Cora
Cora smelt the burning electricity in the air and saw Katie raise her arm as if to attack. Cora thought she was about to do it when suddenly she stopped. It seemed like all her emotions started to break through at once and Katie dropped to the ground as she seemed overwhelmed by her feelings. Cora took a step to closer to make sure she was okay and unfortunately at this moment Jasmine smashed through the wall and made her mistake. Cora thought about going after her but decided against it. She would find her later and bring her to justice, right now she should be there for Katie. However Cora didn't know what to do for her. The android merely knelt by the bed and took her friend's hand gently. She tried not to interrupt her friend's moment but let her know that she was there for her. Tears were still in Cora's eyes as she grieved as well. Eric had been so kind and thoughtful, and Katie loved him so much. It was so unfair that he had to die.

Samantha Grimm
Samantha knew things wouldn't be good when the wizard deflected her fire balls and sent them back at her. Luckily Sarah was able to bend the shadows to stop them. Then however Sarah was knocked over with a gust of wind, and spikes of ice were flying at Sam and Hannah. This wizard was powerful and persistent. Everytime they fought him it was a close call and they barely made it out.

Hannah knocked Sam away from the spikes. Sam frowned as Hannah charged the wizard. Her sisters were always throwing themselves in front of attacks and charging blindly. She wished they would think before they did something in a fight. She loved her sisters, but she needed to think about what was best for them as a whole before she did anything.

While Hannah distracted the wizard Sam ran over to Sarah. They all needed to be ready to fight if they were going to beat this guy again. She pulled a small vial out of her bag. It was a deep purple liquid, thy didn't exactly look appetizing. She held it out to Sarah, "This won't taste good, but you have to drink it sis. It'll get rid of the pain and help you get back into the fight." She told Sarah. She didn't like seeing her sisters hurt. She was determined to get rid of this guy for good once Sarah was on her feet.

Katie lay there for a while, tears in her eyes as she sobbed her eyes out. She didn't know how long she had been there for, but it had been quite a while. She got up after a short time, sitting up in the bed. She dried her eyes. "I... I should have stopped her. I should have stopped all this..." She spoke, unable to speak very coherently. She looked to Cora, then to Val, Then she looked down. "No one had to die. No one should have died. Least of all him..."

Cora sat on the edge of the bed, holding Katie's hand the entire time. She could barely stand to see Katie cry like this, but there was no way she would leave her side. Katie then finally spoke uo, her voice hoarse from crying. Cora couldn't help but hug her. "Katie... it wasn't your fault. I'm so sorry Katie. We're here for you though. You won't have to go through this alone." Cora told her softly.

Sam put her hand on her sister' shoulder as she drank the potion. She knew it wouldn't be a pleasant experience, but Samantha was impressed with her sister's steely determination to drink it. Instantly Sarah looked much better and Sam smiled when she thanked her. "No problem sis." She said as she smiled. Suddenly hover she heard crackles of electricity and what she saw horrified her. The wizard was a bloody mess, clenched in Hannah's jaws, but he was still alive. How was that possibly. When Hannah was electified Sam shouted ou,"No!" She said in a panicked tone. She knew Hannah would be okay as it wasn't enough to kill her, but it looked like it would hurt like hell. No one hurt her sisters and got way with it. "It's time for you to cool off!" She shouted at him, raising her hands to attack. "Gelida Vita!" She shouted at him as a small concentrated ice Strom fired out of her hands towards him. If it touched him it would freeze him solid instantly.

Finally that creepy wizard was dead, at least for now. The police would no doubt be arriving soon so they had to move quickly. She turned to see Sarah hugging Hannah in concern. Sam thought it was sweet, but Sarah was always worrying about them excessively but right now they didn't have time for that. "Come on, we have to move. Get in the van, I'll drive first. We're leaving the city tonight." She told them, using her darkness claw spell to lift the large amount of money into the van before climbing into the front seat starting the engine and waiting for her sisters to get in.

Samantha Grimm
Once her sisters were in the car, Samantha pulled out of the alley on to a side road as she began to drive away from the back. She had cast a spell that would hide the money from outside view, and would blur the car's license plate to any camera. She heard her sister's question as she drove. "Gotham City" She told Sarah. "It's a good place to lay low and figure things out. You know, like what we should do with the millions of dollars we now have." She said with a smile. She saw that her sisters were very tired from the robbery and the fight. "You two should get some sleep. I'll wake you in a few hours when I stop somewhere for food." She told her sisters. She didn't mind driving first. Besides, she wasn't sure she'd be able to sleep after what happened with the wizard. Even though they had won, it was such a strange feeling she had. He continued to follow and chase them, and every fight he seemed to get tougher. How were they supposed to stop him? She drove in silence for a while, not sure whether or not her sisters were awake.

