Planet Surface
Solmu was sent flying backwards by the punch, surprised by the force of it. She twisted to avoid the oncoming sword and laughed. "Little girl didn't your mother tell you not to play with swords?" She asked. Suddenly Prototype sprang up and appeared behind the woman, striking her in the small of her back with a punch. She flew forward, only to be intercepted by Prototype again, who delivered a knee to her gut, sending flying the other way.

Prototype attempted to do this again, but Solmu adapted quickly, twisting to avoid the punch, and delivering a roundhouse kick to Prototype's face, which sent him flying to the right, and into Conundrum who had no chance to avoid the Android. Prototype groaned at sat up. "Are you alright?" He asked the Half-Blood. Conundrum groaned in response. "No..." He said, trying to rise, but failing.

Solmu gave Prototype no rest however, as she was right on him again before he could do anything else, delivering a kick to his midsection. She laughed again. "Come now little Android. Surely you can hit me?" She taunted, delivering a punch to his face, and a kick to his ribs. Prototype was sprawled out on the ground, and Solum aimed a kick for his head. However Prototype managed to catch her foot and trip her.

He was on top of her in a second, holding her on the ground. She chuckled. "Oh? So soon? We just met!" She insisted, and the Android began to... Blush? He wasn't aware that he could do that. The distraction was all Solmu needed, and she delivered a palm-heel strike to Prototypes nose, sending him flying off of her. She stood back up and chuckled again. "Men. You're all the same." She noted.

Then she looked at Black Sun. "I've not forgotten about you little girl!" She said, firing a burst of five red Ki-blasts at her in rapid succession.

Cora felt it was kind ominous the way that Kylie ignored her and Marybeth and merely led them outside, that's when Kylie started talking. Cora gulped slightly when Katie was brought up, her girlfriend was not going to be happy. Cora sighed, and took a deep breath before speaking. "Look Kylie, I'm sorry that I never told you, but I was trying to protect you. I knew you and others might try to stop me, and if it went bad I didn't want to compromise the team. But, I won't apologize for what I did. I know I never told you really, but the place where I was created was horrible. It was a hell, where I was tortured constantly. Now they were trying to put a bunch of kids through that same thing. I just couldn't let that happen Kylie I refused. " Cora said, getting visibly angry again, not at Kylie but the memories of her time in the lab. She took a deep breath and continued. "I didn't mean to put the team in danger, but I won't regret what I did, I just can't."

It wasn't her place to say the reasoning for going there, nor did she believe the threat was intended for her. How Kylie knew Cora was the ring leader here was beyond her, but she suspected it had something to do with Jamie. Thus, she simply listened to both without speaking until both had their turn. Then, Marybeth chimed in, hoping not to make things worse. "It was a personal duty for Cora is my guess," she started. "Stomp your own snakes and all that. Empire of the Siberian Flaming Eskimos wrote:-snip-

Valancy had taken a quick detour, floraporting to the nearest river, dumping her customary coat in water, thoroughly soaking it, shivering as she put it back on. But she had no time to save, and so, she ignored the cold, immediately arriving at the sight of the fire. Telling the firefighters that they were going in, she quickly sprouted the fire-resistant ice plants, wrapping it around her hands, blending it with the wooden gloves she also made. "Ok!" she yelled over to Del, leaping over a wall of fire, looking up at the stairs. She was uncertain about their safety, but she had to try. Leaping 7 steps in a bound, she heard a groan and immediately jumped again, the stairs collapsing beneath her. Thankfully, she had landed safely, and heard someone screaming for help. Shattering the wooden door with her powers, she stepped through, and immediately found herself on fire. But her soaked overcoat saved her, steam rising off of it as it burned, and Valancy tucked and rolled several times, before she found herself to be extinguished. Seeing a young man, she grabbed him, took off her overcoat and wrapped it around him. Then, shattering the window with a punch she jumped, taking the man with her, seemingly falling to their deaths, the man screaming. But Valancy held out a hand and a tree grew beneath her, its branches comfortably catching both of them and setting them to the ground. Mother Earth put her overcoat back on and asked whether the man was alright, and receiving an affirmative answer, immediately commanded the tree to sweep her up and take her back to the building. She continued to move up levels, eventually simply throwing people out of windows after quick assurances, making sure her trees caught them safely, and then moved on. "This is why every superhero team should have a water manipulator," she muttered to herself with a smile, throwing another person out, the tree catching them again. But the next woman she rescued turned to her and said, panicked, "My daughter's still in her room, trapped!"

Valancy's eyes widened and she nodded quickly, throwing the woman out with considerably less grace, rushing through the level, and finding the daughter's room, busting in the door, she saw the little girl, surrounded by flames. Going out again and grabbing a fire extinguisher she saw nearby, she figured out how to operate it and successfully stopped the flames, grabbing the little girl. "Your mommy's alright, don't you worry. Now close your eyes, and let's get out of here." The building began to creak as she carried the child, her face beginning to grow worried. Just as they neared a window, there was a crash, and a stone pillar began to fall. Valancy's eyes flicked from the pillar to the window, knowing that she could not get herself out in time. So, kicking the window, she hurled the girl through, just as the concrete pillar fell on her, Valancy screaming in pain. Stars appeared before her eyes, and yet, she knew that the girl was still falling. Trapped underneath the pillar, she gritted her teeth and reached out a hand, a maple tree slowly growing up, Valancy sighing in relief as she directed the tree to catch the girl and was successful in that effort. But now, she had to save herself. She attempted to lift herself up, only to groan in pain once, turning and seeing that the concrete pillar and several other parts of the ceiling had fallen on her. She shouted, as loud as she could, "DEL!!!!" and then slumped again, falling unconscious, the flames growing ever closer.

