Rebecca Phillips/The Jester-20 Yrs-Gotham City

My lips drifted a little closer to hers as she said the word exciting. But before anything happened, I simply spun myself around and began walking away. Making grand gestures to the carnival around us. "This place is AMAZING! If we are going to be here, why not fix it up?! This place needs some color after all." I mentioned as I grabbed a bucket of paint and a brush as I began making random strokes on the equipment and various tents in bright green. "We needs lights, rides, candy and explosive fun!" I then made my way along with Queen as we went about adding our own touches to the carnival. I began to hit the light switches and smash into some candy containers, not eating them, just throwing them around like rice at a wedding.

I continued this little escapade as my mind drifted to my new partner. Something about her struck me as fascinating. The fact that she can even be around my loony behavior is reason enough to find her amiable but I began to think it was a little more than that. Alone all of my life, I have finally caved in and descended into madness. Although, I had still expected to be alone, only this time for more comfortable with myself. Only now, I realize that I dont have to be alone, that we were both together in madness. Both living the same bad joke, and laughing at it.

A smile crossed my face. As the realization hit me. I began to sing, with her just in earshot.

"We are two of a kind, violent, unsound of mind. Your the yin to my yang can't you see?
And if I were to leave you would grumble and grieve, face it Queensy you'd be lost without me."

As the tone of my voice carried louder I stopped messing with the wires and danced my way over to Queensy. Continuing my little song as the stereos in the carnival came to life. The music playing in the background I sang the song to flow with the carnival music.

"I'm just trying to show you just how well I know you, I understand just how you feel.
Threw you're reason away, cause you had one bad day and your mind let go of the wheel!

And you wont let this end, cause I'm your only friend, we are opposites but were the same."
As the music continued to play on I allowed my voice to trail off. As now I was curious about my friend. So, I naturally asked.

"You must have had a bad day you know, why else would you dress in a maid's outfit and play with knives?" I asked coyly. Then I sat myself down on a bench as I crossed my legs as I looked up at her.

"Why dont you tell me about you're bad day? I will show you mine if you show me yours ya know." Letting her mind take that however she pleased I rested myself as I decided to get to know my partner a little more intimately.

Etla stood silently and waited patiently as Helen began explaining to her the concepts of "food" and "sleep", as if she were a child paying attention to a school lecture. She understood very well the idea that every living thing required energy to continue living, everything. The Rainborn idly wondered if Father Sky needed it too. He didn't have a Core, after all. Sometimes he didn't have a form. But the girl decided to shake those thoughts off of her head for now, lest they make her feel a bit nostalgic again. Regardless, she understood that the flow of energy was integral to the life of all living things.

What she didn't quite understand was the concept of humans having to eat to gain energy. The idea that they had to put things in their mouth, destroy them and then absorb them in order to maintain the energy intake they required to continue living was utterly and completely alien to her. She was a Rainborn, a creature of a faraway dimension, and the Power Core that resided in her chest, guarded by her durable body, provided her with more than sufficient energy to do anything she wanted, producing energy endlessly and without rest. She supposed that these humans didn't have anything similar to her Core, or if they had it, then surely theirs was much less powerful or even defective. She simply couldn't find another explanation, though the very idea that these humans didn't have Power Cores struck her as odd. She hadn't expected them to be so different, when they looked so similar. Sleeping, at least, was a concept that she found slightly easier to grasp. Taking for granted the fact that humans ran out of energy for now, she could definitely understand that they would have to shut down temporarily to gather some more. Intrinsically, she knew that she herself could sleep if she so desired, though she had never done so. There was simply so much she could do, that sleep never struck her as a worthwhile option.

Hearing Helen urge her to follow along towards the city, Etla complied without complaint, though if one looked at her, one would easily notice the deeply thoughtful expression on her face. As she walked alongside the Rabbit Girl across the hilly countryside towards the caves of steel, she spoke once again.

"No... I think I understand... More or less." She stated. She did manage to grasp it, however strange it was to her. "Is that the only thing food is for, then? To gain energy? Or does it have some other use? I'm curious." She asked, hoping to learn more about the humans. Truly, they were a fascinating race.

Still hiding behind a conveniently placed wall, Garnet peeked out to assess the situation, and noticed, with some degree of pleasure that sickened her a bit at the same time, how one of the demons that were attacking the boy, the one that she had fired the whole clip at, was writhing in the ground, pain jolting through his body. Though the fact that another living creature's pain seemed to please her so was a bit concerning, she was quite content to see that Misery's bullets were more than capable of helping put those things down. It didn't seem like the physical damage was the one causing him such agony, so she surmised it was the soul burning property of the bullets instead. Either way, it was good to see that she still had some way of hurting them. She was really quite fortunate that most living things in the universe happened to have souls.

Inadvertently sporting a grin on her face, Garnet continued watching the battle unfolding before her. If nothing else, this unforeseen battle had turned out to be a very effective way to draw the woman's mind away from her economic and existential problems, as she was now focused on watching the alien demons fighting against the boy with the tail. And sure enough, something interesting soon happened, as the boy sent off some sort of energy attack to each of the other two extraterrestrial creatures, blasting them away, but apparently not killing them. She was rather surprised that someone who looked like a simple boy was capable of such things, but then, things like aliens and superpowerful people for some reason had become quite common in the world. She would know, she watched the news. She even had a magic gun for god's sake.

Her thoughts were interrupted when she saw the boy stand up and suddenly become as if he had been injected with some hardcore steroids. His muscles began growing and his hairstyle changed from out of the blue. That alone was rather bizarre, but what came after only added to it, as the boy roared, causing Garnet to have to cover her ears as glass shattered all around her. Then suddenly, the boy had a golden aura around him.

Needless to say, Garnet was dumbfounded after witnessing that. While she had been involved in supernatural stuff to a degree, the most she had seen were the shadows that plagued her. This boy was on a completely different level. Idly, she glanced down at Misery after having witnessed Hiroshi's transformation, noticing that the gun had finished reloading itself quite a while ago. That was another ten bullets that she could fire off at anything that dared to threaten her, or at anything that dared to threaten the boy, though truth be told she doubted that he would have much trouble facing off against those alien demon things. He had put up with carving a highway with his face before transforming, she had no idea what he was capable of now.

"Psst! Hey!" She called to try to get his attention without catching the attention of the Monarchs. "Punch first, ask questions while punching! Don't you know that?"

