"If you need backup, just shout my name. Be there in a flash." She said turning her attention to the soldiers that were accompanying him. "Normally, I don't do a lot of killing, but you guys are mostly cybernetic. So I really don't have any qualms about that." She said smashing through the phalanx soldiers. "I never get to fight this many guys. It's usually just one really strong one. Hopefully Grail won't show up again. Now would be an annoying time."

Killian

"Good-bye you two. I promise, I'll always remember you. Thank you for everything. All the fun we've had together. It was great. Too bad we... Had that argument. I wish I could make it go away." He said and he and his wife kissed one last time. He gave Talak a hug. "You're the man now, Talak. Take good care of your mother."

"I don't want you to go..." He said with tears streaming down his face.

"I don't want to go either." Killian replied wiping his face. "But I have to. That's what heroes do Talak. They do the things no one else wants to. Sacrifice. They don't have to have powers to do it. Anyone can be a hero. And I know you'll be a great one. It's time for me to go. Good-bye. It's been so much fun." And with one last family hug that lasted for almost 30 seconds. Killian flew into the sky and in a bright blue explosion, ascended to a higher plan of existence. He became omnipresent across the multiverse. All seeing. But he made sure that he would always be focused on his family. He was watching everything happen. Frostbite talking to his son, his family mourning him, and everything in between and beyond.

This is where I belong.

As the beams made their way towards Frost, the Arcosian simply stood stagnant, shutting his eyes. As they opened, the normal pure red color had become black as space, with white squares where pupils would be. The blasts suddenly stopped where they were, reversing and striking six of the reformists standing behind Arctico in the chest. As Frost's eyes returned to normal, his countenance remained confident and prideful, "You see Arctico, this is the true power of the Cold Clan. When you needed a push, I gave it to you, did I not? You needed something to reach for, and I gave you a goal of trying to surpass me. Besides, if I truly wanted to kill you on Earth, I would have done it. Just like if I wanted to kill you now, it would already be done.", he said, as he began smiling, "And look how powerful you've become. Not only have you become strong, you have become a God."

"And, I can make you even stronger. I can teach you how to use the power you've been granted by birth into the Cold Clan.", Frost continued, with a hint of caring in his voice, "Without this strength, you can never hope to match me. But, once you have it, you'll understand my perspective. Through the Power Cosmic I have seen many things you couldn't even begin to fathom. I've seen planets that stagnate and remain peaceful die, while those who take the offensive and expand prosper. Our people will suffer if the Planet Trade Organization falls, and so will many of the warrior races who depend on us for guidance. Without us there, they will run rampant, doing the only thing they know how to do. Destroy. But, even in shambles, the PTO keeps a relative grip on the actions of such species, making sure they don't get out of hand, and limit their destruction."

Samantha Grimm
Finally that creepy wizard was dead, at least for now. The police would no doubt be arriving soon so they had to move quickly. She turned to see Sarah hugging Hannah in concern. Sam thought it was sweet, but Sarah was always worrying about them excessively but right now they didn't have time for that. "Come on, we have to move. Get in the van, I'll drive first. We're leaving the city tonight." She told them, using her darkness claw spell to lift the large amount of money into the van before climbing into the front seat starting the engine and waiting for her sisters to get in.

Arctico came crashing to a halt, standing only a mere few feet from his father, he was seething, but something within his body had forced him to stop attacking Frost "It was not the objective of this Civil War to destroy the Planet Trade Organization, but to reform it into something far more greater..." Water stared to well up in Arctico's eyes as the memories of the brutality caused by Frieza's Elite Guard returned to him, the sheer terror in the eyes of those who were forced from their homes, the innocent people who were slaughtered without any mercy, the soldiers of Frieza's Army who made a living out of making other people wallow in despair, how could Frost talk about the other races to go on a rampage while the PTO had done such things long ago? "The Planet Trade Organization must not remain as it was, I've seen the brutality caused by our men, innocent people were slaughtered, men, women, and children were slaughtered all alike, with no one trading even a glance to those people who were dislocated from their homes, their planet being sold off..."Arctico brought his head down as he wiped the tears away before they could even fall "No one did anything for those people, even the species that were helpless against us when we invaded their planet, you talk of bringing order, but in the aftermath of such a thing, there is only discontent and anger generated towards OUR species for such things."

Arctico managed to calm his emotions down, looking back up to Frost "You are right that there needs to be a certain amount of order on such worlds, but if we oppress the people even further than we have before, the discontent will grow to such a level that all planets will come to arms and deal a massive blow against our people. I only desire to change the policies and leadership of the Planet Trade Organization and make it both a Peacekeeping Force, to help the people rebuild their homeworld, and I also desire to maintain it's position as an intergalactic trading conglomerate so that we can rebuild the worlds that have been decimated by our campaigns and have them work alongside us to maintain the great power and influence of the Planet Trade Organization as well as improve the image of our organization, so that we may continue expanding without our people being hated and feared, but being admired and loved." Arctico explained, trying to make a case out of why the PTO and the Government of Arcos had to be reformed once more.

Arctico did listen to the explanation as to why Frost did such things to scar him, it was because Frost, his father desired to awaken Arctico's true potential and true power (Although it was only due to his cunning that Arctico managed to absorb both Kazuko's and Asumar's energy from the Big Gete Star's Central Battery), at this explanation, a small smile appeared on Arctico's face, feeling somewhat relieved by what his father said "I understand now, even though we are the strongest of our species, in order for people such as myself to unlock such raw power, we need access to the sufficient amount of energy and willpower that lies within our hearts." Arctico began to slightly power himself down as he continued talking "On the day that I faced off against Meta-Cooler on New Namek, the two Masaki Brothers, who I discovered to be Demi-Gods had access to such power that was needed for my to achieve my Ultimate Evolution state, but instead of fighting them for their energy, I allowed Meta-Cooler to absorb only mere fragments of their great energy so that I could move into the Big Gete Star under the assumption that I would kill the Meta-Cooler Core, but in the resulting aftermath of absorbing the Masaki's Energy, I acchieved a new level of power, one of which you call, Godhood."

