" The Knight said, just as Titan smashed out of the rubble, flying up and landing down to the right behind The Knight,

"You have a Dangerous habit of under estimating your enemies".

War of Kings

United States Metahuman Facility, Colorado mountain range

An explosion blew the large strength locked metal doors off it's hinges, causing it to fall to the ground, the light from the desert outside was a contrast to the dark, dimly lit hallway. Kalder stepped in, readying an energy blast for whoever came close, The Knight followed alongside, along with the Batfamily members that accompanied them. "This just screams illegal activity" The Knight said as she peered into the window of a lab, a green filler liquid with a human organism inside. Kalder peered into the window, "What is that?" The Knight shook her head, "This is a Metahuman facility, so I an only guess it's a failed experiment". Nightwing and Stephanie brown batgirl quickly hacked open the panel for a large set of sliding doors, as they slid open, a slew of armed US guards poured through.

"Contact!" The Knight shouted as she pulled out her automatic pistols, firing them and taking down 5 guards. Batman threw down smoke grenades engulfing the area in smoke, Batwoman and Nightwing went to work, taking down 4 ofthe Guards simultaneously, Batgirl quickly tripped and punched down another guard knocking him out, Kalder fired his energy blast at a group pouring in, taking down half of them and causing the others to retreat. Kalder followed the guards through the door, and as he stepped in, he was greeted by an extremely large Vault door, a sign reading [Project: GUARDIAN]. Kalder stood there, staring at the door as The Knight quickly stepped beside him, "well doesn't this look ominous' she said, obviously referencing the door. Batman quickly walked up, squinting as he inspected the large door, "Nightwing, Batgirl, grappel up and release the locks on the top". Batgirl nodded, grappeling to the right corner as Nightwing grappeled up to the left corner.

Grappeling up, both Nightwing and Batgirl placed a large amount of controlled explosive gel on the locks, after applying they promptly grappeled out of range, detonating and releasing the locks on the door. The Knight pointed to a panel on the thin walkway that lead tot he vault, a control panel at the end, "That's our doorknob" she said to Kalder, Kalder floated, grabbing The Knight and carrying her down to the walkway, walking the rest of the way with her to the control panel. As The Knight placed her hand on a switch of the control panel, she Radioed to Batman, "Batman, cover our backs while we go into the lace", ["Of course Martha"]. The Knight then pulled the switch, causing a series of robotic arms to pull the large vault door forward, the creaking and screeching echoing out, the vault door then slid to the side, another half of the walkway raising up and leading to a strairwell.

Kalder hovered and grabbed The Knight by her shoulders again, quickly getting across the walkway and landing at the set of the stairwell. As they climbed the long, dark metal stairwell, The Knight turned on the lights for her lenses, allowing them a redish glow to see ahead of them. They finally reached a landing, a hallway leading to a fairly normal looking door. The knight raised an eyebrow, "The hell is a house door doing down here?" she asked as they walked up to it, Kalder then grabbed and knocked on the door knocker, knocking two times and leaving the door. There was a silence, the light shining from the small glass window on top of the door turned on, they heard footsteps approach, just as the door opened.

"h-hello" a partially buff, but more skinny Guardian said, as he peeked through the open crack of the door at The Knight and Kalder. "Connor Morales", "Who are you?" Guardian asked nervously, "Guardian, could we come in?" Kalder asked. "g-guardian? what are you talking about?", The Knight gave The Knight a stressed look. "Connor, can we come in", Guardian nodded, letting Kalder and The Knight in he locked the 17 locks on the door before turning to them, "Who are you?", the home was a fairly ordainary looking home, with all the appliances one would need, however the windows obviously faced what was wallpaper on cement walls. Kalder sighed and turned to Guardian, "Connor....I'm Kalder, your friend from Another world", Guardian raised an eyebrow, "another world?". The Knight opened up a picture of Prime Earth (Kalder's world), and Earth 577, "There are a number of different earths. Long story Short Connor, We need to get Kalder back to his world, and the only way to do that is by stopping this war. We need your help". Guardian took a few minutes to proccess this before stating, "Why do you need me, I'm nothing", Kalder placed a hand on Guardian's shoulder, causing him to flinch a bit, "you are much more than nothing, you have powers that can rival men like superman". The Knight then recieved a radio call, "Uh huh......Jesus", The Knight then walked over to the nearby TV, plugging in a transmitter device she then turned on the TV.