But the rest of the team remains Anti, but they have been captured and imprisoned. One of your missions is to find them and help them escape. As for the next mission, I've been hearing reports that the Reggies are buying construction material and having it transported to an unknown sight. There are other reports which says that this is a superhuman prison. I'm leaving it up to you to find the prison, rescue all heroes, if possible, and if not, get me some details about its security features.

Part 2

The Xyrixma do not leave dust. They do not leave debris, rubble or any remains of the kingdoms that fall to their ravenous appetites. They take water, air, earth and lives, so none have lived to tell the tale of a Xyrixma invasion. All that is left after a Xyrixma feast is a void. A great emptiness as if the worlds were simply plucked by the heavens and spirited to an even darker void.

That was the fate of eight of the ten worlds. Portals opened by the queen herself led vast hordes of Xyrixma unto the worlds.

Niffilhiem was the first to be stricken from reality, great water and matter eating Xyrixma sucked the frost into themselves. Muspelheim was next, and it was felled much the same way, simply absorbed into the host, wiped out like a stain from the universe. Hungry slimes devoured these elemental planes like a mere appetizer for the banquet to come.

Helheim fell with Nifflehiem, the realm of the dead was first crushed before it was consumed. Hel put up a fight, using her deadly magic to fell more than a few of the horde before one of the War Council simply sucked her into herself. The souls and servants of death were devoured like morsels.

Nidavellir was first flushed of life before it was destroyed. Lesser slimes rolled in like an endless tide, silencing one by one the forges of the dwarves. Magic could only protect them for so long as the sheer number of slimes overwhelmed dwarf defenses, giving the massive Xyrixma time to devour the now cold forges, the embers long since extinguished. Svartalhiem and Alfhiem was annihilated with similar speed, the forces of the slime queen simply crushing the plane. Most of the casualties were of the lesser slimes in the taking of these worlds, the large ones and even the planet sized Xyrixma not taking much of a blow.

The Jotuns had thought their size impressive, but were shocked when they noticed a blue massive slimey face hovering above their world, standing on the branches of Yggdrasil itself, the Xyrixma punched the world once, cracking it open like an egg, the ice world shattering under the blow. Then she devoured it’s insides like a coconut.

Vanaheim fell next, and while the Vanir tried desperately to defend themselves. Having many powerful gods, Vanaheim served almost as a practice round for the siege of Asgard itself, it’s destruction causing the most Xyrixma casualties, but this was not enough to put a significant dent in the forces of Queen Xyrix.

Finally, the last of the realms that remained were Midgard and Asgard. Xyrix would leave the former for later destruction, and the latter was her goal in all this, however first she had something to destroy beforehand.

Xyrix stood before the world tree itself, currently larger than herself. It was the world tree, the connector of the nine realms. She put her slimey hand on the trunk of the tree, feeling it’s age and size. Then, a moment later, she began to absorb it, taking the matter into herself and converting it into more of herself. Piece by piece, branch by branch the tree was devoured. By the time she was done, the Xyrixma was much larger than she had been. She turned to Asgard.

“Your end has come Asgardians. We are your destruction.” She spoke. “We are Ragnarok.”

Kirisvala was currently in her room, practicing her magic. After both the mission against Nico's parents and the incident with the cyborg intruder, she felt that she hadn't been very useful in combat as of late, so she was trying to remedy that. Alongside the combat training she had recently taken up, which had sadly not gone very far just yet, she was also attempting to learn how to make her magic both more efficient and more powerful. She wasn't quite sure how to do that, but she wasn't going to give up at it. So far, she was just repeating the spells she knew to see if she could perfect them throug practice. Her melodic voice echoed through her room as she sang one of her spellsongs, before abruptly switching, and then doing so once again. In a short span of time, the dummy in front of her was crystallized, set on fire, and then shielded from damage.

Before she continued on, however, she felt something odd on her head. She blinked, and then listened as a familiar voice spoke to her, the voice of the cute fairy she had met a while ago. Smiling, she looked into her mirror, seeing that Ava was indeed on her head, resting inbetween pink locks of hair. "Oh, hi Ava." The Hadrian said cheerfully, before sitting down on the side of her bed, opting to stop training for now. "I was just practicing my magic a little. I don't really want to be a burden next time we have a mission..." She said, sounding a little down, though she cheered back up quite quickly. "Anyways, how about you? Did you come here just to see me?" The girl asked.

A moment later, however, she, like the rest of the Young Bloods, received Mars' call, and stood up to head down to the Command Room. "I wonder what it is... Oh, well. We'll find out soon enough, right?" She conversed with Ava as she left her room and walked into the elevator.