It truly was a very weird thing. After all, energy sensing shouldn't lie. Neither should eyes, but still, it's even a bit creepy. The boy quickly turned his head back, and besides Lisa, he only saw darkness. The opening was already very far away, but at the same time, they only walked down a couple of meters. It's like they moved much faster tha they felt they were. It was one of Lyhn's tricks, but they were not aware of that.

"Lisa? Did you notice that we already went down so far? In only a matter of seconds?" The boy said and turned to the android nearby. "And at the same time, I can feel a very weak power all over th place... I don't get it." All of this weirdness was far too much for an eight year old boy to comprehend, and he would usually just resort to just shrugging it off.

Lisa considered the possibilities. "Well, you can't sense my energy right?" She offered. "So maybe they're all Androids... very... advanced androids..." She offered. "Okay... something... "weird" is going on." She conceded. She walked some more into the cave with Lucien, making sure to stay close to him. It was strange how Augustin wasn't doing that, she was sure he would be more concerned about his son. Even she understood that. Then she looked behind herself.

"That is odd..." She muttered, the sudden distance manipulation was strangely familiar... like she was able to do that. She had never considered that application of her powers. She was happy she was learning so much, but concerned at the same time. "Don't worry. If something really bad happens I'll teleport us all out." She replied, trying to give a comforting smile. It was kinda forced though...

"That's cool. You can teleport?" Lucien asked Lisa, but he was silenced and stopped by Augustin, as he finally saw something at the end of the tunnel. A very dim, orange light. Perhaps that's where it was leading up to... but something felt weird. He could sense something inside, but at the same time everywhere... This was just getting weirder and weirder. The Prince took a step, and suddenly the light came much closer, as if a huge train was heading his way. He almost immediately jumped back, and it went back to being the normal dim light.

"What in the..." he exclaimed.

"Something is manipulating the distance we travel... You know that old tale where a man puts on some boots, and with every step he moves seven miles? Maybe that's what is happening here..." Lucien gave his opinion. He was as confused as his father was, but unlike him, he didn't put it in his mind that much. Augustin merely sighed and moved forward. With only three steps, he and the others had reached the source of the light. It was a massive orange crystal floating in the center of a large cavern. He didn't see much inside, but what he did see was a lot of figures. Humanoid figures.

"So, is this the thing that some people identified as Lyhn?" The Prince shouted. It didn't look like a demon, but it felt like the core of all this energy scattered across the planet.

"Yes..." the thing spoke. It didn't do much, though. As far as they could see. Unknown to then, a part of Lyhn's body was already moving through the ground below, ready to grab and absorb the victims. The cavern started to close as well, as rocks started falling down and filling up the entrance...

"Yes I can," She replied. She had realised the whole distance manipulation beforehand, but hadn't spoken up about it. Though it didn't matter too much really. Well it might matter for when they had to leave, but Lisa was confident they would find some way around it. "That might be problematic later on..." She did admit, but didn't say much else in response as she proceeded with the others. She didn't usually feel fear, but this whole scneario was more than a little concerning. She kept her guard up though, making sure to be ready for whatever might come.

Though, she wasn't really ready for a giant floating sentient crystal. Lisa paused, It's... not really doing much? She thought. Then paused to look at it some more, not really detecting the threat from the floating crystal. Is this... anticlimactic? I think that's what that word means.

The Silver Queen giggled slightly. "True, this place could use a little fixing. We don't want to get a lawsuit after all." She quipped, then shuddered. "Laywers, the only thing more scary that us "Villains"." She then got to work, creating the odd strange sculpture from molten metal she gathered. Her "art" was usually sharp and pointy, making abstract shapes and weird designs, whatever her mind could envision. She soon tired of that and decided to coat the path in a thin coat of metal. Then she decided to leave a few flowers made from metal in a few places. She was beginning to run out of metal, so then decided to merely watch Rebecca.

A thin smile appeared on her face as she watched her. She had finally found someone whom she could be around. So many other so called "friends" simply couldn't understand her. she couldn't relate to them, it was like they were speaking different languages. But now she had found someone fluent in crazy. Someone who's infectious glee made her happy, rather than the boringly serious members of her gang. All of them seemed to be either blind yes men or serious thugs who thought they were tough because they killed someone. Silvey had killed plenty and so was usaully unimpressed with their boring lack of imagination. She didn't want to be just some criminal in Gotham who danced the dance with the bat, she wanted to leave her mark, truly make an unmistakable impression and share her mad mind with the world. Or she just wanted to have fun, depending on her mood, but are the two truly mutually exclusive?

She was snapped out of her thoughts by the singing, to which she smiled. She hummed along to the music, finding it quite apealing. She would have to remember this song. "A talented singer too... I definitely chose the right partner." She complimented.

Her expression changed when she was asked about her self. Not exactly upset, but still a little more serious than earlier. Memories she had tried to forget came back. Then, she sat next to Jester. "Well." She began. "I just got tired of pretending to be someone I wasn't..." She suddenly smiled as she remembered that day. The day she let go.

"Crazy...?" She laughed, first a girlish giggle and then a full blown psychotic laugh. She wiped the blood from her mouth with her tongue. "You haven't seen crazy yet..."

"Though... I wouldn't call that day bad necessarily..."

"What about you?" She asked. "I mean, I know about the gas, but seem like you've had to put up with more than just one bad day..."

He looked ahead. He looked at his hand. "Well, it can't hurt." Sayaku said, before shoving the demon-enhanced hand into his own chest. He could hear his own heartbeat, loud and clear. Adrenaline, or demon energy, he couldn't tell, coursed through Sayaku, pretty much making him feel as if he'd just drank a whole shit ton of coffee. He grew claws, fangs, and an aura like Kirana, and his hair spiked straight up.

"Aw yeah," Sayaku muttered, as he grabbed the bot by the head and threw her away across the clearing. "I don't know how long this will last, so we should end this quick." He told Kirana, flying after the android at top speed.

Kirana nodded, having to pause for a bit as she was intoxicated by the power rushing through her veins. She smiled as she sped off towards the android with Sayaku, who seemed to be standing still in a hole made by her impact into the ground. She brushed herself off and look directly at the Kryptonian. A swift calculation and she set her plan in motion, gambling on a likely probability she quickly blasted her with kryptonite gas and then began to swiftly move away to her ship. Kirana began to choke, coughing as her powers weakened. The gas was powerful, she had to admit, as she suddenly found herself beginning to black out.

What weapons and armaments it had was beyond him, but it was worth a shot. After all, Shizuo did follow him to Mars. If it was capable of keeping up with him, then it at the very least deserved some time. Being a machine, Alex couldn't sense it's energy. He had no way of knowing how powerful it really was. "Same rules. Try to to hit me." He said and faced Shizuo ready for combat.

