Oh, she just looks so cute and lovely while desperately struggling and trying to free herself from my grasp. If I were her father, I'd be proud in such a beautiful and fit daughter, but, unfortunately, I'm not here to be a health inspector. I'm here to grow as powerful as I possibly can. And that might involve breaking a bone or two.

"Oh, you want to know where your Daddy is?" I spoke at her face menacingly, then smirked and looked up, to the sky, where Hiroshi should still be.

"So, Hiroshi, I found this child while I was bored by your weak attacks. I dunno, maybe you know her. Maybe she'll help us if I, say..." I held Tomia up vertically, placing my free hand above her back. "...break her spinal cord? Or maybe a few ribs? Or maybe crack the skull?"

Oh, wow, I never imagined that it's so fun to act all cocky and arrogant. I don't get to do that often.

Hiroshi:

"Tell me Boy. How much do you love your daughter?"

Golden energy burst from the Saiyans frame as fury overtook him, the rubble around him glowing gold. It almost seemed to come alive as his ki cried out. Suddenly, an uncontrollable flood of filled him as his muscles bulged, the air becoming hazy while his frame finished coming alive, a hollow look in his eyes as he let a scream rip past his lips.

Concentrating his energy, Hiroshi reached out with his ki, grabbing hold of Buu with pure energy before violently sucking hsi power backwards, back towards him. Repositioning his form, the Super Saiyan was moving before the Majin had even begun turning, his fist lunging out for Buu's face.

Majin Buu

Interesting. Very interesting. This even worked better than I initially expected. Hiroshi was raging - I could feel it. I could feel the power, I could feel the energy. Especially when he sent that punch into my face, ripping off and vaporizing most of my left cheek. Phew, phew... The damage got fixed up almost immediately as I looked right into the Saiyan's hollow and blank eyes.

"Well done. I guess I don't need her anymore." I spoke, then threw the child still hanging in my palm upwards, only to send a concentrated finger blast right at her, resulting in an explosion that covered a large portion of the remaining city. "We don't need any useless weakling spectators for our fight." 'Fight'. More like a theatrical play for a dramatic absorption.

I cracked my knuckles, then opened up with a whip from my head tentacle, continued by a powerful electric discharge to weaken the Saiyan for the inevitable.

The Republic of Atria wrote:"That would indeed be me." Zeke replied to the man. "And I've got plenty of toys that I'm more than certain you're going to like. Let's head outside so I can show you without the colonel getting on my nuts for testing them indoors." He said and lead them outside to what appeared to be a scrapyard. "Where old military hardware goes to die. Basically giant paperweights." He explained, pulling the rifle he was working on from his shoulder. "Zero Point energy rifle. Or Stasis rifle if you don't feel like saying all of that. Let's get to the meat and potatoes." Zeke finished and walked over to a clearly out of order tanks. "Normally these things weigh between 50 to 80 tons, but with this neat little toy..." He said and fired the bright blue beam at the tank, causing it to be surrounded by the energy field while Zeke effortlessly pointed the gun above their heads leaving the heavy tank suspended in the air. "Weightless."

"The only limiting factor is size. You could probably do a small house before you start damaging the battery. At least currently. Once I streamline the design and battery, the size limit should be less of an issue. I'll spare you the nerd stuff on how it works, but as long as your target is within it's limits, it's not going anywhere until you release the trigger. Don't worry, there's a lock in the event your finger gets tired." He explained while dropping the tank about twenty feet in the air back where it was originally. "Now. For defensive purposes. We're got the Zero shield. Sample principle as the gun. It just stops things from hitting your body. Like say... Bullets. Lasers. Shrapnel." He said showing off a device about the size of a small child's backpack. "I think it'll just be easier to show you."

There was a crude test dummy on what appeared to be a firing range with several automated turrets controlled by him. He placed the backpack on the test dummy and backed away. "Now, I'm assuming you all know how a railgun works? Magnets are a wonderful thing. These turrets are basically automatic rail guns. The projectiles move at roughly mach ten. By comparison, fifty caliber rounds move at around mach 3. Shield engaged." The dummy was covered in a blue glowing field and the turrets each fired a barrage, with the rounds stopping cold before even touching the target. The shield then deactivated and the bullets all fell to the ground with the dummy without a scratch. "And as for what lies in the future... Well, since you guys seem to have a fancy for powered armor. I could probably whip up a few designs in a few weeks."

The businessman watched with interest as Zeke showed off his technology. It was impressive to say the least, a true marvel of technology. "Most incredible." the businessman said in response to the demonstrations, "Although, I feel you are restricted by the lack of resources at your disposal here. While this is all astonishing, we have much more grand plans for this technology you've developed. Though, the exact nature of it cannot be discussed here. And if the incentive of further progress is not enough to coax you, we can promise you at least double what the government is paying you."

Suddenly the man looked over to one of the soldiers and nodded, prompting the armored behemoth to begin walking towards back inside. The businessman turned back to Zeke once more, "Major Dunning is just going to return inside to persuade the Colonel to allow us to utilize your services. We expect he will agree regardless, but, the Major has a way with words. He's very persuasive."

As Dunning exited the scrapyard, the businessman pulled out and lit a cigar, taking a puff before continuing, "You see, we need someone like you for a special project. Our CEO, Mr. Ulysses, would like to speak with you personally at our headquarters in Germany, and discuss potential terms of the arrangement, should you accompany me. Our 747 is fueling up as we speak, prepping for takeoff." he said, extending his right hand to shake Zeke's, "So tell me Mr. Zeke, would you like to here our offer?"

Zeke shrugged. "I can always just quit. The contract I signed, I had altered so that I could quit anytime wanted and not have them pestering me after the fact. It was more of an under the table kind of thing so whatever works best for me is what I'm going to take." Double what he was making already? That alone would have made him switch sides, but access to better resources and tools plus whatever else they seemed to be offering? "Sounds good so far, but lets hear more about this deal. I like to know what I'm getting into before I jump into it." If they really were paying him double what he was already making, a few months of work and he would be set for life. "I do have a few questions. What kind of tech am I going to have to work with. I was working with some Kree stuff and that's what I was able to make."

"I've heard good things about Shi'ar equipment. Unfortunately, there haven't been too many of them on Earth. And even less of them left us some stuff we can use." Of course by that, he meant he was going to give them the leftovers and keep the good stuff for himself. It was how he did things. They would get the tech they wanted after he got what he wanted. Zeke always came first. He didn't have any sort of malice towards anyone. It was just the matter of him looking out for himself. Being as powerful as he was meant that people could easily see him as a threat. And he wanted to be able to defend himself should anyone actually attack him, or worse, betray him.

The spirit appeared in front of Lawbringer, while the barrier went down. "Okay let me go. I'll leave." He had a fake sigh and looked back.

Lawbringer's stance broke slightly as the spirit of her mother stood before her.
"Anna, Honey, it's really you", Lawbringer shook her head, No, No this is not real", "Why didn't you try to save me, Why Did you let me DIE?!" Her mother yelled lunging at her.

Titan knew Lawbringer needed to deal with her battle alone, She took her hand from Nicholas' neck then grabbing his Collar,
"If you're in agreement then, Let me make the trip quick". Titan then jet off, keeping a firm grasp on Nicholas so he wouldn't fall, She then setting Nicholas down near a Motel. Titan then hovered above Nicholas, "if I ever Find your Villain cronies in Chicago Again" Titan said Staring Nicholas down, "You'll be visiting the next Solar System over". Titan then jetted off, setting down she saw Lawbringer still struggling with the Spirit.

