Kirisvala smiled again, wider than the previous time, when Xyri seemed to accept her apology. She was quite happy with this, believing that they could be friends even after having fought each other, and she couldn't help feeling identified with the other girl, seeing how she was also pretty confused about how stuff worked here on Earth, or more specifically, Jump City. Of course, the reasons for this were very different from her own, and whereas Xyri just seemed confused, Kiris had an attitude of sheer fascination at most things she saw, but even then, she felt that they had some common ground. "I'm glad you're not angry. That means we can be friends, right?" She asked with a warm smile.

However, at the green girl's next comment, the young Hadrian looked up and saw the orange discs that were flying down to surround them. "They're pretty..." She mumbled softly as she saw them descend and begin to glow with blue energy, oblivious to the fact that these were deadly weapons from another alien race. However, the message broadcast by these drones was clear enough for even her to understand, and she wasn't keen on being annihilated, or allowing her newfound friends to be annihilated, for that matter. Now, logic would dictate that she would thus surrender, as she didn't really think much of it anyway, since they were basically asking her not to fight as far as she was concerned, but then Mars turned to her, essentially asking her to help fend off the aliens before flying off and engaging them in combat. That took her a little by surprise, but she didn't want to see her friends annihilated and so, seeing Rikki start fighting the discs too, she quickly decided to do the same.

"Alright, I'll help! I'll show the mean drones what Wynn magic can do!" She proclaimed.

It was an unfortunate thing that she couldn't fly (she had once heard a few tales of special Hadrians who had the gift of wings, which was what prompted her fascination regarding flying people, but so far she was pretty certain that she wasn't one of them, and with good reason), as it prevented her from reaching the drones as easily as the others, but it wasn't quite a decisive handicap, as even though she could not fight hand-to-hand against the drones, she had several more tricks up her sleeve, figuratively speaking of course since her massive claws prevented her from being able to wear sleeves.

Clasping her claws together in front of herself, Kirisvala closed her eyes and recalled one of the many spellsongs she had learned during her training with the rest of the offspring of the Wynn clan of the mountains. Though she had always had a special affinity for the potent magic developed by the Wynn clan, she had never really taken their goals and ambitions seriously, but even then she had learned much, and now was the time to demonstrate it. Focusing, she began singing softly in an ancient alien tongue, unintelligible to any of the heroes present, more akin to a lyrical manifestation of the soul than a simple composition of the mortal mind. The singing voice of a Hadrian was often renowned for being among the most beautiful things in the universe, likely a testament to their creator's more artistic side, and Kirisvala's voice was no exception. Thus, when she began singing, it was a sound that subtly demanded the attention of those present, even if it was not a conscious effort on Kirisvala's part, but rather a natural effect.

What was a conscious effort from Kiris was the weaving of the very specific spellsong that she was now singing. She had no knowledge of these creatures that they were up against, but the Hymn of Ruin, one of the few offensive spellsongs she had learned, felt like a good choice to her. Soon after she had begun singing, the air around her rippled, and suddenly, an aura of white fire manifested around her, like a bright, warm cocoon that allowed others to see inside, but prevented anyone from entering. The spell in fact had many uses, but for now, the young Hadrian decided to settle for one of the more basic ones, and simply sent several bolts of holy flames out towards the drones attacking her friends, all while singing her song. Though several of her white fire missiles missed their targets, several more did hit their marks, the holy flame destroying the drones with little effort.

As she listened to the man, John, introduce himself, Sarah easily noticed that he seemed to be making a great effort to resist the influence that her supernatural beauty tended to exert over most men and most women that were not her sisters. He was doing an amazing job at it, as he didn't show any sign of being affected like so many others had been throughout the years, but, even though she knew that there were a select few with special abilities and traits that protected them from such influences, she sincerely doubted that John was one of them. Those people often had a very specific way of acting, like the wizard she loathed so much, who happened to be a perfect example. John on the other hand seemed normal for the most part, which led Sarah to believe that he was making a conscious effort. Now, being the playful woman that she was, she made it her goal to overcome his mental defences.

"Oh? Well, if my sisters have no objections, then I certainly wouldn't mind the company of such a handsome man." She winked at John, before turning towards the waiter and ordering her desserts, along with her little sister Hanah's order. Samantha hadn't told her anything, so she likely wanted to order for herself.

Hadrimmelis sighed as she heard Tarasekannú's questions, leaning back on her own throne. They were difficult questions for her to answer, for several reasons, and so, she stayed silent for several moments before finally responding to her younger brother.

"I went to you, Taras, because I had found myself in a moment of weakness. The others may have been involved in the first Time Demon War just like I had been, but they were not the ones charged with developing a weapon to defeat the Time Demon once and for all, they were not the ones who had to take a child and turn him into a cosmic weapon. They did not have the same burden that I did." She explained, somewhat frowning at the mention of the other dragons. Though she couldn't blame them, and did not think any less of them for it, she still couldn't help remembering that, when she had found a possible solution, all of them had insisted that she was to be the one to develop it by herself. They had left her that burden.

"I was expecting... I was hoping that you wouldn't listen, to be honest. You're not the most attentive, Taras, if I may make that observation, and you seemed rather busy when I went to speak with you. But you did listen, and for that, I am very glad and grateful." She said, for a moment smiling slightly.

"As for why the others did not come to help..." She continued, her smile fading quickly. "I cannot say for certain, and guessing will only worsen our ignorance. You two are, indeed, the only ones to whom I talked about Addraku and the Time Demon before our battle took place, but I am certain that the distortion was felt by all of our siblings. I know for a fact that Kazayannú has very strong reasons for not venturing far from himself, but as for the others, I couldn't say. They might've been preparing to awaken in order to combat the threat, perhaps." She mused. "I cannot say, but what I can do is forgive them. After all, even with all of us there, it was unlikely that we would slay the demon; at most, we would weaken him enough to imprison him again, beginning a new cycle. But I have strong reasons to believe that what happened is a far better alternative." She stated.

