Suddenly a blaze of hell fire came barreling toward Cora. She grunted in effort and created a large energy blast to keep the fire at bay. However she didn't have time to recover when Jasmine suddenly came charging toward her. Her fist connected with Cora's chest and sent her flying across the street, slamming into a parked car.

Jasmine laughed, revealing in the destructio. She walked over to Cora, grabbing her by the head. "Well. Looks like I'm the more powerful one. Maybe you needed your team after all." She remarked. She was about to slam her head into the car, when suddenly she felt considerable force strike her right in the face. It wasn't too effective, but it got her attention.

It was Katie, punching. "Don't you hurt my friends Jasmine." She spoke. She looked to her hand for a brief moment. What did she just do-?

She was interrupted in her thoughts when Jazmine charged her. She suddenly grabbed her opponent and picked her up as if she weighed nothing, because for a moment she did, then tossed her. Katie then realised what she was doing. Tactile density manipulation. Neat.

"You okay?" She asked Coraz

Cora admired Katie's bravery but was scared when Jasmine grabbed her. "Katie!" She called. Suddenly though Katie was grabbing Jasmine and tossed her aside like she weighed nothing. Cora was shocked, how had Katie done that? She'd have to ask after they were done with this. Katie then came up to Cora and asked if she was okay, "Ya I'm fine. Thanks for helping me back there. She's strong Katie, we have to find a way to stop her." Cora said to her, getting to her feet and readying herself to fight again. "We'll have to work together, if we do that we can beat her."

"Yeah. Perhaps we should fuse together and-" she turned around, frowning as her opponent had left suddenly. Her minions were still there, but seemed to quickly crumble to dust without her presence. Katie walked up to the dust and sifted through her hands. "We should let her go... I think we need to do some research. Find out what we're up against." She paused then, finally deciding to explain. "She was... My ex girlfriend. I broke up with her once it started getting... Wierd. We stayed friends... Though aparantly she wasn't happy with just being friends at all." She commented, sighing.

Cora didn't like the idea of giving up, but Katie was right. They needed to know what they were up against. She knew that there were some details that she was missing but Cora wouldn't pry if Katie wasn't interested in telling. However Katie began to explain. She was her ex-girlfriend? Cora was surprised by that, but figure Jasmine must have been different then something had gone very wrong with her. Cora took Katie's hand. "Katie, whatever happened to her is not you're fault. If there's anything we can do for her we will." Cora said softly, trying to comfort her friend.

"Come on, let's get back to the tower." She said to a Katie when suddenly a red sploch caught her eye. "Katie, I think you must have cut her when you threw her!" Cora said, flying up to the tower's lab at top speed and quickly coming back with a test tube, gathering as much of the blood as she could with an eye dropper. "We can test the blood, to see what happened to her, come on!" Cora said, grabbing Katie gently by the waist and flying her up to their base. She knew that Katie didn't like when she did that, buy Cora was excited and determined and got a bit carried away.

"Hey! What no-!" Shouted Katie as she was picked up. She squirmed, then sighed. When they were both on top of the tower she crossed her arms ."Just tell me next time you do that and I'll fuse... Plus I can make my own way up." She then took the blood and swirled it. It was a bright orange red, like lava. "I'm half expecting this to burn through the glass. She walked down the roof stairs and head towards the lab. "I think magic might be involved or something, we may have to talk to Valency too."

On they were on the roof she frowned at Katie's words, and knew that she wasn't happy with her. "Sorry Katie, I was excited. I should have remembered that you don't like that." She said apologetically.

Cora then looked at the the blood swirling in the container. It was certainly a disturbing color. "We need to test this, maybe we can develop an antidote or a suppressant." She said to Katie as they headed down toward the lab. She then spoke up again softly. "Katie... you said things got weird with Jasmine, what did you mean? I'm sorry if it upsets you and I won't force you to talk about it, but it might be important." Cora said to her, looking her in the eyes.

Katie paused. "She started getting... Wierd..." She paused, struggling to explain it. Their relationship had gone so well. What went wrong...?

Months ago
Katie smiled as she knocked on the door of Jasmines apartment. She hummed a happy tune, content with her girlfriend and happy with her life as always. Though... Something had been off lately. She had her hands behind her back, concealing a gift she got for Jasmine.

The door opened. "Hello?" Spoke a voice. Jasmines voice. "Oh! Katie! She spoke as she opened the door wider and hugged her. But then frowned. "Where were you? I thought we were going to meet earlier..."

Katie awkwardly sighed. "Yeah... So sorry. I had to work with Eric on somethi-"

"Eric? How much time have you been spending with Eric?"

Katie frowned. Suddenly a little concerned. "Well... A little each day'. I mean we are working on a project together-"

Jasmine glared at Katie with such intensity that Katie back off a bit. "Jasmine. Why-"

"Your not allowed to see Eric anymore. "

Katies frowned. "What?." She paused. "Jasmine are you okay...?"

Jasmine gritted her teeth. "I don't want you to see him again! Understand? I can't trust you! You think I'm ugly so you'll sleep with anyone but me, and your mine! I love you! But you don't love me..."

Katie paused her eyes widened. "Jasmine are you..?"

"Didn't you hear me? I don't want you seeing him again!" Jasmine replied. "You're just such a big stinking liar, you knew that? You say you want to be together but you keep disappearing for days on end or when you don't talk about where you've been! Your probably already sleeping with-"

Katie took the abuse, her unkind words piercing her. Upsetting Katie. Then, perhaps it was stress, or maybe she was just cornered, but Katie snapped. "Fine!" She snapped. She handed her gift was considerable force. Jasmines eyes widened as she saw it.

"That's why I was working with Eric. It's a gift. You said you liked superheroes, so I got Eric to make you your very own utility belt." Spoke Katie, glaring at Jazz while she looked at it. Tears came to Katies eyes. "I was going to spend the day with you and give this to you before lunch, which I booked at a fancy restaurant! But I guess you don't want to be around someone as 'untrustworthy' as me!" She snapped viciously, then stormed back towards the elevator, pressing the button and getting in. Once the doors closed, she frowned.

Ive been so busy and distant these past few months... It's actually kinda understandable she would be paranoid. I... I shouldn't have snapped at her... Fuck...

Meanwhile Jasmine had wailed "Wait!" Far too late when the elevator doors slammed shut. She banged her fist against the door. Groaning. "I'm so sorry... I didn't mean it..." She spoke. She was now weeping.

Present
"I'd rather not go into it. Let's just leave it at the fact she starts to get possessive and controlling. She started to get paranoid that I was dating someone else too. And after a while I couldn't take being second guessed at every turn..."

Cora could tell that whatever Katie was thinking about was troubling her deeply. Cora wondered what it saw, but wouldn't pry any further. If Katie didn't want to talk about it then that was the end of it. Cora felt really bad for Katie. She was such a nice person, she cared for everyone, she didn't deserve this trouble. Cora wrapped her arm softly around Katies's waist and held her close. "I'm sorry Katie. I know what it's like to be haunted by your past. But I'm here for you like you were me, and I'm not going anywhere. We'll figure out some way to fix this together. We'll get Jasmine the help she needs." Cora assured her when the reached the tower's lab.

Cora being an android had an advanced theoretical knowledge of anything that her mind downloaded. However she only had a few weeks of actual experience in the lab, so her theoretical expertise only went so far. She placed the vial of Jasmine's blood into the blood chemical analyzer to test for irregularities and find out its properties. She also ran a program on the computer to test for known poisons and chemicals that lead to mutation. She then turned to Katie. "This will take a little while, I'm going to speak to Valancy while we wait. Want to come?" She asked her friend, not sure if she'd want to be along or not in that moment.

"I imagine so." Replied Katie, she then nodded. "Thanks... I... I feel like... It's kinda my fault to... If I could have done something... Helped her..." She paused. "yeah. We should go see Val. She probably knows more about this than us."