[CNN]

"In a shocking turn of events, the United States City of New York was dragged into the Amazonian - Wocandan war, as Namor and the Wocandans attempted to capture the City. However, with the support of the Amazonians, the Atlanteans, and the Justice League, the Wocandans were forced back when the Man of steel, Superman, unleashed a blast of Heat vision so big, it incinerated 200 Wocandans, including several buildings caught in the crossfire".

[Footage from CCTV]
The following Footage showed a furious battle in New Your grand avenue, Amazonians and atlantean troops battled against a horde of Wocandan forces. The battle was pure blood sport, until the Atlantean and Amazonians fell back suprisingly soon, and Superman floated above in their place. In a blink of an eye, Superman incinerated the Wocandans, aswell as bringing several buildings down from the large heat vision blast. Superman turned and flew away, The video paused on his green and red eyes

"Why does Superman look possessed?", The Knight shook her head as she turned of the TV, "That's because he is, Namor", Kalder shook his head, turning back to face a fairly complacent Guardian. "We need your help Connor" Kalder said, Guardian nodded his head, looking at Kalder,

"I'll try".

After pondering it for about a second, realizing she was incredibly bored at the moment, Marybeth agreed offhandedly. "Sure, why not", she said. Then...something struck her as what Cora had said began to sink in. Kids...kidnap...turning them...that's all that truly processed within her. Feeling a familiar yet rare rage creep inside her, Marybeth nodded sternly. "I'll definitely do it. Just don't stop me from doing what has to be done." Flashbacks, uncontrolled yet hidden flashed through her mind rapidly of the experiments done upon her when she was in HYDRA's possession. She raised her hand to her forehead. "As soon as possible please."

"Naja... I found one of the Inhuman cocoons Medusa told us about. I've already contacted her, but it's going to be an hour or two. She said she'd send Otis. I could use your help too. This is more you guy's type of thing. I am not good with terrified people." Xander said into his motherbox. And just as luck would have it the cocoon cracked open and the purple woman forced her way out of the green slime onto his clean floor. "Umm... Hello ma'am." Xander said not really sure of what else to say. "Just stay calm. You're not in any danger." Xander was completely aware that new Inhumans tended to be rather excitable right after their transformation, he just didn't want her to hurt herself.

"The HELL did you do to me?"

"I pulled that cocoon you were in off the street before you got hit by a bus." Xander replied as he tossed the woman a towel. "Are you calm enough to let me explain to you what's going on?"

"Wait... I know you. You're that guy who runs that big ass island."

"One of those guys, yes." Xander replied. "You're on Praetoria, and I've sent for some people who will be able to help you along with... Your new state. My name is Xander. Who're you?"

"Felicity Summers." She replied and covered herself with the towel. By the look Xander was giving her, he obviously didn't know who she was. Which was an insult. "You don't know who I am? Have you EVER watched TV in your life? Or read a magazine."

"Would you be offended if I said no?" He asked. "Because I rarely watch television and have never touched a magazine." Xander replied honestly. "I have too much to do to waste my time with things like that."

"Holy shit dude. How the hell are you married?" She asked snickering a bit. "Alright Smiles, get me a mirror. I need to see what the rest of the damage is." She said and waved her hand like one would to dismiss a servant. Which annoyed Xander, but it didn't help that he got her what she asked for. "Hm. Not too bad. I can work with this. So, again. I know you're married. Some lady that looks like a snake right? See, I'm cool with that. My problem is what the hell does she see in you. Are you allergic to fun?"

"I'll have you know that I do watch movies and some shows. And that I'm not your slave. I'm here to ease the transition." He muttered. Where was Otis or Naja? Someone to get the woman out of his hair. Maybe a change of subject would help clear the mood. "You're an MMA fighter, right? I do enjoy physical combat myself."

"Oh yeah? You don't look like you'd hurt a fly."