Mars waited a little impatiently as everyone made their way to the command room. It was clear that he was excited and invested in whatever was going on. Nico arrived just as Kiris and Ava got there as well. "Hey guys, good to see you." He said to the fairy and the Hadrian, waving to them since a handshake would probably not work out too well with either of them.

Once the whole team was assembled, Mars spoke, showing a map on the screen that displayed the recent robberies. "So I've been tracking reports of robberies happening once a week in this general location." He said pointing to the map. "I've been tracking police reports for banks, and other targets for robbery in the area and a hit came tonight, exactly a week since the last one. I'm sure its the same person or group, and this is our opportunity to catch them. We have no idea really who this is, because they always escape the cameras, but I know as a team we can handle it. Who's in?"

Nico nodded, "I'm in, sounds like whoever this is deserves to get taken out. Besides, I've been dying for a little more action lately." He said with a smile. Mars nodded, looking to the others to see how they would respond.

After she finished speaking, Marybeth chimed in with an... interesting theoretical situation. "I get help. Doesn't matter to me the situation like that, I never want to do something alone if I don't have to. That's not a 'being lazy' thing, that's a 'I trust others enough to mess with my personal business" thing." Kylie accentuated her statement with air quotes. "If I had a problem, and it wasn't just like a no-clean laundry problem or something like that; a real problem. I would ask all of you at home for help. And if you said no, then whatever. I could go ask the Avengers, or the Justice League, or the Corps. Lots of heroes are willing to help, if you bother to ask them. Doesn't matter, the point is that even if you did the right thing, you didn't do it the right way. You should've at least let us know, even if you didn't want our help.

"But, I guess I can see the sense in some way." Kylie concluded, her hand on her chin. "You didn't want to bother us, or get us involved if something went wrong. Even though we got involved anyways... Whatever. Just make sure to tell Katie, because she'll either hear it from you, me, or the police. Okay?"

"To bad those cameras don't record sound or I might hear who they are rather than watch. And with no sound I have no idea what those cameras showed, I haven't mastered my skills in listening to what electronic sound translates to what color on a tv, or any screen really." Good thing I can make my voice echo anywhere I want so I didn't have to be in the room to speak to everyone. After accidentally hurting them the last thing I want is to see their faces as they look at me, I can't help from seeing their faces when I'm outside of my room but I can at least prevent them from having to look at me. If I can hold out for a week nobody will be able to remember, thank God humans don't have any sort of long term memory. "No need to talk back to me, I'll hear what's going on, after all, when I'm outside of my room, I hear what you're saying, and what you're doing, every moment, always. In other words I'll hear when we're moving out and I'll follow and try to help without, you know, accidentally blowing up your eardrums. Sorry again."

Done with all activities related to blending in with the people of this era, Nelli simply stood by, patiently waiting for the others to finish as she remained near Kylie, curious as to what this endeavor would bring, but not particularly eager to rush things, and content with simply waiting and following the green girl's lead. While she and Salis argued, the Star Demon halfling simply stood back and toyed around with her obsidian knife for a bit, ignoring the shouting and angry huffing going on between those two, instead wondering if blending in was even necessary when she could just cloak everyone, though she soon decided that it was probably for the best. They might have to split up at some point.

She was thinking of this when Kylie barged into the men's changing room, but rather than pay any attention to that, she continued with her business. It was only when she heard the older girl's loud exclamation that she finally looked in her direction, just in time to see her close the door and explain the situation. She tilted her head when she heard that the others had gone home, not expecting them to bail out when they seemed mildly concerned with the mission at hand, though she supposed cowardice was not out of the question even with magicians, heroes and police officers. Or maybe they just decided that dressing up in a medieval attire was more trouble than it was worth.

Noticing that Kylie was rather down, the winged girl walked up to her and patted her on the shoulder. "Why are you concerned?" She asked. "If they abandoned the quest like that, then they would have been of no use whatsoever even if they had remained. It was the three of us since the beginning." She stated, and then backed off, before looking around. "Now then, where do we go?"

Black Sun smiled when she saw the red-skinned woman flying away into the horizon, though she frowned slightly when her blade throw was dodged. She briefly considered using the solar energy clasp on its hilt to direct it towards Solmu once again, but before she did so, Prototype appeared and began knocking the woman around. It was a good thing, and Black Sun cheered at him for it, but Solmu was now definitely out of range for her to attempt to stab her, and so, she recalled the viridian sword instead, to have it available for her next attack. As she continued watching, however, she noticed that Conundrum had been hurt by all the fighting, and also that Prototype had lost the advantage he had over Solmu yet again... this time for a reason that caused her to facepalm.

"Really? You let her go because what she said embarrasses you? You said you're an android! You can't even do that kind of thing! Why would you even claim you're more advanced than me when dumb animal instincts like those are still a problem to you?!" She complained loudly, before turning her attention back to Solmu, who had begun attacking her once again.

"And YOU stop calling me little girl, I'm probably older than your entire race!" The female cyborg shouted, before spinning her viridian sword very rapidly in front of her, forming a circular green barrier of pure destructive energy. When the red ki blasts crashed against it, they exploded harmlessly, unable to pierce through. Then, taking advantage of the smoke raised by the explosions, Black Sun flew forward towards Solmu, firing several beams from the palm of her free hand, in hopes that one of them would strike and cripple the woman. Not letting up, however, the white-haired girl continued flying up to her opponent and began slashing at her as swiftly as her artificial body would allow her, attempting to cut up the enemy into pieces. Solmu really annoyed her, so she was done fighting defensively.