Arctico stared at his father for what seemed to be the longest time, the smile growing on Arctico's face "I must thank you though Father, for if I hadn't grown up assuming my real father was dead, perhaps we wouldn't be standing here facing off against one another, maybe I would have been as weak as I was before and thus Insignificant to any events out in the Universe. I have learned a great deal of things during my time on Earth, on Battleworld, on all the planets I've visited, they've given me knowledge beyond my wildest dreams, and power that I could only dream of gaining. It is for that alone, do I thank you for subtly leading me onto this path, even if we are to face off against each other on this day, know that today, do I acknowledge you as my one and only father." Arctico replied, smiling happily as he still maintained his ground, ready to face off against his father for the fate of the entire campaign, Arctico still had a job to do and it was to reform both the Arcosian Government, and the policies of the Planet Trade Organization, and even if he was to fight his father to acchieve such an objective, Arctico would still do what was right, regardless of who stood in the way.

The joint attacks wrought havoc on the wizard's frail body. Samantha's winter storm froze his body and Hanah's relentless assault reduced him to a bloody mess of a popsicle. The ennemy that Sarah feared so much was all but defeated. And even then he refused to die, his face still obscured by that absurd hat of his, the two yellow pits of chaos that were his eyes still very much alive despite his grievous wounds.

"Children-"

Suddenly, a spike of shadows shot up form the ground, impaling the wizard's head.

For now, at least, he was gone for good.

But then the wind carried strange words to the sisters.

"Consider this a mere chance encounter, children. The next time we meet, you will find very dreadful, I'm sure. Look forward to it!"

And with that, the wizard's mangled, lifeless body faded into nothing but dust, scattering in the wind. Seeing this happen, and understanding that they were no longer in immediate danger, Sarah dismissed the shadow pike with which she had impaled the wizard, and rushed off towards Hanah, throwing her slender arms around her little sister's hulking werewolf form, pulling her into what could only be described as a very awkward hug. Sarah's eyes were watery on the sides, due to equal parts fear and relief. "Are you alright, sis?" The eldest Grimm sister asked softly. She knew that Hanah was the strongest, that she could definitely take on much more than she ever could, but even then, she could not help but be worried about her, against all logic. She loved her sisters dearly, after all. They were everything she had, everything she'd had, ever since she could remember.

Such was her concern, that she completely forgot about the sack of money, lying not far from where the three stood.

The hulking wolf was growling angrily at where the dust what until suddenly she felt the embrace of her sister. Then she suddenly stopped. Hannah made a short whimper, then drew her own sister into a hug. "I'm-" She spoke, inhaling, then exhaling. He size went first, shrinking rapidly. Soon she was shorter than her sister and no longer had any fur, apart from around her soft and plush wolf ears. She nearly collapsed from the drain of transformation, now visably and obviously weakened. Though she held her sisters embrace. "I'm fine Sarah. Really." She smiled, a canine cutely poking out as she weakly grinned. She turned to Sam while still in her embrace.

"Sure thing." She was glad Sam had thought of the money. She was quite distracted with her sister. She didn't like to see her older sister cry. She depended on her, and Sarah worried and cared for them so much. Taught Hanah everything she knew. Even though she was jealous, she loved Sarah and Sam so much. She took Sarah's hand and led her to the van.

This time Garnet definitely laughed. "You know, of all the things I expected from an attractive and refined fox lady who hunts evil spirits, videogame references were the absolute last." She commented, before pointing her nameless crystalline sword at the bat monster, who shrieked in agony at its status: one of its wings nearly severed, its torso sporting a sword hole, and its other wing severely wounded. It was in a very poor condition, indeed, and Garnet smirked. "Now then, let's finish off the boss and continue with the story, shall we?" She said. Suddenly, her expression turned sour as she glared at the beast. "I've been itching to finish this damn game already and move on." She stated.

Then, the two ladies charged at the beast, each of them moving incredibly fast, their sword slashing and thrusting at the creature, who was unable to react to such a ferocious onslaught. Cuts and scars manifested all over the beast's body as it stood helpless in the middle of the room until, finally, the cursed warrior and the fox woman stood on opposite sides of the monster and stabbed their blades into its heart at the same time. The bat struggled no more, and died at last. Its body disintegrated into shadows which scurried off swiftly, disappearing from sight.

At that moment, the platform they stood on began to rumble. The pillars began to fell apart, and at the very edges of the circular platform, as bits and pieces of masonry fell, she could see a bright light from the holes where they had once been. Lava, she suspected, if only because such a cliche explanation would fit in perfectly with most of everything else she had seen there so far.

Paying it little attention, Garnet walked back to Shadow along with Masami, offering her a hand to help her up into the Phantom Horse despite knowing that she probably didn't need it, also implicitly allowing her to ride in front now. Shadow would only follow its master's wishes, anyway.

"You've helped me quite a bit by fighting here alongside me, so thanks for that. I'd like to help you in return, so if there's any place you'd like to go to, just say so. Shadow will take us there." She stated calmly, as if she was unconcerned about the fact that the place was falling apart.

Masami smiled widely. She liked this womans confidence a lot. She was deadly, efficent, cool looking and very mysterious. She had a sort of allure and coolness to her which Masami couldn't help but enjoy.

In a word. She was a "bad-ass". Perhaps not the most "refined" description, but Masami thought it very apt.

"You may learn that I wasn't always so refined. And I didn't always hunt monsters. Or at least I didn't do it as well." She replied, performing the move to dry her blade and then placing it into the scabard. Her face then turned serious as she walked towards shadow. There was a grim look on her face. "We need to go back to the inn. I have the feeling that we might get some answers as to whom had commanded the Tengu. Her scent led me to them. The one of corruption and defilement." She mused. "I smelt something like it at the inn... Which is why it might be best to check and see if my suspicions are correct or not..."

Gilbert soared to the air until eventually the force of Asra's uppercut was able to carry his broken body no further, allowing him to begin the descent. As he dropped, however, he could have sword he saw something strange in the sky. A glint of gold, a strand of white... and then little more. It was just a momentary vision he had as he fell, but he saw it nonetheless, of that, he was certain.

He realized, in a very harsh way, that he had done nothing to avoid falling to his death, not that he could do anything in the first place, he was just, in a way, amused at his own distraction, even through the pain. If the blow had not been enough to kill him, the fall certainly did the job just fine, every bone in his body shattering from the impact as he became little more than a bloody mess on the pavement. But the power of the Time Demon resided within him still, and though he did not want to use it, he saw it as a necessary evil in this occasion. This monster, this beast clad in black armor, it had to be stopped, it was simply something that had to be done. If he would suffer another flash of pain as a result, then so be it. Such were the thoughts that led him to rewind time once again and bring himself back to life, his consciousness inhabiting his body once more.

But when he did that, he saw something that surprised him.