Mir could already sense, see, and hear the general animosity between the two girls almost instantly, with Val scoffing at Ashy's notion of 'getting with' her boyfriend, "Like you'd have a chance with Max." She spat back at Ashy, "So sorry that I don't give you the center of attention like every other testosterone junkie in this place." She further said, shooting her eyes at Mir, who simply shrugged, almost in agreement.

"Ladies, ladies..." Mir said calmly, "Look, we seem to be dealing with some...tensions, right? Some anger, too?" Mir nodded his head over to a medium sized cage, an octagon, designed to be similar to a mixed martial arts ring, "I know you don't like each other right now, but why not settle it on the mat? That's one thing that calms anyone down, hitting the person you dislike. And hey! A lot of times, you leave having a new found respect for the other person."

He looked from Ashy to Val, though stayed his eyes on Ashy for a bit longer than the other girl, causing Val to roll her eyes. She stomped over a small shelf on the wall next to the cage, throwing on a pair of fighting gloves - the tips of her fingers slightly poking out and giving her enough mobility in the hand to effectively grapple. She nodded, turning back to Mir and Ash, her attitude changing a bit for the better, "I'm game, if you're up for it." She said, finally talking to Ashy as if she was a regular person instead of some vile demon offspring.

Well. I don't nessecarily disagree on that point. From what I've seen I have to say they are meant for one another, and I would never try to tear two soulmates apart. the Vokornians have a unified theory on love, one similar to that of humans where an individual has another who is meant for him/her.

Ashy feigned disgust when the suggestion of fighting came up. "Hand to hand combat to solve a dilemma? How barbaric." She spoke, though there was a joking nature to her words, revealed by a mischievous grin. "Can't wait to start." She spoke, as she teleported into the ring. She flexed her fingers, and got into a fighting stance, though one likely unfamiliar to either Mir or Val.

"So... Any rules? All out face beating match, or shall we limit our powers." She remarked. "If we got for the former, I have the feeling this battleground might not survive for long." She remarked.

Daniel Carter/NightBlade-38 Yrs-Devil's Den

I listened intently to the information on the Joker as it was presented. How he appeared seemingly at random around locations, where Batman had defeated him, but as per his MO...there was no obvious pattern. The Joker is a wild card, always has been. Either in this world, or my own. I noticed each and every mention of locations. The chemical plant, Amusement Mile, Water Reservoir, Power Plant....it then took a moment to make my own guess. No, more like a prediction, based off my experience with the Clown Prince of Crime. "Funhouse Toys." I stated flatly, and then explained. "It should be his next stop, it is a defunct company which used to make cheap toys for poor families, based in the narrows of Gotham. Several scams about safety issues regarding the quality of their toys eventually shut the business down, laying off a thousand employees, and skyrocketing crime in the Narrows. The place used to serve as a base for Joker, and it is just his taste." I then continued to speculate as I began to notice Ceecee, seemingly...talk to herself? I read her lips and used that to deduce, from the structure of the statements and vocabulary, it was a symptom of some sort of multiple personality. I chose to act as if I did not notice though.

"And if I am right, by the time we arrive, Jester and possibly Silver Queen will be hot on our heels, if they are not already close to there now." I then looked over to Mia, non verbally extending the invitation to spectate our 'practice bout' in the arena. A event I am sure she will be ecstatic about. "As for your rules, they sound fair. First to fall three times loses." I then remembered that this...soldier...mercenary, had fought against Killer Croc back at Arkham. A impressive feat.

"I have head about your fight with Killer Croc, even in my own world. I had never faced him. Not even as Batman." I left the fact unsaid that while she was fighting Killer Croc, a formidable foe, I was battling against the likes of Deathstroke, Deadpool and Lady Shiva. A battle, that was televised throughout Gotham, so she likely knows about that regardless. All of that aside, I am confident that she is skilled in martial art capability. Not to mention she has her own arsenal of technology, much like myself. But as the rules state, this is just hand to hand fighting. She may be a soldier, but I have bested humans, assassins, aliens and machines using hand to hand. Building my career on making myself so skilled in martial arts, that it would not matter if I have powers or not.

So, as we both entered the Arena, I looked her over, before deciding. That I should hold a keen edge under the guidelines set. As soon as we stepped into the ring, I could see holographic and magical displays go up. Bets and votes began being racked on them. A 'Unknown vs the Club Owner' naturally the bets leaned heavily in her own favor.

I began to wonder if that would change if this establishment knew that I was Sentinel?

Mia watched from the best vantage point in the club, and I slowly, entered into my first chosen position. My suspicion was that being a soldier, she would be unaccustomed to combating unusual or unconventional fighting styles. The stance I entered, displayed my chosen style as capoeira. A style which uses speed, acrobatics, dance and music in it's form. Perfect for the club setting.

At the start of the round, I decided to make the first move, choosing not to seem as If I am holding back against Ceecee. As I moved in for the fight, I did not do so in a predictable fashion, such as a dash or guarded advance, but in a weaving series of flips, spins and dance like moves that seemed almost as if my first kick, was on beat to the beat of the music in the club, as in a moment I moved in a sporadic pattern and positioned myself to make what was a powerful spinning aerial kick given momentum from a whirlwind of a spin. Producing more than a thousand pounds of force, all while keeping my upper body, arms and elbows balanced so that I could rapidly flow into the same unpredictable dance movements for another attack.

Certain, that my tactic of turning her military training, into her greatest handicap.

August Carter-20ish Yrs-Devil's Den

From what I could tell, my father had not left the Devil's Den, on the contrary, he seems to have entered the Arena once more. I did not pay attention to his opponent, instead keeping myself in the Hero's Cafe, with a light meal just placed in front of me, as my helmet rested to my right side on the counter. Sitting atop a stool, I took a bite from a rather...delicious ice cream, eating my dessert before my main course. Retaining my child like eating habits, being magically revived and physically older, does not mean that I naturally matured mentally. That is not really a handicap, but I am sure I may get a odd glance when I stop in gas stations and purchase bags of candy rather than cigarettes.

I closed my eyes though, as the flood of thoughts hit me.

I...I dont remember...

I cant remember how I died. I also cannot remember anything to explain how I am still alive. I reached the conclusion it was useless to dwell on it now, and to comfort myself with the delicious Banana Split. Instead turning my own attention to how to get through to my dad. He does not believe I am...well...me. Although I cannot say I blame him.

My mind pondered those thoughts, until it was interrupted by, not by the emptiness of my now gone ice cream, having finished it all. But rather from a girl, err woman...entering the Cafe. My head turned, a dumbfounded expression on my face.

Is that....Chorus? Holy crap! The popstar, she....HERE? I am like, the biggest fan. I mean, Sis gives me so much crap for liking a pop artist, but she's different.

I averted my gaze and tried to hide my flushing face. Knowing I likely get even an autograph from the celebrity. My eyes then hit my helmet, and...I realized...realized I am a hero for crying out loud! I can probably get a lot more than an autograph! Like...a date!

I wonder if she will like my video game collection....

Not thinking about it, I scooped my helmet up and immediately thrust it on my head. Hiding my crimson red cheeks. I stood up, payed my tab....in change. And puffed myself up sticking my armored chest out. Approaching the woman unaware she could not speak, even if she wanted to.

"Uh, hello there..." I started off nervously. o, I need to sound more confident. Girls love confidence! Altering my voice somewhat attempting to sound 'more manly' oblivious to my already developed adult voice in my new body, rendering the whole effort pointless, I started again.

"I am...Ranger." I said with what I thought was a suave tone. "Well, I happen to be a major fan of yours, ya know...when I am not...fighting bad guys and stuff. I was just wondering, if instead of a autograph we could...." I then nervously looked back to the Cafe, and the idea of more ice cream hit me.

