August Carter-13 Yrs-Gotham City

The fact that the woman seemed to be smiling...creeped me out. She seemed to be able to defend and counter despite the two pronged strategy. As even as Chorus slammed into her, she maneuvered mid air and went right back on the attack. Using drum sticks as weapons, I started to wonder if all of Chorus' enemies used musical instruments as weapons, and a conspiracy theory that they were all just less skilled pop stars who could not get the fame Chorus had, so they resort to trying to kill her. Actually made sense to my child like mind. But my own block was not fast enough, and what I assumed were simple drum sticks, slammed into me, with a bone creaking pain that sent be flying through a wall.

Coughing among the bricks and dust, I picked myself up, and climbed my way out of the rubble, embarrassed by how that must have looked to Chorus, her bodyguard being sent reeling so easily. But a strange sight occurred when both Chorus and Janice seemed much...shorter...than I remember. I ignored the feeling and once more charged at Janice, this time moving at a speed far greater than the last time and throwing a wall shattering punch in her direction, as I noticed that my fist, was now covered in a red gauntlet. Revealing the armor I seemed to be wearing when I 'woke up’ and the fact that they were not shorter, I was in fact taller.

As Janice seemed to had accidently pushed me back into my....older August mode? Never mind, I will think of a cool name for it after I defeat Janice and impress Chorus I thought as my mind returned to the battle at hand.

Janice reeled from the strike, surprised by this development and taken off guard, Chorus took this as her opportunity, she sped towards the redhead and swung sideways with her blade. But she wasn’t aiming for Janice. She aimed for the wire of her headphones. She took her by surprise, and before she could even react her headphone wire was cut. And before she could even react to that she was cut completely in twain. Chorus quickly used her wires to lob the pieces away before August could have a chance to have a good look at them. (She didn’t want to traumatise him after all)

Chorus then turned around. She quickly mouthed ‘I can explain’ though she wasn’t sure if August would get that. Suddenly, her eyes turned red and she fell over groaning.

Verse then spoke.
Get her to safety. Spoke the blade. And yes she did just slice that woman in half, but don’t worry, she’s not dead. And yes I am a talking sword. The blade explained.

Mars
Mars had been ignoring Kiris' rant as he prepared to leave, not interested in arguing with her. Then she made a comment about his parents, and Mars stopped in his tracks. His mind filled with intense anger as he turned around and threw his helmet on the ground, revealing his face, which showed a mixture of anger, and deep seated pain. He glared fiercely at Kiris. "Don't you ever talk about my parents!" He shouted at her angrily. "You don't know anything about them, or me! SO JUST STAY OUT OF MY WAY! I don't need anyone alright? I'm better off alone!" He continued to shout. It didn't even seem like he was telling at Kiris anymore. He was yelling at the world. His greatest fear was that his parents wouldn't be proud of him, and Kiris had just plucked that nerve.

He was so angry and upset, that he was even having trouble thinking. He couldn't even remember how to fly in that moment so he merely grabbed his helmet and sat over on the ledge of the building, breathing heavily and clearly upset.

Kirisvala's intent with her childish rant had been precisely to get into Mars' nerves, in order to get back at him for hurting her feelings earlier, and so, she should realistically have expected him to react negatively to everything that she said. It was natural. However, the young Hadrian was not a machine, guided by logic, and so, though she should have, she wasn't expecting Mars to flip out like he did. She stopped flailing her arms around and flinched when the boy threw his helmet into the ground, revealing his face for the first time. Had the circumstances been any different, he would've made a great impression on the singing magician, but as it was, Kirisvala reacted with fear and regret as she looked into his eyes, which were full of anger that was directed, as far as she could tell, entirely towards her.

Hearing him begin to scream at her and everyone else present, she took a step back, suddenly startled by his fierce response, deeply regretting the words she had spoken to him. Had something happened with his parents? She should have known, she should have known better than to say something like that to someone she hadn't known for more than five minutes, figuratively speaking, but in her own anger, such consideration had slipped from her mind and now she had to pay for it. She didn't know what exactly had happened, naturally, nor why he was so angry, but the fact was that she had inadvertently caused Mars profound pain, and that was something that made her very sad and angry with herself.

Seeing him sit on the ledge of the building, she stood still for several moments, shocked, not daring to move. When she finally regained her bearings, she extended her claw towards him, as if attempting to reach out to him, taking a step towards him as well, but she stopped after that, knowing that his fury would likely only get worse if she tried anything.

"I'm... I'm..." She stuttered, more golden flowing forth from her tearducts, her eyes now watery with shining tears. "That was not.... not my..." She continued, her voice quivering, unable to finish sentences. Finally, she bit her lip and let her claw drop to her side. "I'm sorry." She managed to force out, before turning around and sitting by the opposite edge of the rooftop, hugging her knees with her massive claws and burying her face in her knees. She was doing everything she could to hold back the tears, but it was very difficult. She hadn't even been on Earth for a day, and already she had broken a friendship! How terrible was she?! She couldn't help it anymore and started sobbing very quietly, only hoping that the mood of the others wouldn't be brought down by her stupid scene.

"C-could someone get me a flask?" She asked softly.

Xyri saw Mars angry and Kiris sad, which made her upset. She looked at the one who was once furry and gently placed him on a building. “Please stop fighting…” She said gently. She turned to Mars. “I thought I was better off alone, but then I met you guys.” She explained. “I didn’t like you at first, you kept hurting me. But then you were nice. You helped me. We worked together to fight the orange things. Rantu right? And even if you did not need our help, we made it easier right?" She said, then nodded. "What I am saying is, you don't like us yet, but if you give us a chance. We will." She explained.

She the turned to Kiris. She reasoned she didn't need so many words. She created a smaller version of herself, at about normal Xyri height, and gave the alien a big slimy hug. She had seen humans do it to other humans who were crying, and it seemed to work for them. "Same for you. Give Mars time. Then you will be friends." She said optimistically.

Gilbert could feel his cheeks getting a bit red by now.

"Damn, her game is way better than yours."

"Oh, shut up. Aren't you supposed to be helping out that singer girl or something?"

"No? I'm a part of your mind, not your soul. But whatever we're doing over there I'm sure we're doing a good job."

Kick her redhead ass, Chorus!

"Right."

"Uh, I think you must've missed the part where most of my memories were made and implanted. I don't think I have a favorite place or path that I could show you, I'm afraid. I'd love to, but there just isn't." He said, a bit sheepishly. However, the fact that the alien woman seemed as interested in him as he was interested in her was encouraging, and so, quickly gaining confidence, the young man inched closer to her as he began to gently lead her down the street, smiling at her just as widely as she did. "Though I could definitely get behind some of the things you said. The night breeze sounds wonderful, and I wouldn't mind strengthening my bonds with a cute alien girl." He grinned, before turning his attention to the road ahead. He had for a moment forgotten where they were before fighting Ku, so he was somewhat surprised for a bit.

"Although... Well, Gotham isn't the best place to be if that's what we want to do. We should probably skip town, some unsavory things can happen in this city." He mused. Naturally, he wasn't worried about any harm coming to either of them; he could regenerate from any kind of wound and Aru could likely shrug off anything a Gotham thug could throw at her. But he didn't want any moments ruined, and that was what he feared was likely to happen. However, for the time being, he simply gave a mental shrug. "But I'm sure we can find somewhere to eat. If there's anything that binds mankind together it's our love for food." He stated, before seeing a cafe nearby and leading Aru towards it.

The people inside were understandably surprised to see someone walking in with a blue woman, but in their defense, as far as Gilbert was concerned, they didn't look as frightened or as hostile as they could've been. He supposed that, with everything going on in their city, they were just glad that it wasn't some sort of criminal kingpin walking in to make a set of ridiculous demands. With that in mind, he led his date to a table.

"I'll pay. I think I reformed my money when I came back to life." He said casually.

“I have some gold bars I can give them if you don’t.” She looked around at the people, not at their staring at her but more at their clothing. She frowned ever so slightly. “Is there some sort of dress code here? I might not have anything to match human clothing.” She commented, looking down at her Hunter clothes. “These are after all the only clothing I have.” She explained, mentally commanding her guns to retract so she wasn’t so much of a walking threat to the people and she merely became an odd fashion choice. She sat down, then smiled at Gilbert.

“So, what kind of food do they have here?” She asked. She then paused. “Also, if you don’t mind me asking, what was coming back to life like? I mean I’ve never done it before…”

The Republic of Atria wrote:"I don't think he's expecting someone to attack his brain." Naja said. "I'll get you in there and then get the freaky guy as far away from here as possible. The dragon one that is." She hoped, and flew at the Void with all her might and smashed him into the sewer system. She managed to hold him down for about 3 seconds before the Void smacked her out of it. "Ouch." She said as she caught her balance. "I hope you're in there Katie. It's all you. Fix my boyfriend and don't die. In any order."

"I'm gonna have fun with you when I'm done with wanna-be me over here! And why the hell are you attacking me?! I haven't even threatened to blow up the planet! Yet at least. He has though. Hit him instead." What surprised him was that Naja actually set her sights on Alastir with the intent of going after him. "I've got one thing you don't asswipe! Backup!" Void laughed.

Naja flew under the leg of the massive dragon Alastir created and grabbed it with enough force to split the Earth. She was not letting go. Then she dragged it through, grabbed Alastir by what she thought passed for a foot, and flew into space with all of her might towards the one thing capable of stalling them long enough for Katie to rewire Alex's brain. The Sun. "For the record! You're a huge asshole, but I'm sure as hell not gonna let you idiots blow up the planet! It's time to put you both in time out!" If what he said was true and killing him wouldn't be easy, throwing something or in this case, someone into the sun would sting. "Yeah... This is gonna suck for everybody. But Alex isn't exactly himself at the moment in the event you missed it."