She saw Mars, and briefly thought of walking up to him and maybe try to strike up a conversation, but in the end, she decided against it. They were good friends, and the awkwardness that followed the incident at the raid on the Alvarez gang had faded away for the most part, but Mars seemed rather focused on whatever was going on, and even a little impatient, so she figured she'd let him be.

Fortunately, it did not take long for the rest of the team to arrive, with some exceptions such as Rin and Nelli, and once most people were present Mars began explaining the situation, claiming that he had managed to track down a criminal or perhaps a group of criminals who had been robbing people in Jump City. Kirisvala frowned at this, and when Mars asked who was willing to take part in the mission, she immediately raised her claw.

"I'm in. After all it's our duty to keep Jump City safe, right?" The Hadrian spoke. Of course, that wasn't the only motive. She also wanted to make sure that nobody got hurt in the mission, Mars least of all--though such a thought made her feel a bit guilty for a moment--, but it was also true that she felt a duty towards Jump City, as she had lived there ever since her arrival on Earth.

Before saying anything else, she heard Rin speaking from somewhere else, and scratched her head a little. "Rin, it's okay, you don't have to hide. You can just come along with us. It was just an accident, so don't worry about it." The magician said, trying to cheer Rin up and encourage her to come along with them. Perhaps she was being too forgiving, as Hadrian ears were a lot more resilient due to their roaring capacity, but she failed to consider this.

Jamie appreciated Kylie's attempts to comfort her, but despite all of that, she still decided to stay outside the police station while Kylie went in to retrieve Cora and Marybeth. For starters, though it was a big part of it, her anxiety was not the only reason she was opting to stay outside. The officers had seen Final Boss as one of the culprits, whom they had failed to catch, and they had also seen Jamie Mason as one of the children who were trapped inside and who were undoubtedly questioned to some degree before being released. Either way her entrance would raise some eyebrows, most likely, so she figured that for her own sake and the others', she'd just stay outside, and that was exactly what he did, simply sitting off in some dark corner and using a random Archetype's powers to make herself unnoticeable for the time being.

When eventually Kylie emerged with Cora and Marybeth in tow, Jamie stood up, making her visible once again, and followed the three girls, although she did so hesitantly, not sure if she wanted to hear what was going to be said. Even though she had already said to the Green Lantern more or less everything she knew, and even though she didn't seem so angry at her anymore, the black-haired girl was still mildly scared.

It was fortunate, then, that most of the questioning done was directed towards Cora, with her and Kylie doing most of the speaking, and Marybeth only chiming in once. Naturally, Jamie said nothing, for the simple reason that she didn't want to and that even if she had wanted to, she wouldn't have known what to say. She simply left it to the three older girls to sort everything out.

Vera, having just come out of training, was wearing most of her equipment, including her helmet which she usually takes off during meetings. After the fight with the cyborg, she felt training was the best move, just so she would be ready if they fought someone else like her. She listened intently to the briefing, and when Mars asked who was in, she raised her hand, "I'm in". When Rin converses with the group, Vera is also left scratching her head, but only because she had forgotten what happened with Rin even occurred. Her helmet blocking a lot of the noise and confusion with the cyborg helped that, and when she did remember, she thought better then to bring up that it didn't affect her as much.

Ava, meanwhile, honestly wasn't paying attention to a lot of the briefing, having gotten distracted playing with a stray strand of Kiris hair. The few bits of the conversation she did hear she didn't fully understand, after all, who would rob a river bank? It wasn't until Rin spoke that she noticed they were talking about something probably important. She notices Kiris raise her arm to scratch her head, and moves out of the way, and flies over to Nico's head instead. "At least you did something yesterday, I got locked out!" She shouts, shooting a rather pouty look at Mars.

Prototype growled at Black Sun. "Oh shut up!" He said with clear irritation in his voice. Solmu in the meantime chuckled at Black Sun. "Ooh. It seems like I hit a nerve." She said. Suddenly Solmu felt searing heat on her body as one of the blasts hit it's mark, however she would not allow any more to hit. She avoided the rest of them, and then began twisting her body out of the way of each slash, however one caught the tip of her hand, cutting her skin.

She laughed at Black Sun mockingly. "Oh come now little girl I'm much too fast for you!" Solmu said, delivering a lightning fast punch to the girl's jaw. Prototype was back in action now, appearing behind Solmu and trapping her in a full-nelson hold. He then forced her upward, and then dive-bombed down at the ground, disappearing right as Solmu crashed into the ground. Prototype reappeared next to Black Sun and stretched his arms down at the ground.

"Care to make a weather forecast with me? It's cloudy with a chance of Ki blasts!" He said to her, unleashing a rain of ki blasts down at Solmu.