"Do you have any other questions, brother and sister? By all means, speak to your hearts' content. After everything you both have done to help me, answering is the least I can do." She offered with another smile.

This woman....I could not believe her. I mean, who would want to fight Chorus? Well, to be fair, it seems as if Chorus wants to return the favor. I cannot blame her though, I mean...this lady in the hoodie is acting like such a....that 'B' word I am not allowed to say. Although Sabrina says it pretty often, just not within earshot of our parents. Following Chorus' lead, I was led out of the club along with the others and we exited some type of Portal and ended up in Gotham.

They mentioned we could not fight inside of Devil's Den, and so when we left, that strange hoodie girl led us all to a series of alley ways and eventually inside a large and empty storage building. She then turned to both me and Chorus.

"We can settle the score here if you like. No holds barred, just what any girl could want. So, what will it be? Will I be crushing your wind pipes or stepping on a little boys dreams first?" My face began to turn santa claus red with anger. I responded by turning to Chorus.

"I am your body guard, but...." I tried to explain the situation to her. "Mommy and daddy say I cannot hit a girl though." I for a instant, sounded disappointed, before I thrust a finger into her direction in a threatening manner as I yelled.

"But SHE does not count!" I growled as my eyes squinted off in her direction waiting for the fight or battle or whatever we call it to begin.

The Red haired girl smiled, slowly she slipped her hoodie back over her head and headphones over her ears under the cloth. She put up her hands in a boxers fighting stance. "That's right kid." She spoke. From her sleeves descended two drumsticks, seemingly ordinary and wooden. "Cause I'm not a "girl" like little miss MTV over there." She spoke. A smile on her face as she launched towards Chorus, who quickly brought up Verse to parry, only to find herself hurled back by some force. "I'm a one hundred and ten per cent..." She spoke, continuing her attack, almost skating on the ground as she unleashed forceful attacks which Chorus was finding a hard time resisting. "...genuine...." She spoke, unleashing a kick which caught Chorus off guard. Then lunged forward with a strike with her drumstick to Chorus' chest, which sent her flying back. "...pure, unadulterated badass." She sighed. Rolling her shoulders.

She looked over to the kid. "Now would be a good time to call for daddy. Or maybe mommy. Someone who might actually be a challenge." She spoke. Then looked over to Chorus. "Cause so far this pop sell out is pretty darn bor-"

Suddenly Chorus sprung forwards, burst forward by anger, and brought her blade down on Janice. She didn't even flinch.

The blade didn't and couldn't reach her, instead it simply stopped moving, as if it couldn't move any further. Janice smiled. "I thought as much." She spoke. "You ever heard of destructive wave interference? It's where two waves, when met together, nuetralize each other. My inner voices wavelengths completely matched those of your blade, rendering your blade useless. So you see, you can't even hu-"

Suddenly Chorus sent a punch to Janice's face. She grunted, then recovered. She stopped for a moment. 'Huh... Pop girl can punch..."

Garnet shook her head at the small fox creature as she watched it prepare to jump towards the other rooftop.

"I don't exactly have any money to pay you with for your services, but if you would assist me anyway, then any help is welcome." She stated, simply continuing to watch him afterwards, seeing him jump off of the rooftop and transform in mid-air.

When he landed in the other rooftop, she was already there. One of her bracelets, the one with the blue and orange gemstone, still had a faint glow that faded quickly.

"What took you guys so long?" She teased them, idly placing her mask on her face, in order to allow her to keep up with the others more easily.

Masami chuckled as she ran, they were a pretty cool looking team, all jumping rooftops and running together. It was quite exhilarating, and Masami wondered why she didn't do it during her time here before. She continued to follow her nose, leading them around. Of course she was going off smell, so it wasn't one hundred per cent perfect, but she was still leading them in the right direction. Akari had stuck close to her adopted sister. Masami stopped before they got to the place where the smell was strongest (A large multi floor skyscraper).

"<So... Are we going to explain...?>" Asked Akari

"<Explain what?>" Masami replied, her tails swishing excitedly, at the acticipation of the hunt.

"<Explain why a Kitsune calls a cat person kin to these two? You know? Our "Situation"?>"

"<Why? Does it really bear explanation?>"

Akari shrugged. "<They may be curious.>" She looked at the building. "That is quite the tower... I hope I don't wear these shoes out walking all those steps."

Masami rolled her eyes. "We'll take the elevator..."

South America
Jenny was on the run again from Cyberlantern. She had escaped to South America. She had found Deathstroke and Superman. Now her only person left was Loki. Slipping beneath the Amazon River, she hid, just in time to barely dodge a spear. She reappeared from the water, then picked up the floating spear. She looked in the direction that it came from, and no one was there.

"Clumsy job, Lantern," Jenny muttered, getting back onto the ground, "sending a native after me. I expected a little more."

She was immediately knocked to the ground by an aggressor. She fired her heat vision at him, and it didn't affect him one bit. He only got angrier and rougher. She tried her ice breath and that didn't work so well. His hair was covering his face, so she couldn't use a mind trick, and her hands were pinned to the ground. She tried kicking, but her attacker was too strong.

She demanded, "Who sent you after me?"

"No one. I heard that someone was looking for a girl of your description who had strange powers," her aggressor replied, showing himself. He was a tall, black-haired, muscular man wearing animal skins with a spear and a club at his back, "I don't trust him. I think you could be of some help to me, and in return, I will help you." He let her go, and said, "but if not, I will turn you in to the Metal Man."

Jenny slowly rose to her feet, "What do you want?"

"Come with me to the cave, and you'll find out, Jenny," he said, "follow me."