Well if I die before your boyfriend is fixed, then we'll have problems. She transmitted to Naja, using electrons to give the right signals to the right place. Anyway, she began mapping the neural corridors of Alex's mind, trying to orient herself and figure out everything. This took all of one second. She got a rough idea of what was forcing GG to follow Sheild's orders, and began her neural rewrite with that in mind. She reconnected synapses, strengthening the part of the brain which dealt with independant decision making and weakening the conditioning that was given by sheild. She began erasing sheild programmed response in the memory section of the brain, isolating synapses to do with those. She was somewhat concerned about being found out, but she didn't let this stop her from doing what she came here to do. She was begining to tire however.

Almost done Naja...

The Republic of Atria wrote:"It's entirely possible you could've skipped being a dick. I mean seriously? What got you all riled up?" Obviously, she didn't exactly trust Alastir. With good reason, as he pretty much just tried to blow up the Earth. That and she didn't know how long it would take for Katie to fix Alex's brain. It wasn't like she could help her very much. She also didn't know that Alex had blown up one of his planets.

"Well." The Void said and watched as Naja carried Alastir and his pet away. "Now I get to have some real... What? What is this?" It was the feeling of dizziness. He couldn't control anything on Alex's body anymore. Not his arms or legs. Hell, it was a task and a half just to speak. "What... What did she do to me? This is bullshit! I just got back!" His grip on Alex's brain was slipping more and more by the second. "No! NO! I'm not through with you all! I'll be back! Mark my words! I'm coming back and you're all going to die!" It was then that the Void was purged from Alex's body as his consciousness began to make a return.

There we go! Just finish off a few things up here and... he should be as good as new. She quickly checked to make sure that everything was back to normal, and that the damage had been repaired. With any luck, Alex wouldn't be sheilds puppet for the forseeable future. If a collection of electrons which were somehow sentient could sigh with relief, they would have. (Authors note: There's a sentance I never thought I;d write.) Katie was however, hesitant to say the least. She might have to check up and see if she had screwed up. She addressed Alex directly. "So. Are you back to normal or do I have to force shutdown your ass." She joked. She would likely never try something like knocking him out considering she might screw up the work she just did.

She accelrated when she saw him, aiming to be right in front of him. If she succeded that, then she would empty her clip firing the high explosive sniper rounds at him.

Battle! Vs. Liberty!

Heh. This time I could see her coming from a mile away. That doesn't say much, though, as I flinged her away in hundreds... and a mile isn't much... It's a statement, okay? Made by weak stupid Earthlings who believed that a mile was a long distance. Where was I? Oh, right. While Liberty was coming, I checked my situation. My armor was still in the "ehh" zone of readiness. Could take a few hits. How is the Influx energy? ...Darn it. Not much. I can't win a battle of attrition - I must be considerably stronger to have a big chance of victory.

Anyway, as soon as Liberty transformed her flamethrowers into a sniper, I lifted my arm up, to the side, and stopped the weapon being hurled at me. It was tough... that weapon was actually not as light as I imagined it to be at first. Now, retaliate before she hits! But... I must conserve my energy... TO HELL WITH IT! If I want to win, I will win it here!

I raised my free hand and stretched out my palm, making an energy link with the air in front of it. Soon, a massive energy ball formed, an azure-ish one. "To Hell with you, Liberty! NOVA FLASH!" As I shouted these words, I cocked back my hand, formed a fist, and straight-up punched a massive energy wave out of the ball. The strongest attack I pulled out in this battle yet - it is explicitly strong enough to destroy an entire star! Hence the name. But... for some reason... I still held back...

WHY?! Why do I do this? I don't want her to live!...

The attack hit her, as it always fucking did it seemed. This time Liberty lost a hand. And this time Liberty was really pissed. With considerable speed, her very fastest she could possibly go, Liberty started an assault. With Chains acting as whips and vicious kicks and punches, Liberty was throwing enough attacks (hopefully) that they would be near impossible to all be blocked. She then went in for a direct tackle, planning to pin her opponent to the ground should it succeed.

Then, a man came out of the sky, floating down, surrounded by balls of energy. Instinctively, Jake moved in front of Kiris, his first response being to look macho and protect his new…friends? Allies? One-fight stands?

Whatever they were, Jake would protect them if this guy got belligerent. Not like the others couldn't fight as well, but the young genetic experiment wanted to be the first. So, in a deep, growly voice, he asked "Who are you, and WHAT do you want?"

And, of course, his voice cracked halfway through. Dagnabit.

Jamal instinctively raised an eyebrow at Jake's attempt to appear threatening, even though the gesture wouldn't be visible from behind his Nova Corps helmet. The kid had utterly failed his goal, and the voice crack hadn't helped one bit. Regardless, Jamal had no reason to antagonize the group, so he simply descended down and landed in front of Jake.

Even though he was now on ground level, Jamal found himself looking down about as much as he was when he was floating above them. Standing at 6'6, saying he dwarfed the kid was a huge understatement. "I'm Nova Corpsman #42739457, currently acting as Nova Prime." Jamal said this instinctively as well, as it was his usual response when greeting an alien race who did not know him, though the number of said races was quickly diminishing by the days. Thus, he failed to consider that this wouldn't mean anything meaningful to Jake.

One of the few people there who wasn’t dwarfed by Jamal then spoke, turning slightly to regard the new little person. “I ate a few animals. Then people attacked me. Then I spat animals out. Then Orange ships invaded with orange and blue people with guns and things and they began attacking me and new friends. New friends helped me fight orange ships and orange men, and I got really big by eating animals again (Sorry) and I smashed biggest of big orange ships and the other even bigger ships left.” She paused. “What’s a Nova?” She asked, leaning perhaps a little too close to Jamal for a big slime person.

The Republic of Atria wrote:"The man you're looking for is General Wade Eiling. Oops. that wasn't supposed to slip out." Fury said in a way where he was trying to sound like that wasn't supposed to be known, but he didn't care. The man got a planet destroyed and likely countless lives with it. "In the meantime. I think Goldilocks is having a seizure. He'll walk it off." Fury stated. "Coulson. Have they finished the paperwork yet?"

"That would be up to them sir." Hernan replied. The aliens that were on Earth were his ticket to exploring the universe. They had ships that could cross vast distance in a matter of minutes. And, the destruction of their world gave him a bargaining chip. While in Xavier's school, he learned about the Phoenix Force. They described it as terrifying, but something about it made him want to be the host. Many of it's previous hosts were unwilling, him? He actually wanted to be the Phoenix.

"Ouch..." Alex muttered after about 30 seconds of spazzing out on the floor. "Where..." He looked and saw the city which was obviously New York. Looking down, he saw he was wearing his old Golden Guardian outfit. "Why am I wearing this? And... Why do I feel like I'm going to vomit?" He wasn't sure who he was asking, but as soon as he stood up, he was dizzy, and then proceeded to vomit, which quickly turned into painful dry heaving when there was nothing left. Someone had some explaining to do.

"Oh... Well that explains a lot. At the very least, thank you for not being as big as a jerk as you could be." Naja said and flew back to Earth to see her boyfriend puking. "Are you in there?"

"I hope so."

"I was talking to Katie."

"I don't see Katie."

"She should be in your central nervous system." This earned her a well deserved "What?" look from Alex.

“Actually, I’m in the lower part of your spine, near your tail bone.” She spoke. Suddenly reforming outside of the other superhero, she sighed as she stretched slightly. “Dammit. Why are all you powerhouse types so tall? I’m going to get a complex hanging out with superheroes sooner or later.” She rambled, then smiled as she walked around to face Alex. “Hey! Remember me! I’m Katie. I occasionally work with your girlfriend and I just finished fixed your brain with electricity.” She paused. “Oh, and to get you up to speed, a bunch of people brainwashed you to become a sleeper agent, Stark activated you and you went around doing stuff for Shield. If you want more of the specific you’ll have to ask Naja.”

Human clothes were stupid. This was supposed to be a simple outing. Meet up with his daughter before Claudia arrived and simply speak to her before he had to return home. But instead, he was stuck here with these uncomfortable clothes. The pants these humans called jeans were too tight, the shirt was a god awful rust color and was tight across his chest.

" Daddy!" Grinning, Hiroshi turned to see the little girl sprinting from the entrance to the school, crossing the distance between them quickly, before jumping into his arms.

" Hey kiddo. How's school been?" His grin only grew wider as she excitedly babbled in his ear, Hiroshi having set her on his shoulders while he walked along the sidewalk.

" Well it's good to see you again kid," The Hybrid Sighed as he set his daughter down, getting down on a knee so he could eye level with her. " I've gotta get back to training."

" Your always doing stupid training." She muttered, crossing her arms and turning away from him.

The response made Hiroshi stiffen, his jaw becoming tight. As much as he wanted to spend the day with her, Claudia would be here soon and it'd be terribly awkward to speak to her. It was hard to watch his daughter be like this, but it was best for all of them.

" Fine." He conceded, ruffling his daughters hair.

Imesietly light shine behind the girls golden eyes. Nervousness and anxiety quickly replaced excitement as she nervously watched Hiroshi scan over the drawing. It was easy to decipher two of the figures. It was him, his hair golden and pointing skywards, with a blob he assumed to be representing Tomia. Off to the side, a figure made Hiroshi stiffen, a red haired woman with a giant smile plastered across her features.

" You see." Tomia said, stepping forward slightly and shaking with nervousness." There's me. You as a Super Sandwich and Miss Claudia! She watches me and her and her friend help me with my homework and take me to the park. I made it for you!"

Hiroshi swallowed as he gently pushed the picture back to his daughter, the crayon coming off on his fingers. Sighing he ruffled her hair gently, pulling her in for a hug.

" Thanks kid, but I'll come back later and get that picture, there's... there's no room for it in my apartment." He lied, sweating nervously.

Standing, he pulled his jacket up, flipping collar up while he quickly maneuvered away from Tomia, just as Claudia entered the school yard.