"You could have a ice cream with me. I could get you a Banana Split...good stuff." I finished, actually satisfied with how I handled my introduction. Seeing as she could not see just how inescapably scared I was, seeing as I was hiding behind my helmet. But my weak knees sure gave it away.

Chorus was looking at the door of the club, waiting for her target to come waking though, but she never did. But then she got distracted by someone talking to her. She looked up at the man before her while swirling her drink.

She paused. She was fairly certain this guy wanted more than just to get her ice cream. Though why he would want to get her ice cream instead of a drink was unclear. She could smell his nervousness like a dog could smell fear. She didn't even need her soul reading power to do so. She almost wondered whether he was a real fan or was just saying that to get with a celebrity, but the shaking knees made her think otherwise.

"..." She opened her mouth to speak but no words came out. She frowned. Verse offered to help her but she turned him down. She though a talking sword might freak him out. He looked nervous enough as it was.

Instead she grabbed a piece of paper and a pen from her bag she usaully kept Verse when on tour, and began to write.

Seems almost dramatically convinent for you to have that...

Im not complaining...

She held up the piece of paper, saying.
Sorry. I lost my voice while at concern. I having trouble speaking.

Not a lie, but a half truth at best. It was less lost and more "stolen".

I wouldn't mind some Ice cream at all. In case you couldn't tell, this has been a rough few days.

That wasn't too much of a stretch to assume from how she was dressed, cuts and tears everywhere, and her hair was a mess.

"Well, I'm going to keep calling you Nighty..." She remarked. "I'm not sure. Shadow Knight could work because of your umbrakenisis, but it sounds a little corny..."

The woman below smiled up at the two of them as Katie traveled through the wires in the building to arrive down at the street. The woman was tall, at least eight feet tall, which made the short Katie feel even more short. She frowned self consciously. "Can we help you?"

The demon looking woman laughed and flexed her wings. She looked intimidating, yet extreemely attractive at the same time despite her more demonic features.

"I have come to challenge you "Justice Queens" to see who the real queen of the city is!" She spoke. "I, Queen Jasmine of the Daemons from the abyss, have come to claim this city-"

"Look. I know you have a whole speech prepared, but this is New York. Not Middle Earth. You can skip the fantasy stuff and just get to the point." Jasmine? wondered Katie, before she reasoned this probably wasn't the same Jasmine. Hopefully.

Then she realised this demon queen looked really familiar, and sounded pretty familiar too. Of course she was much prettier and had a melodic voice that Jasmine didn't, a lack of glasses and quite a few feet of height-

Oh dear god no... It's her.

"Very well..." Spoke the deamon queen. "I wish to fight you all."

"All of us? The others are busy. You got me and Infinity. That should be more than enough."

I don't think she's here for any of that demon crap... We're not the most well known at the moment. Then why is she here?

The deamon laughed. "You underestimate me! It will hardly be a challenge to deal with you two worms!" She then smiled Emily. "I'll make you all my slaves! And I'll have a special purpose for you Katie..."

Fuck... she knows... How does she know? Katie suddenly felt something and quickly dodged one of her minions that had been thrown at her with speeds that would make a bullet jealous.

"I sincerely doubt we're just gonna go around murdering people. I believe the expression is few and far between... You can call me whatever you want. And I like that. Shadow Knight." This was more fun than he ever had. Who knew not being hunted and then slaughtering said hunters would be fun? "Normal couples have a house and stuff... I've got nothing... Unless you've got an apartment or something."

"Eh. We'll see. All goes according to plan we probably won't have to kill anyone at all." She paused, then sighed. "Nope. Completely homeless. I kinda just sleep wherever. I mean I can summon a bed..." She remarked. "I do have money too. Once let the government study me for a bit. Thankfully they didn't screw me over or anything. Which is actually kinda surprising all things considered." As she spoke, she leaned into Nightmare, their bodies pressing against one another.

He was terribly curious and couldn't help himself. He got up quietly and headed toward the JQ headquarters to see what they were all about. He was worried that Valancy might get mad, but then again he didn't fully trust her yet, he needed to see for sure.

Cora smiled when Valancy gave her the cookie and she accepted it. "Thanks Val, the blood analysis should be done right about now. Let's go check." She said as they headed back to the lab to check on the sample, hoping Jasmine's blood would tell the story as to what happened to her.

Kate rushed to take a look at the blood analysis. She frowned. "Well, I don't really know much about biology and blood, but I know enough to know that there's a lot of stuff that shouldn't be in there... And it seems..." She pressed the buttons on the machine. Perhaps that could point to some external source giving her power and energy?

She...cant speak? In fact, looking at her now...I have never seen her look so bad. Her face is stained, hair a mess, clothes dirty and really...I almost feel bad for asking her at all. But then, at least she did not die. Things can get worse right? Of course, is dying really that bad if you dont remember anything from it? Eh, who knows. I then motioned for her to sit at the same bar in the cafe I was previously at. Placing myself upon one of the spinning cushioned stools I began to swivel in my seat slightly as I sat, as I removed my helmet, praying I was no longer blushing....as badly.

"Sorry about your voice. I have had a rough day too." I mentioned, placing my helmet next to me, as I signaled the waitress and requested two banana splits, with caramel covering.

My mind raced with what to talk to her about...her career? No I bet she hears about that all the time. My video games? Nah, she does not look like a gamer. Eventually I simply started with my own name.

"My name is-" I stopped myself just short of introducing myself. Having a revelation. You know what is even cooler than a name? A superhero name! Yeah, I will introduce myself as my hero alias. The problem is....I dont have one!

I stammered for a second, stalling for time until I thought of something, before finally saying the first thing which popped into my mind.

"I'm...Ranger. Thats what they call me anyways." I turned red a bit as I realized how cheesy that sounds. So i decided to turn the conversation towards her.

"So, is Chorus your real name? Or just for shows?" I asked, trying to distract her from my fumbling. Just as the ice cream arrived, which I did not notice as my eyes were transfixed on the girl in front of me. Which would make anything wait...even ice cream.

Chorus raised an eyebrow at the man before him. She began writing again and then showed him the writing.

So "Ranger" do you have a real name? I understand if you don't want your identity revealed or whatever

Chorus is a stage name. My real name is Alissa.

She stopped writing and had a bit of her drink and some ice cream. She was careful to pace herself on both ends since getting drunk would be bad and a brain freeze would be worse. She began to write again.

Im assuming your a superhero... You are one right?

She put one of the drops of blood under a microscope. "These cells are moving, I've never heard of blood like this. The toxicology machine hasn't been able to detect any poisons in it. Something must have mutated her blood to be like this. We'll have to find the source if we want to synthesize a cure."

Roy meanwhile had wandered around the JQ headquarters, and went to their computers systems and their archives. He sat down and began to quickly search through everything he could find. He saw some footage and newspaper headlights that chronicled them fighting crime. Roy was trying to hack into all their passwords, but their security systems seemed pretty tough. He was determined though, he needed to see if they were hiding something.

"I think we might need more-" she paused for a second. She could feel another presence in the JQ section of the building with them. "Hold that thought. I'll be right back. See if you notice anything Val." She spoke. She then disappeared, going through the electrical system and to the computer being accessed. She then suddenly popped up, sitting on the keyboard of the computer Roy was access, pushing him back slightly. "Does the "No boyz allowed" sign not mean anything anymore? is it the z instead of s? The blatant yet hillarious sexism? Or are we just so irresistible we draw men like magnets?" She joked, smiling. "Now, why were you trying to hack our system exactly?"