"Why did you Let me die?!" The spirit yelled as she jumped at lawbringer, Lawbringer rolled to the right avoiding it. "I'm sorry, I was a kid, I didn't know!" she said, smacking her baton into the spirit's face, pushing her back. "YOU LET ME DIE!" the spirit said then grabbing Lawbringer's wrists, Lawbringer started to tear up, "Mom, please". "I HATE YOU!", Then, before the spirit could do anything, Titan slammed her fist through the slightly physical form of the spirit, destroying it. Lawbringer dropped to her knee, trying to keep her demeanour, however seeing her long dead mother caused her to tear up, Titan placed her arm around Lawbringer.

"We're leaving" Titan said jetting off with Lawbringer, the Police arriving moments afterwards at the empty scene.

When Marcus' secretary appeared at the door and seemed confused as to why she'd been sent for, Derrick quickly caught on that something was amiss; this feeling was soon backed up by the sound of a charging taser.

Derrick turned his head back around as Marcus pulled the trigger, holding up his hand in a knee jerk response as he saw the taser fire.

The prongs shot forward until they reached the end of Marcus' desk, where they instead hovered idly in the air before Derrick's motionless hand. Derrick's eyes looked between the prongs and the gun before looking at Marcus.
"Now, now," Lanvin said with a straight face as he relaxed his hand, dropping the prongs to the floor before making a side-swiping gesture over his shoulder as he stood up; telekinetically throwing the secretary out of the room.

He held out his hand in a choke-hold like manner at Marcus, telekinetically grabbing the man by the throat before slowly lifting him off of the ground, "So..." Derrick smirked as he cocked his head to the side, "No armour to save you this time..."

Marcus struggled with Lanvin's Telekinesis choke, he'd trained for choking, tightening his larynx and controlling airflow, but this was another Level.
"No armour to save you this time...". Lanvin said with a amirk as he cocked his head to the side. Marcus quickly pressed a button on a concealed button within his dress shirt, triggering the defense mode for Sanza.

Daud

The Rebel Alliances wrote:-Daniel Carter

His metal tipped boots smacked against the linoleum with a distinct sound, but Daud had no need for stealth, plus he thought he looked like a badass in them, despite what Sora said. Walking through one of the meeting rooms, Daud tossed the folder on the table, feeling a sense of déjà vu about the whole scene. He shook it off and took his seat opposite of the door, waiting for his client's agent to walk through any moment. Just a few minutes later, Daniel Carter had shown up as promised, Daud and Daniel exchanging some greeting as the two took their respective seats. "Let me start off by saying that Killswitch has gone above and beyond our expectations. It's damn good work he's done, I can't even remember the last time someone has done that in this line of work."

Daniel seemed to beam, taking some pride in his client - Daud reasoned, looking the man over, but continued. "In this folder, I included the bank numbers you and Killswitch will withdraw from. It's based in the Cayman Islands, take the money and do as you please, just don't be an idiot about it." Daud explained, figuring the assassin and his agent would have some bearing on how to transfer funds, withdrawing in gold or other fiat currency, whatever, but Daud had more to say. "However, I also would like to offer Killswitch and yourself something...More."

"Which is?" Daniel asked immediately, sliding the folder over to himself, having glanced at the papers within, finding other contracts and some forms within. Reading them over quickly, the young man snapped his eyes up at Daud.

"I'd like to have both of you working for Ultra. It will be similar work, and pay will be under the table as always." Daud said, giving the man a sincere smirk.

"Thanks, but no thanks." Daniel said, without having to even ponder on it for too long. "Killswitch and I would like to keep our options open, rather than be signed on to Ultra for a fixed amount of time. With the new direction you're taking the Corps in as well... I can't say either of us are interested in heroics. I'm sure you can understand our concerns."

"Of course, of course." Daud replied with a smile, "Only an offer, but if that's the case, I have other persons of interest I'd like to be dealt with." Daud said, three contracts piled into the folder. "A bit of a step up from the first one, two of those contracts deal with a mutant mob boss in the refugee slums and a corrupt Forever Knight that's supplying him. The Knight uses an advanced version of their typical power suits, while the mutant can fire telekinetic blasts. The third..." Daud began, looking at Daniel, who was staring intently at the attached photo. "... Is an Amazonian causing major problems in one of the refugee slums. We're not quite sure on her powers, but caution should be taken. She's been able to defeat several local gang leaders and Forever Knight patrols - To the point that they intentionally skip over that area. Do the first two, and then work on the third."

Daniel stood, looking Daud directly in the face, and nodded. "Understood." Turning on his heel, he quickly walked out of the room with his manila folder clutched tightly, that Amazonian's name burned in his mind already. "Lysia..." He muttered, a ghost from his past.

Majin Buu

Fight.

Fight. That is the thought that I heard flashed in Hiroshi's mind, and it's what we're going to do. The raging Saiyan attacked me with a barrage of high-velocity, low-power energy blasts. Standard Saiyan loadout. I raised my right hand and cloaked myself in an energy absorption shield, easily defending myself from the attacks and even recovering some of my stamina reserves.

However, the punch to the jaw that came right after was much tougher to avoid, and thus I didn't, taking all of the force into my head. Why? Because something. Besides, the parts of my jaw that were shoved deep into my face almost immediately popped back, as if he was trying to hit a trampoline.

Now, there's an opening. But... what attack do I use?

I mentally shrugged. Hey, I never tried using the Dragon Force in a while. Maybe because I had already gotten all of it's composite powers beforehand, one by one, from other victims. It's still pretty nice, though.

"I wonder, how long do you want to play with me?" I said as I fired a wide rainbow-colored one handed energy beam at the opponent.

Manhattan

As Loss' private plane arrived in Manhattan, he straightened his tie. "Ashmore, before we go to see Charles, we should stop in on an old... associate of mine, if you will. He may be able to help with your situation more than I could."

Madam Fang raised an eyebrow. "The only sorcerer with that kind of power in New York is-" She narrowed her eyes. "No."

"He's probably one of the few magicians on Earth with the knowledge to rival my-" "No."

"He's trustworthy." "No."

"What do you have against Doctor Strange?"

"He's a raucous know-it-all who constantly endangers the entire world with his ridiculous antics, doing more harm than good in the realm of magic, not to mention his arrogant, self-righteous attitude... And he's American." Madam Fang paced back and forth, finally turning and glaring at Loss. "I bloody hate Americans."

"He got an artefact before you, didn't he?" Loss smirked.

"Stole it right from under my damn nose." She scowled.

Loss laughed. "It's his job, Ashmore. That's what he does. Anyway, it's beside the point- I sent him the details regarding your problem many years ago, shortly after I found out about them. I hadn't even met you yet, and already I was trying to help you."

"Bleeding heart."

"Grouchy old lady."

The two glared at each other before chuckling again. "Fine, I'll see Strange. I doubt he's made much progress, though. I'm restricted from utilizing the traditional time travel methods, remember? Something about the assassin's spell."

Loss' smile faded. "I know. Strange is the Sorcerer Supreme of our world, though. It may be an incredibly arrogant title, but it is one he has earned. If there is anyone left who can help you, help us, then it is him."

Madam Fang smiled sadly. "It's funny, my old friend. Even long after I have given up hope of ever returning home, there you go again, having enough for the both of us."

"That's what friends are for."

"177A Bleecker Street." Loss glanced up from his phone. "Here we are."

He and Madam Fang silently looked up at the large house. "I sense-" Madam Fang began hesitantly.

