Eternal Night, who was rather annoyed after her fight with Uxa was interrupted by the All-Mother teleporting everyone down to the Vault in order to 'keep them safe' from what was about to happen or some such nonesense, quickly raised her hand as if to chime in one the conversation at hand. "I support that notion. I like Thunder Girl's idea." She said, referring to Katie's suggestion of holding a banquet. Naturally, ever since she made a pact with the Autarch of Names, she had needed no sustenance of any sort, be it food or drink or even sleep, but she was still able to enjoy the taste of things. She was not too concerned with the looming threat of the Xyrixma horde, as one of their champions had been unable to harm her due to her particular powerset, even if she herself hadn't accomplished too much either. Leaving all of that aside, though, if there was something that the Xyrixma known as Uxa had gotten right about her, it would be the fact that she really did enjoy fighting.

Akihiko nodded idly at the catwoman's remark. "At least it looks like she'll stop bothering me now." He thought to himself as he waited for the female Kitsune's response. However, instead of that, Akari spoke again, and he found himself agreeing with her. It would just cause a lot of trouble if that annoying Taro were to find the kids first and scare them off with his demonic appearance. He was shaken off this train of thought when he noticed Masami begin following a trail with her nose. He observed the direction in which she was going, so that he would not get lost if she moved out of sight, and then, instead of walking behind her, he picked up the black scabbard that Akari had thrown at his forehead and attached it to his belt, a soft click sounding once the artifact was securely in its place. With that done, he took Kusanagi and placed it on the scabbard, the blade sliding down and clicking again once it reached the bottom. It was now impossible to remove from the magnetic scabbard unless one could get past the special mechanism Akihiko had designed so that only he would have the ability to do so.

With that done, the half-Oni trailed after the Yokai sisters, soon seeing the children trapped in the cages, and the dark blade on the ground as well. It sickened him a little, too, much like it did with Masami, and he made sure to stay away from it, as he did not want it to mess with his impure blood and cause it to give away his lineage or something, even if such a thing was not likely to happen just from the proximity to a cursed artifact like that one.

Suddenly both he and Masami felt a hand on their shoulders, though the one clasping his was the one that bore the cursed gauntlet Agony, so it was significantly less comfortable than the gentle squeeze she gave to Masami. Either way Garnet soon walked past them, heading for the cells, ignoring the sword.

"You guys ought to remember that we're a team, you know. What's the big idea, leaving me behind like that?" She remarked as she proceeded to tear off the bars of the children's jail cells with her gauntlet, before smiling at them. "Now run along, little ones. You're free." She said to them.

Akihiko's mouth was slightly agape. He was amazed of how she had approached the blade just like that, and was completely unaffected.

After having given all of her gifts to the soon to be wed couple and receiving their heartfelt thanks in return, Hadrimmelis excused herself and then simply hovered along the sidelines of the party, making a half-assed effort to block out the thoughts that everyone was broadcasting to the powerful psionic dragon that stood among them. She could make out many familiar faces (and many familiar thought matrices, for that matter), but she opted against approaching them for the time being, as glad as she was to see them again, and instead, the Black Dragon dedicated herself to the task of exploring Praetorian gastronomy, which is an elegant way of saying that she stayed near the snack bar, tasting everything on it, sans the tablecloth of course.

When the main event began, that is, the wedding of Xander and Naja, the World-Dragon found herself at an impasse: she was familiar enough with human events (thanks to scanning the minds of those present) to know how the thing would go, but, even though she had fought alongside Xander and Naja both during the Builder War, she did not consider herself to be a friend of either one in particular, and so the choice of where to sit was a tad difficult, though in the end she figured that she'd sit on Xander's side, since he had been the one to send the invite. Following protocol, she clapped and cheered the couple on once they kissed and were declared husband and wife, both because it was the proper thing to do and because she was happy for them.

Salt Lake City, Utah

Vega loomed back at what he had done to the city and it's poor inhabitants. He walked away from the city planning to go west towards California. He knew lots of people lived there, and he would enjoy causing utter destruction to the lives of everyone. Vega heard more sirens coming towards him. He thought it was police and he got into a battle stance, but saw it was just ambulance. Vega didn't want to attack it so he could save the power for the other cities. He then thought to himself "Really, I guess it doesn't matter. I'll regain the little energy I need to destroy this vehicle quickly enough". After that though, Vega shot a small light beam from his finger, and the ambulance blew up on impact. He then saw a news can drive up near the destruction. He went into his Shadow Form, and made his way behind a wall. Vega then listened to the news reporters and their information.

"Hello, my name is Kelly Baxter. I am here today to discuss the terrifying events that took place in Salt Lake City today. Supposedly, a man, who was around 6 foot 1, very muscular, and was in a leather jacket and jeans went rampaging through the streets by...wait, that can't be right. He summoned fire to burn the people. But...that's impossible. Anyways, eyewitnesses say that they thought he was a demon, and burn victims say how the fire was the hottest flames they've ever seen. And the flames were...that makes no sense. The flames were supposedly a translucent blood red color. But thousands of families were affected by this, as many lost siblings, parents, and children. Thank you for watching ABC national news, and goodnight".

Vega laughed at the report. He was so proud of his work, all the death, destruction, and chaos he cause. Unfortunately, someone heard the laugh. The cameraman said "Did you hear that?" Kelly said "It's probably just the wind or something. Here, turn off the camera". But before the cameraman could turn off the camera, he heard the voice of Vega, who was trying to make them go crazy with fear. It was deep and angry, like how a wolf growls at an attacker. "Kelly, I know someone is there. We should investigate". Kelly said "No, Johnathan, we've gotta go. I told you to turn off the camera; millions of people will see this". But Vega then came from the corner "Why, hello there Mrs. Kelly. What a lovely surprise this is". Needless to say, Kelly was scared beyond reason. This man fitted the description perfectly with the eyewitness accounts. "Wh...who are you?" Kelly said, scared for her life. She signaled the cameraman to sneak towards the car and start it. Vega easily noticed this and said "Oh, not so fast. We can't have people leaving right now, now can we?" Vega shot a beam of light at the cameraman, and his ashes flew with the wind.
Kelly yelled out a deathly scream for her life as she tried to scramble away. Vega simply walked up to her, and grabbed Kelly by the neck. He brought her in front of the the camera, knowing full well it was still on, and whispered "It is time for you to die, Kelly. And your whole family, all of your friends, and millions of strangers will be watching. Isn't that nice". He squeezed her throat so hard that it was crushed in his hands, and Kelly's cold, lifeless body fell to the ground, while her head was still in Vega's hands. He threw it towards the camera with so much force that it went black.

The people in the newsroom and everyone around the country was in shock. They actually just so two people brutally murdered in cold blood on TV by some...some superhuman. News anchor Elizabeth Stevens said "Oh my...I can't...I can't believe it. My best friend is now gone. She was taken by this monster. Why, God, why did you do this". She began to sob on the table, and after that, ABC news ended for the night.

Charmera wrote:Xyrix paused for a moment, and then laughed. Her haughty laugher filling asgard with sound, able to be heard even in the vault. “A bold challenge All Mother. However, you mistake my clemency for stupidity. I will not come to Asgard first when my horde makes war with this verse, I have other plans. I will not fight on your terms. You will fight me on mine. When I bear down upon your home, it will be with the rest of the universe devoured. When we devour Asgard it will be with your allies broken or consumed. You will have no help to call. And I have no bowels to rip out.”