John Morgan "The Flame Guard"
John "Jack" Morgan was on his way to Gotham by plane. He owned a penthouse in the city which would serve as his base of operations during his time there. He didn't visit Gotham much, but the city had been getting increasingly out of control and with the lose of the GCPD, Jack decided it was time to get involved. However he didn't have many contacts in the city, nor was he familar with the here's who usually patrolled this area. As he arrived at his pent house and prepared to go on patrol, he thought about his strategy. He'd have to make himself known, so he decided he'd take the fight to the crime bosses and hit them hard.

Cora
Time was such a strange thing. Regardless of what happened around it, what terrible life altering disasters occurred, time persisted on, unyielding, and uncaring of pervious events. It seemed unfair truly. How could time be so cold? How could people be expected to keep going when their world collapsed around them? Couldn't time just stop for an hour, a minute, a second?

These were the thoughts that ran through Cora's mind that morning. It had been two days since Jasmine had attacked the Justice Queen's Headquarters, two days since Eric died. Katie hadn't come out of her room since then, except to use the bathroom or other necessities. Cora didn't mind, she knew Katie needed time. Cora brought Katie her meals every day, and other than that tried to keep herself busy. She had been searching through police data and radio chatter to get any sign of Jasmine but she had seemed to completely disappear. Cora also went back to her lab and brought back the gravity chamber for her to train in. Nothing she could do however could get her past the fact that today was Eric's funeral.

Cora had woken up very early as she usually did. Being an Android she didn't need much sleep. She got dressed in her training gear and set the gravity chamber to 20 times the Earth's gravity and went to work. She trained for about two hours until she was drenched in sweat. She couldn't get thoughts of Eric's and the look on Katie's face off her mind. She had tried to be strong for Katie but it was hard. She charged angrily at one of the robotic opponents in the chamber and smash it hard to the ground. She smashed into it over and over again until it was nothing but scrap metal. Cora burst into tears and began sobbing in the chamber. About twenty minutes later she went back upstairs and showered, changing into a fresh outfit. She decided to make breakfast for Valancy, Roy and Katie, Naja and Kylie were still away in space and Cora hoped they were alright. Cora wondered if Katie would come out to eat with them, she hadn't in two days, but she'd have to come outside for Eric's funeral today. Cora knew that would be incredibly hard for her.

Cora
Cora was still alone in the kitchen when Katie came out. She had expected her, but Cora was still surprised. She was even more surprised When she spoke up. It had been the first time since that night that she did so. "Pancakes, we've got blueberries or chocolate chips if you want." Cora told her friend as she cooked, the smell of pancakes filling the air. Katie looked so terribly sad, Cora almost wanted to cry again but she knew she had to stay strong and positive. Katie had always done that for her, and it was Cora's job to return the favor.

Meanwhile below, Roy hadn't woken up yet himself. His head had hurt for almost a day after Katie had absorbed the light into the building. He had later heard that Katie's boyfriend had died that night, he felt terrible for her, even though he didn't know her very long. He planned on going to the funeral with Valancy to pay his respects.

Samantha Grimm
Samantha couldn't help but smile at her sister's words. She was glad that Hannah still had a childish side to her. It was very refreshing. Hannah seemed to keep them in line, even if not on purpose. But because Sarah and Samantha were so concerned with raising her and keeping her safe, they were a lot less reckless than could have been. "Well, maybe we'll see some of them Hannah, but hopefully they won't find out about all the money in the back." She smiled as she drove on.

About fours hours had passed of Samantha driving. She wasn't sure if her sisters were awake in the back, but guessed that they weren't. They were an hour away from Gotham, but Sam was starving and needed to eat, and rest. The sun was near setting when they pulled into to a dinner parking lot. Once Sam had parked the car she turned back and spoke to her sisters, "Sarah, Hannah, come on, we're getting something to eat. I'm starving." She said before stepping out of the chair.

John Morgan
The Flame Guard had waited for night fall upon Gotham to begin his patrol. He put his armor suit on and headed off on the roof tops of the city. He had absorbed energy from the sun earlier that he would use in his fight now. He continued to search for a viable target until he found a warehouse near the docks, that seemed to be storing large amounts of weapons caches. He gave a small smile, he didn't know who owned the warehouse, but they wouldn't for long.

