Zeritin shouted in exertion as he raised a dark energy shield to block Etla's attack but he was clearly using a lot of energy. Lightbringer began firing arrows at rapid speed adding her own light energy to the attack. She turned to Auia and Ihra, "Come on! If all four of hit him at the same time can beat him for sure!" She shouted at them as she continued to fire arrows.

Ihra nodded, even though no one could see her and she suddenly attacked her target with loads of slash projections, bombarding him with them. Auia on the other hand decided to opt for the less traditional route. She inhaled, and then sent fourth a beam of colour.

Her nose might even be bleeding. She then looked at Zhao, and frowned as she stood up strait. "One. I am not a god. Never claimed to be." She replied, before grabbing a street light and using it to slam into her target. "Two, I'm not trying to kill you. I don't care what the government says. I won't ever do that. That's what separates me from you and from that bird. It's my rule." She spoke, using the lamppost to slam down onto her target as a follow up. "But that doesn't mean I'm not going to hurt you. You brought this beating on yourself." She spoke with confidence. Though she was still wary. He seemed to have a lot of tricks.

Zhao simply blocked the lamp post, causing it t break in half.

"All you had to do was stay out of the way. Now, you're going to pay the price." Zhao started to fire two red beams from his eyes, something went wrong, however. Instead of hitting Ling square in the face, he coughed up a massive amount of blood.

He soon lost control of his heat vision, sending the beams off into a nearby building, burning right through the middle of it. As soon as the heat vision stopped, he fell to the ground, writhing in agony. From his upper torso to his head, Zhao began to change into a variety of animal parts in rapid succession before the right side of the afflicted area turned into a dark grey color. Zhao soon passed out from the pain. The strain of turning into a complex alien creature heavily damaged him, causing him to be unable to finish the fight

"Finally." Ling muttered, grabbing her target, she moved swiftly back to her comms. She picked it back up, hoping her handlers wouldn't take it too personally. Besides now she could interogate the suspect and get him to reveal those he's working with. "Sorry there Base. I needed to grab him. I'll be meeting you at the drop off location."

"Change of plans Red Fist. We're not taking Zhao in."

"We're not? Why?"

"The situation has changed... drastically."

"I don't understand."

"A bomb was just set off in a convention. A terrorist group appeared calling themselves "PPT", hijacked local news. They're claiming responsibility and say more deaths will come... unless we follow their demands."

"Demands?"

"They involve you and Zhao. You both need to report back to the drop off site."

"He won't help us out of the goodness of his heart!"

"We'll offer money or whatever he wants. Doesn't matter what we do, we just need him concious in the next five hours. And if you can, explain the situation and get him to co-operate."

'There's something you're not telling me..."

"There's always something you're not being told, you just have to live with that."

Ling sighed as she placed Zhao down and then slid down too on the wall. She attempted to shake him out of his unconsciousness.

Track doom beams that do whatever you want are a pretty big plus. And I haven't had to take a poop in weeks!" He said having to switch to his other hand because of the fact that he only had three fingers on each hand. "I just remembered... My PS4 was on Apokolips... Oh well. I'll buy another one later." He said after Julie rattled off all the stuff she had to do. "Busy few weeks? I need a vacation. No more weird cosmic bullcrap for at least a week. I need some Otis time. Why don't you take some time off too? You probably need it more than I do. I'd cover for you, but I'm not great with the whole Lantern thing."

"Sounds cool. Though I don't envy you." She chuckled. "Would be nice if I didn't have to poop though." She then paused at the vacation question. "I think I might be able to get some rest time. The Gaurdians due owe me my holiday time after all, since i skipped it last year." She remarked. "Hopefully manifest won't need too much help, and if he does things can be sorted quickly if it comes to that. Plus I could always use that whole double feature I never use. No one seems to use it in fact..." She continued. "So... tell me more about yourself. Like, about your life before you became a fully fledged superhero and stuff."

Garnet simply stared at Masami with her eyes narrowed after hearing that she and Akari had met Kennedy, saying nothing else. She had, in fact, been inconvenienced with dead strangers before, and more than five, though that wasn't the reason she had picked the number six and in any case, she didn't feel like explaining that it was only a joke, since that would probably take far more time than it was worth.

Meanwhile, back at the house, Akihiko was, apparently, halfway through the task of disassembling his magnetic scabbard with naught but a screwdiver and a pair of tweezers, when all of the sudden, Akari poked her head through a portal that had suddenly appeared next to him, and asked him to come along. The half-Oni blinked in surprise, and then sighed. "Mom, I'm going out." He called out before getting to the task of reassembling his scabbard.

"If you don't come back for dinner, you're grounded." She replied from another room. The young man sighed again and then stood up, placing his sword inside the scabbard and fastening the scabbard to his belt before nodding at Akari and going through the portal as well.

"Hey girls." He said awkwardly to the other two.

“Hello.” Spoke Masami, she looked at the man for a second, regarding him. There was something odd about him, something she couldn’t quite explain or quite put her tail on. She frowned, then shook her head as she returned to the riddle.

“Above my brothers
My head rises high beyond
Look down, you will see”

“Tokyo skytree.” Akari spoke

“How did you know?”

“My mother is not as clever as she thinks.” Remarked the cat woman, she then opened a portal to the skytree. The top of it specifically.

“What do we do now?” Masami asked.

“Jump.” Spoke Akari, a smile on her face, which got an odd look from the Kitsune.

“It’s the only way to activate the portal to my mothers realm.”

Roy was a bit surprised when he felt Hannah embrace him, but he certainly welcomed it. It felt different than when she had hugged him in dragon form. Now she was soft and warm, and he couldn't help but blush a bit as he returned her embrace. He felt almost relieved after having told Hannah about that. "It's okay Hannah. You shouldn't apologize. It actually felt kind of good. I've kept that bottled in for so long, it was nice to be able to get that off my chest." Roy smiled brightly when Hannah pulled away and said he wasn't a monster. "That means a lot to me Hannah, thanks." He told her sincerely looking back into her eyes. "You know... I don't think you're a freak Hannah." He said, referencing what she had said earlier. "And well... I think you're really pretty." He told her softly, before blushing furiously and turning his head in embarrassment.

Hannah blushed at that comment, she had not often been told that she was pretty, much less really pretty. Her sisters said it a few times, but it had never been said by a member of the opposite sex. Most boys were far too distracted with Sarah to notice her with anything other than confusion. She was after all odd looking. Her ears stood out for miles.

“Really…?” she asked, surprisingly shyly now.

Hong Kong

Zhao woke up to see Ling shaking him.

"Yes, yes, let's repeatedly shake the unconscious man. Don't get him to a hospital or anything." He said groggily, noticing the left side of his body was a dark grey color.

"What the hell did you do to me? Am I going to need to get checked for whatever freak STD you gave me?" He said with a smirk.

“We don’t have time for a hospital. Plus I’m fairly sure they couldn’t fix whatever the hell is wrong with you.” She remarked, picking him up in her arms with surprising ease. Some might find the scene tender if she didn’t have a frown on her face. “We need you, so we’re not going to put you in jail. And we plan to compensate you or whatever.” She spoke. “We need your help delaying a terrorist group, so that they don’t blow up more of Hong Kong.”

Zhao jumped out of her arms. The action sent stinging pain all throughout his body. While he wasn't invincible, immortality and time made it easier to tolerate pain.

"So, this is my problem because? He said sarcastically.

"I could care less if this city gets blown to shit. My problem now is to find out where that damn commissioner went or killing enough Triad hit squads so that they realize they can't do shit to me."

"Well there's the carrot. They've told me that they're willing to offer you what basically amounts to a blank check. Nearly whatever you want they'll give you." Ling spoke. She folded her arms, frowning.

"I'm suppose to be the stick. To drag you there even if you don't want to go." She remarked. "Plus, you're in this city dumbass. If they blow it up, you're going to die too."

Oxford, England, Nearby University of Oxford.
Alex smiled proudly at what was just recently merely an old mansion. The little known Darwitch manor was said to be haunted, which was specifically why Alex chose it. Placed said to be haunted were often closer to magic, and she felt it was true with this place. Owned by the Darwitch family before it finally came into college hands after all the living relatives died, the manor had been rotting for years before Alex finally worked with Loss to try and convert it into a place of study. The renovations weren’t easy, and Alex had to call in a few favors with spacial mages to make sure that it was bigger on the inside than it’s already large exterior would indicate.

“Well Professor. I think we have out school.” She spoke, a wide smile on her face. “Classes start at 1pm today, since that’s when renovations end. And so far… we’re the only teachers… Though it should be fine. Our cohort is rather small at the moment."