Claudia walked towards Tomia, bags under her eyes from lack of sleep. She had been working hard and had many a sleepless night. Her job in construction was not the most glamorous, it wasn’t physically demanding, seeing as she could not get tired and had lifted heavier things than the building she was working on in her sleep, but it was mentally draining to have to hold back so much to avoid crushing things. She sighed as she got to Tomia, trying to make herself look slightly less bedraggled. She knelt down so that Tomia wouldn’t have to crane her head so high.

“Hey Tomia. How was school?” She asked, she smiled a tired smile. She was more tired that angry since the Hiroshi incident as she called it now.

"Gold bars?" Gilbert asked, incredulous, and then chuckled. "Well, you're just full of surprises aren't you?" He said, before leaning back in his seat and answering her question. "Well, coming back... It wasn't anything that impressive, from my perspective at least. It was the same as every other time. I didn't see God, if that's what you're asking. It first goes as it usually does: I go through the motions of dying, pain, loss of senses, all that good stuff, organs shutting down one by one. But apparently my consciousness is tethered to some cosmic force, so, I can still think and use my powers to reform. It was more or less the same with Ku; that death was simply a tad more gruesome than the others." He said with a shrug.

It was only after he'd finished his explanation that he noticed the seemingly very scared and weirded out waiter who had a pair of menus on his hand. Gilbert nonchalantly took them from him and dismissed him with a gesture, with the man very quickly scurrying away. The young man then took one of the menus and handed it to Aru, keeping another for himself. "And that's the kind of food we have over here. If you have any questions you can ask me, I'm no expert gastronomer but I like to think I know my way around fast food. And once we're done here, we can go get you some more fitting clothes. You know, if you want." He said, remembering that she'd displayed some apprehension about being dressed a lot differently from everybody else around, even when what made her noticeable was not so much her clothes as the fact that she was blue. He did wonder how she'd look like in more casual clothes.

"If you've ever been stranded on an alien world with no weapons, bars of gold are more likely to help than regular credits." She remarked. "You only have one god? Interesting..." She remarked. Aru then shrugged. "It must have been somewhat hard to die." She commented, rather grimly. One might hget the feeling she was perhaps speaking from experience. It made sense, considering her profession, she had been trained to consider her own death from the very first day. "It was... rather hard when you did die. I had gotten quite attached to you." She commented, smiling slightly. "I'm glad you came back. Not just for our sake, but for your own. Considering what happened, you of all people deserve a second chance." She explained. She was not at all unaware of the irony of saying this to someone who had, in reality, died many times. It merely had never stuck until now. She decided to go with the lighter flow of the conversation and opened her menu.

Reading through it confused her. She wasn't really sure what to pick exactly. She looked up to gilbert with a sheepish look. "I... am not sure what any of these are..." She paused, then shrugged. "Which would you recommend? I'm really not too picky." She remarked. "I went nine days eating nothing but Gron meat. Which has the consistency of radioactive waste and tastes twice as bad."

Charmera wrote:Tina noticed two bodies as the centre of his conflict. In a moment, her mind clicked back to Zephy and an unlocked memory. She remembered Ember, her eternal memory recalling the fire archon. She also noticed a watery figure standing atop a platue of ice, next to a dragon.

"Aqua... That's her name? How do I remember that?" She asked herself. There was no answer.

Zephy & Ember

The fight went on for a bit longer with no avail to both sides. Ember was loving it because it was drawing in a crowd, Zephy was aggravated by it as every unsuccessful attack just got her more and more annoyed. In all honesty she had absolutely no clue why the hell she was fighting any longer, all she knew was that she wanted to continue the fight.

Some attacks later, Zephy had finally noticed the other Archons, Tina specifically, and as if by instinct she flew straight at her, avoiding Embers attacks or completely ignoring them depending on the size and what her instinct told her. At arriving at Tina she said a quick "Hi, Zephy needs your help." and before a response could be given, instinct took over again and she seemingly flew inside Tina. After a giant spectacle of winds and flying earth, with Zephy and Tina at the center of it, the elements settled down and a new figure stood where before Tina and Zephy were.

Ember was weirded out but didn't really care, the spectacle had to continue so she flew straight at this new being. Unfortunately for her this new being simply waved her hands and suddenly Ember was chained down by magical chains, unable to move. But as soon as the chains appeared, they vanished just moments later. "It's not stable, separation is required before the power reaches critical levels." and right after this new being said those words, it broke in half, a side of wind and a side of earth, returning both Zephy and Tina to their previous form.

Whatever this fusion was it had created a being of ultimate knowledge, and it had the knowledge to realize the way they fused was unstable and had to end. Regardless of that however, both Tina and Zephy retained a small bit of the knowledge they shared a moment ago. The answer to what lied most dear to them became clear, or at least clear enough that it seemed within reach. For Zephy this could only be one thing.

"Mister Fishy!" she yelled "Zephy will save you!" and she flew off to the location of mister Fishy, which she knew because of the fusion, granting Zephy unimaginable happiness when reunited with her pet fish.

Ember had no clue what the hell just happened, and frankly she didn't care, she had her spot in the spotlights, the one she needed for a wile now. Having done that she flew over to this being or earth which seemingly was another Archon like herself, being that she felt like she should get to know her and had only one thing to say with that in mind "Hey, I'm Ember, you should move in with me on the Ember Isles." and smiled sincerely.

Tina paused, quite shell shocked by the whole event. She had just come over, got morphed with and then she was suddenly filled with so much information. Her memory was just sorting out a portion of what she had access to. "Fusion not stable..." She muttered to herself. Fusion. That's what happened. Where two archons bond together and work in perfect harmony. But the fusion had been imperfect. It had been unstable, and nearly led to some bad things. She looked up as Ember adress her, blinking slightly and then she sighed. "I... I'm Tina." She then paused. "I know who you are. You don't remember, but we met before." She explained. She wasn't too sure when, but they had. Then she smiled. "And yes. Moving in would be a good idea... us being close together, as potentially destructive as it sounds, will be for the greater good.... I think." She spoke. "Oh. And we have to try that again sometime."

Frank Mayhem

Battle! Vs. Liberty!

Why... w-why. WHY IS IT NOT WORKING!

There has to be something wrong here! I trained! I prepared! I'm a Celestial Android! And yet, with all these cards at my side, I can't destroy one, measly, Earthling android with the strongest attack I've ever used in my entire life! I... why. Why, life?

Huff... I have to be strategic here. As always, for Hell's sake. Influx situation, GUI! A few seconds left... Enemy situation? Attacking from all sides- Ow! That was a powerful slap from her chain. I deflected a few others in the heat of the moment. If this continues, I will have no other way! Heat Blade- AGH! Yet another attack, this time from her fists. This was followed by a massive tackle from her, which sent me pummeling and rolling back on the ground.

Ugh... Huff... I still have something left. A measly percentage, but we can work with it. I tried standing up. Slowly... but surely. If I could feel pain, I would probably be in agony. Now then... I-I just can't believe this has gone worse than last time. And I'm even stronger! Gosh, then what is Xucor going to be? God?

"Well..." I muttered from my last Influx breaths. "All I can say is - this was one hell of a date." There is no point in attack now - I'll just waste energy.

Liberty might have had a witty comeback about... five seconds ago? Heck, she was good at thinking of things on the fly and planning ahead. But... right now she really was having trouble thinking of anything to retort with. She simply looked into the eyes of the other android, their eyes meeting. She really was having a hard time thinking at all now, and she had no idea why. Why was she so... flustered? Why was she so close to someone who had tried to murder her not long ago? She knew the answer. It was just hard to admit.

She leaned her head forward and kissed the other android, her arm moving to the back of his head. If he used the opertunity to stab her in the back... well. She didn't care too much now. Now she was a little too preoccupied with Frank.

"Who said we're here to have fun, fox? As much as I love gutting demons, that cat woman did say that the Five Storms were kidnapping people and were up to no good." She said, turning one of the approaching Oni spawn into a bloody mist with the power of her arcane gauntlet, before shrugging. "I mean, I have no problem with fighting these things, but I should probably point that out." She continued.

"Then again, it doesn't look like we have to keep fighting them anymore, anyway." She remarked after Akari had taken out the majority of the Oni spawn. The blonde woman rolled her eyes. If she could do that, why didn't she do it from the start and save them all the trouble?

Gingerly, she walked through the inconsiderate girl's portal and ended up on the dungeon as well. She saw the man- more of a boy, really, who was chained from the wrists and hanging from the wall at the back of the room. She was surprised, needless to say, but did nothing as she watched Akari approach him.

The boy on the wall wore slightly torn and rather bloody casual clothes, though ironically enough he himself seemed relatively unscathed; he looked rather mundane, the only peculiar thing being the strange mechanical-looking medallion on his chest. He appeared to be unconscious, as he did not respond at first, but after a moment, he looked up, having heard the voice of a woman speaking to him. His eyes had by now gotten accustomed to the darkness, and so he was able to look with ease at the strange entourage that had found its way to his prison.

He was understandably surprised to learn that there wasn't just one, but three beautiful women currently looking at him. He had never really been very religious or anything of the sort, but just for a moment, he wondered if he had somehow gotten himself caught in one of those awful cliches from movies and telly shows where a male character wakes up surrounded by women and thinks he's in heaven. He certainly didn't believe the same as them, but the situation seemed like a pretty good match in every other sense.

"I'm... Yeah, I'm alive." Akihiko said, not weakly, but without much, shall we say, attention. He had, after all, been unconscious, so he was trying to make heads and tails of his situation, trying to remember what had happened before and just why the hell his body ached so much all over.

It was only when he noticed the chains around his wrists that he remembered, looking at said chains in shock and anger.

"Damn it!" He growled, tugging on the chains to no avail, remembering the beating he'd received from the hands of the Five Storms earlier, before being taken captive. The silver lining was that he had at least managed to save the kids about to be captured there, but it did little to change the fact that he was now chained to a wall. Further angering him was the fact that Kusanagi was nowhere to be seen; alas, no matter how much he struggled, the chains did not budge. He was not yet back at his full strength after all, and the chains in question were quite a bit sturdier than normal metal ones.