Asra had been too busy watching Gilbert rise and fall to pay attention to anything else, and so, he did not suspect that he was being chased, nor that the one being pursuing him had already caught up. The feeble human's efforts, they were laughable; Asra would certainly have laughed if his altered thought process had allowed for it, but he did not find any of this humorous. He merely observed the human to confirm his destruction. His ability was very interesting, but he, himself, was pathetic. A worm. As worthless as the men of steel that had faced him before. They bore great power, but they showed not the will to use it, which in turn meant that they did not need it. But Asra, he did need that power. His task was, in his eyes, something that trascended this miserable universe which he cared nothing for except in terms of what it had to offer.

Seeing Gilbert crash into the ground, Asra turned around. He was the only one who stood against him, and he showed him no power worthy of helping him challenge the Tyrant God. He would incinerate this world, and then leave to continue his mission.

Or he would have, anyway, but suddenly, bursts of plasma rained down upon him, searing his armor, though in the few places where the blasts managed to break through, they did nothing to the black reflective stonelike substance he was made of, despite burning through his flesh. Curious, Asra turned around, seeing the Rantu huntress standing there. Pointing his sword at her, he released a stream of his Absolute Fire from its tip.

At that moment, the alien warrior would feel everything around her slow down as her perception of time quickened, the stream of flames that would once have been lightning-fast and hard to dodge slowing down considerably without explanation. On a nearby rooftop stood Gilbert, who had moved there as quickly as possible in order to reach the blue woman. At the present moment, all he could think of was defeating the abomination that threatened his world, the corrupted creature below, and what he saw there, above, was an ally that could help him achieve this, or, more accurately, someone whom he could help achieve victory. He had thought that only a miracle would help put this monster down, and the miracle had come.

"Is there anything you can tell me about that thing?" He called out to her. "This is my home, let me help you protect it. I can heal you and make you a better fighter with my powers. If you will defeat that thing, I'll give my life to help you." He stated. Of course, he opted not to mention that 'giving his life' was not as meaningful for him as it was to other people on account of him being able to rewind time even after death. It was cooler this way.

The Alien warrior turned to regard Gilbert, her blue face betraying little emotion, before she nodded slightly. She then teleported next to him to avoid the fire. She had her drones coat Asra in plasma fire to keep him busy for now. Likely they would all be destroyed, but she had more. It was tactically sound to make him think she would be depleted though, Meanwhile she changed her plasma cannons for a single Light Rail rifle, her opponent in her scope. She aimed for her target, adjusting for less explosion and more power. So she wouldn't wreck nearly as much of the world. She couldn't had done this earlier as it also reduced the range considerably.

"What's your story human?" She asked nonchalantly. She punctuated her sentence by firing a projectile faster than light at her opponent. Her mind easily being able to juggle the conversation and sniping Asra. "Not many would give their lives for anything. I should know. I deal in death." She commented off hand-idly. "There has to be a reason. Especially against an abomination like Asra." Another shot rang out. A Rantu proverb states that it is best to never take one shot when you can take two. Aru very much stuck by this moto. Though her next shot that rang out after the second proved she didn't take it litteraly. "Though, if we're luckly. Then no one will have to die. It's why I came down here after all." She then got ready to move. She'd have to take this human with her.

The ground began violently shaking and inevitably broke apart as Ronan brought down his hammer, the powerful Universal Weapon, down upon Ruby. She summoned her gauntlets and caught the hammer with her left hand, releasing a sizable shockwave. She pushed the hammer to the side and punched Ronan square in the stomach, sending him reeling over. She was about to punch him again as he began staggering backwards, but he released a blue beam of energy from the hammer before she could do so.

Ruby outstretched both her arms and grabbed the beam with both hands. She then swung her arms up and redirects the beam to the sky. Ruby and the now recovered Ronan charged at each other. Suddenly the deflected beam did a u-turn midair, swung behind Ruby, and flew right at her. She was struck in the back by the beam, which fazed her enough so that she couldn't react to Ronan bringing down his hammer on her head at a 45 degree angle, sending her to the ground and her sunglasses flying and landing next to her.

Ultron-Warlock began laughing his typical evil maniacal laugh. "This body is fantastic. Such power. Though, it is difficult to control." Ultron had naturally failed to realize why the body was difficult to control completely. Warlock's power was mystic based, and Ultron had virtually no real experience with magic.

Ruby picked up her sunglasses, her face largely obscured by her hair, and put them back on. "Do you really believe you'll win? You're outnumbered."

"Oh, is that so?" Ultron-Warlock flashed a devilish grin. Then, a sphere made of bright yellow light appeared on the battlefield. As the light dimmed, two beings were revealed in the center of the sphere: Super-Adaptoid and a new enemy, Genis-Vell, AKA Photon.. Super Adaptoid immediately flew off to attack Kylie and Photon rushed at Naja and Atiala. "What say you, now?"

"I say, 'What took you so long?'" Ruby said.

"What are y-" Ultron-Warlock began to ask. He was tackled to the ground by a blur of yellow energy, forming a small crater. Standing over him was Jamal.

"You'll get over it. I'm here, aren't I?" Jamal responded. Genis-Vell and Super Adaptoid were about to jump Jamal when they were both hit with plasma energy blasts.

"And you're late." Ruby said, looking up in another direction.

"Apologies." A voice recognizable as Mantis said. She stood atop a large rock along with Star-Lord, Rocket Racoon, Gamora, and Groot. "Rocket insisted that we raid the weapons cache."
"The Nixon campaign in 1968, and the Nixon White House after that, had two enemies: the antiwar left and black people. You understand what I'm saying? We knew we couldn't make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders. raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did."—former Nixon domestic policy chief John Ehrlichman

Asumar was trying to reconnect himself and find himself through peaceful meditation, however, he couldn't help but feel the balance of the Multiverse shift quickly, followed by the disappearance of Kilian's unique energy signature. Asumar's eyes fluttered open, his body and the candles alongside him landing softly onto the ground "Hm?" Asumar said to himself, looking up into the air. The Elder Masaki slowly stood "Did Kilian's energy signature disappear?" Asumar muttered to himself, turning to an open corridor. Upon exiting the meditation room, Asumar stared out into the night sky, the stars twinkling in peaceful harmony, but it was as if a brand new star had joined the others, he could sense Kilian's presence everywhere yet nowhere at the same time. "There can be no mistake whatsoever, the energy I can sense, it is the Speed Demon alright."