Cora
Cora hung her head a bit as Kylie spoke, she felt guilty when Kylie said she would have helped if Cora had asked. Saying that Cora should be able to trust them. "I'm sorry Kylie. I just wasn't thinking. I do trust you, all of you. You're my friends, and I care about you all so much." Cora said, hoping that Kylie knew that. The last thing she wanted was to lose her friends. She suddenly stepped forward and pulled Kylie into a hug. "Thank you for being my friend." She said softly, holding her for a little while before pulling away. "Come on, we should get back home." Cora said, as the group flew away back toward the city. Cora was not at all looking forward to facing Katie, but Kylie was right. Katie deserved to hear it from Cora.

Mars
Mars was glad to hear that everyone seemed to be on board. He heard Kiris trying to comfort Rin, hoping she would be able to convince her to come along with them. He then blushed a bit at Ava's scolding tone. Nico was smiling a bit as the small fairy rested on his head.

"Sorry Ava" Mars said. "Don't worry though, I'll get that fixed. I'll add in an emergency backdoor for you on the roof soon." Mars promised, nodding to Vera when she said she'd join. Nico smiled and waved to Vera when she came in.

"Alright its settled then. Let's get going. Get your equipment and suits and everything. I want to leave in 10 minutes. Mars said, marching off to his workshop to get his own suit and Rocket. He was really pumped for this mission and he was confident that they could win. Mars was finally starting to really feel like a leader. Leading his team to victory was thrilling for him and he was determined to do that tonight.

Nico went off to get his suit as well, it was a regular cloth based suit, that was the color of sand. Nico was a fan out, Kiris had made it for him and she did a good job at it. Nelli had enchanted it too, so that he could store sand within it. He went to his room and grabbed his suit before quickly heading up to the northern roof where they kept their plane. Mars certainly seemed to be in a rush about this whole thing, Nico wondered if there was something up with him.

Kylie hugged back, smiling, before looking to Marybeth and Jamie and mouthing You're next. When she released Cora from the hug, she had returned to smiling, giving no indication of what she had said to the others. "Alright, then let's go home. We'll explain it all to Katie and laugh about it tomorrow." She made copies of Green for Jamie and MB, if they needed them to fly, and began the trek home. Some pedestrians below stopped to look up, many took pictures, and some even cheered. From the looks of things, these girls had done a lot of good for the Big Apple, making people feel safe from the super badness that permeated many cities across America. Kylie waved back with a giant green hand, and the girls eventually got home and rode the elevator up to their apartment.

"We're home!" Kylie shouted out to the building. She was unaware that Val and Del had come home, in her effort to rescue Cora from the cops, and therefore didn't know that they were out doing something heroic. Right now, she was just wondering where Katie was in the building so that they could get on with the emotional outburst that was bound to happen.

Black Sun grinned slightly as her attacks began hitting their marks, with her opponent being slashed and blasted, though both attacks had caused relatively superficial damage, while she would have liked them to be more harmful. However, Solmu did not seem to be bothered by this, not one bit, and that annoyed Black Sun even more, but she couldn't say anything before Solmu's fist caught her and sent her flying away once more. The worst part was that the red-skinned woman was right: she was a tad too slow as she was right now, slow and weak, but she couldn't afford to leave Prototype to protect her while she activated her next form, so she would simply have to make up for her weakness with skill.

Stabilizing herself mid-flight, the female cyborg had half a mind to rush back towards Solmu and attempt to skewer her once more, but it seemed like that was unnecessary at the moment, since Prototype seemed to have things under control, grabbing Solmu and smashing her into the ground. The white-haired girl looked at Prototype as he flew up to her, and chuckled as she listened and watched him send several blasts towards their enemy.

"Oh, don't mind if I do, though I'd like to make a correction..." Black Sun spoke with a sly grin on her face as she charged up energy once more, this time using both hands to control and gather it. "The part about ki blasts sounds accurate, but I don't think it's cloudy. In fact, I'd say it's rather..." She trailed off, before letting out a battle cry and sending a large sphere of solar energy crashing towards Solmu. "...SUNNY!" The cyborg finished, amused at her pun.

Kirisvala heard Mars urging everyone to grab anything they needed and meet upstairs where the plane was kept, and nodded, immediately turning around and heading back to her room to grab her things. Mars seemed very excited for the mission, and she didn't want to let him down, so she made sure she was prepared for anything. Thus, she quickly took off her regular clothes and put on her Dragon Mage costume, being extra careful not to tear the fabric with her claws, as she was very proud of her craftsmanship and didn't want any damage on the costume, even though it was likely to be damaged during the mission anyway; in fact, she'd had to re-make it several times, but she was still fond of it and was careful with it.

In record time, the Hadrian singer was all dressed up, with her red pointy hat and everything, and she was about to rush out of her room when she suddenly remembered her amplifier necklace. Backing away from the door, she looked to her dressing table, where the small necklace sat idly. She had been attempting to train her magic without it, reasoning that surely if her magic grew more powerful without need for the amplifier, then the amplifier would turn it even more powerful, while not necessarily making her overly reliant on it. However, figuring that it was better to be safe than sorry, she decided to take it along for the mission, and picked it up. As she looked at it, memories came to her of when she had obtained it, or rather, of when it had been given to her, by none other than Mars. She blushed as she remembered when she had asked him to put it on, a soft smile on her face, but she quickly brushed aside those thoughts, not wanting to get distracted and potentially hold back the others.