The Flame Guard dropped through the roof, surprising the armed guards and thugs in the warehouse. They began firing at him with assault rifles but the bullets seemed to bounce off of his armor. He fired back with his own guns, but these ones fired non lethal rubber bullets. He knocked down a large number of them, some fleeing when they realized they couldn't penetrate his armor with bullets. However one attempted to throw a grenade to stop him. The grenade landed a few inches from him and exploded uninterrupted. "Take that you bastard!" The thug shouted, thinking he had killed him. However the explosion suddenly disappeared, The flame guard had absorbed it.

"Thanks for the snack." Morgan said with a cocky smile, breaking the man's arm with ease and knocking him unconcious. Morgan unleashed a wave of heat towards the weapons cache, that would render the guns unuseable. He wondered what to do with the thugs now however, since the police were no longer operating here.

Hazzel
Soon Hazzel felt Broly approaching. He knew he had to give Claudia and Hiroshi some time, so he stood his ground to fight. This monster had killed a little, Hazzel couldn't just let him get away with that. Anger started to boil in his chest, and he felt himself begin to transform into a monster himself. He was now a huge fury hulk like monster and shouted in rage. In this form Hazzel operated on primal instinct and didn't think rationally anymore. He gave a loud shout, and charged toward the direction of Broly, much stronger than the last time he had tried to fight him.

The Silhouette of Adventure wrote:"What the hell?!" The Commissioner yelled at his men. "What the hell is going on?"
"Explosions here at the docks! Reclaimer is en route with a small patrol!"
"When did Reclaimer get out?"
"I... I don't know, Sir."

"GCD, put your hands in the air!" Retlyer yelled as he broke through the door of the warehouse. He and his small patrol of three men aimed their guns at the men in the warehouse, only to find just one standing- "Put your hands up, Mask." Retyler growled.

Morgan had just finished tying up the criminals when suddenly someone busted through the door. The men called themselves the "GCD" and by their looks seemed to be some kind of militant neighborhood watch. The Flame Guard was not used to be being pursued by police, but then again these people didn't seem to be the police. He didn't have enough energy remaining to melt their guns, but he had enough layer his suit with a small forcefield. Bullets wouldn't be able to harm it anyway, but he didn't want it to get too damaged, doing repairs was annoying. "Look, I'm here to help. Seems like we're on the same side. Besides, you're guns won't hurt me anyway. So I'm just gonna go now." He told them, hopping up onto one of the weapons crate, then pulling himself onto the roof to leave. He needed to find whatever superhero might be patrolling this city at the moment, he knew the batman was gone, but didn't he have sidekicks?

Flame Guard ran across the rooftops of the harbor as he thought about how to get in contact with whoever was patrolling this place. Suddenly he saw a bright light shining in the sky that was in the image of a bat. He smiled to himself, whoever had taken Batman's place was being summoned. The Flame Guard would go to it and wait for them to arrive, to see who they were and if it was worth helping them or not. He climbed across the buildings until he saw the source of the signal. He sat on a near by rooftop and waited for someone to show up.

The Flame guard watched the interaction between the woman who seemed to be the new Batgirl speaking with another woman carrying a cane of some sort. Batgirl then disappeared as someone came up the elevator and soon she reappeared behind him, holding a weapon to his neck and began interrogating him. Flame Guard was impressed, she certainly seemed to know what she's doing. He continued to watch from the shadows, waiting for the right moment to reveal his presence to her.

The Flame Guard was still sitting on the rooftop silently when suddenly a bat shaped projectile came flying based his head and hit the wall behind him. Rather than get angry, he smiled when he saw Batgirl aim another one and ask if he was friend or foe. His suit manipulated the light that he absorbed so that he had nearly perfect vision in darkness. "Well, the answer to that question depends on who asks it." He called to her from the darkness before humping down to her. "In your case though, the answer is friend." He said once he was in full view.

"I am the Flame Guard." He said to her, holdong his hand out in greeting. "I've patrolled cities across the country, Starling, Central, Keystone, but this is my first time in Gotham. I've heard things are bad around here and I figured I'd come by to help. So you're the new bat huh? I'm afraid to say I never met the old one, but I must say I'm impressed."

Elena nodded to him. "Batgirl," shaking his hand in response. "You're correct in that things are bad here, and I'll admit that I do need some help. Welcome to Gotham. As for me being impressive, let's first see if I can restore order, then you can call me impressive or ineffective."