“However… I know threats will not sway you, so instead I will simply tell you the complete truth.” Spoke the voice. “I love my children as you do, I care for each and every one of them, for I was the first of our race and created the others from my own flesh. However in order to ensure survival, we need to eat. We need to feed. It’s simply how we function. Without it, my children die.”

“You mistake your role as well. When I say I will end you. It is not a threat one makes to an enemy, but an apology one makes to a pig before the slaughter. It is out of pity, not arrogance that I offer you a way out. I need to feed those under my care, and devouring part of your universe is the only way I can do that in time, and it need not necessarily be this part. So understand, that I act without malice, but with the need for my people in mind. I wish only for their prosperity and health. And if becomes a choice between your life and theirs, I will do everything to make sure my people are fed.”

“So don’t misunderstand you position. You are not enemies. You are not another kingdom to be conquered. You are not a land to be taken. No.”

“You are nothing but a feast to us. Prey to be consumed. And one day soon, we will eat. Like the sheep and the farmer, you will be devoured. So think on death instead, now that you have declined my reasonable offer. You may have much time to do so, or you may not. It depends on how hungry we are.” And with that the Eye departed. Gone from the sky in an instant, and with her the invading force.

In the Vault
"Well, she sound pleasant." Remarked Katie, having left Otis’ body. She then had an idea. “Oooh! Valka! I have an idea! Victory Banquet. With meat, mead and all sorts of goodies. Though I don’t really drink mead, but the other stuff will be awesome.”

"Victory banquets require victory achieved." Manifest said bitterly, underneath his ebony helm. "We may have staved off their forces, but their leader... She is a forced to be reckoned with. I will not banquet while I know my allies throughout the Universe are in peril." He summoned the Manifest Blade, staring at it for a moment. It was one of the most powerful and ancient weapons in the Universe, capable of defying the might of the Builders themselves- And it only held a portion of its power of olde.

"Valka. I... May know a way to defeat them. But should I attempt it, I may come out of it a changed person. I... Promise me this, All-Mother of Asgard. If my hand is forced, if the Blade is unleashed, and I fall to its deadly whims..."

He turned towards her solemnly, his midnight armour somehow far more ominous than it was before. "Do not let me continue on that path, by any means necessary. I have seen where it leads, and it leads to death and destruction untold. Will you promise me this, Valka Silverhand?"

She would understand the implications. The Manifest Blade, even in its present form, was powerful nearly beyond measure. During the Builders' War, Manifest had told Valka and the others of its greatest secrets, and had explained what going to the Throne of the Universe would do both to the Blade and to his mind.

Zaki took the opportunity to butt in. "I wouldn't go down the rash path just yet. Taking the fight to Xyrix would be tantamount to suicide even for a powerful being. In the space between universes, they have allies they can call upon, and home field advantage. Furthermore, there is no way to say for certain they will not anticipate such a strategy." Remarked the slime woman. "The Queen did not leave you alive out of clemency, she did it because attacking Asgard was no longer feasible. Especially stretching her forces so thing for too long. Despite her talk, she is not a mere stupid thug wanting a quick meal. She will likely wait a time before making another such bold strike. Though she may very well launch other raids like this one. If I may be so bold as to advise you both, I would suggest preparation and having a strategy in mind. The slime horde will not be back for a while at least."

"And against the Xyrixma... Morale is important. More so than you yet realise. You are asking people to fight slime beings who will be immense." She remarked. "Celebration may very well be a wise move."

She then paused. "Of course... if you want to... um... do that." She paused. "I did not mean to overstep bounds. I am more used to a role as a familiar... to magicians. Perhaps why I don't share the same bloodlust as my people any longer. I am well fed."

Katie then smiled, "Like the slime woman and the nighty lady said Manny. We don't know where they are or what their next move will be. The best thing to do would be to hold tight." She remarked. "Or maybe I just want to have a party in Asgard so I can check that off my bucket list. Oh and... where's Cora?"

Cora
Cora, Darian, and Serene had been fighting off one of the slime enemies off to the side. They were holding their own until the entire army of slime warriors began to retreat from Asgard. The three of them then returned toward the center where most others had gathered. Cora saw Katie and was relieved that she was okay. She flew down right next to Katie and gave her a hug. "Katie, I'm glad you're alright. What you and Otis did was really awesome, I saw it while I was fighting one of the other slime things. I'm fine too, don't worry. So, what are we going to do now?" Cora asked, having mostly missed the conversation that had just taken place.

Otis stood listening and comforting Saint Walker for about an hour. The poor man really did have almost everything that he loved destroyed. "Hey... I can see why you might be feeling down. Tell you what. I have a few friends in the Green Lanterns. I'll go have them show me the ropes. You sit here until you've got your head on straight and... Stuff. I'll take over until you're ready to get back into the game, alright?" He didn't get an answer from Saint Walker, but he really didn't need one. "I hope you feel better man. No one deserves that. Especially not someone like you. I'm really sorry Saint Walker. I'll do my best. I promise. Ring! Um... Earth Please." He said and flew into the sky. He felt bad for Saint Walker, but there wasn't much he could do. He had no idea how to use a power ring. But there were plenty of human ones that he hoped would be able to teach him. Someone had to bring hope to the universe.

However, as he was heading back home, he saw what could only be described as large warships heading towards a planet. "Well... I said I'd bring hope. But let's not jump into things blind... I've still got Mjolnir so that'll be plan.... B." He said to himself. "Um... ring. Er... What empire do those ships belong to?" He asked.

"Scan complete. Error. Unknown technology. Unknown species."

"Wait. What? Scan again." Maybe it was just a glitch. Which he hoped didn't happen often.

"Scan complete. Error. Unknown technology. Unknown species."

"Seriously?" He muttered. "Fine. Direct approach." He said and grabbed Mjolnir out of his tail and landed where the ships were headed. He found the planet swarming with parademons, though he had no clue what they actually were. They were attacking what seemed like the Kree. He knew they were responsible for the creation of the Inhumans. Which meant they were the whole reason he was the way he was. He had to save them! He saw a Kree squad about to be overran by a hoard of Parademons, which he quickly stopped by creating a powerful vortex with Mjolnir. "Who says Dues ex Machinas don't happen?" He asked. "So umm... I'm more of a follower than a leader."

The leader of the squad stepped forward. "You have our thanks." He was an Inhuman. He knew that much. But he saved their lives. "That's one of the weapons of your human gods, is it not?"

"You are correct in that. Thor. God of Thunder. You seem to know what's going on better than I do. What are these things and how do we stop them?"

"They're the shock troopers of Darkseid. Mindless drones that do his bidding. You're probably the most powerful person here with that hammer. You need to destroy them all."

"Oooohhhh... Yeah... I'm not really comfortable with killing." This caused the Kree sergeant to hit his hand against his face.

"You Earthlings and your blind morality... It's no different than swatting an insect! These insects will turn men, women and children into more of them! If you don't kill them, who are mindless drones. Mostly cybernetic, they will kill US. You Earth heroes have killed when you had to. Earn my respect Inhuman."

"Fine. But not because you told me to! This is for me." He said and flew into the sky and created a massive storm with Mjolnir. "Alright you... Para-whatevers! Prepare to be THUNDERSTRUCK!" He said and called down as many lightning bolts as Mjolnir would let him. Each one obliterating dozens of the monsters. He had to bring hope. The ring chose him to bring hope. And it seemed to be working.

Mars
Mars saw a girl around his and Kiris' age step out from behind Professor X. She looked very nervous and stammered quite a bit as she told them her name. She was wearing very thick headphones that made Mars wonder if she could hear them at all. "Hi, I'm Mars it's nice to meet you." He said, trying not to frighten her anymore than she already was. He understood what is like to suffer from shyness and being afraid to talk to people. He wasn't sure if she could actually hear him, but it was worth a shot.