"Alright. I'll admit, I don't fight like you all do. I'm a bit more... technical." Shizuo said, pulling his gun from its holster. "This will either much easier, or much harder, than the Arcosian had it."

Before he even finished talking, Shizuo let out half a dozen shots from his handgun. The shots were lasers: high speed and stop for nothing. They'll tear through a foot of high-grade battleship armor from Shizuo's time. Then he pulled his light blade from his left holster, following the beams with a lethal confined laser blade that had about the same penetrating power as the beams.

You're a lantern. But if you want, then sure." He said moving side to side to avoid Shizuo's swipes. "However, when we're done here, I'll get that collar off. I just remembered about it. I have a working theory on how to remove it." He said and slammed his hands together in a Thunderclap to try and knock Shizuo away. He was an android, Alex wasn't certain if he felt pain, but it was worth a shot to at least show off his newfound strength.

Theme - Lyhn Transforms

The three fighters all eyed down the large orange crystal that was supposed to be Lyhn, the demon thing that the bikers supposedly talked about when they first entered the Cave of Destiny. It looked like it was no threat. Or just a core of a creature that lives across the entire planet. Anyway, it looked like it wasn't aggressive at all. Just floated there and waited. As if asking to kill it. However, every second that they waited for something to happen and just stood there, Lyhn's body was getting closer and closer to them underground. Lucien felt a weird power beneath his feet, but he shrugged it off at first. Until the earth beneath their feet started slowly crumbling and breaking apart.

"He's attacking!" Augustin shouted, and he and Lucien leaped up. Luckily for them, he was not bluffing, as large black liquid-ish tendrils (think Symbiote) charged after them from the ground like geysers. They were almost as fast as the two fighters. Interestingly enough, Lisa was not attacked, for some reason. Maybe Lyhn was aware that it was not an alive being, and thus not worth absorbing. Anyway, Augustin put up an energy shield around himself, trying to avoid the attacks. Lyhn left Lucien alone and focused all of his attacks on the White Prince, with dozens of other tendrils charging at him from all directions, slamming into the shield and trying to break it.

"Dad!" The Saiyan boy shouted and tried to jump in and help his father, but he quickly moved back, as the black ooze engulfed the entire shield, almost like trying to melt through it. And it looked like they were successful. The Prince, even with his technological gadgets and massive power for a human, could not withstand the continuous attacks, the shield eventually broke and he was slowly engulfed in the liquid. It didn't kill him, though. That was not Lyhn's intention. Instead, he was minimized and put into a ball, made of the attacking ooze, and flew right towards the crystal. Lucien jumped in and tried to grab it, but couldn't, as his hands merely went through the ball and didn't catch anything.

Augustin entered the core of Lyhn, and as soon as it happened, the crystal started shining in a white color, overshadowing every other light source in the room. The same liquid that was spread out all over the planet started gathering in the core, starting to form arms, legs and a body. The loss of so many mass from the crust and mantle meant that the entire thing started crumbling and slowly breaking apart, but that was the least of Lucien's concern. He failed to save his father, and now, he is likely dead or a part of this creature. They were tricked to come here. That's why he couldn't sense the people before - they were a part of Lyhn! If only he didn't kill that dragon, then they wouldn't have been tricked to come here, then...

Filled with anger, frustration and rage, Lucien gathered up a large portion of his energy in his left hand, then thrusted it forward while firing a massive green energy beam towards the still transforming Lyhn. However, as soon as it hit the monster, it quickly dissipated, apparently doing exactly no damage at all. It was a wasted effort. A failure. He once again showed that he can't do shit... can't save his father, can't save this planet... Lucien was standing on his knees, almost hoping that his revenge attack did something, something he did not see. But no, there was nothing. This just fueled the boy's rage and anger...

Meanwhile, the monster Lyhn was finishing his dreaded transformation. The hands and legs formed, so did the arms, for a second he was headless, but it grew out like a plant. However, it was hard to determine the facial features of the monster, as he was purely colored in a mix of black, grey and green, with almost no variation. However, he stood almost 10 feet tall, and looked like he was sporting some exceptional muscles. "At last... the eternal prison has been broken..." Lyhn stated in a clear, but deep voice, vaguely talking about his past, holding a much more shrunken down version of his crystal core, then later putting it back in his chest. Lucien was now in full-blooded rage, and opened up with a massive barrage of energy blasts, fired at the monster who, instead of dodging, simply casually walked towards the Saiyan. As the blasts hit the target one after another, all they did was cause a large explosion, with, once again, no damage. After walking up to Lucien, Lyhn crudely grabbed him by his hair and spoke:

"You are so unlucky that you weren't absorbed. Now I will have to test my power on your fragile body." As he said these gruesome words, he brutally threw the Saiyan to a wall. Afterwards, he fired an uncharged, but, relatively to Lucien, incredibly powerful energy blast. As the boy opened his eyes, aside from feeling massive pain in all areas, he saw a pink energy blast slowly heading towards him. Moving away is impossible - it already moved a long distance, it will reach Lucien before he has a chance to move. All there was to do was just watch...

A failure. A hand grabbed Lucien's arm suddenly, cold and metallic, yet likely somewhat familiar. Suddenly, quicker than blinking, a large portal engulfed the energy beam, swallowing it whole like it was a tube of tooth paste, then another hole opened up in space and spat the energy back at the monster. If he looked up, he would see the form of Lisa standing over him. Her eyes had turned red, like they had during the fight with Guldo. It hadn't taken her much to go into serious business mode this time, a testament to how Namek had changed her. If she was going to do any good she was going to have to adapt quickly and react decisively.

"You're okay?" Lisa asked, direct and to the point. Whether or not she got a response. She then turned to the monster. There was something new in her. She still had the impassive and neutral face, but her demeanor was much more serious. She had learnt anger. "Give. HIm. Back." She demanded. She wasn't going to loose another friend. Not now. Not ever again.

It's like he's not here to fight in the first place - just play with them and check out how strong he actually is. "What, you want your friend back? Quite the ambitious goal, isn't it?" Lyhn stated as he got closer and closer to the furious android, with a wide smirk on his face. Suddenly, without a warning, he teleported behind her and unleashed a large wave of intense fire upon the opponent from his right hand. Luckily, at the same time Lucien jumped in as well, kicking the arm as hard as he could, and even actually moving it a few centimeters. Possibly a difference of life and death. However, it didn't go as well for the boy, as he received a major slap from the left hand and was sent rolling back on the ground.