"Don't say it." Loss interrupted her, glaring. "And don't say 'I told you so' either."

"What do you-" An explosion went off inside the house. None of the civilians seemed to notice, meaning it was likely astral in origin. "Oh. So, should we help him?"

"He's the Sorcerer Supreme. He can pick up his own messes." Loss sighed. "Want to play chess, or something while we wait?"

Fang's response, if there was one, was cut off in another explosion.

"Oh, for the love of... Fine." Loss grumbled. "I'm making him pay for my suit if it gets damaged, though."

Loss summoned a small ball of energy into his hands, throwing it at the door. For a brief moment, it glowed, before opening violently inward. Inside, all the lights were, naturally, out. Madam Fang glanced at him. "You know the enchantments on the door were out, right? We could've just opened it."

"Oh, I know." Loss replied before walking inside, muttering several words before a small light engulfed his hand. Fang simply rolled her eyes and followed him in, her necklace glowing brightly. The two glanced around. "Three lefts and a right. I can sense a great deal of chaotic energy inside."

"Not just chaos." Fang muttered, kneeling for a moment. "Godly, and I can taste Doctor Fate's presence inside."

"So, what? Strange, Fate, and someone else against a chaos user?" Loss tilted his head. "No, wait, I recognize that chaos. It's Scarlet Witch's. I'm guessing the Godly magic is the bad guy here."

"Yep. You ready?" "As I ever am."

The two walked forward, carefully sidestepping the wards Strange had through his house. When they arrived at the room where the magical energy was concentrated, they found it burst wide open. Inside, Doctor Strange and Doctor Fate were working together to battle Hercules and Scarlet Witch. On the other side of the room, the figure of the former student of Charles Xavier, Quintavius Quire, stood. Kid Omega, a powerful telepath en par with the likes of Jean Grey and Emma Frost, was obviously manipulating the battle, the sinister smirk on his face revealing his ill intentions.

"I'll calm them down, you take the kid down- Alive." Loss began mumbling under his breath, magical energy gathering in his body as Madam Fang shot forward, a whisper rendering her invisible.

Loss released a powerful astral wave- Not designed to do damage, simply to invigorate and shock anything with a presence there. For a brief moment, all four of the powerful magical warriors paused, their heads clearing. At the same time, Madam Fang used a sleeping spell to knock Kid Omega to the ground, catching him before his head hit collided with the marble floor. Loss smirked. "Is this what you American sorcerers do all day, fight each other?"

Scarlet Witch and Hercules, naturally, were the first to recover. The Witch rolled her eyes. "Loss. Nice to see you too. Now, considering you just took out someone who I didn't know was there three minutes ago, I'm guessing we should probably not starting fighting again without a proper explanation." She glanced over to Hercules, to make sure that he understood that was a subtle way of her telling him not to attack. He shrugged.

Strange and Fate glanced at each other. "We were under the impression that you were attempting to breach the wall between this world and the realm of Dormammu." Strange cocked his head. "I could not, for the life of me, understand why the two of you would be doing that, but nevertheless, I was trying to stop you."

"I was told that you were attempting to summon the Lords of Order and Chaos to duke it out in the middle of Manhattan, and I wasn't going to let that happen." The Witch sighed. "We were duped." She glanced at Loss. "Mutant?"

He nodded in affirmation. "Dark telepath. Gets off on murder of non-mutants."

"Of course he does." Strange sighed. "Alright. I'll deliver him to Xavier-"

"Actually, we were headed there afterwards anyway." Fang smiled. "Once we drop him off, the X-Men can decide what to do with him."

Fate nodded, summoning one of his portals. "Hercules, come with me and I shall return you to your home. I would offer the same to you, Miss Maximoff, but..."

"Chaos, Order, I know the drill." She shrugged, waving towards Loss. "Say hi to Alex for me."

As the other three magicians left, Strange turned towards the two interlopers. "Now, nobody stops in to see me just because. What do you need, Loss?"

The two silently left the house, glancing at each other. Madam Fang smiled sadly. "I told you, Loss. Hope isn't something people in our business can afford."

"I refuse to believe that." He sighed. "There is always a way- We'll find it."

"Didn't you say much the same thing the first time we parted ways, so many years ago?" She chuckled softly. "It doesn't matter, my old friend. Let's just get to the school."

They drove the rest of the way in silence.

Lanvin shot out his other hand as he heard the turrets activate, snapping his head around in the direction of the first turret to fire as he levelled his hand at it. The trail of what seemed like pellets flew across the room in neat lines before coming to rest inches from the surface of Derrick's outstretched palm; becoming a hovering clump of pellets which bobbed uneasily before Derrick's steady hand which started to increase in size as the turrets continued to fire.

Derrick turned his head back to face Marcus, clenching his hand into a fist and spinning all of the pellets 180 degrees in the air.

"Come on now..." He nodded in the directions of the pellets, "Did you really think that would work?"

Derrick let go of the pellets, sending them flying back across the room before burying themselves in the walls, furniture and even the turrets themselves.
He threw Marcus against the glass window of the office before pinning him there, "I'm disappointed..."

Marcus slightly shrugged, "What's an Eccentric, Inclusive Chairman to do when He's attacked by a Metahuman Ruffian?" Marcus said in a sarcastic tone. Marcus looked up, seeing that Tracy has been pushed out of the room, and the Doors were shut tight (probably held by Telekinesis. Marcus dropped his Charismatic Mannerism, staring at Lanvin, "I know what you're capable of, and in this Situation, If you wanted me dead, I would've already been so". Marcus stared at Lanvin, keeping calm, however debating his options as he had many hidden features of the room. Marcus waited on Lanvin, he wondered what would work, hidden Panic Room, backup, security, or something less orthodox.

Pausing as he let Marcus speak, Derrick smirked at his observations thus far; clearly he'd been paying attention over the course of their previous encounters. He kept Marcus telekinetically pinned against the window as he paused for a moment, keeping enough pressure on him to make the glass creak slightly; Derrick heard the increase in Marcus' heartbeat - as well as what seemed like fear - when he applied the increased telekinetic pressure on him.

"Smart man..." Derrick smirked as he threw Marcus' chair out of the way, "So, I'll make this quick..."

Taking a step around Marcus' desk to close the distance further, Derrick continued to walk until he was more-or-less right in front of the man. He held up his other hand and pointed it at Marcus' forehead - knowing that Marcus had seen the after-effects of what followed before and would certainly take that into account when he answered.

"The girl...The one who was in the alley," Derrick said quietly as he smirked, "Where is she now?"

Marcus increased his heartbeat, Derrick smirked, believing he'd instilled fear, 'I have a few exitways from this if he breaks the glass'.

"Smart man..." Derrick smirked as he threw Marcus' chair out of the way, "So, I'll make this quick...", Marcus' chair was tossed aside as Derrick walked closer. Derrick pointed towards Marcus' forehead, threatening to cut it open, though the threat was real Marcus wasn't afraid. "The girl...The one who was in the alley,", "Where is she now?", Marcus paused for a second, "I don't know, hopefully far away from you". Marcus saw the place where Derrick was standing, across from a Stone Statue of a Kneeling Guardian like figure. "When you tread into a Wolf's den, watch your step", Marcus saw Derrick raise an eyebrow to the statement, "Delta 9 - 0", As Marus quickly said so out loud, the Guardian raised the spear they were holding, shooting a projectile canister out of it towards him.

Whether or not Derrick caught the canister, Marcus closed his eyes and looked away from it, as the Canister exploded revealing it was a powerful flash bang, more than likely interrupting Lanvin's telekinesis.