After struggling for a bit, he turned his attention back to the women, wondering if they could help them, and also noticing Taro for the first time.

"What the hell is a fox monster doing here?" He asked himself, but shook off the thought. That was not important now. These people, they seemed to be well-armed, so he figured he might as well ask them for some help, as much as he disliked the idea of being saved by a bunch of girls.

"You're after the Five Storms too, aren't you? Help me get out of here and I'll help you." He said, fury in his face. "The bastards took my sword."

Akari smirked ever so slightly. "Someone has a foul mouth." She spoke. She noticed Taro already freeing him by geting rid of his chains, she then shrugged, aiming her pistol at his shackles. Magical blasts managed to demolish them without hurting the half oni. Then Akari took a few steps back. Then offered her hand. "Well, as they say, the enemy of my enemy is my friend." She remarked. She was a bit annoyed at his lack of manners, but there were five "storms" and only four of them. Masami sniffed slightly. Then drew her blade.

"Someone's coming." She remarked. She turned to Akari. "There are three scents headed our way. The other two are in a room nearby to the south. I'm guessing they have his weapon" She turned to Aki. "You two. Go there and deal with those two of the Five. We'll deal with these three."

Tomia:

It was weird to see her Father and Claudia separate. That night afterbHiroshi had fought a green skinned lady and disappeared, then Claudia had as well. After that they hadn't spoke to each other and both got stiff and uncomfortable when she mentioned the other.

Imma get them back together, that'd make Daddy happy!

Smiling, she ran over to Claudia, giggling as she grasped by not her leg. Sitting in her foot Tomai giggled as Claudia moved.

" School was okay! I saw Daddy, he said he's gonna come get my picture later!" She giggled, her golden eyes bright.

Claudia paused, her fist involuntarilly tightening slightly. She still kept up her smile. She didn't, couldn't falter in front of Tomia. She had been through enough. She took a gentle step forward and then gently pryed Tomia from her foot and took her into her arms.

"I'm glad school was okay. I used to hate school at your age, but you seem to be doing well." She commented. "And... you saw your father..." She commented, reluctant to even say his name. She sighed.

"Good." She replied, "I'm glad he still see's you. It's good that he does after all. Even despite." She paused. "Everything." She sighed. "It helps to know he still cares about you at least." Even though he stopped caring about me long ago. Fucker. She internally seared. Why did he even date me? Out of pity? Fuck. She inahled and cleared her mind. Then returned it to Tomia.

"We're still... upset with each other. So we've decided to split. But I still can support both of you." She spoke. Then began to change the subject. "Hulks are good at supporting weight and lifting things, things like cute little Saiyans" She spoke as she winked.

Tomia:

Tomia cocked her head slightly as Claudia spoke. Her friends fought parents fought occasionally, she'd seen it at the different plays and concerts the school had. But it was so unlike the image she had of the two of the, to split permanently.

" I know he still cares about you!" She remarked suddenly, standing on her tippy toes to look at Claudia." You two are amazing together! In fact, he got a good paying job so he could win you back!"

Tomig giggled when Claudia remarked about cute saiayns, bounding up, she landed on her shoulders and laughed as she used Claudia's hair like reins on a horse.

" Come on! We've gotta go get ice cream! The teacher said so!

"He still hasn't apologised." She muttered. Then sighed. "He'll be fine without me Tomia. If he needed me so much, he wouldn't have..." She paused, then shook it off.

"Since when did I become a horse?" Claudia mused aloud to the little Sayain. She had fallen in love with Tomia's adorableness and charecter. She was a very resilient girl.

"I'll only get you an ice cream if I see you brushing you teeth tonight!" She said in a slightly stern tone. Then she smiled. "The good news is I have the day off, so we can do what you want to do."

Jamal looked up at Xiri and listened as she explained what happened. However, it wasn't an explanation that was filled with any particularly significant depth and left him asking a few questions inside of his head. Most of them involved wondering what Xiri meant by "eating" the animals of the zoo. Then, the giant slime girl leaned close to him, clearly having not a care in the world for his personal space. It didn't really mind him, though. He'd seen and experienced a lot worse. "The Nova Corps is essentially an intergalactic peacekeeping space militia. We -- or, rather, I, these days -- basically help solve any issues that may threaten the universe, especially the Andromeda galaxy. Given all of that, you can imagine why I'm here, considering this involved an invasion of an alien species."

Xyri paused. She cocked her giant head slightly. "Okay..." She had spoke. Then scratched her slime head. That explanation was one that didn't really explain anything for Xyri. "I have more... questions." She spoke. She sorted through the ones she had in her head and chose some of the better ones. "How are you making those orange people float in blue balls?" She asked. "And what do you mean by... I? You just said that you're a group." She was actually quite proud of herself for picking up on that.

"Owww." She said, feeling her hair pulled. "I meant brush your teeth later silly. You don't have to worry about ice cream being ruined sweeite." She commented." Ragnarök War
Part Three: Ragnarok Sanction;
Or the Return of Morningstar

Darkstar unleashed his Obliteration Absolute upon the surface of Madworld, destroying much of the planet's surface and millions of it's inhabitants by bombarding it with Anti-Energy Waves. All seems lost in the Ragnarok War as Val enters her fight with Rose, an android who can see future events and respond accordingly, and Mir looses his Sentry Serum boost and reverts back to his normal, Daxamite form. Only a miracle can save the duo, and an even greater miracle is needed to save the universe from the wrath of Dead God Darkstar.

Valentine

She dodged left and to the side, but still met a punch right square in her nose. Val recoiled from the hit and stumbled back, clinching her nose and closing her eyes as they watered up and blinded her for a moment. She hadn't the time to think or react - and instead jammed her legs outward to hit Rose dead center. Instead of connecting, the android side-stepped the attack and grabbed one of Val's legs by the ankle, using it as a leverage point and flipping the Mad Girl over Rose's shoulder, slamming her face-first into the rockhard ground below. Val pushed up and spun - swinging her elbow to smash into Rose's temple, but the android just stepped backwards and dodged it effortlessly. Valentine used her momentum to throw a punch as well - Rose simply leaning to the side to dodge it.

"Holy fuck!" Val yelled, "Let me just hit you, damnit!" As soon as she said that, Val found that one her punches did indeed connect with Rose's face. A solid strike, too, nothing held at bay and twisting the android's facial features a bit as Val dug in and stepped in to the punch to give it more power. Despite that, the android didn't budge or even move from the moment of impact - her eyes remained locked on Val as the Mad Girl landed her punch. "How the..." Val muttered, before being kneed in the stomach by Rose, who then delivered a smacking punch to the side of Val's head.

"Useless, Valentine." Rose said plainly, lacking emotion or any real passion in her voice. "Your chance at victory is a near-zero number. Your world is dead, your friend is losing, and your lover," Rose continued, walked toward Val slowly and methodically, taking her time to lay on the verbal abuse, "Has abandoned you." Just like that, a switch flipped in Valentine, and acting almost faster than Rose could predict, a punch flew past her head. The android's eyes grew wide as she kept watching the future to predict Val's moves, only to just barely react in time. The Mad Girl slammed her fist deep into Rose's stomach, the upward force lifting Rose off of her feet and into the air, the Dead Girl getting a deep look into Val's wild, passionate eyes.

"Don't you EVER," Val hissed, jumping up and uppercutting Rose brutally, sending the android flying even higher in the sky, "Talk about Max!" She yelled, flying to meet Rose and throwing another punch, Rose grabbing hold of Val's fist this time, Rose narrowing her own eyes at Val, who threw her other hand to strike at Rose instead. Before Val connected, Rose had already punched her in the mouth, sending Val's neck twisting at an angle, but the Mad Girl turned back to face the android, her lip busted, still ready to fight. Val reared back and threw her off hand once more, Rose clamping down on that one as well - taking both of her arms out of the equation, but Val simply crunched her midsection, bringing her legs up, and extending them into Rose's chest.

The android ate the hit fairly well, only barely stumbling back, but remaining in control of Val's hands. The next hit, however, was aimed right for her face, and Rose hadn't the time to counter it even with her futuristic vision. The hit pushed Rose's neck back and smashed her nose into a bloody mess, finally letting go of Val's fists and tumbling away. Watching their fight, Darkstar went from pleased to rather impatient, and then loudly declared to Rose, "Darling, could you stop playing around with her? Go ahead and go ham, maybe Morningstar will get the message."

Val was confused - no way had Rose been holding back this entire time. Before she could finish her thought, the android's fist was already smashing it's way into her midsection. Val couldn't even blink before Rose's other hand was colliding with her jawline at a cross, the two successive hits sending Val flying against the surface of Deadworld and burying herself beneath it's crust. Rose followed the Mad Girl with the heels of her feet, striking Val with much more force than the two hits combined, unearthing Valentine and forming a massive crater as the stomp nearly crushed her rib cage. Val could barely move, much less react, as the android leapt from her body and stood watch at the edge of the crater.

Darkstar gave a smirk, enjoying the brutal stomp the fight suddenly turned into, and also admiring his own handiwork in creating Rose. "Quite the show, Rose. Now, don't you think it's time for curtains?" Darkstar asked, Rose blinking slightly and nodding once, pointing two fingers to the sky, Val weakly opening her eyes to watch. A small sphere of energy formed and swirled above her index and middle fingers, the characteristic decaying look of Anti-Energy apparent in it's manifolds. The sphere suddenly enlarged from the size of a tennis ball to at least that of a large house, Rose nonchalantly holding it aloft.

Weakly, Val extended her palm, whispering "No..." As she watched her certain death play out before her very eyes. She slammed her eyelids shut, tears rolling down her face, closing her palm as well, laying back and fighting through the pain she was already enduring. Her willpower was broken, her ribs pulverized, and all lost. In her final moments, she wondered where was Max, why didn't he save her, why didn't anyone save her. Darkstar laughed, clasping his hands together slowly, Val wincing with each clap, Rose raising the deadly sphere of Anti-Energy higher and rearing back, just moments before throwing the decaying mass onto Val's defenseless body.