After a bit, the pink-haired girl arrived at the rooftop. Looking around, she noticed that Mars and Nico were already there, and smiled slightly when she saw Nico wearing the costume she had knit for him. "You look good today!" She complimented the sand manipulator, clearly alluding to the fact that she'd made the costume he wore, lightly punching him on the shoulder as a friendly gesture, having grown slightly more comfortable in having contact with others, though she was still quite wary about it. Afterwards, she headed over to where Mars stood, waving at him as she approached.

"Hi, Mars." She greeted him, and then clasped her claws behind her back while thinking of what to say. "You, um, you sure are in a good mood today." She commented with a smile. "I take it you're excited for the mission?" She asked him.

Seeing how the conversation between Kylie and Cora progressed, Jamie smiled a little, her fears being somewhat pushed back by how everything seemed to be fine so far. She was still a bit scared of everything that had happened, but she relaxed a little for now. That was, of course, until she saw Kylie's lips moving in a way that spelled out a rather ominous message. The sight of that caused the girl to pale again and shake slightly. She was completely silent as she traveled back home with the others, not feeling up for conversation in the least, hiding behind Kylie's trail of light as she did not want to be seen by the people flying around without her shades on.

When eventually they arrived back at the tower, she walked to the elevator alongside the others, directing a shy glance towards Mindy before turning her gaze away, feeling uncomfortable with having had to lie to her. The elevator ride to the apartment felt eternal and was excruciating for her, but she remained silent, not really able to work up the courage to say anything at all.

However, when the doors of the elevator opened up, Jamie took her opportunity and used the powers of her current Archetype to stop time, much like she had done when she had evaded arrest earlier in order to get Kylie's help. Then, with time frozen in place, she rushed over to her room and shut herself in, locking doors and windows. From the others' perspective it would be as if she had randomly disappeared, or perhaps teleported, though it wasn't particularly hard to guess where a girl like Jamie might have gone to hide.

While she calmly ate her hamburger, seemingly having no other care in the world for the time being, Nelli also took a moment to look at Yoshi. He was the reason she was doing all of this, so it was only natural for her to pay some attention to him. And as she did so, she noticed where his gaze was going. He was staring at her dress, and more concretely, at a few blood stains that were on her dress. Realizing what must have been going through his mind, she placed her hamburger on her lap for a moment, not minding the grease stains as she would have to her dress either way.

"It's mine, Yoshi." She said gently. "The blood is mine. I did a small magic ritual to get these. It was the simplest way for me to get you food." The winged girl explained, before staring into Yoshi's eyes. "Nobody was harmed, so don't be afraid, alright?" She told him, before resuming her meal.

After a few moments had passed, however, she remembered something. Reaching out for the plastic bag she had brought her and Yoshi's burgers in, she retrieves a small plastic container with a straw on it, and placed it on the ground next to Yoshi. "You said you were thirsty too, so I brought this." She stated. "I didn't know what flavor you liked, so I just picked something at random. I hope you don't mind orange-flavored soda."

Yoshi finished his burger rather quickly, he was beyond starving, an unfortunate side effect of not having eaten in hours and then being tossed through an interdimensional portal to...wherever he was at the current moment. In regards to the drink, he did not exactly care what it was, it was refreshing, even if he was not one for fruit flavored sodas in the slightest.

Food and drink aside, the fact that she had conducted a magic ritual intrigued him. Such things were not exactly common, but he had heard from other mutants that magic was all too real and had very diverse applications. He came out a bit from beneath his hood, emerald eye looking a bit worriedly, but also curiously at the girl. She had caused herself physical harm to feed him? He could not remember the last time that he had been shown such kindness. He was perplexed and looked at the ground, thinking for a moment's time before looking back up at her, clenching his little fists together as if he had come to some firm conclusion.

"M-may I see your wound?" he asked in a tiny, hushed voice that almost resembled the mew of a kitten. Assuming she could not heal herself, he intended to do it for her.

"I guess so..." Kylie replied, still somewhat mopey. "Guess the best thing to do is start walking." After learning the way out, Kylie led Nelli and Salis to the front gate of Castle Camelot. There, the handmaid from Arthur's room and a single knight stood waiting, holding by their side six horses. "What happened to the others?" The handmaid asked, concerned.

"They left." Kylie explained what had happened since the woman last saw the time travelers. "So we're just gonna start walking. We'll find Perceval eventually, he couldn't have gotten that far."

"Would you rather ride than walk?" The knight inquired, pulling forward the horses. "My king has offered mounts to carry you on your way. Ser Perceval was also sent out on horseback, so this will be the only way to catch him."

"Oh, alright then." The knight helped them saddle up, pointed them towards which direction Perceval left in, and waved them off beside the handmaid. It wasn't easy, riding, especially not for Kylie. She'd never ridden a horse before, and now she had to do it side-saddle. "Stupid dress..." She complained, fidgeting with it as our three intrepid adventurers left the peasant town for the nearby forest. On the bright side, the ride was peaceful enough; without modern inventions to mar the landscape, a medieval forest was beautiful, perhaps even breathtaking.

"Well, those guys missed out." Kylie said to Salis and Nelli. "You can't get things this quiet nowadays, err, in our time. It's kind of weird..."