The Republic of Atria wrote:"I'm sure if you tell them you were with the guy who killed Darkseid, they'll be okay with it." He snickered. "Well... Before this whole thing started... My dad died when I was five. Killed by a drunk driver. My mother hated me, was an alcoholic, and tried to kill me... Twice? Three times if you include after she became a Red Lantern. Which I did not even know existed before then. Luckily for me, she was not very good at it. I had her sent to rehab to get off the booze. My dad had a monstrous life insurance policy. I'm talking millions. Since she was gone, I got the money. And I lived off of that for two years before I got caught in the Terrigen mist. Poof! Soft pink little human gone, gangly, blue, super fast and awesome Bolt was born. That's the gist of it anyways." He explained. "You're the Green Lantern. You probably know the best places to hang out at that don't involve losing a very unhealthy amount of blood."

“Wow. Sounds like you’ve been through a lot. And I know what happened to your mother… it’s pretty awful” She remarked, then paused, placing a hand on Otis’ should. “I suppose it’s only fair that I share too… My parents also died when I was young it was in the firestorm as a space pirate bombed the world we were on with other martian refugees. The space pirates captured me and kept me as a slave. He terrorized the galaxy for a few year and then the Lanterns came and blew up his fleet. And then one took me and trained me. Probably the best parts of my life were fighting with the core.” She remarked. Then paused when he asked.

“Well, one place that’s great is this club in Gotham. I went there once and it was pretty nice.” She remarked. “Tambourin is supposedly nice this time of year, and Oa never gets old. There’s countless space bars and trading points we could visit, and loads of deserted planets that look really cool. Like the Crystal palaces of Rigel III or the floating islands of Akarte Sigma.”

Akihiko noticed Masami's stare and looked away, feeling a tad nervous. He was not quite used to a woman's scrutiny (except his mother's, which he was practically immune to by now), but on top of that, he couldn't help but feel that his secret was in danger among these people. They had asked to borrow his power in their mission, and he did owe them for freeing him and helping defeat the Five Storms, but even then he started thinking that perhaps it hadn't been such a good idea to come along with them. However, he kept silent, not voicing his thoughts as he didn't wish to raise any more suspicion.

He did, however, speak up after the whole riddle shenanigan. "Hold the phone, can someone fill me in before we commit suicide?" He asked.

"Simple. We're doing an errand for Masami's aunt, and we have to stop a rampaging spirit or something like that before being done with it. Oh, and apparently Akari's mommy's involved in all of this, too." Garnet chimed in. Akihiko simply stared at her with an eyebrow raised, prompting the blonde woman to shrug. "Hey, there's a lot I don't get either, but I'm not complaining." She said, before turning to Masami. "That said, we're going to have a long talk once this is done, because I'd like to at least understand what I've been doing for the past day or so." She told the Kitsune.

Afterwards, she took a deep breath. "Alright, if this is a prank, you're toast, kitty." She said to Akari, before jumping down.

"Oh jeez, what did I get into?" Akihiko wondered, before jumping down as well.
'
Ihra turned off her invisibility, the sword no longer bending light around her for the sake of her illusion. She placed the sword in the cloud as her sister had, looking at Etla. "Hello sister." She first turned to the two siblings. "I came when I heard noise nearby. Are either of you hurt?" She was more concerned about the siblings than her sister it seemed, seeing as that was the entire reason she was here. She had been busy tending to a few things of her own concern. And of course Etla's Christmas presents.

Japan
"Jump down there and you'll be completely fine. The portals that work this way often lead to enchanted clouds or something of the like. Cherry Blossoms sometimes." Akari remarked.

And they did, landing in a bed of cherry petals at the end which magically broke their fall. Masami looked around, seeing a large, almost impossibly oversized mansion, with paper walls and Japanese style architecture. There was a stillness to the area, as if it had been preserved.

"Alright. Short version to tide you over." Spoke Masami. "Akari and I are sisters as you may know, and I was adopted as you might guess. Part of a family trade actually, and I was returned when my counterpart died." She explained. "My mother was killed, and for a long time I suspected it was my Aunt, Azami... But she has new information... including this." She lifted the note with the Haiku that led them there.

"It's in my mothers handwriting and riddle. Which me and Akari noticed. I'm not sure what it means, but I think there's more to this than Azami has been telling us."

Masami paused. Taking in the stllness of the mansion and it's... familiarity. "I don't like this. I think we should all get ready for a fight." She remarked, suddenly transforming, all her four tails present. Even in this situation, one could see her now much more radiant beauty gained from her latest tail.

"It's not a cartoon, it's an anime." The Black Dragon Hadrimmelis said as she walked up to Otis and Julie after the talk about forming a team was done. They had apparently not gotten too far, not ascertaining anything beyond the fact that they were forming a team and the name of the team itself, though she supposed that was enough for now. Some of the people present were mortals, after all, their time was far more precious to them than it was to the World-Dragon, so she could not blame them for wanting to get the team business over with so that they could tend to their own personal matters. In the end, she supposed that the action of forming a team was enough work done for the time being. They all had agreed to work together to deal with any cosmic threats that might upset the safety of Earth after all; perhaps some might wonder what had prompted her to agree so quickly to undertake such a responsibility, but the fact was that many of her precious children, the Hadrians, had decided to settle down on Earth, and so, the small blue planet had become quite relevant to her, more so than it was when the only ties she had to it were her wizard friend and the help she owed to the other heroes of the Builder War.

But the point was that she was now part of a team, and she was going to watch an One Punch Man marathon, which she was perfectly okay with. It was one of the reasons she even knew what anime was, after all. Normally she either wouldn't have known or simply wouldn't have cared, but ever since she received the Orb of Cognition from Craig, she had dedicated part of her endless time to studying the culture of Earth, which of course implied watching some of their shows, and though she had seen many things in her ridiculously long lifetime that would put fiction to shame, some of the stories shown in human television still managed to captivate her attention, and One Punch Man was one such show. The only bad thing about it was having to wait a week between episodes. A week, from the perspective of an eternal World-Dragon, was but the blink of an eye, and it still managed to annoy her, which made a statement either about her patience or about anime publishing schedules.

"But regardless of what it is, I must agree that it is a very good show. I can't wait for the next episode to come out." The Black Dragon commented.

"I've never... seen that show before" Remarked the Green Lantern, raising an eyebrow. She wasn't used to the idea of sitting and watching a show with friends. She was a veteran, workaholic Green Lantern, so the idea of sitting around and watching a TV Series was not familiar to her. Though not nessecarilly an uncomfortable idea. She wasn't new to earth programming by any means, or even anime. But since the circle of her friends consisted of space cops and the disperate earth heroes she occasionally helped out here and there, she tended to watch them alone. "I suppose I could give it a try." She spoke. Julie reasoned she'd have to unwind at some point.

Seeing Cora clap, Jamie raised an eyebrow, but her confusion eventually turned into pleasant surprise when she noticed the wall parting like the red sea to reveal an enormous flat television, which in this crappy analogy would more or less become Moses. One could almost see the glint in the black-haired girl's eyes as she wondered what it would be like playing videogames on that screen. The television she had back at her apartment was by no means shitty, as she had enough money to pay for a decent one, but it simply didn't compare to the one that the Justice Queens had on the wall of their living quarters. She wondered how much it had cost and if it wouldn't in fact be too big to play some games, when suddenly Cora's questions reminded her that she wasn't alone, which made her shut her mouth, which was hanging slightly ajar, and turn to face her.

"Ah, yeah, it's..." Jamie paused to clear her throat. "It's... it's pretty cool, yeah. Very... modern." She stated, nearly slapping herself afterwards. "Um, I don't know what to tell you about those channels. I don't really watch TV, but I use mine to play videogames." She said afterwards. The thought of a cyborg like Cora watching television was a little funny, but Jamie didn't laugh or say anything. It might've been seen as rude after all.

Hearing the question of Marybeth, the other recruit, Jamie piped up once again. "I guess they all have their lives outside of here. Superheroes usually do, right? The double life, the secret identity... and all that stuff." She suggested, before turning back to Kylie and Cora. "So, um." She began, and then cleared her throat once again. She hoped her comment didn't come across as selfish after her earlier question, but what could she say? It was selfish. "Do I have to, like, sign up or something?" She asked.

"You don't have to do anything." Remarked Katie, shrugging slightly. "I mean, we do have to register some sort of allias. But, heck, we could employ you as a consultant if you feel particularly opposed to signing up details or anything." Katie remarked. "We're not like the Justice League or the Avengers. We're pretty laid back when it comes to this sort of bureaucracy, perhaps to our detriment, but it's the way we do things."

A Ghost

I'm done.

I'm dead. Finally.

So why do I still feel?

In the darkness of dusk, in gotham city, a soft light glowed as sparks arced from a single glowing blue point. At first about the size of a grape, it grew to baseball size, then the size of a shrunken basketball. Soon it morphed, gaining a shape, the light branching out as stems from it formed what seemed to be legs. Then towards the top, other stems formed armlike constructs, thickening with time as at the end they formed fingers. Next, at the very top, the shape gained a round sphere for a "head". Details were put in, things which made the once ball look more human. Soon, the thing gained colour, and suddenly was unmistakably human. With mouth open wide. The first thing this being did, was scream.