Marcus' statement was sure enough a cause for alarm for Derrick, he raised an eyebrow at the comparison to a wolf's lair as he quickly worked backwards in his mind. He glanced back at the door, thinking it to be some kind of trap.

However Derrick turned on the spot as Marcus spoke some sort of code; hearing some sort of firing mechanism trigger moments later, catching the canister with relative ease a heartbeat later as he suspended it a few inches away from his hand. He looked at the canister for a moment before turning back to give Marcus a look of noticeable dissatisfaction.

"Really?" Derrick smirked at the pinned man before freezing when he realised that Marcus had his eyes shut and was looking away from him in anticipation of something.

Derrick looked back at the canister in horror just in time to be utterly blinded, deafened and bewildered as it blew up in his face.
Shattering the window Marcus was pinned against in the process as the telekinetic hold that Derrick had on him dissipated in Derrick's moment of paralysis.

Marcus' play worked, as Lanvin turned his head the Canister exploded, However shattering the glass and releasing Lanvin's grip.

Marcus fell out of the window, down the side of the building of the incredibly tall Skyscraper, down the middle of the partly circular space of the Cryotech Headquarters. Marcus quickly reached into his pockets, 'for the love of God tell me I stashed something in here', Marcus thought as he reached into the concealed pocket of his Coat. Marcus then found a small hookshot, 'Prototype, crap' He thought as he shot it at an outcropping Flag pol sticking out horizontally. The Hookshot wrapped around the flagpole, jerking Marcus as he came to a fast stop, Marcus paused breathing and looking around. Marcus held onto the hookshot with his left hand, using his right hand to use his earpiece, "Sanza", [Yes sir?], "Remind me to Never Leave the hookshot behind", [Of course sir]. Marcus then swung back and forth, towards a ledge, carefully distributing his weight, as he got a foothold on it, he reached out and grabbed a hold with his right hand, detatching the Hookshot with his left hand.

Marcus exhaled, looking around with his hands on his waist, "What a View" Marcus said looking out towards Chicago Downtown, and a good view of Lake Michigan. [Sir, should I contact Lawbringer], "No, No, We can handle it. I believe there's a hidden entry way up around here", [Yes sir, just to your left] Sanza said opening the panel, Marcus climbing in quickly and the door closing behind. Marcus walked into the Cryotech Panic Room, stashed with Goods, supplies, Gadgets and self defense weapons Marcus hurried through it. [Sir, what should I do?], "Contact Security and have then seal off the Top floor, Apprehend Lanvin", [Yes sir]. The Cryotech Security was alerted, shutting off the Elevators to the top floor, with the Security Officers on the level rushing to Marcus' office, whether or not Lanvin was still there.

Derrick blinked rapidly as he forced himself back to his feet, his limbs were groggy and unresponsive thanks to whatever had been in that canister - it had to have been some kind of super flashbang for it to have been as effective as it had been. Slapping the side of his head to stop the ringing in his ears from being so overwhelming, Derrick quickly became aware that security had definitely been alerted; the sound of dozens of heavy footsteps outside the office door was evidence enough of that.

He glanced around the room from where he stood in search of a way out, preferring to not have to fight his way out of a skyscraper if there was an easier alternative available. His eyes passed over Marcus' desk before zipping back to it and hovering over it for a few moments. He looked at the door before letting out a sigh of defeat and cursing himself for even considering anything this stupid and crazy.

Bringing both of his hands to bear, Derrick concentrated on the desk before making an upwards jerk-like motion with his hands; tearing the desk off of the floor before manoeuvring it towards the window. His hands trembled slighty as he walked over to the desk before, after a countdown from three, standing on top of the desk and then lifting the desk out of the window with himself on top of it.

While it wasn't exactly flying, or the most convenient of escape routes, it was somewhat comical to watch as Derrick dropped to a crouch to keep his balance while also starting to lower the desk towards the ground far below at an ever-increasing-speed like a makeshift elevator.

About ten seconds later, he was a few dozen meters off the ground; at which point he started to telekinetically pull upwards to slow his rate of descent. Three seconds after that, he leapt off the desk and fell the remainder of the two meter distance under the influence of gravity; he glanced up at the desk before throwing it in the direction of the Cryotech headquarters, shatter numerous buildings from the impact.

His eyes traced upwards towards the top of the skyscraper, "Thanks for the lift, Marcus..." Derrick smirked before he turned on the spot and walked in the direction of the nearest subway station.

It was evident that he'd need a new target now...

The Templar High Council wrote:Magic shite

For once, Simon wasn't working on a magic project when weirdness struck. He was sitting on his couch, watching He-Man and eating dill pickle-flavored potato chips. But, as always, he was prepared for weirdness. So, when his warding crystal flashed red, Simon knew that he only had seconds. He cast a spell on his chip back, and then the world went dark.

There were flashes of light, a whooshing noise, and then, Simon emerged from the tunnel. He didn't just fall, or even have the luck to land with dignity; he was spat out, and bounced unceremoniously across the hard ground, his forward momentum interrupted by a signpole. As he staggered around, pain shooting from his family jewels, Simon took stock of his surroundings. The buildings were wooden cottages, the air was clean, and the people gathered around staring at him were wearing…

Oh shit, he was in midieval times. Or a Renaissance fair; but that was a lose-lose scenario. As he struggled to his feet, Simon's mind raced. Medieval times…Merlin…his grandfather. And, right on cue, Blackburn awoke. His head seemed to scream, his eyes felt like they were ready to pop out, and Simon collapsed. He had to get away, back to where he could contain a long dead phantom without potentially dealing with a living version.

OH, TO BE YOUNG AGAIN. TO BE ALIVE. TO BE ABLE TO HAVE SEX…

"Shut…up…" Simon spat, forcing Blackburn down. When the pain was gone, Simon rose. There was a girl there, and she seemed…well, conscious. He stumbled over to her.

Godbreakers vs Xyrixma

Charmera wrote:-Zaki

Neros:

He stood like a sturdy statue, in stark contrast to the fluid and mobile beings made of slime, his subordinates flanking him on either side as Xala and Zaki stood slack-jawed in front of him and staring at the fearsome Xyrixma. Behind his helmet, Max's jaw muscles tightened as one of them spoke at him, slewing her words wildly and telling him to simply butt out of their business. The beginning of a snarl formed on his face, the rest of his body tightening as his body flooded his blood with adrenaline, preparing to fight. Still, the only reason such a reaction would occur is the immediate and pressing threat of the Xyrixma elite before him.

"My concern..." Max began, speaking slowly and with intent, "Lies with these two Xyrixma, one of whom is a loyal steward of my realm. A trait you have seemed to overlook in your mistreatment of her. Xala," He began, the slime girl slowly looking back at Max, taking her eyes away from the fearsome generals - eyes that painted the fear in her body all too well, "...Has told me much about the Xyrixma." But not enough, Max realized, as she was nothing but a scout taking orders in her time with the Xyrix, inept at that, but full of potential that only Otto could seem to coax out.

Max had no idea what types of energy these elite could absorb, nor the limits of what they could absorb. He had only the hard evidence of Xala and her affinity with solar radiation, and the anecdotal evidence of Zaki absorbing magic, as well as the few others Xala could tell the Mad King about. It was a situation he dreaded, one where he was woefully unprepared for. Turning tail was the best option, retreat, regroup, and research with Zaki - seemingly a high-ranking Xyrixma - at his discretion. Max looked to Otto and Val respectively, the two ready for his order - to attack or flee, there was no shame in either.

