"Fun kicking your ass?" Val said, a fist connecting with her face and throwing her off, her legs being swept from under her immediately after. At that point, training and instinct kicked it, her hands shooting out and grabbing onto Ashy's thin, skin-tight workout clothes to pull the girl down as Val fell - all happening in a split second, the Vokornian on top of Val, but Val delivering a kick to the abdomen as it all happening during the fall, rearing back, and delivering another kick to get the girl off of the dominant position. "You betcha."

Val jumped back up and made some distance between herself and Ashy, her eyes still narrow and watching every move, intent to not lose focus.

Mir was watching it all unfold, nodding after each successful combo or strike Ashy or Val would land, impressed at the feminine form and how much power it could produce. Perhaps it was his own upbringing that saw women as the weaker sex, but steadily, he was proven wrong in just this one bout. Though he had power and some skills on his side, Mir knew he was outclassed in technique and pure skill by both of the ladies as they fought, resolving to get better as well. "What was the point of training constantly if a skilled throw can put you firmly on your ass?" He wondered, his eyes trailing to Ashy as his mind subconsciously ogling her firm, toned body in the skimpy clothes.

"Hm. I didn't notice. You punch like a human." Ash joked. Ash once again felt pain, though she didn't let that stop her. She did seem to be hurt, though she wasn't tired. She could taste a little bit of blood from a previous punch to the face. She licked her lips, clearing the blood dripping from her nose. Then she attacked. She went for a right handed punch to the stomach, and then followed it up by moving to another side and unleashing a punishing kick. And then she hopped back, not wanting to stay for the brutal counter attack. In fact, she wanted to see if she could counter her next moves.

"Kidding aside. You fight well Valerie." She commented with a smile. "I should honestly thank you for challenging me. I had forgotten how fun it was to brawl like this..." She commented.

For once, Val seemed to be a bit offended at being called a human. However, she realized all too late that it broke her concentration. She doubled over just seconds before impact, but took the full force of the first strike on her stomach. Quaking as Ashy's strike landed, Val was launched to the side by the follow-up kick, sending her smashing against the cage as she grit her teeth and eyes to manage the pain effectively. Val tore her eyes open in preparation for more follow-ups, but found that Ashy had backed off. Needless to say, the Mad Goddess was just ever-so slightly pissed.

Val rushed into Ashy's personal space and striking zone quickly, dodging a blow and delivering one, which only managed to stumble Ashy. But the girl followed up with an upward knee, thrown in an attempt to hit Ashy's face or chest, but falling just short of either. However, the true purpose of that knee wasn't to make impact, but to get Val into a position to execute a beautiful harai goshi throw, or simply a sweeping hip throw. Val locked her arms behind Ashy's head and yanked, pushing Ashy's center of gravity onto herself, and them simply slammed the other girl on the mat, Val on top, and instinctively raining punches on Ashy's face.

She managed to get a few in before being thrown off by Ashy, who expertly turned and gave her back to Val to protect her face and did a push-up like motion - throwing Val off and stumbling onto the mat. She shot up quickly, breathing heavily, searing pain in her stomach and kidney region, but impressed at her opponent's skill. "Yeah..." She said in between a few breaths, holding her hands lazily, "You fight...pretty good." She finished, bracing for another assault by the Vokornian.

Cora
Time was such a strange thing. Regardless of what happened around it, what terrible life altering disasters occurred, time persisted on, unyielding, and uncaring of pervious events. It seemed unfair truly. How could time be so cold? How could people be expected to keep going when their world collapsed around them? Couldn't time just stop for an hour, a minute, a second?

These were the thoughts that ran through Cora's mind that morning. It had been two days since Jasmine had attacked the Justice Queen's Headquarters, two days since Eric died. Katie hadn't come out of her room since then, except to use the bathroom or other necessities. Cora didn't mind, she knew Katie needed time. Cora brought Katie her meals every day, and other than that tried to keep herself busy. She had been searching through police data and radio chatter to get any sign of Jasmine but she had seemed to completely disappear. Cora also went back to her lab and brought back the gravity chamber for her to train in. Nothing she could do however could get her past the fact that today was Eric's funeral.

Cora had woken up very early as she usually did. Being an Android she didn't need much sleep. She got dressed in her training gear and set the gravity chamber to 20 times the Earth's gravity and went to work. She trained for about two hours until she was drenched in sweat. She couldn't get thoughts of Eric's and the look on Katie's face off her mind. She had tried to be strong for Katie but it was hard. She charged angrily at one of the robotic opponents in the chamber and smash it hard to the ground. She smashed into it over and over again until it was nothing but scrap metal. Cora burst into tears and began sobbing in the chamber. About twenty minutes later she went back upstairs and showered, changing into a fresh outfit. She decided to make breakfast for Valancy, Roy and Katie, Naja and Kylie were still away in space and Cora hoped they were alright. Cora wondered if Katie would come out to eat with them, she hadn't in two days, but she'd have to come outside for Eric's funeral today. Cora knew that would be incredibly hard for her.

