"Nathan, look." Richard said as he pointed down below. "Another one, seems like he's seeking to join the fight."

"Another one?" Nathan asked rhetorically, " God, they aren't helping the situation at all, an entire city leveled, and all they're willing to do is fight." He sighed as he studied the situation unfolding below him. "Richard, could you head down and talk to them? Get them to stop fighting and maybe help us out. There might be other survivors in the vicinity. And under any circumstances, don't join the slugfest.".

"Sure." Richard grunted as he hopped off.

Richard was pissed, these people who he assumed were one of the good guys were too dumb to understand that they were causing more harm than good. Richard never bothered to pretend to be a hero, he was working for Nathan, that's it, but it felt like even he could play a better hero than them. He sighed as he landed on top on the previously thrown truck.

"Stop fighting, dickfaces. Either help scour the city for survivors, or leave. This city has seen enough chaos." He paused as he scanned their faces, awaiting a response.

"Rude. I just got here. You want to tell me what's going on?" Sayaku picked up his bag and turned towards Richard. "I'm Sayaku, I'm out looking to be a hero. Kind of crazy, I know, but I think I know what I'm getting myself into."

Richard stared intently at the young man, "I'm pretty sure heroes don't randomly look for fights to join, dickwad.", he declared.

"If you really want to help, convince these guys to stop fighti-"

"Yeah, what he said!" Nathan interrupted. "Hey! Richard", he called. "Get me and Nicholas down there! This one seems more civil."

Richard turned away for a moment and sighed, "Alright Nathan. Just stop yelling." Richard leapt back onto the roof where Nathan and Nicholas were hastily waving their arms in the air.

"Alright, alright, I got the both of you." Richard said as he scooped his teammates up onto his arms before leaping back down onto the streets. Nathan quickly hopped out of Richard's arms and went forward to shake the newly arrived young man's hand. "Nice to meet you. You can call me Nathan." He quickly introduced, "Ronald MacFrownald over there's Richard, and the one with the permanant pucker's Nicholas." Richard and Nicholas promptly waved as their names were being called out.

"You seem nice." Nicholas said as he examined the stranger in front of him. "Wish I could say the same for the other two over there, having their eternal brawl." Nathan continued, "Now, do you have a name?".

Nicholas awkwardly moved forward and nudged Nathan's arm with his elbow. "Um, Nathan. He already bloody told us his name, I think it was Sayaku--" Nicholas paused as he glanced at the stranger, "Right?" he asked.

The Templar High Council wrote:"Yeah, I'm Sayaku. Nice to meet ya." He waved, then turned back to the two combatants locked in battle. "So... what? Are they going to stop? Oh, and are you guys... I don't even have a word for it... mutants? Superhumans? Empowered people? Where I come from, that kind of agility is pretty normal, but it's apparently not the same everywhere else."

Nathan laughed hysterically as he tries to deny having any extraordinary abilities, "Ha! Nope! I'm a 100% Human. Nicholas too. We're just more specialized than other Humans. Richard, however, has been ejected with a virus. It gave him quite a number of abilities, but he's still human." Nathan paused to examine Sayaku's expression, hoping that his thinly-veiled lie was enough to convince him. "But I'm quite sure the two behind me are pretty darn special, and no. It doesn't seem like they're about to stop soon."

Nathan turned towards the two fighting brawlers. "The man claims to be half-alien, Saiyan, was he called it, and half-God.". Nathan proceeded to point at the chick with a blade in her hand, "The lady, on the other hand, I'm not too sure about. She started screaming before I could speak, and after she stopped screaming, she knocked me and Nicholas out with some sort of gas.". Nathan paused and took a step back, "I wouldn't go near her if I were you.".

"Now enough about us. What about you? We know your name, but who exactly are you?" Nathan questioned, before giving the man a chance to respond, he continued excitedly, "You know what, instead of just answering us, would you like to head back to my jet for some tests? They'll be under your discretion of course. We'll avoid doing anything you're uncomfortable with.". Nathan was extremely curious about these new heroes popping up everywhere, as the files he stole from S.H.I.E.L.D. barely covered half of them.

"You're the slow one, shitewipe!"

The two of them found themselves being blasted apart from each other by a powerful burst of fog, only this type was, for some reason, non-toxic. They, well, Noreen, at least, landed near Nathan, Nicholas and Richard. For extra comedic effect, Noreen landed on her face. Nothing was broken, however, and she quickly sat up.

"You wouldn't happen to know that tailed whacko, would ya?"

"Eeep!" Nathan yelped as he jumped onto Nicholas, shocked by the lady's sudden landing.

"Oh, for fuck's sake, Nathan." Nicholas and Richard teased in unison.

"Shut up. Both of you." Nathan quickly muttered as he tried to calm himself.

"Great, are you both finally done fighting?" He asked. "If so, can we all just calm down already and leave?". He reprimanded, as he pointed down the street, where his jet was located. "My jet's right down this street, and I'd really appreciate it if you could cooperate and let me do some light testing on the both of you.". He continued, " But if neither of you are interested, I'm more than glad to leave this barren city. There's just nothing left to salvage."

"Oh as for your question, he hasn't told me his name. But he's supposedly half-alien and half-god, how true is either, I wouldn't know until after the tests. Also, you haven't told me your name either.". Nathan said as the trio began walking in the direction of his jet. "If you're coming along, bring the body of the civilian your gas asphyxiated to death along with you.". He muttered coldly.

The trio rounded up the rest of the scattered team as they led their three new companions onto Nathan's jet.

"The trip will take at least a few hours. We'll run tests after we head to our destination." Nathan paused, expecting his new companions to object, "I'll inform all of you of our destination when we're close to arrivel, I'd suggest we all catch a break. It has been an exhausting day." Nathan said as he retired into his room with Nicholas following behind.

Nathaniel's Jet, Hours Later

“Hey, I noticed you left the bed last night. You alright?” Nicholas questioned.

“Yeah, it was just the dream again, couldn’t get back to sleep no matter how hard I tried.” Nathan quickly brushed off Nicholas’ concern. He had no time to spare on an issue as petty as a dream. “Call the team for a meeting will you? I’m still a little drowsy”, he complained.

The team slowly awoke and gathered around the table drowsily.

“So what’s the plan boss?” Nicholas was the first to speak. “The thing the aliens spoke about, Dragonballs, sounds pretty interesting doesn’t it?”

“The Dragonballs, I thought they were a myth. S.H.I.E.L.D. thought they were a myth, but from what the aliens said, it isn’t.” Nathan contemplated going further, it sounded crazy even to him. “From what I’ve heard, the Dragonballs are pretty unbelievable.” He sighed.