The voice was female, heard clearly as it let out a harsh cry of pain, punctuated by an electronic warped sound. It screamed with an intensity that made it horrible to hear, a banshee's cry would have been more appealing to the ear. The screaming put nails on a chalkboard seem appealing by comparison. Then there was a silence as the voice died down, the body now formed falling to the ground.

"BASTARD!" She shouted out. It was not the voice of joy, of fun and light humour as it once had been. It was not the voice that could infect people with wide smiles. Not anymore.

It was the voice of pain and anger given flesh.

She gritted her teeth, grinding them together as if that would crush all her hurt away. She clenched her entire body in unbelievable fury. She stood up and screamed again, a frustrated scream. The other one had been nails on a chalkboard, while this was the wet tear of flesh. So much pain and frustration it would have made most sane people cringe.

"You took everything... YOU TOOK EVERYTHING!" She hollered at the sky. She looked up at the nights clouds, as if daring them to strike her down with errant lightning. As if pleading to die.

She paused, looking up at the sky, seeing the stars. The lights in the sky. They reminded her of eyes. The eyes of the ones she once knew.

She broke into tears. She didn't want to, it seemed wrong, selfish somehow. But she did it.

"He couldn't even kill me..." She muttered in between tears. "That bastard... Why?"

She succumbed to tears once more, the rooftop on which she knelt. She slowly began picking herself up again, looking up, seeing that the eyes were now gone.

She paused, then fumbled in her pocket for something for a second. It was a ring in a box. She took it out and looked at it in the moonlight. She had gotten it for someone. Someone she cared a lot about. And now without the person it was to be worn by, it was meaningless. Without her lover, she was meaningless.

She placed the ring back in her box. She walked down the stairs of the building, towards the exit.

The recently resembled being walked through the streets, considering what to do next. She found it was better than thinking about what had happened last. But she always came back to that moment. His cocky smile, her dead eyes, the laughter, the screams.

The failure.

She had failed in revenge, and had given everything she had left into it. She knew she had nothing left, her powers spent. Even if she wanted to find the one who had erased the ones she loved, she wouldn't be able to fight him. She didn't know how.

Though, would it matter? There was nothing left anyway. She was a ghost. Far from the universe which she called home and her friends, her lover, her world was dead. Everything was dead.

"Do you think we can stop him? He's already gone through all the superheroes on earth and torn through them like nothing. What can we-"

"Miss!"

"Huh?"

Katie looked around, she was in the middle of the street. She saw a man looking at her from his car, window rolled down. He pressed his horn. "Get out of the way you Loon!" He shouted.

Katie paused, then walked away from the car, crossing the street.

What else could she do? She could try and live normally. She couldn't really, there was no way to forget what she had seen even if it had happened to strangers. Perhaps she could pretend she was going to live normally.

Pretending would be just as bad as trying. It wouldn't work. Katie never had the stomach for phoniness anyway.

"Enough. Now you're all going to die."

Katie hyperventilated as she watched the man before her. First Xander killed Kylie.

Next was Lamia the Inhuman. Tears and blood mixed.

Next was Valancy. Katie fell to her knees.

Next was Cora. He took his time with Cora. Or maybe it was just that time slowed down with her. Katie couldn't tell.

Next it was her. He stood in front of her. The same smile. The same laugh.

She scowled. He grinned. She electrified.

He punched. It didn't matter, she was a cloud of electrons in his system.

She pulled on every nerve she could on entry, pumping his body with unbelievable pain out of rage. Katie was fairly sure that was her mistake, cause after torturing him she tried to pull the plug. It was too late, though how much she was not sure. Her electrons had been scattered by an explosion of weird energy.

The wierdest thing was, there was no time to consider. She was strait into murder, as if someone had pushed a button. Fully ready to subject Xander to as much pain as she could before killing him. She had no time to think about it though. Thinking was hard as electrons.

Reassembly was more pain than she had been able to inflict on him. But not as much pain as she was feeling no-

"Miss!"

"WHAT!" She snapped.

The shop attendant jumped back slightly. Katie glared at her, then turned to where she had been looking.

Knives.

So this was what she wanted?

She had been feeling pain. She had seen things that could break most people and had likely broken her. She had done what she could, but it had not been enough.

She picked up one of the knives. She unwrapped it. The attendant looked at her, and then moved to try and stop her, but found herself seizing up. Unable to move.

Katie was surprised that her powers returned, but couldn't care less. She held out the knife. She wasn't sure what to do with it at first. She heard slitting her wrist could work well enough, but she didn't want to be saved by an ambulance. She needed something quick.

She finally placed the knife in the right position to stab into her heart. She looked at it. Then shook her head. Tossing it away, and letting the attendant go. She passed her some cash she had in her wallet and then walked away.

She couldn't do it.

She found herself in another alleyway, walking into it. She looked at the wall, seeing two posters near each other. The one one the left imediately caught her eye and cause her a twinge of rage. She saw Xander on it.

"Praetoria." She muttered. She touched the poster and let out some electrical energy in the form of a spark. The poster burnt to a crisp in seconds.

Then she saw another poster. Her eyes widened.

"Justice... Queens?" She pulled the poster off the wall for a closer look, tearing the picture off.

They were here. They were here too.

She then shook her head. It wasnt the same. It needed to be the same.

She crumpled the poster and then tossed it. She prepared to leave, but then remembered the poster. She frowned. Then walked towards it. She picked it up. Unwrapping it.

She saw Cora. Then got out her ring box. She paused for an eternity. Then she closed the box and pocketed the picture.

She knew exactly what she was going to do now.

Black Sun looked up at Hiroshi and raised an eyebrow. "Um, yes. How do you think I got here? Surely you didn't think that I walked or swam all the way here?" She asked, her politeness fading away slightly as she replied to the half-Saiyan's inquiry, though she kept her cheerful demeanor, for the most part. She didn't like being rude to someone who was being so generous too a pair of strangers, after all, but he was being really redundant in her opinion. Still, it wouldn't do to offend him, so she figured that instead of waiting around for him to say something else, the best thing she could do was lift off and follow him already. With that in mind, she suddenly lifted off, bursts of nuclear energy emerging from the soles of her feet propelling her into the air, though they did not seem to cause any harm to the grass beneath her or any of her surroundings. The energy being spent lifting her from the ground was, in fact, being reabsorbed into her before it could cause any damage to the environment. With ease, she lifted off to the height where Hiroshi was floating, and hovered next to him, staring at him curiously.

"Anyway, let's go. If there's something you need to do before I can let my sister down, I don't mind. She's probably not going to notice, anyway." Black Sun spoke. Black Nova was unconscious, anyway, so, it hardly mattered, and she really didn't mind doing other stuff with the earthling before going to his home to let her sister rest. Perhaps she could even learn more about the planet, which would be entertaining, despite the planet not interesting her too much.

Hiroshi:

" Sounds Good." Hiroshi remarked back, the sound barrier breaking around him as he launched himself into the sky.

The sounds of air screeching by him followed him through the sky, a deep frown set on his features. Where you found one, you'd find the other, but that was precisely what he was afraid of. He could lie to himself and say he was ready to apologize, but he'd never be ready to face her again. Especially after the journey Supreme Kai had informed him about.

'Okay... Claudia's a fighter if I've ever seen one, maybe I should ascend encase she tries to attack me? Or would that make it look like I was rearing for a fight? Either way, let's hope she doesn't want to fight as long as Tomia's there.'

Looking down at the clearing below him, his feet hit solid ground again, the grass in the immediate area blasting flat in the face of the wind he'd created. The area seemed flooded, probably from recent storms and lack of sunlight due to the cloud cover. The wind that whipped against his face did little to distract him from the hammering in his chest. Euphoria over seeing his daughter again was almost outweighed by the gravity of the whole situation. Every instinct in him told him to run as the powers he felt grew closer and closer, but almost reluctantly, Hiroshi climbed atop a small boulder, his fingers playing with the strings of his boots.

" They'll be here soon." The Hybrid remarked offhandedly to his companions. " Sorry for dragging you along, your sister probably needs to rest up. This is... It's just really important to me."

"You have no idea how to land this thing!" Exclaimed Claudia. Ezika looked behind her at the swarm of fighter planes and sighed. They had escaped the planet, but now they were in for a whole new crock of

"No. I know how to make it go, but landing it has never been taught to me." She remarked. She swerved out of the way of a nearly unfortunate pidgeon. The enginees were on fire and she was having a hard time pulling up.

Claudia frowned, and then grabbed both Ezika and Tomia and held them tight, preparing to use her own body to sheild them from the crash. It would likely be at least a little painful for her, but she could think of any other way to keep them both safe. She looked at the screen, and noted how they were swiftly crashing into someone who looked strangely familiar. Claudia didn't have time to think about it until the starship hit the ground just behind the Saiyan, Slamming the red hulking figure down onto the ground with a painful crack.

Claudia got up, made sure the two girls were okay, before tearing the shuttle apart with her bare hands to get them out. The advanced metal didn't even prove to resist her any more than toilet paper would. She strode out, her clothes ruined as she coughed. Then she saw Hiroshi.