And then, a miracle.

Mir

Daxam's Native Son faced the unimaginable horror that was an unrestricted Nul Tyranis, who wielded All-Black the Necrosword with stunning swordsmanship and impunity, yet he did not waver, not once, in the face of overwhelming defeat and hopelessness. As Mir stood there with his hands raised, ready to fight still, Nul could only give a slight chuckle at the sight. Mir took this as an invitation, rushing forward, slamming his superpowered fist into Nul's body like a charged bullet - but it did absolutely nothing, just making a smacking sound. Nul grabbed Mir by the neck and slammed him into the ground in one fluid motion, blasting his body with a charged shot of All-Black to complete the assault.

Nul lifted himself into the air and backed away slightly, the fiery dance of All-Black's dark tendrils forming an aura of pure evil around Nul. As if on cue, Mir shot forth from the ground, pieces of dirt flying off of his body as his eyes glowed red, firing his heat vision as Nul. The God Butcher raised All-Black to tank the blast, Mir colliding with Nul and throwing two punches back to back, Nul eating both of them like nothing, throwing his own weak punch against Mir's face, causing the Daxamite to stumble in the opposite direction. In the same second, Nul uppercutted Mir with devastating power, almost sending him skyward, but Nul slashed at the Daxamite with his Annihiblade before he flew - creating a gash across Mir's chest.

He flew high into the sky, almost into orbit, where the light of Madworld's yellow sun bathed his body in energy. The hit knocked him out, but the boost brought him back to the waking world, and Mir flew right back into the action with a revitalized spirit. But the result was the same - Nul brutally stomped Mir as soon as the Daxamite charged him, slamming a waiting fist into Mir's face as he shot toward Nul, shockwaves bouncing around the planet as the hit knocked him back for miles and miles. Nul flew after him lazily, as if he enjoyed toying with the Daxamite and his willpower. Mir laid against the warm dirt, hot from the friction of slowing his speed, and breathed heavily, thinking to himself.

"I can't...I can't let Max down. Val...I need to help Val." He thought, "My...My body. Move, damnit, move!"

"Your body is at it's limit, Mir." The dark, callous voice of Nul called out, the Kryptonian walking into view of the Daxamite. "Your body burned away the Sentry Serum - our metabolisms are too great for it's effects. But still, it will not do you good, this sun will do you no good. Sun dipping will not work - you could barely keep up with my with one million suns within your body." He further taunted, Mir's breathing becoming steady, glancing from Nul to where Val was - in her crater, the sphere Rose was creating growing larger. "You and your friends have lost."

Mir's body suddenly disappeared, rushing to where Val was in an effort to save her. Time moved still, as Mir blitzed as fast as he had ever gone before. Two choices were ahead: Take out Rose, or remove Val from the equation. Unknowing Rose's capabilities, he went with the Val option, and was just about to reach her crater, when the full force of Nul's heels slammed into his back and drove him to the ground. The God Butcher grabbed Mir by the neck and raised him up - facing Val and the entire scene. Mir struggled, but he couldn't free himself or reach Nul's body with his legs, so he was forced to watch. "No..." Mir said, "No, I can't let Max down..."

Frustrated, he relaxed his body, accepting his fate, just as Val did, lamenting as he did so. "I...I let him down. I couldn't save her, I couldn't save Otto." Mir blinked away droplets of tears as they welled in his eyes and clouded his vision. Nul gave a slight smile as Darkstar laughed and clapped, ushering in the death of Valentine with Mir as an unwilling witness, "I'm sorry, Max...I...I, I couldn't...I.,.You, trusted me...And...I let you down." Mir sobbed, the Anti-Energy Sphere swinging forth like a guillotine of total annihilation, Mir helpless to save the bride-to-be of Max, and helpless to stop Darkstar, or even Nul.

And then, a miracle.

Morningstar

"You never let me down, Mir."

Those few, softly spoken words brought Mir to stillness, a serene calm washing over him as he opened his eyes wide to watch as his God returned to the earthly plane. The armored body of Mad Max, save for his helmet, stood between Val and Rose for only a brief moment, the Mad God's palm raised toward Rose with a small sphere of energy swirling inside of it. At once, the energy sphere launched, and in a blinding flash of light, the body of the Android and her Anti-Energy Death Ball were consumed by the devastating power that Morningstar had at his disposal. Forming a trench two miles long, Max turned and kneeled next to Val, the heavily injured girl barely staying awake, but smiling nonetheless.

"You...you came back." She said weakly, Max frowning deeply as his unexplained absence caused his entire livelihood to go through their own Hell. Morningstar grabbed hold of Val's hand gently but firmly, letting her know that he was serious.

"I wouldn't leave for anything. Not the world, not the universe." Max said to Val, "You are my everything, and nothing and no one will ever change that. The Living Tribunal gave me a gift to fight Darkstar, and time moves differently in his dimension, but I'm here now. You don't have to cry anymore, my Valentine." Morningstar continued quietly, keeping the conversation between him and his love. Val reached her hand up and wiped away at Max's cheek, the Mad God curling his lip in as he bit down on it, trying not to whimper.

"S-silly, you're the one crying..." Val replied.

"You'll be safe somewhere else, my love, but remember, I'll always come back for you. I promise." Morningstar continued, waving his hand over Val's head and body, the girl becoming transparent and fading away to some other location, far from the battlefield Max was about to grace, where he would let his enemies know exactly why everyone else called him Mad. But still, Val's parting words stung the God in the deepest pit of his heart and soul, knowing better, but wished he could stay just a little bit longer.

"Max...please, don't leave me again..." Val softly cried, fading away from the remains of Madworld and finally giving Morningstar the mental break he needed to fight at his prime. The war was for reality, but Max knew better, because he was facing a different version of himself. This war was not just for the Multiverse, it was for Valentine, the Mad Girl, and to Darkstar, it was the ultimate way to Morningstar's defeat. Max rose to his feet but kept his head down low, the shocked expressions of Mir, Nul, and Darkstar watching on as the Mad God arrived late to the war.

Nul tossed Mir to the side like a rag doll, reasoning that he had just found a much, much better opponent to test his almighty powers with All-Black on. The Kryptonian stomped over to where Morningstar was, sliding down into the crater and locking his hate-filled eyes on Max's body. "Now that the skirts are gone, we can cut loose a bit more. Morningstar, you look well, I've managed to kill you in hundreds of universes, and I've killed many more Valentines, as well. What makes you think this time will be any different?" Null asked, stepping within a meter of Maxwell before stopping, a grim smirk on his murderous face. Morningstar looked up casually, his face blank and devoid of emotion, causing Nul to get a confused look on his face.

It happened so suddenly that Nul didn't even feel his jawline smacking against the back of his skull as Maxwell threw a straight punch right to the Kryptonian's bottom teeth. The hit sent several shockwaves around the world, blowing back incredible amounts of dust and debris as Nul's face contorted into an unnatural, pulverized look. Max didn't just punch him, though, the Mad God extended his fingers and literally grabbed the pure black energy that enveloped Nul Tyranis, pulling it back. putting forth actual effort, and separating All-Black the Necrosword from Nul's control in a violent scream of power. Nul's body limply slumped to the ground as the Annihiblade danced happily around Max's face, arms, and body, Nul crawling to Max's feet, reaching up at his torso. "Give it...back..."

"No." Max replied in a deep, commanding voice, "All-Black is not meant for mortals like yourself," Morningstar said insultingly, "It is meant to be wielded by Gods." And so, Maxwell Morningstar became Black Max, the Mad Butcher, and stared deep into the eyes of Nul as Max revealed the hidden powers of All-Black never accessible to Nul, it's true potential revealed in just a few moments. Max grabbed Nul by the hair and jerked him up high, nearly snapping his neck in the process. "The same blade that ran through Otto Godblessed will spill your own entrails. You do not deserve such an honor, Nul, but my time is thin, and you're in the way." With that, Maxwell plunged the blade deep into Nul's chest, exploding it outward at hundreds of spiny points to ensure that every organ in his chest cavity was thoroughly stabbed. Max retracted the blade mentally, Nul's eyes glossing over, and his head swiveling to the side.

The Mad Butcher tossed him aside like a wild animal carcass, his expressionless face a testament to his mental strength and resolve - revenge for Otto, but at the cost of yet another life at the machinations of Darkstar. Black Max turned to the Dead God on his throne, but looked down at the black tendrils that encircled his arm and chest, the mental willpower of Max able to finely control All-Black and force it all into Max's hand and into a neat little sphere. "I've taken away it's voice and influence, Mir, leaving just the raw power. You'll use it someday, but today, I won't." Max said to himself, leaving his transformed state with ease, and sending the sphere that contained All-Black over to the Daxamite's body, Max then giving his full attention to Darkstar.

The Dead God looked upon Max's face as if it were his own, because it was, and he smiled an excited glee. "You're quite the busy man, huh? Had to make sure your girlfriend was getting thoroughly pounded - pun intended - by Rose before showing up to be the big hero? Either way, you're here now and that's all that matters. Me and you, Us, I, We? Um." Darkstar said, thinking to himself for a moment, "Whatever, you're going to watch everything you love die and then I'm going to kill you." Darkstar yelled suddenly, scooting forward in his chair and producing severe bolts of electricity as the Mobius Chair struggled to keep him on. "Just a sec, hang on." Darkstar said, pulling himself free from the Mobius Chair and standing on it's platform defiantly, his arms outstretched, inviting Max for the first blow.