“When all seven are put together, one wish would be granted, anything a man could wish for, it’d grant it.” Nathan cynically rolled his eyes. “God, I’m sorry, I must sound crazy as heck. But, if the aliens are looking for it, we can’t risk it the possibility of it being real.”. The team was confused and , besides Nicholas and Richard, none of them had heard the aliens, Nathan kicked Nicholas’ foot underneath the table, signalling him for help.

“Oh. Um.” Nicholas mumbled incoherently as he caught on. “I think we should heed Nathan’s instructions. None of you were there, none of you understood how tense the aliens were. They really wanted the Dragonballs, and from what we've heard, they aren't exactly daisies.” Nicholas paused as he scanned the team, they were still visibly apprehensive.

“The Earth is in danger. Whatever family you have, friends, or your bank accounts, whatever you treasure is in peril.” Nathan pressed on. “Earth depends on you now.”.

The team began to nod in unison as the potentially dire consequences dawned upon them. .

“Alright, our target is Augustin Gediminid.” Nicholas declared. “If anyone knows anything about the Dragonballs and its location, it’d be him. And thankfully, we had contact before.". Nicholas paused, "He's a pretty nice guy, but try not to step on any toes."

“The agenda's simple. We'll just head up and knock on his door."

"I'm not expecting any trouble, so please avoid starting any." Nathan said as he glared at his new companions.

It has two suns, blue grass and a green sky, at least as far as he can tell. It was quite far from Earth, in a whole other galaxy, but it would take seconds for his own experimental Einstein-Rosen drive. So, that's convenient. But he needed to fix some issues with it. It works, but it's effects on humans were far more than he needed. Oh, and scouter.

"Hmph. If that's the case, then we'll have to head there as soon as possible. We don't want the Saiyans gaining their wish. I still have a bit of work to do with my spaceship, but I'm sure I can head out fairly soon. Oh, and one more thing - this nice meeting didn't get you off my watch yet. So don't try anything stupid." As he said, Augustin headed out of the main room, and in a few minutes, he had already left the fortress, heading back to London.

It took fairly quick for him to get to his main manor in London. It was one of dozens, but it's the most furnished one. Like a prized diamond in his collection, it shined over the surrounding neighbourhoods. Figuratively. No to mention that it secretly was a super-laboratory. It was already early morning in London, and Augustin hasn't slept for long.

After landing in his backyard, the White Prince entered the home, placed the hand on the left door, and his armor went off of him in a trillion nano-pieces, re-materializing on an armor stand nearby. Such is tech in IJ. Afterwards, he placed the scouter that he held in his hand the whole time on a pedestal, and it literally sunk into it, being examined by the giant computer that is his home. One of the walls turned into a plate, bringing him a cup of coffee, then returned back. Nanobots. Nanobits everywhere.

Augustin sat down on his sofs, drinking the coffee and resting for a bit. The coordinates in the photo he took were examined and already put in the equation. Guess it's time to take the horizontal elevator to his launch pad five kilometers away.

Unless someone knocks on the door, of course.

The Jet slowly descended onto Augustin's courtyard, the deafening noise emitted by the jet's engine surrounded the landscape. As the Jet got closer to the surface, it jerked heavily towards the left. A loud 'snap' was heard as the wings pushed against a tree, "Damn it, Nick!", Nathan yelled.

"My bad!"

The jet had landed successfully, save for the fallen tree. The team and it's companions headed out to greet the Prince. They followed the path laid across the courtyard until they were greeted by a grand wooden door. Seems like he's as wealthy as ever, well, let's hope he'd ignore the tree, Nathan sighed, as he proceeded to knock against the door.

"Well, that is interesting." Sayaku mused as they left the ship. "Magic alien balls that grant wishes. And I thought I've seen everything. Can you explain who Augustin is for me?" The guy who Nathan said was a saiyan flew off after they landed, to everyone's confusion, but apparently it wasn't that great of a loss. No one liked him that much anyway, it looked like.

Nathan grunted frustratingly at the unmoving door. Just as he was about to knock again, he was interrupted by Sayako. "Who's Augustin?--", Nathan exclaimed sarcastically, "Where are you really from?" Nathan teased before transitioning into a more stern expression.

"He was the Crown Prince of Lithuania, until the coup happened." Nathan paused, "The coup might have ended his family's dynasty, but he's been growing in power ever since. Honestly, I'd be worried if it's anyone else, but he's seems like a fairly nice guy.", he explained.

If only he could be quicker at receiving guests though, Nathan wanted to add.

"Shall we call him?" Nicholas suggested, "Beats standing around waiting.".

"No.", Nathan sighed, "We should wait. After all, a Prince deserved to be treated with patience.".

"Wait, We're missing someone. Damn it Nick!", Nathan yelled as he noticed he was one alien short.

"How is that my fault?" Nicholas exclaimed.

"Ughh.", Nathan moaned, "It's always your fault Nick. Always.". Nicholas promptly fell onto the floor on his butt, patiently awaiting to be graced by Augustin's invitation.

And obviously, someone did knock on the door. It's like whenever you don't want someone to knock - they do. Well, it's just tempting fate. Actually, he heard two people knocking. Must be important. The man rose up from the couch, then walked up to a small table and gently pushed a button on the side, then he was suddenly teleported right in front of the main door.

Opening it quickly, he saw one familiar face and a few not that much. The one he knew was called Lisa, and he has a little bit of history with her. It's a story for another time. "Oh, it's you, Lisa? I wasn't really aware that you lived nearby..." Well, the more accurate term would be"wandering nearby". After all, she has no home. "Please, come in. It's cold outside."

Augustin moved to the side a bit to give room fir Lisa to enter, then looked to the others. He didn't know them. Maybe they are here with important news. Or maybe just travelling salesmen. Either way, they had a jet, which knocked down a tree. Normally it would be no problem, but it's morning and he's really grumpy at that time. "And you, misters... What did you came here for? I realize most people know I'm rather rich, but even I don't like it when people knock over my property."

Nathan was still sitting cross-legged on the floor as the door swung open. He was dumbfounded as the Prince stared intently at him. Nathan, completely struck unprepared, clumsily rose up and nudged Nicholas' with his shoulders.

"Prince Augustin-- Or Augustin. Whichever you prefer.", Nicholas greeted. " My team and I simply wish to get some answers regarding the recent alien invasion.". The Prince remained silent, "The one we knew you were at." Nicholas added, hoping to invoke a response.

Nathan shifted his glance between Richard and the Prince, he had been careful to avoid offending the Prince before, but he understood they had little choice. They desperately needed answers.