"I like the attitude, now what can I do to help?" He asked her. Despite being a superhero John also had the personality of a soldier. He knew when to take orders and when to give them. He'd serve as muscle in this fight, since Batgirl knew the city much better than he did. He then heard the GCD member complain about John destroying his gang's guns. "Ya, that's why I destroyed them." He called back plainly before he ran off.

John Morgan
The Flame Guard nodded to Batgirl, glad to see that she had a plan. Then a cyborg came flying toward them, telling the Batgirl that he has orders from SHIELD to cooperate with her. The Batgirl seemed suspicious, which was good, you should always be suspicious of strangers.

JQ Headquaters
Cora waved to Valancy as she cooked, "Hi Valancy" she said to her in greeting as she took two plates and filled them with pancakes, handing one to Katie and one to Valancy. Cora knew that Valancy blamed herself for what had happened. Cora had tried to comfort her and tell her it wasn't true but Valancy was determined to find Jasmine. Cora would help her as well, as she wanted Jasmine brought to justice too.

Meanwhile Roy ate a bowl of cereal in Valancy's apartment alone. Valancy had gone up to the JQ headquarters and she didn't allow him up there. He didn't blame her. He had tried to hack into their computer just a few nights ago. He actually really liked living with Valancy so far. Though he seemed to have picked a bad time to arrive. He hadn't told Valancy about his past yet, nor had she really asked. She had been very focused on finding the person who had killed Katie's boyfriend.

The Flame Guard stood by silently as Batgirl spoke to the SHIELD operative. She certainly had the attitude of a proven battlefield commander. She seemed like a natural leader. John was glad this was the person in charge here. This was someone he could work with.

Cora smiled when Valancy thanked her, "You're welcome Valancy, I'm glad you like them." She gave a sheepish laugh and blushed a bit when Valancy asked if it was her recipe. Luckily she didn't seem actually mad about it. "Well ya kinda. I never actually cooked for anyone before I came here." She admitted. "Besides, yours taste so good, I couldn't resist." She added flatteringly with a joking smile. She hoped maybe her and Valancy joking around could help cheer up Katie, at least a little.

The Flame Guard
Morgan had nodded to Batgirl when she told him when to meet her and was about to take off when he heard the commotion downstairs, he climbed to the side of the building and broke into the floor that he saw Batgirl on. There were two new people by the elevator who seemed Ike non friendlies. He landed on a support beam above them. "I'd do what Batgirl says, we don't want any trouble, but taking an innocent girl and throwing her in jail doesn't sit right with me. I doubt it does with you either." He told them, his none lethal assault rifles at the ready of need be.

Cora
Cora heard Katie's words and tried to hide her frown. She had barely eaten half her pancakes when she was done. "You're welcome Katie." She told her in a soft tone. Things were so different around the JQ now. Cora realized how much energy and life Katie brought into building. She was so much fun and so kind, but right now none of that was there. Cora had wished things could go back to normal, but she knew they needed to keep going, the JQs mission was too important not to. She was determined to be there for Katie as long as she needed. She'd never abandon her friend under any circumstance.

Cora
Cora heard Katie's words about the funeral and turned around to look at her. "Of course we're going Katie. You're our friend, we won't let you go alone." She told Katie sincerely. She was confident that Valancy felt the same way. They were friends and teammates, and what were those things for if not for times like this? Cora didn't make herself any pancakes, she didn't really need to eat very often. However she did make herself a fruit smoothie because she needed fluids to survive even though she didn't need to eat. When she was done cleaning up the kitchen she'd head to her room to get ready for the funeral. She couldn't imagine how hard this would be for Katie.

Cora
Cora frowned when she saw Katie walking back to her room, it was clear that she was crying. Soon Cora went to her room to change as well, wearing a black dress that she had bought for the occasion. They then all drove in Katie's car to the funeral, Roy wearing formal attire that Valancy had bought for him.

The funeral was a very sad occasion. Cora tried to stay strong, but couldn't help but let a few tears fall to her face. She hadn't know Eric very long, but he was so kind and caring. She knew she would have become close friends with him, and he had made Katie so happy. After the procession and Eric was buried, Katie was kneeling at his grave along. Cora and the others stayed back, she needed time alone with him. When Katie came back she seemed different however. She looked distracted, but not as depressed as before. Cora wondered what she could be thinking about.

When they reached the lobby of the JQ tower Katie suddenly shot upstairs at high speeds, Co had never seen her move that fast. "What was that." Roy asked in shock. He had never seen Katie move at high speeds before.

"That's one of Katie's abilities. She can moved at high speeds by speeding up the electrons in her body." Cora told the boy. "I'm going to go look for her. I hope she's okay." She said to Valancy and Roy before heading upstairs.