"What is your name?" she asked.

"Sawa, Rightful Chief of the Tribals," the stranger replied.

Latveria
His feet stepped lightly through the dark alleyways of Doomstadt, swiftly running through the shadows as a ghost in the night. Any who might have seen him by chance saw him only in a fleeting glance, gone a mere moment later. Eventually, the living weapon arrived at a small house, indiscriminate from the rest with the exception of a small chain hooked to the wall in a seemingly random location. He leapt to the window, opening it, and entered the house.

Closing the window behind him, he sighed and pressed a button on his belt. "This is Manifest. I have reached objective Beta and, as ordered, am now initiating radio silence."
"God be with you, Charles." His handler replied.
"Haven't you heard? It's 'Gods' now."

He sat down on the old couch in the middle of the room. "Manifest, Agent's log, part one, initiate recording." After a small beep, he continued. "I've reached a Latverian Underground safe house. Rudolfo Fortunov, the Crown Prince and rightful King, has generously loaned my parent organization usage of the safe house for assassination missions." He deliberately avoided using the term SHIELD, should he be killed. Slim likelihood, but nevertheless a possibility. "My target, Lucia Von Bardas, has been bankrolling several tech-based villains recently for unknown reasons. Since she's Latverian, negotiations are a no-go, not with Doom in power. With her position as the head Scientist of Doom's regime, she'll be well protected. I've opted to go for a ranged kill, with extraction at objective delta at 0700 hours in three days. Until then, I have radio silence to my parent organization's headquarters. No problem. I heard Widow once did radio silence for two weeks. I can handle three days."

Jake grinned, the predatory expression looking out of place on his young visage. "So does that mean I get to blow stuff up?" he asked, and without waiting for an answer his eyes lit up red, his heat vision scything through several of the ships. Then, crouching, he sprang up, his powerful muscles shooting him up, through one of the ships and onto another's top. From there, Jake unleashed a blast of kinetic energy onto the ships. But, losing his balance, Jake fell, crashing to the ground in the middle of a group of mechs, which he attacked with blasts of heat vision and kinetic energy.

The UN

"Then it's settled." The speaker said. "Due to the inane amount of damages and deaths caused by these so called 'Superheroes.' They will now be, required by law, to register with the government, undergo a training course, and go about their acts as superhumans under the watchful eye of the world's governments, or be detained until they comply. Any objections?" Of which only one person disagreed. "Sir, do you object to this?"

"No. It's just that someone has to say no." And with that. The measure was passed. All superhumans, regardless if human, mutant, or alien were required by law, to go to the nearest Military recruitment center, which now doubled as a registration station, and register with the government. Or face prison time and hefty fines. Of course this wouldn't be an overnight thing. There was a fair timetable in place. 4 months. More than enough time for any and all superhumans to register in order to continue their lives as Superheroes or normal civilians.

Alex and Naja

Naja kissed him while floating in the air above the city block he just repaired. "That... Could have gone worse. I mean it totally could have gone better too, but it certainly could have been worse."

"You're okay right? No more bleeding?"

"A little headache, but that's going away." She said and caught a glimpse of herself in a window reflection. "Egh." She was covered in dried blood, her costume was ripped to shreds and just barely covering her private areas. "Yeah... I need a shower." She said and right on cue, Alex warped them home. "Thank you." She said, noticing he was staring at her. "Oh don't look at me like that. You've seen me naked how many times?"

"A lot."

"I've still got... Some of my clothes on. I really should wear a second layer..." She said going into the bathroom and closed the door. Alex decided to sit down and watch some TV. He had to use a time spell to rebuild the city block. It was easier than having to remember what everything looked like, but time spells took quite a bit of energy. Even more so when it was the size of the area he had to fix. A single room or one person isn't so bad, but an entire city block? That was something else entirely. He flicked on the TV and was watching the news when he heard about the Registration Act that the UN was about to enforce. That didn't sit well with him in the slightest.

Talak

It took a second, but flailing around at several times the speed of sound was enough to break him free of the goo that Xyri trapped him in. He was about to just run over and start hitting her again when a ship descended from the sky. On top of that, the slime thing seemed to stop and was talking. He zipped back over, most of the slime on his costume flew off due to his speed, but he was curious as to what just happened and how come the slime girl wasn't attacking anyone anymore, and where the ship came from. "I am confused. I thought we were fighting... What is the human word for this?" He asked with some of the slime on his hands.

Lucien Gediminid

I silently gazed through the window of the Imperial Automobile, a black limousin with metal coating all over to protect it from suicide bombers, as it drove through the center of Vilnius. It was really a boring trip - I would have certainly preferred flying there. At least I would not be confined to this space. I proposed an idea to my father, that I could speed the car up rather easily, but he declined. 'This is an important trip, and I need to get prepared'. We were returning from our visit of Warsaw and returning home to participate in a national awards ceremony. As the Prince of Lithuania, I had to be there too, but obviously, I mostly had to come to ensure protection.

My clothes were all sparkly and 'royal'. Some magenta coating, though mostly red coat and pants, with my cape still there. I didn't like this outfit that much. It didn't fit my style, and I've gotten used to my old uniform. But, Dad said that I needed to wear it, and I don't look too bad in it, so I conceded. For the time... Oh! At last! I could hear cheers and a large group of people earlier, but now we reached the National Theater of Opera and Ballet, rented for the awards. Here, Dad will present and congratulate the people of our country that did the best to help it or increase it's fame. Writers, actors, other important people... Even national heroes and local superheroes, the ones who sided with Dad, anyway, will be awarded with medals. The car started slowing down as I noticed a red carpet from the street to the entrance. Some other fashionable cars followed us, too.

But... I felt strange. Every person's ki in the crown felt dim... I soon noticed the reason. There was an incredibly powerful person between them. A really strong one. That means trouble.