Asumar put his hands behind his back as he watched the stars shining brightly before him "This energy is similar to his ascended form..." Asumar pondered, a small smile forming on his face, a light breeze causing his hair to flow through the wind "So you've finally ascended Kilian?" Asumar asked, waiting for someone or something to answer his question.

Elena Galadera/Batgirl
The Oncoming Storm - Gotham Rises

Needing to find out where Vannis' warehouses and bases were, she searched the immediate vicinity, and only a few blocks from the safehouse, found a group of 10 henchmen guarding a warehouses. Sneaking through an upper window after making herself invisible, she dropped some crates and wrenches onto the floor from above, causing a great amount of sound. The henchmen, having learned to leave nothing to chance in this city, fanned out, sending 2 to each of the four floors, leaving 2 henchmen to guard the crates.

Elena mentally grinned to herself, having wanted to separate some. Looking up at the lights, she made them, flickering, temporarily halting the 2 sent to her floor. They hoisted their sub-automatic weapons, clicking off the safeties. As they neared her hiding place, she made the lights go out completely. She heard shouts of shock and then leaped out from her hiding place, jumping onto the wall beside them and lifting herself onto the scaffolding.

Seeing a white flash, they blindly fired, their gunshots echoing. But they were too late, and she had them exactly where she wanted them, Elena leaping on top of them and knocking them out with some swift, placed punches. She continued on, sneaking behind them and then attacking, grabbing their guns and disappearing. As they spun in confusion, she pounced, dragging their knocked out bodies to empty rooms.

Heading back to the ground floor, she filled the bulbs with light once more, creating a blinding flash that made one of them drop their weapons in order to cover their eyes. By the time the other's eyes had recovered, his partner was gone.

He, grabbing his weapon, blindly fired in all directions, Elena ducking for cover as the bullets sprayed across the room. "Where are you?!" he cried out, temporarily stopping.

A quiet voice spoke out behind him. "Here."

He dropped the machine gun, and swiftly turned, pulling out his pistol, firing 5 bullets. Each bounced off Elena's light shield covering her suit. "Why won't you die?" he asked in a small voice.

Elena shrugged, walking towards him slowly, not minding it as he continued to fire until his pistol was empty. "Perhaps it is because it is not yet my time. Or maybe, it is because, for now, I am a Bat. And if you've spent enough time in this city, you'll know that we Bats don't die easily."

She disappeared, appearing right before him, grabbing his collar and putting him against the wall. "Tell me where Vannis' warehouses are, his key assets, his HQ, and Two-Face's as well. Everything you know." He shook his head frantically. "I won't!", he shouted out with a measure of both despair and defiance.
Elena raised an eyebrow beneath her suit and spoke, "Look into these eyes, and tell me that you won't." she said.

He glanced for a moment into those glittering blue eyes beneath the cowl, gulping and tearing away his eyes, looking behind her at his fallen bullets. And sure enough, she told her everything she needed to know.

Elena nodded. "Thank you. I don't know the circumstances that caused you to join up with Vannis, but consider this a blank slate, a new start. Find a legitimate, safe job. A storm is coming, and you don't want to be with Vannis when it hits. So walk away, begin anew.

He nodded, and dropped his weapons, walking out. Elena stared after him for a minute and then headed to the other levels, collecting their various weapons and knives. Putting them in a pile, she lit it up, dumping the wooden crates containing weapons into the bonfire. And before it, she left a Batarang, returning to the safehouse to rendezvous with Dean.

That Batarang was a sign, a warning. She had spoken truly. A storm was coming, and it would wash away the depravity and corruption that laid within Gotham. Too long had the city been the darkest city in the world, it was time for Gotham to rise.

Craig chuckled, letting Etla drag him along. She never seemed to run out of steam or energy, and with such bubbly personality, it was no wonder that they had clicked so well. He looked on with interest as they reached the portal, reading the instructions, quite impressed. "Very." he murmured in response to Etla, already reducing it down to its barest state using his abilities, finding out how it worked and determining to make one of his own, with a few additions. That could solve the problems of waste forever. This could be something big, he thought, along with the shield generator, enough to change the world forever.

He noticed belatedly that Etla had gone through and walked in after her, spinning in a circle, growing more impressed every moment. "How about..." he said, thinking for a moment, "We have a fight and then go for food. I believe with your cores you're much more powerful than me, but I'd like to try. Then we can eat for as long as we want, or decide if we want to do something else as well."

"I got glowy, sparkle guy!" Naja said flying towards Photon. She could feel the energy coming off of the man. "I really hope you're tougher than the rest of these guys." She said.

"You'll find that I'm pretty strong." He replied catching Naja, which slid him back across the ground. "Oh... I can see that. You're a strong one... A really strong one. You and the hybrid. Now I see why the Great Ultron wanted you two. You're a threat to him. So I'm going to take you two someplace where you're not a threat." He said and shrank both Naja and Atiala down to the microverse so that not only would they be a far smaller threat to Ultron, literally, so that he could gauge just how powerful they were. "Welcome to the Microverse. Those planets you see are molecules."

"So we're tiny?" She smiled. "I'm not exactly sure of the size of what a million exploding suns looks like. But your face is going to find out." She said and her red eyes glowed bright gold instead as she smashed into Photon, which sent the crashing and smashing through the Microverse. "I've never got to use this much power before! If I'm getting a bit too rough, just let me know!" She shouted letting out a massive energy wave, which Photon countered with his own equally powerful one.

"I don't think so. Not gonna lie to you, for a lower lifeform, you're pretty strong. You're a Terran, most Terrans can't do what you're doing."

"Not yet anyways. Just you wait." She said and they both intensified their energy blasts so that it was visible to those who weren't as small as them. The glow being roughly the size of a baseball.

"More or less. It's something that wasn't supposed to happen for another few years." He said, an ethereal version of him in his Speed Demon outfit. So I'm just going to watch things unfold as they do. Though Naja and her friend Kylie were having a conversation about whether or not he was a peeping tom. He's not. I checked."

After a while, the Reclaimer's screaming stopped. "W... What happened?"

The Commissioner glanced at him with some degree of surprise. "Damn. Thought you'd be out longer. I just lost ten bucks."

Retlyer glared. "Thanks."

Rolling his eyes, the Commissioner gave him a brief rundown of what he missed while he was dying. "Croc took a bite out of you- More than one. We came to check on you and heard the screams as you healed. Remember that Mask from earlier? He showed up. Got a death wish if you ask me- Wants to take out Two-Face and Vannis in one go. Either way, we were waiting for you to come up before we made our plan to assault them."