How is that possible. They know more tha an average man, no doubt. And the fact that came here with a jet, specifically targeting him...

"Who are you two, and how do you know about the Dragon Balls?" Augustin asked while being quite surprised.

Nathan quickly manoeuvred between Richard and Nicholas and promptly stood in front of the Prince. Nathan hastily introduced him and and his team. "I'm Nathan, I'm the owner of this fine team. The guy with the muscles' Richard, and the one who spoke to you before you tried to slam the door on us' Nicholas." Nicholas paused before he remembered the rest of his team,

"The rest aren't important. You can just call them Goon 1, 2, 3 and 4" Nathan said as he pointed respectively to Teresa, Jordan, Samuel and Amy. They each rolled their eyes in annoyance. "The other two aliens behind me are simply following me, I promised to help them better understand their powers, they should be capable of introducing themselves.".

"I formed this team a couple years ago. I founded it on the core values of protection, and I plan to uphold it." Nathan explained.

"My team has intelligence on just about every threat concerning Earth. We've come across information regarding Dragonballs once, but we quickly dismissed it as myth as any sane person would. This alien encounter however, has proven otherwise. I hope our intentions are aligned, Prince Augustin. Aid us in our cause to protect Earth.". Nathan declared as he extended his hand forward, "So what do you say, Prince?".

Augustin slowly examined the group. Well, there were more than two people here, but not all are equally important. This group was quite interesting. They were also heroes, just like him. Or at least the secret identity of him. If they are what they say they are, then perhaps he can trust them.

"Fine. Follow me. I'll tell you what I've found." Augustin simply stated and then walked to a teleporter next to the door, typed the coordinates - the launch pad - while at the same time adding the others into the command, and as soon as he pressed a large blue button, he and the entire group at the door, as well as Lisa for some reason, were teleported to his secret base, five kilometers away.

Augustin and the others appeared in something that looked more like Baikonur than the outskirts of London. There were dozens of scientists working on multiple floors on the thing on the center - a large disk-shaped space ship. That's what he was planning to use ti get to Namek. Augustin walked up to one of the short scientists and asked:

"Did you analyze the coordinates yet, Dr. Brown?"

"Yes, yes, we did, they are already in the spaceship." Brown spoke with a strong Hispanic accent. "In theory, you could fly to Namek right now, but we still have some work to do."

"Obviously. Take your time, but I want to get there as fast as possible." The scientist nodded and walked away, and the Prince turned to the group. "This is my territory. You should not be allowed to be here, but I made an exception. See this thing in the center? I designed it myself." He walked up to a short pedestal, and it rose up and showed a hologram of the Dragon Balls.

"The Dragon Balls can grant a single, undeniable wish. Almost anything. Money, power, death to someone, resurrecting someone... but as soon as you use them, they scatter around the planet again. Not to mention that there is a password, which summons a dragon deity from the balls. It's the one that grants the wish."

"The Saiyans are here for the wish. However, there's something else that is interesting. It's not the only set of Dragon Balls in the universe. Maxwell, Mad King of Ur, discovered a planet which also has a set. Luckily, the ones on Earth are secured, but we don't know about the ones on that planet, called Namek." A hologram of Namek appeared. "That's what I needed the spaceship for - to travel there and secure them. If they fall into evil hands, like the Saiyans - it's game over. So, any questions?"

Nathan was struck with awe as he and his team tailed Augustin into a teleporter pad. The backdrop quickly transformed into that of a hangar, with dozens of scientist hastily rushing to and fro the centre of the compound. As they got closer, the team realized it's project. A ship, Nathan realized.

Nathan nodded quietly and allowed the Prince to explain the Dragonballs to him and his team. As he stood there listening, he was almost instantly tempted, "resurrecting someone...", Nathan allowed the Prince to finish before he interjected.

"How would resurrecting someone work? Would they be alive, or just, there?", Nathan stammered at the last word, "like a mindless husk", he continued to elaborate.

Nicholas hastily grabbed Nathan by his shoulders, "Nathan." he called.

"Oh--Right. Sorry." Nathan quickly apologized as he brushed off Nicholas' hand and continued speaking.

" I would like to request for me and my team to come along.", Nathan declared. "If Mad Max is there, and the aliens who attacked East City, you'll need as much firepower as you can get.". Nathan paused as he glanced at his team. His team, although seemingly unpowered, were all armed to the teeth. Each carried stolen S.H.I.E.L.D. Energy Blasters, and a pair of light plasma grenades, and each of them were well-trained and ready to act. They were the very epitome of an elite force, albeit, slightly less traditional.

Finland SSR wrote:"Now then. If you're already here and you want a ride, then you'll need to help us. We need quite a few hands at the 15th floor - they're currently working on the chassis. Take the elevator to the left, it'll take you there in a few seconds, then tell the scientists there that I sent you to help. Got it? Now go!" Afterwards, the Prince flew off to his personal laboratory, where he will start working on the scouter, perhaps adding it to his armor.

"Of course.". Nathan responded as he grabbed Nicholas' hand and led his group forward. As soon as Richard was sure he was no longer in Augustin's hearing distance, "Then tell the scientists there that I sent you to help. Now Go! Blah, blah blah," Richard mimicked, "God he's pretentious.".

Nicholas immediately glared at Richard, "Richard, stop.", he commanded with a stern voice. "Besides, We've tolerated Nathan for so long, we'll get used to the Prince soon.", Nicholas teased as they entered the elevator.

Nathan was about to kick Nicholas' shin in retaliation just as the elevator jerked alive at a ridiculous velocity. Nathan yelped as he fell onto the floor, resulting in his entire group laughing hysterically. They each proceeded to lose their balance and fell onto their bums, the group continued laughing in unison as they crawled back up. As everyone stopped laughing, Nicholas sighed.

"I just realized, we haven't had fun together in long while.", Nicholas said. The elevator screeched to a halt before anyone could respond.

As the elevator door opened, they were greeted by a woman dressed in a white lab-coat, "Afternoon, My name is Aldona, and Prince Augustin have instructed me to guide you to the parts of the Chassis which requires help". The lady began striding ahead, signaling the group behind to follow.

As Nathan and his group stood in front of the Ship, they realized exactly how huge the craft was. "I don't think we can help." Nicholas muttered to Nathan.

"I'm sure we can find something to help with." Nathan replied as he hastily signaled for an engineer idling nearby. "Hey, Is there anything specific you need help with? Richard can help with any heavy lifting you need.".

"Uhhh. I guess we need some steel bars to be lifted and brought over to the other side.", the hunchbacked engineer mumbled.

"Great!" Nathan exclaimed, "Richard! You heard him.", he instructed.