"Wait, what?" Augustin suddenly exclaimed. "So they did manage to pass the Superhero Registration Act. I wonder, do former heroes count?" He was apparently talking with someone through his ear piece, but I needed to inform him.

"Dad, this is dangerous. There is a powerful pe-"

"Not now, Lucien... Wait, you mean all superpowered humans must register? Well, we'll need to review the act..."

"I think I might need Super Saiyan for this one."

Dad suddenly stopped. He knows that I'm serious when I say things like this. "I'll call you back, Antanas." He said, then used his leg to open the door of the now stopped car. That was the signal. I felt a power spike, and then I saw a young man fly out of the crowd and dash towards the automobile, holding an energy ball and shouting:

"Death to the oppressor!"

I knew what to do. The man was really fast. I turned Super Saiyan in an instant, jumped out through the opened door and charged towards the enemy, slamming my fist to his cheek. He was flinged away, and before he could cause any more trouble, I sent an energy blast to finis him iff. This resulted in a massive explosion, as my attack combined with his ball, resulting in most of the frnt ourtyard getting burned down. I think some were injured. Damn.

Augustin walked out of the car and looked to the scenery, now ruined. "And this is why the UN has a sound mind on these issues." He waved the hand at the crowd and spoke:

"The ceremony is postponed by three days. Thank you for your wait."
I have a severe case of addiction to writing. At least 3k words every day is my fix.

Devil's Den
Samantha saw her sister start to flirt with the man who came up to them. She wasn't surprised, he was attractive enough, and her sister was a natural flirter, literally speaking. Samantha wasn't very interested in the man, he seemed much older than she was anyway. She nodded though when Sarah asked if it'd be alright if he sat with them. Samantha didn't want to rob her sister of her fun of trying to get this guy to fawn over her. Samantha was pretty confident that she'd succeed. When the waiter came by Samantha ordered some blueberry waffles and a side of bacon. When the waiter left though, something caught her eye.

Samantha noticed a woman sitting at the bar. Samantha's eyes widened as she summoned bottles over to herself magically. Even more interesting was the woman's physical appearance. She had a long tail, and pitch black eyes. She was clearly attractive, but Samantha saw her features as fascinating more than anything else. She decided she wanted to talk to this woman, as she surely had some interesting knowledge about magic and Sam was always eager to learn.

"I'll be right back guys," She said to her sisters before walking over to the bar where the woman she had been looking at sat. She thought about what to say and when she couldn't come up with anything she decided to just be simple about it. "Hi, my name is Sam." She said a little shyly, but got more confident as she moved the conversation toward magic, " How are you moving those bottles? What spell are you using?" Sam asked curiously, sure that this woman was a spell caster like herself.

John saw Sarah wink at him, and heard her flattery. He knew it would be quite difficult to resist her for long, and he decided he'd have to do it as subtly as possible otherwise they might get suspicious,

"Thanks" He said to Sarah when she said he could sit down with them, smiling at her as he lowered himself into his seat. "So, are you girls from Gotham? Or are you just visiting?" He asked, making casual conversation. "I'm visiting myself. My company has a headquarters here, so I decided to visit to see how things were going, With all the unrest I wanted to make sure things were okay." He told Sarah and Hannah.

Mars
Mars was striking as many aliens as he could as suddenly a new wave of them began to appear, "How many of these Rantu are there going to be?" Mars asked, having already analyzed their physiology. Suddenly a group of enemies he was about to attack was struck with bat-shaped objects. He looked down and saw the bat-mobile and the woman he knew was batgirl from his research of heroes across the country. "great what is she doing here?" He mumbled as he continued to fight. Mars was anti-social and this was pushing him to his limit.

JFK International
Trophy leapt down from his plane, giving a small wave to his pilot, before exiting to the terminal. Richards and the Fantastic Four had been notified that he would be coming through JFK, so they should have sent notification ahead that he was to be let through. As he passed a TV display, he narrowed his eyes at the announcement. Of course. The moment I come here, everything goes to shit. He sighed and put on his helmet, opting to get to the Baxter Building as quickly as possible.

Gotham City
"Reclaimer, get your ass back to base. We've got a situation." The Commissioner's voice came through the radio.
"I'm kind of in the middle-" Prometheus unleashed a flurry of kicks and punches, most of which landed on Reclaimer. "-Busy right now!"
Reclaimer suddenly punched Prometheus in the skull, knocking him back, then launched himself at him with a roar. The two went tumbling off of the balcony they were on, landing in the street below, making a small crater. Prometheus was unconscious, his helmet cracked, but Reclaimer simply got up. "Jesus, that hurts. Now what the hell-"
"They passed the Superhuman Registration Act."
"...I'll be back at base in 10."

Boxer glanced out at the city, where he knew both the Avengers and the Justice League were still cleaning up.
"We're about to be ground zero for a war again, aren't we?"

Jonathan Pierce

"Well, sir, it's official. Superhuman Registration Act is on movement." said a SHIELD agent to Pierce, as they are on their way to New York via VTOL. He reads the news from his tablet, intelligence reports, and official reports now. New York is the place where superhumans, whether villains or heroes, required to register their rights. Or face prison times, fines, or worse.

"It's not a good news for supers. It means they have to register, if they don't want to, that's...well...we don't have the authority to force them to join as of now." said Pierce to the agent.

"The news hasn't been released to the public apparently, and maybe not now, maybe tomorrow. But now, we rendezvous with the field SHIELD agents on the ground, and working at the military recruitment centers at New York to help the government, spreading our resources to secure New York from any unwanted riots."

"Yes, Sir." said the agents. Pierce's authority extends at New York only, for now.