Roy was still working at hacking the network when suddenly Katie came popping up out of the computer and pushed him back. Roy shouted in surprise and nearly fell over his chair in surprise. He listened to her speak and he knew he was busted. How the hell did she know what he was doing? And how did she cone through the computer? Then he remembered that he had read at her abilities in her file. He should have realized that she might be able to sense his activity. Luckily Katie didn't seem too mad at him. He noticed that she had a kind smile and a calming presence. Then she asked why he was hacking their system. He knew he shouldn't lie at this point so he spoke honestly. "To see if you're who you say you are. I know this was dishonest, but I had to be sure. I've been taken in by bad people in the past. I couldn't let that happen again." He told Katie honestly.

"Well technically, we're not who we say we are. After all there's the whole secret identity thing, though naga and Val don't seem to do that much." She explained. "We're superheroes really, I think you figured that out by this point (Should really put our files on the restricted section.) but really we keep that secret to protect ourselves more than anything."

"I understand you must be distrustful of us, but please understand that eveb though we're doing good and stuff, we have secrets we need to keep. Things that can't really get out and that we can't tell you unfortunately." She explained.

Val's lips curled into a sweet, yet vicious smile at Ashy's acceptance of the offer, nodding to Mir to see if he was alright with this development as well. "Well, I think this ring keeps our powers to a limit. Something Max copied from some sleazy bar in Gotham. We can shut it off if we need to, but why don't we go just based on skill for now?" She asked Ashy, Mir stepping into the ring as well, taking a spot between the two ladies. Looking from one to another, he nodded in confirmation.

"I'll referee this fight, I suppose. No cheap shots, hair pulling, things like that. Strikes, grabs, throws, all are acceptable. Understood?"

Val nodded quickly, "I don't doubt your power right now, Ash, but I do think your skills might be rusty since you last used your body." Mir looked at Val with some confusion, wondering how the girl knew about this, to which, she responded readily. "What? I can eavesdrop if I want to." She sneered, sliding a mouthpiece into her jawline and clenching her gloves together, bouncing up and down to warm up before lowering her upper body and bringing her hands up to protect her face - swaying her shoulders side to side as well.

Mir sounded in his most official voice possible, "Alright then, begin!" Val launched forward with aggressive offense, stepping into a powerful straight punch with her right hand, but it served only as a diversion, executing a by-the-book one-two punch except reversed, with her right hand being the lead while the left was the main attack, bringing it full-force with the added momentum of the first blow, her aim at Ash's head despite her foreign fighting stance.

Ash shrugged. "That sounds acceptable. I would make this a magic duel, but that wouldn't work seeing as you don't really have any magical powers or skills. Your boyfriend does though however... I will have to see what he is capable of there..." She commented idly, getting off track. She realised this and focused once more.

"You're probably not wrong." She replied to the comment about rusty skills. "Well have to see. Even I can't remember how this body works. It's been so very long."

Sharing the attack coming, she reasoned it would be a strike towards the face, considering her opponent was pissed with her and would like nothing better than to see her face bloodied and marred. She didn't even need to read her mind to guess her behaviour patterns. She had studied psychology, behaviour and human minds for some time, so her knowledge and experience would give her the edge in this fight, while her opponet would be used to things like pain and, like she said, ash was a little rusty. Her form was far from perfect and she hadn't put too much attention into hand to hand combat. After all she was a scientist.

As a result, she quickly took action. She dodged the attack to her head by ducking. She then counter attacked with a forceful strike to the stomach. She quickly popped up again, hopping back to react to whatever came next. Allthough, she found herself suddenly distracted by somewhat foreign thoughts, yet they were familiar too...

A thousand eons of numb darkness have robbed our people of sight.

"The blind cannot see the light they must find. And so the people need a sheppard to guide them to-" she stopped herself, realising she had been whispering something. The other two might have heard her, and Val would definetly know she is clearly disteacted...

"Damn, Rocky." Odysseus said. Your GF's beating the shit out of that Android. He sure is getting his ass handed to him."

Magnus shuddered. Every blow tina dealt to the android was letting off at least a Magnitude 7 or 8 earthquake. Packing the energy of 30+ atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima, it was amazing how the android was managing to maintain intact. As well as having his metal insides tore up by the Archon, he seemed to be visibly choking up blood, from each blow.

The android decided it was enough. Muscles rippling and clothes tearing, he flexed his muscles as he pushed forth his palm, Catching the Archon's rocky fist. Exerting a massive amount of force into his palm, he fastened down onto the Archon’s fist, visibly crackling and breaking her rocky arm. He would have then pushed forth a small Ki wave, enough to push the Archon off of himself.

Super 17 stood up, groggily, visibly bruised and scarred from Tina's attack. One arm was limping, while the other had cuts all over. "God damn you both!"

Magnus and Odysseus looked at each other. Super 17's weakness was clear: beatings. He was durable, but so was tina, and she could dish out a whole lot of pain, too. Since he could already tank Myosai's ki based attacks, it was clear that he needed a good beating.

"Tina! Try kicking his ass more! That worked!"

The Android's head snapped towards them both, as he dove down towards them. Feet first, he crushed a car nearby Odysseus, sending out his opposite leg to strike the super soldier. Odysseus held up his weapon, watching in horror as it snapped in half in front of his face.

"Durability buff.." He kept telling himself, visibly feeling his bones and skin harden. "Don't die.."

Super 17's foot connected to his side, and he felt several ribs snap. Odysseus went flying into a building, slamming into the wall with a THUD.

Magnus dove out of the way of Super 17, forming a rocky Volcanic rock barrier around himself. The android lifted his good arm, a Ghastly, black ball appearing in his palms, charged up by red electric bolts. "Tank this, freaks!" He said, flying upwards to Slam the ball downwards.

Myosai snapped to attention, bolting from the building suddenly. Judging by the amount of energy emitted by the blast, it had the destructive capability of several nukes, and likely would destroy them all, if they had not prepared for it.

"Look out!" She called, sending her foot down right onto the Android's neck.

Super 17 went straight down, through several layers of the city. He penetrated the sewers, and the subway systems, finally landing in an abandoned underground complex, likely a bunker system.

As most everyone recovered, they looked down into the hole in which Myosai had slammed 17 into. "Is he down?" She asked.

"Only one way to find out." Magnus said. "Who's going down there to kick his ass?"

Tina frowned. She began to feel a laziness come over her. "Nah. I got a better idea. Let's bring him to us. " She spoke. She pointed at the hole and forced all the earth, metal, gems, Lava... Anything including the android into one big, massive ball of rock and earth. And then she began forcing It to compress. The android would have to make his way out to avoid being compacted, and Tina was ready to slam his face into even more earth. She had a determined look on her face. "No one hurts my friends. No one..."

"It's okay. Just don't do that again please." She said to him. Then her mind turned back to the computer and the usb stick in her pocket. "Almost forgot about you." She muttered, quickly. Just as I had predicted, Ceecee had used the scizzor kick to throw me off balance, and score her second point. While also falling herself, throwing a point in my own direction. She must had believed that the trade off was worth the risk. Perhaps, I have allowed her to get too confident. Regardless, it seems as if she has not suspected me of throwing the point. So, it is time to move in for the end game. I will fight for a win, and I am certain, that a draw will likely fall into place with her head start. As I fell onto my back, I hastily recovered and placed myself up. And entered a stance that was very alien, a form that would be impossible for her to recognize.

That is the case, because the style is that of the White Martians. My most favored alien martial style. One that forgoes almost all thought of defense, and creates a unrelenting onslaught of speed and power. The alien aspect of it, the movements I am hoping will also throw her off form.

White Martian, a style practiced by a now near extinct species. One that could go several rounds with the likes of Superman, so that should convey what kind of power it can achieve in the hands of a white martian. But I am human, so I can only use it to human limits. Even so, it is a brutal style. The reason to use it? Rather simple...

I am showing off now.