"I've killed over a dozen people." Xander said and things got really quiet.

"Oh! Right! There's that video of you blasting that fat bastard Kim-Whatever-the-fuck into ash! Okay, that was pretty badass. Would've been better to see you punch his head off, but yeah. Okay. I feel slightly less bad about making fun of you."

"I'll attribute it to the shock of your transformation." Xander replied with a mutter.

"Aw come on, Smiles. You need to learn to take a joke."

Civil War
Madworld

Located within Paragon, the immaculate palace of the Parahuman King stood proudly as the city around it was putting the finishing touches on it’s rebuilding program. The palace, known as Cathedral Terra, was bustling with government activity as post-Ultra War problems began to surface for the Kingdom. Due in large part to the Mad King’s declaration of a safe haven, waves upon waves of political migrants have taken up refuge on Madworld, crowding the titular Mad City and her surrounding boroughs and setting up refugee camps outside of government oversight. It was a situation that shouldn’t endure for more than a few weeks at most, and with a looming superhuman war, Maxwell Morningstar sought to fix the issue sooner rather than later.

“Otto, do you have any news on the Amazon?” Maxwell asked, walking into the Asgardian’s work station, causing Godblessed to hold up a finger at the King, finishing whatever he was writing quickly and neatly before looking up.

“Lysia, yes? She has been evicting our Forever Knight patrols left and right. Our manpower is thin, so we’ve had to simply avoid those areas until another recruitment surge. Wildstar has more information on the Knights as you know, but there is little we can do realistically. She’s nothing more than another gang leader, despite all the fluff she likes to talk.”

“I ask because I’ve been considering her position among the refugees.” Maxwell said, leaning upon Otto’s desk as the Asgardian leaned back to look intently at the King. “Should she pose a threat, we may have to take steps to eliminate her or curtail her movement. Perhaps I should look into getting an assassin…” Maxwell thought, looking at Otto for his opinion on the matter.

“Well, I’ll level with you here, she’s currently dealing with an assassin as we speak.” Otto said, causing Max to raise an eyebrow. “From what I could gather from my sources, Daud has been working closely with a man to eliminate targets. Both against ourselves and Ultra. Did you know about this?”

“I did, but I didn’t know he was already on Lysia.” Maxwell admitted, “In this changing world, Godblessed, I have opted to make the Ultra Corps a wing of my bureaucracy, specifically, my intelligence and spy department. Daud has the connections that we severely lack, his pull has been able to get us on the talking board with nations who wouldn’t give us the time of day. I’ve been handing down execution and listening orders, but the one for Lysia... “ Maxwell continued, “She was supposed to be more of a just-in-case type of deal. I will have to meet with Daud about that.” With that Mad Max began to walk away, Otto standing up quickly.

“I really don’t like using Ultra in such a position, Max.” He protested, with Max slowing down to let his closest ally walk alongside him.

“Your concern is well-founded, my friend, but I’m afraid we have little choice. Our own systems were years behind other nations, even Praetoria. Maybe because Sovereign had no need for external intelligence, and focused only on spying on other Parahumans. Ultra has put us on top globally, and every intelligence organization with any weight has been fighting tooth and nail to work with us now.” Maxwell smiled, “The benefits of a superhuman society, no?”

“Yes, but they were the enemy.” Otto protested, “Our civilians are shocked at your absorption of the Corps, and with the ongoing refugee crisis, have you even looked at your approval ratings? They’re abysmal. You’ve spent so much time working with Thomsen against the Praetorian threat and Registration that you’re not watching Madworld and her interests.”

Maxwell nodded solemnly, “I know Otto, but I feel that the best course of action is to be prepared for anything at this point. I don’t have two faces, one to watch Madworld and one to watch the rest of the world. Madworld can bicker and scream, but I will ensure she survives this trying time. I leave a lot of things up to you and the rest of the Godbreakers -”

“But we can’t do much if you’re not behind it, Max.” Otto snapped. “Despite your approval ratings, our economic reports are sky-high thanks to us and our advisors. Despite the influx of migrants, recruitment in the Knights is up. They know it’s improving, but because it’s not backed by the King, it doesn’t seem like anything is getting done.” Otto breathed deeply and released it. “They want to see their King in action, leading the charge for their own sake, not for the world or for disenfranchised mutants. They want the King of the Parahumans to keep the Parahumans in mind.”