Earth

"The Superhero Registration Act?" Asumar asked himself, Watching through his holographic projector as the Speaker of the United Nations announced the passage of the Superhero Registration Act, which mandated that all Superheroes, regardless of their species, apply at the nearest Military Recruitment Center and register with the government and protect the world while under the watchful eye of the Earth's Government. Asumar's face remained blank as he spoke his thoughts out loud "So they finally decide to do something about it eh?" Asumar said with a slight smirk on his face, having expected that something like that would have taken place sooner or later "Well it's too bad for them, I have no intentions for registering and most likely, there will be resistance on the Superheroes' part to put an end to the Registration Act." Asumar then stood up and turned to Kazuko, who was sitting on the ground and admiring the scenery of Earth. "Kazuko, did you know that the Superhero Registration Act was just passed by the United Nations?"

Kazuko, without even turning to his brother replied "I heard the news," Kazuko turned his head back to Asumar with a slight smile on his face ", I would side with the Governments on this, due to the sheer amount of damage that would be unintentionally caused by the heroes of Earth, but to keep them under the watchful eye of said governments, that is kind of pushing it too far don't you think?" Kazuko asked his brother, who simply nodded his head in agreement "Well the good part about it is that it will take four months for the law to go into effect." Kazuko rose up and removed the metallic plates of his War Armor "That will give superhumans, mutants, and aliens enough time to go into hiding and avoid registering, and to think that we decided to make Earth our new home for now." Kazuko said with a chuckle "It looks like this whole situation ought to be something to watch carefully."

Shield Helicarrier
Cyberlantern went into Fury's office. "You wanted me, Sir?" he asked.

"Wilde, there's going to be a big problem. The UN just passed a law requiring superhumans to register, and there will be those that disagree. Once four months passes, Shield will be called upon to bring these people in," Fury replied, "I want you to get ready for the worst. And register."

"I already did, Sir," Cyberlantern replied.

Jump City
Overmind smiled.
The Justice League is going to be divided over this Act. Good. They are so much easier to kill individually.
She rose into the air and looked around at her base. It was rough- But it would do. Of course, one cannot hope to kill a League member without a little help. She opted to send out a signal across several wavelengths used only by those who called themselves villains.
"You know who I am. Most of you owe me. I am calling upon you, and any who would see the death of the Justice League, to rendezvous with me in Jump City. I have a plan to eliminate them once and for all."

This Superhuman Registration Act would be the perfect cover for them. With the Heroes too busy fighting themselves, her new and improved Secret Society would be able to infiltrate both sides. And if any divisions didn't form, against all likelihood- Well, that was easily resolved by a few attacks.

Whichever side won wouldn't matter. In their moment of glory, standing over the fallen bodies of those they called friends, her Secret Society would strike down the Justice League, and any others who would dare stand in their way, once and for all.

And then the world will finally be safe.

Ow. Ow. That's how I have to start every thought now, don't I? Hiroshi countered my attack, and did not seem to budge much from my own. He also sent some strikes by himself, which did damage, but at the Hyper Heran form, it was more like a drop in a lake. I have to move fast. Fast enough to counter his advances, or whatever he is planning in his little dome of his. I moved back from his face, then vanished, like an after-image.

That illusion of disappearance only lasted for a few seconds, though, as I flew across the skies at massively FTL speeds, and charged at Hiroshi and prepared to strike him from, seemingly, 15 different directions. However, all of them were after-images, and should they get hit, they will dissipate. Meanwhile, I was at the back, firing a massive energy wave.

Hiroshi:

It was all red. The entire left side of his vision, it was nothing but red. Flesh was raw and missing, and what he could only described as a chunk of bone was missing. The bolt of energy ahd impacted his left side, carrying him downwards and cratering the tiles of the lookout, burying his frame beneath hundreds of chips and chunks of ruined tile.

But worst of all, the fatigue he was feeling was hitting him full force. If he didn't start making her bleed of the energy she'd taken from him, by the time she wasted it all, he'd be left defenseless in face of her own power. Struggling to a sitting position, he shook chips of stone from his hair, touching a hand to his side, which came away smeared with blood.

Disappearing in a blur of motion, Hiroshi blitzed at Itaku, hundreds of after images rocketing towards her on every side. Appearing mere inches from her, their noses practically touching, Hiroshi threw his own attack, his leg sweeping out and snapping across her face. Twisting in the air, Hiroshi rocketed forwards, intent in tackling her downwards into the Lookout.

Itaku

Oh my god. Oh my god. What's with his face? Okay, we have gone too far. Most definitely. But his attacks did not stop. A few strong strikes later, my body brutally impacted the Lookout, and I slowly rose up from a crater full of rocks, rubble and broken up tiles. I looked up, still seeing the transformed Saiyan floating there. My energy supply wasn't that bad. And his... well, he doesn't look like he's faring well. Just look at his face!

I could finish him off here and now. I wasn't in Hyper Heran form, but I still had enough power. Throughout the fight he's been a real pain. It's not like this planet would miss- God, Itaku. How far can you go?

Itaku. I know you are fighting.

Yes, yes you do. How was the diplomatic mission, Shaytan?

I strongly recommend getting out of this planet as soon as possible. That's what I'm going to say.

Did they declare war on us?

No, but something worse. At least to them. I'll tell you about it more in detail her. We left a Teleportation Pod in our landing site. Grab it and come in.

Ure, I'll get there soon. "Well, Saiyan, you've had your fight. I can honestly tell that you are as much of a dick as we portray your people to be. Anything you want to talk about?"

" Huh your leaving? Well that sucks." The Super Saiyan groaned, landing on the ruined lookout below." I was just getting into the groove of fighting, and now your leaving! I don't have anything specific I want to talk about, you fight well, better then I've ever expected from a random alien who falls from the sky."