Etla could only giggle as she noticed Craig's reaction to her taunt slash compliment. Naturally she couldn't see it on his face, but the awkward pause and the lackluster retort he made afterwards told her more than enough, and she was very amused by the result. Still, she figured that it was not altogether too strange that a guy, even a smart and level-headed one like him, felt at least a bit flustered after receiving that comment from a cute girl such as herself. It made perfect sense in a way, yes, she was certain of that much. But a part of her was also very flattered that he, that Craig, got flustered like that for her. If she had to be honest with herself, she felt some admiration for him. He was very smart after all, that much she could tell even if she didn't fully understand the magnitude of what he did, and he was also one of the few humans she had come to appreciate. Perhaps the human she had come to appreciate the most, even. The thought made Etla feel strange, though also happy, in a way.

But she quickly dismissed it, knowing that even though it was a friendly match she couldn't afford to be distracted. The battle had begun, after all, and so, Etla readied herself, falling into one of the many battle positions that Kazayannú had taught her during her time in that barren world of ice, bending her knees ever so slightly so that her center of gravity was lower and bringing her fists in front of her face. Perhaps it bore some resemblance to some position used by the people of Earth, or perhaps not, but either way she did not know about it nor care.

What she did not expect, and she felt silly for not expecting it, was for Craig to open up the match with an energy blast. Pouting ever so slightly, Etla opened one of her fists, and from her alm burst forth a ray of light that collided with the blast, causing a miniature explosion to go off in the middle of the battlefield. Despite this, she could see the inventor perfectly well through the wall of smoke raised by the explosion, and noticed that he was rearing up his fist. She could easily compensate by positioning herself differently, and several methods of blocking or parrying popped into her mind, able to consider all these things thanks to the distance that separated them.

And in the end, she decided not to do anything.

She took the punch head-on, figuring that this would be a good way to gauge Craig's strength and her own durability while wearing these limiter bracelets. She didn't expect, however, to double over in pain as the fist collided with her stomach. She gasped reflexively, even though there was no air to be knocked out of her, for she possessed no lungs nor respiratory system like humans did, meaning that it was a reaction purely based on pain. At the same time, since there were no vital organs to be struck nor essential functions to disrupt, she was able to recover from it far more quickly than any human would have, and acted accordingly. In an instant, she turned her own body so that it would run parallel to the fist, and then slammed her open hand into his elbow. If the attack didn't break his arm, then at the very least it would cause him a lot of pain. So she hoped, anyway.

With that done, the blonde girl jumped back quickly, putting some distance between herself and Craig, not liking that he was quite so close. Well, actually, she really liked it, but she also thought of it as tactically disadvantageous for the moment.

"That blow hurt, I'll give you that." She stated. "You know, you're not nearly as vigorous outside. But I like this ferocity."

Then, snapping her fingers, she caused a loud flash of light to manifest above her in order to blind Craig. Then, she rushed in, charging him, but instead of attacking head-on like he did, she was planning to spin around him and strike at the back of his head with her elbow. She suspected that, since he wasn't wearing a helmet and he was only a human, the attack should do a number on him, maybe even put him out of commission, though she sincerely hoped that was not the case. The duel was very exciting, and it had only just begun, after all.

Nomally I wouldn't even try to fight people as strong as these two, but I feel unnaturally strong at this moment, and I should use that to my advantage. I suspect the type of energy that Photon is using is an important part of it. Who knows at this point.

Naja flinged Photon away whle constantly chatting like they're buddies of some sort, and I moved into chase after the body. It didn't move that fast, maybe not even at the speed of light (though close), so I caught up almist immediately and sticked out my right knee for the foe to stop by hittibg it. Almost immediately I charged a trememdous amount of energy in my left hand, then proceeded to blast Photon with it ina volley of close-up energy blasts.

Cora wondered if Katie would come out to eat with them, she hadn't in two days, but she'd have to come outside for Eric's funeral today. Cora knew that would be incredibly hard for her.

Katie awoke early, as she usaully did, though she really had little other desire than to wallow in despair. Often she would try and think about the events, replaying them in her mind. She tried to hold on to what she could of Eric, but it was hard to even think or reflect on memories without seeing his twisted neck and blank dead eyes. Or seeing the monster the shy, nice girl she and once known had become. Jazz was not always so bad. She was smart, funny and could be sweet when she wanted. Katie had a habit of dating introverts it seemed. She had the patience and the will to help them out of their shells. And to an extent, she ends up getting... attached.

But now she regretted even meeting the two of them. She had made both their lives miserable when she had wanted to make them happy. She still hated Jasmine to an extent, but more what she had become which was almost unrecognizable. And she felt like for all the good she tried to do she was actually screwing things up. She wanted to help people whenever possible however possible, but when things like this happen, one has to question whether they're doing any good at all... or spinning in an endless hamster wheel powered by their own mistakes, crushing the lives of those around them.