A sharp, traumatic pain struck Max behind his forehead, like a scalpel was stabbed into the frontal lobe, causing the King to lift one of his hands up and place it against his helmet. It was like an exploding headache, with vision blurring, he struggled to remain conscious and look at the Xyrixma before him, seeing the foremost Xyrix staring potently directly at him. It clicked that she had an affinity for mental powers, causing a smirk to form on her face, reading that thought. He breathed deeply, Otto and Val looking at him with concern.

"...My King?" Otto said, placing a hand on Max's arm.

"...Get out..." Max growled, before shouting, "...Of my MIND!" With those words, he unleashed a powerful wave of energy, blowing back whatever was in front of him, which happened to be his allied Xyrixma and their would-be combatants - causing Xala to stumble slightly. The wave was powerful enough to sever the psychic connection briefly, in which Max would form an absorption barrier around his brain, preventing future attacks if he concentrated. He did the same to his allies, walking forward briskly to begin the battle. Val rushed ahead of him, intent on being at her King's side in the assault, the red Xyrixma appearing in front of her, looming over the girl. Otto had advanced as well, another Xyrixma appearing before him.

The cold stare down was torturous, but either side refused to give ground, not knowing just how badly they were outclassed.

Charm:

Zaki looked towards both sides. In that moment she was briefly reluctant about fighting her own kind. She did not like that this was becoming a habit, though it was unavoidable in most instances. She did feel that she should be trying to resolve things with more peaceful methods, but Zaki could see no way to do so at the moment. So she sided with the Godbreakers, taking a place near Xala. She felt the new magical energies coursing through her as she stood.

"Whatever you do, don't let any of them touch you for too long." She spoke. "Oblixia especially."

Suddenly a frustrated grunt could be heard, Kal raged as she expelled energy to propel herself into Val, slamming a fist at her, though it was blocked by an emotional barrier, keeping Val safe from the brunt of the force. However, the two of them were sent careening into a nearby hill, somewhat far away from the rest of the group. "Come on fleshy! Let's see if you're worth my time!" Kal raged as she faced her opponent, daring her to attack the red slime, now glowing with red rage. "Come on! HIT ME!"

Kal has the right idea Sisters, Split up our enemies and pick them off one by one. Oblix spoke telepathically.

Obliging, Glaxia quickly moved away from her foe, only to bombard him with icy blasts in a bid to send him flying away from the rest of the group.

Zaki was about to say something to the group, when she saw Jaz blast a wave of sound which sent both her and Xala flying backwards. Zaki grunted as she got back to her feet, seeing Jaz and Zia now standing before them.

"Zaki! Long time no see!" Shouted Jaz excitedly. She was always loud. "How have you been? Hanging out with all these spinies and weaklings?"

"They're not as weak as you may think."

Zia scoffed. "They've softened you, that's for sure." She remarked. Then Jaz send out another blast of sound which Zaki managed to deflect.

"So, human, this leaves just you and me." Spoke the Thought Eating slime woman. She did the mental equivalent of tapping on Max's mind shield and smiled. "Mental defenses. Impressive. Let's see how long your concentration holds." Oblix simply stood there, but mentally she began bombarding her foe with errant thoughts, things designed to confuse and upset.

Neros:

Val grit her teeth as the Xyrixman General bore into her like a freight train, proping herself up with her back against the hill. Kal’s screams were neatly incoherent, but Val could hear them well enough. She smirked with a hint of arrogance as she felt the emotions surging through the Xyrix, feeling those very emotions ignite her bones and muscle. “If you insist!” She yelled, rearing back, and delivering a stunning punch to the formless mass that assaulted her. She punched a hole into the slime, giving Kal a pause, but the hole refilled itself almost instantly.

The cackles of the Red Xyrixma were nerve racking, but Val pushed an emotional barrier between them - giving herself some distance. “Your attacks are pitiful! TRY HARDER!” With that, the Red Xyrixma charged again, Val trying to think of something to do against her, some skill or move that could be of use.

“Fuck…” Val muttered, leaping back to avoid Kal’s rush, but was instantly blindsided by a red tentacle from the side - Kal having stretched out in order to clock Val fiercely. The hit sent the Mad Queen careening off to the side, the hungry eyes of Kal following her body, Val becoming enraged - fueling both herself, and Kal as well. “Fine!” She declared, coming to a halt by jamming her heels in the snowy ground, “I guess I’ll just fuckin’ hit you!” Val leapt forward with an intense burst of speed, unleashing a barrage of punches and kicks almost too fast for superhuman eyes to see - only blurs coming in and out, Val and Kal dancing back and forth as Val cut loose.

With major pieces and bits blown away, reducing Kal’s mass and making her look like red swiss cheese, Val stopped, breathing heavily, as the Xyrixma just cackled like a fool. “Outta steam? Where was all that aggression...Where was all that rage?!” She demanded, instantly regaining her form, casting a mouth-watering look at Valerie, the Mad Queen clenching her body, readying herself to go on the defensive.

On the other side of the battlefield, the coldest of winds blew as Otto stood, watching his foe with keen and clever eyes, a hand placed squarely on his rapier’s hilt to draw at a moment's notice. The Xyrix named Glaxia moved away slight, and then unleashed a hellstorm of ice attacks. Otto drew his blade in a fraction of a second, cleaving an attack in two and slicing another on his return swing in rapid succession. The frost danced around him, clinging to his Asgardian cells, and powering him to higher levels. “Glaxia, is it? A pleasure to meet you in an Asgardian realm such as this. I am -”

“That doesn’t concern me.”

“I’m sorry?”

“Your name. I don’t care.”

“You don’t have to be so cold - Oh…” He said, finding the personality of his opponent to be nothing better than ice cold. A fitting trait, but not one Otto enjoyed being paired against. It lacked the thrill of battle that Asgardians crave, reducing the fight to a minor spat if anything. Glaxia conjured up another snow storm, intent on blowing Otto away. He dug his heels in and tightened his body, resisting the attempts to move, the Xyrix using the environment to further boost her powers. “Anything else in your arsenal, dear?” He said smoothly, Glaxia taking immediate offense, and began to shower the Asgardian with ice shards the size of spears.

Xala had little time to chat more with Zaki when she was blown back, splattering her all over the ground for a moment before she composed herself. Dizzy, she looked up as Zaki quickly returned to her feet, facing down two of the fearsome Generals. She hesitated, unsure of what to do, when a voice began to talk to her. “Xala. Look at Otto.” She recognized Max’s voice, but didn’t know how he was speaking to her. “He fights without question. Without needing to know if he’s strong enough. Without limits on what he can or can’t do. You would do best to do the same.

“I...I don’t know how.” She said aloud, not knowing Max was speaking with his thoughts through the mental shield he had given his allies. Zia and Jaz gave her a confused look, even Zaki gave her a crossways look. But, she lowered her head, and slowly began to stand up, placing her two feet on the ground, but she looked meek in comparison to the bold, strong Xyrixma before her.

“Oh wow! You really think you have what it takes to roll in our weight class, don’cha, you little traitor.” Jaz said with excitement. “Ya’know, I told the others that you were better than what they thought. They wanted to eat ya! Though, the way you’ve been lookin’ at that handsome little fleshbag with the sword makes me curious...”

“What did you say?” Xala spat, staring intently at the Xyrixma’s feet, anger flushing through her being as Jaz talked about Otto.

“I just wonder what his slime must taste like is all.” Jaz said with a flick of her tongue, Xala’s slimy tentacles flaring out.