Maxwell thought on the statements Otto made deeply, reflecting on his actions ever since his break with the Praetorian Emperor. “I do keep them in mind, but they don’t see it. I do this for Madworld and her people, but they think it’s for foreigners. I’m against a wall and if I throw my hands up and back out, Madworld will look weak internationally. Perhaps I did not plan my moves accordingly, Godblessed, but I need to see them through.”
Fall of the Masakis

The looming threat of the Masaki Dynasty had loomed in the head of the Mad King for some time, with Sigma Island being the home of alien interlopers. Able to change the dynamic of the looming superhuman Civil War, their kind should be dealt with soon. To that end, Mad Max called upon one of his Godbreakers, a friend from childhood and an ally to the King, Maddox Shatterstar, to aid him against the Dynasty.

“Their powers are vast, but lack the imagination to utilize them to their fullest potential,” Maxwell explained, “I have been following the energies of the island for some time, and this recent spike must mean that something is underway, like two friends beginning a brawl, or two brothers finally going at odds with one another.” With that explanation, Maddox gave a smirk, dwarfing his King as he stood beside him.

“So then, what must we do, my King?” Maddox asked, “Pick them off, lay waste to Sigma Island, or simply fan the flames?”

“Make no mistake, Maddox,” The King assured, “Our intentions are not pure. Our hands are blood soaked as is, so what is a few drops more?”

Maddox nodded, “Then we’ll kill who we can.” Shatterstar said, “Fine by me. Are you doing it or shall I deliver the killing blow?”

Thinking for a moment, Maxwell relented. “I will see to their demise. Nothing against you, Maddox, but you’d destroy a continent before they perished. My way would be quicker and cleaner, without all the hassle that levelling an island would take. You will be my enforcer, to ensure my battle goes on without interlopers.” Maxwell explained, Maddox agreeing with a grunt and a nod. “Then you agree. Let’s be off.” Max said, thinking of one more thing to say before heading towards Sigma Island.

“....Time to conduct evil.”

The Fall of The Masaki
Part Two, A Broken Bond: Asumar Masaki vs Emperor Arctico

"You have some nerve criticizing my actions considering the fact that your species is responsible for some of the worst Genocide's to date, so do not question the actions of my species, you hypocrite!" Asumar growled lowly, his purple energy sword struggling to overcome the ice blue sword of Arctico's own, the two locked in a desperate struggle of dominance. It appeared that Arctico had grown more powerful since the two last fought, but that did not mean that Asumar would give up against his foe. Sending their swords forward once more, which then proceeded to shatter underneath the sheer force of their collision, but not once did Asumar's eyes leave Arctico's Ocean Blue eyes "I'll destroy everything!" Asumar inwardly exclaimed, taking flight away from his Arcosian foe and then slamming his palms together "Multiple Planetary Devastation!" Asumar roared, the six black orbs that revolved around his back scattered into differing directions of the Island, these black orbs becoming new centers of gravity that began to tear large portions of Sigma Island apart and then assimilating their masses into these orbs "What's wrong, too big for rain?" Asumar's voice echoed in a taunting fashion.

"You wish, Masaki!" Arctico shot back, his divine aura shooting up around him like a mighty explosion had just taken place "You can hurl asteroids at me whenever you want, this still won't change anything..." Arctico then brought his finger up, a small ball of Sun-Like Energy forming on the tip of his finger, which began to expand at a rapid rate until it's size rivaled that of the multiple planetoids that Asumar was creating "If you've delved into the culture of my ancestors, you will understand that this energy orb has the power to overcome any of your asteroids!" Arctico replied with a snarl, before he threw the supernova towards the towering planetoid that was closest to him, which also happened to be the one that Asumar hovered beneath. As expected, Asumar shot forward at full speed, bringing his fist to connect with Arctico's face, who countered with bringing a hand up to absorb the impact, generating a massive shockwave that shattered the ground beneath the two opponents and causing a crater of epic proportions.