He then listened to Professor X explain what had happened to Rin and Mars listened intently to her story. Then Professor X was in his mind again, telling him a secret that he was not to share with Rin. "So, she can't retain any long term memories?" Mars said in his mind to Professor X in shock, he had never heard of a mutation doing something like that. "So how are we supposed to help her? Do we have to keep reminding her who is?" Mars asked, curious as to how Professor X had been taking care of her. "We'll do our best to take care of her sir. We all live together in a tower, so we'll be there for her when she needs us." Mars continued with determination. Over the last week he had grown much closer to the Young Bloods, and had started to care a lot about the team, and he was willing to take in a new member who needed their help.

Naja walked down the aisle and stood across from Xander. They both grabbed eachother's hands and waited for their part. The part where they got to say "I do" and kiss in front of dozens of people. They waited what felt like an hour, but was little more than a minute to get to the good part. "Do you, Xander, take Naja, to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do." He said.

"And do you, Naja. Take Xander to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

"I do." She replied, trying to contain her excitement. Had her tail not been prehensile, she might have accidentally hit the minister with it. Given her strength, it would have been painful.

"Then by the power vested in me, I pronounce you husband and wife." He said and both Naja and Xander immediately kissed.

XAnder didn't remember setting up fireworks, but her certainly wasn't going to complain about them. He smiled at his wife and looked to the clapping crowd. For one of the few times in his life, he felt like he accomplished something. Something great. He had a beautiful wife, a country, many, many friends. "Thank you. All of you. I couldn't have made it this far without meeting all of you at some point in my life. And I think this sets the stage for a beautiful and bright future. For all of us." He smiled and kissed Naja and whispered in her ear. "And I've got something special for you..." He snickered. "Now. For the next best part of the wedding: Cake!"

Manifest, seated on Xander's side, smiled as he watched the two soon-to-be-weds as they awaited their vows. As a SHIELD agent, he had seen dozens of weddings- Sometimes as a guard, sometimes as a spy, but very rarely as an actual guest. He clapped along with the others, chuckling a bit when the fireworks started. Suddenly, he smirked. Ya know what? What the hell. He held his hand open, summoning and then setting off miniature coloured rockets at the same height as the rest of the fireworks. After a few moments, he set several off at once, spelling out "Congratulations!" in the sky from Xander and Naja's perspective. After this, he returned to clapping. When Xander announced it was time for cake, Manifet laughed, joining the rest of the wedding attendees.

The mental conversation lasted a bit longer, but would stop soon, the best way for this to work was by having them find out what to do at the same pace as Rin, or at least it seemed the best way. "You don't have to constantly remind her who she is, a week is enough time to remember who you are and retain it. In essence, how often do you feel needed to recall an event more than a week ago except when specifically prompted or when seeing or hearing something related to it? And for Rin, a week is normal to her, if you live your entire life like that then that becomes the normal for you. Just be to her what you are to the rest of your team members and she will flourish, I can assure you that because after all." Xavier smiled a moment "She was part of the first team I ever made over 40 years ago. And she would be welcome to join again if it didn't seem better for her to become part of a team where all are around her age, at least her physical and mental age."

And with that said Xavier said a small verbal goodbye and wished his best to the Young Bloods and Rin. Mentioning she can contact him or the x-men whenever she felt a need to. Rin waved her goodbyes and looked back at Mars. "Nice to meet you Mars, ..., I like your robot. Does he have a rocket punch?".

Xander and Naja watched the amazing cascade of fireworks from both Manifest and Kylie. It was a great day. Both of them were as happy as could be. Most of the Galaxy would know they were a power couple. Quite possibly the most powerful couple in the galaxy. They were leaders. They were kind. And they were happy. "Thank you everyone. You've made this the happiest day of our lives." Xander said. "And I hope to return the favor. Please. If any of you need anything. I'm more than happy to provide my assistance. I know many of you aren't even from this planet. And some even view the humans as inferior. But these last few months have changed so much. I hope one day we can enter the galactic stage as your equals. That day might be coming sooner than you think. Until then however. As is tradition with human weddings. Cake!" He said and passed Naja the knife. "Would you do the honor's?" He asked as she began to cut the massive cake.

Otis

Otis flew throughout the sky smacking groups of parademons again and again. He actually bought the Kree some breathing room and time for them to regroup. Once they did, they also began to shoot down the stray demons that he missed. "Jesus... These things are everywhere." He muttered to himself. Suddenly the parademons all began to retreat. He landed in front of the Kree. "Yeah! You better run! And don't come back!" Otis yelled shaking his hammer at them. "Is everyone okay?" He asked the remaining Kree.

"They're not retreating." The same sergeant that spoke to him earlier said. "They've been called back."

"A second wave? Alright. I'll get a storm cooked up so we can-" He was interrupted by a boom tube opening. Otis prepared to meet Darkseid, but instead was met with Kalibak. "Alright buddy. I'm only gonna say this once. Hit the road. I've got a magic hammer and I know how to use it! So let's not make this worse than it already is. Who're you anyways?"

"I am the son of Darkseid! Kalibak!"

"Oh. For a second there. I mistook you for a threat." This only served to enrage the large hairy man. Kalibak pulled out out Beta club and Otis held onto Mjolnir. Kalibak swung first and Otis blocked, but was taken back by how strong Kalibak actually was. He slid back. "Okay. So you're a tiny bit stronger than I thought. Trust me man. You don't wanna fight me. Cut your losses and leave. I don't want to hurt anyone."

"Hurt? By you?" Kalibak laughed. "Creature, I am going to wear your hide as a pelt."

"That is very rude for a guest to say." He said and took a mighty swing at Kalibak, who was ready for him. Mjolnir hit the Beta Club and Kalibak slid back. The two went on like this for close to ten minutes. Back and forth. The shockwaves giving some of the Kree soldiers nausea. Kalibak tricked Otis into thinking he was going to block, simply moved to the side of Otis' swing and smacked him in the face with his Beta club, knocking Otis back and nearly breaking his nose. Though it was bleeding quite badly. "Last... Chance... Also. That really fucking hurt..." He said and wiped the purple blood off of his face and stood back up.

"Do not patronize me. I have you beat! Why would I surrender to you?"

"Well... I was going easy on you. Here's the thing..." He said and tossed Mjolnir into the air a bit, jumping into the air after it and wrapping his tail around the handle of the hammer and landed on his feet. "I don't fight with my hands..."

Not too long after Etla was finished dealing with the invading Black Arms, she noticed Ralph approaching her from somewhere nearby, clearly feeling better than before, though still looking rather beat up. At the moment, she was attempting to clean her enemies' blood from her blade and her armor, with some parts of it laid out in front of her, the gaps in her outfit allowing one to see the traditional clothes of the Rainborn that she wore underneath the silver and red armor. Seeing the rat fellow walk right by and sit down in a nearby crate, she smiled, glad that he was awake, about to ask him how he felt when he spoke up first, saying something about 'Chaos Emeralds'. Evidently, she was not entirely sure of what all he was going on about, since she hadn't been there to see his struggle to get the shiny jewels, first from Catwoman and then from the black coyote thing, but even so, her naturally high curiosity was piqued near-instantly, and she found herself attentively listening to what the ratty Mobian had to say to her.