Stretching, he ripped off the remnants of his dark green dogi, gently touching a large open wound on his side. " Welp, happy travels, and I'd like a rematch someday, your an excellent fighter, and good luck in whatever mission your on." Hiroshi chuckled, half limping towards Kami and Popo. Sitting down with a huff, he gave Popo a gentle smile when he passed him a sensu.

" Thanks! So what next Claudia? I won my fight." Hiroshi said, a grin growing across his features.

Weiz Manor, outskirts of Gotham City.....

Screams of terror and pain echoed through the halls of the, now abandoned, Weiz Manor. Combine that with a faint opera music and the result is that even the militia is unnerved by it. 'I bet that GM is cutting his eyes out,' said one of the guards, who are positioned next to the doors leading to the office of Golden Mask, to the other.
'Bro, ofcourse not. He is cutting his toes off, one by one. Have seen him do that once,' said the other. Little did they know that their boss heard everything, and it made him grin for a mere second.

He put the hammer down. 'Look, officer....' he looked at the nameplate on the officer's breast. 'Oswald. Really, if you just tell me where Cobblepot is I can even let you go with all your toes! Does that sound good to you, Oswald?' he asked nicely. Officer Oswald from the GCPD nodded in agreement, his face still frozen in a terrified state. 'Good boy. Now.....Where the fuck is Cobblepot!?' he yelled from behind his golden mask. The officer started to cry. 'I..I..I don't know! Please...please d...don't hurt me again!' He begged, shaking, and wet of blood, sweat and tears.
Weiz sighed. 'And here I was, hoping for you that you didn't have to spill more of your discusting blood on my expensive, granite desk.

He took the hammer in his right hand again, wich he previously used to break the knuckles of Oswald's hands. 'Hehe...Oswald, my dear, dear Oswald, time to put some nails under those nails of yours.'
He didn't even give Oswald the chance to scream. In mere seconds he slammed the first nail, hot as fire, in his thumb. No matter how hard he crawled, screamed and cried, it didn't stop Weiz to slam the secod nail in his hand. 'AAAAAAHHRRRG STOP IT! STOP IT PLEASE!' he yelled.
'What?' Weiz asked, and slammed yet another nail in his hand.

'D....Dixon docks!' he yelled in terror. He owns the warehouses there but please don't hurt me!' he cried.
'Awwhhh, sh sh sh sh'
Weiz stroked Oswald's cheeks with his bare hand, drenched in his own blood.
'Was that so hard buddy? See, my men are now tracking the Dixon dock in...the Port of Gotham, I assume. It will be a matter of time before I know everything about it, and how Cobblepot is tied to that place. Now, be free, my bird!'

He unchained Oswald from his desk, and helped him up. 'w..will you just let me go? Like this?' Oswald asked. 'Yes, like that,' he concluded while washing his hands. 'But first, one last question,' he said, while he grabbed his cane. 'Have you lived a life you will remember?' he asked.

Oswald didn't know how to answer that question. 'I...I guess so,' he said after a few seconds of silence.
'Good,' Weiz said. He took a hidden knife out of his cane, and stabbed Oswald right through his neck. Blood gushed out of the deep wound and his mouth, before falling on the ground, crawling and spurtling like a fish on dry land, before he laid down peacefully.

Craig Thomsen/Silverwing
A Good Man Goes to War - Prologue

It took them awhile, but indeed, they made him scream, on that first day. Vicky's maniac laughs echoed in his head and Craig went in and out of consciousness. He was assaulted on a physical and mental level, Vicky placing her hand over his heart, while Maya assaulted his brain with her telepathic spears, jabbing into his walls, always seeking, probing, for an entrance. And just when he was about to slip out of consciousness, Leonard was there, smashing a fist into his stomach and dumping a bucket of cold water over his head, Craig managing to catch a quick drink.

On, and on it went for hours, until midnight, his torturers departing for the night, not before hanging him up in an X position to the wall, making him unable to sleep, leaving the lights on. But he had no desire to sleep, knowing that the nightmares would be just as bad. And this was just the first day. Firstly, he set up his mental defenses, putting up wall after wall, assembling them brick by brick. He blocked off every corridor of his mind, though he left openings that were really traps. Maya would now have to make her way through a maze. Craig cleared his mind of any weapons, not wanting to even think of them.

Next, he stretched out his senses. He had several aces to play, one being his technology manipulation, which they didn't know about. Accessing their networks, he discreetly accessed the base's map, memorizing their layout and locking it away. Gaining control over the cameras, alarms, electronic locks and anything connected to technology, he also hacked into the recording systems, connecting it to his suit, giving him a recording of his torture, as proof. A

Then he closed his eyes, strengthening his willpower with thoughts of Etla. And so, he drifted to sleep, not knowing when he would be rudely awakened, not knowing of the passing of the Superhuman Registration Act, nor of the worries of those back at Thomsen Tech, especially of one particular Rainborn.

Craig was awakened by Vicky, a sharp stabbing pain in the small of the back that made him arch in pain, his eyes snapping one. "Rise and shine, Craig!" she said, smiling at him. The two women unchained him, Craig, realizing that this was an opportunity, made for the door, only for its frame to slam into his nose, Leonard grabbing him and throwing him back to the metal wall, cracking a few of his ribs. Maya tsked, shaking her finger at him, and launched a mental assault, Craig glaring at her, and forcing her out of his mind as hard as he could. The telepathic gasped, taking a few steps back. Trying again, she was met by another mental wall, stronger than the first one. Glaring at the young inventor, she tried again, Craig, leaning against the wall, let her try her absolute best and mentally punched her out again, causing some blood to run down her nose.

"What's happening, Maya?" Vicky asked, Leonard cuffing Craig to the table once again. "His mind is very, very strong. It seems like he took the night as an opportunity to strengthen his defenses, and I'm met with a wall every time."