Gathering all this, Retlyer stared. "I thought you said attacking them is a death wish?"

"Masks don't die. Their men, however, do. With Two-Face and Vannis distracted by a new Mask in town, and rumors of a new Bat running the show, we'll be making a push to take back the city. With luck, their forces will be distracted. When you're ready to join us, Sleeping Beauty, one of our runners got a Kevlar vest out of an abandoned Penguin stache. We painted your new symbol on it."

"I don't have a-"

"You've got 10 minutes. Meet me at the entrance to HQ."

Atiala Hypernova, Microscopes

We run through the tower, blast a hole, then tons of characters come in, fighting other kinds ogf goons, then some stronger glowy guy attacks us and we're suddenly between molecules. The Microverse, as they call it. Yeah, the fast pacing is strong with this one. I actually knew a bit about what this Microverse was, that is from reading some comics with it, so I wasn't completely lost.

Meanwhile, I followed Naja, trying to keep up flying at full speed. She didn't seem to pull any punches, and the fight quickly turned into an epic beam clash. Alright, joining in! I haven't done a ki attack in ages. Wait, I need a move name...

"Hold on, I'm helping!" I shouted while powering up in a fiery white-gold-ish aura, then extended my hand backwards and charged up a lot of ki and solar energy in the palm. "Nova Flash!" I shoured and threw the arm forward, releasing a massive hot white energy beam, adding into the beam clach and helping Naja's side. I myself didn't know I could release this much energy...
I have a severe case of addiction to writing. At least 3k words every day is my fix.

Empire of the Siberian Flaming Eskimos wrote:Salis nodded as he heard the location. Like anyone on the run with half a brain he had explored the major parts of the city for future reference. He could get them reasonably close and let Jenny lead from there. "Next stop, the Docks," Salis entered his portal and came out behind a trash can that had been pushed against an alley wall. Kicking it out of the way, Salis stepped into the docks. The wind was blowing softly but steadily from the sea, carrying the scent of salt and fish. Salis pulled his jacket tighter around himself as the cold bit at him.

"So, where's the entrance to this base of his," he said as pulled on his jacket, "I can't take us somewhere I haven't been. Unless you want to end up impaled on piece of a shipwreck of course."

"Before you could do it, I would scream that I was being kidnapped," Jenny replied, "and that you were going to rape me." She knew her way around words well enough to do it. She smiled, then dived off of the docks. She resurfaced moments later, to see Salis still standing on the docks. She climbed back onto the docks and said, "I forget you're not Atlantean. All you need is a little help." With one big push, she tossed him in the water and dived in after him. She swum under one of the docks, then touched a button. A small cave opened up underneath it. She motioned for him to swim inside.

Salis' confusion was quickly replaced by anger as Jenny pulled him under the water. Spinning around confused, he took awhile to get his bearings and notice the newly opened cave. Glaring at her, he swam through and came up sputtering. "This is leather you know," he said as he motioned to his now soaked jacket, "it's completely ruined. You owe me a new coat. Also, I wasn't threatening you back there. If I don't know where I'm going I could literally end up impaled on a ship wreck. If I wanted you dead I would have just done it." Turning away, Salis now moved towards the back of the cave to find where it led.

"Where are you Mr. Freeze," he muttered to himself, "I'm going through a lot of shit and I don't have time for games."

The Penguin stepped out of the shadows, "Do you know how birdbrained that was? He is Salis-he killed your-er-you know."
"Her father?" asked another voice. The Riddler stepped out of the shadows next to Freeze.

"Dad?" asked Jenny, running towards him.

"You think a man that knows forty ways out of Arkham is going to fall into a black hole?" he asked, embracing his daughter.

"Gentlemen, Salis would like the location of Two Face, which I know that you know. He has agreed not to kill you in exchange for that information," Jenny replied.

"Where do you think he is? In my nest," Penguin replied, "my Iceberg Lounge."

Jamal reached down and grabbed Ultron-Warlock. He landed a powerful blow to the jaw. Then another. And another, with the CRACK! of each successful punch growing louder and louder. While it looked like he was being rather ruthless, in reality he was holding back quite a bit. After all, it was the body of his friend. Unfortunately, that placed him at an even larger disadvantage. One Ultron-Warlock took advantage of.

"Enough!" Ultron-Warlock shouted and released an area of effect energy blast in all directions, sending Jamal backwards. He reached out his right hand and grabbed Jamal by the waist with energy and threw him into the ground repeatedly. "There is no way for you to win. Give up."

"[Jamal, it is advisable that you stop holding back. This is not an enemy that you can take lightly.]" Worldmind said as Jamal launched a gravimetric beam at Ultron-Warlock, only for him to wave his hand and the beam to travel around him and right back at Jamal.

"Thanks for the non-assistance." Jamal said as he barely got up a shield in time, though it sent him back a little and to his knees. "But, I'm not destroying Warlock's body. Besides, you know we have a trump card." Warlock and Tyro crashed the ground, Warlock in front of Ultron, and Tyro in the middle of the fight between the Phalanx and Mantis and the others. "Well, two, really."

"[Ultron-Phalanx! You face the wrath of your parent race! And we are not pleased!" Warlock balled clasped his hands together and brought them down, hard, on Ultron-Warlock's head.

A hand reached down in front of Jamal. He looked up and saw Star-Lord. "Seriously, Jamal, the Technarchy?" He said as he pulled Jamal up from his knees. "How the hell did you mange that?" Star-Lord asked and fired a blast from his element gun at a nearby Phalanx soldier. A second one tried to flank him but it was crushed by Groot, who had increased his size significantly.

"I am Groot!" He shouted triumphantly.

"Long story, Peter. A more important question is why the hell do you have a talking tree on your team?" Jamal asked.

"We also have a talking Racoon, if that makes it any better."

"Hell yeah, taste plasma! That's what you fuckers get for touching my blaster!" Rocket exclaimed.

"...Not rea-" Jamal began and then something rammed into his side. He reoriented himself and floated above the ground, with Warlock in his arms facing away from him. "You okay?"

"[Yes, Self is not significantly damaged. Ultron-Phalanx is strong.]"

"Yeah, I figured. Together, then?" Jamal asked.

The two charged Ultron-Warlock. "[Together!]" Warlock said.