When Ralph's speech was over, Etla looked back to her task and quickly finished cleaning off her weapon and her armor, placing the formerly bloodstained parts back on their places and then picking up her sword, before finally looking towards the rat. She had never been very tall, so at the moment, she and the Mobian were more or less even, but Etla hardly noticed, and didn't really care. She simply nodded at him, a thrilled smile present on her face.

"To be honest I didn't catch half of what you said. But if there's battles to be had and bad guys to beat up, then you can count me in."

I could see that this, Rainborn did not understand what I had been saying. But she understood enough. "I can trace the location of the Chaos Emeralds. We couldchase after the Black Doom. However, rather then chase behind them, we could just go to the next emerald." Dusting myself off i hopped down from the crate and began to close my eyes as I mentally reached out for the nearest Chaos Emerald. Visions of a city flashed into my mind, but this city was brighter. Seemed more vibrant. The people possessed a optimism to them. Finally I saw a human man who carried a sense of superiority about him. He approached a large machine and placed a bright jade green emerald into a large machine. And with a flash a single word appeared upon a building.

Lexcorp.

"I know where the next emerald is." I announced clenching my fist. I then turned to my new ally. "I do not know what this human is capable of. But he seems to have discovered a way to channel the power of the Chaos Emeralds. Hopefully a battle wont be necessary." The full extent of my exhaustion became more and more obvious however. As my breathing became more of a rasp. The numerous internal wounds took their own toll. My attempt to ignore it resulted only in me collapsing onto a single knee. A small spurt of blood escaped my mouth, as my body tried to convince me to take time to recover. That was no option though.

I traced my eyes over Etla, remembering how she had energized me earlier. "Can you heal people?" I asked squinting. "Before we go anywhere, I need to be in condition for a battle. Black Doom,s forces may just reach the Emerald before we do." I explained as I observed her wondering if she could in fact heal me, either way, sitting this battle out...is no option.

Fearless

Doombringer floated in the darkness of space, enjoying the relaxation from a hard day of being Roy- I told you I hate that name Doombringer grumbled and thought in his head Do you really need to but in every time in even think that name, I mean come on, it’s a good name. Adara responded Im not going to let you put us above the rest of the lanterns in the universe, its not my way of life. Doombringer grumbled before deciding not to argue anymore.

Later a thought hit Doombringer as he was thinking about his past, his training with the yellow lanterns and his new life of bringing hope to people and trying to get rid of Adara. Naturally she couldn’t hear this because he was concentrating and either out of her own decision or just his pure will power she couldn’t hear him when he did that. Then he came up with the thought and mentally whispered to Adara Adara… if you are the blue entity, how are you in my head? Adara responded I have thought of this as well. My only explanation is that your ring, obtained in an alternate universe, is not a true yellow rings, but something different. It does not seem to be connected to the yellow power battery. But I am just theorizing.

Doombringer considered these words when suddenly something slammed into him out of no where. Crashing into a moon Bringer looked up and saw floating before him a Star Saphhire. And from the symbol that the Star’s symbol was emblazoned over, a kryptonian as well. Just what he needed.

Meanwhile above earth a flash of pink light streamed towards Asgard. Many of the lanterns in the area assumed it was just another ring. The Saphhires smiled to themselves, knowing it was so much more.

"Seriously man. Just pack up and leave. I'll even let you giving me a bloody nose slide." He said trying to talk Kalibak down. He didn't want to fight, but Kalibak was pretty strong and was going to kill him and everyone else unless he stopped him. Despite Otis' pleas, Kalibak charged straight at Otis. Who simply sighed and used his very long legs to his advantage and kicked Kalibak right beneath his ribcage, knocking the breath right out of him. "You're still mostly human in your appearance. I mean minus the hair. I just kicked you in your diaphragm. Catch your breath and leave man. I don't want to have to hurt you anymore. You've lost. Just leave. I won't stop you." He said as Kalibak finally started catching his breath. Otis gave him an annoyed look. "What are you going to accomplish other than getting your ass kicked?" He asked stepping closer to to him.

"Your death!" He shouted, taking another swing at Otis, only for Otis to sidestep him, spin, kick his right leg which brought Kalibak to one knee, but Otis kept going and with Mjolnir still in his tail, smacked Kalibak hard enough for the sound of Uru metal meeting New God skull to be heard for half a mile. Kalibak's head hit the floor right at Otis' feet. "Ughhhhhhh..." He mumbled.

"And you're sure you don't wanna leave?" Otis genuinely asked. "I'm not enjoying this. I just wanna go home and have a sandwich. Maybe three. I eat a lot. Are you still conscious or am I just talking to the ground?" He asked and poked Kalibak with his foot. Who grunted and tried to move, but was far too concussed to be able to move properly. "Okay, good. So what's your name again? I don't believe I caught it the first time." He asked and sat down a few feet away. About 30 seconds later Kalibak staggered to his feet to see Otis sitting across from him. With only a bruise on his face from the only time he got a good hit in.

"You imbecile! If I can't kill you myself..." He said and pushed a button on his motherbox. The Apokolipian warships in orbit began to charge their weapons. "Then I will flatten this planet! Fire!" Otis prepared for the worst, but it didn't come. There were several large explosions and the warships were shot out of the sky. "WHAT HAPPENED?!" He demanded as a few Kree floated down. "You will regret this! Darkseid will destroy all of you! And you will be at my mercy!"

"By the command of Emperor Xander. The Kree Empire is under his protection." The Kree in charge said. Kalibak looked at Otis, and then back at the Kree who effortlessly destroyed his warships. Between a rock and a hard place wouldn't be doing it justice. He opened a boom tube and tried to run back to Apokolips, but Otis snagged his motherbox and kept it as Kalibak went right back to the foot of Darkseid. The Kree looked and knew Otis. He was at the wedding. "You have the gratitude of the Kree and Praetorian Empire."

"Sweet. Does that mean I can get something to eat? Also! Souvenir!" He siad holding up Kalibak's Motherbox. They took Otis in and gave him some food to eat before he left to make his way home.

Apokolips

Kalibak fell right at the feet of his adoptive father. "And once again. You have been brought to your knees by an earthling." Darkseid muttered. "But, despite your failure against him, luck seems to have shined upon you. The Earthling has taken your Motherbox and is going straight home. When he returns. We invade."

Mad City Saga
Mad Gods Ascend

Assembled in the Central Cathedral of Mad City, nine powerful souls meet at a round table to discuss the future of this world and themselves, and how they must be intertwined to ensure survival of both. Taking command, Czar-Mir looked around at his gathered allies, all of whom sharply watched his every move and motion as he simply stood there for a moment, taking in the sight of a team in the making. "Most of you know who I am, for those who do not, I am Czar-Mir of Daxam, and most of you know why we are all gathered here. This world...Earth...Is home to many, and many more who desire it gone or enslaved. Together, we will help end such processes and plans, and extend our reach of stability out into the stars of the Milky Way."

"Our future does not rest on this humble rock in the vast oceans of space, but deep out there, in our home galaxy and many like it. This world has grown past the need for heroes, what this world and many worlds like it need are Gods. Active ones, ones willing to take up the title of divinity and fight for a cause worth believing in. Our cause is defense of those who cannot defend themselves, to speak for those left without voices, and act for those who cannot. What divides us from other teams with idealistic goals, you might ask?" Mir continued, his speech captivating his audience and drawing them in with his passionate words. "What separates us from them is our ability and desire to directly confront humans, aliens, gods, and governments alike should they not conform to our ideal of what is right."