Richard reluctantly dragged his feet across the floor as he slung a couple steel bars across his shoulders. "Ugh." He moaned, "Where do you want this?" He asked the engineer. The engineer promptly signalled for the steel bars to be brought across the floor, in the opposite side of the Chassis. Richard grunted as he lifted forward, with the group following leisurely behind him.

Augustin nodded as Lisa replied to his question. He was quite busy right now, with his whole armor upgrade stuff. It looked like it will soon be over and he can do whatever, when suddenly his armor pinged and a hologram came up, telling him that the work on the ship is complete. "Oh, already?" he said as he pushed a button on the side, telling the lab to continue working on autopilot and transport the armor to the ship.

"Well, Lisa, this will be the beginning of a new story. Story of Namek. Have you ever experienced the thrill of walking on a plane or a ship the first time? It's beautiful." Augustin dialed the coordinates of teleportation and checked all of the crew members, as well as everyone who wants to enter the planet, to be subjects of teleportation, then pressed the blue button.

The group all at the same time appeared on a large bridge between the command center and the spaceship, named "LSS Imperia". It was a donut shaped, 300 meters in diameter long behemoth, capable of carrying over 1,000 people at the same time. And it has basically everything for survival - food, water, training rooms, toilets, wormhole drives - almost everything.

"Now then. Sorry about that, I needed to gather all of you up to explain some things." There were at least 30 people here, including people who run the ship. "Especially to the newcomers. This beauty behind me is LSS Imperia, and is the ship we'll be getting to Namek with. Rules are pretty standard - don't touch the controls, don't wander off and stuff. If you ever flew a plane, you know what to do. Except you can keep your phones on - they don't bother me. There are 250 rooms for four, but most of them will be empty. There is a gravity room for the Saiyans out there, it can go up to 250 G. However, don't get used to the layout too much - the trip will take an hour at most. And that is also counting the stop to the local Walmart."

"Jokes aside, got it? If you fuck up and die in the depths of space, then you are no longer my problem. Less people to feed." The many scientists and engineers all rushed into the spaceship, taking their seats and preparing for launch. Augustin was waiting for others to enter.

"Wow, That's a tad cold, don't ya think,", Nicholas muttered to Nathan, as they stand inches away from the ship's entrance.

"Well, let's get going then." Nathan said as he tugged at Nicholas' sleeves and they began to lead their group forward. "Stop pulling my shirt." Nicholas mumbled.

"So..." Nicholas paused as their surroundings transitioned to that of a high-tech ship. "Did he imply that he wants us on the ship's control, or did he imply that he doesn't want us to touch anything?".

"Do you remember crushing his tree back at his home? Yeah, I doubt ' If you ever flew a plane, you know what to do.' applies to us today.", Nathan responded. "We should just head to our dorms, and prepare for Namek."

“You heard him. Everyone suit up.” Nathan commanded.

The trip was shorter than Nathan expected, even S.H.I.E.L.D. haven’t had access to such technology.

“We’ll all be in separate pods, but we should all be landing in the vicinity of one another.”. Nathan paused for a moment as he made sure that they were far enough from the rest of the group. “Remember, our main objective is to identify and terminate threats to Earth. Don’t do anything I haven’t warranted. I’m still your leader.” Nathan reminded his team.

While the rest were still suiting up, Nathan tugged at Nicholas' spacesuit and signalled him aside.

“What do you think of the others.” Nathan questioned.

“They seem pretty fine.” Nicholas muttered.

“I brushed past Augustin’s shoulder just now. He’s hiding somet—“.

“Hey, the rest are asking if we’re expecting hostiles.”, Richard suddenly interjected.

“What? What a bunch of pansies, just tell them that there wouldn’t be anything we can’t handle.” Nicholas instructed.

Nathan looked around the ship as he processed what Nicholas had said. He had just realized how much power Augustin had actually recruited. Most of the crew on board were heroes, and fighters. Why would he require so much firepower? He thought. I’m just overthinking things again, all will be fine, Nathan assured himself as he leaned back into the pod. The pod screeched slightly as the door slid down. The coordinates had been pre-set, and he and his team were ready to descend onto Namek.

The pod crashed through Namek's atmosphere and landed with a loud crash. It skidded across the green Namekian landscape for several meters before coming to a halt. As Nathan's space pod halted, Nathan's head violently knocked against the back of seat. "Gah, Fuck!" Nathan yelled as he reached for the button to release himself from the seat. The door jerked upwards and Nathan pulled himself out of the pod. Nathan moaned as he struggled to lift his bum out of the pod before being helped up by Nicholas.

Nathan quickly glanced around and realized that his team were already out and scanning the surroundings.

"God I hate space travel." Nathan whined.

"Same." Nicholas muttered in agreement before they both stood up and admired their surroundings in awe. Nathan and his team had seen images or videos of other planets, but none were as serene as Namek. Namek was littered with blue grass and to the east Nathan spotted a glimpse of a green ocean. Thin, tall trees with purple crowns grew sparsely on the land, and tiny frog-like animals hopped from one rock, to another.

"The base Augustin told us about should be this way." Nathan said as he pointed forward, "Let's go.".

Nathan and his team dusted the Namekian grime off their jackets as they reached the centre of the base. The base resembled a small town, and were composed mainly, of three buildings. As Nathan glanced around he noticed Augustin floating above the ground, obscured slightly by a thin layer of fog.

"Hey!" Nathan called out, "Which building should me and my team settle in?"

Nathan was examining the unfamiliar environment until he saw silhouettes far into the mists. Augustin began to yell and Nathan wondered what it was before he recognized the sound of a marching squad, running towards the base. He quickly commanded, “Positions! Aliens! Assume they’re hostile!”.

"Take cover in the building over there!" Nicholas yelled as he signalled towards the building to their left.

Nathan and his team quickly sprang into action and dashed into the base, they crawled against the wall standing between themselves and their enemies, but before they could take positions inside the base, they were already quickly fired upon. The windows above shattered as bullets of energy pelted against them. The base’s walls shook as it stood against the repeated blasts. They were cornered, if they stood up and attempted to retaliate with their own shots, they’d be blasted. Only Richard could withstand the blasts.

Richard stood up and leaned against the wall, and Nathan tossed him a spare energy pistol. He quickly fired several rapid shots through the shattered windows and the proceeding screams indicated at least a few of the shots struck. He was struck twice as well, but the scorch scars healed in almost an instant. He had managed to take out enough aliens to force them to take cover behind a pile of Namekian rocks.

“We won’t be able to get them from here.” Richard informed the team, “I can take them all out, alone, if I charged out.”