There was a pause as she seemed to freeze in place. Her eyes on the Saiyan.

There was a pause as she seemed to freeze in place. Her eyes on the Saiyan.

Hiroshi:

Swallowing hard, Hiroshi met Claudia's eyes, her Amber orbs swirling with as many emotions as he imagined his golden ones were. Taking a few careful steps forward, the Halfling felt as if his limbs were made of lead, each step a mental and physical battle. Stopping a few good meters infront of her, Hiroshi felt two small arms wrap tightly around his waist, a small onyx haired girl burying her head in his side. Not as if the Saiyan-Kaioshin would've noticed, his entire body numb and cold, a chilling sweat developing on his brow.

Hey Claudia." Hiroshi managed, trying to keep his own voice in check, clearing his throat at least twice while he spoke. " Thanks for... I mean, I'm happy you're... Thanks for looking after Tomia."

Twisting his head downwards, he parted the matted locks of his daughter, her eyes looking hopefully up towards him, the golden orbs bloodshot and irritated, stains present on his flannel.

"I missed you... S-So much." She sobbed, her breath coming in ragged, hurried intervals." Miss C-Claudia watched me real closely while we were away."

With haste, his throat tightened again, his arms locking around her as he up, her face turning into the crook of his neck. He couldn't just see pain in her features, he could feel the sadness in her voice. She'd been waiting for him to save her... To take her out of that place.

"Yea, I know." Hiroshi whispered hoarsely, tears threatening to spill out of his own eyes, a whirlwind of emotions ripping through him. " I missed you too kiddo." Swallowing hard, he attempted to rein in his emotions, forcing an smile across his features.

" You kept her save right? She wasn't forced too.." The Hybrid paused, remembering to keep his voice in check when talking to the Red Woman. " She was save right?"

Claudia did not speak, merely keeping her gaze on Hiroshi. She had a frown on her face, but this didn't necessarily indicate anger. In fact it would be near impossible to tell what emotions she was feeling without looking inside her head, and even then, it might be more than a little confusing. She kept her gaze on HIroshi, then moved down to Tomia. Then back to Hiroshi.

She then looked down at nothing. "I should have stayed." She muttered, then turned around and walked away. She didn't know where she was going, but she was moving away, though someone could still catch up with her if they wanted.

The Republic of Atria wrote:"Anime, cartoon... There's no difference save for which country made it. Regardless. It's amazing. Kinda puts getting the tar beaten out of you in perspective. I suppose life would be pretty dull if I could one shot everything in my path." Otis pondered. "But that's enough pondering. I wanna see parody and action! To the Otis-Cave!" He annouced, while channeling the Omega Effect to teleport himself, Hadri and Julie into his now fixed apartment. "Welcome to Casa De Otis. I've got a big-ass TV in the wall. 8k! I've got my laptop rigged wirelessly so that shouldn't be a problem. Assuming Attilan's wifi isn't shit. All those threats I made to AT&T... Now that I can go through with them... I think it's a bad idea. Even though their coverage sucks." He said turning on the TV and his computer to watch the show.

"One last thing! I'll make snacks real quick. I make kick ass fudge. Or so I'm told." And with that, he donned a pink apron with the words "Kiss the Cook" on it. "Make yourselves at home. I know it's probably kinda small compared to where you guys live, but I got kicked off my planet... You know. You were both there. It was mine for like... A day. I lost track playing Fallout 4." He said and sped up the cooking and cooling of his snacks by using the Omega Effect. "Aannnnnnd... Done!" He said presenting them with a large baking pan filled with his fudge, various amounts of soda and chips. "I hope I'm being a good host."

"I don't have a home, so yeah, this is pretty sweet." She remarked. She had been living, metaphorically, in a green ring for much of her life, or on Oa or the watchtower. So she had pretty spartan quarters, so anything like this would be quite enough for Julie.

Hiroshi:

His hand was on her shoulder, Hiroshi having turned the taller red woman around to face him in an almost comical comparison of their heights. Something hot was building in his chest, a fire born of guilt and anger, his now furious teal eyes boring into her own. For a second he almost lost it, hot, angry tears threatened to burst over the threshold as he stared at her, his mouth open in a snarl, words attempting to form but would never come.

The only thing stopping him from releasing almost five months of emotional turmoil, his own realization that he was solely responsible for however this turned out. If Claudia ever spoke to him again, it was based on he handeld the situation here and now.

The anger in his chest slowly died as his own furious breathing became slower, his blue-green eyes softening as he gently released her shoulder, his tight features relaxing as his posture softened, his arms falling to his sides.

" I'm s-sorry.." Hiroshi whispered, his chocked voice barely loud enough for even her to hear, his voice rising as he spoke again, his eyes turning up towards her, despair written across his features." These last.. What five months? Ha-have been hell... Everywhere I went... Y-You were there. Tormenting me!" He cried out, his voice breaking as he let his emotions run wild.

" It was like I was a spirit! I did nothing more than fucking slip from town to town, unnoticed and unimportant! Nothing made me happy. I couldn't eat, I couldn't sleep! My life has been a hell and the created it myself! Fuck, Claudia, I'm sorry! I'm sorry I didn't give you everything you deserved! I'm sorry I'm such an idiot! I'm sorry, I couldn't give you everything you deserved. I betrayed your trust.. but not only that either! I fucking crushed it and threw it into the wind. I spit on it and betrayed your trust. I fucking let you say you loved me and seemingly did this to spite you. I can't say it enough... I'll never forgive myself... I'm a wreck. I suppose it's all justice in the end."

Claudia paused. Part of her wanted to say it wasn't enough. Part of her wanted to pummel him into the ground and then continue on her way. Part of her wanted to take him back. Part of her wanted to grab him and hug him and tell him she would never leave.

"Hiroshi... You idiot... You complete moron. You thick headed numb skulled bone headed bastard." She muttered. Suddenly the Saiyan would feel himself lifted into the air as red hands wrapped around him. So tight he might have trouble breathing. But this was not a threatening grab, this was an embrace. Claudia's eyes were in tears. "You didn't have to torture yourself... You stupid meathead." Despite what she might say, she cared about Hiroshi, and seeing him destroy himself over guilt was not what she wanted. "All I wanted was for you to say sorry..."

It had been hard to not see him for so long for her too.

As soon as she landed, Garnet got up and rubbed her rear a little. The enchanted petals had broken her fall, thankfully, and none of her artifacts had fallen off when she jumped, which was quite fortunate, but even so the simple fact that she had fallen from great heights caused her to feel a bit of discomfort, though whether it was physical or psychological, she couldn't tell. Either way, she listened attentively to the story that Masami told her about her family and her suspicions, frowning a little as she heard about the murder of her mother. It seemed like they had that in common. Of course, Garnet's family had no connection whatsoever to the kind of supernatural conspiracy web that Masami's family seemed to be involved in, but that hardly meant that she didn't know what it was like to lose a parent like that. She remained silent, however.

"I knew what I was getting into, Masami. I'm already prepared for a fight." She commented after hearing the Kitsune's words, looking out at the enormous manor that spread out before her. There was definitely something wrong about it, though she couldn't tell what it was. Glancing at Masami as she transformed, she noticed that the Kitsune seemed a lot more attractive when her tails were out, though it was surprisingly not affecting her too much. Unbeknownst to her, it was that the mask, and in general the many artifacts that she wielded, filtered out part of the supernatural influence.

Far less protected from such things was Akihiko, who caught himself staring at the four-tailed fox woman and immediately looked away, feeling somewhat embarrassed. He gripped Kusanagi's hilt and took it out from the magnetic scabbard. "I'm ready too." He said, sounding a bit half-hearted. Garnet noticed what was distracting him, however, and she frowned a little, feeling somewhat annoyed by it. She smacked him lightly on the head.

"Focus." The blonde woman told him, prompting the young half-Oni to blush brightly.

"Y-yeah, sorry." He mumbled.

There was a pause as Masami saw everyone get out their weapons, Akari even pulled out her twin pistols and nodded. She moved towards the house, manifesting a blade in her hand as she moved forward. She pushed forward on the door, opening it to reveal a large forward room, leading to the other rooms in the house. There were skeletons everywhere, which made Masami frown.

"If this is suppose to be Aunt Azami's summer home or something, she doesn't seem to clean up after herself much..." She paused, then her eyes narrowed for a moment.

"Masami..." Akari spoke. Just recognising the area. "This isn't a summer home... This is our original estate. The one we grew up on."

Masami frowned, then nodded. "I remember now... but what happened? Why are there... skeletons?"

"I suppose it might have something to do with that." Akari pointed towards an ethereal woman. A Nekomata. Her eyes narrowed as she looked at her.

"Aunt Kira? What... What happened to you?"

The spirit's frown turned into a scowl. "Child and Ward of Yusa." It spoke. "I had long expected this day would come..."