Salis rolled his eye's at Kylie's retort, simply glaring in silence in response. He had already said his share and didn't see any point in dignifying her with a response. Silence ensued for awhile after, Salis continuing his stony look as he constantly scanned the area around them, making sure that no new threats had arrived. Eventually he noticed even Kylie was getting impatient. It all culminated with her storming out, a flash of light and yelling, followed by her dejected return. "Should've run the damn wizard through," he grumbled upon learning that the others had abandon them. The only real upside to the situation was that they could finally get moving. Following the two woman, Salis walked along with vigilante eye's still. One of the many rules that had been drilled into his head by Ra's was to always be on the lookout. Just because someone acted like your ally didn't mean they were, and the moment you let your guard down is when they strike.

Nothing interesting happened though, and soon they made it to a Knight and handmaid. Salis surveyed the horses as Kylie took the time to explain the unusual circumstances of their companions' departure. They seemed healthy and well kept, much better than any of the donkey's he had ridden in the Himalaya's with Ra's. As part of his training the man had required he learn mounts both modern and old. It was surprising how useful the skill was proving to be. When offered help, Salis simply glared at the Knight until he backed off, expertly mounting once given room. They then set off at a reasonable trot, though he wished they could move faster. As they moved through the town, Salis kept his guard up constantly, watching the onlooking peasants and farmers with a weary eye. Even when they reached the forest he continued to scan the bushed and trees in case the hid men of questionable morals.

His preoccupation with keeping watch kept all of his attention until he heard Kylie mention the scenery. It was almost as if he hadn't been paying attention at all. Looking around with a new focus, he noticed for the first time since the start of their ride how beautiful the scenery really was. Growing up in the city, Salis had never been privy to the countryside. Even during his time with Ra's in the mountains, he had been to busy training to really notice anything. It wasn't as if the harsh and barren landscape of the Himalaya's really gave much chance for enjoyment when forced to survive without proper food or clothing. The sights, the smells, all the trees, flowers, and animals; it was all so new and amazing to him. For the first time he truly heard the birds sing, and the animals move through the greenery. He had been staring for a solid five minutes when he finally realized his mouth had started to drop open in awe. Closing it quickly, a small clop slightly audible, he went back to his silent scanning. Now wasn't the time to enjoy pretty views and birdsong. They had a job to do and that was all that mattered.

He always liked her smile. It was calming, not to mention cute... He pushed that thought from his mind though and focused on the conversation.

"Well, I am I guess. I've been tracking this person for a while, and now we finally have a chance to catch them. I don't know, I guess I'm just finally starting to feel comfortable with team. I've never really liked being around... well people. It feels better around the team though. I feel like I... belong here." Mars told Kiris sincerely. She was one of the few people he opened up to so often. He was glad that the awkwardness between had pretty much disappeared since their failed attempt at a kiss a few weeks ago.

Marybeth looked rather uncomfortable with all the touchy-feely things Cora was saying, and was almost surprised when Kylie hugged back instead of recoiling. Then she remembered most people weren't like her. Shrugging, she let her eyes wander with her thoughts until she saw Kylie mouth "your next". Wait...does, does she think I'll cry and hug her too? How about no.... When offered the ring, she declined with a wave of her hand. How in hell did everyone forget she could fly? She occasioally smirked for the pictures, enjoying the attention. They probably are cheering for someone else, but hey, I'm part of this.

Once home, Marybeth sighed, stretching her back. "Alright, that was fun. I guess I'll go hit the showers now. I'm pretty sure I got blood on my leg, so I wouldn't want that staying there."

Seeing Yoshi simply take the beverage and down it without another word, Nelli considered her offer well-received, and simply resumed her own meal, picking up her burger and continuing to munch on it at a slow and steady pace, feeling in no hurry to finish, unlike her new friend, who was already done with the food she had offered him. Still, despite taking it easy, she was almost done by the time she noticed a change in Yoshi's demeanor, the defenseless young man looking up at her resolutely. Having now finished her meal, the winged girl tilted her head curiously at Yoshi's apparent determination, before hearing him speak and simply chuckling in response, shaking her head.

"So that was it? There is no wound, Yoshi. I hurt myself, but that does not mean I am still hurt. I heal very quickly. Look." The girl spoke, before attempting to demonstrate this. She raised her right hand, showing her palm to Yoshi, and then ran her left index finger across it, drawing a large gash on her palm, her flesh posing no resistance to her finger, which was, for some strange reason, unnaturally sharp at the moment. Blood gushed out, for a bit, but then abruptly stopped, and she used her burger's paper wrapping to clean her hand before showing her palm to Yoshi once again. It was unmarred and perfectly healthy, with no scar to speak of.

"See? I heal quickly." The girl said. "Anyway, do you feel better now?" She asked afterwards, hoping that he would feel stronger, refreshed and less confused now that he'd had the time to eat and drink something.

Nelli nodded at Kylie's response, and then simply followed her out of the castle and towards their destination, though before that, one of the King's knights was apparently waiting for them with some... Nelli actually had no idea what those things were. She had never seen a horse before, much less ridden on one, but even then, she didn't particularly mind having to use one. It was a learning experience, for starters, and either way she didn't think it would turn out to be too hard. After watching Kylie get on hers, she did the same with some assistance from the knight, and more or less followed Kylie's lead to see how to properly mount the beast. Needless to say, it wasn't an optimal learning, as Kylie herself wasn't particularly experienced with riding, but discomfort was something easy to ignore for Nelli, so the ride was not particularly difficult to bear.