Nathan considered what Richard had said. He’d seen what Richard was capable of, and he was confident that Richard had faced stronger enemies.

“Go for it.” Nathan responded.

Part 1:

Richard:
Richard braced his right arm and charged forward. His body forcefully breaches the enemy line. Three of the soldiers lost their balance and fell onto their backs. Richard slammed his hand down straight onto a purple-skinned soldier’s neck, and lifted him by the neck. The soldier grabbed Richard's arm and squirmed and begged as he was lifted even higher before being slammed into the ground with a loud thud. Richard dropped his body and grunted at the surrounding soldiers, who were momentarily distracted by their comrade’s demise. Richard glowed hot-red as he yelled at his remaining enemies. The air around him blurred as he began to radiate heat. The cries of the alien soldiers quickly filled the air, as he released plumes of flame on his enemies, leaving only charred corpses.

“Fuck these bitches.” Richard spat, but just as he was about to return triumphantly to the base, his sides flared up in agony. Richard lost his balance and was knocked aside. He moaned as he clutched his sides and struggled to get back up. What the fuck did that, he thought. As he looked up, he saw the culprit. The beastly alien was at least twice the size of Richard. He had spotted dark-blue skin, a face resembling that of a bull's and was dressed in the same garb as the dead soldiers. Richard clenched his teeth and prepared to retaliate.

The monster released a deafening cry as it charged head first, Richard tried desperately to push himself away, but he quickly fell to his knees. Richard howled as he was struck and pushed back against a tree. The tree snapped at the weight of Richard’s body. Richard‘s glow began to dim as he struggled once more to crawl back onto his feet, but just as he grabbed the side of the fallen tree for support, the monster leaped and landed on Richard’s back. Richard opened his mouth to scream, but no sound managed to escape. The monster stomped repeatedly on Richard’s back. Each time the monster struck, Richard would attempt to push himself back up. The monster continued until Richard stopped struggling.

The monster reached down and lifted Richard by his hair. “I'm going to destroy you.”, the monster whispered. Richard wrapped his hands weakly around the alien’s grip, and begged, “No, please.”, he muttered before being slammed head first into the ground. The ground shook at the force of the impact. Richard’s arms twitched one last time before it fell limp onto the ground.

Nathan:
Nathan shuddered at the sight of Richard’s onslaught. This was the exact reason why Nathan recruited Richard, he’s a wrecking ball, capable of taking out entire squads of enemies by himself. Nathan hid his smirk as Richard burnt his enemies alive, he secretly enjoyed seeing his enemies suffer.

Nathan noticed a silhouette at the far east of the battlefield, it was partially hidden underneath the layers of ash and dust in the air. The figure grew bigger and bigger until it emerged violently out of the cloud of ash and dust.

Nathan thought Richard was aware of the impending alien, but as Nathan glanced back at Richard, he realized Richard was walking back towards them with a snarky grin on his face. Nathan was taken aback as Richard was thrown across the battlefield. The monster wasn’t like the goons Richard and the team had faced, he was bigger, and stronger. Nathan hand instinctively grabbed onto Nicholas. Nicholas was also visibly worried. Nathan gasped as Richard was once again thrown backward, landing on a tree. “Fuck.”, Nathan muttered as he finally realized how terribly outmatched Richard was.

Nathan begged Nicholas, “We need to do something, please.”, but Nicholas and his team behind him was stiff with fear, their body shook each time Richard was pushed into the ground and Nathan released a soft yelp as Richard fell for the final time. They were no longer watching Richard’s onslaught.

“We need to—“ Nathan wanted to instruct the team to help Richard, but fell silent as the monster lifted its face and grinned right at Nathan. Nathan’s eyes widened in terror, his face frozen in a glassy stare of horror and his stomach turned to ice. Nathan tightened his grip around Nicholas’s arm. His team behind him frantically tried to shut the doors, but it was stuck. Nathan’s breathing intensified as the monster strode closer.

Part 2:

Nicholas:
Nicholas stuck his head through the shattered window and looked to the sky, the heroes were far away and occupied with their own battles, none of them noticed Richard’s defeat. As the monster was getting closer, Nicholas pushed Nathan’s hand aside and stepped forward. He took a deep breath and shut his eyes, I have to do this, I have to do this, I have to do this, he chanted silently. He felt Nathan tug at his sleeves as he upholstered his blaster. “No.”, he heard Nathan mutter.

Nicholas opened his eyes and rapidly blasted two shots at the monster, both shots struck the head but they only managed to blind it temporarily. Realizing this was his only window, Nicholas pushed Nathan away and dashed forward. The monster swung its arms wildly in the air as Nicholas slid under him. Nicholas raised his blaster and took aim at the monster’s back, but just as he was about to fire, the monster turned and lunged. Nicholas hopped onto the monster’s head and leapt off it, and the monster howled in frustration.

The monster chased after Nicholas as Nicholas fired two more shots at its head. It wasn’t fazed. Nicholas ran desperately as the monster slammed its fist down, shards of the broken earth flew in every direction. Nicholas’ breath was running thin, every breath he tried to take was like fire being forced down into his lungs. His vision began to blur, he wasn’t sure how long he could continue this game of cat and mouse. Nicholas continued running back as the monster stroke relentlessly, showing no signs of fatigue. A thud was heard as Nicholas’ back hit a wall. He had nowhere else to run.

Nathan, he reminded himself as he waited for the monster to attack. As the monster lunged downwards Nicholas leapt over and onto the monster’s back. This time, Nicholas refused to let go. The monster swung wildly in frustration. “Little vermin!”, Nicholas heard it shout. Every muscle in Nicholas’ arms felt like they were on fire, but he persisted. Nicholas released his left grip and reached towards his pockets. Nathan, he reminded himself once more. The monster began yelling furiously, “GET OFF ME YOU-“ it stopped yelling as Nicholas stuffed a plasma grenade into the beast’s maw.

Nicholas prepared to leap away from the beast but just as he braced himself, the monster gripped tightly onto Nicholas’ right arm. A loud crunch resonated in the air, blood from his arm oozed between the monster’s fingers and Nicholas’ eyes widened in terror and howled in pain. God, no, he pleaded. The monster refused to loosen the grip. Nicholas screamed as he was flung far across the battlefield.

“How are you feeling today Nicky?”

“It's Nicholas.” He demanded. He had been in this ward for over 2 months. “And same as always.” He said. The nurse stared at him for a moment before deciding to comfort Nicholas.

“Don’t worry. You’ll be fine.”