The skeletons got up of their own accord suddenly, grabbing weapons. They were filled with an animus. Some animating necromancy of some sort. But not the regular kind. Masami could clearly smell, there were dark spirits animating these skeletons. And perhaps darker spirits deeper within the house.

Kira seemed to disapear, leaving the living at the hands of the undead.

"It's perfect." He smiled broadly. "I have a few advertisements out on the magical side of things. We should get quite a few applicants soon. It's not everyday you find out you're perfectly qualified to teach at Oxford." He opened a folder in his hands. "Darwitch, hmm? I remember the family that built the place. Rich folk, pleasant, if a bit irritable. They weren't fond of the college." A sly smile came to the Professor's face. "Might've been my fault. As it turns out, a magician with two years experience, a faulty explosion spell, and a crop field don't go together very well." He closed the folder, walking forward. "Regardless. Do you know if the paperwork has gone through to transfer our resident students to live here at the Manor? Oh, and I believe I am teaching the first class- Introduction to Magick 101, correct?" He opened the door, holding it for Alex. "Ladies first."

Alex smiled, then walked through. "The paperwork is pretty much done. We also have compeleted the renovations on the dorms so those new transfers should be able to come in and make themselves at home." She remarked. The witch placed some papers on a desk, she would deal with those later. "You are indeed. I'll be in the room if you need me." She remarked. "Otherwise my class schedule is lighter. Not so many "dark wizards" in this group." She remarked jokingly.

Fall of Kandar: Part 1: The Four Day War.

The Empire of Kandar stands on the outer rim of the universe. The largest power in it's galaxy, Kandar is based upon stringent honour and a very rigorous caste system. The people are humanoid, though on average quite a bit taller and they have a wider variety of hair colours, which determine one's place in society. The empire managed to spread so fast due to a disciplined military and very durable and destructive spacecraft, as well as elite superhumans. Their fair treatment of other species also helped, meaning cultural rebellions within the empire are rare. Perhaps the most defining trait of the Kandarites is their obsession with blood, literal and metaphorical. Blood cleanses the soul, and bloodlines determine your status and place in society.

By all rights, Kandar should have stood for a thousand centuries, perhaps collapses under the weight or bureaucracy, or changed over time as so many other star empires do. Kandar should have had a dignified end at the heght of a long reign on the Tur Sigma cluster.

But destiny was changed. Kandar will not last through the week.

Four days ago the systems governors were reporting disappearing colonies, planets and stars now completely gone. the Emperess did attempt to look into the matter, though anyone she sent would disappear. The rim colonials and many of the mid hives were concerned with the disappearance of so many colonies in such a short space of time. Not only that, but it seemed like communications among the outer colonies were being disrupted. Light wave communication was useless, and any attempts to resort to psychic telepathy were met with agonizing visions and an exploding head.

Three days prior, things began to heat up. All over the empire reports were coming in of attacks, even deep in imperial territory. Reports of varying types, beings of prodigeous size and endless hungers. Communication was still halted, and the communication that was let through only increased panic and hysteria. Many tried to escape the galaxy, though few actually succeeded, and those that would attempt later would not succeed.

Two days previously definite reports of slime beings came in. Strange female creatures, almost all much larger than a Kandar being. Almost all the mid worlds and outer worlds had fallen, picked off brutally. Some slimes seemed to carry swarms of smaller slimes in what could pass for a gut, spilling them out onto worlds and watching the ones they set free devour it. Reports of slimes the size of solar systems devouring suns like candy. Fleets smashed with greedy hands and devoured into the massive beings. Fights were comically one sided. A few of the slime things could be felled, but even then engagements with more than one bigger than a planet never ended well. The core worlds had been relatively untouched. Some wondered why.

It was simple. They were saving the best parts of the meal for last.

The slimes had chosen their target well. The Tur Sigma cluster had more riches than in knew what to do with, blessed with so many fertile planets for food, metal, crystals, fuel. Anything you could possibly want trickled into the core worlds. They were the most heavily guarded, with good reason, but they were wonders. Entire planets where the streets are literally paved with gold. Floating cities, artificial planets larger than stars.

But this was a golden egg that was supposedly impossible to crack. Forcefields came up as soon as the slimes reached the borders of the crown systems, ones that encompased the entire core, resistant to outside spacial and matter transportation. No one could get in or out. Besides that, a large percent of the core worlders had military training of some description. They were called into the militia, all of them. They had stockpiled for a time like this. The mid may fall. The Outer rim may fall. But the crown will forever be protected.

So, how do you crack a golden egg?

From the inside.

The invasion had not started four days ago. It had been prepared weeks in advance. Infiltrators were sent in, able to absorb and disguise themselves and those they devoured, or simply hide within the cracks of the gilded cities. They learned, discovered, and reported back. Then, when the swarm came, they struck.

First the generals were killed. Absorbed or simply assassinated. Next the sheilds were deactivated, codes for the deactivation were entered, and the sheild was down. Generators were destroyed so that they could never come back up.

The first system to fall was Tyranus. Crushed mercifully quickly by a devision of star sized slimes. Next was Urbaxis, which was simply overrun by sheer number. Later was Unadine, the greedy slimes sucking in all the air on the planets, leaving everyone to suffocate. Kathedie was gnawed from the inside out. The armies couldn't even get to the worlds before they were devoured and the slimes responsible were gone. But there were always more to come and devour the fleets. They had gorged themselves on a galaxy, and were nigh on unstoppable once they sampled some of the delicacies of the core.

Many more fell, before the Empress knew all was lost. She knew it was only a matter of time. She called for help from another galaxy nearby. Not to help end the threat, but to buy time so her daughter, the next empress, could be saved.

"I know I've made my opinion more than evident several times, Masami, but you have a very weird family." Garnet said as she calmly selected her weapons, opting not to use Misery this time because it was probably going to be pretty difficult to make sure that her bullets hit the skeletons' bones instead of slipping right past their ribs or something like that. "I know you're hot, but I wouldn't want to be one of your suitors if I had to deal with them." She commented, settling on simply using her gauntlet to break them before they had the chance to do anything to her or any of the other members of the party. They were likely not even that durable, anyway.

Akihiko, meanwhile, very nearly snarled at the dark spirits around the house, holding Kusangi in a white-knuckled grip. All of his distraction was gone now, and he was focused on the enemy. The dark spirits that were animating the skeletons, and the ones which were lurking further inside the mansion, seemed to be calling out to his corrupted blood, and though he, along with the help of his special talisman, was able to hold such a call at bay without any noticeable adverse effects, he still wanted to get this done as soon as possible. He was starting to regret coming along, again, but he reminded himself that he still owed the three women for saving him, and in any case, there was no time to worry about such things at the moment.

"Kusanagi! Waking World!" The young half-Oni called, and immediately, the sword elongated and was surrounded by fire and lightning. With the blade's transformation complete, he charged head-first into the skeleton mob, furiously swinging Kusanagi left and right with the strength of an Oni.

Garnet, meanwhile, had entered the fray too, using her cursed gauntlet and one of her rings to draw the skeletons closer and then shatter them, doing all of this as she hummed a suspiciously appropriate tune.

"Spooky scary skeletons send shivers down your spine~"

"Thank you for the compliment. I do have to credit my tails for most of my attractiveness however." Masami remarked with a smile, using her foxfire to incinerate the skeletons she could not reach with her sword. "And yes, I realise I didn't have the most normal relatives living with the Neko. But on the bright side things would never be dull with me."

Akari blew skeletons apart with artfull flourishes of her guns, blasting through as many as she could, Aiming for torso and pelvis to dismantle them. She dodged the occasional hit and used her catlike reflexes to cover for Akhiko, whom she sticked around. Not that he needed her help, she just felt like it.

Soon the skeletons were nothing but a heap of bones. And Masami looked around. "is that it?"

"Oh you'll find plenty of surprises in this house young Fox. You may even find the truth if you live long enough."

Masami frowned. "What truth? What?" She gritted her teeth at the lack of an answer, then looked at the doorways.

She calmed herself and inhaled through her foxlike nose. Then pointed. "That way is the place where the most spirity smell is."

"So we're just going to go to the least pleasant areas of this house."

"Well you know well that these sorts of places have wierd exits. Our aunt is probably guarding it." She replied. "She wants us to know something..." She moved towards the direction in which she had pointed, Akari following.

Etla listened attentively to the explanation that Serene gave her about the demon attacks, occasionally looking away to make sure that Cloudy was still safe nearby and was not heading off into the forest to get lost and make her go look for him again. That had been a very annoying few days of searching for the robotic bunny, who could travel unexpectedly quickly from one country to another despite all logic. Either way, after hearing Serene's tale about the demons and the Demon, the golden-haired Rainborn felt that not much had been explained, but she didn't exactly feel like questioning the siblings any longer, so she figured she'd have to learn more on the way there.

If one could read the last line of her thoughts as a narrative, one would see that she had already decided that she was going to tag along with them.