As the group traversed the forest, the half-Star Demon had been wondering what the other Young Bloods might be doing during her absence, but she was soon distracted from those thoughts by Kylie's comment. Having initially paid nearly zero attention to her surroundings, Nelli now began scanning them, appraising them, and comparing them with one of the few natural environments she had as a reference: her home in the Hall of Descent.

"...It's alright." She concluded.

Kirisvala's smile grew slightly as she saw Mars turn around and confide in her. Even something as simple as talking to him was enough to cheer her up, especially since she was afraid he might be too focused on the upcoming mission to do something as simple as chat with her. Moreover, the trust he always showed her made her feel very happy, which may or may not have been noticeable to Mars or others due to the circular movement of her tail. "I'm happy to hear you feel good here with us, Mars." The Hadrian girl spoke, though in reality she meant something more along the lines of: "I'm happy to hear you feel good here with me." Regardless, she sought to uproot that train of thought before she thought, said or did something to embarrass herself. "I... also feel comfortable, I feel much more at home here than I ever did back home." She said, remembering with some sadness the treatment her family gave her due to their disagreements, though she quickly pushed those thoughts away as well, and simply continued smiling.

"Anyway, when we're back from catching this person, we should totally celebrate with pizza!" The pink-haired girl suggested with excitement.

"And today, several members of the Justice Queens were taken into policy custody after the destruction of a government falicity. They have just been released after Miss Lantern came to retrieve them from their cell."

Katie looked at the news with an expression of worry, shock and blankness on her face. This wasn't the first she had heard of this, in fact she was interviewed by a journalist regarding this and then was yelled at by their SHEILD sponsors, and Katie had to listen as she was told all this. She now listened to the news, desperate for updates, wondering where the heck her girlfriend and friends were. She put her head in her hands. She couldn't leave in case they came back here, so all she could do was sit there.

Cora noticed that as they got up the main floor of the tower Katie had not yet rushed to meet them. That worried the cyborg, hoping that her girlfriend was indeed alright and there at the tower. Cora turned to Kylie, "I'm going to go find Katie." She said to her friend, heading off through the tower to find the mutant. She didn't have to go far however, as once she got to the living room she saw the news on the television and Katie sitting with her head in her hands.

Cora frowned at this sight. Her girlfriend looked quite upset, and the Cyborg found herself staring at her for a few moments, not letting her presence be known. What was she supposed to say after all? "Hey Honey, I'm back from committing a federal crime! How was your day? Nothing seemed right, Cora had no idea how to deal with this.

She finally decided she needed to say something, so she just said the simplest thing she could think of, speaking softly, but certainly loud enough for Katie to hear. "Hi Katie".

Katie look at Cora, then paused, silent, not really sure what to say at first. What to feel either. Anger? Confusion? Relief? "Cora..." She started, then frowned. She had been worried sick about her. She wanted to wrap her in a hug and not let her go. If she was going to do anything she needed to know, everything. All the information, from Cora. She paused. She almost seemed to be tearing up slightly. Ignoring the overwhelming urge to embrace Cora was nearly making her physically sick. She didn't want to be upset, but she couldn't really help it. "Cora... please... first just... Explain what happened. From beginning to end. I need to know..."

Cora looked at Katie, who looked very upset and almost seemed to be crying. Cora was struggling not to hug Katie just as much, but somehow managed to restrain herself. She was feeling enormously guilty for distressing Katie, especially since Katie didn’t immediately shoot off on her, and rather wanted to hear her side of the story. Cora took a deep breath before speaking like Katie asked her to.

“I was going along with my work for the day. It was nothing big, escorting some prisoners to a high security facility, when one of my friends who was an administrator in the prison alerted me to something. He told me that kids were disappearing from the local juvenile prison nearby. Well naturally I was curious so I asked him for help investigating. He got himself transferred to the facility, and that’s when we found out what was going on.”

Cora paused, this part was hard for her.

“The government had restarted the android program. They were taking these kids from these detention centers and bringing them to some lab… It was just like the one they held me in.” Cora said, her mind rushing with anger again. She clenched her fists, trying to control her rage.

“I couldn’t let that happen again Katie. You know what they did to me, and I just couldn’t let them do that to anyone else, ever again. So, I decided I would destroy it. Just get rid of it so they couldn’t use it again. I needed back up though. So I went to Jamie for help.” Cora paused for a moment.

“I know I should have come to you Katie. But I knew you’d try to talk me out of it. You don’t like violence and I knew you wouldn’t agree with it. I just… Didn’t want to hear that in the moment. I was angry and wanted revenge. So Jamie agreed to help me and then Marybeth overheard us and came along as well. We went to the prison and tracked down the facility. We then stormed the place and blew it up. Don’t worry, no one died. There were some injuries but we did our best to take care of it. Before we could escape, the police showed up and Marybeth and I were arrested.” Cora finished the account of the story and then stood there quietly, wondering what Katie might say.