She walked out of her bedroom reluctantly. She knew she had Eric's funeral. She had to accept that she had to go. It would be... bad not to. She felt she needed to take this step. And she needed to think about the team too. She was either going to have to put on a brave face for them or set up her resignation... She was leaning towards the second. Katie wondered if she might be holding the team back or hurting it with her presence. Like she did Eric and Jasmine. She couldn't bare to see her friends in the JQ suffer because of her.

She came to breakfast, sitting down at the table and looking down at it with sadness. She suddenly felt the great emptyiness of loss at that moment. She looked over to a counter to see the three things she had picked up from Eric's room. She was tempted to cry, but had not done so since the incident. She would not let herself for some reason.

"Whats... for breakfast?" She asked first.

More blood. Gods this is both Haven and Abyss at the same time. She thought to herself, in pain, and it did effect her and bother her. But it just felt so good too. Though she started to think it might impair her fighting ability. That would not be good. "Only pretty good?" She replied. Then she got back up and recovered. "Well. I'll just have to actually try then." She replied cockily. She had been trying before of course, so her comment was half jest and half cocky bragging. With that, she suddenly charged her opponent. But then suddenly changed the angle of approach with a spin and was coming in from the side, unleashing a hail of attacks upon her opponent's arms and shoulder joints, mostly punches and jabs and the odd elbow. And then she suddenly sent in a sweeping kick to her opponents stomach, then a punch to the face.

She whirred back again, smiling then unleashing another attack. But it seemed that her opponent was rearing back to do the same. She noticed that they were both going to collide with one another fists too late...

And so the sheppard will learn the nature of her shell of flesh, taught pain once more by the Queen of madworld.

Sarah couldn't help smiling as she felt her little sister's massive, furry arms embraced her as well, feeling the mighty werewolf's warmth. The smile grew wider still as she felt her begin to shrink in her arms, feeling the fur fade until eventually, the thing she was embracing was no longer a fearsome werewolf, but a pretty little girl with wolf ears. The fact that she seemed weaker made Sarah worry, even though she knew that this kind of thing usually happened after Hanah used one of her transformations, and so, she tightened her embrace on her little sister, unwilling to let her fall or let her go, though the smile and the comment made her feel better, and so, finally, she let go, toying a bit with her little sister's ears.

"I'm glad you're okay." She said, before turning towards Samantha. She was right; the police was likely after them after their robbery of the First Bank of Starling City, and they had spent too much time there already. The best thing they could do for now was head elsewhere and lie low for a bit, maybe (though if there was anything the Grimms could not do it was lie low). She was just glad that Sam remembered to take the money. She'd forgotten about it during the fight with the wizard and while making sure that Hanah was okay.

Getting into the back seat of the van along with Hanah, she spoke. "So were are we going, Sam?" She asked her younger sister curiously, leaning back on the seat and stretching her arms a bit. "Somewhere with cute boys I hope." She added with a smile.

Her sister seemed to almost purr lightly as her ears were played with, her cat form side coming out whenever that happened. Had anyone else done that, they would have either earned a punch in the face, or she would have simply bitten their hands with her sharp canines lightly. Not enough to draw blood, but enough that they knew it was off limits. However her sisters were special, and therefore the only ones allowed to touch her ears.

What Sam and Sarah were saying when they got into the Van Hanah kinda half listened to, until they said Gotham. Her ears perked up. "Gotham!" She asked. "With, Batman! Robin! Batgirl! All the famous big name superheoes! Yes! I have some autographs to collect!" She had not considered that Batman was no longer in Gotham, and that superheroes might not be willing to give autographs. Especially not if she chased them down in Panther form first.

There it was again. An unbelievably powerful Saiyan was far away from him, battling with another no doubt on a distant planet. Even as he lay there, he could see the warrior in his minds eye. A golden god wreathed in flame, with golden locks stretching down his back. Something about the power was soothing, yet terrifying in the same moment. He could feel the exact same power within himself, yet he couldn't reach it. But as he lay dying in Claudia's arms, a shiver ran over him, this was a power he would acheive.

Coughing, the scenery finally changed to a familiar site, a old Japanese style building, with a white cat working quietly within.

"K-Korin.. Sensu.." His voice echoed, the cat yelping as he rushed towards him, a small green bean between his fingers.

Claudia slowly lowered the Saiyan onto the ground. Then she took the bean from the cats hand and sat down next to him. "Thank you." She spoke to Korin, a sincere look on the hulks face. She inhaled, then fed Hiroshi the bean. "Alright. You're going to eat this. Then were going to go rend the flesh from that freak and use his intestines as a noose. Then... Garnet chuckled upon hearing the kitsune's comments. Really, she should have guessed that Masami hadn't always been like that. After all, wasn't that the case with her? She hadn't always been a woman who hunted monsters with cursed weapons, after all. She hadn't always had the achievement of shooting alien demons or beating giant gargoyles silly. So, she supposed she shouldn't have been so hasty to judge Masami.

Shrugging off that train of thought, she listened to what the kitsune said about the inn. Frowning slightly, Garnet nodded at the fox lady as she helped her up onto the back of the Phantom Horse. With that done, she stared straight ahead, pausing for a moment.