Nicholas knew she was lying. He had been admitted into the hospital thrice in the last 6 months. Each stay longer than the next. He was an orphan, and the agency he was situated in didn’t have enough money to provide treatment and the donation campaign they planned failed horribly, no one showed up and he’s depending on the government for this bed. He wasn't this depressed when he was first diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia.

During his first stay in the hospital, he had many visitors from the orphanage, his friends insisted on visiting every two days, and his administrators back at the orphanage visited almost every day, it almost felt like he had a family. However, the numbers of visitors he had dwindled during his second stay. The last card he received was months ago, lying in trash somewhere. Nowadays, during visiting hours, Nicholas would just lay down with his face in the pillow, some days he’d try to block out the chatter, others he’d pretend that they were talking to him.

One day, as he struggled to block out the surrounding mumblings, he heard the voice of a young boy. “Daddy, where is his family?” Nicholas pretended he hadn’t heard anything and continued to face away. “That boy’s just like how you were, before you came home with me.”, he heard an older man say. Nicholas couldn’t hear any responses from the boy and he thought they had left until he felt a tug at the corner of his sleeve. “Hey.” The boy called. Nicholas continued to face the other way, pretending to be asleep. “Hey, are you awake?” Nicholas ignored him and the boy left.

A week later, Nicholas had long forgotten about the boy. “You know, you’ll feel a lot better if you don’t sleep all day.” The nurse chided. Nicholas turned away, and the nurse left after finishing her duties. “Hey.” Nicholas turned back and wanted to yell, “Go aw—“. It was a boy—The boy from the week before. Nicholas stared at the boy, confused and slightly annoyed. “Hello.” The boy muttered. Nicholas looked around for his dad but couldn’t find anyone resembling the boy. “Why are you alone?” Nicholas questioned. “No I’m not.” He replied, “My dad’s over there”, he said as he pointed to a blonde Caucasian male, probably in his 30s. Nicholas finally realized what it had meant by “just like how you were”. “Hello”, the boy repeated. Nicholas furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. “Hey.” Nicholas eventually replied. “My dad said I should speak to you, he told me you needed it.” Nicholas didn't enjoy pity, “Go away, I need to rest.” Nicholas scolded.

“But you rested all day!” the boy retorted. “My dad said everyone needs someone to talk to. Come on, let’s talk!”

Nicholas turned away and pretended to fall asleep, hoping the boy would leave.

“Alright, you can just listen. I’ll do the talking.”

“Well, I guess we can start with how my day was. It went really badly and I’m really sad, dad didn’t let me have MacDonald’s for breakfast. Told me I’ll get really fat. I told him I didn’t care though, but he still said I should watch my weight, but I’m as light as a feather! I really don’t know what he’s talking about, he talks a lot, but I like it when he talks……” The boy rambled on relentlessly until he finally stopped. “Oh, my dad says we have to go, I’ll come back tomorrow.” Nicholas rolled his eyes, but as he did, he hid a smile.

That following night his entire body flared up and seared in agony. He tried to scream or press the nurses’ button, but his body froze up in agonizing pain, it felt like his body was being torn apart, cell by cell.

-

Nicholas waited a whole day for the boy to come, but by the last hour of the visiting period, he gave up and decided that the boy won’t be visiting him. “Hey!” He immediately tried to hide his smile as the boy greeted him. “Sorry I’m late!” he panted, “My dad said I should get you a card, said it’d make you feel better.” The boy said as he placed a card onto Nicholas’ arm.

“Um thanks?”

Nicholas replied. Just as Nicholas was about to pick the card up to read, the boy screamed. “You spoke! You spoke!”

Nicholas immediately blushed at the scene the boy was making. “Sssh, yes, I did, quieten down, please.” He pleaded.

“Sorry!” the boy apologized immediately. “By the way, Nicky—“.

“It’s—Nevermind.” Nicholas didn’t mind.

“Since we’re talking now, my name’s Nathaniel, but most people call me Nathan, my dad calls me his personal dumbass though.” Nathan joked.

Nicholas smirked as he teased weakly, “Well, I guess you’re pretty dumb sooo”.

Nathan exploded into laughter and responded, “You’re funny, Nicky.”. They continued talking until the visiting hours were over.

Nicholas was visited by Nathan almost daily from that point. Nicholas was at first reluctant to elaborate on his condition, but Nathan insisted on knowing. Nathan became quieter that day, but the following day he ran past all the other beds and exclaimed, “My dad said he’ll fix you!” Nicholas world stopped spinning for a moment. “What do you mean?” Nicholas hastily questioned. “My dad said he’s hired special doctors to heal you. The doctors will start next week! My dad said something about chemo something.”. Nicholas couldn’t believe it, but it really was happening, there’s actually a chance he’d be cured.

-

It was his final cycle, and the doctor had just announced that he’s body is a 100% cancer free. He was supposed to meet up with Nathan, to share the good news. He waited outside the chemotherapy centre, but Nathan never showed up. He received a call hours later while still waiting on the pavement across the centre. “Hey Nicky.” Nathan sounded gloom. “Hey, sup, where are you? I’m cured!” Nicholas exclaimed. “Good for you, but I don’t think I can hang out with you anymore, my dad got taken to jail, I’m going to be sent to a social welfare centre later today.” Nathan paused. “I’m afraid, Nicky. I think they’re taking away my dad for good.”. Nathan sobbed before he continued, “I need to go, they’re coming. I’ll try to call if they let me use the pho—“All of a sudden Nicholas found himself lying limp on the ground. He heard a voice similar to Nathan’s but slightly deeper.

“Nicholas. Wake up, Nicholas don’t die. Please, wake up.”, Nicholas was confused, he was cured, why would he die? “Nicky, Please, wake up.”, I’m fine, Nicholas wanted to reply, but no words would come out.

Nathan:
Nathan kneeled over Nicholas’ cold body. Nathan had rejoiced initially, he thought they had won, he thought Nicholas did the impossible, but as soon as he realized Nicholas wasn't moving, he lost it.

“Nicholas. Wake up, don’t die. Please, wake up.”, Nathan sobbed, his tears falling onto Nicholas’ face.

“Nicky. Please, wake up.”.

“You never loved him at all?” The voice asked.

“I used to, as a brother maybe, I think. But no. Not recently, and never the way he loved me.”

“And you never told him the truth?”

“No.”

“You never questioned your actions?”

“No.”

“Do you really believe your lies are justified?”

“Yes.”

“Why are you crying then?”

The Terrorist

"Rbbbt... Rbbbt..."

Pretending to be a space frog, just another day in the life of the Terrorist, Di'kllr thought to himself.