Asumar's cold glare continued to clash with Arctico's own ice cold glare, their will being represented through the expression on their faces "You've gotten better at this, Arctico." Asumar remarked, his fist never leaving the Arcosian's palm, still trying to vie for dominance over the other, the two combatants sensing the Supernova impacting the large planetoid that hovered atop the two, causing a shower of boulders to fall around the two combatants, which swiftly began to burn up in the atmosphere and then crash into the landscape around them, resembling a battlefield of flames that continued to burn brightly around them "But I regret to inform you that when this battle ends, you will not be surviving the injuries that you sustain..." a massive pillar of construct-based energy began to surround the younger Masaki Brother, forcing the Arcosian Ice God to gain as much distance between himself and Asumar. By the end of the formation of the massive construct, it resembled a mighty Tengu Statue that hovered ominously above Arctico "The real fight begins now!" Asumar exclaimed.

Arctico's teeth began to grind against each other in annoyance at the new enemy he was forced to face, a massive tengu that began to draw a massive longsword from the sheath that it was hidden within "Blast this Masaki, at the rate this is going, he will either kill me, or I will be forced to kill him..." Arctico's body began to be enveloped by a massive layer of ice that eventually formed into a massive golem that brought it's hands forward in intercepting the Tengu's longsword "Don't push this battle to a level that does not have to be reached Asumar, If you keep this up, then I'll have no choice but to put an end to you once and for all!" Arctico warned, the two towering constructs of energy and ice staring each other down as intensely as their casters, revealing that they had no intentions of giving up "Do you really think that it will be easy to end this battle, you started it at the very moment that you questioned my actions, I will end your pathetic life here and now!"

While the two opponents continued to dominate each other in sheer construct-to-construct battle, a lone Arcosian stood atop one of the massive planetoids, stealthily providing large amounts of energy to Arctico's construct "Come on Arctico..." Shiveron quietly remarked, his face remaining stern as he watched the two opponents attempt to beat each other back "You have the genes of my child, I know you can beat him..."

"Alright. So what does me looking like something out of a James Camera Sci-fi flick mean?" She asked.

"You are physically superior to even the strongest human. Plus you likely have a superhuman ability. Which I've yet to see you use so I'm not sure what it could be." Xander explained. "You're an Inhuman. You have or had, an ancestor with recessive alien DNA. That green cloud you were in the middle of was what triggered it. You went into the cocoon... Think of the process like metamorphosis. Like a caterpillar turning into a butterfly." It was as he was explaining the situation to her that he got an alert from his computer. High levels of energy fluctuation coming from what appeared to be the island the the Masakis made for themselves. Which meant that he was going to have to go see what nonsense they were doing now. "Listen, Felicity I have to-" And just in the nick of time, Otis walked in drinking a soda. Xander let out a sigh of relief. "I have to go do some stuff. This is Otis. He's a great guy."

"Sup. I am the one he called Otis." The tall Inhuman said as Xander rushed out of the room. "Don't worry about ole' Xander. Dude has a stick up the butt of the stick that he has up his butt. We've almost got one of them out. I think he's allergic to fun. So anyways." Otis said and put his drink in his tail. "Welcome to being Inhuman! It's pretty awesome most of the time."

"Wait. I know who you are. You're that guy who smashed that one really big ass fucker's head in with a hammer!"

"Erm... Yes, that was me. But there's-"

"That's so fucking cool!" She replied. "When do I start smashing people's heads in?"

That was a disturbing thought, but she thought he was cool? "Umm. That's not everything we do... But we do have rather extensive combat training... Let's get going. I'm sure Medusa will be happy to meet you."

"I'm Felicity freaking Summers. I beat people up for a living. So where are we going?"

"The Moon." He replied as the omega energies flared around his hand.

Xander

What in the hell are you idiots doing NOW... He thought to himself as he flew over to the island, very annoyed that he had to deal with more of their nonsense. However, as he got closer, he saw someone that he hadn't seen in months. Arctico. One of the very first friends he had ever made. Things were going quite badly as he was fighting Asumar, who was using what appeared to be a giant construct to try and kill Arctico. Which gave him the excuse that he needed to pound his head in. Xander greatly increased his speed and aimed for where Asumar was stationed at inside of it. "LOOK UP!" Xander yelled as he smashed into the giant construct to rip Asumar out of it.