"Alright then. What are we waiting for?" She asked. Shadow, apparently, saw it fit to respond to this question with a derisive snort, but the blonde rider ignored it and spoke again. "To the inn it is. Let's go." She said. Immediately, Shadow took off, and the three of them went on a journey through dimensions once again, soon reaching the inn.

Masami nodded. She soon hopped off. "Honestly, I'm a bit disapointed. Turns out that bat was not nearly enough to push me onto another tail..." She commented as she looked behind her. She tucked the two tails back in for the sake of energy. She was sweating a little. She would soon recover her stamina if she gave them a break. She inhaled, enjoying the smell of fresh air and... she suddenly sniffed a bit. Then a frown came onto her face. "Well. That's definitely Yokai. Though is it good or bad..." She asked. Often it was not good to polarize things, but to a Kitsune there was little else. As soon as one walked the path of corruption and selfishness, they tended to get lost in it. For the good of all, Masami made sure no one paid for a Yokai's corruption other than the Yokai itself.
She looked around, something wasn’t right. It made the Kitsune frown. “Hmm…” There didn’t seem to be any people in the streets. The town was dead quiet. Silent and void of even heartbeats. But she could still hear footsteps…
Footsteps without heartbeats…
“It’s a trap!” Shouted Masami. Pulling out her Katana and igniting it with foxfire. Suddenly, surrounding them, were warriors. Their armour visable, yet seemingly there were wide gaps in the armour filled with black flame like energy. Instead of heads in their helmets they had ethereal faces, frozen in expressions of rage or horror. The black energy seemed to radiate off them, and made for imposing foes. “Goryō” Muttered Masami. “The ghosts of dead warriors who died horrific deaths. They should not be underestimated.” She said to her foe. “But so many… in a peaceful village… Why do they attack us?”

Charmera wrote:---

Still accelerating the perception of time for himself and his extraterrestrial ally, Gilbert was quite relieved when she nodded and then approached, still keeping up her onslaught on the black beast before him. It seemed that she was willing to do what it took to stop this Asra, and it seemed that she was also willing to let him help, though for now, the best he could do was accelerate her senses and help protect her from the creature's flames, since it was more than evident that even hitting him with one hundred times his own strength had done absolutely nothing to the invader. So for now, he decided to simply help the Rantu and let her take the lead. His reserves would keep him going for a while anyway.

The woman's questions, however, took him by surprise.

"I..." He mumbled, pausing for a moment before sighing. "Well, alright. I can cheat death, sort of. It's why I survived that hit he gave me. My mind can outlast my body, and then I can rewind my own death. That's why I'm not afraid to die." He explained. "Now, if you ask why I'm fighting, that's a different matter. I... feel like it's my duty. Some things have happened that make me question myself often, but even despite that I know that if I don't do something, millions could die. Should they die if I can do something about it? I think not." He stated. "That's why I tried to fight him, even though I hardly even dented his armor, and it's also why I'm hoping you can kill him before he causes any more damage."

Meanwhile, Asra felt the drones pelting him with plasma blasts. They further shredded his armor, leaving him nearly completely exposed, parts of the chestplate and half of his helmet being destroyed by the attacks, along with his black boots and gauntlets. His red hair flowed out of the gap in his helmet, and from behind the half-cracked red visor, one could see the bright green gaze of a Rainborn. The cloth and skin on some parts of his body had burned away, exposing more of the black material underneath. Eventually, the Ashbringer grew bored of this, and decided to annihilate the drones. There was a beat of his flameborn wings, and suddenly, a spherical wave of Absolute Fire manifested, with him at its center. The sphere expanded constantly, incinerating everything it touched, leaving not even ash behind as it devoured everything, until finally, it engulfed the drones as well, at which point it ceased expanding, disappearing.

However, then came the sniper's assault. Asra actually sustained damage from that, including one of his hands being blown off. He did not seem to react to this, but suddenly, his every injury was enveloped in dark, corrupted fire, and he let out a bloodcurdling scream. Suddenly, his injuries seemed to disappear, and shortly after the fire dissipated.

"And here I thought I was the only one who could cheat." Gilbert thought to himself. "He's... he's burning away time. He destroys the event that caused him damage, and the consequences disappear. I had never met someone who could do that." He said to Aru. That was only a half-truth, of course, as that which the Time Demon did to rewind time as a bit similar in practice, even if it was not so similar in principle.

"It's going to be difficult to put him down if he keeps that up. We need to find his weak point."

'Duty. That is a good enough reason. And I'm guessing that death still brings you pain? And the darkness of the Nether World can't be very comforting." Aru spoke. "Or wherever you humans go when you die... So it's not like this is easy for you." She then paused.

"But...we'll get though this." She spoke, then observed him healing. She narrowed her eyes.