Gripping Spice by the forehead, he simply tossed the ring leader of the Demons away, his body tearing a hole through several buildings. Pirouetting around a blow from Ginger, he hooked his leg around him neck, spinning the demon around before burying his boot in his midsection.

" MASENKOOOO" Cupping his hands agaisnt his forehead, golden energy pooled in his palms. Golden flames grew wild around his form, setting the environment around hi ablaze with its intensity. The sun almost seemed lack luster in comparison to the flames gathering around the Saiyan. Hiroshi could feel the fire of his power flowing throgh his veins as he readied his attack.

'I need to focus it, I'm in a city, a massive attack of this measure would damage to much.' Focusing his blast down, he pulled a hand back, his palm cupped. Steadying his breath, he threw both hands forward.

"H-AGH!" The military green fist that slammed into his cheek, the flesh beign forced back i roughly agaisnt bone, flung Hiroshi away like a bullet. Slowing his momentum, Hiroshi spit a mix of saliva and blood from his mouth, his emerald eyes alight with fury.

"How! There's no where near my level!" Hiroshi said angrily, his aura flared around his form.

"Well we defeated Okarot, so I'm pretty sure we can defeat you, your nothing to us!" Spice said, floating in front of the Halfling. Each Demon had buffed up considerably, there energy just a bit more then Hiroshi could muster in his base. Steeling himself, Hiroshi raised his energy higher, his aura expanded larger, lighting the now dim city.

"Then bring it on!" Crossing his arms, Hiroshi readied himself for another onslaught. The Three Monarchs laughed evily as they swooped down at the Saiyan. Dodging around the first blow, the Halfling snapped his heel across Peppers chin, sending the demon spinning away.

"I AM A KING OF LESSER EINGS LIKE YOURSELF! YOU ARE NOTHING TO ME! IM GOING TO PICK MY TEETH WITH YOUR BONES! I HATE YOU!" Hiroshi smirked lightly at Peppers reaction. Burying a fist in Gingers stomach and sweeping his heel across the demons cheek, he focused himself on Pepper.

Rocketing off, he tackled the black demon hard, momentum driving them down into the concrete below, burying the demon beneath tons of rubble. Angling himself down, he drove the demon hundreds of feet underground, overwhelming the demon who fell apart form the force and abuse.

Spice growled as he watched. This fight wasn't going well at all. The Half Saiyan boy ahd kept complete control of the fight so far, not giving an old NCR and suffering no real damaging blows, while he tossed the Three Monarchs around liek rag dolls. Grinning wickedly, he pulled his hand back, gathering blackish Crimson energy, Rays of its demoniac light peaking through his clenched fist. Turning to the girl, his smirk widened.

"Hey you! CATCH!" Hiroshis eyes widened in fear, he was far way now to reach her! Taking a deep breath, he burst off, rocketing through the broken street like a bullet, sliding in form tof the girl with his arms crossed, the blast detonating agaisnt his arms, shockwaves blasting across the city.

[ Note the Monarchs are lying, they did not fight Okarot ]
What don't you understand? I CAN'T DIE!
As if that gives you an excuse to live.

"I'm asking nicely." Lisa said, with deadpan delivery. having managed to dodge the blast, but just barely. She found rage quite the intoxicating fuel, almost addictive. She would have to be careful with this new conviction. She had the presence of mind to grab the attack again in a portal, storing it. "Give him back now." If this guy was so tough, then she theorized using his own attacks against him would be a good idea.

"Really? You just continue digging your own grave?" Lyhn laughed as he started simply sucking up and re-absorbing the fire that was flinged back at him. "If you aren't aware, in this form I have every single power possible. Even those none of you are even aware exist. Your resistance is merely a ruse of hope. Shattered." As he said that, he suddenly drastically increased the gravity in Lisa's posotion, then proceeded to create a space-time based drill in his hand, similar in material to the android's armor.

However, he didn't get to use it, as immediately after creating it, Lucien fired a large energy wave to the monster, immobilizing Lyhn for a fraction of a second. This made him drop the gravity increase and the space drill. "I shouldn't hold back that much, it seems. You actually manage to survive at this level of power."

"I don't care if you are holding back or just toying with us! I WON'T LET YOU GET AWAY WITH THIS!" Lucien shouted and charged right towards Lyhn, ready to send his fist. It didn't go far, though, as the monster simply sent a well-placed flick and deflected the kid's assault, knocking him back on the ground.

"Fool! You will only let yourself die!" Lyhn raised his hand and fired a one handed short-range energy blast to Lucien. The attack was fired so close to him, he could barely see it coming...

This time Lisa didn't have time to grab the blast. Instead, the android just took it like a human shield. She drooped slightly as she noticed her now unusable left armour and scarred torso. She wobbled slightly and found it hard to maintain balance, but knew she had to keep Lucien safe, so put her final energies into a spacial cut bringing her right hand down, simply separating the atoms in his arm from the rest of his body, to the point where it would be sliced off. If he truly had as many powers as he said, that wouldn't stop him for long, but at least she would buy some time. She felt herself falling, her vision tinted red with warning signs as she slowly felt her battery begin to go on reserve. He must have hit part of my power source... She slowly fell, backwards towards Lucien.

So... this was what it was like... to die. She thought. No... Still alive, but for how long? I can barely move...

Corinna Erastos-2,187-Spartan Ruins

After waiting in the rain for a while, a man had finally emerged and had shown himself. Not at all what I could expect though. As I looked him over, he seemed well, too casual. At least in his dress. His manner was something far different. He almost carried himself as one from centuries past. Although something about him seemed...familiar. But once I made eye contact, my mind flashed and I knew instinctively who he was. Yes, this man is a self made King. A real fairy tale. Born a typical citizen and rose to great heights. I kept my weapons sheathed as I approached him. "King of Ur, Mad Max they call you. One such as you cannot find the comfort of not being known." I then stopped, surprised by his kneeling and referring to me as the greatest warrior in the histories of the Gods. I was quite amused. "Being the Last does not always make one the Greatest, Max, however I do appreciate the sentiment." I then drew my sword and watched as the rain pelted it.

"You wish me to grant you knowledge of the Spartan ways of warfare?" I then motioned that he could rise. "I will assume you know the history of my people, our customs as well. To learn how a Spartan fights in battle is not simply knowledge. Or skill, you must understand the essence of what a Spartan is. It is not like karate or kung fu, something you simply train yourself to learn. It is a way of life, a Spartan was a warrior. The fight was to breathe, to battle, to live and to die by sword was more than duty but an honor." I then sized up the mountain of a man, clearly fit and physically able to learn any skill I am sure.