I then lurched into the attack, with surprising speed and momentum, delivering a frenzied offensive, of powerful kicks and punches, coordinated in a sporadic pattern and to use the sheer ferocity to back Ceecee into a wall. Where the point will be assured.

August Carter/Ranger-13(20ish Years)-Devil's Den

My real name? She really wants to know? Well, if she is that interested, I suppose I should tell her. I began scratching the back of my head, in my now signature nervous nature. Averting my eyes as I introduced myself. "Well, my name is August." I piped up, keeping my own last name a secret for now.

Alissa? That is much better than Chorus. A beautiful name.

"Alissa, that is a pretty name. It sounds nice, why dont you use that name rather than a stage name?"

I watched as she began to take a sip of her drink and alternate between that and the ice cream.

My own glass was filled with white milk, always a nice treat with ice cream. She then wrote on another napkin, asking if I was a super hero. I had certainly painted myself as one. I gave a sheepish grin.

"Yeah, but...I am pretty new. I was trained by my dad though, he is pretty famous. His name is Sentinel. Also, my mom also trained me some in ki usage and other martial arts, she used to be Robin. But my dad is the strongest at martial arts, no one can beat him." I droned on, oblivious to the fact I was spilling everything about my identity, as my family had been in the news non stop since my father's trial. And my own...disappearance.

Another raised eyebrow. No one can beat him you say? She thought cockily. Challenge accep-

Work some more on your technique, review your sword skills a little more and get your voice back. And then maybe we can do that. Until then you would have to challenge him without a sword.

Chorus paused. You know Sentinel?

Of course. He was on the list.

What list?

There was a pause.

I... can't remember now... I could have sworn I knew

Oh! I know what that is! That's the list of potential wielders for Verse here isn't it?

What? There was a list like that.

Yup. Can't remember why we made it though... Or anything else about it... I think deadpool was on the maybe section.

Before they got too off track, Chorus quickly grabbed another napkin and began writing again.

So you're Daniel Carter's son?
Chorus kept an eye on the news. She remembered little about the trial itself though. She then smiled a little.
So, you're used to talking to celebrities then?

As for my stage name, it's a little hard to explain.

She quickly paused. Then continued writing again after showing him the napkin.

It's more of a Title really.

Also, thanks for calling my name pretty. No one's ever really said that before.

Zarkenis Ultima wrote:-Zarky-

Hanah
Hanah had frowned as she walked to the hotdog stand, the grumpy and aggravated frown she wore when she was hungry. Really, she wasn’t as much of a sourpuss as her sisters tended to say she was, but being hungry, really, really pissed her off. Perhaps it was because she knew she could devour any one of these people at the drop of a hat and they would be able to do nothing about it. Hanah would be lying if she said it wasn’t hard to resist the beast within, to resist wolfing up and nomming on a few humies. Unlike her sisters and most humans, the concept of eating human flesh was not unappetizing to her, and it was only the idea of killing them which made her uncomfortable. Still, it didn’t make it any less hard to not consume some homo-sapien meat, and it often took some willpower to resist doing it when she was hungry. Really people should be more grateful that she doesn’t gobble them up.

So, quite understandably, Hanah had a dirty look on her face as her and her sister walked down to the hotdog stand. Plus there was of course some jealously for her sister. When people stared at her it was with longing and admiration. When they stared at Hanah, it was like the freak show rolled into town. Her furry ears, while cute, tended to get more than a few people gaping. More than a few people wanted to touch them from time to time, which was always awkward. Right now her ears were down and floppy.

Once they got to the hotdog stand, Hanah breathed an internal sigh of relief. Her ears perked up as she was handed her hotdog, which she wolfed down. She would have asked for another (or a dozen) but one look at her sister and she groaned, rolling her eyes. Her sharp canines might be visible as she did so.

”Sis, stop… You’re going to give him a heart attack.” she pleaded, the obvious way in which she was eating the hotdog nearly made Hanah gag. She had never been completely innocent from such things, but she would prefer not to think about her sister…

The wolfish sister noticed Sarah stopped around then, likely not because of what she said. It didn’t seem like she even noticed, much to Hanah’s annoyance. Typical… She thought as she walked with her back to the bank. Though when it was time to focus, she was ready to do so. For all her faults, she was loyal and obedient. In these sorts of situations she needed to stick to the plan and focus, otherwise they could all be screwed.

She walked with her sister to the vault, all the while sniffing and keeping alert to danger. Her ears were open, her eyes scanning every hallway and her teeth bearing every so often, showing threatening canines which would be cute if she didn’t have an expression which could cause a polar bear to wet itself.

When they got there, she sighed. “Nothing. Seems this is going off without a hitch.” She spoke. “Sarah keeping everyone immobilized kinda sucks the fun out of this doesn’t it?” She asked Sam, but then grin wolfishly. “Well. Almost all the fun…” She spoke, as her eyes suddenly turned red, heralding her transformation.

She hoped Sam would step back a bit, as Hanah quickly doubled, nay tripled in hight, the short girl now dwarfing her older sister as she hunched over. Her shoulders broadened as her strength swelled and her muscles did so too. Her bones seemed to snap, her face contorting to become more wolflike as she rapidly mutated, her skin turning grey. Next came fur, which covered her entire body. Then the claws, sharpening her finger nails to throat slitting points and her toenails to dagger sharpness as they pierced through the marble effortlessly. Her already sharp canines and teeth sharpened further, her form expanding again as her muscled strained and rippled. And then she stopped. Leaving a very tall and big werewolf where there had been once a girl. Then, mostly cause she couldn’t help it, she let a howl loose, loud enough for Sarah to hear her.

”Yup. That never gets old…” She turned to Sam, one of the two people who could still understand what she said in this form. We’re almost done sis. she said in response to Sarah Sam just has to break the vault open and I can grab the cash

She then paused. Hey… why am I always the one who has to carry stuff? I seriously get the most boring jobs…

Val tucked down briefly as the punch hit her stomach, but she was a fighter first and foremost, and never had her eyes off of Ashy as she backed away from the moment of impact. Val ignored whatever mantra Ashy decided to chant, some prayer or something, maybe, and instead went in for another series of strikes - each one well-aimed and driven with pure power and intent, aiming for head, body, and arm shots - the girl delivering a brutal side kick to finish off her barrage of attacks. Val realized this early in the fight, though, that Ashy was more logical in her approach whereas Val had training and instinct on her side. Experience be damned.

She danced around her opponent with sharp eyes, watching every move Ashy made to defend against it or counter it, whatever the situation called for at the time. Her steady breathing meant that Val still had a lot of fight left in her, even after a decent flurry of punches and kicks, not being based purely on emotion, but the intent to win.

The first of the strikes landed, waking Ash and putting her back on the defensive. She felt pain, though it was a welcome bliss compared to the numb existance she once knew, and so she smiled, the pain warming her slightly. Then she began weaving. Her style focused on evasion and speed. It had served her well when her magic failed her. Instead of blocking by providing an equal force to her strikes, Ash merely redirected them or dodged around them. The kick she did not count on, however, and she was sent to the side, grunting, though she quickly spun to recover. Her smile only widening the more pain was delivered. "Mmmmh. It feels so damn good to feel pain again." She commented. "So Val... are you having as much fun as I?"

She moved next, like a lithe yet powerful tiger she pounced on her foe, fist aimed right for her opponents face. Though she was able to quickly transfer the force into a sweeping kick designed to trip her opponent. After all though she was enjoying this, she too had a desire to win.

Hell.

He was in hell he knew it. The air smelt like burning carbon and smoke, it filled his lungs and made him cough. The overwhelming scent of sulfur washed over him. It was a smell he was all to familiar with, the smell of burning cities.