Super Adaptoid saw the bright yellow and green streaks flying as Kylie and K'Ragnar's fight raged on. He sought to assist K'Ragnar and end the fight quickly so that they could change the tides of the main battle and overwhelm the enemies. Suddenly he was hit by a blast of yellow energy from the side. He looked in the direction from where the attack originated. Phyla charged at her, sword construct in hand.

"[Accessing: Thor.]" Super Adaptoid took on an appearance reminiscent of the hero Thor, and swung his hammer at Phyla-Vell. Phyla managed to block it with her sword construct. The two exchanged a few attacks and counterattacks and Super Adaptoid fired lightning at Phyla from his makeshift hammer.

Phyla shielded herself with a bubble construct that encased her, and the shield changed its form into tendrils that outstretched towards Super Adaptoid, transformed into chains, and coiled around him.

"[Accessing: Hercules]" Super Adaptoid broke out of the chain construct.

"D'ast it, you're gonna be a pain in the-" Phyla's eyes widened as she watched Quantum Bands appear on Super Adaptoid's forearms.

"[Accessing: Quasar.]"

Sarah couldn't help smiling as she felt her little sister's massive, furry arms embraced her as well, feeling the mighty werewolf's warmth. The smile grew wider still as she felt her begin to shrink in her arms, feeling the fur fade until eventually, the thing she was embracing was no longer a fearsome werewolf, but a pretty little girl with wolf ears. The fact that she seemed weaker made Sarah worry, even though she knew that this kind of thing usually happened after Hanah used one of her transformations, and so, she tightened her embrace on her little sister, unwilling to let her fall or let her go, though the smile and the comment made her feel better, and so, finally, she let go, toying a bit with her little sister's ears.

"I'm glad you're okay." She said, before turning towards Samantha. She was right; the police was likely after them after their robbery of the First Bank of Starling City, and they had spent too much time there already. The best thing they could do for now was head elsewhere and lie low for a bit, maybe (though if there was anything the Grimms could not do it was lie low). She was just glad that Sam remembered to take the money. She'd forgotten about it during the fight with the wizard and while making sure that Hanah was okay.

Getting into the back seat of the van along with Hanah, she spoke. "So were are we going, Sam?" She asked her younger sister curiously, leaning back on the seat and stretching her arms a bit. "Somewhere with cute boys I hope." She added with a smile.

Garnet chuckled upon hearing the kitsune's comments. Really, she should have guessed that Masami hadn't always been like that. After all, wasn't that the case with her? She hadn't always been a woman who hunted monsters with cursed weapons, after all. She hadn't always had the achievement of shooting alien demons or beating giant gargoyles silly. So, she supposed she shouldn't have been so hasty to judge Masami.

Shrugging off that train of thought, she listened to what the kitsune said about the inn. Frowning slightly, Garnet nodded at the fox lady as she helped her up onto the back of the Phantom Horse. With that done, she stared straight ahead, pausing for a moment.

"Alright then. What are we waiting for?" She asked. Shadow, apparently, saw it fit to respond to this question with a derisive snort, but the blonde rider ignored it and spoke again. "To the inn it is. Let's go." She said. Immediately, Shadow took off, and the three of them went on a journey through dimensions once again, soon reaching the inn.

Still accelerating the perception of time for himself and his extraterrestrial ally, Gilbert was quite relieved when she nodded and then approached, still keeping up her onslaught on the black beast before him. It seemed that she was willing to do what it took to stop this Asra, and it seemed that she was also willing to let him help, though for now, the best he could do was accelerate her senses and help protect her from the creature's flames, since it was more than evident that even hitting him with one hundred times his own strength had done absolutely nothing to the invader. So for now, he decided to simply help the Rantu and let her take the lead. His reserves would keep him going for a while anyway.

The woman's questions, however, took him by surprise.

"I..." He mumbled, pausing for a moment before sighing. "Well, alright. I can cheat death, sort of. It's why I survived that hit he gave me. My mind can outlast my body, and then I can rewind my own death. That's why I'm not afraid to die." He explained. "Now, if you ask why I'm fighting, that's a different matter. I... feel like it's my duty. Some things have happened that make me question myself often, but even despite that I know that if I don't do something, millions could die. Should they die if I can do something about it? I think not." He stated. "That's why I tried to fight him, even though I hardly even dented his armor, and it's also why I'm hoping you can kill him before he causes any more damage."

Meanwhile, Asra felt the drones pelting him with plasma blasts. They further shredded his armor, leaving him nearly completely exposed, parts of the chestplate and half of his helmet being destroyed by the attacks, along with his black boots and gauntlets. His red hair flowed out of the gap in his helmet, and from behind the half-cracked red visor, one could see the bright green gaze of a Rainborn. The cloth and skin on some parts of his body had burned away, exposing more of the black material underneath. Eventually, the Ashbringer grew bored of this, and decided to annihilate the drones. There was a beat of his flameborn wings, and suddenly, a spherical wave of Absolute Fire manifested, with him at its center. The sphere expanded constantly, incinerating everything it touched, leaving not even ash behind as it devoured everything, until finally, it engulfed the drones as well, at which point it ceased expanding, disappearing.

However, then came the sniper's assault. Asra actually sustained damage from that, including one of his hands being blown off. He did not seem to react to this, but suddenly, his every injury was enveloped in dark, corrupted fire, and he let out a bloodcurdling scream. Suddenly, his injuries seemed to disappear, and shortly after the fire dissipated.

"And here I thought I was the only one who could cheat." Gilbert thought to himself. "He's... he's burning away time. He destroys the event that caused him damage, and the consequences disappear. I had never met someone who could do that." He said to Aru. That was only a half-truth, of course, as that which the Time Demon did to rewind time as a bit similar in practice, even if it was not so similar in principle.

"It's going to be difficult to put him down if he keeps that up. We need to find his weak point."

Etla waited expectantly to hear what Craig would choose, she was rather surprised, albeit pleasantly, to hear that he wanted to try fighting her in the Devil's Den arena. A grin spread across her face, and, using her grip on Craig's hand, the blonde girl pulled him towards her, at the same time leaning closer and closer until their faces were almost touching, having to stand on the balls of her feet due to being shorter than him.

"I'm going to kick your ass." She said quietly with playful enthusiasm, before pulling back and dragging him out of the portal lobby, into the Devil's Den and towards the reception, where she had a long and slightly confusing chat with the receptionist before they were finally allowed into the arena.