Aru frowned. She sighed as she put away her weapon. “Bothersome.” She muttered. Even though her foe was clearly resisting her attacks, Aru seemed not the least bit fazed. Though it was, like what Gilbert had said, a half truth. She was confident, perhaps to the point of arrogance, but she still didn’t like her opponents durability. He should be very much dead by now. She swapped out her weapon for the Bubble gun. She thought back to the taychon arrow. Though that thing was still untested. It could render the light cannon completely obsolete… if it didn’t have the chance of blowing up in her face. “I have a weapon that might be able to deal with time reversal. But it’s very unstable. I could end up cracking this planet if I miss, or even if I end up killing him and the bullet goes through. It might just work if we find a weak point. “ She remarked.

“We should see if normal weapons work on this… “Weak point” first. And see if we can find it before that.” She paused. “I’ll keep him occupied. Do you have any way to find his weakness while I do so?” As she spoke, she sprayed the area with bubbles. They were all traveling very fast and bumping into one another. It would be hard to avoid them. He could simply use his fire… but it would distract him and keep him busy.

Even as he felt Claudia shift upwards and bound once more, he could only bring himself to think about how frail he was. Earlier today he was one of the strongest warriors in the universe, but now he was a broken shell waiting for someone to heal him, after he'd failed to avenge his daughter. He, Hiroshi Mako, the first to achieve the level pf Ascended Saiyan, of Saiyan powe-

Then... I don't know what happens then. But we're going to get through it while dancing on his burning fucking corpse." She spoke with such rage and hatred. "We will smash him until he's no more."

Hiroshi:

For the first time in as long as he could remember, Hiroshi knew what he was going to do.

" I need clothes." He spoke, Korin rushing to retrieve a black and dark green dogi. Pulling the shirt over his head, Hiroshi sighed, clenching his fist over and over again as blood pumped trough his body, his muscles vibrating with the strength passing through them. Turning to the cat, Hiroshi stuttered for a second.

" I... Thanks." He finally managed. Turning, the Hybrid strode to the edge of the tall tower.

" He;s still down there," He muttered " He won't be stopped by anyone down there."

The cat raised an eyebrow as he waddled over to the Saiyan. " Few beings I know possess the strength to outright defeat him, and he grows even stronger every minute. Ascended Saiyan just isn't enough Hiroshi, there has to be another way to stop him.

Korin:

He half expected an annoyed look from the boy, an outraged cry at his jab at Ascended Saiyan, but none came. Instead, the Hybrid stared unbendingly out over the earth around them, yet sadness and fury were mixed up in his eyes.

" Perhaps we could u-" Korin began to speak, before the air filled with static.

Energy swirled around them, golden fire sweeping across the small room, brimming from the cracks between tiles. With a sharp increase in wind, Hiroshi's hair shifted gold, force blasting in all directions, extinguishing the fire around them, swirls of dust and energy crrying anything not stationary away. As unexpected as it was, Korin was forced to plant his feet to stop from being blown away.

Staring with shocked eyes into his eyes, Korin saw only impassive seriousness, the same look he'd seen on his face when he'd come to heal so he could fight Garlic.

Before he could shout profanities at the Saiyan, electricity brimmed around Hiroshi, his power skyrocketing far beyond what it was earlier. his muscles bulging violently before tightening inwards against his frame. Wave after wave of force washed off Hiroshi, clouds surrounding the building rippled with energy, finally bursting with lightening, set off by the Hybrid.

Suddenly, it dawned on Korin. Hiroshi's almost constant battles and injuries had done more to improve his power and skill then he could have ever hoped. Even when he'd brought the bean, he'd assumed the boy would be dead before he returned, especially considering the shape he was in. He was as strong as he'd felt him when he'd unleashed his full power against Garlic, the blow that had collapsed the Dead Zone. The only one who had harmed the Giant besides Claudia, was Hiroshi. But this power wasn't hidden or reserve.

Stepping forward, Hiroshi stepped to the edge of the building.

"No. Claudia, stay here with Korin until I come back, your not strong enough."

Daniel Carter/NightBlade-38 Years-Joker's Fun House, Gotham City

The things that go on in this girl's mind. Staring a poisonous toxin in the face and she cannot let go of the Princess Peach comment. I mentally sighed, although Mia has a very...unique...perspective on things, she can handle herself well enough. Proving that in this last fight. I reattached my weapons to the harness on my suit, as I stood straight and directed her into the Factory, as we were walking in the front door, I briefly turned around, to give a second look at the dead men decorating the parking lot entrance. There still bodies growing cold in the Gotham Night, most of them murdered not by our hands, but by the Joker himself. Joker has no regard for lives, even for ones which follow him. Me and Mia both descended into the factory, and at the entrance was a hallway where we were passing by several office spaces. Most of the doors were painted with random splashes of paint, and sometimes the walls, were decorated with a shade of red...that was not artificial paint.

But just like the approach to the factory, it was far too quiet. I dont like it. I know there had to be more to his gangsters than the few posted at the entrance. That being said, it is possible that they were killed by the Joker, or someone else already. I stepped around a overturned office chair, as I ignored my image being reflected in a dull window. Had I been paying attention, a deep part of me would not have recognized the man anyways.