She looked around the tower for her, wondering where she had gone. Finally she say lights on in the computer center and she heard Katie talking to some one as well. She approached slowly until she was standing behind Katie, leaning against one of the processors. "Hey Katie, you okay?" Cora asked softly, concern in her voice.

Samantha Grimm
Samantha rolled her eyes as everyone in the restaurant looked at Sarah. She knew it annoyed Hannah, but Samantha didn't mind. She didn't want their attention, and was glad that Sarah was keeping it off her. When they sat down and the waiter came by, she tried hard not to laugh at Hannah's order and the astonished look on the waiter's face. He didn't seem to write it down at first until Samantha looked at him, "You heard her, she wants everything in the meat section." She said seriously. He finally wrote that down and then she made her order. "I'll have honey glazed turkey sandwich please, and a glass of iced tea." The waiter seemed relieved to have a more normal order and turned to Sarah,
"What would you like ma'am?" He asked her, he wasn't as mesmerized by Sarah's looks now that he was concentrating, but the effects of her supernatural beauty were still there.

Samantha
Samantha just smiled and shook her head at her sisters' behavior. "I can't believe I'm the normal one." She joked. After a little while their meals arrived, well Sarah and Hannah's weren't meals as much as they were whole parts of the menu. Samantha started to eat her food as soon as it arrived. She was quite hungry after everything that had happened today. When she finally stopped to breath, she spoke to her sister, "So should we talk about what happened today?" She asked, she was often the one who kept them serious and her sisters called her a buzzkill. "I thought we killed him in Central City. How did he come back?" She asked in a hush tone.

Cora
Cora was surprised, but releaved at Katie's words. She did seem to be better. Then Katie asked about how Cora had been doing. "I'm fine Katie. These past few days haven't been easy on any of us, but you needed my help and there was no way I wouldn't be there for you."
Cora then blushed a bit when Katie hugged her. She wasn't sure why, it's not like Katie hadn't hugged her before, but this felt different. "You're welcome Katie. You did the same for me. I'll always be there for you." She told Katie as they hugged.

Samantha
Samantha heard Hannah's words as she stopped bitting into the leg of lamb. "Hannah, that wasn't your fault. We can't protect each other from everything, we just have to do our best is all. You've always been there for us Hannah, and we'll be there for you." She told Hannah to comfort her. "I'm sorry to kill the mood, it's just been bothering me. He seems so confident, more and more every time we beat him."

Floyd Martin
As Valancy made her way through the city of New York, Floyd Martin was not far behind. He was traveling in a van, moving through the city. He had been following Roy since he had made his way to the Justice Queen's tower. He had been watching him through small drones with cameras that he usually used for jobs, but was now using for revenge.

He had given Roy a home, trained him and fed him. Now this was how he was repaid? He would teach that boy a lesson in respect. First though, he'd have to deal with this woman who had apparently taken him in. She had gotten involved in business that was not hers, so only she was to blame for what was going to happen.

As he followed her, he realized she was determined and headed somewhere, he'd have to do something to distract her. He made a call to a few of his mercenaries that he had brought into town to help him. They began to rob a nearby nearby bank. Hopefully Valancy would take the bait, and then Floyd would strike.

The Flame Guard
After Morgan had left the skyscraper he began to hear loud gun fire coming from a nearby medical clinic. He rushed over and saw thugs killing innocent civilians. He was filled with rage and quickly rushed inside, smashing down the taking out a thug who was standing against it. He headed down to the basement and smashed his fist into the generator. The lights went out in the building and the Flame Guard began absorbing all the energy from the generator. Fully charged he ran back upstairs and clenched his fists as a huge heat wave emitted from his hands, melting metal across the building and jamming and destroying the guns that the thugs were carrying.

"Wha-What the hell?"

The thugs are all surprised when they found their guns to be melted down, to a scrap of iron, or maybe a crater full of liquified metal. At the same time, an unknown person got his hands on their friends.

"Grab anything to smash it to this guy!"

He and the rest of surviving men stormed to the man with their melee weapons on their hands.

The Flame Guard saw the now disarmed men charging at him with whatever they could find. They didn't stand a chance now though. No pipe or baseball bat could damage his armor. Now he took out his own weapons, his assult rifles that fired non-lethal rounds. He fired at every thug in the building as he moved through it. His guns wouldn't kill them, but they'd break ribs and hurt like hell. Any thug that got close, Morgan slammed his elbow into their chest.