Consider this a gift, Xala.” The voice of Max said, Xala’s energy suddenly being flooded with a yellow aura, the beating heart of what felt like an entire star coursed through her veins. “Use it well.

“Yes...My King…” She uttered, her eyes glowing yellow as well, her fists tightening with impotent fury, Jaz’s smirking face taunting her every step of the way.

“Full power already? Ohoho, so cute! Once I deal with you, I’ll go cut in on Glaxia’s turf and see what that strappin’ Nord boy is up t-” Her words were cut off by Xala’s hand grasping her neck, Jaz literally unphased at the development, simply cutting off her words and giving her trademark smile right to Xala’s face.

“Don’t talk about Otto.” Xala commanded, forming a massive blast of solar energy at Jaz’s neck, exploding the attack outwards, torching several meters behind Jaz in what Xala felt was the strongest attack she had ever delivered...But even then, the Godbreaker Xyrixma knew that it would take more than that to kill Jaz. Far more, more than Xala thinks she even has…

Morningstar stood before the leader of the Xyrixman elite, feeling the love taps and the thought assaults, absorbing those energies with his potent Equation, But, he could feel Oblix’s assault on his mind and all of his allies, and it took straining amounts of mental power to hold on. “It is a fruitless endeavor, Thought Eater.” He said through clenched teeth, “My mind is one of the greatest my kind can offer, a fortress, with a willpower to match Gods.”

“Oh I can tell…” Oblix said, with a hint of sarcasm, “But that little gift you gave Xala put a big dent in your reserves. I can feel your shield weakening.” She spoke the truth, but Max refused to acknowledge it. “Pray tell, will you collapse the mental defense from your own mind, or that of your allies?” Oblix was attacking his thoughts through his hearing now - But Max held strong, adamant in his refusal to give in. “Your mind does not even come close to the ones I have attacked previously, but it is so delicately full of juicy knowledge.”

Max tightened his eye lids as Oblix turned her assault up a notch, staggering her foe, making his knees weak and ready to give out. The Mad King fell to his knees, his hands placed tightly against his helmet as he put forth every single bit of energy he could to defending his mind and his Godbreakers, Oblix mustn't learn of Madworld, or else, his Kingdom will fall… "No…” He whispered weakly, a sly smile appearing on Oblixia’s face.

Charm:

Meanwhile Kal begun her own assault, rage increasing the power of her blows as she sucked in rage from her victim. Still, she couldn’t wait to lay her hands on Val and drain her completely. She seemed such a fresh, ripe source for anger… like a nice juicy fruit. “Come on!” Shouted the slime being, “You got to have more than that in you!”

Glaxia made her move on Otto, attacking him with her slimy arms, now formed into slashing blades as she slammed them down onto him like a whirlwind of slime. Otto managed to block them and finally rolled out of the way. “I suppose I’ll take that as a yes.” Otto remarked. The Xyrixma then suddenly shot out a tentacle and slammed it into the Asgardian.

“You talk too much.”

Otto groaned, returning to his feet quickly.

Jaz and Xala traded blasts of sound and heat, Jaz laughing maniacally as she sped towards the red Xyrixma, Xala managed to fire beams of heat back as she dodged or blocked blasts of sound meant to destroy her. Jaz had an advantage in the natural Xyrixma talent to amplify sound, and Xala was managing to tank the worst of the blasts for the most part due to Xyrixma kinetic durability. “What did I touch a nerve?” Asked Jaz with a Cheshire grin, “You can’t blame a girl for being curious. Especially with that ass…”

Xala gave a enraged grunt in response and blasted Jaz remorselessly.

“Ho boy. Some one is jelly.” She spoke. Then chuckled at her pun. “You know I wouldn’t be opposed to sharing that cool Nordic desert…”

Another angered scream, another shrill girlish giggle.

“I’ve sampled the thoughts of countless minds. Tasted and devoured ideas, dreams… plans…” Spoke Oblixia as she upped her assault. “Yours is definitely special. Few have been able to resist me so well… fewer still with your juicy thoughts.” She grinned a little more. Then looked over as she saw Kal and Val. “Hm. I wonder which will break first. Your teammates or your minds. Once Kal is done with her, I wouldn’t mind sifting through what’s left of her… Not at all.”

Neros:

The Mad King had pushed past his limits, and the shield was steadily collapsing, another intrusion by Oblixia would be the final push and it all would come tumbling down. He gasped a deep breath and shot his eyes open, the blood vessels shooting forth as his mind fell victim to the Thought Eater. Oblixia gave a shrill giggle, probing all throughout Max's mind like a kid in a candy store, Max struggling to regain his motor control, but could only scream and involuntarily grab breaths of air. "Such subtle details to your world..." The Xyrixma teased, the Mad King snapping himself to control, and slamming himself in the stomach with his palm. Hard.

Behind him, a vortex tore open the space between realms, and what appeared to be tethers latched onto to his Godbreakers and yanked them backward, away from danger, away from the fearsome Xyrixman Generals. Xala had little time to grab and hold on to Zaki, her King launching his escape before the other Xyrix could be given a tether. As soon as they were pulled through, the portal closed, sealing the Godbreakers and their new companion in a pocket dimension nestled somewhere between the Nine Realms. They all breathed deeply, trying to catch their breaths from the intense battle, but Max breathed the deepest.

"Fuck." He said, slamming one of his palms against the floor, sending a shockwave of energy from it out of anger.

"Morningstar, what's wrong?" Xala asked, removing herself from where she held onto Zaki. The Mad King turned and looked at her, his eyes strained and engulfed with rage. Xala took a step back, a sense of dread filling her.

"She saw it, Xala." Maxwell spat, "She saw Earth. She saw Madworld."

Xander spent the next twenty minutes explaining everything that had happened and how sorry he was for snapping at her. "But that's all beside the point. I just wanted to apologize for the way I've been lately." Xander said, taking her hands in his own. "You're my wife and that comes first. I promise I'll do a better-" He was cut off by Naja putting her finger over his mouth.

"I get it." She grinned. "For a guy who makes even the strangest things sound boring, you sure can talk a lot. I love you. You're a dumbass, but you're my dumbass. I accept your apology, but tonight, you're going to be doing penance." She teased. "And hopefully changing back to normal... Because you're missing... A few vital pieces to the puzzle." Referring to the fact that his new form lacked... The fun parts. At least Naja didn't outright say it. "But for now, let's get everyone adjusted. You dragged half an alien race down here. After draining their old leaders of their power. How many times have you done that this month?" She asked.

"Three. If you count the slavers. Barring them, two... What can I say. I have problems with authority. Unless I am that authority. Then it's fine." It was supposed to sound like a joke. He said it like a joke. Naja shook her head, but she was amused. The couple spent the next few hours locating the Elos to semi-proper living quarters on Praetoria. Luckily they don't take up much room or resources. Or sleep. Most of them opted to read the incredible amount of signals being transmitted and catch up on human culture. Xander didn't even know he could do that. He was about to ask how until Naja pulled him down by his ear.

"No. You are going to sit down and watch movies like a normal person. You owe me several days worth of us time and I'm claiming it all now. Get your skin back so we can go actually do that." She waited for Xander to change back for about a minute. He was making wewird faces and looking at himself, but he hadn't changed back yet. "Is there something wrong?"

"Maybe? Normally this is easy. My body just isn't responding." That could be taken in a number of ways. But it was in the most literal sense. Normally, minor shapeshifting was quite simple, but this time it just wasn't working. Then he really tried to focus and it worked. Kind of. There was an explosion that rocked half a city block's worth of space and Naja was shielding herself, and Xander was standing in the middle of the city completely nude. "This is going to take some getting used to..." He muttered as Naja burst out laughing while he stood, with his arms crossed. "It's not funny. Since when is the human body so hilarious? Everyone has these organs if they're male."