Vicky's insane smile was broken by a frown. "Huh. I think I know what will make him open up!" Taking out a gun, she swiftly fired into his shoulder, Craig screaming in pain, trying to grasp his shoulder, but prevented from doing by the handcuffs. Leonard then grabbed the shoulder and squeezed it with his giant hands, Craig nearly fainting from the pain. Maya took the opportunity to delve into his mind, this time finding an opening. Rushing in, she was met with a wave of overwhelming pain, Craig having unlocked that that section of his brain as a trap. And once she entered, he closed it with a wall again, and so, she felt every part of that pain, Craig sharing that with her. Vicky and Leonard continued to torture him, Maya soon fainting from it. Leonard, frowning at that, kicked Craig in the ribs, breaking a few more of them.

And so the torture continued, Craig, letting his mind float away to another place as they waterboarded him and then electrocuted the water, shocking him. They cut and stabbed and shot and touched and punched, and he gave them the screams their dark hearts desired to hear, but not the schematics, not the plans. Maya launched assault after assault while Vicky inflicted 12,000 times a normal man's threshold, and Leonard used the 'enhanced interrogation' tactics he had been taught. But he was no ordinary man. He was Craig Thomsen, and he would not give in to pain.

And so, at midnight, hanging on chains that chafed his wrists and ankles, he smiled, a bloody grin, with broken bones and a black eye. He smiled, and dreamed one born in the Rain.

Perhaps we are all mad, but you have my sword and spear, Maxwell Morningstar, and they shall not be unsheathed until the job is done or we are all dead." Valka smiled grimly, unsheathing Oathbringer.

Defenders Mansion

Panda was in the kitchen of the mansion, preparing himself some noodles and veggies for breakfast. "Good morning Panda," said Bolin as he entered the room. "Greetings," replied Panda. "The President of China contacted me yesterday," said Bolin, "he said he thinks the government has a lead on Hydra and wants us to assist." "You know most of those leads are dead ends," said Panda, "Hydra is good at staying hidden." "I know I know," replied Bolin, "But I have a good feeling about this. Once the others wake up and get breakfast we'll head out. I told him we'll be there by the end of today." Not much later, Mizuka entered the kitchen. Then Liwei. Bolin informed them of what was going on, so they all ate breakfast and boarded the Quinjet. Bolin purchased the Quinjet from SHIELD not long after the Defenders team was formed.

Dinosaur Island
Ara returned from her visit with Valka. She stood on the beach and waited for her friends to greet her. No one appeared. She sang their calls, but none answered. "This is unusual," she thought, stepping further into the forest. That was when she saw the smoke. She bolted through the jungle, and arrived shortly afterward, to see her hut had been burned. In a spirit of rage, she screamed in anger, then began weeping bitterly for her friends.

As her tears plopped down onto what used to be the fire pit, she heard a squawking-like that of a pterosaur calling for help. She quickly rose to her feet and ran towards the noise to see a pterosaur more dead than alive, yelling, "I hear you pterosaur! I'll find you." When she reached a clearing, she saw a pterosaur on the ground. It's beak was busted, and it's wing was torn. She ran over to comfort it, "Ssh. It's okay. I'm here." It squawked, trying to tell her something with it's dying gasps, then it died. Ara stroked it's head, kissed it, then the jungle echoed with her powerful voice screaming,

"I WILL FIND WHOEVER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS AND SLAY EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM! YOU WILL NOT FIND IT EASY TO PLEAD MERCY FROM ARA THE UNDEFEATED, CHIEF OF THE TRIBALS!"

Once her pterosaur had been buried, she sat on the beach mourning the death of her friends. "I will find you. I will," she sobbed. As her tears fell to the sandy beach, she thought she imagined the head of her Plesiosaur appear out of the ocean. It shuffled itself to land, and lay it's head in her lap. "I'm imagining this," Ara said, "I have to be." The Plesiosaur gently nipped her and she winced in pain, "Okay, I'm not dreaming. Did you escape?" The Plesiosaur grunted, and bobbed it's head up and down. "Do you know where they are?" asked Ara. The Plesiosaur again nodded. "Take me to the place," Ara said. The Plesiosaur shuffled itself into the ocean as Ara climbed on.

Hours later, they came in sight of a ship with her friends in barred cages. Ara found herself and her Plesiosaur ensnared in a net. Once they were dragged on board, a man dressed in green and yellow said, "I knew that the Plesiosaur would lead you here. Now, tell me where they came from."

"Never!" Ara insisted, "They are not to be treated so terribly. I will not tell you." She grabbed for her spear, but instantaneously, she felt sleepy. She collapsed to the floor unconscious.

Later, she awoke inside a large cage. The same voice threatened, "Now, meine Dame, now that we have arrived at our destination, we shall see if you still hold to your beliefs, ja?"

"I do!" Ara shouted, "You will never lay eyes on another."

Electricity jumped around the inside of the cage. Ara, unaffected by this, pretended to be hurt, and begged, "Please stop! Let me out and I'll tell you everything."

The man opened the cage to be greeted by a heavy punch to the face. He fell backwards, rubbing his jaw. "Meine Dame, you want a fight, ya? You shall get one." He blew a whistle, and dozens more came in his place. Seeing her spear on a table nearby, Ara grabbed it, and slammed the ground, creating a ring of fire around herself. The aggressors backed off slightly, then came back with fire extinguishers. Ara snatched up her club and froze the leader in time, and beat him with the club. "You would be wise to let me pass," she said. The other men looked at one another, and clenched their fists. She whacked them with her club. Snatching up her slingshot, she pushed them out of the way and towards the door. She would find her friends.