Stopping just outside for last minute changes, Etla closed her eyes for a moment. "Power Shift: Star Core." She muttered, and suddenly, the Star Core manifested inside of her, within her chest, empowering her greatly, though most of that power was suppressed by the bracelet she wore. Not minding this one bit, as she believed it only made the battle fairer, she stepped into the arena, opting to neglect donning her sword and armor, instead remaining in her usual attire, with her jeans, white tube top and red jacket. It ought to be more fun if Craig had an actual chance to win, she decided.

Finally facing the young inventor, the Rainborn grinned once again, cracking her knuckles, as unnecessary as such a thing was for an inorganic creature such as her. "I've always wondered how a human would do against me. I'll try not to hit you in the face, though, since I think you're handsome." She teased.

Salis pulled his gun as Mr. Freeze stepped from the shadows. His aim switched as more targets came into view. Did anyone die at the asylum? Then the Riddler came out. He's her father? Questions spun through Salis' head as his gun stayed level. As he heard Jenny and the Penguin speak though, his head cleared. Mentally, he face palmed. Of course he was at the Iceberg Lounge. A gang member he had interrogated earlier had mentioned it. Then he realized what Jenny had said.

"I never agreed to sparing anyone's life," said Salis as his aim swiveled to The Penguin again. "I'll spare the Riddler since you helped me, but I'm not going to clean up Two-Face and Vannis just so these two clowns can take over. No, I'm not leaving with Penguin and Freeze alive, and I'm checking for bodies this time." Salis checked his aim again, and fired a shot at the Penguin's head.

Samantha Grimm
Once her sisters were in the car, Samantha pulled out of the alley on to a side road as she began to drive away from the back. She had cast a spell that would hide the money from outside view, and would blur the car's license plate to any camera. She heard her sister's question as she drove. "Gotham City" She told Sarah. "It's a good place to lay low and figure things out. You know, like what we should do with the millions of dollars we now have." She said with a smile. She saw that her sisters were very tired from the robbery and the fight. "You two should get some sleep. I'll wake you in a few hours when I stop somewhere for food." She told her sisters. She didn't mind driving first. Besides, she wasn't sure she'd be able to sleep after what happened with the wizard. Even though they had won, it was such a strange feeling she had. He continued to follow and chase them, and every fight he seemed to get tougher. How were they supposed to stop him? She drove in silence for a while, not sure whether or not her sisters were awake.

John Morgan "The Flame Guard"
John "Jack" Morgan was on his way to Gotham by plane. He owned a penthouse in the city which would serve as his base of operations during his time there. He didn't visit Gotham much, but the city had been getting increasingly out of control and with the lose of the GCPD, Jack decided it was time to get involved. However he didn't have many contacts in the city, nor was he familar with the here's who usually patrolled this area. As he arrived at his pent house and prepared to go on patrol, he thought about his strategy. He'd have to make himself known, so he decided he'd take the fight to the crime bosses and hit them hard.

"Clowns or not, they still have information to help you," she insisted, "if you will spare their lives. And if you try to kill them, you'll get through me first." She pulled out her cell phone, "I have been recording this the whole time. I will send this to every newspaper and government agency in the world and they'll hear how you killed a fifteen year old girl trying to find her father. If I were you, I'd put the gun down. You can have Two-face, but you're not going to lay a finger on them."

"She has wit," muttered the Riddler, "that's my girl." Penguin had ducked to the ground after Jenny jumped in front of him.

His breathing halted as Etla pulled him closer and closer. Was she going to kiss him? he thought, the thought suddenly popping into his head. That would be ridiculous right? She didn't like him that way, right? Craig thought to himself, trying to refocus, responding belatedly. "Right back at you. Bring it." he said, a competitive glint in his eye.

Shoving away those wierd thoughts that he had never encountered, he raised an eyebrow at Etla's lack of armor. "No armor?" he asked. "I suppose I'll do the same, to a point, he said," focusing on the thin silver band he wore around his wrist, summoning his armor. That is, to be more correct, the armored gauntlets and boots of it, to allow him to fly and to increase his blows. The full Silverwing armor, being comprised of Adamantium, Uru and Vibranium, wouldn't be much fun.

He knew that Etla was stronger than him regardless, so as always, he would have to rely on his brain to win. His brain started on recalling what Etla had told him about Rainborn Physiology, once again, completely halted by Etla's comment. There was an awkward pause, and then he quickly spoke. "Why thank you!" Craig said, trying to not let his face reflect the butterfiles, or whatever it was that rose in his stomach. Craig was a logical man, and being young as he was, noted to himself to examine himself after the fight to find out what this thing was he kept feeling. There had to be a logical explanation, right?

"I'll do the same then." he said. Seeing that, Etla was ready, he lifted his palm, sending a hand blast as a primary attack before leaping towards Etla, aiming a punch towards the stomach.

"Thanks... I don't know your name. Sorry about that." She replied to Atalia and stopped the beam struggle with Photon.

"Okay. So you're a little stronger than I was led to believe. That's fine. It'll make you that much more useful to Ultron!" He shouted, charging at Naja.

"Like I'd serve an overgrown toaster!" She replied, charging at him. They smashed into eachother, the force pushing several molecules away from the epicenter of their impact. "Holy crap, you're a little stronger than I thought." She said as Photon began to push her back a bit.

"Thank you. Come on. I'm sure Ultron'll let you keep your free will. Most of it at least."

"I'll pass... And." He said kicking him in the gut, which had less of an impact than she hoped it would, but it was enough to knock him into one of the planet sized molecules. "Did that even hurt?" She asked.

"Not really, no. Not too many people hit me like that. Then again, most people don't live that long." Photon said, charging large amounts of his solar energies into his hands, Naja did the same with her own type of energy. "But it's nice to actually have to try once in awhile." And with that, they kept smashing into eachother, knocking the other away, only to have them come back and hit them again, their beams were blocked by eachother's midway to hitting the other. "You know that I'm gonna win eventually, right? Sure you're strong. Almost as strong as me. Which is no joke. We're outputting enough juice to fry a chunk of the galaxy. But you're not as skilled. You don't use this much power very often, do you?"

"Nope. Don't need this much more often than not. A little bit is enough to make me as strong as a Kryptonian. This much? I don't know how strong I am."

"Eh. Above average for sure. Would kill to see you beat up Thanos. Or Darkseid. He's not much better. We can probably do it once you're inside the collective."