Di'kllr had enjoyed 3 months of peace and serenity before the entire village he resided in got massacred. He had shifted into a Namekian previously, and he managed to assimilate into the village community. Although the villagers were apprehensive to befriend him, he was still given a home and food. Di'kllr actually enjoyed the Namekian lifestyle, but some pink blob had a bad day and just decided to kill everyone, Di'kllr quickly sneaked out when he saw the pink blob's goons unholster their weapons, the screams he heard afterwards indicated he made the right decision.

Killing, killing, killing...What's with people and their obsession with killing? Di'kllr wondered. Di'kllr looked around before he continued hopping forward. He noticed a human-like being fly past him several moments ago, Di'kllr figured he'd go and take a look. Who'd ever suspect a frog?

Nathan

Nathan stared emptily at Richard’s face. He still couldn't believe what he had done or how he was feeling. He manipulated Nicholas into sacrificing his life for his own motivations. When he did it, he convinced himself it was mandatory. He couldn't stand looking at anyone, Nathan shut his eyes, hoping to disappear.

One life for the lives of many others, and eventually the end would justify the means. But as Nathan witnessed Nicholas being flung into the ground, he lost his conviction. His thoughts stopped attempting to justify his actions. Nathan's hand began to quiver as a torrent of emotions flooded his mind.

Could any end really justify this? He asked himself.

“He isn't budging.” Amy said.

“Carry him in, Richard. We can't leave him out here.” Teresa added.

“Samuel, Amy, bring Nicholas’ body and lay it down in the base.” Richard commanded, “I’ll handle Nathan.”.

"Poor kid." Nathan heard one of them mutter as Richard lifted him from the ground and carried him into the building.

Richard whispered to Nathan as he slung Nathan onto his arms, "I'm sorry, it was my fault. Please feel better."

The Terrorist

Di'kllr's little frog legs were sore from hopping, and he almost fell flat on his back just as he spotted a cluster of buildings. As Di'kllr got closer, he realized how oddly human the buildings were, but he quickly dismissed that thought and hopped furiously towards one of the buildings. Oh please let there be air-conditioning, Di'kllr begged.

As Di'kllr reached the entrance of the building, his suspicions were confirmed, apparently the humans are building settlements on Namek. He slowly glanced around, and examined his surroundings. He noticed the broken trees, damaged walls and alien corpses littered all over the ground, Another battle, musta been the aliens Di'klrr thought. Di'kllr quickly looked around once more, the land looked desolate, They must be inside.

As he entered the building, his attention was quickly drawn to a group of humans crowding around a table. His curiosity got the better of him and he decided to get closer. Di'kllr still wasn't able to see what was on the table but he manged to hear what the humans were speaking about.

"What should we do with Nathan?" The brown-haired human lady said.

"I'll try my best to speak with him." A human male with bleached-blonde hair and arms the size of a Skrull hollow-ball responded.

"Alright, the rest of us should get our rooms set up, and prepare for further instructions. Richard, I assume you'll be replacing Nicholas as our tactical leader?" Di'kllr couldn't see who was speaking, but it sounded like the voice belonged to a middle-aged lady.

"We'll see." The blonde human spoke before walking away from the table.

The remaining humans curiously closed their eyes and mumbled a few words inaudibly before leaving in separate directions.

Nathan

Nathan quickly ran into his room, his hands still quivering, his mind still flooded with emotions. Each time Nicholas appeared in his mind, the waves get more intense. He shut the door behind and quickly fell onto the floor, against the bed. His head physically hurt. It felt like every emotion that could possibly be felt had suddenly entered his mind, all at once. He spasmed repeatedly against the bed frame. He wanted to scream for help but no sound managed to escape. Just as he thought he was about to black out, Richard came charging through the door.

Richard quickly kneeled beside Nathan, and Nathan felt like he was had just been hit with a completely different wave of emotions. Richard grabbed onto Nathan’s back, trying to prevent it from hitting the bed frame, but as soon as Richard’s hand landed on Nathan, the emotions he felt amplified. Nathan struggled, he wanted to beg Richard to leave, his presence was only adding onto his pressure. “I…I… Can’t…Control…” Nathan managed to force out. Richard immediately understood what was happening.

“Nathan. Focus on your breathing.” Richard instructed. “Focus on the sound of your breath entering and exiting your body.” Nathan did his best to heed Richard’s instructions, “Focus only on yourself, and no one else.” Nathan shut his eyes and focused on his breathing. Only on myself, he thought to himself, only on myself. As the waves of emotions gradually stopped crashing against Nathan’s psyche, the spasms stopped.

“Nathan, what was that?” Richard questioned.

“I’m not sure.”

“You weren't even touching anyone this time.”

“I really don’t know, it started after Nicholas passed.” Nathan struggled to say his name.

“What started?”

“The emotions, it’s like I can feel everyone’s emotions, even without touching them.” Nathan paused. "It's overwhelming."

Richard

Richard stared at Nathan as he struggled to find the right words. Comforting people was never his expertise, Nicholas had always handled Nathan's problems. Richard sighed as he said, "If you want, I can bring you away, at least for awhile. If you get far enough, you should be able to avoid anyone else's emotions.".

"That sounds good, at least for now." Nathan responded as Richard helped him up. He clutched his back as it was still aching from hitting against the bed frame repeatedly.

"Let's go." Richard said as he proceeded to assist Nathan to the entrance. "Where to?" Richard asked as he gently lifted Nathan and braced himself to leap.

"North of here, there's something, it feels like serenity in it's purest form, it's comforting."

"Alright boss." Richard said as he leaped away.

Nathan

Nathan was puzzled, as Nathan got closer to it's source he realized that it wasn't a lack of emotions that was comforting him, it was like someone was radiating only calm emotions, and the closer Nathan got, the more at peace he felt.

"Stop shaking so much, you're making me feel like vomiting." Nathan chided.

"Are we almost there?" Richard asked, but just as Nathan was about to reply, they were suddenly greeted by a single mountain, that seemed like it soared through the sky.

"Where the fuck did that come from." Richard said as he looked above, staring at the mountain.

"It's here. The feeling I sensed, it came from the top of this mountain.".

"Of course I have to climb a mountain." Richard sighed.

Richard scaled the mountain with little difficulty, several leaps had done the job. As they reached the peak of the mountain, they were greeted by a tall white structure, standing by it's lonesome. "There." Nathan pointed at the building. Nathan quickly hopped off Richard's back and slowly walked towards it. "Whoever, or whatever's emanating what I'm feeling is inside." Nathan said. Just as Nathan was about to step into the building, a muscular alien with bright green skin lunged towards him.