Chinese Airspace on route to Beijing
"So Bolin, what are your thoughts on this act that has been passed?" asked Panda. Bolin set the ship on auto pilot and turned to face Panda, "Well I certainly understand the reasoning behind it," replied Bolin, "There are way too many uncontrolled supers running around that we really need to keep an eye on." "This law wouldn't change much for you would it?" asked Panda, "I mean, you're already in Chinese and Japanese databases and employed by the government. The world knows who you are and respects you." "That's true," replied Bolin, "I do work for the government. However, its strictly for non-combat based missions. At least that's what my contract said. Unfortunately, this new law may overrule my contract and require me to officially register with SHIELD." "How do you feel about that?" asked Panda.

"Not too fond of the idea," replied Bolin, "I respect the government to an extent but they have a tendency to make bad decisions and abuse their power. Imagine how oppressed the world could become if every super was working for the government? Imagine how bad wars would get if people like Superman and Goku were forced onto the frontlines by their home countries? There is a lot wrong with this law that I just can't support. There has to be a less restrictive way to limit the dangers posed by super beings." "In four months it will be illegal worldwide for supers to remain unregistered," said Panda, "I assure you that myself and the others will not be registering. What then will become of the Defenders?" "Honestly I don't know," replied Bolin, "It will be almost impossible for the Defenders to stay active assuming the Japanese government will be knocking at our door. We may have to go underground. In fact, I should be able to set up an underground base for us to operate from within the four month period. Its gonna get crazy once the four months is up. The world is basically going to become a war zone. Villains will take advantage of the situation too. We need heroes that will focus on being heroes even during that time." "I understand," replied Panda, "We will stay at your side."

Shanghai-Hydra Base
Ara fought her way to the place her friends had been stored. She released them, and they swarmed the Hydra base. The last man standing said, "My sacrifice is unnecessary. When one head is chopped off, two more rise to take it's place. Hail Hydra!" As the raptors killed him, he pressed a button that swung open a gate leading to the city. From the inside, Ara could see it. A monster had been unleashed into the city. Every instinct of Ara had pushed her to run, but her honor held her. She said, "I may die fighting this beast, but today, the world shall know that it is protected by Ara the Undefeated, Chieftess of the Tribals." She then tried to find the exit of the maze of halls she was in.

Once she was out, she saw the beast destroying buildings, vehicles, and people. Running as fast as she could, she charged at the beast and threw her spear at it's gigantic foot. It roared, then looked down at Ara, then roared again, as Ara tried to beat it with her club. Instantaneously, three raptors attacked the beast, trying to dig their claws in its skin. The beast shook them off with ease. Ara's spear fell to the ground as the horrible creature chased after her. She ran, slow enough to keep its attention, and fast enough that the jaws wouldn't touch her.

By now, Military Choppers were surrounding the beast, and the weapons they were using were ineffective. Squads of soldiers were surrounding the beast, and each squad was killed. The beast smashed a squad of tanks before they could fire.

Knightstone Tower

Aaron and Laz returned to the tower, entering through the parking garage into Sonja's office. The CEO was sitting at her desk, staring intently at her computer, her cellphone sitting out next to her left hand. Aaron frowned. Sonja never kept her phone out unless something big was happening.

She didn't notice Aaron and Laz, until the latter pulled a bag of Cheetos from the office pantry Sonja kept stocked with all sort of grease. The crinkle and rip of the foil bag must've registered with Sonja, because she looked up from her computer.

"Aaron. Mr. Hope. Welcome back, and turn around. There's something I need to show you."

Aaron turned, wondering what could be so important. Last time Sonja had something so important to show him, it was the cancellation of Invader ZIM. By the look on her face, this was infinitely more serious.

The screen flickered on, and Aaron watched as the 100-inch flatscreen displayed the UN vote earlier that day. His mouth fell open in disgust. When the broadcast ended and Sonja paused the TV, Aaron turned to face her.

"How dare they?!" he seethed, his face reddening. "This is a blatant, flagrant, idiotic breach of human rights! Those cowardly, sniveling, pompus little…"

But Sonja raised a hand, cutting her friend off. Her head still down, she said "I know, you don't like this, Aaron. I wouldn't either. But, I'm going to have to ask you," Sonja sighed, still refusing to meet the eyes of the closest person she had to a son.

"To register. Tomorrow, please."

Aaron froze. "What?"

"Register. ASAP. I know it's tough, but…"

"NO, YOU DON'T! ALL YOU KNOW IS…IS…RUNNING YOUR GODDAMN COMPANY! MAKING MONEY! THAT'S ALL YOU KNOW AND THAT'S ALL YOU CARE ABOUT!" Aaron yelled, and Sonja flinched as if he'd struck her.

"Aaron…please…"

"No. If you want me to cooperate with this stupidity, then I quit. No need for a severance package."

Sonja looked up, finally meeting Aaron's eyes. She moved her mouth as if to speak, but no words came out, just an odd choking sound that continued as Aaron walked out the door onto the deck and took off. When he was gone, she stopped moving entirely.

Very quietly, Sonja said "Mr. Hope? Lazarus?"

"Yes?"

"Get out, please. Karl will set you up with an apartment in Gotham if you want. But get out, now."

Hearing her tone, Laz decided that he didn't want to argue and left for the elevator.

Sonja stood from her chair, clutching the TV remote in her hand. She simply stood there for a moment, and then, with a single movement, she hurled the remote at the TV screen.

"DAMMIT!"

Sonja's scream echoed through her massive, empty suite. It was the scream of one who has just lost the only family she had left, a mother losing her son. With another, savage motion she smashed her laptop, and then her phone, before turning around to the massive window, pressing her forehead to the glass. She slammed her fists on it repeatedly, as the bulletproof glass became streaked with the first genuine tears she'd had since her Father's death.

"Dammit dammit dammit dammitdammitdammit DAMMIT! DAMN IT ALL!" Sonja shouted to herself, slumping in her chair, defeated.