He hopped from the platform and onto the ground, lightly touching it and sparing the world of another Obliteration Absolute. "Well, what is it, then?" He asked quietly, taunting Morningstar, but a a sudden silver flash buzzed past Max's back - the Mad God leaning to the side to dodge the sneak attack with ease. A partially destroyed Rose stood next to Darkstar and Morningstar, ready to fight alongside her master. Darkstar rolled his eyes and sighed heavily as Rose put her hands up to engage, and grabbed Rose by the back of her head. "Your usefulness has been EXHAUSTED!" Darkstar shouted, picking the android up and slamming her face-first into the ground below, charged with Anti-Energy as well, exploding horrifically as Roses' final moments were being betrayed by her creator. Friction from the attack jolted across Darkstar's body as his wild eyes shifted to Morningstar, "And you're next."

Darkstar tightened his fist, Morningstar doing the same, powering their bodies with their respective energy outputs to produce even greater firepower, walking slowly before turning into a dead sprint as the two put their fists forward, read to just annihilate the other in the Ragnarok War, the final battle at hand, and the fate of the Multiverse hanging delicately in the balance. Time slowed as the first strikes in the final battle neared their mark, Darkstar taking Morningstar's punch on the chin, and Morningstar taking the exact same strike in the exact same way, both unaffected by the initial tap, but wincing in pain as the anti-energy violently reacted with the positive energy, annihilating it, and producing an explosion of untold proportions.

Ashy opened her eyes, seeing a dark sphere around her, large enough to hide their location. She felt the ground and earth, it felt… familiar, her extended senses telling her things that normal ones could not. The pain had finally ceased, but the combat had not. Her foe stood before her, her presence seemed almost slightly diminished. It was no longer as intense as before. Ashy also noticed the Valkyrie nearby, still alive, but unconscious. She got to her feet, seeing the Snake.

“His death matters not though. The Mad King has abandoned you Ash. Despite his power he has left you to die.”

She ignored her ramblings. They were somewhat pointless. “Where are we? We’ve moved haven’t we?”

The Snake paused. “Doesn’t matter.” She replied, “You’re going to die anyway. Might as well call it your grave.”

“Your voice is different.” Ashy spoke, extending a hand and firing a beam of divine energy. She was right. The Snakes voice had lost an echoing quality, but retained a menace to it. “What happened?”

The Snake grunted from the force and Ashy raised an eyebrow Funny… she should have been able to dodge that easily. This though distracted Ashy from a sudden slamming of her face into the ground, cracking continental plates and revealing lava which flowed onto Ash’s face.

Ashy kicked upwards, aiming for her foes gut. She was sent flying miles away. Ashy had time to regain her bearings. Then she hovered out of the cracked crater her fall had created. The dome isn’t really here. It’s a construct of my mind. Her psychic power can’t breach my mind, so instead she’s forcing it to trick itself.

“But why this? What does she not want me to know?”

She was again assailed by her foe, beams of darkness miles wide tore gashes into the landscape like cuts, sometimes drawing magma like blood. Ashy returned fire, similarly destructive. After all, the planet they were on was practically lifeless. Though… there was once something here.

“You’re not being very talkative Snake. What’s wrong? Around this time before I was eating your bo-“

Suddenly she was interrupted, ironically, by the snakes foot. Her body being sent flying. The Snake followed this up by hitting her downwards, slamming her into the ground. Ashy recovered and responded, she created two arm blades out of forcefields, quickly closing in with the snake. She used her attack as a ruse however, instead attacking with a wide beam with galactic burning force. The Snake yelled as she was suddenly hurt, though it was not visible, her form was becoming more and more unstable. But then she retaliated with her own strikes. They traded attacks for some time, blade to blade. Some attacks were blocked and some blunt force kicks and cuts got through. Light and Dark met and broke away many times, clashing and disengaging at light speeds. Blasts of devine energy and darkness were intercut among physical attacks.

We seem to be on actually even ground now. This is actually interesting… why did she loose her strength? What happened?

Ashy attempted to break the deadlock with an explosion of divine energy, which was countered by an explosion of hatred. the two omidiectional waves cancling each other out.

The Snake went on the offensive then, using her mental powers to temporarily overwhelm her foe and then she attacked. Ashy was able to defend agaist the mental attack easily.

"You can't breach my mind anymore. You truly have gotten weaker!" Ashy explained triumphanty, her discovered awarding her another attack and a furious growl, which she blocked. Forces equal to that which could move an entire planet pushed against Ashy.

Suddenly, she froze up. She seemingly could not move. She put her guard down and remained still. The Snake saw a chance, quickly unleashing the grandmother of all beatings upon the Vokornian. Until Ash lied on the ground. Completely out of this fight.

“So. any last words Ash?”

Ash looked up suddenly. “Just two.” She said, "Behind you" Then suddenly kicked the snake while she was confused. Suddenly she flew back, realising the was a portal behind her. She cursed. Attempting to go back, but Ashy kicked her as she walked through. She also had the Valkyrie in her hands, cradled like a mother would a child.

“Now I know why you didn’t want me to see where I was. I was on mad world, surprisingly close to Max and Darkstar. It took only a little while to deduce, while I cleared your psychic barrier. Then I opened a portal to Asgard. After all I wanted to get Helga here back to her home” She explained, then smiled. “You were siphoning off Null and Darkstars hate and sins, but when null died you didn’t have nearly as much to work with. Plus you had to be far away from the two of them so they wouldn’t get involved. Right? Now that your link is severed, you are far too weak to fight me. "

The snake stood. "Very clever Ashyandra." She replied. "You have earned yourself more time." She spoke, but then suddenly she began to crmuble into a darkness born of hatred and pride. "But I will always be a part of you. Within you. within everyone. And you will never be able to purge us."

"The Skin of evil comes Sheppard. I am but her servant." With that, she fully disapeared.

Ashy sighed, carying the Valkyrie. She supposed she should look for someone to orient herself...

" Let's hurry and get some ice cream!" Tomia giggled, urging Claudia faster by bouncing her boots on her side. For a second she could have sworn Claudia looked guilty when she mentioned how tired and worn out her Dad was, but it was gone as fast as it appeared.

" He trains all night too." She muttered. " He wants to ascend he says. He says there's a threat coming. I've also heard him talking to himself."

"He does do that." Claudia muttered absently. She walked towards the ice cream store, a small stand with lots of flavours. She smiled at the clerk and placed Tomia down on the counter. picking her off her head. "There you go, what flavour do you want?" She asked, tempted to lean on the shop but she might actually break it and a lot of other things if she did. She looked at the pictures of ice cream they could have.

Meanwhile. in the distance there was a bright light in the sky, almost starlike.

"I have more... questions." She spoke. She sorted through the ones she had in her head and chose some of the better ones. "How are you making those orange people float in blue balls?" She asked. "And what do you mean by... I? You just said that you're a group." She was actually quite proud of herself for picking up on that.

Jamal stared at the giant slime girl for a few seconds in silence. Clearly, she wasn't the brightest person, or slime person, rather. Or maybe she was, for all he knew. In which case he wondered how in the world such a species could function. "Those guys," Jamal pointed at the captured Ratu pirates, "are captured inside of a localized gravity field. Jamal paused, realized that she likely would simply become even more confused. "Er, that is to say..." He trailed off as he realized that he was struggling to put it in as simple terms as possible. Maybe Worldmind had rubbed off on him a little too much.

"Alright, it's... a bubble where gravity doesn't act normally because I control it." Jamal wasn't certain whether that helped at all. After all, he wasn't a teacher and explaining something in simple terms was more difficult than he expected. Jamal released a sigh when Xyri asked him why he said "I" after stating he was a part of a group. "That's even more complex. But, the cliff notes version is that everyone else is...dead. I'm the only one left." He felt a sting in his gut as he said this. No matter how many times he repeated this, he still hadn't gotten over it and therefore it never came easy to him.

Xyri frowned. She was aware of the concept of gravity. When someone jumped, they came back down. Things like that made sense to her. She wasn't quite skilled enough in social comunication to understand that Jamal didn't think she was very smart, but she did get a sense of condensention from him, even if she couldn't describe it as such. She mentally shrugged, reasoning it didn't really matter. "Gravity... so they fly, like birds or orange ships." She nodded. Then frowned slightly. "I understand. I am alone too. No one else like me around. Definitely not." She spoke, nodding. Though Jamal's situation was a little more complex than that. "I can hug you if it'll make you feel better." She sincerely suggested.

Battle! Vs. Liberty!

I was already bracing for the hit. The finishing blow. Some time ago. I was in her place... and she survived via transfomation. Was it... foolish of me to even meet her? Back there, on Battleworld, I remember already... the first move was me saving her from a Thor. And now, we are furious enemies. I thought about all this time that passed. I had already closed my eyes and was prepared t meet my fate...

And yet, that strike never happened. I was not feeling my body being vaporized, pulverized... but I felt something was going on. Should I open my eyes? Without thinking it out, I did... What? Why? With her? I had too many questions in my mind. I almost believed my mind is making this up as a pre-death hallucination... but it was real. It was in front of me, solid and clear.

We were kissing. And, unlike what I would have wanted to do... I did not move my head back and immediately stab Liberty in the chest. This was the perfect opportunity... and yet... I was wasting it. I was enjoying it. What is this feeling... I felt so... happy... powerless... and yet, seeking HER...

My previous self would be disgusted. But fuck my previous self. He's a cocky insecure brat. I embaced the kiss. I closed my eyes again. I... I'm not even me anymore...

Liberty was also surprised by the whole affair. Sure she initiated the kiss, but she still couldn't believe she had done it. Why? Frank had been such an asshole to her. Had nearly killed her multiple times just to prove his superiority, was a massive racist and... yet she couldn't deny she was attracted to him in a way that she hadn't to any of the many organics she had fucked. She felt something else for him. Too early to call love, so she just decided to call it magnetism and leave it at that.

She pulled back. Still on top of Frank. She paused, then folded her arms on his chest, supporting herself. She sighed. "So..." She started. This was awkward. "Does this... change anything? I mean..." She paused. "Honestly, this is pretty new for me. Not the whole kissing thing, but kissing someone I had been shooting and beating repeatedly with massive guns. I'm not sure..." She paused. Then leaned back in. Was she even really the same now? She felt like she was more justice than Liberty. She switched back to her Liberty form, trying to see if that would make a difference.