"Get-Get inside..." She said covering her mouth and pushing her husband into their home..

*THUMP*

Kylie fell flat on her face in the dirt. Her head was spinning, but she could tell that there were people around her. They were looking about, confused, as Kylie's eyes straightened and she saw; a beautiful castle in the distance, smaller peasant homes, and definitely no WiFi signal.

"Yup. This is Camelot, alright."

Boxer, along with three others, were marching forward, illuminated only by the moonlight. In front of them, Penguin stood with a smirk, backed by two of his own men.

"Cobblepot. You're under arrest for the murder of a Mr. Jackson Peters. You have the right to remain silent." He glanced at the two bodyguards, waiting for a response. His hands idly tapped on his waist, where he held two handguns.

The Penguin chuckled. "So, Gordon decided he finally had enough evidence to take me in, hmm?" He nodded towards one of the goons, who produced a small folder. "I presume it is this evidence?"

Boxer's eyes widened slightly. "Move in, now." He dropped a small pellet and he and his runners leapt backwards, suddenly obscured by a smokescreen. The ducked behind cover. Suddenly, above, them, a jet dropped off two figures wearing all black. "The Bats are here, move in to reinforce them. We're taking the Penguin in tonight." He heard shots fired in the smoke, and he drew his guns, carefully walking into the smoke.

Strangely, though, the ground beneath him almost seemed to give way, and he fell, and he fell, and he fell. When he finally landed, it was with a heavy thud, impacting the dirt. He was disoriented, but was quickly addressed the situation anyway. In the distance, he saw a brilliant castle, and around him were several other people.

"Yup. This is Camelot all right." Boxer paled slightly, turning towards the figure who said this.

"Did... Did you just say Camelot?"

Avatar Project Part 1

"It's late. And while you were gone. I did some shopping..." She said taking off her clothes and tossing them aside. "And we're not leaving our room until the sun comes back up. You owe me that much. I got us movies, snacks, and..." She said pulling out a box from behind their bed. "I've got us something to... Spice up our... Physical relationship." She grinned and put the box down beside the bed. "Come on. I got us a bunch of movies I think you're gonna like. I even downloaded all twelve episodes of One Punch Man. Something I know you're going to like." She finished, kissed his cheek, pulled him into their bed and turned on the TV. "Oh! I almost forgot." She rolled off the bed and hit the floor with an audible thud.

"What was that about?" Xander asked and looked over at his wife. "You okay?" His face turned red when he saw her climbing back onto the bed and lying down next to him. "Naja... What... I don't... You can't possibly tell me you enjoy wearing that. Don't you think it's just a little... Degrading?" He asked. "Just a bit?"

"Not really, no. I'm wearing it because I want to. And to see how red your face gets. It never stops being funny. Plus, it has my name on it. Now shh. We've got over a dozen hours of movies and anime to get through, and so help me I will chain you to the bed if I have to." She said half as a joke and half serious. "Don't think I won't." Xander knew she would if she had to, but he did owe her for missing out on the things she wanted to do because of other stuff he had going on. So they spent the next 5 hours going through One Punch Man. And true to Naja's words, Xander did enjoy it. Quite a bit. He was much like Saitama in his early days. Powerful and bored.

"Okay. I will admit it. That was enjoyable. I'm aware of how difficult animation is, and I must say that they did an amazing job. Thank you." He said and hugged his wife. "I wasn't aware that things like this existed. It was funny, a good commentary on heroes, and I can see how much of an idiot I was back then."

"We're making progress." She replied, leaning on him. They spent the next several hours watch various movies and eating an unhealthy amount of junk food until they fell asleep. More or less lying on one another. At least until they woke up to a proximity alarm. Xander was up first and upon trying to crawl out of bed, fell flat on his face because Naja had coiled her tail around his leg. "Where are you going?"

"That's the atmosphere alarm. A foreign object, likely an alien ship, entered it." He explained. Naja gave him an annoyed look and crossed her arms with her tail still firmly around his leg. Xander sighed. "Alright... Can I at least check and see if anyone else has already gotten to it?" Naja thought for a moment and let him go. "I'll be right back. I promise." He said, kissed her cheek, and flew to his control room. Once he turned off the alarm, he scanned every news-station for anything about it. His sensors picked it up as hovering right over a major metropolitan center, but nothing about it. It wasn't cloaked or stealthed. And it was plainly visible to everyone underneath it. "Naja... Come here real quick. This is weird."

Naja took off the "accessories" she was wearing last night and grabbed her costume as she walked into the Control Room. "What's going on? An alien ship? Shoo it away."

"That's not the weird part. Par for the course for a Tuesday. The problem is that people don't even seem to know that it exists. No panic. Not a single news report... The Avengers and the League don't know anything... Motherbox. Scan."

"Psionic energies detected." It responded.

"Okay. That makes sense." Xander said. "We're shielded from psionic assault while we're in range of a motherbox. Everyone else? Not so much. I''ll go shoo them away. Shouldn't take more than an hour."

"Go ahead. I'm gonna take a shower and eat something." She said, for once not unhappy to see him go. "Be back within an hour or I'm gonna make you put that on..."

Xander snickered. "Alright. Love you." He engaged Praetoria's Psi dampeners while he took the motherbox. At the very least his country would be immune as long as they stayed there. And he was immune to any psi tricks while he had the motherbox. This should be a quick little mission. In theory.

As Xander approached the ship several of the aliens on board watched him as he flew up to what he thought was the bridge. Initial scans showed that the human was outputting incredible amounts of energy despite not doing anything. "A potential specimen for the Avatar Project. And a resistance to our abilities. Yes... He should prove most valuable. Let him in." One of them commanded and a slot on the ship opened up to let Xander in. "Human. You are one of the guardians of this world. We mean no harm. We need your help." The voice said in Xander's head. "I cannot read your mind, but you can hear me."

Xander didn't believe them for a second. If they really needed help, they wouldn't be trying to hide their presence. "Uh huuuh." Xander replied. "And that's why you're trying to hide from everyone with some Psi powers?"

"Your kind has a record of destroying invaders. We wanted to speak with one capable of withstanding it. There are a few of you who can see through our cloak, but you are one of the few whom we wished to speak to. Please. Let us speak about the situation and then you can place your judgement."

It was a fairly solid argument. So Xander played along and followed the path of opened doors until he came to a room filled with a handful of them. "Alright. I'm here."

"Thank you for your time human." The one in charge said and floated in front of him. "We are the Elder, and we are dying. Our kind has suffered though very acute form of muscular atrophy. We have been attempting to find a cure for decades. We believe we have found one."

"The cure is me right? You want my DNA or something to engineer one? And..." They weren't lying. Their bodies had shown a drastic decrease in muscle mass from what he saw with his enhanced eyesight. Another few years and their hearts would likely give out as well. "...That is a pretty bad case."

"We would like as much genetic material as you can give. Your body is unique."

"...How about this. I'm not comfortable with giving blood and tissue samples to people I just met. Give me a blood sample and I promise I'll make you a cure for your condition."

"You do not understand. We have tried to cure our condition for decades. Our bodies cannot be cured. What we are doing is making bodies capable of holding our consciousness without tearing it apart. Your body can store an incredible amount of energy. From what we've detected, your body is outputting enough power that you could be mistaken for a star. Which means it is more than powerful enough to withstand us. Should you assist us, we will be more than happy to share our technology with you. The disease you refer to as Cancer. An affliction that ravages human and many other species in the universe alike. We have long since cured. All human ailments can be cured."