"Well, in that case, we can help you beat up those demons so they stop going after you!" Etla suggested, wrapping an arm around Ihra's shoulder. "We're pretty good fighters and we don't mind going up against some silly demons. Right, sis?" She said with a smile, glancing at Ihra.

Ihra sighed. "You always get me into trouble, don't you sis?" She remarked, half jokingly. She was quite flattered that her sister thought of her as a good fighter. "I fought a queen of Darkness. So I suppose Demons can't be much worse." She spoke. She nodded to the two of them. "Plus, we don't want to leave you two alone against waves of demons."

Auia smiled. "So it's decided! We'll be the Fellowship of the Spectrum." She spoke, which earned an odd look from Ihra, if not the others. "Spectrum? Lights. Colours. We got me, living embodiment of what makes the world so lovely, hue, shade, tone and contrast!" She sped towards the two brother and sister and wrapped arms around their shoulders. "We got the contrasting duo! Light and Dark." She slid towards the two sisters, moving so smoothly she seemed like some sort of skater. "We got the one with the rainbow sword," Auia then pointed at Etla, pausing. "Um..." She thought. Then she shrugged and smiled. "Okay. I haven't got a thing for you. Maybe the name needs work. But I think we'd make an awesome team to... do whatever we're doing? Something about demons right?"

"We're fighting demons so they'll stop harasing Serene and Darian."

"Yes! That!" She spoke excitedly.

Charmera wrote:"I don't have a home, so yeah, this is pretty sweet." She remarked. She had been living, metaphorically, in a green ring for much of her life, or on Oa or the watchtower. So she had pretty spartan quarters, so anything like this would be quite enough for Julie.

Hiroshi:

When his feet left the ground, and Claudia forgave him, Hiroshi felt inexplainable guilt swell in his chest. It was obvious she forgave him, and that she still cared. But he didn't feel like he'd earned any forgiveness. Tilting his head up, his blue-green eyes scanned her features, quizzically looking over her.

"Y-you did?" Hiroshi almost whispered, clearing his throat as he reined in the last of his emotions, his impassive disposition returning. " But I hurt you... More than I've ever hurt anyone in a fight. I attacked you with words. I purposefully struck at you, lashing out at weaknesses you'd confided in me..."

Shakily raising his arm, Hiroshi unconsciously felt his fingers cup her cheek, his rough hands softly tracing patterns on her skin. It was almost surreal to be here. For him to not only be near her, but being able to talk to her, it was something he'd never imagined accomplishing in the same day.

" The last few weeks taught me a lot." Hiroshi remarked. " I achieved a power far beyond my own. The pinnacle of Saiyan ability. And..." Pausing, the Hybrid met her eyes. " It was accepting failure that allowed me to ascend. My uncle described it as the failure of the Saiyan race as a total, and the failures he and I had and would expirence throughout our lives. I thought at first that he meant overcoming them. But now... No, then. I realized it was accepting these failures and moving past them was the key. It also allowed me to accept the blame I'd pushed away from myself. I've... I've grown more in the last few weeks then I've ever before."

Closing his eyes, Hiroshi felt the pit of despair he'd built around himself almost evaporate as a weight disappeared from his shoulders. He was hardly out of the woods yet, but he could finally feel an almost happiness, an acceptance bubbling in his chest. Opening his eyes once more, Hiroshi felt as if control of his life had been returned to him, turning them upwards, he felt his hair fall to onyx once more as he parted his lips, finally ready to accept Claudia's decision.

" I've changed as a person too. I'm not the same Hybrid Saiyan-Kaioshin you left almost five months ago. And... I think I'm ready to accept your judgement so to speak. I knew you said you missed me too, but like I said, I'm not the same man, and as much as it pains me, if you don't think you can love the new me like you did the old, I accept your decision."

"Hiro. That's the point of love. If a person changes, you're suppose to still love them." Claudia explained. She sighed. "The problem I had was when you betrayed my trust. That's what made me upset. I hated feeling so... disrespected by the one I loved. "

She paused. "But. Though I can love you, and I think we should be together, I think we need to talk about our relationship. Work things out a little." Claudia had surprisingly thought about this. She had considered these things. It was why she was so ready to accept his apology. "Firstly, we're going to live together. Mostly for Tomia's sake. Two parents are better than one, even if one is more of a giant red nanny." She explained. "We also need to be more honest and open with one another. Tell each other everything. Got it?"

The Republic of Atria wrote:"Thank you. I've never really had a lot of friends before now." He explained to the both of them. "So I'm just kinda winging it." Once all the food was done, he started the actual show. "Episode five and eleven are my favorite. Hadri, I'm assuming you already know what happens in those two. But I'm not going to spoil it for Julie. I mean. It's not like it's that hard to guess. The title pretty much gives away the whole series. But somehow it keeps being interesting." After that he decided to just be quiet. It was fun to spend time with friends. Even more so when they decided to get into his favorite show! He had forgotten to take off his apron, but he didn't care. "You'll have to let me know if you like it Julie."

Hadri had already seen One Punch Man, but Julie was new to it. And she was really nice to him. Was he developing a crush? Probably. Would he admit it? Probably in a very embarrassing way. She was a space cop. And supposedly a very good one. He was a god. Kind of. Otis had very little idea of the true power he possessed. He was considered to be in league with some of the most powerful beings in the universe. Darkseid was quite powerful, but he didn't know the half, or even quarter of it.

Julie did, to her surprise, find herself quite enjoying the show. It wasn't that she didn't think the show would be good, but she didn't expect to actually be as into it as she would have thought. It was fun, a generally good fun time, which is a great thing to experience with friends. Although she wasn't one hundred percent sure whether or not the world dragon was someone she could consider friend, considering they hadn't talked very much, she was still good company, and Otis by now was definitely a friend.

She paused, glancing over at Otis. She knew nothing of Otis' crush or Hadri's mental pushing, but she did find herself watching him more than the program at times, though not enough to detract from the show. She paused, then at one moment during their marathon she looked down at her ring, then at Otis. She fiddled with the green ring for a second unconciously. She looked at her corps symbol, her mind deep in thought, even thought her own psychic powers and rather formidable willpower made it hard to investigate, those around her would be able to tell she was in thought about some perhaps pressing things. She slipped the ring of her finger and placed it on the rest of the sofa. "The food was great." Julie spoke. She stood, during a ad break in the streaming "I just have to go to the toilet. I won't be long." It wasn't a lie, but she was also going for another reason. She needed a little time to think, as if being away from the other two would give her thoughts more clarity. She walked towards the toilet, sitting down on the seat and thinking.

This is... nice. She thought to herself. But am I letting that cloud my judgement? If my thoughts are not clear, not precise, not willed with the fullest clarity, then I can't do my job. And this is the kind of distraction which could be harmful. And what of my work scedual? Which takes precedence, my social life or my work?

What if I one day have to choose? Between one or the other?

Now would be a perfect time for someone to mess with the ring and turn it white.
Just Saiyan. :P

The Republic of Atria wrote:"Stupid ads. South Park was right." He muttered and noticed Julie forgot her ring. Which he found strange. He wore a lantern ring for like ten minutes. Maybe it ran out of charge and it slipped off her finger? Better safe than sorry. A Green Lantern without their ring would be kinda weird. So he was just going to take it to her. He picked up the ring and looked at it for a moment in wonder. What other colors were there on the spectrum? He knew about the yellow, green, and blue. He shrugged and rattled off colors in his mind that would make cool lantern colors. Red, Orange, purple, white... He knocked himself out of his train of thought. "Hey Julie. You left your ring out here. I'm not sure if it was intentional or it slipped off. I'm putting it on the counter." He said through the door to the restroom. Which he hadn't seen the inside of in weeks. Not that it bothered him much. More time for him to spend not taking a dump.

However, while he held the ring and was contemplating the different colors that could exist, the Omega Effect took the liberty of removing the filter that allowed the ring to only tap into the Green Light of Willpower. He had no idea that's what it did when the red energy flickered around the ring. Brushing it off as either static electricity or feedback, he left it on the counter like he said he would and went back to watching One Punch Man. It was the Episode with Hammerhead and Speed O' Sound Sonic. Which was the most redundant name ever in his opinion. Sonic would've been just fine, but it was a parody so he couldn't be too heavy with the criticism.

Julie nodded. Then walked out, she quickly put her ring on, not realizing that it was now... different from before. Something was odd about it, definitely. Though she was not able to tap into whatever this might be yet, she was able to notice it. She also noticed the absence of Hadri, with some disapointment. "Oh. The World Dragon left. I was actually curious about her." She paused, "That just leaves... me and you Otis." She spoke, slowly sitting down. She still felt like there could be thinking to be done.

John smiled at Sarah's teasing question. "Well, that was before I met you. I couldn't arrest someone as cute as you." He told her playfully as they got out of bed together. John went to shower, and when he got out, got himself dressed and heard Sarah say that Sam had a tough night. He raised an eyebrow curiously, "How do you know that?" He asked as they went to leave the hotel room to find the others.