"I can see you are fit and strong. And your mind is as sharp as my blade. But, you are a king, a man above all others. And if you are like any king in history, you have the mentality of a king that it comes with. But, you have done an odd thing for someone of your rank and title. You have bowed before another and for that alone, I will attempt to instill in you what it means to live, and die as a Spartan." Finally, I drew a little closer.

"I will ask that you grant me one, of two things in return for this service, King." My voice then dropped as my tone darkened considerably. "I have lived for a long time. I have seen kingdoms rise and fall, and through all of it I have been adrift with out purpose. Alone, so I ask that if it is within your power, for you to gift me with purpose. Ares, has...attempted to do so. But I find it lacking to say the least. But if you cannot grant me a purpose for which to continue my cursed life. I will ask that you grant me the death worthy of my heritage. Am I understood?" I questioned the man. Certain that the cost was not too high for him.

But almost certain that he would be unable to grant me a purpose in which I find satisfying. After all, if my own God of War cannot find a cause that lights my heart and must bribe me with mortality, then what could this man offer me in return for my skills?

I listened to the comforting sound of Queen's laughter. Rolling my head back as she mentioned that she had not even shown me crazy yet I stated nonchalantly. "Oh, I doubt you could show me anything that, that man, has not." I could not even speak The Joker's name now, I found it so infuriating. Although it was, odd. As much as I despise him, and as much as I want to end his miserable life. I found myself in his debt, for freeing me from the madness that is sanity. I then began to drone to answer her question, as she so nicely put it I needed more than one bad day to get to where I am at. "Oh, I am not even sure I remember anymore. Sometimes I believe it happened one way, and then I consider another. Things like memories are always more fun in multiple choice." I said crackling with a giggle.

"But it really is strange isn't it? I mean, I was exposed to the Joker's gas but it did not kill me. I awoke and realized how mad life was. Billions of people waking up and doing the same things every day...with no thought to any of it. Or they keep themselves buried by society's rules and suffocate trying to remain 'normal' or starve to death by working for scraps when they could simply take what they need. My dear queensy, we are not the crazy ones. At least not any more." I then stood up in front of her and shot my arms out into the direction of Gotham.

"They are the ones who are INSANE!" I then turned around to face Silver Queen again.

"Of all I remember living in their world life was dull and grey. Terrifying even. I lived everyday in fear and alone. Hoping that someone would come and take me away. Well, the man who showed up in hindsight was...really unimpressive. The point is, I dont live in that world anymore. Now everything is music and color and endless gags and fun. Anything we want!" I then began to quiet down, as new possibilities opened up in my mind.

"What if we could free them from their madness, expose them to how life is meant to be lived? Free from all restraints and open to all whims! They are so like zoo animals, locked in a cage and scared to go into the unfamiliar. I then grew excited, sliding back onto the bench and pressing right up against the Silver Queen.

"We can do it. We can be the heroes of this city and rescue all of them from their dull and miserable lives! Let them see through our eyes, is it not so much more preferable? Dont you love who you are now compared to who you used to be?" I asked, now sliding my head onto her lap and looking up into her eyes.

"I know I do. I believe we are meant to do this forever." I said, closing my eyes but remaining very much awake. As I awaited Silver Queen to take her turn.

I seemed destined to not be able to sleep tonight. As I began to wake up just as the sun was rising. Stirring from my slumber I stood up, partially dressed after sleeping in my clothes and plodded off to the bathroom, letting out a groan as I relieved myself I brushed my teeth and had some coffee. Only after drinking half the cup did I remember the kids, as I picked myself up and wondered down the small apartment and to the back room, as I found them sleeping, both on the bed, but seemingly so afraid of accidently touching each other in their sleep that they were both near falling off the opposite ends of the bed, and the blanket was stretched to it's limit. Still, I have no idea what I will be doing with them, part of me wanted to hand them over to a foster home. But, something in the back of my mind told me that they needed to stay here.

Or that I needed them to stay here.

I knocked on their bedroom wall as I woke them up. "Wake up, your late for school." I mused as they began to complain under their breaths. I sat back down in the living room and dressed myself for work. Placing my cooks uniform on as I saw them exit the room, both dressed in wrinkled clothes but seemed clean. I sighed and led them out the door as I thought that I would now have to send their clothes to the cleaners. Walking out into the parking lot, armed with my sunglasses and the sun beating down on my unbrushed hair covered with my work hat. I passed by the lot and began walking them in the direction of the school when they stopped. Growing annoyed I turned around and inquired as to why they were waiting.

"Where is your car?" The boy quipped, looking around. While his sister chimed in. "Probably at the shop, I doubt he can afford to get it fixed though." I was now growing impatient.

"I dont have a car. But if the two of you keep messing with me I will be picking you up from school in the garbage truck I use at work, understood?" Not wanting to call the bluff the both of them hurried up and dashed on ahead of me. I was not worried, as long as I could keep them in sight. The quiet was a big help anyways.

As we walked on, I spotted a local school bully up ahead. Who began to tease Melody about her teddy bear backpack. However, he began to retreat away once he saw I was approaching. The fact that I looked like a recently released inmate likely helped. But at the steps of the school I looked over the both of them and wished them a good day and began to walk away.

"Wait, is that it?" I turned around, honestly confused.
"What? Do I have to walk you in?" I asked, blinking from behind my sun glasses.
"Well, you could act as if you gave a jelly bean crap and come inside to meet our teachers and wish us luck and all." I sighed and pressed my hand against my temple.
"So, what I am your dad now?" I questioned.
"No, but you are the man who is responsible for taking care of us until mommy gets back." I then grunted and turned around.
"I am going to take care of the two of you, and to do that. I need to keep my crappy jobs. The one where I am half an hour late for. How about this, I will let you go in now by yourselves and when I pick you up today, I will meet your teacher's then OK?" It was phrased like a question but had the tone of a statement.

The two of them shuffled their feet and mumbled an 'OK' and walked inside. I turned around as I looked at my watch. Seven twenty five in the morning. It would take me another fifteen minutes to walk to work, less than ten if I jog.

I began to break off into a light jog down the street, as I thought to myself. The morphing stone still settled in my pocket as I began to think about what my activities were costing me. My occasional patrols do not pay the bills and I with my recently discovered kids I cant risk losing my jobs.

Finally arriving at my destination I removed my sun glasses and prepared to cook meals far more expensive than most clothes I own. Moving into work I kept an ear open as the fine dining establishment was actually owned by a local crime boss. But even that, does not stop me from being reamed before work by my boss like any other employee.