We had finally entered a factory floor, where equipment and boxes and piles of broken toys were scattered everywhere. The disuse in this place, was very real. As the evidence was everywhere. Mia had grown impatient with the search, and was about to suggest we move on to another level.

“Sent – I mean Nightblade – we haven’t seen a single Clown since the entrance, are you sure that we’re going in the right direction? Maybe we should be trying on another floo –“

Just then, the factory exploded as the speakers and intercoms ignited with a piercing and very high pitched scream. The voice, was obviously a woman, and it was even more clear which woman.

Ceecee was in trouble.

I was about to calm Mia, but I never had the chance, she burst ahead of me, sprinting all out. Calling after her, my futile attempt at reigning her in was...well...futile.

But she did not make it very far. Up ahead, she had fallen through the weakened floor, and tumbled down to the basement level. Now, we are all separated. Just as I set a foot forward to go and collect Mia, the lights in the factory all turned on in a rather violent flash, but my own cowl protected me from the sensation of being blinded.

Taking a new look at the factory room, I could see that it had been converted, into what looked to be a manufacturing plant for the Joker's Laughing Venom. It's the same old performance, honestly, I am surprised. Normally the Joker is far less predictable than this. And then, as if in defiance of my judgment for his show's performance. The Joker had several spot lights appear over him, as he revealed himself on the catwalk above me.

"Ta-da!" Joker exclaimed. Doing a stage pose as I peered up at him. His green hair shining in the light, scars upon the sides of his mouth and cheeks in the shape of a smile. Purple suit pristine and clean and pressed. the Clown Prince then gleefully pranced over to some cables, and cut them with a swift swipe of a knife.

I had braced myself for some sort of an attack, clutching my blade between my gloved fingers as I scanned my surroundings, however, what I had witnessed was a far more terrifying sight than a simple attack. From the rafters of the factory, a torn and ragged cape and cowl soared. The cape billowing behind it as the cable lurched it toward me, with the Joker, actually appearing rather...regretful. Of course, it was likely a staged face.

But perhaps he was, as the cape and cowl lurched forward...I recognized what it was, even with it's torn and bloody appearance.

The cowl and cape...belonged to the Batman.

I snatched the cable in which the gruesome display hung, and delicately cut the rope. As Joker did his own version of the 21 gun solute...or so I believed.

Sticking his pistol out into the air, he gave a sloppy solute as he issued a brief speech for the fallen Dark Knight.

"Oh, how the memories we created shall be dear to old Uncle Joker. The man never knew a good joke if it bit him in the cape. I did all I could for him before the Batsie passed...I sent him off with a smile!" I then heard the loud crack of a gun, and as my eyes flashed up, I could see that the pistol he wielded and was now twirling had a 'Bang' flag hinging from it.

The Batman's mask held in my hand, I could see where the Joker, had used blood to mark a smiling face on the cowl. I gently set the mask on the ground, as I looked up, once more at the Joker, elevated on his catwalk. I did not say anything, rather I simply loaded my machine gun.

Joker, responded himself, bringing the joke pistol down to aim with me. And with a second pull of his trigger, the joke flag shot forth like a spear, beginning our battle.

Cora
Cora was still alone in the kitchen when Katie came out. She had expected her, but Cora was still surprised. She was even more surprised When she spoke up. It had been the first time since that night that she did so. "Pancakes, we've got blueberries or chocolate chips if you want." Cora told her friend as she cooked, the smell of pancakes filling the air. Katie looked so terribly sad, Cora almost wanted to cry again but she knew she had to stay strong and positive. Katie had always done that for her, and it was Cora's job to return the favor.

Meanwhile below, Roy hadn't woken up yet himself. His head had hurt for almost a day after Katie had absorbed the light into the building. He had later heard that Katie's boyfriend had died that night, he felt terrible for her, even though he didn't know her very long. He planned on going to the funeral with Valancy to pay his respects.

Samantha Grimm
Samantha couldn't help but smile at her sister's words. She was glad that Hannah still had a childish side to her. It was very refreshing. Hannah seemed to keep them in line, even if not on purpose. But because Sarah and Samantha were so concerned with raising her and keeping her safe, they were a lot less reckless than could have been. "Well, maybe we'll see some of them Hannah, but hopefully they won't find out about all the money in the back." She smiled as she drove on.

About fours hours had passed of Samantha driving. She wasn't sure if her sisters were awake in the back, but guessed that they weren't. They were an hour away from Gotham, but Sam was starving and needed to eat, and rest. The sun was near setting when they pulled into to a dinner parking lot. Once Sam had parked the car she turned back and spoke to her sisters, "Sarah, Hannah, come on, we're getting something to eat. I'm starving." She said before stepping out of the chair.