Sam had woken by now and got dressed, yawning a bit as she headed toward her room. She was about to open the door with her key when she paused. DeeDee was in there and who knows what she was doing. She then knocked a little hesitantly on the door. "DeeDee? You in there?" Sam called through the door to her teacher.

Roy had woken up as well and as he was getting dressed, he was thinking about the time he and Hannah had spent hanging out the night before. It was a lot of fun, and it felt so nice to be able to make a connection with someone else. It seemed like Hannah really understood him. He wasn't sure what would happen now, but he hoped he'd get to see Hannah again.

Young Bloods
Later that night, the Young Bloods had began their infiltration of Jump Tech Pharmaceuticals' corporate headquarters. Mars had built small devices that gave the user temporary invisibility and had finally unveiled them to the team to use for this mission. Using this device he headed toward the building,s security room, Vera accompanying him for back up. Meanwhile Kiris was providing cover for Nico and Cat as they headed toward their parent's office to search for evidence. Rin was acting as the eyes and ears for the team, well more ears but you know what I mean. She was also working with Xyri who was using her malleable form to search for inconsistencies in the building's infrastructure that might lead them to hide a hidden room or passageway.

Hannah was still asleep, and likely wouldn't wake for anything less than being tossed out of bed, though she likely wouldn't be too happy at being so tossed out of a bed. Or food. She'd wake up for food, which would be slightly less hazardous than tossing a teenager at peak human ability with claws and teeth out of a bed.

Xyri
Xyri had no idea what she was looking for beyond just wierd things with the building, but she supposed she'd know when she found it. She slid through slimely, looking through the various parts of the building one floor at a time. She didn't feel cramped or clusterphobic as others might, since it would be literrally impossible for her to be crushed by any means. It would be akin to trying to crush a liquid.

Cat
Cat looked through a file cabinet, and then suddenly she noticed not only some fake backs to several of them, but also keyholes for them. She frowned as she tripped all the files out as quietly as she could. Then tore out the parts she needed and atempted to open them, but surprisingly to no avial. "Huh. These things are strong... or maybe I'm running out of Juice." She remarked. Then passed one of the file cabinet drawers to Nico.

Christmas Shopping 2
Xyri sighed as she walked around jump city. It had been a day since she went out shopping, and she had still felt that oddly empty feeling in the depth of her. She wasn't sure how to describe it. Mere sadness was far too kind a word for this sort of dispair. If she had to guess with her limited vocabulary, she would say disapointment was good enough. She had felt it very rarely, seeing as she had few experiences to compare anything to. Nothing could be worse that nothing after all.

She wanted this to be magical. She wanted this holiday to be as wonderful as she had heard. As she had witness. A holiday where giving was the norm, where everyone has a smile on their face. A holiday where the shining light of altruism prevails. She didn't even know what Altruism was, but it sounded great. Like a hug. Xyri liked hugs like she liked gifts. Gifts were like a hug someone else could keep, and every time they saw it they could be reminded of how much that person cares about you. The idea of someone who gives hugs to the whole world was something quite primal, quite familiar to Xyri. She didn't know where this came from, but the idea that this hug didn't exist was horrible. To make this worse, it seemed to be replaced with a fist. Xyri understood the need to punch a baddie, but she'd much rather give a hug that punch someone with her superpowers.

Suddenly she noticed several kids playing around in a playground. Suddenly her eyes widened as she noticed the kid which had pulled off Santas beard. Xyri's hands turned into fists as she marched towards the boy. His friends were all watching him using his phone to take a picture of himself. He didn't seem to notice them turn away and run.

"Hey where are you-" Suddenly he noticed the Slime being behind him. He turned around, his eyes wide, then he put on a cocky smile.

"Well if it isn't the big wimp who went to sit on Santa's lap." He taunted. Before he found himself hoisted up by a large slimey arm. His eyes widened as his legs wiggled. "Wait! I was kidding! Don't hurt me!"

"I'm not going to hurt you." Spoke the slime woman. She plopped him on top of the climbing wall. He gulped as she folded her arms, but then folded his and looked away. "What's your name?"

"Sam." He grumbled, looking down and wondering if he should just drop off.

"Why did you do that to the poor man Sam!? He was just trying to make people smile." Asked Xyri.

"What, Ol' Joe?" He smiled. "It was a joke, come on!"

Xyri's frown only deepened. "It didn't seem that funny."

The kid sighed. "Fine." He spoke. "I hate Christmas. All this stupid false cheer and silly songs and "You'll get presents if your good."" He muttered. "I've not gotten any gifts... I never get any gifts." He said bitterly. "Momma say's we're too poor to get gifts. While all the rich kids at my school get Laptops and stuff."

Xyri paused. Then frowned. "Well that's not right." She spoke. "You should have christmas too. Everyone should! That's the whole point. Santa gets presents for all the little boys and girls." She had done some research.

"Santa doesn't exist you dumbass."

"Don't use that sort of language young man!" Spoke Xyri sharply and suddenly. It caught Sam off guard.

"Yes miss..."

Xyri frowned and then shook her head. "No. This is not going to do at all." She spoke. "I'm a superhero. Which means I need to do something about people in trouble." She decided.

Sam paused. "But... What can you do?"

Xyri's frown deepened for a moment. And then suddely turned into a smile. "We're going to be Santa Claus!"

"Come again?"

"We're going to be Santa Claus!" She said once more.

There was a pause.

"I still don't get it. What are we going to do exactly?"

Xyri paused. "Oh yeah. I wan't exactly clear." She spoke. "We're going to get presents for every single person on earth."

Sam would have laughed, but something about the conviction in Xyri's voice stopped him. It was... so heartwarming. He couldn't help but be awed by the fact she meant that. But still, it couldn't be done.

"Okay... why am I helping?"

"Because otherwise I'm going to tell your mommy you said a bad word."

"Fair point. How are we going to get the presents?"

"I think I can help with that." Spoke another voice. One belonging to a Rainbow colored slime with a magical smile.

Tomia wrote:Capital Planet of the Kandar Empire
A large fleet of battleships entered the surrounding solar system of the Kandar capital. They had entered through a massive magical portal created in space by the ships themselves, thanks to the cooperation between the mages and scribes of the Yazara. In the message that they had received from the Kandar, they were told what the mission was. They had no interest in protecting any planet outside of this solar system, there was no point in bothering. The ships began to spread out in a defensive position around the solar system. Meanwhile four of the largest ships headed straight toward what they were fairly confident was the capital planet.

The Yazara were rather new to the intergalactic political game, so they would mostly likely not be known by many others, but they had certainly heard of the Kandar. Their society was similar to that of the Yazara, and they had always respected the strength of the Kandar. Thus when they heard the large civilization's desperate plea to help, King Marriac was quick to respond. On the lead ship that was preparing to enter the Capital's atmosphere was the King himself, as well as his chief general, his son Togara, commonly known as the Hammer of Asugar. Togara stood stoically on the command deck as the ship slowly descended into the atmosphere, after declaring themselves and announcing their intentions to the Kandar government. These four ships were the largest and had a large amount of empty space, and this was so that they could take as many survivors onto their ship as possible, including the Empress and her daughter.

Togara was not too fond of this mission. He wished to be out there, fighting this great threat, not saving people who were too weak to defend themselves. However his father was the Dragon King and until Togara ascended to that position himself and became the transcended dragon, he would have to obey. Soon the Capital City of Kandar came into view. Togara studied it intently, knowing it that soon, it would be wiped from existence.

The Siege had not yet begun, so the flotilla managed to get to Kandar Prime. The Kandarians did not meet the ship on the planet bellow however, but instead allowed it to park in the star station that Kandar Prime’s moon had been transformed into. Kandar Prime’s moon, Ular, was where they were met with the Kandar emissaries.

“Greetings Allies.” Spoke Soran, the voice of the Empress. “Thank you for coming. We need you to take our Princess off world and evacuate as many Kandarians as possible. Our own fleets have been meticulously destroyed, so we need your help.”

“The princess is waiting for you. She would very much like to meet you.”

The Yazara delegation exited their main ship once they had landed on Kandar Prime's moon. King Marriac and Togara led the small group, with two men standing on either side of them, holding poles bearing the flag of Yazara, a large red dragon breathing fire. Marriac was a massive man, at least two feet taller than most tall humans. He wore heavy armor and bowed his head when they reached Soran who was representing the Empress. "We are glad to be able to help in your time of need. However, where is the Empress? Will she not be coming with us?" The king inquired, before ordering Toraga to go and greet the princess while he and Soran spoke. Togara sighed but obeyed his father's command, splitting from the delegation and heading toward the princess' location.

"The emperess is attempting to buy us time. She's commanding troops on the surface. They are weathering the first wave, though they are merely testing our defenses. Make no mistake, this is a final stand for many of us. Though I will try to see if she's aviable to talk or assist you. She very much would like to meet you" Soran remarked. "There are two other things that need to be done as well, if you do not mind of course." He spoke. "One, there is a weapon deep within this planet we believe the slimes may want. And two, we believe they may be summoning their... God. Stopping them may be in your interests as well in that case."