Lucien Gediminid
Lyhn

Theme - Legend of Anger

Lucien widened his eyes as, instead of him taking the full blunt of the attack, Lisa, the android that came with him and Augustin, had decided to sacrifice her life for him. Taking the hit, she saved the young Saiyan boy, at the cost of her own life, or at least as far as Lucien was aware. Her body fell right on his shoulder, unmoving and motionless, like a corpse. He could not believe what he was seeing. It was a massacre - first his father gets absorbed and likely will stay there forever, and now Lisa, the only person besides Augustin Lucien knew and could talk with, died as well... You worthless monster..., the boy thought, but couldn't do anything. Slowly moving Lisa's body on the ground, he looked at the android girl's 'corpse'. He could only see an emotionless, almost "dying" face in front of him. It started bringing out tears from him, seeing a person this hurt.

Meanwhile, Lyhn also didn't expect the girl to simply jump in in front of the attack. And at the same time, she managed to actually hurt him. That's something he never experienced before. Pain. And damage. His armor quickly regenerated, as if nothing happened there in the first place, but he didn't forget that feeling. It was something... something he didn't like, that pain. And he wanted to make sure that it doesn't happen. "Well, at least I have to deal with only one of you now. I have to say, feeling hurt is something I don't want to experience. You won't see the light of day no more, you fool." What he saw in front of him was a weeping Lucien in front of Lisa's body. The boy was crying rather silently, as if trying to cover up his inner pain. But he couldn't. The tears, pushed by gravity, dropped on the girl's beautiful cheeks, one after another.

"You... selfish bastard!" Lucien cried out in a rage-filled and angry tone, standing on his knees with tear-filled eyes. This was the first time Lyhn's advances were actually hindered by mere speech. He was a bit... shocked. Shocked by what? A boy shouting? That's preposterous!

"What? Who do you think I am?" Lyhn tried to counter Lucien's words, but to no avail. The Saiyan continued his verbal assault, as his body started being covered by a dim white fiery aura.

"That's what I said... You get angry because you were hurt... And yet you have no emotions when someone, a living, talking person, dies in front of your eyes. You get mad when we fight you and survive... and at the same time, you smirk when to hurt a child." Lucien spoke, in a tone and manner of speech not really associated with him. The boy's hair started to lengthen and slowly rise up, as if pushed back by heavy wind. Small sparks of bio-electricity were also visible, indicating a large power increase incoming or already happening. "Father, Lisa - they are someone I really care about, and yet you extinguish their lives like blowing off candles. And that's not to count the ones I don't know that you are going to kill if I don't stop you, here and now..."

Lucien took a palm of sand-like material that the ground was made of, and started slowly crushing it with his hand, while his tears were wetting it and darkening it. I won't be able to do it... Lyhn is too powerful...

You HAVE to, Lucien... The fate of all of existence is in your hands...

But... where will I gather all the power from... Lyhn is far too powerful for me to handle...

Remember Lyhn's victoms, Lucien... Faces of Augustin and Lisa flashed in his mind multiple times throughout these words, as Lucien's hair started briefly flashing from black to golden. Your father and Lisa... they were your friends... and you want to forget about their misery? Fight it! You have power far greater than what you can even imagine... now USE it!

"I... I..." Lucien finally spoke after a brief moment of silence, as a war of thoughts raged in his mind. "I won't let you get away with this... YOU MONSTER!" The transformation was beginning. As the earth around the two fighters crumbled and the boy was screaming at the top of his lungs, Lucien's body arched back, with arms at his sides curled up into fists, and his body being covered in a thick, fiery and quite bio-electric golden aura, his hair stood up and went into pure glowing golden beauty. It took a few seconds, until the transformation resulted in a massive burst of golden light, scattered across the cavern, and as it was over, a new Lucien was here.

He was no longer kneeling down and weeping, although his eyes were still somewhat watered. Now he was standing and looking at Lyhn with an angry look and hazel eyes. No more was he a normal Saiyan - he was a Super Saiyan.

"From Father to Lisa, your life has been followed by a trail of victims..." Lucien spoke in a much more different tone than usual. Far more stoic, rage-filled and ever a tad bit deeper than normal. "Now it's personal, Lyhn. Sorry, but I can't allow you to live."

After shouting at the monkey boy, Garnet merely continued to hide behind the wall, observing the fight intently and gripping Misery tightly with both hands as she waited for an opportunity to unlead its mystic bullets on one of the demons and simultaneously hoped that she wouldn't have to and that the aliens would either go away or get pummeled by the boy with the tail already. And, sure enough, Hiroshi seemed to have the fight under control, dodging the attacks of the Monarchs and knocking them around with relative ease, though he was causing wanton destruction in the process, something she wasn't entirely happy about. Sure, the place she currently lived in with her boyfriend was quite a ways away from there, away from danger, and most of those buildings that were getting wrecked by the battle were probably for rich people who could likely replace the stuff they lost, but what if they were inside at the time? Even if she assumed that they weren't good people she still didn't think they deserved to die, and in any case, that was her city that was getting torn apart in battle, she didn't enjoy seeing these people mess it up.

Her confidence in Hiroshi's ability to just win the fight by himself diminished, though, when he got smacked around a bit by the Monarchs, causing him to lose the energy he was gathering and shout out in rage. The remaining alien demons seemed stronger now, much tougher than before, and in response Hiroshi powered himself up as well. Truly, Garnet had no idea what manner of monsters were these - all of them, including Hiroshi - that they could simply continue increasing their fighting power indefinitely. The strange psychological influence Misery exerted on her kept her from panicking, but even then, she was starting to feel a bit uncomfortable, doubting that she'd be able to do much even with the mystic gun.

However, as she continued watching the battle, she noted, with some relief, that Hiroshi seemed perfectly capable of keeping up with those things. He even put one down for good, or at least that's what it looked like. She was about to see if she could just leave and let him finish up the job himself, when suddenly she heard someone, one of the alien demons, shouting at her. Turning, she saw the least ugly of the Monarch firing off a blast of dark crimson energy off towards her. Now, usually this wouldn't have been such a great problem, since she could always roll away and at most get tossed around by the explosion, but in her attempt to hide from the aliens she had gotten herself in a spot where there was no space to dodge. Shrinking where she sat and putting her arms in front of her, she closed her eyes and waited for it to be over.