"That is the most roundabout way of asking for a date that I've ever heard. And I've beaten Darkseid's daughter up. And for the record." She said grabbing a blow that he threw, twisting him around and slamming both her feet into his back. "I'm already in a relationship."

When the Reclaimer reached the entrance, wearing his Kevlar vest with his symbol on it, the Commissioner was already talking. "I want Runners at all of the old hotspots. The Funhouse, the Iceberg Lounge, the Gardens, Ace Chemicals- Anywhere we have significant past Mask activity. I also want eyes on the ground at Arkham and the GCPD. In the meantime, Reclaimer and I will be leading two teams to lead assaults on the territories of Vannis and Two-Face. We're expecting significant resistance, but Runners have been dispatched to bring the word that we're the good guys. We might get the occasional civilian helping us out. We have at least one known Mask with a bloodlust after Vannis and Two-Face, and word on the street is that there's a new Bat in town. We pull this off right, half of Gotham should be ours by the time the Gangs know what hit them. If the Masks and the Bat pull their part off, the Gangs should be headless. It's the perfect time to strike. Runners have already been dispatched to the Courthouse, Two-Face's usual haunt, to see if he's there and keep an eye on him. The rest of the Runners should keep an eye out for unusual clusters of activity and report them. Vannis could be anywhere in the city, and I want to know when he goes down."

He finally noticed Retlyer. "Finally decided to join us? Reclaimer here is a Mask, if he goes down, he gets up in a couple of hours after a bit of screaming. Strong too, can take more punishment than most. Reclaimer, congratulations, you've just been promoted to my Second. If I go down, your orders come from him."

"W-Wait a minute-"

"Dismissed. Runners, head out, report via radio when you've reached destination. Reclaimer, walk with me." The Commissioner began to rapidly walk away from the meeting, leaving Retlyer to follow him and the rest of the men to get to work preparing or setting out.

"You can't just make lead a group of men, let alone take your place- I'm no leader, I'm a Mask- A smoking gun. Not a flag you can wave around!" Retlyer attempted to admonish the Commissioner as the two continued to walk.

"You signed up for this when you signed up for the GCD, Retlyer. You think I was going to use an untrained, undisciplined, unskilled Mask as a, 'smoking gun?' " The Commissioner scoffed. "You didn't last three seconds against Croc, every time you get a little cut you start screaming bloody murder, and the average thug can get up to your strength level with a dose of Venom. Come on, Retlyer, you're smarter than this. As a Leader, you'll be able to more than as a damn cheerleader, which is all you'll be if you don't step up to the plate." He finally stopped walking, and turned to face the angry Reclaimer. "You need to either step up to the plate, or let the real men get their hands dirty. Which is going to be, Retyler?"

"I could kill you with a snap of my hands."

"Get the hell out of my sight, and come back when you've stopped being a prick."

With that, the Commissioner walked away once more, leaving behind a very strong, very fast, very upset Retlyer, who decided to let some steam off into the training bags they had in the warehouse across the street.

[[ That's not exactly his symbol, but close enough. Basically just get rid of the weird blot at the top and make the spire end in a point.]]

Asumar chuckled as Kilian mentioned about the recent events that were transpiring all around the Universe, he wasn't surprised at all, as a matter of fact, he suspected as much "To think that long ago we used to be enemies, then sworn rivals, and then enemies once more." Asumar laughed, looking up to Kilian with a smile on his face "It seems that now, instead of being rivals and enemies, that circle has been broken and I hope it never becomes mended again." Asumar said, pondering on the events that circled around the two, from attacking Earth to trying to be better than Kilian, back to trying to kill him in order to redeem his long gone pride "I feel glad that you can have peace after all this long, from my futile attempts to oppose you, I have to admit that even through my lifespan, you became a legend in such short time, only in a few years..." A frown formed on Asumar's face, believing that his next words were to be undeniably true "It seems that even the Masaki have become obsolete and unescessary in this world, I actually wonder why our people continue to exist even if we are in such small supply at the moment."

Asumar turned away from Kilian quietly "For the first time In my life, I feel as if there is nothing more for me to do..." Asumar's fist tightened up quickly "Even though I want to protect those I love, I fear that I'll never possess the power necessary for such a thing, not even with my former capabilities, for I felt that usage of the Speed Force was not for me, nor was it ever meant for me, so I gave it up for good..." Asumar's fist began to loosen slowly "I don't think I'll ever understand what it truly means to protect those that you love, my past is far too shrouded in darkness and uncertainty to ever be able to truly understand, I've recognized that along with wanting to be a legend, that was exactly why I strived to be better than you, to be able to overcome you like a great tsunami does to it's opponent's..." Asumar gestured towards Kilian "But by what I see now, It is obvious that I was never meant to be stronger than you."

"It likely never will. When my son and the other Flashes pass away, I will select a new champion to wield it's power." He explained. "Asumar, I never thought of you as an enemy. If I did, you'd be dead. Such is the life of a human. Their span so short, but that just means they burn so much hotter." He said sitting cross legged in the air. "I suppose that's what happens when you gaze into infinity. You realize that everything is so... Worthless. felt the same way when I used the Infinity Gauntlet and looked to my future. I saw that I was fated to become this. I didn't want my destiny. But as I learned, even the fastest man in the universe can't out run destiny. It's a big universe out there. With powerful beings that eclipse you, I can understand how you feel. But take my word for it. Being small isn't a bad thing. I got big, and I made enemies that no one wants to have."

"Well. Let me ask you this, are your loved ones still alive?" He asked. He already knew the answer, but it was more to make a point. "The answer is yes. Your son is very much alive. As is your brother. So far, I'd say that you're doing just fine. It's a big burden, you feel small and weak. But don't make mountains out of molehills. You have friends and allies who are more than happy to help you if you need it. Everyone has a purpose Asumar. Some things just work out the way they do. But you don't need to be stronger than me. You shouldn't try to be like me, you should try to be more like you. We're different people. With different lives and parts in the universe. Besides, I'm not exactly a great role model. I've made mistakes. Lots of them that have gotten me and other people I love hurt and killed."

"You're going to make mistakes Asumar. Everyone does. I was never perfect. I've made big mistakes. Painful ones. I've been selfish, cowardly, murderous, egotistical, and downright insane. More than once." He snickered. "I'm not proud of it. Besides. So far, you've taken better care of your son than I have. I had to leave my son with his mother because I had to become this. You still have your son. You can still go over, and hug him and train with him and all that stuff. Me? I can't do that. I can't ever do that again."