Even worse, it was impossible to breath. Every gasp was a choke for air, a desperate plea by his body to inhale, but all that came up was blood, crimson spatter all over his ripped dogi. It was then that the full force of pain washed over him like a ocean wave. Everything was burned, his skin was blistered terribly, and both of his arms past the elbow were black and cracked, blood oozing from cuts and scrapes, and from where the skin had split. Even as air gently rolled over his skin, it felt like he was being dragged along concrete.

A struggling gasp escaped his lips, not as intense as it would have been if he could breath. Then weakness set in, his muscles finally giving out. Despite his eyes being closed, he knew he wasn't dead. if there was a god, he didn't want Hiroshi's suffering to end yet, that'd be to merciful. Who was carrying him? And if it was Claudia, Tomia better be with her.

Shakily reaching his hand out, he grasped onto her shirt, coughing up blood as he tried to speak.

'C-Claudia?"

Claudia frowned as she sat by HIroshi, craddled in her arms. She saw no point in using her air powers to do so when her own strength would do just as well. She stood, wondering where they should go. "Yes Hiroshi?" She answered. "We don't have a lot of time. We need to get you to somewhere you can be healed." She spoke. She seemed vaguely calm, though you could sense the anger she was bottling up for Hiro's sake was... overwhelming to say the least. It radiated off her like heat.

Cora then spoke up, "Well, if we can find the plant and figure out its properties. We can develop a antidote to counter act it's effects. I'll start researching to see what I can find. I have access to the government files. So if anything like this has happened before. They probably know about it." Cora said, setting off to work with determination.

Roy decided to try to help, but he wasn't nearly as good at research as Cora was. In reality it was just an excuse to be close to Cora. After about half an hour he got the courage to speak up with her. "Hey Cora, this is really cool that you have access to all this stuff." He said a but awkwardly. She didn't respond so Roy tried to think of something else to say. "So how did you meet-" He was suddenly cut off by Cora.

"I'm busy, I can't talk right now." She told him plainly as she focused on her work. Roy frowned and looked disenheartened. "Alright, I understand sorry." He said meekly, looking back at his computer to try to hide his embarrassment and that he was upset.

Val glanced at Cora, mentally frowning at Cora's abruptness. "I think I'll be able to find it quicker, Cora. I have a database of every single plant on this Earth up in here," Valancy said, tapping her head. "Just give me a couple minutes..." she said, closing her eyes and focusing. Opening her eyes a few minutes later, she said, "I've got it, but we'll need to recreate the climate in order for it to survive." Pulling on some gloves, she opened a large glass container. Finding some dry ice, she poured it in, lowering the temperature inside the container to far below zero. Then, taking some soil, she put some of that in, and closed it. Shutting her eyes once again, she brought up her hand, and created the plant. "Well, there it is. Give me a few hours and we'll have our antidote."

Pulling up a chair and paper, she began the math necessary, summoning the necessary plants and herbs, along with taking a vial of her own blood. Her healing power would have to be part of the process. Then, turning to the plant, she stared at it, conversing with it through her mind.

Katie nodded. She pulled up her own chair, and though she couldn't talk to plants, she was staring at it too. A look of concern and sadness on her face, guilt evident as she seemed to be willing this plant to grow." Eventually fatigue began to catch up with her and she simple collapsed in her chair. She had been working hard after all. She fell asleep near Val. She had the chairs recline setting on so that she could lean back all the way, so she slept quite comfortably, but was plauged by bad dreams...

Some time later.

It was darker, Katie could tell that immediately, though not the fact she was awake. She inhaled and exhaled, fear in her eyes evidence of the dream she had. She looked around, And sighed. She noticed there was a blanket on her lap, covering her. She wondered whom had put it on her, but didn't give it much thought. Seeing the plant still growing. She sighed. "You sure are taking your time." She muttered. She then remembered Val was here. Or at least she remembered she was here. Honestly she wasn't sure. "I'm going to go check on some things." She mumbled sleepily. Whether anyone heard her or not depended on whether Val or Cora had stayed.

She remembered she had promised to check in on Eric. She sighed as she seeped through the electrical currents of the building, merging with them. She was going at a lazy two hundredth of light speed, sleepily navigating her way to her boyfriends desk-lamp. Popping out in front of it.

"Eric! What did you want to show me?" She asked. She smiled softly as she noticed he was asleep. She then shrugged. He was always the type to go to bed early. She moved to the outer room, seeing on the table a flashdrive, a gift box and a note. She frowned, debating whether to wake him to ask about them or to leave him sleeping soundly. She turned slightly and saw a picture of them together propped up. She took ahold of the picture and her frown vanished once more.

She remembered then when he had asked her out. It wasn't the usual method. He had been quite clever. He knew of her ability to detect electrical charges. So he had sent her a message in morse code using period of electrical current. It was rather corny but it had put a smile on Katies face. Despite his social ineptitude Eric could be quite romantic, sensitive and charming when he wanted to be. She felt as if he was special to her. Very special.

She was about to place the photo back when she suddenly detected a presence. Katies smile dispersed as she turned around, seeing Jasmines face. No longer did she look demonic. In fact she looked radiantly perfect. Blonde hair, blue eyes and an overall almost angelic aura. Though Katie couldn't help but sense this was only skin deep. That it was part of her metamorphosis.

"What are you doing here Jasmine?"

She chuckled, "You never call me Jazz anymore." She replied, moving towards Katie. Though when she saw Katie put her hand up in an attacking posture and electrical current charging. She put up her hands in mock surrender, and expression of amusement on her face. "You used to call me that all the time."

Katie paused, not saying anything, Jasmine chuckled. "My benefactor told me, in case you want to know how I knew. Can't say his name though..."

"What are you doing here?"

"I don't think you get how this works. I'm the strong one now. You're little powers aren't going to work anymore."

"You have yet to prove that."

Suddenly Jasmines fist slammed through the wall next to her. Inches from her face. "Why did you break up with me?!" she asked.

"Because you were taking things too far. You wanted me to comit myself when I wasn't read-"

"Bullshit!" She shouted, pulling her fist back. Katie flinched. Instictively. When she did there was a look of concern on Jasmines face. She walked forward. She put her hand on Katies arm. "I..."

"Can't we start again? When you broke up with me I had no idea what to do... You were the first person to ever be so nice... I just-"

"What the hell are you doing in my apartment?" Asked a voice. Eric. Who suddenly fell back under Jasmine's harsh gaze. Katie put herself between the two of them, only to be roughly hit to the side. Eric tried to run, but Jasmine lifted him up by the throat. Not bothering to be gentle. Eric felt himself choking.

"You!" She spat, bitterly and hatefully. "You stole her from me! You are to blame for all this! We could have been happy together had you not taken her eye."

"Jasmine stop!" Katie spoke, getting up, "You're... confused, I see that."

"Confused?" She asked. Then Jasmine laughed. "I'm not confused. I've never had so much clarity in my life." She spoke. She turn turned to the struggling Eric. "So... fragile. Things and people are so fragile to me now. Cars are paper toys to play with and people fleshy dolls. They break just as easily..." She smiled as she wiggled Eric a bit. She turned to Katie, reaching out to grab her...

"Leave my girlfriend-" Eric spoke. But that's all he said. For when he said that he became the focus for Jasmines rage again, and in rage she subconiously tightened her grip on his neck... untill it broke.

His neck bones did not merely snap, but were pulverized by the force. Eric's face was one of shock when he died, as he fell to the floor. Jasmine had let go of him, just as surprised as Katie was. Katie rushed over to him. She tried to reposition his neck, but found it merely flopped in her hands. "No no no no no no no no." She chanted. There were tears in her eyes as the realization dawned. "No... Please no." She cried as she held his body. Her arms tightened around him.

Jasmine had backed off. She looked at her hands suddenly. She didn't want to do this. She didn't want to cause Katie this kind of pain. The whole idea was to get back together with Katie. Then they'd both be happier. But... then this had... happened.