"Do we decide what is right? No - we will simply enforce a common version of it. Utilitarianism, the greatest good for the greatest number of people, is the right that we shall enforce. Vaguely, it is that the that the best moral action is the one that maximizes utility, with utility being the least amount of harm to the well-being of sentient entities. With this in mind, blaring attacks can be made on our stances. For instance, we will ignore justice. What is just is not what is the best option for all, and justice itself conforms to the mob mentality that often demands it. We will punish actions committed and think of the consequences of letting said actions continue, and in such, formulate our response to a given threat."

"We are judge and jury, yet executioner when we must." Mir said, defining the guiding principle for the Mad Gods. "I did not choose the names Forgiving, Merciful, Easy-Going, and or any such word before our name, no, we are Mad, and our powers let us fight like Gods. Fear does not shape us, it is our ally, because good and just men have nothing to fear from Mad Gods." Mir said passionately, "To end this worlds' evil, we must combat it fiercely and without pause, and then carry our message abroad, enter the Milky Way with such vigor and sureness that could only come from divinity. For now, though, I welcome you all to my adobe, and our headquarters, from where we will make the Mad Gods a reality." Head nods and clapping from the other eight members were abound, with Mir taking his seat and resting after his brief introduction of their team and their goals. "Perhaps we should further introduce ourselves, no? Let's start from myself and work our way around the table."

Mir cleared his throat somewhat, and while sitting, gave a small backstory for himself. "My life began on the planet Daxam, but whatever occurred there is meaningless because I was reborn elsewhere, on a planet called Madworld. Prior to my arrival on that world, I was so consumed with hatred and injustice that I was the one that piloted a devastating machine known as Warworld, and attacked Madworld. In my assault, though, I met two men who would forever change my life, the first one was Otto Godblessed - An Asgardian who I still to this day consider my brother in all ways but physical, and the second, a man named Maxwell Morningstar."

"Maxwell was a human, from Earth, but he had abilities that would make cosmic deities quiver at his name. One of the sharpest minds present on a man, and the power to absorb all forms of energy to an infinite degree, he was no push over, and had no reason to ever show restraint or mercy. Yet, he did, and he showed both of those to me. I was under the control of Warworld and a Sinestro Corps Ring at the time, and Maxwell broke the spell of both by killing me, and bringing me back in the same motion. He freed me from the hell I lived in before, and showed me that even lost causes are worth fighting for. He showed mercy in the face of justice, and so his title is where I got the name for our group, because he was known throughout the universe as the Mad God. We fought at eachother's side through thick and thin, but he and Otto perished in a climatic war for the fate of our reality. I will ensure that their spirit's live on, and forming this team was a way for me to show thanks, and to move on."

As Mir finished, he looked toward the man sitting on his right, the half-Strontian youngster who went by the name Van Zant, who seemed rather nervous and a bit envious having to follow up such an introduction by Mir. "Ah, eh, well, my name is Van Zant, I'm from Jump City, California, and there isn't much to me in particular. My father was an alien and my mother was human, but there doesn't seem to be too much wrong with me besides my powers. I have supernatural strength, speed, durability, stamina, all of that junk, plus some heat beams from my eyes. The level at which these powers present themselves is tied to my level of confidence in myself, and I don't particularly know of any limit." Van looked around, more relaxed now, comfortable with telling these people more about himself, knowing that they would return the favor.

Seated next to Van was Andreas, who seemed rather disinterested with all that had been said thus far. He looked lazily around as everyone eyed him, nodding with surprise as he realized it was his turn to speak. "Right then, all you kiddies need to know is that I'm Andreas, an Eternal that's wandered the Earth for a few hundred years and in that time, managed to become one of the strongest of his kind. Eternals can normally roll with Kryptonians and those with that strength level, but I'm above even that. I can handle and hang with Olympian Gods like Hercules, I've done it before. I'm faster and stronger than any in my race, and probably all of you as well. No offense." He said sourly, bragging about his own prowess, which impressed no one in particular.

A petite Kryptonian girl nodded her head side to side as the attention turned entirely to her, the ditzy girl not noticing until Andreas nudged her, breaking her concentration, and turning her eyes into a sinister red, taking aim at the Eternal that disturbed her little dance. Andreas stared back with normal eyes, daring the Kryptonian to make good on her threat, "Don't touch me." Bree said, blinking away her laser vision, and cheerfully addressing the crowd. "Hi! I'm Bree Jok-Bal, you can just call me Bree. I'm a Kryptonian from House Bal of Kandor, and my family has produced strong warriors for the Law Council for generations! I'm not too used to being outside of Kandor, so, I'm sorry if I come off as weird or rude, or something. I kinda got a temper, too, but that's okay! I'm happy and want to have fun most of the time." She said with a sweet smile, childlike and bubbly despite holding enough power to crack tectonic plates. Seated to her right was the chiseled, muscle wall himself, Victor Vaughn.

"I am Victor Vaughn, and I used to work for SHIELD, but I just recently quit when I got the call to join the Mad Gods. I have a telekinetic power, the origin of which is unknown, but it allows me to form a microscopic field just above my skin and extend that field to anything I touch. Tactile telekinesis, sounds pointless that you have telekinesis but only if you're touching something, until you realize that my field is incredibly powerful and based on my mind alone. With it, I can mimic super strength and speed easily, even fly and lift anything so long as I'm touching it. If I concentrate enough, I can feel disturbances in the air and ground. But, I'm just a man from the Northeast, and I want to try my luck at being a real hero for once." Victor said quickly, preferring to get right to the point with his powers and leave his backstory at the door.

Victor gave a look to the girl next to him, a calm and serene-looking brunette, who casually held a pair of angel wings slightly open on her shoulder blades so that she could sit comfortably. With it being her turn to go, she went, "I am Johanna Jacobs, and I will speak for both myself and my companion, Kat Castro. For me, I am a member of Physical Angels, a race of heavenly beings imbued with powers in excess of mankind, supernatural levels if you will. I was meant to serve a higher power and learn from humanity, but I was cursed to live here on Earth after interfering one too many times in your affairs. Not that I feel cursed, though, because I want to do what is right after all, and part of that was looking after Kat. She came to this world after spending much of her life on Apokolips, born a slave there, with incredible powers over fire and flames. I mistook her for a demon, but realized she was simply a lost soul." Looking at each other, Kat nodded, accepting Johanna to keep going. "She may be abrasive at first, but desires community and your affections deep down. She's still healing from her upbringing, so, cut her some slack, I suppose."

"Ahem," The last man in the rotation began, "Since Johanna introduced Kat, I suppose it's my turn." Looking around, the man was a bit smaller built than his comrades, yet still had muscle definition, his defining trait was the neat white hair on his head. "I've gone by many names over the years to hide my identity, but my real name is Alan Gabriel, and I've had to watch my back all of my life. You see, I'm a mutant, already hated around the world, but I'm also a wizard. Combining the two and you have the perfect weapon every two-bit 'evil' organization wants in their roster, yet, I just want to be me. Magically, I'm not impressive with known spells, so I create my own from scratch in my head instantly. I avoided teachers because I had a few that just wanted to use me. As a mutant, I have supernatural conditioning and regenerative healing. You're all the first people I've ever opened up to about this, so, don't let me down. I'm putting my faith and trust in you all, and I'm willing to give this Mad God team a chance."

The last one needed to be introduced was the mysterious, yet highly attractive woman at Mir's side, seated patiently, watching and listening to all other candidates introduce themselves and speak a little bit about their powers, ability, and backstory. Mir looked over at her as well, a kind smile on his face, putting Ashyandra at the center of attention once more, "We will move on to schedules and training exercises after you tell us about yourself, Ashy." He said warmly, relaxing himself, waiting for the Vokornian to begin her tale.