The Fall of The Masaki
Part Three, Coming Full Circle: Xander Smith vs Asumar Masaki

"LOOK UP!"

"Grh, what?!" Asumar replied in surprize, before he was shot directly out of his armor construct and then sent crashing directly to the ground of Sigma Island, obviously shaken, but not too badly injured by the surprize attack "You..." Asumar began as he slowly levitated over the Praetorian, a slightly agitated expression on the Wild-Haired Masaki's face "I've been waiting a long time for this day, Xander Smith." Asumar remarked with a slight chuckle "You killed Trillions of lives when you destroyed our home Galaxy and even destroyed Sigma Galli Prime at one point, I never had the opportunity to pay back such an offense..." Asumar's bright purple energy surrounded his entire being, resupplying his slightly diminished energy reserves and bringing them back to optimum capacity. With only a blank stare on his face, Asumar brought his hand up into the air, a lone black orb levitating casually on his palm "I've been waiting for the chance that I get to fight against one of the strongest defenders of this planet!" Asumar shot forward with a serious expression on his face, shooting forward towards Xander and firing a beam of Aura-based energy from his free hand, and then throwing the black orb into the ground, which then proceeded to sink into the ground.

"Forest of Spikes: Construct Wasteland!" Asumar inwardly exclaimed, and in response to his subconscious demand, the black liquid that was excreted from the Black Orb that dug itself into the ground began to expand at a rapid rate until spikes shot out in all directions, some of them locking onto Xander with enough force to tear through a star in it's final stage of life. This was followed by Asumar bringing his palm up to connect with the Praetorian Emperor's face "This is for all the lives that you extinguished in our home Galaxy!"

"The funny part is Asumar. If I had the chance, I'd do it again." Xander replied. "I'd do it a thousand times over. I've had to deal with your stupidity for YEARS. I am DONE. You've attempted to blow up my planet. Dragged you imbecilic gods here to do the same, and expect us to bend over backwards for would-be conquerors. You expected us to allow you to break our rules and get off scot free? I'm done warning you. I'm done trying to beat the lesson into your thick skull." He said and stood perfectly still as the Spikes tore him to shreds, causing his body to collapse and stand up a moment later, grinning as the damage was repaired by a bright flash of light.

"Now? I'm just going to kill you." He said and caught Asumar's hand and squeezed with enough force to grind a planet to dust. "You want a fight Asumar? I'll give you the best, and last, fight of your worthless life."

Cora saw Marybeth's anger and was a little surprised. She rarely saw the girl lose her cool, she was always very aloof."Alright Mary, I appreciate your help. It's nice to know my teammates have my back." She told the two of them genuinely. "Well, I'll need a little while to prepare. Meet me in the garage in a half an hour?" She asked the other two before heading out of the room. The garage was more of a giant hangar at the base of the tower than it was a garage, but garage was just easier to say. That was where they kept the vehicles for the team. Cora was hoping she would be able to get one of the jets out of there before people noticed they were leaving. She would explain why they left after they were gone.

Cora went down to her training area, packing up her things, not daring to go to her room where Katie might be. She felt terrible about keeping a secret from Katie, but she was so worried about what she would say. The last thing in the world she wanted was to hurt her. Cora sat in silence for about fifteen minutes contemplating what she was about to do. She then saw it was about time to go. She took a picture of Katie out of her pocket where she always kept it. She looked at it for a few moments before giving it a quick kiss, putting it in her pocket before heading to the garage to meet Marybeth and Jamie, pushing her guilt and doubts from her mind as best she could.

The Fallen Jedi wrote:-Xander vs Asumar

Among Parahumanity, many with powers stood out, and none more so than Maxwell Morningstar and Maddox Shatterstar. Armed with fearsome energy absorption and manipulation, the Mad King of the Parahumans was prepared to let Sigma Island feel his wrath, and the physically strongest Parahuman, Shatterstar, was ready to bear witness to destruction on a grand scale. As Mad Max extended his palms outward, his eyes glowing a light blue, and pentagrams began glowing brightly before his hands. He held a solemn grimace as he sentenced thousands of innocents to death.