No. This is better. Katie is now yours only. Who will stop you from taking her?

But.... I don't want her to be sad.

Why does that matter? it's your happiness that matters. Is that not why you got stronger? To take Katie and be happy?

She teared up slightly too. Though that couldn't stop her from saying something. "H-he shouldn't have come in between us. We were happy. We can-"

"Shut up."

Jasmine frowned. She wasn't going to take this. She was powerfull. "What did you sa-"

Katie suddenly leaped from Eric's corpse. "SHUT THE FUCK UP!" She shouted. A blast of electricity hit her opponent and sent her into the wall and shook the whole building. Jasmine blinked and her eyes widened as she saw Katies face. Contorted in rage.

Then. All of a sudden. The entire city went black as the power was sucked towards one building...

"Fun kicking your ass?" Val said, a fist connecting with her face and throwing her off, her legs being swept from under her immediately after. At that point, training and instinct kicked it, her hands shooting out and grabbing onto Ashy's thin, skin-tight workout clothes to pull the girl down as Val fell - all happening in a split second, the Vokornian on top of Val, but Val delivering a kick to the abdomen as it all happening during the fall, rearing back, and delivering another kick to get the girl off of the dominant position. "You betcha."

Val jumped back up and made some distance between herself and Ashy, her eyes still narrow and watching every move, intent to not lose focus.

Mir was watching it all unfold, nodding after each successful combo or strike Ashy or Val would land, impressed at the feminine form and how much power it could produce. Perhaps it was his own upbringing that saw women as the weaker sex, but steadily, he was proven wrong in just this one bout. Though he had power and some skills on his side, Mir knew he was outclassed in technique and pure skill by both of the ladies as they fought, resolving to get better as well. "What was the point of training constantly if a skilled throw can put you firmly on your ass?" He wondered, his eyes trailing to Ashy as his mind subconsciously ogling her firm, toned body in the skimpy clothes.

"Hm. I didn't notice. You punch like a human." Ash joked. Ash once again felt pain, though she didn't let that stop her. She did seem to be hurt, though she wasn't tired. She could taste a little bit of blood from a previous punch to the face. She licked her lips, clearing the blood dripping from her nose. Then she attacked. She went for a right handed punch to the stomach, and then followed it up by moving to another side and unleashing a punishing kick. And then she hopped back, not wanting to stay for the brutal counter attack. In fact, she wanted to see if she could counter her next moves.

"Kidding aside. You fight well Valerie." She commented with a smile. "I should honestly thank you for challenging me. I had forgotten how fun it was to brawl like this..." She commented.

Sarah continued shamelessly flirting with and teasing the blood-controlled tellers and customers of the First Bank of Starling City as she waited. Naturally, everyone present believed that she was waiting for the tellers to finish placing all of the money in the bag, but what she was actually waiting for was for her sisters to finish scooping up all of the cash sitting inside the bank's vault, which was a significantly larger sum that made the money she would've earned by stealing from the cash registers pale in comparison. And yet, because of the sheer magnitude of the spectacle she was putting on for the guards while holding them still by controlling the blood in their veins, no one had yet noticed that the vault had been violated and the money was about to be plundered by Sarah's younger sisters. It had been a wonderfully executed diversion, in her humble opinion.

She was just finishing the very necessary job of turning an indignated, violent guard into a hot and bothered mess, when she heard a beastly howl reverberating through the whole building, originating from the room just outside the vault. At this, she could only smile. What was to others the monstruous noise of an angry beast, was to Sarah unbelievably cute. Hanah was always happy when she was given the chance to transform, so the eldest Grimm sister had come to think of the howling as her little sister's cries of joy. Still, though, it was a bit inconvenient that everyone had heard it as well.

"Whoops. I suppose the jig is up." She softly whispered to herself as she continued putting up her act, for all it was worth now.

Not long after, she received a response to the telepathic message she had sent the others earlier, from none other than her little sister Hanah herself, telling her that everything was almost over and that Samantha just had to break open the vault. Everything was still going according to plan, then, and that was good. Sarah also noticed that there was something different to Hanah's thoughts. They were more animalistic, for certain, more beastlike... but also, and most importantly, they were more cheerful, and this made Sarah happy.

Then, there was the noise of the vault doors being ripped apart and hitting the ground, which was undoubtedly enough to alert everyone.

"What is going on?!" One of the guards demanded of the pale seductress standing in the middle of the bank, but his only reply was a mischievous smile.

"I'm as ready as ever, Sam. Hanah and you just have to grab the money and come up here, and I'll use shadows to get us to the alley." Sarah thought in response to Samantha's telepathic message, and prepared to evacuate herself and her sisters once they arrived with the money. So far, everything had gone smoothly, but Sarah could not help suspecting that something was about to go terribly wrong. Certainly, she didn't have any sort of sixth sense, or prophetic visions like her sister Samantha, but still, she had a gut feeling that things were about to go awry, and she couldn't tell why.

Hanah paused, then smiled mentally. "The strongest... I like the sound of that... I am certainly the toughest of all of us." She commented. She was tempted to flex for a second, but that was too much for even her. Still though, she digressed mentally and walked towards the money. She grabbed her bag and pull out a massive sack from it, that had been crumpled up. She then zipped the bag back up and began tearing out drawers of money and dumping them in the sack. A few more drawers and some spare cash and the bag was full. She smiled, placing the sack over her should as if she was some sort of wolflike santa. She stuck some bars of gold too in for good measure.

She then moved to her sister Sam and bent over slightly. "Want a ride?" She offered. She would be much, much quicker going back with Sam on her back.

"When they can that is." The ice cream was almost gone now, and I was starting to get over my nervousness. "Yeah, my family is pretty strong. My dad is Sentinel, my mom can lift a building easily and used to be Robin. And my older sis can shoot heat beams from her eyes and is not hurt by...almost anything. Minus kryptonite of course."

A streak of sadness then hit my face, plain to see.

"My family may be splitting up. I don't know whats going to happen, I actually have no idea where my family are. My dad left this club, and I have not seen my sister or mom since I..disappeared."

I then tried to fake a smile and change the topic.

"But I will track them down, and everything will be alright. So, what about your family? Are they musicians too?" I asked, as I tried to learn more about her, seeing as she now knows where I come from.

That's cool! My older sister was pretty great too. Though she was no superhuman, she was pretty awesome.

She was the one who got me into music.

Chorus frowned a bit when she was asked about her family. She paused in her writing for a moment. wondering whether or not she should tell him, But then flipped her napkin over.

I didn't really have a super family. Like yours.
My mom and dad divorced when I was young. They were a celebrity couple so there was a lot of politics and cameras on our lives. So we ended up being used in publicity schemes and the like.

My older sister took care of me the best she could. And eventually I found a way to escape the spotlight for a bit. Part of the reason I have my sword.

She indicated the sword on her back.

But yeah. When i got back it seemed like she had disappeared too...

She paused again. Then grabbed another napkin. The one she used being covered in writing by now. She hand the one she was working on to August so he could read. Then she wrote.

Hey. Would you want to do something else? Like... fight crime together or some-

The Devil's Den

The celebration at the Devil's Den was amazing and DeeDee was having the time of her life, but she felt like checking out the Superhero Cafe, it was ironic to her that she owned something with Superhero in the title. Upon arriving there she noticed a friend, the only friend she made so far in Gotham truth be told, chances are the only friend she has not counting CeeCee. Everyone else is either an enemy, a random encounter or a booty call. It was Chorus, she wasn't really sure if she counted as a friend though, they only met once and she had to leave her when she headed towards Metropolis, but even if not a friend, then the closest thing DeeDee had to a friend, besides CeeCee.

Without saying a word she walked up to Chorus from behind and felt like saying a quick hello by sneaking up close to her and whispering in to her ear "Hey gorgeous." and giving Chorus's cheek a quick lick followed by instantly backing off as experience had told her that more often than not leads to a smack in the face. Still worth it though if that happened.