By the time Otis got home, he was hungry again. He put Mjolnir and the Motherbox on the coffee table and went to make a sandwich. He sighed and turned on the TV. A day like his? He wanted to rest. All over the universe in 12 hours. Saving an alien planet from an invasion. Kicking the crap out of the son of a god. Doesn't get any stranger than that. It wasn't that he didn't like his adventures. He just wished that they ended on a better time table so he could take a load off. The thought of locking himself in his apartment until he ran out of food crossed his mind. No one to bother him. No planets to save. Just him and a Netflix marathon. He mad his sandwich that contained everything from turkey to pork, covered it in jalapenos, ketchup, and mustard and was about to take a bite out of it when his mother box began making very loud *Pinging* noises.

"What now? Come on. Can't I go five minutes without something making noise. And then there was a *boom*. Many many *Booms* followed after. Boom Tubes opened all over the city and out flew hundreds of thousands of Parademons. Otis grabbed Mjolnir as soon as he could. One opened in his apartment and ruined his sandwich. Out stepped the God of Apokolips himself: Darkseid. He looked at the blue creature gripping the hammer quite amused. "You're the one who defeated my son. It makes me question how he's related to me. Nevertheless Earthling. If you want a war with Apokolips. All you have to do is ask." Darkseid said and with a cruel smile blasted the Omega Beams right at Otis. The explosion blew up most of the apartment complex and sent Otis well into the streets of New York.

"More Gods and Monsters bullshit. I can't go five minutes alone can't I?" He said and stood up. The pain from the Omega beams now just hitting him. "Ouch... That hurt... That really hurt." He muttered and looked at the burns on his chest. "Alright... Darkseid. You want me? COME AND GET ME!" He shouted and took to the sky, Mjolnir in hand. Darkseid was floating above the city and looked to see the head of Mjolnir hitting him in the face. Again, again, again and again. "Attack me while I'm at HOME?! Seriously?! You couldn't even wait until I was done with my SANDWICH?! I've had ENOUGH! I want some Peace and QUIET!" And with that, he put all of his strength into one final blow on Darkseid that brought down lightning from the sky. He looked in horror as Darkseid grabbed him by his chest and lifted him off the ground.

"It's almost a shame to kill you." He said quite calmly as some smoke came off his face. "It really is. You have much hate buried in there. And yet you wear that blue ring..." Darkseid commented, noticing Otis' blue ring. Slipping it off of his finger he looked at it for a moment. "The blue light of hope. That's what I'm going to take from your world first." He said slamming Otis on the ground and began to stomp on him. "This, like all insects." He said and slammed his foot on Otis once more. Keeping it their and started to crush him. "Is where you belong. Under my heel." He lifted his foot off of the little man to see him barely conscious and bleeding badly. "A pity. After what you did to Kalibak, I was expecting something more."

At the Wedding

Suddenly, Manifest's wrist started beeping. Blinking for a moment, he was confused before he recalled that was the emergency contact line in the Peak. Scowling, he tapped on it, ducking away from the main party to be a little quieter. "What is it, Brand?"
"I've got an Apokolips invasion force."
"Shit. Who's heading this one?"
"Darkseid. I'm calling in the League. You're in Praetoria, right? See if Xander is willing to send a few of his-."
"Oh, for... I don't care if a god damn undead Odin is attacking Pennsylvania, I'm not taking that man away from his wedding day. I'll talk to Fury and get the active Avengers sent in."
He began walking purposefully, if a bit discreetly so as to not distract from the party, towards the exit.

Darkseid turned and left the barely alive creature there, only for him to stagger to his feet and chuck Mjolnir at the back of his head. It was enough to make the Dark God flinch, but little else. Darkseid turned to face Otis. "And yet, there's still some fight left in you. Good. You will die scream-" He said and Mjolnir hit him in the back of the head once more, and flew right back to Otis. Who then blasted Darkseid with as much lightning as he could muster. "I'm... I'm not dead yet..." Darkseid walked through the lightning as if it weren't even there. Darkseid grabbed Otis' arm that held Mjolnir and bashed him over the head with his own hammer. This caused Otis to drop it and fall down again. "Eat... A... Diiiiiiccccckkkk." He still manged to mumble despite having many of the bones in his body broken.

"Defiant to the end. One of the qualities I admire about your species. You will die filled ensuring your enemy knows that you do not care if he kills you." He said and grabbed the Inhuman. "Tell me boy. What did you hope to accomplish by throwing that hammer at me? Did you expect it to defeat me? I've bested Thor many times. You? You're nothing compared to him. What makes you think you could stand up to me."

"I... Wasn't... Trying... To..." He spat up blood. "Beat... I... Was... Trying... Stall." Otis stammered as Darkseid was subsequently hammered by none other than Superman. "For them..." He fell but was caught by the Flash who laid him down. "I'll... Live. Go. Darkseid." He waved his hand and the blue ring Darkseid took off his finger came back and slipped onto Otis' finger once again. Healing his wounds. "Son of a bitch..." He muttered and called Mjolnir to him. "Thanks Flash. Time for Operation: Kick Darkseid's ass!"

"That's easier said than done." Flash replied, but it didn't stop Otis. He was already in the air. Darkseid was busy holding Superman down with one hand and Wonder Woman with the other. Otis flew right in and hit Darkseid on the side of the head.

"Hey! Didja miss me?" He asked and struck the Dark God once again. "See. The thing is, I have friends. You? You've got minions, sure. But I've got people who'll help me every step of the way. And I'm gonna give you the WORST case of tinnitus EVER!" Darkseid didn't skip a beat. He Fired the Omega Beams once more and had them make two perfect angles to strike Otis and have him drop like a fly. "Uuuuhhhh..." He mumbled. Darkseid used Superman's body to clobber Wonder Woman, leaving them both unconscious. Flash got both of them out of there and Darkseid turned his attention to Otis. "Best... 3 out of 5?"

"Now. You are beginning to annoy me. You were once mildly amusing. Now you are a pest." Otis raise Mjolnir to throw it at Darkseid's head, but Darkseid blasted Otis' arm with the Omega Beams, leaving it completely numb and limp. Otis raised his other hand that had the ring on it. Which Darkseid pulled off once again. "This ring?" He smirked and crushed it with his fingers. "I've taken more worlds than days you've been alive boy. This one is no different." He was about to vaporize Otis once and for all, when he was hit on the head once again, but this time it was by a bright red construct. Otis looked and couldn't believe his eyes.

It was his mother. "GET AWAY FROM MY SON!"

The Republic of Atria wrote:Xander and Naja watched the amazing cascade of fireworks from both Manifest and Kylie.

After Xander had made his whole speech, Kylie crept up behind him and whispered into his ear. "After this is over, there is something I wanted your help with." After that quick interjection, she slunk away into the crowd to watch the cake be cut. As soon as it was, Kylie was at the front of the line to eat the sweet delicious treat, one that she couldn't get anytime she wanted. Cupcakes, maybe; and The Hearth had doughnuts, but cake is cake. Nothing else comes close.

"The League is on site. We have another Parademon incursion at the Baxter Building and a third at STAAR labs, probably to keep us distracted. Manifest, take STAAR labs. You have the Avengers?"
Manifest blasted through the air in his midnight armour, redirecting towards STAAR labs. "Fury, you heard her. Toss Stark and his pretty boys at the Baxter Building."
"I liked you better without the snark." Fury's voice came through the communicator, amused.
"So you put me with Brand? Not the smartest move, boss. Aren't you supposed to be some sort of super-spy?" Manifest chuckled. "Ah, hold the banter folks, looks like I'm on site. Deadly force?"
"You're level 10 now, Manifest." Brand reminded him. "You don't need anyone's permission but your own."
"Oh yeah." He smirked, unsheathing Infinite with his left hand and summoning Laughter floating above him.

