The Templar High Council wrote:"You got along at first, kind of." Rikki replied, landing on the roof and turning her skin back to a human shade. It was somewhat pale, but Rikki didn't actually care about that. "I think... I think most of us would rather have you stay than go. Because you're smart, and you helped organize us to stop Xyri, and you did all that cool stuff against the aliens.
"What about you, Rocket-but-not-a-Rocket?" Rikki asked, seeing Mars's creation nearby. "Do you want to stay? You get as much say as Mars does."
Mars seemed quite surprised when Rikki said that they wanted him to stay. Most people were usually alienated by his intelligence and just wanted him to go away, and didn't want to deal with him. Then she suddenly asked Rocket what he wanted, and Rocket was silent for a little while, contemplating the question. "I would like to stay."he finally said in his robotic voice. Mars was surprised at this, and looked almost stunned. Even more stunning was when Kiris gave him back the flask and said her tears had healing powers and was a gift of their friendship. "Uh... thanks." He said, though he was clearly grateful, if still shocked as he took the flask back from her.
Finally, he decided not to fight it anymore. "Fine, we'll stay for now. But no promises for the future." He said to the group. He sounded reluctant, but there was clearly some hope there that he was trying to hide.