Soon the explosion occured, and she got flung into the wall behind her with great force due to the ensuing shockwave, coughing up a bit of blood as she landed, the impact causing quite a bit of damage to her. But what surprised her the most was that she was alive. Looking up, she noticed the boy with the tail standing in front of her with his arms crossed, completely unscathed, seemingly having tanked the blast for her. Needless to say, she was grateful, even if the explosion had still done quite a number on her. She was still alive, that was enough for her. The fact that technically it was his fault for causing her to get involved didn't really cross her mind, though it likely would later.

Now that she had come to terms with the fact that the boy with the tail had saved her, Garnet stood up. Ordinarily, she would have been scared shitless by then. She'd likely have run away already, desperately trying to get somewhere safe and probably leading her assailants to such a place in the process. But that's not what happened here. The psychological influence that Misery was exerting on her was consolidating its hold on her, and so, instead of fear, she felt anger. She was incredibly pissed off at these things. They dared attack her? She would show them not to mess with humans.

With a fire in her eyes, Garnet walked past Hiroshi, standing in front of him, and pointed Misery at the alien that had attacked her, Spice. "Eat bullets, you alien bastard!" She shouted at the top of her lungs, unloading another clip of mystic bullets before starting the countdown. Five seconds. Five seconds until Misery reloaded itself.

To my mathematical brain, the numbers alone make thinking about aliens perfectly rational. The real challenge is to work out what aliens might actually be like.

Stephen Hawking

The night was silent except for the gentle whistle of the salty air and the soft rustle of the waves as they brushed serenely against the humble shore. A small cove lay nearby where a few nesting sea gulls began to settle in for the night. There was an almost dreamlike air about this place, and the hypnotic coming in and rushing out of the water could easily put one to sleep. Then the air was shattered by a deep, rumbling echo that shook the ground. Something like a shooting star began to streak across the sky. In an instant the star shot downward and landed with a huge spray of sand into the air as it landed. An eerie whine was uttered by the giant meteor like pod, which was covered in spines and bioluminescent pores that dotted its dark green surface. For a few minutes the pod sat unmoving as steam poured out of it in all directions like an unnatural fog. Then came a sickening crack, and the orb split open like a giant egg into three enormous pieces, unleashing a torrent of fresh steam into the air. A rancid smell perforated the air.

In the center of the wreckage was a disgusting amorphous tower of slime and green tendrils that shifted and morphed in an endless cycle of chaotic movement. Suddenly the mass slunk down to the soft sand, slithering across the earth. The large fragments bent and merged with the mass, eager to rejoin into its full self. Tentacles shot forward and pulled the slithering creature over the ground in an unnatural gait. Lúxvälik-Taerr could see in the distance two figures laying on the beach. They were making a strange noise that he concluded was laughter. From their smell he could make out that one was male and the other female, each around the final stages of puberty. Silently he slunk towards them, and before they even knew he was there was towering over them. Their faces contorted in shock and fear, butbefore they could scream they were frozen in place by the mind of the giant creature. It quickly rummaged through their minds, copying everything he found down as his own memories. Then he erased their memory of having saw him, and continued on its way. As it continued into the forest, it could hear them continuing their conversation and laughter as if nothing had happened, completely unaware of what had just happened.

It stopped after a few seconds and regarded itself. It began morphing into another form, slowly at first, then quickly condensing into a shape more fitting of this planet

as it continued on its way it began to morph further into the form of the man it had seen. He mimicked his entire body, down to the cellular structure. He then began looking around the forest that surrounded him. This planet seems to be a classic primary ecological setup, though the lower life forms seem more characteristics of a tertiary enviornment. Strange... He continued on his path, documenting everything he saw for transmission to his master later.

'He transferred all his energy into speed, it's amazing he's nit dead right now!' Ginger recoiled in fear, this SAIYAN was truly a monster, he'd taken their blast at its fullest power, and from what he could see, the Saiyan was worse for wear, his Gi ripped and torn, blood poured from wounds along his arms and chest. But his forearms had definetly taken the worst damage, burned to the bone in his left arm. The girl was a rather ballsy one, as Hiroshi coughed out a mouthful of blood, she murdered Spice, the demon convulsing as he was flung away from the force.

"Heh…Heh…Heh… Maybe I shouldn't have taken that full on." Hiroshinsaid with a tired grin, turning to Garnet. He definetly had it end this soon, or let this girl fight them all alone, and he didn't know her energy, but had a creeping suspicion that she wouldn't ladt against these guys. How they had even together injured a Super Saiyan so heavily was still mysterious to him, it was like they were getting stronger every time he defeated one, and whoever these freaks belonged to, let alone named these basrards, was gonna get beaten to death with their own arms.

"You look a bit peakish Saiyan, perhaps you'd like to sit down?" A kick to the neck sent the Saiyan stumbling, spinning around, he buried his fist into Cinnamons gut, spittle flying from his mouth, ducking low, he swept the demons feet out from under him, flipping back to bicycle kick the beats into the sky. Everything kinda hurt now to be honest, and the longer he fought, the more painful it was to move, let alone fight off these bastards.

"Maybe you should take your own advice, this battle isn't exactly in your favor at the moment." Hiroshi coughed out, blood dripping last his lips as he smirked. Gingers howl echoed across the city, the demon throwing sloppy blows at the Halfling, the boy simply dodging around them, making sure to dish out some of his own blows as they clashed. Swiping his heel across Gingers face, he back flipped away.

Landing in a crouch, he crossed his arms on his chest, taking a deep breath. His eyes were deadly serious as he focused his Ki into a destructive wave, hopefully killing the second to last remaining demon, so he could focus more on the final beast in his way.

"Stop!… Hammer time." Hiroshi gave a wicked grin as he detonated his energy, sending the two demons bouncing away. Cinnamon rolled to a stop, but then he felt a white hot pain in hhis side, like a fire poker had been forced through his heart, looking down, Cinnamon saw the epicenter of his wound, and Hiroshi with an outstretched finger, a blinding azure light on the tip of his finger. Groaning the demon fell down, coughing up blood.

"Gotcha!" Hiroshi grinned wickedly as he turned to Ginger, ready to finish this fight.

Lúxvälik-Taerr hovered over the surface of the harbor, watching as the smoke billowed up from the city. New York it was called. What looked like a small pigeon flew close to him, then suddenly dove straight into his chest, merging into his skin. It was good that his underlings were so good at disguise. He wished to have a moment of surprise on whatever was causing such destruction. He bolted upwards with a hum of energy. The air vibrated around him as he went. As he floated above the remains of the buildings he saw three figures. He immediately identified one as a human, one as a saiyan, and one of unknown origin. quickly he planned what to do. He landed nearby, cloaked in telekinetic energy. The saiyan was injured quite heavily. He wondered what force could have done that so easily. He wondered if they would notice him, even in this form.