"A couple grunts at the Gardens, that's it. They're talking about getting revenge on Ivy, which means they're not hers. I'm heading down to the Arkham ruins now."
"Ace Chemicals is empty. I found another Zsasz kill, but it's long cold. En route to the GCPD."
"Iceberg Lounge is filled to the brim with goons- Two-Face and Vannis. Seems it's where they meet. I'm going to keep an eye on it."
"Steel Mill is active, but all the entrances are blocked off. Don't see any goons, though. En route to the Courthouse."
"Funhouse power is on, but I don't see any- Oh my God... I've got dead Clown goons at the Funhouse. I.. I think Joker is here, and one of the Masks is after him. I'm staying here and keeping my gun trained on the entrance. If the damn Clown escapes, I'm taking the shot."
"Confirmed."

"This is the Commissioner. I've dispatched another Runner to the Monarch Theatre, seems Clayface makes a habit of visiting. Next person free, head to Maximilian Zeus' Casino, word on the street is he might be active again. Funhouse Runner, I've dispatched a three man team to meet you there. They're bringing you Kevlar and a bigger gun- You can never be too careful with the Clown. Careful about the Mask- You never know which side they're on until it's too late."

John Morgan
The Flame Guard had waited for night fall upon Gotham to begin his patrol. He put his armor suit on and headed off on the roof tops of the city. He had absorbed energy from the sun earlier that he would use in his fight now. He continued to search for a viable target until he found a warehouse near the docks, that seemed to be storing large amounts of weapons caches. He gave a small smile, he didn't know who owned the warehouse, but they wouldn't for long.

The Flame Guard dropped through the roof, surprising the armed guards and thugs in the warehouse. They began firing at him with assault rifles but the bullets seemed to bounce off of his armor. He fired back with his own guns, but these ones fired non lethal rubber bullets. He knocked down a large number of them, some fleeing when they realized they couldn't penetrate his armor with bullets. However one attempted to throw a grenade to stop him. The grenade landed a few inches from him and exploded uninterrupted. "Take that you bastard!" The thug shouted, thinking he had killed him. However the explosion suddenly disappeared, The flame guard had absorbed it.

"Thanks for the snack." Morgan said with a cocky smile, breaking the man's arm with ease and knocking him unconcious. Morgan unleashed a wave of heat towards the weapons cache, that would render the guns unuseable. He wondered what to do with the thugs now however, since the police were no longer operating here.

Hazzel
Soon Hazzel felt Broly approaching. He knew he had to give Claudia and Hiroshi some time, so he stood his ground to fight. This monster had killed a little, Hazzel couldn't just let him get away with that. Anger started to boil in his chest, and he felt himself begin to transform into a monster himself. He was now a huge fury hulk like monster and shouted in rage. In this form Hazzel operated on primal instinct and didn't think rationally anymore. He gave a loud shout, and charged toward the direction of Broly, much stronger than the last time he had tried to fight him.

"What the hell?!" The Commissioner yelled at his men. "What the hell is going on?"
"Explosions here at the docks! Reclaimer is en route with a small patrol!"
"When did Reclaimer get out?"
"I... I don't know, Sir."

"GCD, put your hands in the air!" Retlyer yelled as he broke through the door of the warehouse. He and his small patrol of three men aimed their guns at the men in the warehouse, only to find just one standing- "Put your hands up, Mask." Retyler growled.

Then flashed a savage smile. "Now, do you understand, or do I have to bash it into your skull?" She spoke, drawing their faces closer, so their lips were almost touching.

" But this isn't your fight anymore. I failed Tomia, and as her Father I will avenge her. She was a little girl Claudia, she didn't deserve this, she didn't deserve the life she was given. If I get in trouble... You'll know. But until I am beaten and can't take him on my own, I want you to trust that I'll take care of myself okay?" He said softly, giving a soft smile as he inched his head forward, their lips meeting softly as he grinned. Looping his arms around her, Hiroshi gave into happiness for a moment.

"GCD, put your hands in the air!" Retlyer yelled as he broke through the door of the warehouse. He and his small patrol of three men aimed their guns at the men in the warehouse, only to find just one standing- "Put your hands up, Mask." Retyler growled.

Morgan had just finished tying up the criminals when suddenly someone busted through the door. The men called themselves the "GCD" and by their looks seemed to be some kind of militant neighborhood watch. The Flame Guard was not used to be being pursued by police, but then again these people didn't seem to be the police. He didn't have enough energy remaining to melt their guns, but he had enough layer his suit with a small forcefield. Bullets wouldn't be able to harm it anyway, but he didn't want it to get too damaged, doing repairs was annoying. "Look, I'm here to help. Seems like we're on the same side. Besides, you're guns won't hurt me anyway. So I'm just gonna go now." He told them, hopping up onto one of the weapons crate, then pulling himself onto the roof to leave. He needed to find whatever superhero might be patrolling this city at the moment, he knew the batman was gone, but didn't he have sidekicks?