Xander still didn't fully trust them. "That's a generous offer. But, just let me cure you and you can be on your way."

"We were hoping to do this without violence..." The leader one stated and the three of them telekinetically smashed Xander's Motherbox, and immediately began to telepathically assault him. "Your resistance is admirable. Few minds have the strength to fight this."

"Fewer can do this..." Xander hissed and unleashed a massive blast of energy the obliterated the Elders and their ship. "I tried being nice... Ho well." He said and flew home.

Asumar Masaki | Kazuko Masaki

As the sun continued to shine brightly over the hilltop, Asumar and Kazuko both sat upon the ledge of the hill, staring down at the field before them, Asumar having an interested expression on his face "We just about have everything we need to begin our project Kazuko." Asumar said to his older brother, bringing out the command gauntlet that was on his wrist, a small holographic projection appearing on the very center of the device "And I think that I have the means to construct a good portion of the city." Kazuko turned his head towards the command gauntlet and the holographic contents, revealed to be a swarm of nanobots that had the ability to build massive structures, create any weapon that they desired, they could even terraform the landscape into anything that the Masaki Brother's desired "I made sure that in the event that the Central Server was destroyed, the projects that I had in place would not be entirely destroyed, as it stands right now, I have access to a few prototypes that I've tried to perfect during my relatively short reign as the grand warlord of the dynasty, including my little Nanobot Project I had initiated years ago." Asumar explained to Kazuko, who nodded with a hopeful smile on his face.

From what he learned about the Nanobot Project, It had been in it's early stages of development and considered to be in the prototype stage, but after Asumar's rise to power, the Nanobot Project was completed in a matter of a single week and even capable of Terraforming an entire world if ordered to do so, Kazuko didn't expect the Nanobots to survive after the Dynasty's destruction, but someway, and somehow, Asumar still had the Nanobots in his possession "I didn't know that you still had a database of our projects in your Command Gauntlet, I couldn't decrypt it's security firewalls and simply assumed that you had the basic necessities that all gauntlets were supplied with." Kazuko watched as Asumar stood up and pressed down on the miniature touch screen, and in response, a small hatch from the gauntlet opened up, followed by a swarm of metallic Nanobots which seemed to take the form of flowing, metallic sand that shot down into the flat field at lightning speed, their numbers multiplying as if they were in a state of accelerated cellular division, something that mildly surprised Kazuko "Wow, you really did put work into those Nanobots Asumar." Kazuko complimented, watching as the Nanobots sat around like a pool of sand, waiting for what should be done next.

"Hmph, did you doubt my abilities as a Technological Scientist?" Asumar shot back with a slight smirk on his face, watching as the Nanobots began to scatter all around the field and begin to build the foundations of the city that the Masaki Brother were envisioning "This'll be one of the greatest creations we will ever put our mind to." Asumar smiled, staring out into the field with a hopeful expression on his face "Sigma Island, our new home..." Asumar's eyes began to glow bright purple from simple excitement "I can't wait to reform our long lost legacy..."

Avatar Project Part 2

Xander flew back home to Praetoria. He was gone for a whopping fifteen minutes. "Problem was dealt with. And in record time. We're getting good at this." He snickered. "They got my motherbox, but I managed to blow the ship into ash before they could do any of their mind tricks." Naja greeted him with a hug and kiss. "See. Told you I'd be back within the hour." It was easy, but he did have new quantum powers. It was likely do to them that wiping out the ship was so easy. "And, it looks like my powers finally decided to stabilize. Two birds with one stone."

"You never fail. That's great. No more random explosions." She replied. "Come on. I made breakfast. You'll have to let me know how my cooking is. Bacon, eggs, and toast." The couple sat down next to eachother and Naja turned on the TV to watch the news. To Xander's surprise, Mad World and Travenois had decided to ratify the Superhuman registration act. "Well. Look at that. Looks like you actually managed to convince them. See? There are ways to convince people without Jack Bauering them." They both went back to eating. "Tell me the truth. did you really enjoy last night? I don't want to keep making you do things that you don't want to do."

"Naja. Last night was some of the best fun I've had in a long time. Thank you for making me do it." He replied. "Hey... When we're done, you wanna go on patrol? I mean just me and you?" He asked.

"Sure. That sounds great." She replied. "It's been awhile since I've actually gotten off my butt and done some actual superhero work, so I suppose it's time to actually do my job."

"I'll do my best to balance work and pleasure from now on. If any of our future nights are half as fun as that one was, it'll have been worth it." They finished eating and Naja put the dishes in the sink. Something they'd do later. They flew off into the sky and looked down to see another city not too far north of theirs. However, it had a massive smoke cloud above it. So, of course they flew down to see what all the hubbub was about. It looked like a fight was just wrapping up between what looked like the US military with an array of colorful superhumans. "What happened here?" He asked the man in charge.

"These Masaki idiots happened. Trespassing on our planet and building a city. Probably to plan an invasion. We went ahead and nipped it in the bud before they were ahead and hurt someone. Given their history, it's not surprising."

"I don't blame you. Glad you put a stop to them. I was planning to do the exact same thing. Saved me a whole five minutes. If that." He laughed with the Colonel and shook hands. "Take care, sir." Xander said and flew off with Naja. "Wow. This day is turning out to be a good day. Things are starting to finally look up. You don't mind those morons being killed do you?"

"What? Of course not. They were powerful enough to actually do damage... Maybe. And had maybe half a brain cell between them. The way I see it, good riddance." She replied. "You know what we should do... Go out and have a nice little sparring match. Just for fun. We should probably head out to somewhere nice and safe. Like Mars or something."

"I think that would be a great idea." Xander replied as he and Naja flew off into space towards the red planet.

Avatar Project Part 3

"How is the subject fairing?" The elder in charged asked. Xander was kept in a dream world of his own design. One where the universe was perfect according to him. "And is he going to be useful to our project?"

"He is doing quite well. His body repairs any and all damage we've caused at an incredible rate. We can have as much genetic material as we please. And his genome is only slightly altered. A few modifications to it and we will have our Avatars. His body is unique. It's capable of metabolizing the ambient energy around him as we as converting and storing it as quantum energy to an incredible level. All we must do is alter the code so that the avatars process our psionic energies rather than the quantum energy he uses. It will not be difficult. After we gather all the genetic material we need, his memory will be wiped and we will be more powerful than ever." The scientist explained. "Thankfully, the human genome is quite simple."

After about an hours worth of work, they had their first avatar body. A blend of Xander's and Elder DNA created a potent hybrid. The avatars would be superior to their normal bodies in every way. Virtually immortal, limitless psionic power, physically powerful. The Elders would live. They were finally saved after decades of searching for the perfect body. They did consider making themselves known to the Earth and pushing along their technological progress, but if Xander ever found out the truth, things would be destructive and they didn't want that.

Naja finished making breakfast and waited. When it came close to two hours after Xander had left she began to worry. If things went good, then he would have been home by now, or at least checked in with her. If the more likely scenario that things went awry, then she had to find a way to get to the ship to rescue him. Unfortunately, that required a portable psi dampener. Praetoria had a massive one designed to protect the entire country, but she didn't have the mechanical skills required to make it, but smaller. She would need another mother box, but Xander took the one they had and the only other person she knew that had one was Otis. The problem was that she would have to leave Praetoria and would immediately forget everything. Quite the predicament.