"Gah, Fuck!" Nathan yelped. Richard quickly leaped forward and gripped the alien's hand, just as the alien seemed to be bracing for a second strike, they were interrupted by a voice that sounded like it belonged to an elderly man who's always short of breath.

"Nailllllllllllllll." A voice called.

"Naillllllllllll." It called again.

"Yes, Grand Elder Guru." The alien, Nail responded as he leaped back into the building.

"Let them in." Upon hearing Guru's instructions Nail promptly apologized and invited Nathan and Richard in. Nail continued to apologize repeatedly as the duo were brought forward and deeper into the building. As they got closer, they were greeted by an immense green figure sitting on what seemed like an enormous throne. Nathan instantly noted how morbidly obese figure was.

"I heard that." The figure said.

Great, another mind reader, Nathan thought.

"That too." The figure sighed. "I am Grand Elder Guru of Namek. I have sensed why you came.".

"I need--"

"I know what you need, and I see you being crucial in the events soon to unfold.", Guru said. "Come close, my child." He instructed.

Nathan glanced at Richard, Guru spoke cryptically, and Nathan was confused. "You too, fiery one, come." As Richard and Nathan stepped forward, Guru placed his hands onto both their heads. "This is all I can do to contribute to the coming conflicts, You have my blessing.". Before Nathan and Richard could ask what he had meant, they were instantaneously surrounded by a bright light.

Nathan was about to scream when his mind travelled to a white void. Images, sermons and visions formed lessons in his mind, and Nathan's mind was transported back into the building almost as quickly as it was transported away. Nathan and Richard stared at one another, both felt better than ever, stronger than ever. Nathan could finally control his powers, and Richard felt like he could lift the mountain. They both turned and faced Guru, "Thank you.", they said in unison.

"Go, you will aid in the salvation of my people." Guru declared.

Nathan

As Nathan made his way back to the base on Richard's best, he felt like screaming into the winds. His mind was clearer than ever, and he felt like his powers became an extension of his own arms. He was finally in control. Nathan knew Richard felt the same. His leaps doesn't make Nathan feel as nauseas any more, and each leap Richard made was at least 4 times as wide as they were before. They were ready to face any aliens that stood as a threat.

Nathan climbed off Richard's back as Richard landed right in the center of the base. "Seems like no one's back yet" Richard noted.

"Yeah, I don't sense anyone around other than our own team members.", Nathan responded, "Wait.", Nathan's attention was quickly diverted onto an idling frog, resting on a damp rock. Odd, Nathan thought as he felt deceitful intentions emanating from the frog, as far as he knew, frogs weren't capable of complicated emotions, not even the alien ones. Nathan squinted his eyes and examined the frog.

The Terrorist

Fuck, fuck, fuck, Di'kllr thought to himself. He had just been taking a nap on a cool boulder after a long day of hopping around, but he quickly found himself being proded by some human adolescent. Why would he suspect anything? Fuck, he's getting closer. Oh no. Oh no, he began to panic. As Nathan inched closer and closer, "Rbbbt." Di'kllr quickly croaked, hoping it'd be convincing enough for the kid.

The kid was startled and flinched in repugnance, but a man beside him pushed him aside and extended his hands towards Di'kllr.

Oh fuck.

"Just leave him in the container on the desk. A space frog would be fun to keep as a pet.", Nathan told Richard as they entered his dorm.

"A Frog? As a pet?" Richard questioned uncomfortably.

"Yeah, it'd be cool. Just leave him there." Richard quickly dropped the frog into the container before leaving Nathan's dorm. Nathan strode towards the keypad beside the door and keyed in a passcode, locking the doors. He walked slowly back to the table and stared intensely at the now visibly panicked frog.

"Alright. Show yourself." Nathan demanded as he uncapped the container, allowing the frog to roam the room. The frog hopped against the door several times before it sat tamely on the floor.

"Sure.I'll just have to do this then." Nathan said as he lifted his leg and aimed it at the frog. Just as his feet was about to land, a sandy voice shrilled from beneath his feet. The frog grew and transformed into an alien with green skin and pointed elf-like ears dressed in a black leather jacket and purple spandex trousers. "You just couldn't leave me alone could you." The alien derided as he dusted the grime off his jacket.

"A Skrull?" Nathan beckoned.

"What, you didn't know? I thought you were an all knowing wizard or something." The alien teased sarcastically before his smirk faded away. Di glared intensely at Nathan, "You either have to let me go now, or I'll have to murder you." he threatened.

"Why are you here? As far as I know Namek's not on the Skrull's agenda." Nathan continued to question as he ignored the alien's threat.

"I warned ya." The alien muttered under his breath as his arm shifted into a meter long spike. Just as he was about to lunge at Nathan, Di fell to his knees, gripping his chest, struggling to breathe.

Nathan arms were extended out, his glare focused on the alien crippled and twitching on the floor. He flooded the alien with waves of torment, agony and fear. "Why are you here?" Nathan asked again.

"Stop, please." He heard the alien beg. "Stop—"

"Just tell me everything, and I'll stop." Nathan insisted, "I promise."

Nathan's vision had just begun to blur just as the alien gave in, "Alright! Alright! Just stop. Please." Nathan's arms quickly dropped to his sides, his heart felt like it was about to give in as he tried his best to conceal his exhaustion. "I was a Skrull spy on Earth until I decided to betray the empire and leave. I'm on Namek to hide from the Skrullian authorities.", the alien spat out.

"A renegade Skrull, that's unusual." Nathan remarked, "Do you have a name?" he continued to ask.

"Di'Kllr." Nathan paused for a moment as he tried to pronounce the aliens name in his mind. Di-kill, Di-killer, Di-killjer "Alright, so Di it is then." Nathan decided. Nathan glanced at Di's expression, Di was upset, furious and Nathan knew he had every right to be.

"Di. I'm sorry for capturing you." Nathan declared. "But I'll offer you something you want, but in return, you'll assist me." The same line, everytime. Di snarled at Nathan. "A home, where you'll be undisturbed by the Skrullian enforcers." Nathan revealed.

"Where?" Di questioned hastily.

"Earth, you'll stay with my team." Di rolled his eyes as Nathan continued, "I have connections high up, Di. The Skrulls won't be able to get you if you're with me." Nathan assured the alien. "They'll leave you alone, and all you need to do is save Earth a few times. It would, after all be your home." Nathan convinced.

Di's expression lit up at the mention of the deal. if Nathan wasn't lying, he'd finally have a home. "How high up are your connections?" Di asked.

"Since you were ordered to do reconnaissance on Earth, I suppose you know who Director Nick Fury is?" Nathan responded.

Di's eyes widened with anticipation as he replied, "I'll do it.".