"I'll call you what I want. I guess your will is really strong to not be lost from the demon power." While Kirana was fighting, Sayaku was compressing more demon power in his hand, to see the other applications. Unsurprisingly, Virgil came after him because of how he powered up Kirana.

"Son of a..." Sayaku started, watching Kirana fall to the green gas he could only assume was kryptonite. He quickly did a double take towards the android, then flew back to Kirana. He carried her out of the gas, which ought to have done the trick, but he was being thorough. Sayaku started to deliver CPR, the chest-pounding bit, not the mouth bit. He was afraid she would bite his face off if he did.

"You're not gonna die on me," He said, now ignoring the injured android. "You're just not. Not my first minion, not my first..." Sayaku couldn't finish talking, but there wasn't much to say as he teared up. Why? I barely know her? He thought, but Sayaku hadn't an explanation.

The Templar High Council wrote:"Alright.

He couldn't dodge the lasers, but luckily, his reflexes were faster than Shizuo's aim and he was able to dodge that instead. "You're not a bad shot. I wasn't going to ask you to do it Julie.

Shizuo threw up a shield to block the shock, but stopped fighting for a second as he listened to Alex. "I'm fine if the Martian wants to fight. Then I could see how everyone here fights, at least to an extent." Shizuo twirled his gun. It felt pretty good to stretch like this, even if it wasn't a real fight. It was so exhilarating, like being supercharged.

"The more combat experience we have, the better. Especially against different types of opponents. Gives us versatility." Alex said with his feet firmly on the ground, but spread apart before standing back upright normally. "Before we continue. I want to make sure that Julie has a fair shot. No fun if her powers are being suppressed while ours are free as can be. Julie, tell me if my idea is crazy. But your collar, while having phasing technology, does not go invisible when something is phasing through it. Meaning light itself would not phase through like say a construct. I could try and fire a small beam of light and effective cut it off. I also have another idea, but we'd need to get you some sound proof headgear." A full power Martian Green Lanter, an Android, A superweapon, and an Arcosian. One hell of a team in his mind. They had quite a bit of firepower between the 4 of them. Something which gave Alex the tiniest beam of hope.

The Rebel Alliances wrote:-Corinna Erastos

Mad Max Morningstar

The tall, mighty King of Ur stood idle, looking down the bridge of his nose at Corinna, the Last Spartan, warrior of world-renown, as he described her thoughts and feelings on the subject. Perhaps it was more of mental examination, his physical prowess be damned, but still, he listened intently and with purpose, nodding along as she spoke of the Spartan way of life and combat doctrine. It was not a skill, but a code, not to be taught, to be instilled, indoctrinated, inherited even. Mad Max knew exactly what he was driving headfirst into with this woman, the immortal Corinna.

He lowered his face and narrowed his eyes, looking directly at the Spartan as he pieced together his response. "A purpose, or a meaningful death." He repeated, perhaps to ensure he had heard correctly, or maybe seeing if she would change her mind. "After being so long removed from history, I would have thought that you would know by now that man must make his own purpose. However, I understand that your case and cause is much different than my own, and anyone elses' in particular."

"It is glory and honor for your people, no? Or maybe it is to aid others, feed the hungry, care for the sick. Ares can gift you vast swaths of lands, the very kingdoms and empires you have seen rise and fall, Corinna, millions of people to do your bidding and to lord over, but what he cannot grant you is compassion. The ability to care for and love another being so much that you feel physical pain. Perhaps you've felt that anguish once or twice before in your longevity, but by now, that feeling must have eroded into nothing but a distant, nostalgic memory from ages long past, and for people long dead. I say this not to entice you or to belittle you, far from it, I say this to inspire you."

"I will give you purpose, and if I fail to do so, I swear upon the blood of my ancestors and future kin, that I will shatter the very skies themselves in battle against you. To die and to be remembered for all ages, to be taken in and accept the greatest honor a Spartan can ever hold, death in battle. Perhaps that is your purpose, no? Earth shall tremble and Heaven shall weep when we come to blows, and at it's glorious climax, I will plunge my sword deep into your very being and give you one final purpose in life: To die." He stood proud, his speech reverberating and making him appear larger than life,

"Therefore, Ms. Erastos, you are understood with the utmost sincerity. No matter what, I will give you purpose!"

"It's not a foreign concept to me. I was in the same position, but I couldn't access it because magic is a load of bullshit. But that is no longer an issue." Alex said happily soaking up the the solar rays from the sun. A team of heavy hitters? Could that work? Of course it could. What anyone wouldn't give for an army of Supermen. "Interesting. Tell you what, unless you think it will blow up Mars, why don't you show us? If you're unskilled with the use of your power, then it would be smart for you to learn how to use it. It's not like there's anything here other than ice and some ancient exploration equipment." Alex suggested. He wanted everyone in tip top shape. Walking into Nightmare half cocked was only going to get them murdered quickly. Not something he was keen on doing to his new friends. "Also. I will find a plate of space brownies for whoever comes up with the coolest name for our group."

Rebecca Phillips/The Jester-20 Yrs-Gotham City

“Did I say that out loud?” She asked, giggling slightly. She still felt a little giggly after that laughing fit. She wasn’t ashamed or embarrassed, by her outburst. “Oh, I do that occasionally. Old memories…” She muttered, ending her laughter. She could’t help but put a hand on her hair, which felt rather nice and soft.

“But… You’re right.” She said, “The reality is that none of this is really real at all. All of these people walking around, masks to hide the real selves. Prisons to cage themselves lest they actually have some fun. They don’t get that they could free themselves with just the right push. They’re too scared of breaking their monotonous cycle to jump over that edge…”

“Someone has to show them that life can be more than just… life. If theres anything my past proved, it’s that they won’t do it themselves. I spent so long denying it, fearing myself… but when I let go… it was beautiful… almost euphoric. Ever since I’ve been free and felt better than I ever have in my entire life.”

She looked down, smiling at the Jester. She would have locked with her eyes with they were open. “We can do it. Together, and I think there’s no one in the world I’d rather do it with than you.” She told her partner.

“The light idea could work, though you’d have to be careful not to cut into my flesh or something.” She said, “Though, Even with that risk I wouldn’t mind getting it off that way. And if we really need too I could provide sound proof gear with my Lantern ring. Really that should be simple enough.”

She turned to the android, giving him a smile “It would be cool if you could show us. After all we should probably work out everyones capabilities.” She said. “Also, team name… The Ultimates? The Star Squadron?”