"Dammit... Call the Commissioner, have him prep the Storage Unit." Retlyer sighed, lowering his gun. "We've got a lot of goons to put away, it looks like."
The Storage Unit was a "prison" of sorts, located to the right of the GCD headquarters. Using large Shipping Containers as prison cells, the GCD could imprison a large number of criminals. However, unless they found a way to ship the prisoners to Blackgate soon, food and other basic rights might become a problem.
"The new Mask seems to be good. At the very least, he doesn't work for Two-Face or Vannis." Retlyer mused. Then, he frowned. "Get a rundown of everything in the weapons stache. Have the Commissioner set up the warehouse to the left of HQ as the Armory. We have Kevlar, military grade weapons, even grenades. This could turn the tide against the gangs."
His men nodded. "You collecting the prisoners, then?"
"Yeah. I'll have them at the Storage Unit before any wake up. Near as I can tell, the Mask didn't kill any of them."

Salis smirked as Jenny blocked the bullet. He had anticipated that she might do this and wasn't phased. He had beaten her once, he could do it again. "You looking to get your ass handed to you again?" he said, "They already gave me the information I wanted, and I don't give a damn about any recording. I'm already wanted by Interpol and I don't officially exist. Salis is just the name I have myself as a kid. My parents left me on the streets as a baby so finding my actual identity is almost impossible. Now grab your daddy and run before I change my mind about sparing him."

Salis then fired another shot, this time at the Penguin between Jenny's legs. It was a fiegnt though. Salis knew she would easily block the shot, so he created a portal in the bullet's path. Suddenly Freeze reeled forward, falling down to reveal a bullet hole in the back of his head.

"Consider this a warning," said Salis as he holstered his gun, "If I see any of you three trying to take advantage of the power vacuum left by Vannis, you know what will happen." His work done, Salis turned and left the cave through a portal. Appearing on the docks above, he took in the city again. It was time to give Two-Face a visit. His work was almost done.

Asumar smiled "Thank you for those words Kilian, for I am still trying to find myself again, to find my true purpose, I've been meditating on this for a very long time, ever since I gave up the power of the Speed Force, I've been trying to see into the future, to find out if my power will be enough to keep my friends, my son, and my brother alive, but the Future has never been so uncertain for me and me alone..." Asumar let out a tired sigh "I know that I should be concerned with such a fact, but I feel as if knowing about my future is better than knowing about it, perhaps it is best to do what I do best..." Asumar's near-godly aura began to revolve around him "To protect the Dynasty, my son, my adoptive father, my real father, my brother, to protect everyone I love with all of my power, and more."

Asumar turned back to Kilian, a small smile on his face "Thank you Kilian, it was nice talking to you, without fighting against one another." Asumar snickered at his own words "I hope the best for you, many people will be surprised by your disappearance, some of them will be shocked, but I will help you son and your mother whenever they need it, I'll protect them, you have my word on that Kilian."

"So what do we do now?" Jenny asked.

"We could give the GCPD a tip that Salis is going to attack there tonight?" suggested Jenny.

"They won't do a thing," Penguin replied.

"Riddle me this, what do you do when the GCPD is corrupt, and ruffians are running all over Gotham?" asked the Riddler.

"What is it, Dad?" asked Jenny.

"Call the Batman," suggested Penguin.

"How? Hack their system?" asked Jenny.

"Or we create a Batsignal to tip them off," suggested the Riddler, "Batman might be gone but his sidekicks are not."

Later, atop one of the Skyscrapers, Jenny flickered on a light. Deep into the night sky, the image of the Bat appeared. "I hope this works," she muttered.

"Uh... Sir... Someone just turned on the Bat-signal." The Runner headed to the GCPD reported.
The Commissioner paused for a moment. "Follow it, try and spy on the meeting. If the new Bat comes, I want intel on them and whoever called them. If they don't, obviously just whoever called them. Can you handle that?"
"Yes, Sir. I'm on my way now."

"They're all damn melted. Every single gun." Retlyer sighed. "Alright, men- The prisoners are all in the Storage Unit, I want all of the Kevlar and grenades in the Armory ASAP. I'm heading back to HQ."

John Morgan
Flame Guard ran across the rooftops of the harbor as he thought about how to get in contact with whoever was patrolling this place. Suddenly he saw a bright light shining in the sky that was in the image of a bat. He smiled to himself, whoever had taken Batman's place was being summoned. The Flame Guard would go to it and wait for them to arrive, to see who they were and if it was worth helping them or not. He climbed across the buildings until he saw the source of the signal. He sat on a near by rooftop and waited for someone to show up.

Elena's eyes flicked up, seeing the Bat-Signal. It could be a trap, or someone genuinely wanted to find a Bat. Right now, she needed allies, so she really didn't have a choice. Launching herself into the air, as she approached the Bat-Signal, she turned herself invisible. Lurking in the shadows still, she said gruffly, "You called. What would cause the Penguin and the RIddler to call for a Bat. You've attracted whoever knows how many parties, so start talking. Quickly."

The GCD Runner finally reached the Skyscraper. As he walked in, the front desk manager stormed out grumbling beside him. "...signal is going to get me fired and who knows who will come.."
With a frown, the GCD Runner hit the "up" button on the Elevator, whistling and watching the door for any other new arrivals.