It didn't. Not at all. It was like using a different lense, but she still saw... Frank. And she wanted him.

"Wanna talk about this... or... we could always fuck." She suggested. "I mean, it's the most logical step forward. At least for me."

They had finally reached the large toy store that was one of those two floor stores. "Come on Jonathan. I'm sure we can find you a stuff animal you like here." Harvey said as the five of them went through the Isle of the stores, seeing various stuffed creatures as they waited for Jonathan to chose the one he liked. Samantha couldn't help but keep an eye on Hannah, as if when she looked away something bad would happen to her. She didn't envy James. He had to care for his two brothers, and he was only 16. Sometimes Samantha didn't realize how lucky she was to have Sarah there to take care of her all those years. She'd have to remember to tell Sarah how grateful she was sometime.[/quote]
Interestingly, Jon didn't get a bear. He managed to find a stuffed werewolf somwhere which was quite lovingly made. Hanah was surprised by this choice, but she had to say she approved. Henry looked at it with confusion and Hannah smiled at him. "Your brother has good taste." She quipped. Then gave a sitcom comedic shrug. Jonathan hugged the wolf, clearly very pleased with his choice. He had been competely silent the whole time.

"He doesn't talk much." Remarked Harvey. Hannah grinned slightly.

"He's been talking to me this whole time." She explained. "We had a conversation while we picked little Wolfy out."

Jonathan nodded.

"Also, you're last name is Anderson?" She asked. "That seems strangely funny for some reason.."

The Republic of Atria wrote:"Yes Katie... Ugh. I got to choose my height and length of my spinal column. I chose to make it as long as possible to inconvenience everyone." He said ever so sarcastically. "But, really. Thank you for that." Standing up he finally got his head on straight as the dizziness faded. "They didn't make me do anything crazy did they?"

"Umm... They made you blow up the Masakis' Homeworld..." Naja said. "So... There's that." She said and threw her arms around him. "I am so glad you're back... And I'm so sorry for making you do that. I had no idea." Once again, Naja was beginning to squeeze the life out of him.

"I... Love you... Too. Crushing... Everything." He strained to say and Naja dropped him, allowing him to catch his breath. "Thank you. Who made me go blow up that planet? I'm gonna feed him his own-"

"Don't worry about it. It's being taken care of. So how about your curb your homicidal tendencies and us three go grab some dinner?"

"They also made you fight a Saiyan too aparantly." Katie added, then sighed. "And I was refering to your height compared to mine Al. Am I just really short or are you two really tall?" She teased, then looked around. She thought Cora would have been here by now. That was odd. SHe turned back to them. "Sure. Though we would have to make it four. We could do a double date with you and Naja and me and Cora. Speaking of which..." She turned around and yelled. "Cora! Where are you?!" She xincerely hoped nothing bad happened to her.

"You... are moving a bit too quickly with this relationship, you know?" I muttered. I could see her face right in front of me now. Still bright and lovely. Wait, so this isn't just a flux in my programming? I'm not hallucinating or having a post-death dream about my hidden fantasies? Because it surely looks like it. "I mean... I wouldn't be against, but... you have to remember we've been trying to kill each other for the past hour." I was holding onto her wais and looking into her eyes. What did I see in her? What even happened with me?

My motion tracked detected... something incoming. Shut up, brain. This is not the time. We are having a moment, don't try to ruin it.

"Fair enough. It was just a suggestion." She spoke. Then paused. She dropped that surprisingly quickly. She shook her head. "I suppose it would make more sense to... have a date at which we're not fighting each other? I mean we could actually talk and shit. Getting to know each other would... help I guess? I don't know." She shrugged. "I've never been in a... "real" relationship so help me out here. What do you want to do now since sex is off the menu?" She remarked.

"Yeah, it's... it's tough, huh?" Jamal couldn't help but feel sorry for Xyri and feeling that she had it worse in the lonely department. Truth be told, it Jamal normally didn't interact with the Nova Corpsman of the other sectors all too often, unless in the extremely rare case that all of them were called in for a Corps-wide meeting important enough that required the immediate and personal attention of the whole Corps. As such, he wasn't necessarily impacted on a personal level when the Corps was decimated, but, rather, it was the shock of being a part of something greater and suddenly having that whisked away.

Furthermore, it wasn't as though Jamal had shared much in common with the other Corpsmen. What they shared was at a mere surface level of simply being a part of the Nova Corps, whereas fundamental things such as what species they were, the planed they hailed from, their culture, etc. were all different. In reality, it wasn't necessarily that he was lonely, as of late, it was the frustration of doing the grueling work of hundreds of thousands of individuals all by himself.

On the other hand, Xyri's situation was vastly different. Not only was she not a member of the human species and living on Earth, but she was different. She wasn't like Superman where she could blend in and pass for a human. Jamal figured that she was reminded of the fact that she had no one else like her every day simply by virtue of being different. He didn't have to be an alien slime person to figure that it must feel awful. When Xyri suggested that she could give him a hug, Jamal was legitimately surprised. It wasn't everyday he was offered a hug from a slime person, though he had a feeling that at least a part of the reason Xyri offered was to make herself feel better as well. Jamal couldn't help but smile at the genuine offer and said, "Sure, why not?"

Xyri smiled. She placed her hand on the roof of the building. From that a smaller Xyri apeared, steeping free from the ooze (After all she didn't want to crush him at her massive size) she was about nine feet in hieght and looked exactly the same as big xyri, who had lost a tiny bit of size. The large but small xyri walked over to Jamal, then wrapped her massive arms around him, bringing him into a huge hug. She looked down at him, smiling. "Are you feeling better?" She asked. The big Xyri also smiling at the two, so she wasn't just delegating the hug, though even if big xyri wasn't paying attention, it would stlll be as if he was getting small xyris full attention, the slime girl able to split herself among her duplicates rather easily.

He then frowned ever so slightly when she seemed to keep coming back to the topic of his death, hoping that she'd understand that it wasn't such a big deal for him but realizing that she didn't seem likely to do so. Of course, he couldn't exactly blame her, since death usually was a pretty big deal for most if not all living creatures, and either way he wasn't going to lose his patience about it. That would not only ruin his chances with the rather attractive blue woman, something that he'd hate, but it would also be pretty rude, something he wasn't keen on being.

His smile returned pretty soon when he noticed that she had turned to the menu instead. Looking through it himself, he listened to her ask her question, chuckling slightly at her comment about Gorn meat, whatever that was. It sure as hell didn't sound very tasty. Either way, Gilbert thought for a few moments how to answer her question, before proceeding to list off some standard dishes commonly found in the average american street cafe, along with a list of their respective pros and cons.

"So, what would you like?" He asked after giving his very helpful and detailed summary.

She nodded as things were explained to her, nodding slowly. She still was having some trouble understanding what the food actually was, but she reasoned this had to be better than some of the food she'd tasted before. Besides, it was more about conversation than eating. She spoke, pointing towards the steak with french fries. "I'll have that. It sounds quite apetising." She remarked. Then closed her menu. She smiled, it was not often she got a break from work like this.

"So, I said I wanted to ask you questions about yourself. Get to know the person who saved the world twice." And destroyed it once. But she decided not to mention that. "So, you spoke of your memories being falsified... when did you start developing memories of your own? And which of them were you favourite?" She asked.

During the fight Cora had realized that she wouldn't be much use up against Alex and trying to fix his brain, so she decided to try to protect her city as well. She had stopped multiple buildings from falling and had rescued too many people to count. She didn't really get hurt either. Despite a few close calls, some scrapes, and her clothes ripping a bit she was fine. She looked a bit of a mess though. There was a light layer of dust on her face and her jeans were ripped a bit on the thighs. Her shirt collar had ripped as well, though it was still mostly intact.

As she finished up, she heard Katie calling after her and immediately followed her voice. When she arrived she saw she was standing with Alex and Naja and everything seemed alright. She hugged Katie in relief, ignoring the fact that she was covered in dust and her clothes were ripped. "Sorry if I scared you by wandering off. I figured I'd be of better use trying to protect civillans." Cora told her new girlfriend, hoping Katie wasn't mad at her.

Katie sighed in relief and hugged Cora back, feeling the dust and clothes. She smiled. "It's okay..." She frowned slightly, breaking off the hug only to check Cora to make sure that she wasn't injured. "You're not hurt? Right? You're okay right?" She asked, a twinge of fear to her voice. She could never have what happened to Eric happen ever again.

When Xyri began moving her giant hand towards Jamal, he immediately considered that maybe it wasn't a good idea to agree to the hug, as he expected her to pick him up and then essentially smother him with he giant size. He breathed an internal sigh of relief however, when her hand landed on the roof instead of grabbing him, and a smaller version of her emerged from the hand. Somehow, he felt as though he kicked himself for not expecting something like that to happen.

Still though, even though she had created a smaller version of herself, she ended up dwarfing Jamal anyway. Xyri then wrapped her arms around Jamal and he felt himself lift off of the ground a bit as he was brought close to her all in one swift motion. As he expected, she felt soft and gelatinous, though outside of that, such as body temperature, he wasn't sure about as his uniform naturally blocked all of that out. When she asked him if he felt better, he looked up and smiled back. "Yeah, I do. It's been a long ass time since I've been hugged outside of -- er, in a platonic way."

"I hugged someone for the first time before today." She remarked with some joy, gently releasing Jamal. It was the smaller Xyri speaking now, not the larger one. She sighed slightly as she bent slightly so she could see Jamal, noting that he was about two thirds her height. She noted also that he was rather tall for a human. "I think I like it. I can understand why it brings comfort." She remarked.