The princess looked up at Togara. She got up, nodding slightly. She was tall, about seven feet tall. The empress was even taller it was said, about the same height as the king. The Princess bowed. "It is an honour to meet you." She spoke with a soft and nervous voice. She was trained, but not tested in combat.

Since they decided they wanted to start sharing a room and Cora didn't have nearly as much stuff as Katie, it only made sense that she would be the one to move. As anxious and excited she was about, there was something else on her mind as well, Christmas.

Cora was vaguely familiar with the holiday and had already been exposed to the decorations and the music, however... it just wasn't clicking. She didn't understand the holiday, or what it had to do with a baby being born thousands of years ago. Still Cora knew how excited Katie was about their first Christmas together so she had tried to do some research and figure out what was so important about this holiday, but nothing was clicking. She could always fake her enthusiasm, but that felt dishonest and she didn't want to lie to Katie, Sighing the cyborg went on with her task, wondering why this thing called Christmas was so difficult to understand.

Katie chuckled as she electrically slipped through the building walls, appearing behind her lover and hugging her from behind. "Hey Cora." She spoke, spinning herself around in joy, having barely been able to sit still for the past few days. "In the words of a famous song, "It's the most wonderful time of the year!"" she exclaimed, twirling like a ballerina. "Don't worry Cora, I'll teach you all about Christmas. Shame you can't meet my family, but they're all in Maine now for the reunion, and I can't be there for... well obvious superhero reasons." She remarked.

The same amount of blood does not need to be split to fulfill the blood-debt. Go to the death entities, bargain for your galaxy. Vengeance has been taken. Asgardians die in battle too often. But do I go ravage worlds in revenge? Nay, we carve their names upon the Wall, and I make a statue of each and everyone. I will be making more statues when this day is over, I should think. So for both of our sakes, withdraw thy army, and let us not fight."

"Is this what thy people truly want? Moreover, think on this, Alastir. Let us imagine that you do not draw back thy armies, and fulfill your blood-lust. What then? Do you think the Midgardians will simply let you go? It is not for naught that one of their teams is called "The Avengers." Some of thy galaxy still remains, but if you spill the blood of Midgardians, be assured that they will look for thy galaxy, they will find it, and they will destroy the rest of it in their rage. Do not doubt their capabilities," she said.

"This, Alastir, is thy final chance,"
the psionic manifestation said. "Heed my words, or pay for it at great cost. For we both know how this shall end if you continue to fight."

She pushed back against Alastir's sword and dagger, channeling the Valkaforce through her swords, all the while attempting to weaken the strength of the weapons using her metal weapons. And as they were nearly face to face, she swept a leg under his, to at least break his balance as their weapons clashed and sparked.

"Hey there Valka." Spoke a voice from behind the All Mother. Katie seemed surprisingly casual despite the fact there was some sort of invasion. She was wearing some sort of space suit. "Sorry, the rest can't be here... well I don't know if they can't or anything it's just I got here first." She remarked, shotgun in hand as she pulled it out. "Need any help with this whole debacle? I mean I feel like I should since they're invading earth, my home." She remarked.

The Republic of Atria wrote:"Hey... Katie! That's your name! I remember you from when all those slimes were attacking Asgard!" Otis said to Katie. "Guy over there is being a douchebag. And we're trying to stop him." Just as he was talking, the beams fired from Alastir's ships smashed into Xander's shield. Which easily withstood the blasts. "Those are new..." He muttered and his Motherbox beeped a few times. "Really? Like... Completely? Beyond the shadow of a doubt?" The Motherbox responded with a single beep. It was talking to Otis telepathically. "Well, I can do that." He smiled. "Hey Katie, wanna help me take out those ships? They're empty. Just husks of metal and magic." Which was great news to him. He refused to fight people, however, creating a junkyard in space while keeping the Earth safe? He was more than happy to scrap empty ships. Because that meant that he didn't have to restrain himself. "Watch this Alastir." Otis said and fired a pair of his Omega Beams Which smashed into two ships and completely erased them. As if they never existed. "While you're busy with Valka, I'ma go blow those up. Wanna help stop a very stupid god?" He asked Katie.

"Sure. Got nothing better to do. You take the ones on the left and I'll take the ones on right." Katie remarked nonchalantly before suddenly disapearing. She then reapeared in front of one of the ships. It attempted to turn around to fight her, while the girl just smiled and pointed her gun. "Say hello to my little friend." She pulled the trigger of her boomstick, firing a beam which negated the ships electrical field and leaving it little more the scattered atoms. She apeared in front of another ship and this time rended it to pieces with a magnetically accelerated shotgun blast. She tore the ships apart one by one, either scattering their atoms across the place or simply tearing them apart. The ships couldn't shoot her to save their life, being literally too fast for them and able to turn intagible on a dime. "Like fish in a barrel." She muttered, then she grabbed the husk of a ship magnetically and turned to the others, smiling as they pointed weapons at her. She then accelerated the empty ship many times past lightspeed, causing shrapnel to tear it and a bunch of other ships apart. All in all, she was tearing through her side pretty darn handily.

Supreme Demonic Dark God Alastir

The reaction was near instantaneous for Alastir, the Masaki Brothers, Shimura, and Arctico, causing all of their eyes to widen in sudden shock, the death's of trillions of people resonating a disturbance so great that Shimura himself was about to strike back at Xander and the Praetorian. However, the reaction was the most severe coming from Alastir, he suddenly grasped his head in pain, the sheer curses and desires of revenge began to flood into his mind, it was pushing him to his breaking point, but suddenly, when Alastir stared up at Xander, there was one thing running through his mind, vengeance "So..." Alastir replied in a dark, distorded, and yet bone chilling cool voice, the atmosphere around him became deathly quiet "I've let the Earth live for this long, but now?" Alastir's body began to break apart at the seems as his voice took to a downright demonic voice "I will make my promise come to reality!!!" Alastir screeched, a pillar of darkness surrounding his being as he began yet another transformation.

The sheer energy output from his transformation caused a massive burst of energy from all around him so great that it could have been felt at the ends of the Universe itself. Alastir let out a wrath-induced screech that caused the very pillar of darkness to begin to slowly break apart at the seems, his screech creating a Sonic Barrier around him as the pillar began to crack, he was calling upon the endless void that was the power of dark energy, the Demon Realm, Hell, every realm that was immersed in darkness, all of it's energy was diverting itself to him "EARTH IS HISTORY!!!" Alastir yelled from within, a rampant amount of dark energy that was capable of ripping a star system began to crash against the shield that protected Earth with unrelentless force, the force of nature that Alastir called upon, now his intent was downright true, he would bring his wrath upon Earth, and he would not stop until the very fundamental force that made darkness up would be destroyed.

It was at this moment that with a final shout of unrestrained anger that the barrier suddenly shattered into pieces before compressing all around Alastir in a display of force, and instead of his normal form being present, all there was stood a mass of darkness that began to take shape into a being of demonic nature that was downright horrendous to stare at. As the being finally took shape, there stood the pinnacle of all darkness, the Makaioshin of the Demon Realm, and the Almighty Master of Darkness himself. There stood Demon God Alastir in all of his majesty, the ultimate pinnacle of darkness that continued to absorb the Dark and Demonic Energies without ever stopping, It was here that Alastir would make his promise come to pass, Earth would be destroyed no matter what now! "You..." Alastir reared his head to a Praetorian who dared to advance towards him, and with only a thought, Alastir manipulated his molecular structure and essentially wiped him out of existence entirely "Your wife is going to die first you fool, then I will make you watch as Earth becomes nothing but a plume of dust!" Alastir yelled back with a screech, not even moving a single bit.

Alastir suddenly turned his head towards the Sigma Seven, who were all staring at Xander with shocked and angered expressions on their faces "Asumar, Kazuko, Shimura, Arctico..." Alastir said blankly, offering his hand to them "You now see what I mean, these Earthlings, the scum who wiped our home from the face of the Universe, they can never be trusted with the power they have, we must, no..." Alastir turned back to Xander, closing his eyes before abruptly opening them with the eternal fire of hatred "We NEED to destroy the Earth before they cause anymore damage, they are risking the very existence of the Universe with the way they run about, Earthlings can't be free to do what they wish, they need to be systematically exterminated until their very foundations are rendered null and void, while their defenders." Alastir grinned such a horrifying grin that would cause many to cringe "Must be culled."

"Hey, Asshole! Stop shooting at my planet!" Shouted Katie, now done with her side of ships. She had mostly been playing around before, but now she was serious, she zapped up to Alastair. She aimed her shotgun at him. "Though I'm not exactly a fan of Xanders methods at the moment, I have to agree with him. The reason why we haven't killed you is cause we're the good guys, if you threaten our homes and loved ones, what the heck do you expect us to do? Sit around with our thumbs up our asses?" She spoke. "You need to make a choice to stop fighting. I know it's hard, and I know your angry, but if none of us stops this shit then we're all going to wind up fucked."