"Let's play."

The Parademons around the building turned towards Manifest just in time for him to dive into the swarm.

He swung the Infinite, severing the upper body of the Parademon in front of him. At the same time, Laughter impaled one that attempted to come up behind him. Within the body of this parademon, thousands of barbs extended from inside the spear, obliterating the creature's body from the inside out. Almost instantly, Manifest swung around, decapitating another demon and sending Laughter swinging around him, impaling demon after demon as he slaughtered them indiscriminately with the Infinite.

The whole while, he was laughing like a madman.

Ashy hesitated, and then nodded. She was somewhat impressed with what she had heard so far, but she’d need to see everyone in action before she made any further judgements. “My name is Ashyandra.” She spoke, then paused. “And before I go on with my introduction, I have someone else I need to introduce.” She paused as a figure suddenly appeared on the table, legs crossed as she sat. A little girl, with white hair an very striking purple eyes. She was silent, seemingly unwilling to speak to anyone who wasn’t Ashy. She had an neutral, passive look on her face. Almost soulless.“This is Rua. She’s part of a species called the “Old Ones.” Each has a domain based on aspects of the sentient mind. Dreams, Colours and even the dark side of our being. Rua, here, is the old one of Logic and Reason.”

“You see, my species, the Vokornians fought a war against hers, or at least members of her race. We used to worship them, and then we changed our minds. Shortly after we went through another series of destructive wars which stripped us of our bodies and left us… hollow. However, someone helped me get my body back, and one of the people I met along the way was Mir.” She explained. “Anyway, though I had thought we had destroyed the old ones, I found out that wasn’t true. A little more digging and I discovered Rua, who stripped me of my powers, and then gave me new ones.”

“I can now tap into the power primordial, the original source of magic based on the exercising of will upon reality. I can also access Rua’s special powers, and donate them at will. Allowing me to counter almost any spell (Some take more time though).”

“I’m still getting used to that power, and I may be able to develop it as I meet Rua’s sisters and brothers. Besides that I’m a rather skilled telepath and I have supernatural condition born from the Power Primordial.”

She then paused, awkwardly smiling. She then nudged Rua. “Come on, say something.” She muttered.

“Why? I have nothing to say.” Replied the little girl. “This is still an illogical waste of time. We should be looking for the snake. Uniting your people.”

“Don’t be rude Rua. Say something to them. Something nice.” She muttered.

Rua sighed. Then observed each of the people in turn. “You all seem… diverse….” She commented. Then she returned to silence.

Lord Satera/The Highfather of Mortis

Was there any other place that Super villains would target beside New York City?! Satera thought of this as a recurring joke that would not wear off anytime soon, after leaving Asgard and emerging onto a nearby building where Darkseid and Otis were fighting, Satera watched the two of them fight, a God of Apokolips fighting a Superhero who had the Blue Lantern Ring, possibly one of the most rarest of all Lantern Rings, to Satera, this would be an interesting fight, but the question that many would ask, would Satera get involved in the fight and help make sure that Darkseid stayed down? This was a question that Satera was even uncertain about, he was genuinely conflicted on this very question, General Eiling ordered a Controlled Alex to destroy everything that Kazuko and Asumar loved, which happened to be Sigma Galli Prime, their home world as well as the Seed of Life in the Masaki Galaxy, he did not hate the Human Race, but his trust for them was lost after the Destruction of Sigma Galli Prime "It looks like my fusee's need to converse in order to find an answer on what to do..." Satera pondered, closing his eyes and entering a Death-like state.

Within the Subconscious of Satera, everything was what could only be described as a literal void, nothing was present within his subconscious, no corruption, no darkened thoughts, there was nothing beside the two meditation figures that were both Spera and Alastir, the two Immortal's that fused into the being that was now known as Satera, the conflict of thoughts became so much for Satera that his consciousness had to de-fuse and allow the two Immortal God's to discuss about what needed to be done "You already know my stance on this Spera, I cannot not, nor will assist Otis in defeating Darkseid."

This was where Spera interrupted "I know that you do not desire to help the humans due to the destruction of Sigma Galli Prime, but you do know that we now have the power to reconstruct the planet at any time, so it would be absurd to hold your grudge at this point, with the power of the Primordials backing our fusion, there is nothing that can stop us when we are back in our sovereignty, the Galaxy is under our complete command Alastir." Spera reasoned with his counterpart, knowing that now, they were going to be stuck with each other due to the permanent fusion established between the two.

Alastir stared at Spera, his red eyes twinkling in the darkened void of Satera's mind "You misunderstand me Spera, I am no longer emotionally conflicted, my mind, body, and soul are now in a perfect balance with each other..." Alastir's body began to glow with a reddish hue "But you know that I am not as benevolent as you are Spera, the destruction of Sigma Galli Prime was not only a former intolerable offense, but that was the very last barrier that held the Dark Gods back, and when they destroyed the Seed of Life, it allowed the dark and hellish influence of death and decay to spread unchecked, the both of us were unable to stop it, as we did not have enough power to restore it to it's former state. For the sake of the One-Above-All, it took the power of our Species Predecessors to restore it, the Humans were indirectly responsible for the release of the Dark Gods, the very entities that nearly extinguished all light in our Galaxy."

Spera's could only nod, he knew about Sigma being the Seed of Life for their Galaxy and how it was important in encouraging the balance that they now reestablished "You know how much suffering that struggle gave us, it took the combined might of our fusion in order to defeat the Dark Gods, and even if Asumar used the Sentry Serum to help bolster his durability against them, it still wouldn't have changed the result of the outcome, if we truly died during that battle above UDF-1 and had no way to fuse together, our Galaxy would have been lost for an eternity..." This time, Alastir's red eyes exploded with fire, his tranquil rage being known "I want to see the people of Earth suffer as our Galaxy, for them to experience the same loss and suffering as our sovereign territory had to face during that darkened time, only then, when they realize the same suffering that we had to experience with the Dark Gods, then we can help them in their darkest hour, yes, they have taken an eye, but we too shall take their eye and make their whole world blind, until they know what it is like."

Spera let out a sigh, everything that Alastir said was absolutely right, there had been much strife and suffering during the emergence of the Dark Gods, and that was beyond any pain that the two of them felt when Sigma Galli Prime was destroyed, and that Humanity had a debt to repay, until the world had faced the same sufficient suffering as the Masaki Galaxy did, only then, would Satera be allowed to help "Very well Alastir..." Spera stated, his body slowly fading away along with Alastir's, their consciousness's beginning to merge into one yet again "I shall go along with your reasoning, but I will assure you that if my son's are threatened by the same force that attacks Earth, we will fight, not for the people of Earth, but for our sons." And just like that, the meeting and consensus of the two fused Immortal Gods had ended, a new decision being made for Satera...

To not assist the Earthlings in any type of situation until they realize the same pain that the Masaki Galaxy had been forced to suffer...

Otis watched as his mother fought Darkseid with all of her might. Constructs, laser blasts from the ring, even the plasma attack. Of course it amounted to nothing. Darkseid grabbed her arm and the snap that followed was quite cringe inducing. "Hmm." Darkseid mused while dropping the woman. "The amount of humans that wield these rings is quite impressive." Otis staggered to his feet still holding Mjolnir. "And yet, you persist. I've beaten you in every little scuffle we've had. What do you hope to accomplish?" Otis threw Mjolnir with every ounce of strength that he had. The hammer flew at close to lightspeed and smacked right into Darkseid's chest. Which sent the god sliding across the ground. The hammer flew right back to Otis who was standing right in front of him.