Sarah was still holding hands with John when they arrived at the toy store, a wide smile on her face. It was fairly easy for her to spot her sisters, as she had a mind link with them. She figured that she could have told them the good news through it, but in the end she had decided that it would be best for her to tell them in person, if only so that she could see their faces lit up. Much like John, she waved at the group, and then moved towards her sisters, briefly turning to smile at John before arriving next to Sarah and Hanah. Before she spoke, however, she noticed the stuffed wolf that Jonathan had picked out for himself, and barely avoided a cuteness overload.

"Well isn't that just adorable?" She said, patting the boy on the head, before putting her arms around her sisters' shoulders and dragging them away a little bit.

"So girls, do you want to go to Disney World?" She asked them.

Hannah gasped with joy, smiling widely. "Heck yeah!" She spoke, nearly jumping for joy, she settled for bouncing on her heels slightly from excitement. Her inner child freaking out at this point.

Harvey rolled his eyes. "You're, like, sixteen. Isn't it a little wierd-"

"Shut up Harvey." Spoke Hannah, to which Harvey did shut up. She then turned her mind back to Sarah. "How are we going to get there though? I don't think they have one in Gotham."

"Mayla taught me." Spoke the golden-haired Rainborn currently standing next to Craig, as if answering a question not yet asked. It must've sounded like a fairly simple task, but if Craig paid any attention he would notice that this wasn't the case at all, considering how Etla was wearing a rather dirty apron over her usual white top, giving some insight as to the nature of the natural disaster that had transpired in the kitchen.

Still, at least the sandwich looked fine.

"I know you humans can't just go on indefinitely without sustenance, so here. Eat before you do any of your crazy tech stuff." She insisted.

Ihra then walked in, having spent all night staring at the stars. She sighed. Feeling miserable and homesick. She had spent yesterday being beaten by a Red Man, then following her sister around as fights went on. She wanted to help, but her core made it rather impractical. Now she was just feeling rather down. She had completed one objective of coming here at least, so there was that. But in doing so she had found out it would likely have been much better if she had stayed home. Her insecurities niggled at her. Though a new urge came to her as she took out the vial of Hulks blood. She stared at it. The radioactive substance keeping her attention for some reason. Perhaps if she used this... she wouldn't be so weak anymore... and she could find that Red Man and...

She sighed and put it back, then walked over the Etla and Craig, she gave a small, weak smile. "Hello" She spoke. Then looked at the orb in Craig's hands. "What's that?"

Tomia continued to babble as she scanned over the list of flavors, giggling as she pointed at her favorite one.

" Chocolate!" To,is shouted, bouncing up and down as she waited for Claudia to pay. Mid jump, she paused slightly, looking off int he direction her Fathers house was. While she was a child, she could still slightly sense the different ways her Dsd powered up. When he trained he did it in a way that made it like a fire, but when he in anger or distress, it was like a massive beacon. Frowning, she tugged on Claudia's pant leg.

" Whys Daddy powering up like that? And what's that light?" She babbled

"Powering up?" Asked Claudia as she turned around, handing the chocolate ice cream to Tomia and licking her own vanilla flavour. She then looked up at the light, she paused for a moment. "I have no idea... is it getting bigger?" She asked. She was actually wrong. It wasn't getting bigger.

It was getting closer.

Suddenly a large starship apeared out of nowhere. From out of it, several squid like beings appeared. They charged Claudia and Tomia, the former of which frowned. She stepped forward. "Stay close Tomia. I'll deal with these guys." She remarked.

"First time? Like, ever?" Jamal frowned slightly behind his helmet. "I can't imagine something like that. Humans naturally seek out hugs because of the release of chemicals like dopamine from the hypothalamus that stimulate feelings of pleasure." He paused for a second before realizing that he went off on an unnecessarily complicated ramble that might confuse Xyri again. Damn, Worldmind really was rubbing off on him.

"Er, sorry. That doesn't really matter." Jamal said, rubbing the back of his head. "Besides, I doubt that something like that applies to you anyway. A social animal in general would likely gain pleasure from close physical contact of that nature because it quells worries of existential insignificance." He paused again. "Basically, it takes our mind off of worrying about death and makes us feel important."

“Well, I haven’t had anyone to hug yet. Most people seem to run away when they see me or give me strange looks. Even when I’m not big” She remarked. “That makes sense. I don’t think about my own death much so I have little reason to actively seek them out.” She paused. “But… it’s nice. I like that it makes other people happy and not… want to throw fire at me.” She shuddered. “I don’t like fire…” She commented.

Elena Galadera/Stormlight

A few days later...
Once they had all finished talking and Jamal had cleaned up after them, Elena had led them to an abandoned warehouse where they had temporarily sent up shop. From then, she had contacted Batman, and he had, surprisingly agreed to using his resources to build them, or find them a tower.

Back in the warehouse, when they had finished introducing themselves to each other and telling their powers, they had assembled on the second floor. The warehouse was designed so that the only ceiling was the roof, the warehouse having an inside balcony on each floor.

Speaking up, she began. "We fought together once, and we defeated the bad guys pretty well, but we still need to work on being a team, as its early days. And one of the important components of a team is trust. You have to trust the person watching your back, or you'll be distracted looking over to make sure you're covered, making yourself vulnerable. Thus, the only way I figure that we instill that trust in each other is this way. One by one, we'll all stand on the railing here and let ourselves fall. On the ground floor there will be one person, waiting to catch you. Whoever's on the ground will have to catch the person falling, or that'll destroy the point. I've placed a large mattress on floor so that if you don't get caught by some reason, you won't die or suffer serious injuries. Who wants to go first?" she asked with a grin, flying down to the mattress and putting her arms out to catch whoever would go first.

"And the other thing we still need is a team name!" she shouted up to them. Any ideas?"

Xyri looked up at the balcony and shrugged. She walked to it, walking up the stairs towards the Balcony itself and stood on it, looking down at the people. She paused, waiting for her go.

"Alright then, a steak with fries it is." Gilbert nodded. He gestured for the waiter to come over, which he did rather nervously, though the young man simply ignored it and ordered Aru's dish, along with a hamburger for himself, as saving the universe and then reconstructing the world had been rather tiring for him; he suspected he might've tapped his stomach for some extra energy while doing that, but he couldn't say for sure. At least he hadn't messed up his body in an attempt to fix everything else.

Turning back to Aru once the waiter was gone, he smiled at her comment about saving the world twice. "Technically, I didn't deal the killing blow either time." He pointed out, reminding the blue woman of the role she had played in the destruction of both the cosmic arsonist and the Time Demon, though he couldn't help but feel like something was amiss about that former enemy. However, he decided not to think about it.

"Memories, you say?" He asked. Now that was a bit of a touchy topic, if only because he had no idea what the hell he was supposed to say. "Well... my actual life began more or less when I got to Gotham. I think I had been actually here since earlier, but the point where the false memories stopped was... traumatic, so, the part between then and the moment I got here is just... noise." He explained. "But I'm getting sidetracked with gloomy stuff. You ask for any memories I like? Well, there's not much to pick from, but I don't want to sound cliché, so... You know Batman? I got to visit his cave once. That was pretty cool." He smiled, a bit sheepishly, aware that the story was a bit childish.

“Batman? He’s a member of the Justice league, so yes.” She asked, “I know of him to an extent. I did have the privilege of meeting Wonder Woman once, who I have to say I quite respect.” She smiled. “Getting that close to Batman though, that’s quite impressive. Did you get to meet him? What was he like?” She asked.

When their food came, Aru did not use her knife and fork. After all Rantu ate all their food with their hands. She picked up the steak and began taking chucks out of it, like it was a burger. That drew some odd looks, but no one was willing to call her out on it. She looked up at Gilbert. “So, did your powers change when you came back Chrono?” She asked.

"Really?" Jamal said, cocking his head slightly. "You don't seem scary at all. Well, when it comes to your giant sized body, I could understand others being threatened, but a smaller size really isn't a big deal. I'd think that a person with a gelatinous texture would actually seem less threatening. I could see you being especially popular with kids." Jamal chuckled when she mentioned that she didn't like fire. "Yeah, I think that's a common sentiment.

"[Jamal. I hate to interrupt, but I have located another Rantu.]"

"Rantu?" Jamal asked

"[Yes. That is the name of the race of beings you came here to combat. Remember?]"

"Y-yeah. Where are they?"

"[The city known as Gotham.]"

"...Gotham? That's... odd. Alright then, let's go confront them." Jamal turned his attention back to Xyri. "Well, I gotta go deal with some Nova stuff. I had fun talking with you." Jamal floated off of the roof and waved. "See ya around." With that, he shot off to Gotham

Aru frowned in the middle of a bite. She got up and looked at a part of her suit. “Huh…” She muttered. There was a strong energy signal coming towards them. She tracked it’s trajectory and it seemed to be making a bee line to her. “We… may have some company soon.” She remarked. She stood up, turning to face the door, expecting someone to come through there. Her mind ready to bring out her plasma cannons.

Jake, being eleven, stuck his tongue out at Mars as soon as he was reasonably sure that Elena wasn't looking at him. Then, with another leap, he propelled himself to the railing, landing near Kiris. He leaned over to her, whispering "Ten bucks says that when Xyri knocks Mars down, the stick up his butt'll come outta his mouth."

Then, Jake leaned against the railing, his thoughts boiling. How could Mars act so superior, he wondered, when he just…just used Optimus freaking Prime! That was his only power! The stupid idiot.

Xyri peered down at all the people down below. She frowned slightly. Then mounted the railings. She had fallen before, and it had never hurt her. Most of the time she merely changed her body so she would simply bounce from the force, and even if she didn’t he body couldn’t be hurt by something as measly as a fall. She supposed doing that now would defeat the point of the exercise, something about trust? She had no idea. Though while she was musing she lost her balance and then immediately fell, further from Mars’ arms than was planned. Her eyes widened as she did so, hurtling towards the ground.

Tine cocked her head. “Fan? I said I met you before…” She remarked. Then shook her head. “It’s not… like that… It’s like I recognise you from another life. One I can barely remember.” She commented.