It was a calming breeze, gently tugging the ambient energies of the island's city toward Mad Max and Maddox's position, the swaying of trees pointing towards the duo as dark clouds raged above. Then, it all suddenly stopped, a deafening quiet permeating throughout the area, people turning to look on in wonder at the duo. That was their last sight, as a violent eruption of energy from Mad Max spilled onto the island like an exploding tsunami, crashing buildings into one another, leveling the landscape, and leaving nothing but a smoldering fan of pure destruction in his wake, with the end point of the fan where Maxwell stood floating above the area.

"It never fails to impress." Maddox commented, Maxwell nodding in agreement. "But what do you think that did other than piss off the Masaki Brothers?"

"It pissed them off." Maxwell parroted, "So they won't be thinking straight. Do you feel that, Maddox? That energy on the other side of the island? That's Xander... And he's fighting Asumar." Maxwell commented, feeling their distinct energy presence. "Why the hell is he here..." The Mad King growled, "Regardless, let's find the other brother." With that, Maxwell took no time in feeling the energies of the island, rich in natural energy, but finding the conduits that could channel them, thus finding Kazuko with ease. Not long after, the two Parahumans stood before a simple hut. Maxwell stopped his brutish companion from entering, though.

"Why do you hold me back, Maxwell?" Maddox asked.

"Within lies the body of Shimura. I have little respect for the Masaki Clan, but he is one I will grant some dignity, even in death. I will go in and inform Kazuko of events he's already aware of." Maxwell spoke, Maddox nodding, watching his monarch enter the hut casually, finding the sight before him full of gloom and sadness. Max did not dwell on the sight, as death on Madworld was all too common, the King was too jaded for a proper funeral. Instead, he called out. "Kazuko Masaki." Gaining the brothers' attention, Maxwell continued. "Xander is engaged in mortal combat with your brother. Their energies threaten to tear this island apart. But you..."

"You are in mortal combat with me. You ask what sins you bear as I confront you, but know this:" Maxwell said with an outstretched palm. "I am the spear of God, and if you had not committed great sins, God would not have sent a punishment like me onto you." Maxwell closed his palm and the energies he had gathered within, allowing it to course around his body as he vaguely 'powered up' to fight Kazuko. "Let us begin."

Ava hears quite obviously that the first lady's name is Kiris, and clearly this other lady was a friend. Ava also overhears the other lady bring up very specific things about her, freaking her out even more. After the second lady, Rin, introduced herself and talk about her being alright, Ava couldn't come up with a very coherent response, the only response she could bring out was a genuinely confused "Wah...?" along with her scratching her head. She's left confused enough that she barely noticed a new boy showed up and asked what was going on.

Meanwhile, Vera walked off away from the group, she hasn't said anything about the mission, and given her helmet, it's almost impossible to tell her emotions. As soon as shes far enough away from the group she sighs to herself, over all she's unhappy about how the mission ended, not that the parents got away, but both Nico and Mars left them in the basement to go after the parents. She wasn't going to critique the mission right now, she'd rather make sure her pets alright, this is the first time since she got the little pup she's went on a mission, and though Rin was here to take care of them, but just she wanted to make sure it was okay.

Len was tired.

He was tired of everything that happened on Earth. From the time he crashed in, jailed, arrested, killed, punched, fought, it never seemed to be that his place is on Earth. Entirely different from Krypton, where he has a stable career, friends, family, even comfortable. But all seems come to an end when Krypton exploded, and he failed to saved them. The Kryptonians. It's even look like that luck is not on him, everyday.

This time, however, he tired of Earth. He wanted to explored the space, finding a new civilization, perhaps new place for him. Of course, he brought some things, but mostly a wallet of his fake identity he gained in Siberia, and a photo of him, and his comrades from Krypton. The past, it sounds better than the present.

And then, he flew. To space, and beyond. Finding a new planet, new civilization won't be hard...