"You're angry at me. Leave them out of this!" Otis said still ready to fight. "Sure... I might not be as big, or as strong. But I'm not going to just let you walk all over my planet! This is my home! And I'll fight to protect everyone on it!"

"Is that so?" Darkseid asked with an insidious grin. Once again, firing his signature Omega Beams right at Otis, who braced for impact. However, the beams didn't hit Otis, instead, they made two sharp turns and struck the woman, completely obliterating her. Otis watched in horror as his mother was erased from existence. Nothing remaining but a small scorch on the ground. And her ring, which shot into the sky to find a new host. Otis dropped to his knees. His mother had finally turned around just in time for Darkseid to kill her. "Do not worry too much boy." He said and grabbed the sobbing Inhuman. "You will be joining her short-"

Otis screamed at the top of his lungs. "YOU!" He struck Darkseid with Mjolnir with sufficient force that he actually began to tear his muscles. "KILLED!" Striking Darkseid yet again, causing him to stagger ever so slgihtly. "MY!" Otis swung at Darkseid's bent leg in the hopes of breaking it. It didn't, but it forced Darkseid lower. "MOTHER!" Otis shouted, his arms bleeding as he swung Mjolnir one final time in an uppercut fashion. Hitting Darkseid in the chin. The force of the blow was enough to send Darkseid down the city block. The shockwave released cracked the windows for five blocks. Otis dropped to his knees, bleeding, crying, and fuming.

At the Wedding
Cora clapped and cheered as Naja and Alex kissed at the end of the ceremony, watching as Kylie light up the sky with fireworks. She was standing by the bride and groom with her teammates, who were serving as Naja's bridesmaids. Cora was very excited to be attending a wedding with her best friends. This was the first wedding she had ever attended, and she was enjoying it a lot. She stood next to Katie, holding her girlfriend's hand as the ceremony took place. She still couldn't believe how lucky she was to have a group of friends that she could fight crime with, and a girlfriend who cared about her as much as Katie did.

Roy's military training kicked in when the loud noises from the light based fireworks that Kylie set off behind the couple. His hand instinctively went to his staff, before he calmed down and realized there wasn't a problem. He was there to celebrate with his friends in the JQ, since they were basically his family now. He liked the Justice Queens a lot, and enjoyed staying at their tower. He watched as most of his friends stood up at the front of the ceremony, and Naja and Alex kissed as they were pronounced husband and wife. He clapped for them, in Roy's own calm way. He then realized he was hungry and before saying hello to his friends, he decided to get on line for the food, which looked quite good to him.

Nico
Nicole went to his room for a little while and finished up his homework. He then got a text from his father that said that he and Nico's mother would be late that night, and that Nico and Cat would have to get dinner on their own. Nico sighed, wondering what nefarious things his parents were up to. It was almost impossible for him to be comfortable around them, now that he knew the truth about who they actually were.

Nico stepped out of his room and headed back toward his sister's room where he had been a few hours ago. He had a feeling she wouldn't be too excited to hear from him. It was hard for Nico, he didn't understand why his sister wouldn't just talk to him about what was wrong.

Nico knocked on her door again and spoke to Cat through it, "Hey Cat, mom and dad aren't coming home for dinner. So we'll have to eat by ourselves. You want to got out somewhere? You can pick the restaurant you want." He said to her, hoping she'd agree to come out with him, but doubted she'd be too enthusiastic about it.

Disney World
Sam noticed that Sarah wasn't picking up her phone, so she decided to try to find her using the mental lino that they shared. She felt Sarah's presence and followed it towards the large train satin that Sarah and John had departed from. She saw the train was beginning to pull back into the station, so she waited for it to arrive, knowing that Sarah was on the train.

John was holding Sarah close as she slept peacefully. He watched the scenery outside with quite admiration as the train slowly pulled into the station. John was a little hesitant to wake Sarah, as she seemed so comfortable and peaceful, but he knew that he had to. He gently nudged Sarah to wake her, speaking softly. "Hey, the ride's over." He said to her softly, still holding her close as they sat together.

Meanwhile Roy was walking around the park with Hannah and having a good time. However while they were near one of the carnival like game stations. Roy saw a few strange looking guys in red hoodies standing around suspiciously. Roy had a weird feeling about it, and his military training told him that something was up. He took a step closer to Hannah and looked over his shoulder to her, "Hey, do you see those guys over there?" He whispered to her, "The guys in the red hoodies." He clarified, not taking the risk of gesturing toward them. "Something seems off about them."

It didn't take long for Darkseid to shrug off Otis' assault. He found the boy weeping over the death of his mother. "Would you look at that? All it took was one human's death to bring you down to your knees." Otis didn't bother turning around to face him, he just kept looking over his mother. Apologizing that he didn't try harder. That he didn't save her. Otis knew he couldn't beat Darkseid. He just sat there waiting for death to come, but Darkseid had other plans. He wanted the death to sting even more. Grabbing the boy and forcing Otis to look at him. "Had I known one human's death would have pained you so, I would have killed more." He dropped the boy and towered over him. "And kill more I shall! Carry that agony with you to oblivion, boy." Just as Darkseid was about to finish Otis off once again. Flash interfered and slammed into Darkseid going just under the speed of light.

Otis tried to watch, but even his improved reflexes couldn't keep up with how fast Barry was moving. Striking Darkseid from every conceivable angle, and pushing him back away from the boy. Otis grabbed Mjolnir. He was still alive. He could still fight. Even if his arms were bleeding and it felt like Superman was pushing him to the ground. He wasn't going to stop until he was dead. Flash didn't last much longer. One well placed shockwave seemingly knocked him out of commission. "Now... Where were we..." He asked and his eyes lit up like molten lava. He fired the Omega beams at Otis intending to finish him off. Otis lifted Mjolnir and just hoped that it would be able to survive the blast somehow. At least until someone else arrived. But to his surprise, Mjolnir was still holding strong. He was sliding back from the force of the beams, but that was pure adrenaline keeping him there.

"How does it feel boy? These last few moments of yours are going to be filled with pain and misery. I will ensure they are. You have nothing left. No family. No more of your heroes to protect you." He said as Otis slid back farther, with Mjolnir beginning to glow bright red. "You will not survive this encounter. That much is for certain. I will admit." He said walking closer to Otis who was gritting his teeth to hold of the beams for as long as he could. "You are persistent. You would have made an excellent role model for Kalibak." Darkseid had been blasting Mjolnir for the better part of a minute before Superman managed to wake back up to see Darkseid blasting Otis. He flew and slammed into Darkseid, knocking him off balance. Darkseid backhanded the Kryptonian and slammed him into the ground. "Kryptonian, I've killed countless of your kind. Youa re no different."

"Wrong asshole." Otis spat. "He's got backup." And with that, summon as much of the energy in Mjolnir as was possible, combined with the absorbed energy of Darkseid's Omega Beams, was something quite powerful. A Godblast infused with Darkseid's own power, amplified dozens of times over. "My name is OTIS! Or Bolt, of the Inhuman Royal Guard. NOW GET THE FUCK OFF MY PLANET!" He said and fired a bright red beam the size of the head of Mjolnir. Darkseid went wide eyed at the massively powerful attack. It was too late to dodge, the beam smashed straight through where his heart was. His scream echoed throughout the entire universe as he fell to the ground.

Darkseid. Was. Dead.