DeeDee giggled a bit, a bit loudly before making herself known "It's me DeeDee, how's it going Chorus? Got your voice back yet? Considering you never drank my blood I'm assuming things must've gone great meaning a good chance you have your voice back." It was only at this point DeeDee actually noticed she was here with someone "Ooh, got yourself some company here, who is he? A friend? A lover? A friend with benefits?"

Before allowing any answer to be given to any of her questions DeeDee quickly shouted a command at the barkeep "Hey Gary, throw me a bottle of whatever, as long as it's strong" "Sure thing Boss, catch" A bottle of sake was thrown out in the direction of DeeDee, it wasn't selling that well so far compared to the other beverages so the bottle the barkeep had at the ready wasn't opened yet. "Thanks Gary, keep up the good work." DeeDee opened the bottle and took a swig from it as she waited for the responses from Chorus and her friend.

At this time DeeDee felt pain coursing through her, CeeCee was being electrocuted, but wile she was in great pain she wasn't suffering any wounds. DeeDee was sure CeeCee would be fine, she had confidence in her. And DeeDee was much better at tolerating pain so she didn't even react in the slightest to the pain she felt and thus continued as normal.

Chorus' eyes widened, but then she realised who it was and raised an eyebrow in her direction. Her first instict was to reach for Verse and cut her head off. But she sighed and rolled her eyes. She grabbed a new napkin, wiping saliva from her cheek and then she grabbed another napkin to write on.

Haven't got voice back yet. And so far he's an acquaintance.

Cora watched Valancy take over and begin to synthesize the plant. She didn't mind, she forgot that Valancy would be able to do this much quicker than she would. Eventually it started to get late and they all decided they should get some sleep and wait for the plant to finish growing. Roy was led back downstairs by Valancy while Cora saw Katie sleeping comfortably on a reclining chair. She smiled and grabbed a nearby blanket and gently laid it over her best friend while she slept. Cora frowned a bit when she saw the troubled expression on her face. Cora brushed the hair out of Katie's eyes gently and headed to her room to sleep as well.

Roy had trouble sleeping that night as his usual nightmares filled his head. His fears weren't about his past or even his vengeful adopted father, but about him killing. It was his greatest fear, that one day his darker instincts would take over and he'd become a killer. He woke up with a fright when suddenly the building filled with bright light, as if it was surrounded by it. It hurt Roy's eyes terribly and his head seared with pain. He shouted in pain for a few moments before it overwhelmed him and he passed out on his bed.

Cora had jumped out of her bed as the building filled with electricity and the floor shook violently. She saw where all the energy was going, and she had a terrible feeling about it. She ran into Eric's room and the sight that she had seen was shocking. Eric laid dead on his bed, his neck broken and crushed. Cora put her hands to her mouth, tears in her eyes. How had this happened? She then saw Jasmine on the floor and knew that she must be the cause. Cora had never seen Katie as angry as she was, it was terrifying. Cora knew she would have to stop her before she did something she regretted forever. "Katie" She said softly but so that she could hear it. "I'm so sorry Katie. I can't imagine what you're going through, but don't do what you're thinking about doing. You saved me once Katie, please let me do the same." Cora said, tears flowing down her face.

Katie stood before Jasmine, electricity coursing through every part of her body. Jasmine's eyes were as wide as saucers. She wasn't entirely aware of what was happening, but she knew something had just changed. Katies eyes were closed, though tears could still be seen between them. She opened her eyes, blue from the overcharge of electrical energy, they glowed giving her a more intimidating look. The air smelled of burnt ozone and lightning as an aura of tesla power. She glared at Jasmine. Energy coursing between her fingertips, she lifted her arm as if to attack. But then her clarity was distracted by Cora and Val. Both her friends, one crying and the other looking concerned. She stopped. her expression softened as the energy fizzled and dispersed. She was no longer feeling the clarity of anger. Now the overwhelming gambit of emotions flowed through her as she fell over, no longer able to stand.

Jasmine used the opertunity to escape, breaking the wall of the building and running off into the night. She too had tears in her eyes as she ran. "Katie... I'm so sorry..." She chanted incoherently.

Katie was now weeping. Erics body was gone, but she couldn't help but curl into a ball where it was and cry. She felt guilt, rage, sadness and loss all permeate her mind. She was so angry at Jasmine, yet couldn't help but feel this was all her fault in the end. That somewhere down the line she had caused this.

Hanah
Hanah's eyes had widened when the wizard came. She quickly moved forward, closer to him and in between him and her sisters. She growled, but knew better than to launch an attack just yet. This wizard has all sorts of magical tricks and things he could pull. She wanted to protect her sisters, but experience had told her that bumbling into a trap would be bad. "Looks like Voldemort here can't stay dead..." She said it wolfspeak. "If you guys had let me eat him then we wouldn't be having this problem.

"I don't think that's something you can't say about these things, Masami." Garnet stated as she lashed out with Despair, using the ethereal skeleton hand to bring an enemy closer to her, stabbing it in the gaps between its armor and destroying it swiftly. "You can commend fighter for his bravery, but you can't commend a train for running on the rails or a sword for cutting and not leaving the battlefield." She continued as she released a wall-shattering punch with Agony, smashing right through another demon warrior. Those that remained could be counted on a single hand now. "In short, I don't think these things are even conscious. To me they just look like constructs doing what they were designed to do." She stated.

And then, just like that, they were dead, all of them.

But suddenly, a piercing shriek tore through the air.

"Shit! They were just buying time!" Garnet cursed, quickly mounting onto Shadow and looking at Masami. "Come on!" She said.

The Phantom Horse quickly rode through the rest of the long hallway, and even up the stairs, demonstrating the great prowess of those ancient beasts. In no time, they had arrived at the top of the stairs, having taken much less time to get there than they had fighting the demon soldiers.

They arrived just in time to see what caused the shriek.

Before them stood a terrible monster, a bat-like abomination that was nearly two stories tall and had almost twice that distance for a wingspan. It was absolutely hideous, that was for sure, and the awful shriek that emerged from it, even more so, unlikely as that may have seemed. Upon seeing the two intruders and the Phantom Horse, the creature flew into the air and disgorged a massive sphere of hellfire from its throat, sending it straight towards Garnet and Masami.

Garnet quickly dismounted from the Phantom Horse and leaped out of the way, miraclously managing to evade the attack. She knew that Shadow was far swifter than she was, but she had practically acted on instinct and dove out of the way before remembering that. Looking back, she was thankful to see that Shadow had effortlessly evaded the fire, snorting at its mistress as it strode up to her, but from her perspective, she could not see how Masami had fared, which worried her greatly. Mounting Shadow once again, she began firing up at the enormous monster. It was evident that the demon soldiers had only been stalling until the great beast could be awakened, and she frowned, feeling that ever since all this began, the shadows had been playing her constantly.

"Masami! Are you alright?" She asked, firing at the giant bat. The bullets, however, did not seem to cause much harm.

"I'm fine." Spoke Masami, surprisingly nearby. She had flash stepped away from the blast and was now next to Garnet, her blade out and ready to cut this monster. Though she decided it might be best to err on the side of caution for now. She was brave, but not stupid. She kept her distance, sending out bolts of foxfire. She frowned. She doubted they would do anything.

"So what we fought earlier was nothing more than a diversion?" She asked, "That is concerning. It would imply an inteligence behind this... Though again, I'm not familiar with these foes."

She pulled out her sword. "I might be able to cripple or hurt the beast if I can sneak up on it. I can use illusions to do so, but they'll only work so far. I'll need a distaction" She spoke, before charging up a large ball of foxfire and tossing it at her foe. Hopefully that would do more damage.
